Was there on Friday night, I asked the bartender which beers they have and they responded with “what beers do you like?” instead of just letting me know what they have in stock. Also, most of the draft beers weren’t available because they said people said they didn’t taste right. Probably need to clean all the tube lines. Place was in good shape, had a live band, bathrooms were clean. Prices are super high but that’s all of Power Plant.
First time at PBR to see Jimmie Allen record release party. Nice place to see a show. Theme bar with honky tonk female staff that dance on bars. They have a mechanical bull. I didnt directly interact with staff, so I cant critique the service. Lot of energy and great people watching. I will go again for live music but not sure for just country party.
Awesome floor set up. The music is bumping. Theres a lot space to dance. The drink prices are cheap. My only issue is how slow the bartenders are.
This club is awesome country line dancing beautiful women the club dancers are incredibly beautiful as well and it gives you an opportunity to ride a bull like any good country bar would! Dont miss this place!
If I could give this place a 0 star I would. Quite frankly it lacks diversity and it’s very clear diversity isn’t welcomed. When my group of friends attempted to get in line for the infamous bull ride, the lady (blonde) who works here let the white customers physically cut the line. Why do I believe race is a factor in the way your treated here ..? Because all people of color were at the end of the line. The line lacks organization and all over order. The music also again favors a particular audience but that is for another review. The entire staff need a lesson on diversity. The staff that includes only white people. Overall not my vibe.
PBR in Baltimore certainly leaves a memorable impression, although perhaps not always for the reasons one might expect from a night out at a popular bar. The establishment, which aims to present an energetic and entertaining atmosphere, unfortunately seems to walk a fine line when it comes to staff-customer interactions, especially from some of the male staff members.Staff:It has been observed that certain members of the staff, focus their attention on personal endeavors rather than providing professional service. For example, in my observation a tall male with long blonde hair, was noted engaged in extensive in flirtatious behavior with female clientele, often with little regard for the ongoing patron interactions or the overall workflow of the establishment. While this may seem like an innocuous personal victory for the staff member when successful, it raises legitimate concerns about the operational priorities and employment standards enforced by the management.Such behavior not only deviates from the expected professional conduct but also calls into question the efficacy of the business model, where staff engagement seems to prioritize personal self profiting interactions over customer service and satisfaction. This approach could potentially accentuate a mismatch between the establishments client service objectives and the actual experience delivered, thereby affecting the establishments reputation and long-term success. On the positive side, most staff members are generally attentive and quick to respond to orders when they are not caught up in the establishment’s additional entertainment routines. Their ability to handle the bustling environment on the busiest of nights, managing high volumes of drink orders with a smile, is noteworthy.Impromptu staff dances:PBR has incorporated a staff-led dance routine into their entertainment offerings, which undeniably reflects an attempt to inject liveliness and distinctiveness into the customer experience. This inventive concept aligns with the bars effort to provide more than just a venue for drinks, aspiring to be a vibrant, memorable destination. The routine is designed to showcase the staffs talents and contribute to an energetic setting, projecting an image of festivity and fun. However, while the intentions behind this unique intervention are to enhance the atmosphere, it unintentionally disrupts the patron experience. During these routines, guests are required to vacate the dance floor, an interruption that can be quite jarring. This is particularly counterproductive at moments when the dance floor is full and guests are immersed in their celebrations. It abruptly halts the natural rhythm and progression of the evening, creating a fractured experience for guests who are otherwise engaged in their revelry.Such an interruption can be especially poignant during times typically characterized by peak engagement, such as when the mood on the dance floor is at its zenith. In these instances, the forced interruption due to staff performance has the potential to diffuse the collective energy of the room, leading to frustration among guests. It can dilute the seamless enjoyment of the nights festivities, momentarily displacing the patrons experience for the sake of entertainment that, while lively, pivots the focus away from the customers themselves.Furthermore, it distances patrons from their own participatory role in the environment they came to enjoy, instead relegating them to the role of spectator. This can be at odds with the expectations set by the typical bar or nightclub experience, where continuous, uninterrupted access to the dance floor is a given. In sum, while the staff dance routine at PBR is conceived with the best intentions to entertain and enliven the environment, it may inadvertently detract from the overall ambiance by disrupting the flow of the evening. It is a delicate balance for the establishment to maintain: cultivating a distinctive and engaging atmosphere while ensuring that its core offering — an uninterrupted space for patrons.
LOVE this place! If u like country music with a bit of old and new music from a few other genres this is a good place to be. About 75% of the music is country which goes great with the awesome mechanical bull, and sexy women and men employees in cowboy hats and chaps making this place a must have experience.
