This old historic home caught my eye as a cool place to have a spa. I booked a massage. I was greeted by a friendly staff member and escorted upstairs to a room to change into a robe and a lounge area to relax until my appointment time. While waiting, I enjoyed flavored water and a healthy nut snack and filled out paperwork. The massage was wonderful, and the therapist was attentive to my areas of muscle tightness with an appropriate amount of pressure. They also offer a lot of skin care products and one can purchase products and services.I was very pleased with my experience.
This was my first time visiting the spa and it was excellent from start to finish. The place is beautiful, check in was easy and the girl was friendly and helpful. I changed into a super cozy robe, was offered a mimosa, and spend a few minutes relaxing in the lounge. I was booked for the illuminate facial but after talking to the esthetician, we decided on the vitamin c facial. Stephanie was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and truly listened to what I was asking for and gave expert advice. I’ve gotten quite a few facials in my life and none were on par with this one! Stephanie recommended a few products for me to purchased based on my wants and needs and was not at all pushy or overwhelming. She even came down again to explain the products again! I don’t live in Denver, but will definitely purchase future products from the spa and one day hopefully come back! 10/10! Thank you again stephanie!
Had a fantastic birthday experience here! My sister made me the appointment as a surprise... the only confusing part was there was a bridal party here on the same day, in which had the same name as me when they were switching services. A little chaotic, but once they figured out the schedule, the place was so relaxing. I got a mani / pedi with Nicole. She was fantastic - so friendly and did a great job. It was very relaxing! I heard their hair massages are to die for - definitely want to be back to experience that!
Booked the Head to Toe Relaxation pkg online. They took care of scheduling all the services and it was a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable experience. From the moment I entered, Rachelle was ready and greeted me and I had THE BEST MASSAGE Ive had in a very long time. She is Fantastic! Jacquelyn was very kind upon check out. I would recommend Woodhouse Denver to anyone looking for services... you will be glad you chose this place!
Had a very relaxing massage and spa day at Woodhouse Day Spa Denver The house was built in the 1800s, has a lot of gorgeous rooms, a house maiden staircase, and a wine celler with a vault in the basement. Also might be haunted! 😉We did a couples massage on the 3rd floor in a room that was absolutely elegant and warmly lit. The therapists were great!Highly recommend if youre going to be in the Denver area!
I thoroughly enjoy the Woodhouse spa! I took my husband here Feb 26th as a belated valentines gift. The experience as a whole was absolutely amazing- we got a couples massage. The only thing that felt mediocre to me was the ‘aromatherapy’ they included.. this was a $15 up charge for us each and I would have liked more than just a two second smell at the beginning and end of our massage. Otherwise, the facility was beautiful and the service was fantastic. I will definitely be back to the wood house spa!
I really appreciated my day at the spa! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful! I really loved the experience and the customer service. This is not cheap! So please make sure you take that into consideration. Also, be mindful of what products you plan to buy. Obviously you don’t have to buy anything, but if there’s something you really want.. ask the employee the costs. They should know and will be honest with you. I will say I wish there was more waiting room space. On the day I went there were a lot of customers and the waiting room was a big snug. I took the picture when the spa was about to close and everyone was either wrapping up or gone.
Very helpful and attentive. Clean and the whole staff was nice. We were visiting Denver and wanted to get massages. It seems to be in a residential area.We stayed at Le Meridian Hotel downtown and we walked to Woodhouse. It was 1.1 miles. We like to explore 😊.They give you robes and slippers. And will also give you libations and water. They also have a variety of tras which is nice.I tried to make an appointment the day we got in on Thursday for a couple massage but they weee booked and so was everywhere else. Lol so idk if people in Denver are all about self care or there was an event happening. But they had an opening on Friday. So I live in Houston and have been to the Woodhouse there and as far as Quality Control it felt and smelled the same so that is always nice.If you want to feel pampered and taken care of I definitely recommend. They have both men and women massage therapists so if you want to request a certain gender make sure to do so if you’re uncomfortable with a certain gender rubbing all over your bawdy lol. They were both very professional. So whoever did Adrian And Ashleigh on Friday the 18th I want you to know they did great. My girl was from New Orleans I remember that! She moved my limbs while massaging and to me that is a sign of a great massage therapist. My only request for ALL Woodhouses is better SNACKS in the waiting room! Lol like fruit, and cakes, cheese. A charcuterie spread of sorts lol you’ll see the snack selection in my photos. The Woodhouse in Houston had nuts too. I don’t like nuts lolI’m wondering if this is the original because it is inside of an actual house lol which is fun. The one I go to in Houston is just inside a small strip building (still nice)But overall a fantastic experience!
Love this place! All of the masseurs are wonderful! Support staff is always very professional and kind. The facilities are clean. It is in a Victorian home, and I love the esthetic, not much was changed to make it into a day spa. There are lockers, and beverages and snacks. Many many different services, youll be sure to fine what you’re looking for! My preferred person to see is An G. They are so wonderful! They are very calm, and really allow me to fully relax. They also are very strong, but gentle with soft hands. I get the best massages from them. Even if you can’t get An, any of the employees will give a great massage. I give gift cards to my friends and loved ones, that’s how much I enjoy this spa!
