My little sister and I had a FANTASTIC experience at Austin Urban Retreat Day Spa. We both enjoyed the massage and facial a lot. It felt so relaxing. I could feel the stress leaving my body! I highly recommend this spa and look forward to visiting again!

Excellent spa. I have been here a couple of years ago and again this week and the service was great. The receptionist is very kind and helpful. I had the radiant glow facial with Dee and she was extremely knowledgeable and skilled. They carry a Texas made cosmetics line that is very affordable and I am very happy with the eye serum that I purchased. Highly recommend the spa.

Excellent in every single aspect ! They do an amazing job. I see Lisa on the front desk and Summer for brows and lashes every 2 months without fail! They are just outstanding at what they do, as well as being lovely and kind people.

My first facial here & Jennifer was amazing! So welcoming, made me feel so confident & comfortable. I felt my skin concerns & goals were understood and she was extremely professional & friendly. The front desk gal was lovely too. I’ll definitely be back!

Urban Retreat is a hidden gem! Staff is warm and inviting. Sulema is my massage therapist. Phenomenal! Lisa is the first person you often see. Beautiful smile and personality. Love this spa!!

This is my second time here and first time with Dee. She was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable about my skin care. She knew exactly what I needed for a perfect relaxing facial. I love how peaceful and relaxing the location is. I am definitely coming back for my monthly facial and next time will make sure to have more time and book a massage. Highly recommend this spa!! I booked for our bachelorette group to go here and we got pampered - massages were amazing. We hung out in the Relaxation Room (comfy couches, candles, wine and tea) before and after massages. I wanted it to feel special for the bride so I asked for robes for us which we were kindly given. The staff were kind and professional. We were even given little goodie bags at the end. Thank you for the great memories!

I had been looking for a good massage therapist that does deep tissue massage for awhile. I recently started receiving massages from Dee and I have to say that her work is a 10/10! Dee is extremely professional, knowledgeable and her environment is clean and welcoming. Highly recommend Dee!

I had a great experience with Summer for my brow tint! The spa is very clean and relaxing and it’s in a great location! I’ll definitely be back!

The massage was good. However I reserved and paid for a sports massage and got what was more or less a standard massage. On the website the description of the sports massage said it used foam rollers, deep tissue work, stretching, massage balls, but none of that was used. There was a little movement of the joints and firm pressure but nothing like what was described. I still came out relaxed and the pressure was good for a standard massage but I was hoping to alleviate pain and spasmodic muscles .

Jennifer did my facial and she is amazing! Highly recommend her for all male friends who don’t know much about facials - she gotchu!Also Summer is great and she helps me get so many promotions and is so super nice!!!!!

She was a sweetheart from the start. Asked me questions about my experience with facials and my skincare routine. She took the time to ask me what I was expecting out of her services and what my favorite part about facials are. All the products she used on me smelled beautiful and felt so gentle and hydrating.I absolutely loved the treatment I got. I am new to Austin, and was looking for a spa that uses Eminence products. I am so happy that I found this place, after a not so great facial at another spa. Danielle gave me an awesome facial. Just what I was looking for. She is very knowledgeable. I liked all of the products she used, and felt they were appropriate for my goals and skin type. She also gave me some great tips that I will use with my daily routine. The spa itself is very nice and relaxing. All the staff is warm and welcoming.

Great experience! Did brow lamination, and the ambiance and quality is great at this place. Was happy to find a smaller business option that can provide a great spa experience!

My fiance and I went in for the couples package and it was hands down the best experience we’ve ever had. From the front desk staff, our massage, and facial service. It was great. Will definitely be returning.

I have come to this glorious retreat several times. Every. Single. Time. I have been met with kindness and professionalism. I’ve had facials and a variety of massages. No matter who works on you, you will feel refreshed, focused and relaxed. I have even been able to get a same day appointment on occasion! Come check them out!

The most magical experience I could have ever gone through with Austin Urban Retreat! Everyone was very professional and welcoming. Very well done massage by Trey, I’ve had 2 sessions and he crushed it every time! Lisa at the front was just full of warmth and happiness throughout the experience as well. HIGHLY recommend for any sort of spa needs! The skincare is TOP TIER!