Love it there. Always great music and good vibes
Our black friend was falsely accused of inappropriately touching the white female manager. He was on his way back from the bathroom and grazed her trying to squeeze past a group of people to get back to us. She accused him of touching her butt and had all of us removed. We tried to get more details from her and he also tried to explain and apologize for the misunderstanding. She misused her authority to escalate things unnecessarily. I have contacted for further investigation because we and another security guard witnessed the event and none of the allegations were true.
The place was dead on a Friday night and now I know why. They did last call and less than 5 minutes later we were being told to leave. Somebody I was with was trying to pay his tab and they continued to yell in their annoying megaphone that they were closing. We proceeded to walk outside and basically got followed by the staff (unsure of one certain ladies name but she was awful, stating “the faster you get out of here, the sooner I get to go home.” I still had half my drink left considering last call was not too long ago. Outside we got followed again being forced down the stairs to leave. Literally followed and yelled at to get out. Terrible service. Google says they close at 2 so I’m not sure why we got rushed out at 1:15. More than likely won’t be back- place was a joke
How about you dont kick the only 4 people on the dance floor off the dance floor off so your staff can do the same line dance they have done 10 times that night?
Weird unknown rules make otherwise awesome staff get very aggressive and intrusive in such a confusing way. I really like this place and the people. I was having such a cool laid back time but feel so uncomfortable with how this confusing rule unfolded I dont think Im going to be able to come back. Im sure it doesnt matter to them but it is a bummer to see such a fun place and have this experience. Good luck figuring it out. Actually hope you dont and just enjoy your time. Great staff obviously doing their job as told.
I had a GREAT time here for a friends birthday, and they put on a pretty good show on the bull that you definitely need to watch! They play all kinds of music, not just country. Only complaint is they dont have many higher end liquor choices.
It was so much fun! The music was awesome and the dancers were great! The drinks were ok, but good enough. They have a mechanical bull that seemed like a lot of fun but I couldnt find the courage to ride it myself. However,it was hilarious to watch everyone else fall off. A fun Friday night with my bestie!
Great place to dance the night away
Thank you to the crew of PBR for a wonderful time it was the best...
My personal favorite in the surrounding states. Bartenders are cool and always on top of things. The dancing girls are all top notch absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Staff is always nice. The audio system is GREAT! The DJs alway seem to play just the right songs to keep everyone happy. I live in Harrisburg and drive to the Inner Harbor many times a year just to visit this place. Its never a bad time. Always has plenty of sexy people too! I wish I lived closer I would come here every weekend!
This is a shame - we came to your venue, danced for much of the night. After the first hour or two when it lost its country feel and became more of a nightclub, we were patient. The DJ interrupts unnecessarily. We tipped well, respected the staff and patrons... and near the end of the night I respectfully asked: “would you play some Lady Antebellum by chance?”. The DJ said no it’s last call (rude, but whatever I wasn’t shocked). But to prove he’s classless he had to then use his microphone to State: “don’t come request a song when it’s last call for alcohol.” Awesome! Thanks for being disrespectful to a person that patronized you all night. I bet that felt good. Give me the mic so I can comment on you next time ;) The management, bar staff, even bull staff were great. He’s rude, what a shame. No shock.
Didnt live up to the hype. It was very hot and the music was extremely loud. It needs a good cleaning top to bottom. The patrons didnt interact with the staff so they seemed disconnected-but thats not their fault.
Only about half the music sucks! Seriously though a base track doesnt make you a DJ... Music changes around 930-10 from country to pop. Watching the bull is good fun. Price of drinks heavily depends on the bar tender. If you want to act like a cowboy this is the place for ya!
Fun time , lively place , our crew for Edinburg Trucks stopped in at tow show and even rode the bull
Was on vacation for my bfs 30th birthday. He doesnt like country but I love it! Embedded up there both nights of our trip! Bartender was awesome and remembered us the second night. Music was great. The dancers are OK some better than others but the two men who run the bull put on an great show riding the bull! Will definitely go back!!
Very nice uniforms for their female employees. Always a sizable crowd but large enough bar you dont feel crowded. The mechanical bull rides are free so get on up!
I had a fantastic time, until I was told I had to stand back in a hour long line after walking a friend to his Uber. After spending over $200, not including what my buddy spent, I cant get back in. Even though the bar tenders were great, Ill never go back. I wouldnt recommend anyone going because of that. We easily cleared $400 between the 2 of us, and then get told I can go back in without standing back in line... Its 20 degrees outside, I waited in line already once, but you got my money so I mean nothing now I guess. Not a good way to treat your customers. Negative stars if I could.
Had a blast my friends all rode the bull. I would have given 5 stars. The waitress in the back near the bull was really rude. She act as if she didnt want to wait on us. She looked me in the face as I waited until she got to her last customer and ask for a drink she walk to the end of the bar and I walked away and didnt purchase anything.
