Absolutely amazing! Everyone was so sweet from start to finish ❤️I have long and thick hair that I was so afraid of getting cut. So much so, that I haven’t cut my hair in years. Reese gave me nice, long layers that frame my face beautifully. When I saw it finished for the first time, it’s so beautiful that I couldn’t believe it was actually my hair. It is perfect. She is now the only person I will let cut my hair 🤣 Do yourself a favor, and book an appointment with Reese, you’ll leave feeling as beautiful as I did 💓
Visited for the weekend with my mom to celebrate her birthday and Mother’s Day. We had a great experience and a great start to our weekend at Lordis! Absolutely loved our facials and blowouts! Completely obsessed with this place and my haircut! I was in town visiting a friend during Memorial Day weekend and desperately needed a haircut. I visited Lindsay at the king street location. She’s extremely talented and continuously kept me comfortable as she made each cut. I wish I lived here so that I could come back often! 10/10 if you’re new to chs or need a quick cut!!
My first visit to this salon was an amazing experience. It was beautiful, had a great vibe, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I got my hair done by Reese, who did a phenomenal job with my cut and color. She was such a fun stylist and really listened to what I wanted. Oh and the shampoo bowls and chairs are so comfortable that I swear I could have taken a nap. Let’s just say that I highly recommend checking this place out if you haven’t already!
Walked in super last minute for a hairstyle for a wedding this afternoon and despite their busy schedule with wedding hair styles all day, they took me in immediately! The staff is incredibly friendly and Alexis did such an amazing job on my hair! Michel at the front desk was extremely pleasant and the vibe in this salon is excellent!! Highly would recommend and would come back if/when I am in the area again!
I cannot say enough good things about everyone of my several experiences at Lordis Loft on King Street. My hair cut and one process color were superbly done and when it was time for foils, each one was colored to fit the placement on my head so that when my hair grew, the multi-tone color would remain. And with all this, it is a wonderfully relaxing experience, too. Conversation, if you are so inclined, or simply excellent advice, for specific needs. I was treated like a VIP by the master stylist and she made me feel like my hair was her only concern that day. All other services, including manicures (thank you for bringing them back after a long vacation), were going on around me for other satisfied customers. A feeling of calm pervaded the room; no one seemed hurried or stressed. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to take excellent care of themselves!

I came from out of town to get a perm from Linzie (I live in a small town with few salons). The perm came out looking fantastic. The salon asked if I could come in 30 minutes later than scheduled because they were running behind, and I also waited at the salon another 30 minutes after that, so appointment got started ~1hr later than expected. For a spiral perm on my dense chest-length hair, the total came to $275. There is also a $50/hr fee if the appointment goes over 1.5 hours, but this was waived in my case since we had gotten started late
10/10 I highly recommend this location.After 2 days of traveling to SC from FL.Mrs. Linzies team was extremely friendly and understanding that I was on a time crunch and needed to be seen prior to catching my flight. I had a horrible haircut prior to arriving & needed saving. Once at my appointment Mrs.Linzie listened to everything I had to say and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted. Then she took the time to explain everything she would do for both my haircut and perm. Down to every single cut, where the perm placements / sizes were going to be. She genuinely cared and I felt understood. I’m so thankful and genuinely so happy I got to experience this amazing location. Sitting in the chair for 4 hours while Mrs.Linzie worked her magic felt like time flew by. The atmosphere is pure serenity and it’s a gorgeous salon, the attention to detail couldn’t be more beautiful. Not to mention they also ensure you’re well hydrated the entire time. Whenever I’m back in Charleston, guaranteed you will see me back in her seat again. Thank you so much for bringing my confidence back.
Overall my experience could have not been more lovely! I have been trying to find a good aveda salon since moving here from Charlotte, NC. I called the salon to ask some general questions after looking at their site online and Michel was so helpful & also has a sprinkle of good sense of humor, which is always refreshing. He booked me with Emily who gave me a fresh cut & paid attention to detail! She was great, friendly, & I love my new hair. I will for sure be back! :)

Highly recommend! Just got a deep tissue massage this morning from Kelly and it was absolutely amazing. She really listened to what I wanted/needed done, and I feel much more relaxed going into the rest of my day.The front desk staff was super accommodating as well. I asked for a last minute blowout later this afternoon/evening and they offered me a spot even with theirs tight schedule. Can’t wait to go back in a few hours!