Horrible experience would rate this place and the manager 0 stars if it would let me. what kind of a manager calls and text from their own personal number threatening a minor because they had to cancel because they misunderstood the website. And than go back on thier website and change the price .

Jennifer did a great job on my facial & had great lifting techniques. She knew what she was doing & gave me what my skin needed. Was in Austin on vacation and decided to get a massage. After doing some searching on Google decided on trying out Austin Urban Retreat. I had a deep tissue massage and a full body scrub. Oh my! I feel really good. I was so relaxed I think I may have fell asleep a couple times during the massage :) Sulema was my therapist. She did an awesome job! I highly recommend this place. I wished I lived in Austin so I can come often! If you are in the area and need a massage you should definitely try out this place !

Clean inviting and relaxing. They were able to accommodate the party of 6 we had for a 40th birthday. Everyone was very pleased with their massage and facials.

Dee is a magician.This body has experience more cycling classes than I care to count. I expressed my need for healing and she delivered like a pro. The consummate professional, she kept to the task at hand (hands maybe) and provided a deep, healing experience.A therapist to me is only as good as the energy and intent. And after sharing a few words I knew that Dee was good people. She was quiet but happy to chat. Super respectful and quite adept and taking what the tension in my body was giving her. I bemoaned the tight hips, and she used cupping and a bit of stretching/body manipulation to target the specified area.Not only will I be back, I will wholeheartedly endorse her to any athlete looking for a reset. She can do the level of work you need.

I’ve had multiple Swedish massages here and they’ve all been excellent. I would recommend Trey, Dee or Sulema - all different but all great massage therapists. 10/10.

Sule was incredibly intuitive! She used the perfect pressure and reduced tension in all of the places I targeted. I will be back!

I rarely go out of my way to write google reviews but I felt it was necessary for my experience with the manager at this facility.I recently visited Urban Retreat Spa in Austin for a teeth whitening service and unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience. Not only did the treatment make no difference, but my attempt to address my concerns with the staff was met with unprofessionalism and a complete lack of empathy from the manager.When I contacted the spa to express my dissatisfaction, the manager was dismissive, unhelpful, and downright rude. Instead of acknowledging my concerns, she chose to belittle me, using condescending terms like honey and labeling me as rude. Her laughter and refusal to take my concerns seriously only added to the frustration of the situation.In any customer service interaction, professionalism and empathy are key. Urban Retreat Spa fell short on both fronts. As a customer who expected a certain level of service, I was met with disrespect and an unwillingness to address a legitimate concern.I will not be coming back.

Literally the best massage and facial I have ever had. The place is very comfortable from the time you walk in. The staff knows all your answers to any questions. Very professional and a super clean environment. You will not be disappointed. Save your time on other places and go experience what Urban Retrear has to offer. Hands down the best around.

I stopped by here to get my teeth whitened and they did a great job. They are very kind, supportive of your wants and needs. The lady who cleaned my teeth checked on me every ten minutes and the process only took 30 minutes. She was very knowledgeable and apparently was just trained. So that tells me they care about employees and want to produce great results for clients. The lady at the front is super sweet and helpful. I will be back for a massage soon! Thank you to the team.

I’ve gotten many facials and Austin but this is the best spot in Austin in my opinion. The ambiance is fantastic and the staff is the sweetest!

Jennifer was wonderful! My first facial in years and she made me so comfortable and relaxed. I got a custom facial with microdermabrasion and an eye treatment and it was bliss! 10/10 would recommend and will be returning