Mother daughter trip to the spa during our mini vacation to Denver..This amazing older restored home that must have been built in the late 1800s. Is absolutely stunning inside. They have three floors with what appears to be the original hardwood floors and stairs. The have respectfully decorated it with antique furniture and fixtures. They greet you with a smile and offer a wide assortment of drinks from water, coffee, tea, wine and of course Mimosa. The hostess takes you up to the second floor to change into robes and slippers and shows you to the lounge where they offer snack of different trail mix and water. This is where the provider of care comes gets you.We both had the warm Agave pedicures with Brittany which was AMAZING!!!! Brittany was very friendly and easy to carry on a conversation with. We both recommend her for all your feet care. For our Swedish massage we both were lucky enough to have Lindsay. Her hands were amazing after a long day of shopping and site seeing in downtown Denver. Both of us decide the next time we are lucky enough to be in Denver, we are making another trip to this Spa for sure..
The Woodhouse provides great atmosphere/ambiance to the clients. Angell, the lady who provided my massage was simply, Fantastic!!! She asked, listened and did a fenomenal work on my. Thank you Angell for your professionalism, thank you Woodhouse for a great time.
Stephanie did my facial and did an amazing job and was very knowledgeable in what would be best for my skin. Niko did my massage and was also amazing and knowledgeable! Highly recommend!
Had an amazing EXPERIENCE with Rachael and Emiliana! These therapist had us wishing we would have booked more time!!! Highly recommend!!!
Go see Alicia for a deep tissue massage. The pressure was intense and healing without being painful. I felt like I was on another planet with the level of relaxation I experienced.
We had an amazing experience at Woodhouse Spa for our pedicures. Top notch service and beautiful facility. Plus our toes look fabulous! :)
Hannah is the most amazing masseuse I have ever had the privilege of going to. She is friendly, attentive, and has a superpower for sensing and relieving knots and stress. I will never go to anyone else.
Looking for a firm deep tissue massage? Rachel is phenomenal!! I felt so relaxed after. Like I was walking in the clouds. Highly recommend
This place was amazing. The facility is beautiful and clean. We arrived very early, and got a complementary drink and one of the best robes ever - almost asked if I could buy it! Staff were friendly and the massage therapist listened to everything I asked and brought her own skill to find what I didnt even know about. She was very attentive to my needs. Brought two other people, we all got different styles and they were all amazing. Hopefully be back in Denver at some point soon! Ask for Alex!
Today was my first visit to the Denver location and it was lovely. The historic house is gorgeous. The staff is friendly and helpful. My service provider, MacLaine is the best!!! This was a very relaxing experience.
The overall experience is wonderful because of the service provider, Ashley and the great products and her expertise in facials. I would like to ask you to change your music to something more traditional- spa/ relaxation and nature- vs. the piano bar music that is now being piped in. Im a long-term customer and notice the difference and it does change the relaxation experience (for the negative). Thank you Ashley!
Excellent spa in downtown for massages and body treatments. Your visit will include lovely relaxation room, robes, slippers and complimentary infused water and teas.Highly recommend booking a treatment to rejuvenate here.Spa is located in a historic house, which is cozy, comforting, and exceptionally clean.
Today I had The Soma. And it was very bad experience. The Soma includes shirodara. Shirodara is massage when warm oil is dripped for a long time on the forehead and hair, and then massage is done.Let me say first, instead of hanging bowl, I was sprayed with oil from the plastic looking ketchup bottle. Then she dripped oil in my eye.The massage wasn’t so bad but it was very cold in the room. The worst thing there was no shower and nobody didn’t tell me about it. Afterwards I was only given one towel to wipe off tons of oil.I was forced to put my nice clothes on top of the oil. it ruined my clothes. As well I stained the interior of my car. I had to throw my clothes away because they are covered in oil.Stay away from this place.
Ive only ever had positive experiences here; everyone is so nice and the services leave me feeling refreshed and relaxed.
We had an amazing time at the Woodhouse Spa! When I first entered I was there prior to my companion, so they gave me the option to sit in the sun room, which was lovely. When my companion arrived they offered us complimentary mimosas (or sparkling water) and asked us to change into incredibly comfortable robes. We were then told to go into the relaxation room to await our treatments. We both got the deep tissue massage with hot stone enhancement for 50m. The time flew by! The masseuse was professional, courtesy and asked me about my experience every step of the way. It was a lovely massage. We were then allowed to reflect on the experience afterwards in the relaxation room, which was nice. Overall, the experience was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Ashley did my very relaxing facial. She shared her knowledge & gave me tips. I was greeted warmly upon arrival & taken upstairs to get comfortable.Woodhouse Spa is a lovely old building. I had no trouble parking. I definitely recommend Woodhouse Spa & Ashley.
I’ve always been a fan of Woodhouse but last week I was blown away even more. Hannah gave me one of the best services I’ve had before-she was the perfect balance of friendly but also letting me enjoy the massage as well. She’s absolutely who I’ll be booking when it’s time for my next massage!
Maddy was amazing! great atmosphere, nice people, changing room felt private, the waiting room had nice teas and snacks, and the massage rooms are lovely! we had a great conversation during my massage (i’m a talker) but was still relaxing and she was respectful of the silence when i wanted! she knew the right pressure and was receptive when i asked for change! my whole body is feeling great and refreshed!