As far as bars go this place is pretty spectacular. The staff are friendly and professional and the drinks are reasonably priced. The live music is good and the mechanical bull is a lot of fun. Definitely will be coming back here
They OPEN AGAIN, Went on Friday 5/21/21 for their first weekend back open and it was Awesome. Lots of fun lots of dancing. Need a mask to come in. Great time!
Its a fun people watching bar, especially the bull riding. Rotten service though. When I went last weekend they had an open bar deal from 9 to 12. I waited over 5 minutes for my last drink while the bartender noticed me and ignored me. Promptly at 12 she handed me a beer and I handed her a tip and walked away. Some goon came over and confronted me saying I needed to pay for it. When I argued about the obviously intentional delay just so I would have to pay, he took my beer. Im in my mid 30s so I guess Im not used to being treated like a jerk when I go out anymore. Thats what I get for going to an event at a place like that. Should have known better.
Not a bad night spot. A bit cliche for us, Attended with a friend. We grew up on farm in the REAL country, so it was fun to watch others try to be countryBasically turned the mechanical bull into a stripper pole. Kind of a joke of a place from that aspect
This place is okay. The music can be fun, but most of the good songs, at least on friday night, they line dance. Taking up the dance floor. So frustrating if thats not what you want to do
Had a blast on the floor, on the bull and in vip! drinks were awesome and the cowboys and cowgirls were HOT
The music was great the prices are amazing and the bull ride will have you limping! I came for the music and stood for the bull!Would recommend for all audiences.
I normally love this bar. I never get how the prices are alway different when you order the same thing. However this time I realized they charged more for everything then what the receipts say. So I guess if you go pay in cash.
This place is just about Always Poppin. PBR is one of if not the most entertaining venues for night life in Baltimore Citys Inner Harbor at Power Plant Live.Manger, Barry Daniels has this place on Lock down. It clearly shows he has developed a rock solid team. They always give you music to keep your twinkle toes high, bartenders that keep your glass full, dancers that are joy to watch and VIP treatment that is expensive but top notch!Even after all that if ya still want a challenge... see how long you last on the Bull. PBRs mech bull cant throw almost anything at you imaginable. You will also see the staff put on a spectacle to show off their Bull riding skills too. Careful you might get an invite to join them.... Think you can keep up!?
I sit here an hour after the show is supposed to start wondering whats going on????? Everything we heard about PBR was positive and I was so excited to see Kip Moore but wow. All the emails and literature said starts at 7.
The name is country. Most of the music is country-ish. But it is not a country bar that I am used to. Over the top commercialiazed crap. Just cause the chics that work there wear chaps, short shorts and line dance doesnt make it country. Knock off of coyote ugly. Bubble busted for what I was expecting.
Best bar in Baltimore! Great staff, best music, all-around good time! Been going ten years and hopefully will be going for ten more!
Had a great time out with friends. The drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was fun. Unfortunately there was broken glass all over the floor :(
Cool place for sure.. the whole outside is u can walk from bar to bar in that area. It feels safe there and a blast at night.
I purchased a drink for $7.00 was charged $8.40 so the rude bartender decided to give herself a tip!!! Its only $1.40 but its the principal of the matter!! Thats illegal. I have my receipt that shows the price but Im going to let it go but I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!
Kicks you out if if you don’t dance in lines. This place is dying and they act like they don’t know why🧐
Usually has good music playing - bar service is usually good and quick - cool place to celebrate/party.
Fun bar in Power Plant and affordable drinks!
I went to this place with my friend, we spent a very good time and enjoyed a lot. The best part was the services provided by the staff.
Love this place! They play a variety of music genres! Great crowd! Mechanical bull!
I had a really good time at this place they have a mechanical bull and its so much fun watching people fall off of that bull
Great crowd of young people , music got people dancing and drinks were strong. Hard to argue with that.
Not a bad place for a drink if you are in the area... decent atmosphere
Great place! Great music! Very friendly fun atmosphere!
Fun experience and great environment. Only complaint was that I got a terrible attitude from the bartender when I asked a question
Great atmosphere and view fun people good times and a bull...
Loved the visit from out of town. Staff is hot and talented!
Had a wonderful time could not ask for a better environment or music.
Drinks werent thw strongest but the bull was fun and its a mix of music.
Great drinks friendly people and bull riding! What more can you ask for?
Good Concert. Bad Coors light on tap. Barmaid made it up to me.
Its not your typical southern scene. But, it is a great time nonetheless
Fun place for live country music. Drinks are reasonably priced.
This place is awesome, Cant wait to come back here for another concert.
Great atmosphere. The mechanical bull ride is always funny to watch.
The line for the bull is always absurdly long, but otherwise its a fun spot.
Great atmosphere. Great people. So much fun.