I cannot say enough about Austin Urban Retreat. Its a beautiful space and lovely atmosphere with a very personable and professional staff who provide excellent services. This tucked away treasure will make you feel pampered during your entire visit. The front desk is welcoming and from there you will step inside the soothing oasis of the lounge. It is a very serene and peaceful space. And then there are the services. I had the All That Spa Day package and it was one of the most relaxing and recharging spa experiences I have ever had. During my Swedish massage my masseur, who had magical hands, was great working on all of the spots I mentioned and very attentive in making sure the pressure was comfortable for me. The Champagne Back Scrub was just what I needed and made my back backless dress ready. Absolutely wonderful results. My custom facial with Tammy was incredible. She took great care of me and the service really is personal and custom from start to finish. She made great recommendations and my skin looked amazing afterwards. It looked bright and hydrated and honestly my skin has never looked more glowy. The products used are incredible. And the lavender scalp massage was the icing on the cake. It was beyond relaxing. This boutique spa really delivers with its top tier services. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Jessie is the BEST! I’ve seen her for years and her combination of knowledge, experience & her ashiatsu technique is unbeatable. Cannot recommend her enough! Make sure to add cupping to your service as she finds the most amazing way for them to complement her massage technique while making sure you are comfortable & still relaxed the whole time. Go see Jessie, you won’t regret it!

This spa is the best spa experience I have had in Austin. I received a facial and full body massage. The masseuse was amazing and everything felt, looked and smelled excellent. The attention to detail is second to none. Tammie really was amazing the whole way through. I can’t recommend this Austin Urban Retreat enough.

Had a massage with Danielle today she was so amazing! I usually get pretty antsy after half an hour but didn’t want this to end! Place is really cute and clean and everyone was super friendly. They were the easiest to book online and had same day availability. Definitely coming back here!

Update/amendment/reply to owners response.I will update my review by saying that while they didn’t violate Hippa, they did share client info and I have proof of that. While I did have to cancel due to my friend being sick an hour before, when I INITIALLY made the booking BY PHONE(never once visited the website), there was NO MENTION OF CANCELLATION FEES OR POLICIES. However, circumstances changed, and when I reached out to AUSTIN URBAN RETREAT by phone to discuss RESCHEDULING, they again did not inform me about a cost to reschedule/cancel. I also received no invoice/notification that I was being charged the FULL amount of services. When I expressed my concerns about not being informed about the charges they were unhelpful and unsympathetic. Then I felt I was FORCED to reschedule in order not to lose out on the full cost of services. As a customer, I believe it is the responsibility of the business to be transparent about their policies and fees, especially if they can significantly impact the customers experience. By failing to disclose the rescheduling/cancellation fee during the booking process (via phone), Austin Urban Retreat exhibited poor communication and lack of integrity. I would advise looking for alternative options that prioritize transparency and customer service.This is my update after I spoke with the owner (Tammy). It was yet ANOTHER horrible experience. First let me say she didn’t call me the next day like I was told, but rather I had to call her. The front desk, Summer, asked for my cell AGAIN, even though I had given it to her previously. When I asked Summer to confirm this she became very rude and hung up on me. The owner then called me from her personal cell, on block, (knowing it won’t be recorded) as all phone conversations on the business phones are recorded, then she proceeded to be EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL as soon as I answered. She raised her voice, cut me off multiple times, and was more focused on how to educate me on customer service than actually providing any customer service. She was also very bothered by my previous 1 star review and yelled about how much it hurts her business and threatened to have it removed. I actually had every intention of either editing or removing the review pending the outcome to which she thought I couldn’t (you can), but I won’t, due to how unprofessional she was on the phone. She also tried to intimidate me by saying she has my phone conversation recorded where I was upset. GOOD! Everything I said over the phone is what I put in my review. I didn’t badger or degrade anyone, unlike the way she spoke to me when she THOUGHT nothing was being recorded. As for the “high expectations” of this business, they are not high enough, they don’t even meet the basic standards of customer service, (communication) Also let me WARN EVERYONE, this business shared client info that I have proof of.

Dee did a fantastic job! Very relaxing! I had a wonderful time. Very clean, fancy facility. I’d definitely recommend. My 3 girls friends and I all got to go at the same time and we all loved the Swedish massages we got.