I had a wonderful spa experience at Woodhouse in Fort Collins. Alyssa did a wonderful facial brow wax ect…. and I highly recommend her. At check out I learned that Denver spa had missed credited my gift card to another customer. The staff in Fort Collins worked very hard to investigate this error, but I ended up paying for the service myself. I later spoke with the manager at the Denver spa, and though it’s under new management, she is honoring my gift card by sending me a replacement card for a future treatment. That’s just excellent customer service.❤️
I had a really great experience at this location! The location is absolutely stunning and the staff members were so kind and welcoming. I received a balanced body massage from John Paul and it was the first massage I’ve ever received from a male. He made me feel very comfortable and was extremely professional throughout the service. I would definitely recommend him and this place to all! I can’t wait to come back!
Without a doubt, the staff and services here are exceptional. That said, I feel that the very high price for services at Woodhouse should warrant a focus on a “luxury” experience. The Denver location misses this mark in a few ways compared to other Woodhouse locations- most notably bathroom cleanliness and lack of amenities like tea/ coffee. If you’re looking for an elevated experience, I recommend looking to other Woodhouse locations
I really enjoyed my experience at Woodhouse Spa. Jean-Pauls wonderful 80mn massage rejuvenated me. My face was glowing afterwards! Then I had a pedicure with cheerful Marina who gives great feet massages, too. Last, I bought a lovelypair of pyjamas from their store.
Was welcomed with a mimosa and a cozy robe to change into upon arrival. The staff were are all very friendly and the place was clean with a relaxation lounge. Had a great massage session with Hannah, would recommend her and Woodhouse to anyone!
An is truly the best massage therapist Ive ever had. They were attentive to my needs, such as pressure and areas of concern, and allowed me to add on the CBD treatment just before the service. I wish I had booked more time and will certainly be back. I recommend arriving early to enjoy the quiet room and refreshments. Thank you, An and Woodhouse-Denver!
We booked a couples massage for our anniversary with the Denver location online. When it was time for our services, we were split up and taken back at different times even though I had chosen the option to only show appointments in the same room for the same service at the same time. We asked why we were being separated when the massage therapist came to call us back and she stated that the couples massage room was taken. The massages were fine, the atmosphere was fine, but they messed up the details to our reservation. When we checked out, we mentioned this to the cashier and she stated that if we want couples anything we have to call. No one seemed to know or care that our reservation was not correct. Had it not been a celebratory anniversary massage, it may not have mattered as much, but it was and it did.Just a follow up- Woodhouse did respond to my review and posted an email to contact which I did. They have never replied.
I ONLY review when completely deserving and here I am in the lounge area of the spa after services. Perhaps Im still basking in the afterglow of the best massage Ive ever had. My first impressions of this spa was pretentious but honestly Id be wary of a spa that didnt feel that way. Hydrofacial with Misha who was great, friendly, and knowledgeable. Deep tissue with Rachel who actually provided a deep massage. Most masseuse Ive gone to have provided relaxation but didnt really get in there not this one!The body keeps the score! This is probably the most connected to my own body that Ive felt in more years than I can remember. It does take me quite awhile to relax but when I finally did I wished I had booked more time. Now I know that Rachel will be the only reason I return (not that Misha wasnt great- facials just really arent my thing).
The girls and I went here to celebrate a gf’s 30th. The experience was perfect for a celebration. I wouldn’t go here for my regularly spa needs since it’s pricey and the massage wasn’t for me. I prefer deep aggressive massages. The pedicure was amazing and felt like that was definitely worth the price.
Double booked my appointment and canceled on me less than an hour before my scheduled time. Received a confirmation email the night before and everything!
This place is walking distance from my house and I love it so I’ve been several times. It’s a lovely old Victorian that’s such a nice atmosphere. Nice relaxation room with tea and trail mixes to snack on. I’ve had massages and facials and all the masseuses have been great and really nice. Good facials. My one sadness is that today I got there early looking forward to a glass of wine and was told they don’t serve alcohol anymore! Terrible news!!!! I was very disappointed and immediately less excited about the massage i’d already booked for my upcoming birthday or getting their gift cards for friends as I like to do. Please please reconsider this policy!
I was given a gift card and wasnt able to use it right away....when I tried to use the location in Golden, it was always booked, so I had to do the location downtown. Have been to this location pre-covid and had a great experience. This last time, I was really let down. The bathroom only has one toilet, so if someone is in there, you have to wait. They did not offer complementary champagne or wine at check-in. Couldnt find parking anywhere close, making me almost late. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment but was not taken from the waiting room until 5 minutes into my appointment time, resulting in a shorter message than what was paid for. The deep tissue message was on point but now costs significantly more in less than 2 years. They check out ladies try to shame you into a specific tipping price range of typical percentage that can be included as you check out. Overall, the message therapist did a great job. I just didnt do any additional time after getting called back late. I feel they want only a specific clientele and have priced themselves out of my business.
I was seen at the Woodhouse spa today! I loved my massage and pedicure. The atmosphere was great. The one thing I wish was different was the timing. Each treatment felt rushed, my pedicure artist kept looking at the clock, and my massage seemed to be abruptly ended at the time I was done. I did enjoy my services and will be going back! I just wish the services weren’t so time strict.