OBSESSED. Harmony worked wonders on my hair. I am so glad I found this salon.I stumbled into this salon after the stylist I had been going to elsewhere didn’t show up for my appointment.Michele and Harmony took great care of me and were able to fit me in the same day. It was my favorite haircut I’ve ever gotten.I happened to win a free haircut for my second visit, where I also got partial highlights done. I told Harmony I wanted strawberry blonde hair and she nailed it. Just look at the before and after!I’m so glad I found this salon. It’s so hard to find a reliable stylist and they are the real deal here. Highly recommend.Bonus, Harmony curled my hair and the curls stayed for 3 days. Usually curls fall out after an hour for me. I was in from out of town and wanted a new do! This salon came highly recommended from locals and our hotel. Linzie was patient, kind and extremely knowledgeable about all things hair. It was an exceptional experience and I highly recommend this salon to anyone needing a trim or a full transformation. I have been on an endless quest for 5 years in search of an expert stylist that can do great blonde highlights on my very dark hair. I FINALLY found her. Her name is Lintzi. Owner of Lordis Salon on King St. This lady is not only a bundle of talent but she understands hair coloring/styling like nobody else. The salon is a dream and Michel makes you feel so welcome. This is it. The holy grail of topnotch salons, no doubt about it!
AMAZING. Linzie was absolutely amazing , extremly knowledgeable, personable and overall absolutely lovely. Apologies I did not get the other stylists name but she was sweet and had dark almost. Black hair she was very comforting, a people person, and passionate about her job. Mechelle the gentleman owner I believe was super nice and very accommodating in getting me in since I didnt have an appointment he went that extra mile to get me in. I an so greatful for that and got to meet some great new people who are completely awesome ,down to earth and GENUINELY NICE NOT FAKE NICE. I would honestly give them a higher rating if I could. They were all very comfortable to be around like Ive known them for a long time and I love that. I WILL Definitely be going back to them. Now I have established my little mini crew there. I could literally say so much more but honestly you have to experience it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Linzie did a wonderful job color correcting my hair to look so natural. She was so patient with me to take the time to fully understand how I wanted my hair to look through a consultation prior. I knew Linzie would be my stylist choice from the first time I met her in her beautiful salon. Extremely personable and equally talented ~ she was pure joy to work with . . . I had made the rounds Downtown and not One other salon even came close. Extraordinary service and she has a very strong team as well. Chloe is an angel at the desk and love speaking with Michel for appts. The salon itself Breathes beauty and a relaxing spa experience. I loved my entire visit & it was delightful shopping in the salon as Linzie has it stocked w/ a Fab array of choices. Infinite stars, ha ✨ Additionally, I travel 2 - 3 x a month and have a special stylist in New York, Jersey City, Pittsburgh, and now Charleston. Excellent and extremely talented stylists who each own their own salons. Linzie trumps them All and I have never received so many compliments on my hair since I began with her in early February. I live nearly three hours away and was in town visiting my sister before leaving the next day for vacation in Riviera Maya, MX. I just got 22 inch DreamCatcher I tip extensions put in last week back at home (my hair is naturally blonde and shoulder length). I also have been getting my roots dyed and smudged dark brown for added dimension. To put it simply, my stylist at home didn’t properly color match my hair and didn’t layer or point cut my real hair to blend seamlessly with the extensions and it was a noticeable contrast. I’d even been back to my home salon two days ago to have my stylist add another pack of hair hoping it would help with the blending. She curled it immediately during the service and I didn’t realize it still looked obvious and no better than before until I washed it and it was straight. It was a hair emergency!!! I’d been to two other salons in West Ashley and called Lordis hoping for a miracle they could fit me in that day to help color correct and blend my hair with the extensions. To my extreme luck and by the grace of the universe, Linzie could squeeze me in at 1:30! Not only did she give me a great consultation first, but she also took before pictures and actually asked me look at the work she did before curling it-which told me she was confident in her work! I’ve spent $1300 on this hair and it would have been an insecurity nightmare to go on vacation trying to hide mismatched length and color. I’m so incredibly thankful for the professionalism, hospitality and expertise Linzie was able to give me so I can be comfortable and confident with something so impactful on my appearance! 3 hours is a long way to drive for hair but I may just have to come back so that I know I’m well taken care of and satisfied when I leave! ❤️
I booked a haircut design and style appointment online with Alexis. It was a quick and easy process. When I arrived they were warm and welcoming. I am so happy with the job Alexis did! My hair feels great and I am thrilled with how it looks.

She does such an amazing job and takes her time to ensure quality results. She is so talented.Due to a busy work schedule they also accommodated seeing me late in the evening and stayed extra hours to make sure I was happy with my hair result.100/10 stars.

The salon is located on King St. so it was located close to where we were staying and was easy to find and beautiful. Myself and my wife took a long weekend getaway to Charleston and like we do on all getaways, we look for a great spa treatment experience. Lordis Loft Salon & Spa was recommended to us by our hotel concierge, so we made arrangements for a couple massage and were VERY glad that we did. My massage therapist was Maureen and my wifes was Phillip. We have had massage treatment many many times and at many many resorts & hotels and this experience at Lordis was THE BEST! Excellent attention to detail, the many years of experience was made evident, we will be back!!

My first visit with Linzey at Lordis Loft cost me $500. I am a middle aged woman whose hair is just your normal hair for a person my age - shoulder length and a bit thin. Nothing special. I needed color with a few simple highlights and a cut. I had overheard a woman my age w similar hair saying she went to Linzey for color, a couple of highlights, and a cut and it cost her $170 - which sounded fair to me. So I made an appointment. When I first sat down in the chair, I told her what I normally have done at a salon, thinking she would do basically the same. Five hours and 2 parking tickets later, she was finally done. I had no idea what she had done, but my hair looked fine. When I went to pay, I was told it would be $500. I was shocked. I paid but left frustrated and bewildered. I just kept wondering what she could have possibly done to my hair that would have cost anything even close to $500. So I called to get a breakdown of my bill. When her husband broke it down for me, the one thing I caught and found quite surprising was the charge by the stylist per hour. Evidently, the customer is charged not only for the services provided but also a per hour price the stylist gets paid. I had never heard of any stylist charging by the hour. After expressing my concerns about the cost, I was told that from that point on, I would never be charged that much again. He said Linzey had to do certain things on the first visit that she wouldn’t have to do every time and that certain services would be altered each time, thus cutting down on the time in the chair and reducing the cost to about $250. The second time I went back, it cost me $250. The third time was over $300, and the 4th time was back up to $500. There was and will never be a fifth time. I quickly began noticing that the more she talked to me, the more her work slowed down, resulting in more time in the chair.So that was the end of my experience at Lordis Loft. Today, however, I found out that someone else had the exact same experience there as me. It was the roommate of my son’s girlfriend. She is a student at the MUSC Dental School. A student. Someone who is careful about expenses. This young woman had looked at the price list before deciding what she needed done to her hair. Based on the prices she was shown, she expected to pay $250 for the stylist’s services.. After sitting in the chair for 5 hours, the student had to leave to go to a class. She hadn’t even had her hair cut at that point in the visit. Without even getting her hair cut, this young woman was charged $500. She was as shocked as I had been and was told everything I had been told on my first visit - the per hour price charged by the stylist that s not included in the price list; the cost would never be that much again, etc etc etc. This young woman and I were very, very disappointed in our experiences at Lordis Loft. Our suggestion: be very sure to get a list of all changes before sitting down.
I just received the most GLORIOUS facial of my life. My aesthetician was Angee!!! I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated and my skin feels do amazing!!
My experience at Lordis Loft Salon was the absolute best out of any other salon I have ever visited. The staff was outstanding in listening to what I wanted to be done to my hair and then going above and beyond in giving me just what I asked for and more. When I was on the phone booking my appointment, Micheal, who I spoke to, couldnt have been more generous in giving me a deal I wouldnt be able to get anywhere else. For full foil highlights in my hair along with a tone and glaze, he offered me the incredibly low price of only 325$, which wouldnt move. I took the offer immediately, and he was able to schedule me very soon after for my appointment.When I arrived for my appointment, my hairdresser Sarah listened very carefully to what I wanted done and then explained to me what she would be doing with my hair. Sarah went above and beyond with my hair being very meticulous and making sure everything came out perfect, which it certainly did. In total, it took 9 hours to complete my hair, and I still only ended up paying 325$. If I had gone anywhere else, I wouldve ended up paying easily over 1,000$ for what I had done. My hair came out better than I ever expected, and I absolutely love it! I recommend Lordis Loft to everyone and will definitely be coming back in the future! I cannot thank the staff enough for their help in making my hair look and feel amazing again. I left feeling fantastic about myself and more confident than ever. At no other salon have I ever come across a more kind and professional staff that was willing to put that much time and effort into my hair for such a low price!

