Bennys Sports Bar and Latin Restaurant

Please do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant bar! Celebrated my mothers retirement party at Bennys and I honestly couldnt think of a better place! First, literally the cleanest bar Ive ever been to...like ever! Super CLEAN! Perfect space and atmosphere for our family and friends to eat, drink, relax and laugh. Highly recommend! If youre thinking of booking...BOOK BENNYS!!! Literally had guests complimenting all night. We loved the place. The service is unmatched! The owner truly cares about your experience. A lifetime memory was made and Im so glad it was at Bennys!

We were craving GOOD Puerto Rican food we had just came back from visiting family in Puerto Rico. We fell in love with the food on the island, Puerto Rico has the BEST FOOD! At Bennys Mary took good care of us, we all got the yellow rice with pigion peas, plaintains, chicken with red sauce. It was all delicious! Rice cooked perfect, chicken tender, the plantains better then what we had on the island! Our boy was thrilled to play the arcade game and I adored watching my loves play pool. The place is beautiful, clean and modern...it smelled good and fresh even in  the bathroom. Best long Islands we ever had!!! Private parking lot in back with police station literally right next door. Safe for my family. Worth the price and worth any wait. It takes money & time to make good qaulity things....Island time. Our visit was on a Thursday @ 6pm. We will definitely be back 💕

Do you believe in love at first bite?! Because I do. My friend and I stopped today at Bennys because I heard a LOTTTT about their Empandaillas. Bennys opens at 5 pm we were there at 5.15 pm sharp. We ordered chicken and beef empanadillas, arroz con gandules y tostones, sandwich de jamon y queso and more tostones for home because there was no more room in our belly. I have never ate such good food in my life. You taste love and the care that the chef is putting into all the delicious meals. The service was amazing. The bartender was amazing and such a great time. She recommended us items on the menu and more food that we will be back to try. She was also surprised to see how much we could eat .. but like it’s not my fault they cook so good. Today I really had one of my happiest day because I ate such great food . I will be back to eat more!

Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. The owner introduce Himself to everyone personally. He loved our energy and asked that we bring more people with the same energy. The food was great! The entire place including the restrooms were clean. I have already told my family that this must be included as a hang out place for us. Enjoyed the food especially the pork.

Had dinner there back in November, 2022 and all the food was the best I had in years! The customer service provided by the bartender was spectacular! Had spicy Latin rice, empanadas, and french fries. Everything was served on-time and hot. This establishment has always been very clean, professional, and organized every time that Ive ever came here and this visit was no different. I highly recommend eating or drinking here. I would be proud to bring a date here, rather than some overcrowded, overpriced, dirty, fake-steak house!

I have to say as a visitor from outside the country I havent felt so welcome to a place in a long time. The waitress Mary and the owner Joe thank you for welcoming us to cleavland. You made our night and we will sing your praises all the way back up north. Food and service top notch! Your New Canadian friends!

Came in on a Friday evening with my family and had a great time! Played a little pool with the kids and jammed to some music while waiting for the food. Staff is VERY helpful and friendly. The food is beyond AMAZING!!! Definitely will be back again!

This place is a rip-off. I like to support small businesses. I understand that prices have gone up because of the pandemic. However, the majority of their clients are minority hard working people who choose this place believing they will receive a humble experience. Instead, they are charged double the price for all their water down drinks and food that is not edible. People are not expecting to go to a corner bar and pay double the price of a high-end restaurant serving high-end food and mixed drinks. They may be a minority-owned business, but they don’t consider the community they are serving. Thankfully, there are other small businesses providing services with their customers in mind. If you want to come here for the music, make sure you eat and have your drinks someplace else! And the bartenders are all rude with zero experience in hospitality!

Dont go anywhere else for PR food - GO HERE. Served hot and fresh. We drove 3hrs to come here. And the food was absolutely worth it. The food, the people, the music, the environment all were 5 stars. We tried a couple PR places in the area and this place is where its at. Their food is so good you feel like youre in Puerto Rico sitting in Abuelas kitchen. Benny! Dont change a thing. Except maybe opening a Dayton location lol. Because theres nothing even close to what you have here. Well definitely be back 🥰

Bennys is unassuming but the food is fire! Mary is a fantastic bartender and takes great care of clients. I got the papa rellena and carne frita and both were BOMB. Strong recommend for Puerto Rican cuisine.

Went to enjoy a night with my motorcycle club. We had a blast. Music was on point. Food was good...everything we ordered was tasty. Bar tender is fast and very pleasant. We look forward to going back again. Great spot to hang out with friends drink and shoot pool.

Good is absolutely delicious! Atmosphere is relaxed. I with the bartender had a little bit more help from the management or another bartender on the weekend. We waited about 20 minutes just to place an order for take out food. The manager was kind enough to provide us free sodas while we waited for the bartender to take our order though.