I was here with a pal for a girls day. You are welcomed with a beverage of your choosing and given a robe and pair of flip-flops to wear while you indulge yourself for the day. I had a wonderful massage from Rachel, and I intend to go again soon.
My wife and I were cursed out by an employee in the rear parking after accidentally driving the wrong direction on road. We brought this up to the manager (Megan,) and asked who the employee was. The manager responded very rudely and said she did not have to tell us. The reason we asked is that we were there for a couples massage and did not want this same employee to be our service provider. We did not receive the service because it was scheduled for the following day, and we chose not to reschedule due to our experience. I spoke to Megan a second time and she doubled down on her rudeness, informing me how dangerous it is to drive the wrong direction on the road. A lot could have been solved by a simple apology, instead here we are writing a Google review. This is probably the first time I have personally experienced a “Karen” in full Karen mode….I am waiting to hear back from the spa director at this point to see how they choose to handle the situation. It is not our first time at Woodhouse Spa, might be the last. The receptionist Alexa was kind, understanding and helpful!
Please go see Ann.Ann listened to the areas I wanted to be focused on and my massage was SO relaxing and best ever.
We cant say enough how much we appreciate Woodhouse Spa Denver for the quality of the couples massage we received. Audra and Maddysth were amazing and were extremely thorough in making sure our problem spots were a focus but also receiving a relaxing full body massage. With it being my first massage and working at a physical therapy office where Ive heard horror stories of bad massages plus my husband having several other not great massages with other businesses in the past, I wasnt sure what to expect but it definitely exceeded our expectations. We were also the last appointment on a Monday night but they never made us feel rushed and were just as thorough as if it was the 1st appointment of the day. We will absolutely be back and Ill recommend to any patient that needs a massage. Thank you Woodhouse Spa Denver (including the front desk), Audra, and Maddysth for a great experience!
Love this spa. The location is great and Audra is a wonderful therapist.
Went for a pedicure today and it was lovely. Emma took care of me and I enjoyed my time with her. I think of might of liked chatting with her more than the service :) Thank you Emma for a great start to my day.
Giving this place 4 stars (not 5) because booking groups with them is HARD. The place itself is amazing! Best experience, best staff, totally relaxing, worth the money! BUT, I have now tried to book 2 separate group events (Mothers Day for 6 people and Bachelorette Party for 12 people) and each time I have had to call or email 5+ times just to get a response. If they could get their group bookings buttoned up more I would rate this place 10++++ stars!!!!
Pretty pleasant first experience here for a prenatal massage! I had Birdie as my masseuse and she was great. She was incredibly professional and her level of service and attention to detail was great! I will be going back for sure! The only thing worth noting which did not impact my experience much was the room was a bit chilly but the business is in an old home and I was on the 3rd floor, so I’m sure that had to do with it. Overall, very pleased with my experience experience.
I recommend the Woodhouse Day Spa to anyone that really wants a nice professional facial or treatment. Today, I received an amazing Facial by the talented Stephanie K! Not only did she make me feel super relaxed but I truly felt healed by her amazing touch! Thank you so much!
Ive been going here for years and it used to be the best spa in Denver they were really focused on the customer experience which made up for the higher price you pay. Lately for the last 3 appointments Ive tried to book they have called to change the times or done so onsite very last minute. Each time they are also unable to ensure that my partner and I start and end at the same time which is pretty standard for spa services when you book together. It wouldnt be a big deal if it didnt seem to happen every single time or if they could schedule so it doesnt inconvenience their guests but it seems to be standard practice and the seems to only care that the providers schedule is booked back to back. Frankly if Im here to spend over $600 for my friend and I a $2 glass of wine for the inconvenience of waiting around for 30 - 60 min is not even close to the compensation I would expect and our time is worth a lot more then that. Since their customer service has dropped off so much the inflated prices are no longer worth it and Ill be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
A friend recommended booking Ashley in advance and I am so grateful I was able to request her for the hydrafacial. This is now my go to skin care location. I love how they welcome you and provide bathrobes and sandals to wear throughout the salon. I will continue to share the good word about how exceptional Ashley and Stephanie are!
Woodhouse made it right and I really appreciated the care I was given after I emailed my complaints and concerns. I feel, when all was said and done that I was treated with respect and caring.I asked for a Soothe and Hydrate facial. I am older and my skin is sensitive. I was informed that in fact the correct protocol was followed. It just wasn’t what I expected and was not good for my skin. The concerns of mine were heard and noted. That changed my whole perspective.Speak up, say what you need, ask questions…they will do their best to care for you.
Great place to relax and unwind. Krista was amazing. Great massage!
I was able to enjoy a relaxing spa day with Ashley and Stephanie. Stephanie was so gracious with walking me around the spa and showing me the amenities and resting spaces in between my services. I also appreciated how gracious she was with her time to walk me through products and strategies for a new skin car routine. I also loved my hydra-facial upgrade I decided to splurge on! Worth it. Ashley was so focused on ensuring I received the best care and great conversation! Definitely rebooking! Well Done Woodhouse! These two workers are a gem!
