Wileys Comedy Club

I was in Dayton for the night and was excited to see there was a comedy show on that night. I came a little late and they still let me in and gave me a free drink. The owner and the staff were the most friendliest people ever and I had a great time. Shout out to the bartender working hard to finish her homework on top of working.

11/26/22Last Saturday 11/19/22 was the 1st time Id ever visited this club. I went to the 9 p.m. showing and it was a nice outing with my best friend. It wasnt crowded but that was ok cuz that meant we werent all on top of each other. It was very clean & together (if you know what I mean). One thing I dont particularly like is the fact that they automatically include an 18% gratuity. Like how are you gonna tell me how much to tip you on service I havent even received yet?!?! Also I didnt get a paper receipt (I didnt ask for one...just assumed that was automatic) the server just showed me my bill on her handheld computer device. There is a 2 item minimum. I got the grande nachos & it was delicious.....my friend got the meaty meaty tacos/nachos.....she said the meat was spicy. I got a fuzzy navel drink which I didnt like....my friend got a strawberry daiquiri which she did like. Well visit again but Ill get a itemized list on PAPER next time. Oh and the comedy was cool too! 🙂

Good show. Nice fun environment. If I had any feedback for this spot. The interior of the club is pretty rough. It could use a face lift.... If you are gonna do the standard 2 item minimum, food could also use some love. If you wanna charge premium money for food it should come out hot. This is one step over basic bar food. Overall experience was good. Staff were friendly and we had a great time . We will definitely be back .

People go here to have fun and laugh. Its the best comedy club in the area because it has the best staff and the best audiences, and it features some of the best touring road comics and local talent.

Love it! Inexpensive entertainment, good food, nice people, easy parking, and a great way to support stand-up comedy. Highly recommended... enjoy!

Server, Lisa, was the celebrity for our visit on Saturday night..she just radiates kindness and pride in her work..there was a certain amount of energy missing (except Lisa) from Wileys 7pm show on Saturday

Great time. Wonderful night of laughs and fun. Dont expect much at all from the food though. Just passable. Still five stars for the experience though!

Had a blast! My girlfriend and I had a great time watching Nef Johnson, a guy whose name slips my mind and Mike Armstrong. All 3 guys were very funny and engaged with the crowd. Were definitely going back to see other comedians soon! Very fun time!

We love to go see our friend, Brian Swineheart when hes in town at Wileys. We recently had an issue, that was partly our fault, and they made it right, right away!

I really enjoyed myself.That was my first time at Wileys and my first time seeing J.Anthony Brown person.The service was excellent as well.They were nice, polite, professional and organized.After the show I bought a T shirt and J.Anthony Brown signed it and I took a picture with him.That really made my night.Thanks to my cousin April for buying us tickets

It was a great show! The campfire comedy act is the one we saw and we all would definitely go back!

Nice venue, good prices, drinks are decent. Food menu is just ok. Would recommend just getting drinks and getting a snack/meal beforehand

Date night for us and under $50 lol ! The tickets were half off and the comedians were awesome , service was coo (they only have 1 waitress) , food was good . Wife’s first time and she loved it , nice crowd .

The entire staff is absolutely amazing. My favorite spot in Dayton by far. Always making things happen for local comedians and continuously bringing favorite brilliant minds from all over!

This is a no frills comedy club and thats exactly what I love about it. If youre looking for fine dining or fancy cocktails, stop by somewhere else first. If youre looking cheap drinks, bar snacks, and laughing so hard your face hurts, come to Wileys. I have been here several times and it seems like they have been attracting bigger and better talent recently, but I love also love a good no-name underground show. Cant wait to see what the cook up next.

Saw Donnie Baker and the Pork Pistols. It was great. Last time I was here it was super crowded due to the seating arrangements but this was great. Not crowded at all.

It took forever to get inside just to wait, so we waited in the cold for about 45 minutes, once in there we shared 2 small tables with 4 other people, very cramped. but seats were nice, stage elevated for good view of guest!

Went there for Story Slam. Had lots of fun! Appreciate Wileys hosting- good neighbor. Waitresses were phenomenal, beers were fine. Food was a little salty but it was adequate. Wish maybe a couple more choices and/or made with just a bit more care. Cool bar. Nice venue. Looking forward to going on a night with a comedian and next month for Story Slam. Thanks Wileys!

Great little spot, definition of hole in the wall. Has a lot of character. Saw Donnell Rawlings and he KILLED ! Keep in mind there is a 2 item minimum. Ordered 2 slices of raspberry cheesecake and 2 mountain dews & ended up paying $25 for that including a tip so things are a little pricy but it is a club so thats to be expected. Pretty good time, will definitely be back.

