Pro Shop Pub

My wife and I came to this bar from a different bar to do karaoke. We felt welcome. Corey is a great guy. We don’t smoke but I felt like people were respectful of that and gave us some space when they lit up.

This place is amazing. Bartenders are lovely, accepting, and great. So are the regulars. Good people, good place. No food, but smoking/vaping is permitted. Its an actual bar, and a good one.

The bar well it’s a bar, but they allow trashy drag queens like Rockell Blu to perform. Absolutely no talent.

Just an old, quiet gay bar. Has a pool table. Comes with some older guys that want to watch but not play. No frills bar, but a good spot to grab a drink and meet up with someone, if you dont wanna drive all the way to Tampa or St. Pete.

It was like hanging at a gay cheers. The drinks were just right and you can smoke inside. I was provided a special ashtray for my cigar. The bartender was very attentive and played some cool retro tunes. Ill definitely be back!

Visiting Clearwater from out of town. Had the SWEETEST BARTENDER EVER. Came in around 11:00 pm and not packed at all. Friendly service.

Nice little gay dive bar. Not gay, but I was cool with the place. Reasonable prices, didnt try the food ... BUT ... they allow smoking inside, so I wouldnt eat there, and probably wont visit it much just for that.

Great bar, will definitely come back to it again when Im back in town!It is a cash only bar and they do have an atm.

Stopped here after leaving Clearwater Beach and it was soooooooo smokey inside we turned around and left! In their defense they do have a sign on the door warning you that smoking is allowed inside this establishment but it was really bad inside.

They dont sell foodFull Liquor Bar Beer and wine this place has been around for 45 years or so

Have been a lover if the Pro Shop Since 2001 ! This place will always be my favorite even tho I dont go out like I once did, came and nothings changed its still the Pro Shop !!!

Just a run-down, friendly gay bar that is extremely fun!!!

My husband and I have been a few times, old dive bar vibe, which we love, filled with friendly staff and fun counter games and a pool table. We took both of our mothers on one of our trips there and they even had a blast. Love the history behind as well.

Nice hole in the wall bar. Pro tip; come when Paul is working, hes a nice scruffy guy and easy on the eyes. Only con here is they allow smoking inside the bar but its not that bad.

It is awful place. Smoking is allowed, they take cash only. I withdrawal money in their ATM. It was 20 dollars minimum. Fee was $3.25. I gave to the bartender $20 and got back just $6. Price for one bottle of beer was $3.50. Crazy place.

Went there for the first time today and was shocked to find out they allow smoking inside. The bar smelled like a dirty ashtray. We couldnt leave fast enough. Dont want that smell all over my clothes and skin.

Chill spot. Not weird or anything crazy like some “gay bar” spots in the area can be. More a dive than anything. Still pretty clean despite smoking being allowed inside, not extravagant but the prices reflect that - cash only

Thr bartender roofied a very close friend of mine. She was all alone after work and id i hadnt been there to pick her up everything could have been so different.The group of men that was there was friends with the bartender and claimed to live with him.Please dont go here for your safety.The place is dark and gloomy and the staff obviously is unstable.

I would give this place a 0 of I could. We went on St.Patricks day and it was less than ideal. We went thinking it would be fun and it was not. The only good thing there. The bathrooms were disgusting but the worst part was the fact they let homeless people hang out in there. As a crowd we felt extremely uncomfortable because the homeless people were watching us, asking for spare change, and just made us feel unwelcomed. At no point did management step in and asked them to leave. With all due respect, I will never go back to this place. It was not worth it based on the above information.

Probably my favorite bar in Clearwater. The service and staff are phenomenal. The crowd is usually pretty chill with everyone in a good mood. I always can look forward to a great night when I’m getting to the Pro Shop.

Every time in town i go here for a drink or two. Just a little Dive bar with many locals. Much older Crowd with lots of Cigarette smoke. Good drinks and shots. Bathroom could use a upgrade. Will be back again soon.

The oldest gay bar in the Pinellas County area the staff is fantastic especially the management the drinks are very reasonable they only have one problem that I would list and that is that use pour measurer which is ridiculous this is the only gay bar Ive ever been in my life that uses this type of device the main reason people go to a gay bar is so they can get a good strong drink and if youre measuring your pours youre not going to get a stiff drink. I would rather pay a little bit more for a drink that is been made without a specific measurement a good bartender knows how much liquor to put into a cocktail doesnt need a tool to do it for you. That is the only thing I would change about this bar other than that its a fun place to hang out the crowd is always nice and you can always find people to talk to and like I said the staff is fantastic

I stopped for a few drinks with a friend. I know I didnt drink 50 dollars worth of alcohol. But that is what my bank statement showed the next day. If it was all completely honest charges then their prices are way too high. I wont be goi.g back.

Pro shop is smoker friendly...wonderful people...the bar staff is awesome and is the Cheers of the gay community in Clearwater fl. Those of us that show up here regularly love making new people feel welcome...the bar is the oldest gay bar in florida and maybe the US...

If you are looking for a hip, modern meat market this isnt the place for you.. However if you are looking for clean comfy dive bar, with great bartenders and cheap drinks, this is what you are looking for.. I view like a gay version of Cheers... No, the decor hasnt been updated..ever, yes it is one of the few places you can actually smoke.. Nothing fancy, just good honest folks, serving honest drinks.. No pretension, no snobbery..

First time Ive been there and 17 years place looks much better very friendly I even met a guy there gorgeous great sense of humor and a great kisser great place to hang out great neighborhood bar