Went to book a package 3 weeks in advance and accidentally booked the next day. They won’t refund the money as the cancellation was not 24 hours in advance, but the booking wasn’t even made 24 hours in advance! Very disappointed and will not be booking any services in the future.Edit: the owner responded to my previous review (copied below) but did not read my review. I was not trying to use a gift certificate, but trying to book services late at night and accidentally booked for the next day. I already tried several phone calls with guest services and was told they cannot refund the money, even though no service was provided.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. We did Mani/Pedi, hot stone massage, and hydra facial. It was time well spent! Our skin looks bright, healthy, and full and we are rejuvenated for the holidays. We would def come again!
Nicole did a wonderful job! It was my first professional massage and she delivered!
Absolutely magical experience. The crazy soft & warm robes, friendly staff, and lovely services all made this the best day ever. We were a group of three, celebrating a special birthday milestone and the Woodhouse not only accommodated all of our requests, but went above and beyond to make us each feel special and pampered. I highly recommend the bourbon sugar scrub pedicure with the marshmallow moisturizer and hot stone massage! Like heaven on earth! 10/10 will be back!
Worst hand treatment with manicure Ive ever had. Massage was cursory, scrub consisted of lightly rubbing on salt then washing off immediately. Polish was uneven and already looked chipped. When I complained she just put a new coat over part of my nail, making it lumpy, then I was told I could have the remover and polish and do it myself. Lol. No thanks, not for $70+. I would have been better off rubbing on some coconut butter at home and letting my 10 yo paint my nails. Maybe I just had a bad server, but for this price shouldnt they all be good? Avoid.
We went for a couples massage and had a great room on the top of the house. every detail is nice from the robes, waiting room to the service. we left thinking how can we do this more often
I originally heard about Woodhouse Spa when my husband and I got married in Castle Pines and we came across the spa in that area. He ended up getting me a gift certificate for Woodhouse and I choose to go to the Denver location. I had an 80 minute hot stone massage with Anthony and I think it was the best massage I’ve had. I get a massage once every 3-6 months so I’ve had quite a few, and this one was definitely in the top. Woodhouse itself was a beautiful and relaxing spa. I enjoyed a mimosa while I waited in the relaxation room, and was able to sit and relax while sipping my choice of tea and snack after my massage. Everything was perfect and I enjoyed my relaxing morning very much! It’s exactly what I needed before traveling this week. I can’t recommend Woodhouse and Anthony enough!!
I love this place and have been coming for the past 8 years.Highly recommend.
Nice ambiance, nice people, but excessively overpriced. A gel mani/pedi ran me $140, more than double what a strip mall nail place charges, and nothing special was included to make the service special. For that price I would think a foot/leg scrub, aromatherapy- a little something special to justify the prices. Those services were, of course, available to add on for a fee. Nothing personal to the staff as they were lovely but the pricing is disheartening and not justified.
I do not think my holistic manicure of $65.00 plus tip was worth the money. The tech was ready to do a pedicure so communication was not very good on their part. She proceeded to do the manicure right there in the pedicure chair.Very uncomfortable to have to twist my body for the tech especially when she was working on the right hand.I love the building and the ambience but the treatment was just ok.I would definitely book with a different nail tech next time.
Many choices in the city, however, I was looking for a reputable and reliable Day Spa and found exactly what I needed in The Woodhouse Day Spa.Upon arrival I was greeted and welcomed with such kindness and warmth.Emma is so authentic and professional with a true level of patience and attention to detail. You won’t be disappointed.
Love it here. Just seeing the gorgeous old house that the spa occupies is worth the visit
We went here for a couples massage on our wedding day and they were excellent! Anthony was extremely accommodating as I just had shoulder surgery and he was able to make it feel amazing. Mallory was also amazing for my fiancé and made us feel extremely special. We mentioned it was our wedding day and they gave us a parting gift with a nice bottle of champagne. Highly highly recommend!
Completely just doing this because I made an apt for NYE and had to cancel because my haircut apt pushed me back and they couldn’t accommodate but charged me 50% for cancelling within 24 hours and keep asking me how my experience was so I keep getting reminded I gave them $150 for nothing and they want to know how I feel about it. So yeah I feel negatively about it. Suggest be more chill during the holidays or disable your feedback reminders for people that cancel
Best Spa in DenverI have been a faithful customer of the Woodhouse Day Spa Denver since I moved to Denver 7 years ago. As a girl who loves a good massage, I have tried many spas across Denver in search of the best massage and consistent excellent service. The Woodhouse Day Spa is both of these - each time I visit, Ive received incredible service from the check in process to the services (usually massage), to the check out/gift shop. While the Woodhouse is somewhat of a splurge spa, in terms of price, its so worth it. It consistently delivers great service -- never a bad massage, which is something I cant say about other places. :)
My daughter got me a gift certificate for my birthday. We went today for facials and Mani/pedis. The building is beautiful. We were greeted with mimosas. We each enjoyed our facials. The nail experience - not so much. My nails are fine. My daughters were still tacky 2 hours later. Two fingernails are lumpy and one toenail wiped off, over 2 hours later. If this was a typical Mani/Pedi, it would not have been so upsetting. But she paid $280 plus 20% tip. For 2 Mani and Pedi. We went back to ask for repairs. Nope. So they sold my daughter an opened bottle of polish so she can fix it herself!! Dont you think they should have done more?I will never go back. Do not get nail services here unless you have money to burn for a bad job.