Saw Stuart Hoff - he was so funny! Highly recommend his show.

Ive visited Wileys several times and truly enjoy the place. The staff are always super kind and friendly they check back to see if you need anything and the atmosphere is fun. Its the oldest comedy club in Dayton which makes it even cooler in my opinion. For a smaller place they dont over crowd and lose site of good hospitality. Very affordable and fun joint I recommend everyone give it a chance at least once you wont be disappointed. The acts are always pretty hilarious too.

Vegetarian: okay, the menu has changed a bit as the club continues to change hands but Ive always had inexpensive options to choose from that are acceptable to me. A bit of a miss the last few times due to a minimal selection of local beer. Still, unless you are easily offended a night at a real comedy club, seeing the up and coming comedians most people havent heard of is a great time. Unfortunately I dont go as often as I used to because of work but this is still an amazing place and Even when things go awry its a great story to tell.

Great show tonight. Fireworks showdown tournament of amateur comics. The wait staff was hustling more than the comics as they were short handed. Good job. We had 9 in our party and everyone had a good time.

An out of the way discreet entrance makes you feel like youre discovering something cool, and the experience only improves as the night goes on. The room is wide but shallow with a higher ceiling than Id like, but overall Ive been in much worse comedy clubs. The seating is just what you want: packed in but not *too* crowded. The drink service was good and the staff was friendly and efficient.

Laugh all night. Order food never got it. All the other tables got waited on several times. When waitress came to check on drinks we ask where our food was. She said that wasnt her job. Then they wanted to bring it about 5 mintes before show was over.Then they wanted to give it to us in to go boxes. If I go again will get food before I go.

This was a first for my husband and I... going to a comedy show. We are both big Donnie Baker fans so when I saw he would be semi close (drove up from Cincinnati area) to us...i couldnt pass up the opportunity. I was pleasantly pleased. Got there early, parking was easy (probably not so much for late arrivals) got seated as soon as it was time to officially open. I was surprised at how descent the comedians were that took stage prior to main show... Donnie Baker. All around a great show with them all. Good crowd, sold out show. It did take a little bit for our drinks and snacks to come on first round but the drinks were delicious and much bigger than you would expect. I wasnt all that concerned with price once they came to the table. I know thats how these places make their money so its always refreshing when the place is not right wads. I also made a mistake when ordering my tickets online. I mistakenly ordered for Friday but needed Saturday due to work schedules. I emailed Tony and he rather quickly got back to me. He was extremely nice about it and was able to put me on the Saturday show. I cant speak for others but my husband and I had a great time. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks!!!

Try to get to a comedy show at least once a year. Planned a night out w my g/f, with intentions of going to another comedy club in town to see a friend perform…except they require proof of vaccine… Wiley’s should of been our first choice!! What a great evening to get out and laugh!!!Thanks Wiley’s for what you do!!

I have been here several times. I recently had a very pleasant customer service experience by the manager. We were scheduled to go to a show with relatives that could not make it due to difficult weather conditions. Despite the tickets saying no refunds, the manager allowed us to exchange them for a show a couple of weeks later. She didnt make it an issue at all. In fact, on the night of the show, she stopped by our table to say she was glad we could make it for the different show.

Really cool showroom! Very well managed and great comedy!

I went to see a friend perform here. The show was half over by the time I received my drink and an order of nachos. They were both over priced but whatever. Gas station nachos would have been better than what I was served. They were $11.00 and seriously terrible. I ordered a drink it was okay but little alcohol in it and &$15.00. Service was the worst. Wait staff never returned to our table. Then we were auto charged 25% gratuity. I had to tip for terrible food and poor service. Never again...

The drinks were watered down and I am a light weight, so that says a lot. the comedy mediocre at best Ill hardly laugh at all. This is a place where comics coming to practice

Had a blast at Wileys tonight! Todd McComas and Jeff Vibert put on a great show. Didnt realize they had expanded their menu, so we already ate. We will definitely try it next time. Our server was terrific.

The staff is friendly, their food is great and not overly expensive, and the comedians are always a blast. The management combines nationally touring headliners with local comics to create an all-around entertaining evening for each show. They are very supportive of local talent and my favorite part of the Dayton community.

I love this place. Its the oldest comedy club in Ohio and they have absolutely the best talent. I would recommend Wileys for a fun night out with your friends or even a date with your snuggle bunny. Just go have fun.