I got my hair done for the first time with Tara and I loved it so much! She was so sweet and we chatted the whole time. I was scared of getting my hair done in a new town since I had just moved here, but it looks amazing and I had a great experience. Color is perfect and just what I had asked for. 5 stars!! Loved it and Tara.Update: The stylist I liked doesn’t work there anymore :( but I tried the AVEDA salon in Mount Pleasant. Way cheaper and had a great experience. Would recommend there instead.

The salon was super clean and comfortable to be in. After my appointment, I noticed a few style/color changes I wanted to correct, and the owner Linzie, was super helpful and booked a free follow up on my schedule to help me achieve my vision. My wife needed her hair blown out right before NYE, so she found this place. Its on the 2nd floor above busy King Street, so she figured it must be pretty nice. Its a cute place. When she called, the guy told her the blowout was $90, and it seemed quite high but she went for it. When she got there the stylist doing her wash asked if she wanted a hair treatment (8 mins), which was included in the $90 blow out price but a simple blow out is $65. She said, well the person booking it didnt give her that option. But she was fine with it. Then when the completed style wasnt to her liking, dated, the stylist said I can flat iron the ends, maybe that will help. When she paid, they charged her an additional $22 for using the flat iron! The service was average at best, but beyond that, $110 to blow out someones hair is pretty outrageous, and she wasnt even happy and no one seemed to care. The girl who checked her out said her parents owned the place, go figure? One would think she would know better than to have a new customer leave unhappy. And its on the second floor,a secondary suite ABOVE King Street. Need I say more!?!

I’ve been getting my haircuts here with Linzie for a while now and have always been delighted by the results! Linzie is super sweet and does an amazing job. I called Lordis in absolute distress right before they closed because I had just gotten my hair done somewhere else and it was absolutely butchered. I looked like a mushroom.. not only did they squeeze me in they were so so kind about everything that happened and so willing to help. Tori was so professional and amazing, she walked me through how she was going to fix it, and made it beautiful (no more mushroom head). Thank you Tori!!! I truly appreciate everything they did for me, they made my haircut fabulous and didn’t even charge me for it. I am so so grateful for everything they did for me today, true lifesavers and I can’t wait to go back🤩

The owners of this place are amazing. Im a college student who made the mistake of trying to give myself curtain bangs. They took me as a walk in first thing in the morning. The owners husband was extremely nice to me and the owner fixed me up. She was very kind and accommodating even when i started crying in her chair. We need more people like the ones running this salon in this world. I can assure you that you will have a great experience here. Ill definitely be back when its time for my trim!
Wow what an amazing experience I had at Lordis Loft Salon in Charleston SC. I was treated as though I was a princess from the moment I walked into the salon. Linsie did my hair in an Updo for my wedding at the Gazebo in Battery Park. I received many compliments on my hair. Thank you Linsie for helping make my fairy tale wedding come true. If anyone is needing a hair appointment for a special occasion please dont hesitate to give them a call I promise you wont be disappointed. I will definitely return! Thank you again !! God. I booked with a stylist a few months ago, had a service and rebooked. About a month later I received a text from the stylist saying she had left Lordis and to let her know if I wanted to reschedule my exact appointment with her. She had every right to make sure my needs were met as a loyal client of hers. Time goes on and with no confirmation texts or emails I assumed since my stylist had left that my appointment had been cancelled. I get a call Saturday morning at 8 am asking me to confirm my appointment which was scheduled for 12. I was confused as the salon had never contacted me about switching me to different stylist or even letting me know the stylist I had an appointment with had left and to call to rebook. I get on the phone and they ask if Im coming and when I let them know I was supposed to be booked with a different stylist who had left the salon and I didnt know the person I was scheduled with they then said so youre not coming..? I was never asked to rebook or informed I was put with some random stylist. And I can guarantee when I check my bank statements at the end of the month they will have charged me the full appointment price and will say its their policy. How about we make it a policy to communicate with our clients and customers?!?? I know thats a crazy thought and wont happen since theyll just charge you and get their money regardless.
I moved to Charleston a little over a year and a half ago from NYC and knew I wanted an Aveda salon for my haircuts. Lordis Loft did not disappoint! Ive been getting my hair cut here every three weeks since then and have loved every single experience. My stylist Denise is superb! Highly recommend.
I had the pleasure of having Denise as my amazing hair dresser!! I absolutely love the way my hair came out she is outstanding at what she does to say the least, plus I’m going to my sisters wedding today and I barely had to explain what I needed and she definitely exceeded my expectations. thankyou Denise!! What can I say! I moved here about two years ago from NY and was challenged to find an experienced hair stylist that got me and my needs! I tried one and was just not feeling it. I needed to find an Aveda Salon and found Lordi’s. Great reviews were abundant and I called them! They hooked me up with Denise who is an awesome colorist and stylist. She GOT ME! She got me so much that I trusted her chopping my long locks for an updated and new look and I never looked back. Not only is she is an expert at her craft but a kind human! I highly recommend Denise!!!