Guys, I truly enjoyed my experience here🙌🙌🙌. I definitely recommend and would totally book again! I got a deep tissue for myself and a swedish massage for my cousin.My cousin had to bring her daughter 👩‍👧 because of some last minute change in plans, and the staff was very accommodating and understanding. Danielle, my massage therapist, was also very talented and kept me relaxed the entire time💆‍♂️. She helped get some tough knots out 🥲 and really knew what she was doing. Sulema is literally the BEST massage therapist in this entire city. Words can not express how detail oriented she is. I can’t ever leave without booking another session and you’re definitely going to want 90 minutes. Not to mention, the entire staff is super sweet and welcoming so if you’re looking for a massage in Austin, look no further.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!! I booked two massages and since my friend got sick, I had no choice, but to cancel and was going to call back to reschedule, but they charged me a cancellation fee!!! For being sick!!! And The front desk Summer, DID NOT WARN ME of this while on the phone!! Had I known I would have only cancelled one appointment instead of two!! Completely blindsided me and when I called to talk to the manager she’s coincidentally out of town! The owner is supposed to call me, we’ll see what happens, will come back with updates!!

I went back for another last minute massage with Dee — this time a 90min because the first time doing the 60min wasn’t long enough!! It was as wonderful as the first one! Really can’t say enough about this place!! I’ve gotten lashes, a lash tint and lift from Summer as well and my natural lashes have grown so much and look amazing!!

I just went in to pick up some product after a particularly long day. The person at the front desk was incredible. She was so kind to myself, the other customers as well as her fellow staff members. I’ll return here for services because of how warm and welcoming she was 🤍

I booked a new client, same day appointment because I was having some intense back pain that required professional attention. I booked the 90 minute massage with Trey and I was thoroughly impressed with his level of professionalism, skills, and knowledge. He took time to listen to my primary concerns in the beginning and respected my request for a relaxation massage. He continued to follow up throughout my session on the amount of pain I was in, checking the pressure, and even walking me through some deep breathing exercises to help release the tension built up in my body while he was working through some of the knots. His knowledge of the spirit, mind, and body combined with his professional techniques was top notch! He even showed me a technique I could use at home to help my son with a surgery scar and muscle repair. I’ve already shared about this tucked away gem with several family and friends because I was so impressed. Definitely plan on implementing routine massages with Trey into my self care regimen moving forward.

I had the most incredible 90 minute deep tissue massage with Brooke. She really took the time to solve all the tension issues I was having and was able to answer all of my questions. I left feeling so much better. The overall experience was fantastic and relaxing. I will definitely be back!

Booked a massage and facial and both were amazing. The outside/strip mall is deceiving as the spa/services were top notch. The receptionist was welcoming and both masseuse Sulema and esthetician Dee were professional. Glad that I went and would recommend anyone to try them out!

I had my first ever facial with Tammy today and it was amazing. The atmosphere of the spa itself is so soothing and relaxing. We had a party of 4 and were greeted warmly, with fresh mimosas and snacks. Everything is elegant and luxurious. Tammy made sure I was comfortable with everything starting with the temperature of the room and the bedding to explaining everything that she was doing. The products she used were all natural and felt like silk on my skin.I expected only my face to be part of the process, but she applied the same techniques and products to my shoulders and upper chest. If I had a formal dance to go to, my skin would have glowed in my off the shoulder dress! She also gave me a hand massage with warm cocoa. Totally unexpected and my skin loved it.I couldn’t be happier with the end result. All of the products used were super gentle and smelled amazing. My skin is soft, supple, and well hydrated. I highly recommend this service and plan to go back to try the other services this amazing spa offers.

Dee gave me a wonderful facial! We did the hydro abrasion and my face is dewy and moisturized. I was worried that would be a lot of redness, but she was able to tailor it to me.

Today I received a massage. It has been probably 5 years since I got a massage and went to Austin Urban Retreat for a mother/daughter day. This was hands down, the best massage I have ever gotten. The whole environment was very relaxing and Josh was the most professional and nicest person. He did everything I asked and was very attentive to areas where I was experiencing pain or where he could tell I was tight. The hot towel on my back was probably my favorite part but the whole experience was exactly what I needed. Everyone that went today had a similar experience with their services as well. Very highly recommend.

This place is a hidden gem! Ive had a few treatments here and each time has been fantastic. Samantha gives an amazing facial and Richard gave one of the most relaxing massages Ive ever had! Highly recommend checking them out.

