Linden Community Center

THANK YOU SO MUCH Linden Community Center for the quick turnaround for space for Sonshine Christian Academys Father / Daughter & Mother / Son Dance! The space was beautiful and clean, and the workers helped get the room designed the way that we needed.

I absolutely love this place! The people here are so welcoming and friendly. I never fail to have a fantastic time there. Gym is great, ppl are very kinda and respectful with gym material. 100% recommended 🏆

Honestly, I really cant believe how nice this place is. I remember how it used to be. This place is immaculate. It has everything you need in the community there. It even has a doctors office inside of it. Its a really, really nice place outdoors and indoors. It has a pond with fish. It has water park. It has a place to cook out. Barbecue shade trees, playgrounds, tennis cords, soccer hockey everything you need its a great piece for that community

Nice newer (3 yrs old) facility & outdoor play area. Indoor (2nd story) walking track, pickle-ball/basketball court, and weight center.

CLEAN THE DAMN POND!CUT THE DAMN GRASS REGULARLY!This park has the potential to be a place to seek serenity in the neighborhood that surrounds it, however the upkeep from the city is not as frequent as another park in other areas of the city that host more Caucasian people. #BLACKLIVESMATTER

Beautifully redone park and center. Didnt go inside but the courts, fields, and green spaces outside were lovely. Nice looking playgrounds, a splash pad (I think), walking paths, a Pavillion, and a small pond you can fish in as well.

Been coming here as A child did my very first rec center Halloween here as A 4 year old, they completely re did it, new everything it must sucks that some of it is for design bc they wont let people use the gymnastics rooms need to change that.

As a childhood and mid life northender of the Linden area. Its so nice there now! Im so glad that they gave back to the community like they did with the new center. Im just hoping as a community WE can and will keep it up for the children and families to continue to come back and enjoy it! 😉

My kids absolutely love the splash pad!

Park close to my house, I bring my dogs here multiple times a week & I also visit to use their grills :) Its a safe, clean and well maintained place that always has familys enjoying the picnic areas, young children playing, and even kids fishing regularly! Definitely the highlight of this neighborhood!

I come here five times out of the week to work out. Staff is always friendly the gym is always clean and holiday activities for the kids are so much fun and organized.

Lots of fun 😍 Im so happy theyve built this. My boys loved every minute and we was there for hours. No registration needed. Just pack the kids up and go have fun in the sun 😎🥰

Been going here for years. The splash pad and park are great for young and older kids.

What a great community resource. The weight room is nice, and a good walking/running track. Lots of programs for kids.

Hot, but gathered a lot of information about the community and changes the city is trying to implement. I was able to do a lot of networking.

They have a nice renovated outdoor play area with a splash pad. The only thing is the park is not made for kids under six or eight. I believe my toddler couldn’t play on anything there lots of things to do on the inside. Great staff great amenities.

Great snazzy community center that is HUGE! You get free keytag for basic indoor use. Nice outdoor playground and on other side is pond with benches.The walking track above basketball and gymnastic courts is very nice. 🙂 Great on a hot day!

Absolutely wonderful place. Fitness center has just about all you need in it, as well as wonderful staff. Bathrooms are clean and well organized, and there is so much to do there.

The community center is set in a large park. The playground is new and filled with brightly colored strangely shaped obstacles and jungle gyms. The turf is that squishy astro turf stuff. Surrounding it are lush trees and picnic tables, a couple tennis courts, basketball courts, and beaches that are nice and wide and comfortable. The only bad things were, they dont have any outdoor bathrooms, only whats inside the community center, and it was closed for the weekend when I was there. Also people were determined to just drive across the grass to drop things off near the two picnic shelters. Also the shelters are do not take reservations, just first come first serve which seemed to almost cause a fight that day bc one group had been waiting and the other drove up with a bunch of fancy party stuff and acted like they were entitled to the spot but in the end they sorted it out. All in all considering the location it was pretty clean and fun.

This center has been remodeled and is a site to see! Beautiful place. The staff are pretty dope too. You can tell they actually care about the kids. The gym, the dance studio, the basketball court, & outdoor splash pad are probably my top faves. Oh...and cant forget the amazing commercial kitchen. 🙌

I visited this Community Center to take my child for a WIC appointment. Its a very clean place with different facilities in one building. I will definitely visit them again. Find out what they offer and visit them.

Nice workout area, and friendly staff!

Love what they done to it I been there plenty of times .But this day was police day was very nice got nice stuff for my grandkids. I got see inside the police helicopter the kids got to sit inside they gave gun locks out also plenty of police came out shut out to them so many others came out also to support shut out kids have fun and free food and drinks for them was nice also

I was not in the center but took the kids over to play at the playground. They loved it! The outside is beautiful. I took the kids back and I have to down grade this park. I am shocked that in 6 days this park went from beautiful outside to trashy! So much litter and all tables were filthy and sticky. Did go inside this time and inside looked really nice with several good programs for ppl. This is the reason that the park got a 3 instead of a 2. It is a real shame that ppl cannot walk 10 feet to throw away their trash. I am a bit apprehensive to take the kids back.

Great Community Center with an indoor track to walk, a weight/exercise room as good as any local gyms, a basketball court, game room, outdoor park with beautiful walking path and a pond that allows fishing.