I got a great cut with Jessica. She listened carefully to what I wanted, asked follow up questions to make sure we were on the same page, and did such a fabulous job! I also really enjoyed chatting with her, she is adorable! She took her time and styled my hair at the end. I recommend this spot!
I had an appointment this Monday for a face framing highlight and toning with routine trim. Prior to my appointment I had explained to the stylist I have very curly hair due to being biracial and I didn’t like the highlights to look uniform. Not only did she foil a pattern of chunky highlight into my hair, but she insisted to put a couple of foils in the back to blend it. I agreed. She took it upon herself to foil my whole head. 3.5 hours later she rinsed my hair and added the glaze. 3.5 hours after that my hair was cut, dried and finished. When I went to pay they tried to charge me over $775.. when I was told the foils, glaze; and trim would equate to $288. The owner then said they charge $50 if you go over the allotted time (under 2 hours??), and then insisted to charge me because they used more product because I have thick hair. I have gone to the most prestigious salons in the North East and have NEVER been charged per hour, or because they had to use an extra bowl of glaze due to my hair texture. Not only did the stylist not do what I asked with my highlights but the color is brassy and uneven. Complete waste of my day. Not to mention I asked for a trim and she cut over 4 inches of my hair off. I guess this salon preys on people with thick ethnic hair. Never in my life have I spent 7 hours in a salon for highlights and a trim. Disgusting; and a terrible way to run a business.
First visit to this lovely salon! I made a same day appt while on my visit to Charleston and was very happy with my visit. The salon is on King Street and was a convenient walk from my hotel. Michel was quite pleasant in reviewing details of appt, directions to salon, chatting with me while I waited for my appt. My stylist, Sarah, took great care in assessing my hair and my goals for a cut (I was scheduled for a cut prior to my trip, with my fav stylist in MD, but life got busy and I had to cx). Sarah did a fantastic job! I highly recommend this salon and Sarah!

I cannot say enough good things about this salon! I saw Linzie for the first time and she was AMAZING! Not only was she incredibly nice but took sooo much time with me to know exactly what I wanted and talk about what would look best on me. I usually get my hair highlighted and cut and sometimes a toner on it. She got the tone and color absolutely PERFECT for my skin tone!My husband has regularly complimented my hair since I got my hair done at Lordis Loft Salon and he has not noticed my hair in years!!! He just randomly keeps telling me how nice it looks! I am so grateful for such a fantastic experience and also grateful for a new salon to call home.

I just got my first haircut in Charleston, and I’m so glad I found the best place on my first try! Linzie was so helpful and amazing! I came in with a vague idea and a single picture, and she made sure I was included and informed at every step of the process. I felt in control and secure because she verified that I liked what was happening at every stage. The atmosphere was amazing and all of the stylists made me feel beautiful and cool and very much in my moment! By far my best hair experience!
I have been to a lot of different salons over the course of my hair journey, but this is absolutely the best salon in Charleston! I cannot recommend them enough. You walk in and feel as though you’re a part of their family and then leave with Pinterest worthy hair.
Absolutely fantastic experience here! I worked with Tara, and I can say confidently it was the best haircut Ive had in any recent memory. She was patient and helped me figure out what would look best with a new style I wanted to try. She was thorough and clearly cared about the details, the fading, etc. that most just skip over. Furthermore, the Salon was very clean, everyone was kind, and they had the amenities you dont get at Barber shops. Professionalism was clearly the name of the game here. It was an above-and-beyond experience at, frankly, a relatively standard price for a mens haircut around Charleston. Check. It. Out! - Very much a hidden gem right on lower King Street!

I have been visiting Lordis Loft and Linzie for about a year. Linzie always takes the time to find out exactly what I am looking for, discusses the cut and style and has taken me through three different looks, all of which worked extremely well for me. The sign of a great stylist is when people continually tell you how good your hair looks and what a great cut you have. This is definitely the case with Linzie at Lordis Loft. We have also become very friendly and I truly appreciate when. We engage in interesting and intelligent conversation and exchange opinions and ideas on a wide variety of subjects. It is probably one of my favorite hours I spend each month. I highly recommend both Linzie and Lordis, and also really enjoy the product line Aveda has to offer.

I tried this place out recently.. I have been to the Aveda salon in west ashley a few times but found it lacking in reception and simply a bit over priced for the services and location. Overall not bad but for Scottsdale prices my cut and color was just average and not that great an experience.I enjoyed this Aveda salon downtown much more and will def be back! 🥰