Danielle did my massage and she was amazing. She worked out my knots and helped me relax before a big week. I was offered wine in between my treatments which was a nice touch. Tammy was my aesthetician and her facial was amazing as well. They only use high-quality, natural products which is great for my sensitive skin. I suggest booking with Danielle/Tammy and signing up for texts so you can get great discounts. You should also consider buying one of the Éminence skincare products.

We had the best spa experience ever!The staff is friendly, knowledge and professional, performing A+++ services. Our spouses also loved every detail from beginning to end. The atmosphere and amenities were pure luxury.The owner Tammy is an absolute doll. This wasnt a good experience for me. The receptionist did not correctly book my appointment despite repeatedly clarifying the 2 procedures I wanted done. They said I would have to return in 3 hours or another day for their mistake. Also, they wouldnt take my $100 gift card bc they expire in a year (this is stated no where on the actual gift card). Aside from that the procedures done were not done well. Eyebrows are unevenly tinted and different sizes. I was hoping to save myself time with eyebrow tinting and a lash lift and one was done poorly while the other was never booked (they booked an lash tint instead- which I do not need).

Three friends traveled from Florida to Texas. Made appointments for Spa day and were told we would receive lunch and a $50 gift card we could use the day of treatment. Massage and facial were very nice and we choose $50 in products each and were happy and left the spa. Two hours later an Irate woman (spa owner) called and said we were never told there was a gift card and she was now charging it to our friends credit card. (Is this even legal?) She would not listen to what was being said and basically called her a Liar! She complained about paying $60 for our lunch. This woman needs to learn how to speak to clients and how to do business. Our spa day bill was $390 each plus an 18% tip. She didnt seem to complain about that. Do yourself a favor. Find a spa where YOU are treated with respect!

The massage itself from Sulema was great. However, its also true that my necklace broke during the message. The necklace was precious to me. While checking out.. I was told that I should have protected my jewelry and next time I should remove my necklace in advance. The necklace broke 15-20mins into the massage- if it was getting in the way.. request me politely to remove it. If nothing else, at least dont blame the customer later. Three stars for the great massage (even left a tip)- overall experience: unfortunate.

The best!!! My dear friend and I had the most amazing time here during our girls trip to Austin! We both had the best facial and massage we’ve ever experienced! We enjoyed the beautiful, clean and relaxing environment, the softest robes and blankets ever, discovered a new favorite beverage in between services, the poinsettia aka champagne with a splash of cranberry, and most importantly the kind and knowledgeable professionals who made us feel so wonderful and comfortable. Huge thanks to our Estheticians, Tammy & Cassandra and Massage Therapists Sulema & Patrice. We couldn’t have asked for more. We felt so relaxed after, and my skin still looks hydrated and glowing 2 days later. I can’t say enough good things; we will definitely be back!!

I had the best massage I have ever had in my life with Sulema Lopez. I needed my 3rd eye in tune and my chakras aligned and she did just that. I walked in feeling heavy and walked out like a pink cloud!! The girls at the front desk were the best as well in customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone!! Thanks guys! I had the best experience here today with Trey! He gave me insight into my muscles and the best ways to take care of my body with working at a desk everyday. He was amenable and receptive to my needs and concerns. I really felt like he was working toward my long term health as opposed to just getting me “fixed enough” to come back. When I called from Florida to book the package for me and 2 of my friends they had a special for $50 off off $200 gift cards I asked if I could purchase the gift cards and use on this package. They said not to worry that they would honor $50 off of our service upon arrival. My total package was more than $500. Front desk applied $50 off as I requested. 2 hours later the owner called me and said we had never discussed the $50 off. She proceeded to talk over me and complained that the lunch cost her $60. That she doesn’t do business this way , pretty much called me a liar and proceeded to charge my credit card an additional $150 for the 3 of us that received services. Our total bill was over $1500 that included a 18% tip. I would not recommend this place due to the fact that the owner doesn’t know what customer service is. I don’t care what The lunch cost her. She is the one who ordered it and had it listed in her package. Don’t advertise what you can’t deliver!!!

I went to Austin with a good girl friend for a girls weekend and this was the perfect escape for us. The massages were wonderful and the facials topped us off. We felt like we were floating on the way out! Highly recommend this beautiful spa!