Im new to Ohio and I was told about this place to have my daughter 5th birthday party, so I call and cannot get A reply from the only person who handles party rental Tay is what staff say her name is today is day 4 with no reply. Really bad taste I wont be referring anyone here!! The staff was nice which is why the one star

While pulling up I see how nice it looks and was amazed at how clean and how the kids were having a grand ole time great job Linden.

First time there...it wasnt to bad at that point in time. Lol decent quite little pond too. Seems like to me, no matter where you are in the city area. Keep you nose to urself and there aint gonna be no issues.

This place is huge and just a really nice community center.

Great splash pad!! Nice park with sum shade under trees! Public bathrooms and a water fountain/water bottle refill area!

My Lil ladies had dance practice here oh and it was my very first time there since they tore down the old one ...I am so excited for the children (our future)to actually have somewhere to go when they need to get out the house and just stay busy doing positive things of course🙏🏾🙏🏾💯

Clean inside and great staff

A bunch of kids with gang activity unfortunately. The police seem to be doing their best to patrol the place. The pond is so freaking awesome though. Lots of turtles and large cat fish.

A great place for young and older. Such a beautiful addition to the neighborhood and the city of Columbus, Ohio.

It is a beautiful center, very clean. There are so many classes and activities offered, the adult staff as well as the junior staff is awesome!! They make you feel like you belong there.

I really enjoyed the new Linden Community Center, the ladies at the front desk were very welcoming, and helpful in getting me started with my membership and all the information that I needed to experience the full benefits of the center. The workout features, and the gymnasium were incredible, I was very pleased with the results of the new Linden Recreation center. Thankfully yours Mr Marcus O. Jackson

I grew up near this area and this place wasnt here when I was little. It is an amazing place. Lots to do inside and out, not to mention how huge outside area is as well.

I loved it! Its a huge turnaround from when I grew up at Linden rec. But I love it. And today was a good day!! Kids laughing and playing and getting along. Parents relaxing, waking. Just 😍

Staff was very helpful and friendly.

I enjoy my time in the gym. Everyone in the gym is friendly, the equipment that they have in the gym are superb. I have been on the house for 2 years and this is a great break.

The new pond is beautiful! 1st time Ive gotten to see it since being finished. I grew up going to this rec. center so I have a lot of fond memories.

I was thoroughly amazed by the transformation of the rec center! Incredible! Im going to look into all the new programs they offer. They truly are trying to fix up the community.

Absolutely love coming here. Has pretty pond to walk around playground for kids and game room and outside/inside basketball courts.

Breathtaking and beautiful. I cannot believe this is in my backyard and Im not utilizing its resources. Going to start getting more involved in my linden community! I hope others help out as well!

It was a very nice Linden McKinley Reunion.....had a great time and.there was plenty of good food.The B I G aka John Chubb was awesome...he had a raffle that would put all others to shame and it didnt cost a thing.

Nice building.I used their bathroom and it was very neat. And I like the playground for the kids too.

I was disappointed to know they are moving, I’m just moving back to the Linden area and this rec center was a vital part of my youth. I wanted to share the same feels with my children but I guess new memories are on the horizon. It was sooo close to my home! 🥺

Gym membership is $60 per YEAR! $15 for a quarter...cant beat it. Plus the outdoor walking path has a stationary bike and elliptical. Newer playground for the kids.

I dont like that the rec center and the water park closes at 4:00 on weekends. Like what are the neighborhood children supposed to do? I just dont understand!

Great Park really good for kids and adults as. Well lil pond, a lot of recreational choices and i just found out theres a water 🌊💦 sprinkler for the kids to play in

Bad experience, I have a baby the first of November and I called them, they told me they don’t have any appointment at that time, the only available date is November 22nd for me to get Wic for my new born baby. It’s not fair.

Grateful for the bike I got for my grandchild. The inside is open, but Im curious to why the outside area is not open. I want to walk their walking trail !!

A very nice community center. It has many activity rooms, a very nice gymnasium, exercise room, dance room, a track for indoor walking/running, a kitchen and more.

Block party. Buckeye Guy is here. The Mayor and Columbus Police Chief are suppose to be here. There are vendors, water park for anyone that wants to get wet. 3- on-3 basketball, dunk the police officer. Then there is going to something to eat at 8pm. So everyone come out !!!!!!!

The parents should really be out there even if your kids are teens... Try to enjoy the day with grandkids but it ended bad cause a fight was about to happen between an adult and teen, SMH

Beautiful place! I didnt know there was a pool area.

My husband , daughter, Son-in-law they played basketball and I pushed stroller around the walking path.

Great center with so many opportunities for all ages. Their fitness room is one of my favorites!

The fact that it closes so early on the weekend and the water park turns off so early it gives the children nothing to do

I participated in a community resource Fair it was a very well organized event. I myself had a very good response to the phones. I enjoyed it.

We like taking my granddaughter here and letting her feed the ducks. She has a blast!!

Great indoor track for walking!

Lots of outdoor activities for the kids...everyone seemed happy- but not alot of supervision

It upgraded drastically from when I grew up, those change increased a lot more value into the hood 🤌🏿

Grew Up in the North Linden Community and I’m glad to see the renewed spirit pouring into the Area.

Its a great place for kids to hang out, they have all kinds of things to do

1st time there for a baby shower. It was really nice and beautiful inside.

Took my 18 year old son to vote for his first time. Our first time going to the renovated Center.

Great new building offering all kinds of sports and arts for free or a low cost. Offering free vaccinations flu and covid.