Very disorganized establishment and the haircut I received was horrible. I booked this appointment with ClassPass, where there was no indication that I needed to contact the salon directly during the scheduling process. When I arrived at the salon I checked in at the front of the salon prior to my scheduled appointment time. I then proceeded to sit in their waiting area for over 45 minutes past my appointment time. Mind you, the salon was very quiet and not busy during this time. A man approached me halfway through waiting and aggressively told me that he had emailed me to have me come at a different time. I checked my email and let him know that my email was hidden on ClassPass so from what it sounded like he had emailed somewhere that would not deliver to me. He kept insisting that he had emailed me and not listening to me. If we had needed to reschedule I would have been understanding, but his aggressive tone when their own listing on class pass did not indicate that I needed to call before booking the time, was very off putting. A woman, who had not been assisting anyone that I had seen for quite a while, finally walked up to me and said “oh I didn’t realize you were here for me. I thought you were getting a massage.” I had checked in at the front desk AND talked to the aggressive man, so this baffled me. It isn’t a large room and I had been there a long time. When I finally sat down in her chair I told her I wanted to take some weight off my hair for summer, specifically a trim and thin. I was 39 weeks pregnant and just wanted to treat myself. The end result was that she didn’t take any length off the bottom, but gave me a thick shelf of layers in a circle around the middle of my head. It looked like a bowl cut mixed with a mullet. I would not trust this salon to ever touch my hair again.
Wonderful Experience!!!!We asked Lordis Loft to do the bride and wedding partys hair and makeup for my daughters wedding November 2016 at the Loris Loft. They graciously opened the salon to all of us (17 people!!!), accommodated every bridesmaids wish for hair and makeup and made us all feel so special the afternoon of the wedding. The coordinator kept us all on time and helped make everyone feel welcome! Lacey did an amazing job with the my daughters hair (the bride) and makeup as well as mine! It was a very lovely day for all of us and we are so grateful that everyone at Lordis Loft made us look and feel very beautiful for this special day! I strongly recommend anyone plan their wedding event with them! Everyone at the Salon did a beautiful job of up-dos, makeup, and blow drys on all of us!
Lordis Loft Salon is more than just a place to get a hairstyle. It’s such an incredible experience. It’s like going to Halls over Outback for a steak. You arent rushed through your appointment as they block the appropriate amount of time for your visit. They also have a photographer on staff. Linzie is one of the most professional stylists I’ve ever experienced! I scheduled an appointment for special occasion hair and makeup for my son’s wedding. She asked great questions about what I wanted and provided her own suggestions, too. My hair is short but she was able to create an updo that held perfectly!! As for the makeup application, it was beautiful and I might now be an Aveda fan. Linzie created a perfectly flawless finish on my “mature” skin.Linzie’s talent is matched by her kindness. A previous salon who confirmed my appointment cancelled on me a month before the wedding.Lynzie and Michele open their salon on a Sunday for me. So I could get my hair and makeup done before the wedding. They are a lovely Christian couple who also made me feel beautiful! I rushed in at 6pm on a Friday panicking because the salon Id made an appointment with a half hour earlier lost power and canceled all their appointments. Linzie was an absolute angel. She sat me down right away and gave me a hair wash, conditioning treatment, and blow out. I have very thick, textured, frizzy hair, and the next morning I was celebrating my two year anniversary. They completely saved me from looking bad in my photos. It doesnt sound like a big deal, but it was important to me! I will absolutely be going back. My hair looks and feels wonderful, the price was reasonable, and they were so accommodating and friendly.
This was my first time getting my hair colored. Kayla was amazing. She took the time to really figure out what was best, listened to my concerns, calmed my nerves and blended the perfect blend of color, attempting to match my natural red to the best of her ability. It looks beautiful, natural, fresh and vibrant. I am very happy with the result and have received so many compliments from friends and family. I can’t say enough about Lordis Lof & Spa. I drove in town with an injury that causing so much pain, they were able to fit me in for a massage within a couple of hours. I had the most amazing massage therapist with 38 years of experience. When I left my pain was almost completely gone and everyone I dealt with was so kind and helpful!
Denise has done my hair for years. She is amazing! She is so fun, patient, thoughtful and kind. She doesn’t just whip through a haircut. She takes the time to make sure it’s exactly what you want so you leave in love with your hair. I completely trust her! She is an absolute professional and takes care of you. Absolutely perfect!! I went here for a manicure/pedicure and it was by far the best service I have ever received! Stephanie is so good at what she does and really works to not only give you top quality service but to get to know you and what your nails and skin need to be restored to their true underlying beauty. My nails and surrounding skin have never felt healthier! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the polish selection was top notch. The atmosphere in the salon itself was tranquil and just what I needed to relax. I will definitely be back for the different spa services Stephanie mentioned during my visit (like massages and facials) and already booked my next nail appointment with her. I highly recommend scheduling a nail appointment with Stephanie! Her work is truly amazing.
I’m giving a three only because when I called and set up a last minute booking, my fault I have a busy life, I had asked the person who booked my appointment how much I was to expect for my services. I was comfortable with the amount. I went in for my appointment and got my services completed. So I was checking out expecting the amount the guy told me a little more bc I know they factor in other things, my amount checking out was an extra 200$. I was not prepared for that amount of money to be paid for my hair. Now, the girl that did my hair did a fantastic job!!!!! I just feel like if someone is asking how much services are before booking and you somehow add on an extra 200$ at check out that’s very sleazy.
I usually dont like to write harsh negative reviews, however, it has been a few months since my hair appointment with Lordis and I still feel very strongly about my experience there. I live in Charleston and know King street to be a nice area, so you would think a hair salon on King would be top notch. I was wrong. The pricing was, but the performance was very amateur. I went in to get my hair dyed blonde and cut. The price ended up being over $500. I was prepared to spend a lot of money due to it being a lot to do but that is absurd for the result I got. Additionally, I asked for the itemized receipt multiple times which they never provided to me. I am in my early 20s and definitely felt as if I was getting taken advantage of. I have gone Bruinette to blonde several times so I am familiar with the process. However, my hair dresser seemed very unprofessional. She continuously asked the other hair dressers around her on what to do, not sure of formulas, etc. I ended up coming out with ashy, orange, and overall remarkably unappealing hair. I had numerous friends making comments on the unevenness of layers and lackluster color. It was so bad I eventually had to return to the salon to demand they fix it which I have never had to do in my years of going to hair salons. I just dont think a place with such inexperienced or maybe just unskilled hairdressers should be in such a prominent part of town. Dont waste your money. I have since started going to coven, and have had way better of experience if you are looking for a place.

After a couple days of walking, I went to Lordis Loft for a massage with Callie Pearl and was so appreciative of her approach. Callie is an intuitive therapist and was able to figure out where I needed more work and where I needed a lighter touch. She could tell it had been a while since my last massage and made me promise to get another when I returned to my hometown! While not a spa like a hotel spa with steam room or pool, the room is quiet and pretty and very comfortable. I definitely recommend Callie for a massage, especially if youre not used to walking all over town!
I should have looked at the reviews before I came here, seeing that all the replies are so ignorant and not quality customer service. First off, the guy who answers the phone and is at the front desk is so creepy and wants to put all these policies in your face, aka just to rip you off if you believe the price is too high or you need to cancel. I came in to do a full head of highlights to go blonder and. I ended up paying TWICE the amount of money id pay if I went to an actual hair salon in Beverly Hills. I hope their other location has better employees because not only that I spent this much but my hair turned literal orange I had to go get it fixed I had no idea what to do. WORST experience ever. This was a big learning lesson for me to read the reviews before I go somewhere new.