First time here, so far so good. Cant give it a five star just yet, have to visit a few more times. But as for now I have no complaints. Place is clean, atmosphere is upbeat and comfortable, love the blended variety of music and its very likely Ill come again.Second time here and the atmosphere is still great. Well last Friday I took my girlfriend to Bennys because I had been there to eat before. But when I got the menu the bartender who took my order she didnt select what I wanted to eat. So since my girlfriend was ready to leave to go on a cruise I just took the food. When I started to eat it it was not good. The steak was hard to hew and swallow the onions were still crunchy and all together I was unsatisfied. So I called the bar and spoke to Ricky the manager. He told me to bring it back. When I got off the boat later that evening I took the food back only to have Ricky insult me and tell me to just eat it anyway. 🙃 Unbelievable.

Bennys is a hoppin joint. We had our fantasy football draft here. It was awesome surrounded by all the big TVs. And then the karaoke started! Great times

****Don’t say I haven’t tried to respond when I clearly emailed you back! Trying to flex for google. Don’t make me put our business out here!****We came do a nice dinner, 5 of us, we waited for almost 2 hours before we got our food. So obviously you have some drinks while you wait. Our portions were small and the Hennessy was so watered down we asked for doubles @$7.50 a shot 5 drinks were $75. Our bill was $225 at a dive bar in Cleveland, not a 5 star restaurant!! I will never in life support or recommend this place to anyone. Left a $40 tip because I’m that person but trust and believe it will never happen again! So disappointed. Don’t disgrace my culture by being money hungry.

Wow I came to a private event here and was blown away. Not only is this place beautiful inside the owner makes all feel so welcome. The best part for me was the empanaillas AMAZING. cant wait to come back

When I first started going it was awesome! The owner is a really nice person and made his customers feel at home or like they were a part of a bar family. Since a little bit before the close down and change in employees over the last 2-3 years, its gone downhill. The vibe is different, less welcoming and you get the feeling the staff (once again, not the owner) is only quick to service and be less annoyed with their personal friends in order to show off. Its sad but I miss the old bennys.

Ive order through door dash twice and the food is really great but the second time I order 2 dinners for $15 each plate was sent without the meat, that was very disappointing that after spending that money and delivery service they didnt take the time to look at the order properly. Hope they could work on that better specially for sevices that pay more.

Food was great, but service was poor. 4 girls working and it took so long, atleast 1/2 hour and thats 1 drink. When I was cashed out my bar tab was crazy. I had to have been charged someone elses drinks. Not organized. Music was good

Excellent Empanadas...Apparently a one or two person show...Seemed like the order taker was also cook and bartender...She was Awesome too...The downer...No alcohol after 10 pm ?Really ?Party of 3 would have ordered B4 if Id known...Food was VERY Good 👍

I went their for a repass for a very special lady Ms. Augustine Johnson. The owners have been more than family to her and Ms. Johnsons daughter Mikki. They are supportive family orientated and sell some good authentic Spanish food. They are always welcoming.

Ive never been more bored in a bar. Im surprised they charged $5 just to enter when all it is is cheap party lights and expensive drinks. The DJ wasnt any good either.

Hospitality is poor security has a tough approach witch is not needed to have a good time as Well bartender seems to be understaffed I waited 4 songs be for my order was taken. It is clean great atmosphere people seem happy just staff needs work

Calm atmosphere. The music was okay and the drinks were a bit on the pricy side. We went on a Friday night and it was not what we expected but definitely chill.

Mary Malave is top notch! I love the .50€ wings on Thursday nights. Cajun is my favorite.

I dont go to many neighborhood bars, but when I do, the only place that Im guaranteed good food, reasonable prices, and friendly/down to Earth people is Bennys. The owner, bartenders, chef and even the security guards are nice.

Everyone here was really nice especially one of the security guards he was really doing his job I noticed if someone would walk in the mens bathroom and be in for a bit to long hed go in n make sure there was nothing fishy going on n make sure all was goodThey ID anyone that looked under age and checked everyoneI didnt try the food but will next time my husband and I go againIt was an overall pleasant experienceI do recommend it

Highly recommend this place. The food is so good and very reasonable. Plenty of room and TVs. Its clean and comfortable. Perfect for dinner, drinks and/or dancing.

After a second visit to this locale I realized how great it is. The food is amazing and the local is safe and relaxed. Guess I just came in on a bad day last time around.

A tall apple crown and cranberry was $15. Other than than food and atmosphere was good but I wont return due to high drink prices.

I ordered yellow rice which was overcooked and mushy and two beef empanadas which were over cooked. I spent too much money at this establishment and it was a waste of money and time. I seriously do not recommend this place to anyone.

I went to celebrate my birthday and went straight to the bar the bartender did not acknowledge me or my cousins we were ready to spend and enjoy our time but she did not even acknowledge us....great service chica