Tammy is an absolute skin expert. I have received many facials over the years from high-end estheticians, LA to NYC, and Tammy completely blew them out of the water. I was so impressed by her knowledge and attention to detail; she showed a genuine interest in improving my skin. I came in with dull, lackluster skin and left looking like a glazed donut (in the best way). The entire experience felt so luxurious, I cannot recommend her or this salon enough!For reference-I received a customized facial with a peel, microdermabrasion, and a jelly mask to finish.

I was having one of those days and knew I just needed to relax and treat myself. It was last minute, so I didnt have a lot of confidence anyone would have availability, but when I came across Austin Urban Retreat on Google, I gave them a call anyway. They were able to get me in within half an hour for a massage and facial. The facility is beautiful and so well managed and designed. Then I went into my massage with Trey and cannot say enough good things about him. I felt so relaxed and comfortable the entire time. The perfect balance of quiet and conversation, plus he really helped ease some pain I have been experiencing in my hand. After being fully relaxed from my massage, I was given a robe and sandals to wear in the transition of going to my facial. They have a great couch area for while you wait. Shortly after, Breeana came to get me for my facial. She is so fun and we talked the entire time (which my extrovert self loved, but she also made sure to give me time to quietly relax when I wanted to)! Not only was in a fun experience, but she is so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and helped me walk away with a better understanding and offered some great products without making me feel like that was her only motivation (like some other companies). I did end up buying one of the products but because I really wanted it and I dont regret it one bit. All of this to say, Austin Urban Retreat is a dream and worth every single penny. Thank you guys for such a great experience, I will definitely be back!

I should admit upfront that my relationship with massage is strained. I always find myself overwhelmed with the relief of tension in my body both familiar and previously, drastically unaddressed. I also always hear how is it possible that youve been this tense? Get massage more often. I further have usually continued to ignore it. Its probably a safe bet that ill struggle to overcome that habit, but it wont be because Austin Urban Retreat neglected anything. To the contrary, we were greeted with a private space to wait together, my spouse and I. My massage therapist was spectacular, thorough and thoughtful. She addressed my specific concerns and kept from beating me up too badly over my condition. I find myself hesitating to go on in case they get too busy for what I hope will be a regular therapeutic. Theyve won me over.

Traveled from San Antonio Texas , Went there for Valentine’s Day … HORRIBLE service and massage , do not waste your money going there .. NOT WORTH IT.. I told the lady who did my massage 5 times that she was not applying enough pressure and she ignored me, also when she was massaging my neck area she pulled my hair .. so instead of releasing stress she added more stress and later on when I left I found a knot in my hair thanks to her ! also she took off my necklace and didn’t even return it::: Another thing .. when I spoke to the owner about how unhappy I was with the massage she took me to a private room and told me i would get a refund Then when I went to meet with my bf she came up to us with an attitude and instead she told us to leave ! she didn’t even let us finish doing our facials, she threw me and my boyfriend out .. when we were out at the entrance .. she was soo unprofessional pointing fingers and calling me trashy .. seriously I will NEVER return to this place again.. and if you are reading this please do not go there and waste your time & money .. you will leave very unhappy

I am a licensed massage therapist and esthetician. I went in yesterday for a massage and facial. Cheena was my massage therapist and she was amazing. I only book 90min massages because I get low back pain that requires hip and leg work to relieve the pain due to slight scoliosis in my lower back. I explain this to every Lmt I have worked with, but Cheena is the only one who has listened and gives me exactly what I need. Most Therapists spend more time on my back and very little on my hips and legs, thus not fully relieving my pain. Cheena most definitely has the magic touch. I cant wait to see her again. Karlee was my esthetician. I give her about 4 stars. I knew I needed extractions. She told me I didnt and skipped that part of my facial. She also cut my time a little short, which I imagine was due to the fact that no extractions were performed so she finished early. Her technique was good, but unfortunately, I had to come home and perform my own extractions. I also felt a little exfoliant on my face as I was leaving, but I understand that can happen sometimes.

This was my first full body massage and it was fantastic! Excellent service as they made me feel comfortable and exceeded my expectations!