I made an appointment while I was on vacation in Charleston, and it was superb! They were busy with a wedding party but fit me in and were on time. Michele greeted me by asking if I wanted anything to drink before my massage and made me a cup of hot tea before I left. The person giving the massage was awesome—and I’ve done numerous massages. Would definitely go back. Had an excellent experience and would highly recommend them.
I had the most AMAZING massage with Callie! From start to finish this salon is amazing. The ease of which I was able to book with their fabulous appointment booker, Michelle, to the ladies at the desk. Such a top notch experience. Callie is a fabulous masseuse. *Update:Because this experience was horrendous and I had already given grace/continued to try to by leaving constructive feedback and still giving three stars, the owners response is more than telling. Looking up my job via social media was a reach, but yes, because I have been in hospitality and have made strides in this industry, I do understand the difficulty levels, etc. booking appointments, answering calls, essentially coordinating, is not difficult but it is crucial to have someone who embodies care and overall joy. From other reviews, others have had the same experience… it’s a shame, too, because the facility is gorgeous. Unprofessional and degrading at best.My first visit with Jen was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly personable and made the time fly by when I was in her chair. The end results were excellent as she revived my blonde after months of not visiting a salon due to COVID.The salon itself is very clean, trendy, and I had a nice view of King Street.Fast forward and I book my second appointment for the King Street location. I use the online appointment system - received a call from Michelle(sp?) morning of the appointment. I gave a call back to confirm the appointment and am told, “Yes, we will see you at 2pm.” I then reiterated that I received a call and would like to have my appointment actually reviewed to make sure all was well. I was then told that the online system allowed for an overbooking during that same time and was offered to reschedule or switch service providers. (Voicemail to confirm) I confirmed I was unavailable for the remainder of the day and was only interested in being serviced by Jen. I had to reiterate four times that I would like to be refunded and would book Jen when we were both available again. Michelle asked me multiple questions such as, “Have you had a bad previous experience with other stylists?” And, “No, no, no, we need to speak about this” when I asked for a refund until I could schedule again. Next, I was heavily persuaded to use another stylist by saying, “Well, that’s just a shame because ‘name of another stylist’ is great and you should give her a chance.’ I finally told her to process the refund and asked how many times is needed for me to say I had a great time with Jen and only would like her to perform the service. I understand wanting to keep business, however, the tone that was used and the additional, pointed questions felt aggressive and off putting. I thought about giving my feedback to the owner but let it go as it only happened once - perhaps a bad day?Booked an appointment for today and woke up to another voicemail from Michelle. The voicemail actually says, “Pleasure to speak with you again. I thought we went over this last time but again, Jen no longer works for our company. The owner is willing to do it for you.”1. If a stylist no longer works for your company, please tell customers.2. During the first cancellation, no, I was not told that Jen was no longer at their location. I would have not booked again - why was I given an option to reschedule over the phone last time? (Two days ago) Was Michelle going to place me with someone else without my knowledge?3. Please be more courteous and transparent. Integrity goes a long way. I would have tried another stylist if I had originally known Jen would not be an option there whatsoever. Instead, I will try another at Canvas as I do not feel comfortable going back to Lordis after being talked down to twice now by the same representative.4. Update the website/booking option so that stylists do not show up who no longer work for you.I wish this company the best - it is beautiful.*Note: I do not leave negative reviews. If you go to this salon and continue to have great experiences, I am envious.
I have been having my hair foiled, cut, and styled by Lindsay for three years. I receive many compliments on my cuts and my hair color. Each experience has been positive. The atmosphere from the time you enter is professional. The concierge /hostess immediately acknowledges clients arrival with a smile. They have always let me know if my appointment is on time, or at times, may be running a little late giving me the estimated time… Never more than 10 minutes, which is quite common at Salon’s because they want to achieve the outcome that is satisfying to each customer. I feel that Lordis Loft is comparable to Aveda salons throughout the country, (I was an executive for Macys and traveled throughout the US) and prices have always been within a few dollars. Plus I try to remember how great I will look when it’s finished! I have always enjoyed my time spent with Linzie finding her very knowledgeable in her profession and very patient. I have experienced her patience when I am undecided as to what I would like done to my hair. I have had a time a time or two when I have done my own hair afterwards and found that I needed a small adjustment. Linzie has made this willingly with no additional cost. With Covid regulations a few of the extra benny’s have had to be eliminated. But has been filled with the kindness of their hospitality, the laughter and great conversation that has been needed for many of us during this difficult time.

I am so impressed! I have been getting my hair done since I was in middle school. I’ve had my hair colored a hundred times and I unfortunately ALWAYS find something to complain about due to the stylist not listening to what I wanted or it not turning out at all how I pictured. Therefore, because of my past and mixed reviews, I was very nervous walking in to my appointment where I planned to take my light/medium brown hair to blonde. I worked with Tara explaining to her what I wanted. My mind is blown!! I have, for the first time ever, no negative comment about the turnout of my hair. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Fantastic from the start.! Highly recommend:) Michelle (I hope I spelled it right) is very friendly, I was hesitant to speak to any more front desk workers because of so many other places were really short with me, but he’s so nice, which made it very easy to talk to him. Lindsay did my hair for 7 hours and some change.! She’s wonderful and made the whole 7 hours entertaining. She walked me step by step on what she’s doing, and never got frustrated or impatient with me the whole time doing my hair.
My husband and I both had the most amazing massages from Callie. We were so lucky to have got last minute appointments and I’m so happy we did because it was the best massage I’ve ever had. I have the worst shoulders and she knew exactly how to work the knots out. If I lived in Charleston I would go see Callie every week!
Tori did my hair and make up for a wedding and she was such a pro!! So happy with my makeup and up do! She is the BEST!!!
This is BY FAR the best experience (both outcome and customer service) that Ive had with hair color and cut. I found the salon to repair a terrible box color that I applied during COVID. I had my hair corrected naturally (no chemicals) and have been back a few times since. I cannot say enough about owner care for their customers and how much time and effort goes in. They will go to great lengths to ensure that you are treated like the most important person theyve seen all day and will take as much time as needed to be sure you leave not only with exactly what you wanted, but also with healthy hair and a care regimen moving forward.

All the hair dressers do a great on my hair! I have been going there 7 years! I would never go to any other salon! They always get them to do my makeup for parties! I buy all my products there also! Their shampoo is better than the one my doctor told to use for scalp! It is the best place to go in Charleston!

Great place, admittedly a little pricey if you’re getting multiple services but also everything in Charleston is a little pricey! I’d say it was worth it though!

Dana is magic. Well worth the drive downtown! I love the head massage she starts with (shes an awesome massage therapist, too!)...it puts you in a trance. The whole experience is so relaxing and the cut is always spot on. I have good hair days for a week after I see her. Shes also great about recommending products and explaining them without being a pushy salesman. I absolutely recommend her!

I would absolutely recommend Lordis Loft. Jessica cut and styled my hair and it was hands down the best hair cut Ive ever received. She listened so well to what I was looking for, checked in to make sure throughout the cut that I was okay with the length, and advised me on a much better product routine for my hair. Im looking forward to returning!