I went and saw Donnie Baker here recently and I had an absolute blast. Wileys serves standard buckets of beer and bar snacks, I had the pulled pork nachos which were pretty tasty. For the price of the show ($20) I would absolutely go back again.

Attended Super Dope comedy jam last night, the show was hilarious and had us rolling in laughter. A group of us attended as part of (my) birthday party, and the staff at Wileys was extremely helpful getting us set up, and took great care of us during the show. Definitely recommend the venue, but especially the Super Dope Jam - it really was terrific!

Our server was not real pleasant. I asked for a shot of bourbon chilled, but I specified I only wanted it shaken for a second because Id rather drink it warm than watered down. The server gave me attitude and then brought a drink that was very, very diluted and NOT EVEN COLD! But the show was hilarious! Ill go back, but Ill get my own drinks from the bar

What on earth has happened to Wiley’s? This place used to be THE premiere comedy club in Dayton. Big name headliners every weekend. Now, their shows feature local yokels who get into fights with audience members and whose feeble attempts at edge lord “look at me I’m so OFFENSIVE” comedy fall flat. Other “headliners” include…people I’ve never heard of. Where’s Donnie Baker? He used to be there all the time.I don’t know who owns Wiley’s now, but do everyone a favor and just sell the place to someone who will make the MULTIPLE necessary repairs, serve food that’s not a $3 basket of rolled gold pretzels, and invest in GOOD comics.Y’all should be embarrassed.

Was not fond of the place. Staff was not attentive, did not seem like they wanted your business. Comedians were ok, host was fine. Bathroom set up was horrible, one urinal and one stall only. Had to wait what felt like half an hour for two people to pee. Absolutely ridiculous.

Open mic here is better than a few Chicago clubs Ive been to. Wait staff is rushed and rarely seen as usual. Looked a bit crowded when we were seated but they opened up a curtain in the back with a lot more tables. Comics sat up front away from the door and stage entrance, which was weird.

Great atmosphere Wonderful staff great prices not super expensive for drinks alot of funny comedians definitely will be back

If you love live comedy this is one of the best spots around! Big name performers along with the best up and coming local and non-local comedians are all on hand at Wileys. Plus their Thursday night Secret Show open mic and the Sunday Comics open mic shows are perfect for anyone looking to get into the world of stand-up

Was a good time but the food that they basically made you buy was quite lacking. I was waiting a half hour just for soda refill. The acts were great and Kevin White was very funny.

Its awesome Wileys is open during a time when those need a good laugh.Been coming here since the 90s I hope all those who like comedy 🤣 remember Wileys Comedy Club was there for you during a pandemic when other BIG NAME CLUBS CHOSE TO KEEP THE DOORS CLOSED...

Comedian Chris Bowers was hilarious. Rice and chicken bowl was tasty. Cleanest bathroom of all comedy clubs Ive visited!

Staff is always nice. Drinks are cold. I like that its not a huge place and no matter where you sit, its a great view of the stage. Overall a fun place to go.

They charge you $15.00 for cover charge, then make you order a 2 item minimum!! Some people want to go out and have a good time and enjoy themselves and cant afford to buy a 2 item minimum!! Ridiculous!!

Charlie Hetter & gay Ray did nice show.The martini was served dirty, but was quick replaced.Why does Wileys feel like such a hole in the wall? Entrance is not welcoming, kind of run down.Bathroom could trip an epileptic in to a seizure with that paint. And even the stage for the performers was just a steel gray wall with Wileys logo....I guess if so your shows are in the dark the stage should at least be interesting.

The staff is awesome. Always very friendly and helpful. The new owners have made some great upgrades. There are a lot of different types of shows and always great comedy. Highly recommend.

Wileys Comedy Joint is a modern spin on a classic club. Simply outstanding. Some of the funniest people in Ohio stop into Wileys. From Dave Chappell to Ron White theyve all been here. The new menu is delicious and the drink prices are cheaper than most bars in the Oregon District

Always a good time! Servers are kind and on top of it, acts never disappoint!

I have never seen ice purposely being placed in a urinal until I went here. The carpet also should be replaced some time this decade, because it is probably the original. They also rarely draw known comedians any more.

Other than service being scarce, at first, it was a really great time and the staff are friendly.The band, Top Secret, did an excellent job, as always. The comedians also performed well.

We love the history and nostalgia of this place. The comedians were just okay this time, but the service was top-notch, as always.

Best value for entertainment in a Sunday night. Cant go wrong here for fun in general. The drinks are excellent but the food leaves something to be desired.

Average comics. Drinks in souvenir glasses you cant take with you. Overall odd experience.