Love it I feel so much better and it was a great first time experience
Had a really lovely experience here for pedicures last week with my partner. The space is charming— tucked into an old house, which felt festive with the holiday decorations around. The pedicure itself was decadent: sugar scrub, hot neck pillow, seaweed wrap, attentive and friendly employees... The only part of the experience that felt a little odd was the fact that the check-in desk and spa shop are both on the first floor, next to the pedicure room and you need to walk through them to get anywhere else in the spa. Once I’ve changed into a robe I’d prefer to not have to walk through groups of people looking in the shop or purchasing gift cards. It seems like if you got other services you’d be able to change and remain on the second floor, but that wasn’t the case with the pedicures. A slightly different experience than being in a spa where you enter the spa and are able to stay in spa mode, if you know what I mean. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and relaxing— I would definitely come back.
I cannot give my praise enough on how amazing my experience was! We’re in town for a few days and after working too much and stress I desperately needed a massage. Holly was SO incredible with hearing my needs and putting them into the best deep tissue I’ve ever had. The space was beyond incredible and relaxing. Also, LOVED that they had good wine available to greet you with. If I ever return to Denver, I will absolutely come back to this spa!
Cody was absolutely phenomenal at everything and truly is the best employee Ive ever encountered in my life! Woodhouse spa extremely fortunate and blessed to have an incredible asset apart of their company!
Ive been going to this Woodhouse for years now to get monthlyish massages and they are simply amazing. I love the ambiance of the old Victorian home and the calming tea room. Im a picky person when it comes to my massages and the masseuses at this location are excellent. I get the series of 6 massages to make my frequent trips a little more affordable. The one time I had a massage I wasnt happy with, I spoke with the manager who refunded my massage 100%. Ive had nothing but positive experiences since!
I am a fellow massage therapist from out of state. I was excited to get a couples massage for my birthday but was quickly disappointed.Even though I had booked a couples massage that was not what we received, we were out in two separate rooms even though I had booked the service specifically to be in the same room.Upon asking about this I was told that “we could do it in the same room if it was really important to me, but it would cut into the session time.”Given that the massage was already only 50 minutes I did not want to end up paying full price if I was going to get my session cut for something that was not my fault. At the end of the day this did not feel like a $106 massage experience. I left feeling disappointed and over charged for something I was really looking forward to. As a massage therapist my top priority is my clients satisfaction with the entire massage experience, this did not feel like the case at this spa.
I have been scheduling my pedicures there for quite some time and couldnt be more pleased with the quality of service I receive. No matter which person does them, theyre delightful. I also really appreciate that I can purchase a group of pedicures, effectively receiving one or two absolutely free of charge. Not only is Woodhouse a lovely spa, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing, they do really great work.
The Woodhouse provides a truly relaxing spa experience. I was greeted with a nice glass of wine to enjoy on the sun porch while filling out my new guest profile, and then welcomed to the comfy spa chair for my pedicure. The best part about it was that I was not rushed at all. They were happy to let me relax while letting my toes dry, instead of being shuffled to a different area like most spas. Even so, there are several cozy spots to hang out if I did need to move... porch, fireplace, service room... it is all stellar. Not to mention very professional employees and a great pedicure!
We had a girl’s day spa treatment. It was a very clean and relaxed atmosphere. The deep tissue massage was great. We also had a facial from Shane that was absolutely heavenly. She did an excellent job and I would highly recommend her.
I traveled to Denver from Detroit, and while my husband was working, I decided to have a well-needed ‘me’ day! After being greeted with a glass of champagne and s fluffy robe and slippers, Rachel gave the best massage that I’ve had in a long time! Cheyenne did a fantastic job with my manicure! Loved the front desk staff, as well. They made this out-of-town visitor feel welcomed!! ❤️❤️❤️
I REALLY wanted to love this place. I’ve been looking for a place to do couples massage more often. I stumbled across this place and decided to give it a chance because reviews were good. We got to spa 15 minutes early. The girl working the front desk was not very warm and welcoming like you typically see in SPAs. She knew nothing about the beers that were offered and said “sorry I don’t really know- I’m still learning” so my husband ended up not even wanting one. Then she takes us upstairs to the “locker room” and talks SO fast and quiet that I still didn’t know how to use the locker. It was SUPER rushed. My husband and I sat in the relaxation room for awhile. The massage therapist came and got us at 7:07pm. Got us to the room. Gave us instruction and walked out. It was 7:15pm before the massage even started (scheduled time was 7:00) so myself and my husband assumed they would go till 8:05pm instead of 7:50pm to makeup the extra 15 minutes..... they didn’t. So we basically paid $210.00 bucks for a 35 minute massage. SO DISAPPOINTED. But I will say: massage therapists were WONDERFUL and did such a good job- on both of us! Friendly and very knowledgeable. So sad it ended way too soon!
This was me and my Husbands 3rd time at the Woodhouse Day Spa and just like the two previous visits, we LOVED it! From the second you walk in the door, you are greeted with fuzzy robes and mimosas and given a chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The house is just beautiful and so welcoming. Steven and Kristen then came and introduced themselves to ready us for our couples massage. Ahhh...it was amazing and we felt renewed after the stressful holidays. I would highly recommend the Woodhouse Day Spa, it is an amazingly relaxing experience, and if you are lucky enough to share it with your best friend, it is even more so! Thank you again Woodhouse staff, you do not disappoint!