Ive been going to Lordis loft for 11 yrs getting my hair done by LINDSEY the Owner I love her wont go to any other place to get my hair done. The team she has are very welcoming and professional and very reasonable priced too
I visited Lordis today for the first and last time with my two daughters. We have always used Aveda salons, this was not our first experience just our first time at this salon. We got there at 10:30 AM and did not leave until 5 PM. The girls that did our hair were very nice and pleasant. When we were checking out and they told us that my daughter’s hair cost her $585 after the suggested 20% tip, I can say that we were nothing less than shocked! My hair cost $444. This was just for a single color full head foil and haircut. This was just a normal salon with nothing extra and nothing fancy. Again we have been to Aveda salons throughout the country and have never paid these outrageous prices. Quotes were not given prior to service and we were completely caught off guard! We were given coffee when we first arrived and sat for a very long time waiting for our services. One of my daughters was not offered anything to drink until after her services were complete. When my daughter finished she had bleach all down the back of her dress which they did reimburse us for before we left.I would not recommend this salon as the prices did not fit the service. Other Aveda salons we’ve been to the tip was already included with the price and we were always given hand massages as well as temple massages before shampooing.With the length of time this took and the price that we paid we could’ve gotten this done at any salon paying half the price. This was truly a very disappointing day and completely unnecessary money spent. We have all had better cuts and colors at other salons in the past and paid so much less. I could have had the same if not better service at any other spa/salon. Don’t waste your hard earned money.
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I came in about 6 weeks ago and got a Botanical Skin Resurfacing for Radiant Skin...BEST THING EVER!!! Linzie was AMAZING!! She recommended some Aveda products which I am so glad I bought; my skin is so beautiful now!I had such a great experience I scheduled a Deep tissue massage for a few days later! I forget who my masseur, but SHE WAS AMAZING was! Best massage I have ever received.Most spas down town are a rip off and not worth the $$$$ you spend. Lordis is very reasonable priced and the service is absolutely amazing!! I will never go anywhere else when I am back in Charleston!

The staff here is extremely professional and accommodating to your schedule and any hair needs. I got my hair dyed and extensions with them and being a runner accidentally yanked one of the extensions and they were incredible of getting me back in- free of cost - to get it fixed! Am extremely thankful to have found this spot and will only be going to them in the future!
Two girlfriends and I were visiting Charleston and looking for a place to get the works done - massage, facials, mani/pedis, blowouts, all of it - and we looked for some place reasonably priced. Lordis was centrally located, priced below most other spas we checked, and offered the services we wanted, so we booked it.They treated us so well! They were very accommodating with the schedule, working it all out so we didnt have to wait too long between treatments, and the spa area is well separated from the salon, so there was no bleed-through of noise or aroma.The spa rooms were warm but not too warm, the music was calming, the massage was transcendent, the firming facial was very soothing and still has my face looking firmer days later, my nails still look great, and Im trying to figure out a way to get back to Charleston to do it all over again!Jaclyn, Alana, Alexis, the wonderful woman who did the facials but I didnt catch her name, the lovely lady behind the counter, they were all just terrific, and so sweet and attentive. I cant recommend them all highly enough!
Went in for an impromptu manicure and foot massage for my boyfriend. Stephanie took us right away and was great, fun to talk to and she had a lot of helpful tips on keeping my nails healthy! The space is wonderful, really pretty and calming decor. Definitely worth a trip!
I love Aveda. This was my first time at this location and I will be coming back! I had Tara she was so nice and professional! She did my balayage/highlights and did an amazing cut. We cut a lot of length with some long layers in the front. So nice having some time to relax and have a coffee!

After a thoroughly delightful consultation over the phone with Michel, I was able to get in to see Linzie unexpectedly quickly. I had had a grand time with fashion coloring my strawberry blonde hair during Corona Craziness, but was more than ready to return to some semblance of my real hair. Linzie knocked it out of the galaxy by doing 2 single processes and a glaze on my hair. She took every moment necessary to ensure that I was happy every step of the process. We decided to go darker than my original color and it personifies the perfect Fall shade. Cannot wait to go back! 😍

I am new to the area and booked online with this salon. The night before my appointment I started feeling sick, so to be sure I took a home test, which was positive for COVID-19. I called the salon the next morning and asked to reschedule because of the positive test result. The receptionist, Michele, immediately had a rude tone and questioned me about whether I was actually sick with COVID. They sarcastically remarked, “how do you know you are what you are? Have you spoken to a doctor?” I told them I took a test and then sent them an email with the photo below. I called back to make sure they got the email, and the receptionist said “that is a negative test, it has one line, and two lines is considered positive.” The test clearly has two lines (the control line is faint, but it’s the SAMPLE line that matters), and when I tried to get them to look at the photo again, they responded again with sarcasm “okay, so you’re right and everyone else is wrong!” I was told that I would still be charged the $65 fee for cancelling within 48 hours, and that their salon required a PCR test result for cancellations. I asked to speak to the manager, but was informed that this rude person I was speaking with was the manager. I asked to speak with the owner of the salon, and I was told they are too busy. I left my number with the receptionist in hopes that someone will call me back. My only intent was to keep other people from getting sick, the Lordis policy (or the way that their receptionist portrays it) is a deterrent for people doing the right thing and staying home when sick.
I love Aveda and I was so excited to find an Aveda salon in Charleston, SC. Alana was the stylist that cut my hair and died it and we spent 3-4 hours doing the style of my liking. She made me feel comfortable and discussed openly about my life and my marriage with my husband there next to me to only find out that Alana the stylist doing my hair for 3-4 hours, asking about how long I’ve been with my husband, how our relationship was? And all about my career, actually knew my husband and had a sexual relationship with him while we were married in the past. This was also my husbands fault (which I’ve dismissed) but the fact that I thought I could trust someone with my hair and my life stories at that moment was incredibly unprofessional, ridiculous, and honestly DISAPPOINTING! As for this review, I will never go back to this salon and as a recommendation I would NEVER book an appointment with Alana. God knows I will never again. It was either this review or me booking an appointment face to face with her... I chose the review. Any real women with a husband would understand this post and if not maybe one day you will.