Came in from out of town and the girls really worked around our schedule for our service. The agave honey pedicure is a delight! Our 1 hr massage was great and one of the best ones I have had. Sad I don’t live in Denver to return but will def check out the Woodhouse day spa in my area.
Update! In regards to arrive 30 mins ahead of the appointment time, my appointment is at 9am which is your opening time, how do I arrive 30 mins before you even open? And that obviously wasn’t an issue since the appointment was finished in 30 mins even after we supposedly are late. Thanks for your response. They reached out to my girlfriend who made the reservation for my phone number due to the bad review, but never called! Well! Must not be that important to have upset customer!****One bad experience will get you from 5 stars to 2. My girl friend and I arrived at 855 when our appointment is set at 9am. Not sure how can you prep earlier when they don’t open until 9am and upon arrival there is a number of things you need to do to get ready. When we came down from upstairs the change room, the red hair was upset apparently since we are “late”. She made sure to let me know immediately that “since we didn’t get started on time, I will try to fit everything in if I can”. Ok, I let this one go, then during the entire service she is just such a miserable person to look at. She looks mean, mad, and most definitely someone should find a different job since she hates it so much! She finished my deluxe foot massage and pedi in to only 30 mins and it costs me 90 dollars! It takes 30 mins just to do a regular pedi everywhere! Thank you for ruining our first experience! We were very much looking forward to this until your face. And we will be sure not to come back again. Don’t get the red hair!
I came here as a birthday treat for myself. I was very excited to come here but left feeling pretty blah about the experience. I will say that the massage itself was good however when booking a package for $300+ it comes with certain expectations that you will receive all advertised services. However although I was booked for 3 services I was not given the robe and locker that was to be included. Instead I carried my things from service to service. When I asked the nail tech she didn’t even know that I was booked for more than one service. To me this indicates lack of communication. Then when checking out again I mentioned that I did not receive everything that was to be included only to be told that I was to mention it at the beginning of check in, but I was never informed of this procedure when I booked my service, I was told that these things would be included not that I had to request them. The receptionist then told me she would take 15% off for the oversight but failed to mention that it would be 15% off of one service, and of course it was the lowest cost service, which ended up being just $10 off. This was only revealed after I had to question why I was only getting $10 off when it was supposed to be a 15% discount. Overall the experience was just not what you expect when spending so much money somewhere.
One of the best massages I’ve ever had!
Earlier this month my wife and I visited the Woodhouse Day Spa for massages and a pedicure for her. I have been a client at the Spa every month since August because everything about the Woodhouse is outstanding, from the warm, greetings as you enter this old charming former home to the services offered. I have seen the same massage therapist since last summer, and she exemplifies the quality spa treatment you desire. I highly recommend the Woodhouse Day Spa to anyone who wants to be pampered, welcomed, and thoroughly pleased with any and everything offered.
A sweet gift from my niece. My skin is always dry and flaky when I visit Colorado, but after my facial, it was moist and dewy for days! The spa is in a charming, gorgeously decorated home...with numerous beautiful areas to relax. The complimentary, after treatment mimosa was a lovely touch. Great experience!
Thank you to Corey for being the answer to my nails/toes! She’s incredible and very personable. Super knowledgeable and very accommodating to last minute add-ons. I had been searching for a nail tech for the past 1 1/2 years and I’m so grateful to have found her. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my visits with her and literally have NEVER had a shellac manicure last three weeks prior to her. I’ve been getting my nails done every 1-2 weeks since ‘04 and lived all over the country and Corey surpasses anyone I’ve ever worked with. Kudos to Woodhouse for recognizing great talent!!! She’s amazing, thank you!!!
The atmosphere is amazing and the staff was so friendly. Krista, my massage therapist did an awesome job really focusing on my problem areas. This was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
Our group was in Denver for a weekend getaway and booked services at The Woodhouse. The staff was very helpful and getting a variety of services set up for 5 people was no problem. We all thoroughly enjoyed our massages, pedicures and manicure. If we are back in the Denver area for any reason, well definitely return. Would highly recommend!
I had an 80 minute deep tissue massage followed by a pedicure as a treat for my birthday. The massage was fantastic!! Easily one of the best - if not THE best - massages Ive ever had. It was just the right amount of pressure and had a great overall approach. The pedicure was lackluster. For $60 I expected a lot more. It was supposed to last 50 minutes but afterwards I realized it was done in no more than 40 minutes which took away from the overall experience. My polish was already finished by the time others in the room (who had started before me and appeared to have the same pedicure service) were still getting leg massages. I felt like I was jipped on the pedicure. I still gave 4 stars since the massage and rest of the experience were so good, but I was disappointed in the pedicure.
Woodhouse is most definitely my favorite spa in Denver. For reference, I go every two weeks for my shellac and a pedicure and occasionally have a hot stone massage. My nail therapist is Chloe, and Ashley is my masseuse. Both ladies are friendly, professional, and long-term employees (which is the key to consistent service and says so much about the owner). It goes without saying the quality of my services and the beauty of the spa exceeds my expectations every time.