Conastee did a house call for a spray tan for me and was amazing. She was so friendly and professional and walked me through the whole service seeing as it was my first time getting a spray tan. After this experience it definitely won’t be my last. The tan looks amazing, isn’t streaky, and didn’t break my face out at all, despite having acne prone skin.
I went here for a massage while on vacation in Charleston. Callie was absolutely amazing! She takes her time and actually focuses on what exactly your particular body needs. Would strongly recommend stopping in here if you have the time! (Michelle at the front desk was amazing as well)
Sarah Widener is a magician and as long as I live in Charleston Ill be one of her most devoted clients.The receptionist offered me a delicious cup of hot tea while I waited. The salon is clean, nicely decorated and calming.As a sidenote: I had a terrible experience earlier this year that cost lots of time and money ($230+, 6 hours, all over blonde as opposed to a nice sun kissed balayage, and hair that looked like a 5-year old cut it with safety scissors) and left me hating my hair and not wanting to look at my reflection. Seriously, I wore my hair up for over a month, even at home with my husband.I have long, wavy hair and Sarah did an amazing job of blending the layers Id been given into a haircut that I no longer hated and in fact LOVED!!!Shes amazing and I am sending my husband to her, my mother when she comes to visit and I am debating going shorter just to have her cut my hair again. I truly cant say enough good things about her. 💖**I totally recognize that in the grand scheme of things not liking my hair is a supremely insignificant problem to have and it still sucked.

I couldnt say more positive things about this salon and the owner, Linzie. I have been searching for YEARS to finally find the person who could achieve the super natural, not overly bleached and super chunky blonde highlight look I have always desired. Linzie takes the time to look over multiple pictures with you, she talks you through every step of the process, and she is a master with color. She takes detailed notes about the processes she does with your hair and takes the time to prepare herself to talk to you before you even come in to familiarize herself with you and see if you want to stick with what you have or make any sort of changes. I recently got a haircut with her and was debating to put in long layers. When I finally decided to keep it all one length, she so sweetly told me that if I changed my mind in the next week, just to pop in and she would be happy to put them in for me. This salon goes above and beyond to make sure you are 100% happy with your services and to top it all off, this is BY FAR the most reasonably priced Aveda salon I have EVER been to! I appreciate her attention to detail and the way she makes you feel like a top client and will be going to Linzie at Lordis Loft until Im in the grave! haha
We ordered make up over the phone and thought it was gonna be very difficult just because it usually is, at any store but here it was amazing. It felt very nice to have somebody who understood us, and was very welcoming.
There’s no other place I’d rather go for my hair and beauty needs. The staff is extraordinary, they do fabulous work, and over all the environment is pleasant and professional. Highly recommend.

I have been going to Lordis for over 3 years. First time i had to come in i was wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses to hide the tears- i had to see Mrs.Dana - she was highly recommended by a friend as The Best Hair Colorist in Charleston!.... my friend is from the upper crust wealthy old Chas family- usually flies to NYC for cuts and color, however, when in Chas - Mrs.Dana is the only one she trusts her hair to...Long story short- Mrs.Dana Saved My Hair!!!!She Repaired the damage done by the Owner of another Chas Salon which will remain unnamed and i was a Convert!....Over the years i only see Mrs.Dana and i am Constantly getting compliments on my hair! People just ask if those are Highlights or a Naturally Sun Kissed Hair?... She truly is the best....Mrs.Dana always does such a good job on my cut and color!She listens to what I want and delivers!!! She is Super caring and very knowledgeable about the whole Aveda line... and she is a Color Goddess in my book...Mrs.Dana has also became a Licensed Massage Therapist - yey!!!!Her massages are Truly Amazing! She really has a Magic Touch that just knows what your body needs- simply Brilliant!!I have had some very exclusive massages in various SPAs around the world- hers are on par with the best of them.It is All About Touch!....I agree with the other reviewer- she does have magic hands!I cant believe someone would say anything mean about Mrs.Dana- she is such a Sweetheart and A Gem of a Person!!!!I would be forced to fly to see her if she d ever moves from Charleston! My wife .. prices are outrageous great people but .. they charge 50 dollars for blow dry when hair is done .. and take no for an answer.. you pay fry can’t leave wet .. I get it but 50 dollars is way to much to get dry .. but great people my wife said .. loves the people there loved

I do not recommend this salon to anyone. not only do they up charge for everything they do. but if you do not confirm or show up for an appointment they charge you a full amount. i got tapped for 300 dollars when nowhere on the confirmation email does it tell you they do this. only place it says it is in tiny letters at the bottom of their website. just wanted to help out others so it doesnt happen to you too.
I was in Charleston for a vacation and I called and they were able to squeeze me in quickly the same day with Sarah. She was super sweet, efficient, and did a great job!
I went in for a blonde balayage and ended up not loving it, no fault of Linzie. It just wasnt me, so when I went back the next day asking to have it fixed, she and Michelle went out of their way to fit me in the schedule. I asked for a medium copper to cover up the blonde. It turned out so beautiful! I couldnt be happier!
Jessica Ford, I cannot thank you enough for your professionalism, talent, and patience. After 20 years of going to the same stylist in Boston, whom sold his salon to pursue his other life passion in art, I ventured out in hopes of finding a stylist that can take my long, thick, and graying hair and turn it into a natural blonde that reflects my age and is suitable for both my professional life (an executive in the energy industry) and live aboard life on our sailboat. Little did I know just how trying that pursuit would be and result in clown colors ranging from some twist of bright-blonde (like a dandelion), some sort of gray that Millennials seem to like, to copper, to ... oh a lot.Look - its a good first world problem, I know. Yet, our hair is the outfit we wear everyday. It reflects a bit of who we are and how we present ourselves to the world. Let me tell you, its been a long 1.5 yrs striving to present myself to the world with corrective shades of weird blonde to warmer-ish browns that, in the sun, turn copper. At best, it has been humorous (trying not to take myself too seriously) and some days down right depressing.After you took the time to listen to my tale-of-woe, think through what look I was striving to achieve, and bringing forward your artistry and talent while maintaining an interesting conversation on a range of topics, I can honestly say that you nailed it. I am utterly grateful. Thank you.See you in 6 weeks.