On 2/17/22 I booked a couples massage for my wife and I. While my massage by Amy was quite literally the best massage I have ever received, my wife had the complete opposite experience with her massage therapist Rhonda.Rhonda was extremely abrupt and rough with her movements, startling my wife multiple times throughout the massage. My wife said she never felt relaxed during her massage because Rhonda was clearly rushing through it, never spending time on her low back, which my wife had specifically asked Rhonda to focus on. Early in the massage my wife asked for a little more pressure and Rhonda replied “I can’t. That’s as hard as I go.” Only to find out later she charged us extra for “deep tissue”. Even as I was enjoying my massage I felt the annoyed and irritated tone in Rhonda’s reply as if my wife had insulted her for asking for a little more pressure. As the massage went on it became increasingly harder for both my wife and I to relax due to Rhonda’s constant heavy breathing. It was very distracting and to the point where that’s all I could hear and focus on.As someone who is also a massage therapist in the field, my wife felt extremely disappointed at the entire experience at Woodhouse except for the extremely knowledgeable and kind service that Samantha showed her when we later bought Skinceutical products at checkout.Edit: In reply to your response, we NEVER talked and definitely never discussed credits being put onto my wife and I’s profile. I’m not sure if this is a ploy you and your company do to combat negative reviews but this conversation that you’re saying we supposedly had is completely fictitious. It. Never. Happened. I am not looking for credits, discounts, or even my money back. But thank you for exposing your lack of business ethics within the company.
I hosted a small baby shower for a friend at Woodhouse and had a great experience - they were easy to work with on the group booking, staff was friendly and talented, facilities charming and clean and overall experience very positive. Would highly recommend. One thing to know is that due to the historic nature of the facility, they dont have a sauna, steam room or some of the other shared amenities found in more modern space. However, it did not take away from our experience.
Lovely, professional setting. Had a wonderful, customized facial with Ashley who really addressed my concerns.
Today was my first visit to Woodhouse day spa in Denver. I was very excited to receive a gift certificate to this spa for Christmas as I truly needed some self care time after working a very busy holiday season at my job and I had heard wonderful things about the place. I chose the Woodhouse signature pedicure as I am on my feet a lot and they needed the most TLC. I was looking forward to a most luxurious pedicure. When I arrived to check in I was told to pick a color and wait for my provider. I had to ask for a water after I arrived, and also where the bathroom was located. I was not offered the option of a robe which was kind of a bummer since I had leggings on. My provider was quite nice and not too talkative until it got to the massage part. Which is the part I like to close my eyes and truly enjoy. I felt she rushed through the stone massage as she told me about some exciting things in her life. Which is lovely and she was lovely but I feel her attention was not on me and I’d say the stone part lasted only a few mins total even with the little rock’s they put between your toes. She dropped one of the big rocks on the the floor while giving me the stone massage which is the reason I suspect she didn’t continue? All in all it was a nice pedicure but it was only a 60 minute experience rather than 90 mins as shown on the website. The pedi space is only 4 chairs which is more private than other salons so that’s a perk, but all in all, I feel I’ve received the same service if not better at a typical nail salon. At less than half the price. When I addressed the time issue they spoke with my provider and then I was told that it’s because I didn’t have many callouses and that is why it went quicker than the time I had booked. I said that I felt shorted, particularly on the massage part. The very young woman working the counter’s exact words were “sorry that’s all I can tell you” as she shrugged. I still left a tip but way less than I would normally. And I won’t be receiving a pedicure again at a spa as it didn’t feel like a spa experience.
Had a maternity massage today with Audra and it was AWESOME! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The whole place was super welcoming and relaxing.
I saw Alex for my massage- it was amazing, like a sports massage- just how I like it! All the staff are well trained, and the atmosphere is so beautiful! Im a sucker for these Victorian beauties (the houses), and this one was done very nicely. It is well kept also, I know because Im on the prowl for unkempt-ness wherever I go!Pauline did my manicure, and its perfect, just the way I like it! I even messed up one hand and she graciously fixed it no problem. Ill be back for sure.
I had a prenatal massage where they put me in an uncomfortable contraption on my stomach that made me feel like I was hurting the baby. They were willing to switch to a side position but this took a long time resulting in a very short, expensive massage.
Presented for pedicure appointment with shellac on my toes. Was told shellac could not be reapplied because there wasn’t enough time during 50 minute appointment. Proceeded with appointment and agreed to regular polish. Informed pedicurist that my feet were swollen and was told massage would get blood flowing. Received the most gentle rubbing of my feet for a couple of minutes, wouldn’t consider it a massage. Appointment ended 20 minutes early with no polish. Still confused as to why shellac couldn’t be applied.
This was the absolute WORST service from any spa I have been too. It is too bad - I have celebrated many birthdays, bridal receptions at Woodhouse. But now I will NEVER return. I booked what I thought was a relaxing afternoon for two 80 massages and pedicures. I booked the appts for both my friend and I. I booked 30 min between the appointments so we could relax, the point of all of this. Woodhouse called to move up the massages by 30 min. I worked with them and altered my plans to accommodate them. When I called to confirm the pedicures had been moved in relation to the massages I was told we only had 10 min in between appointments. So much for our relaxing afternoon. When I said I only agreed to this to accommodate YOU - I was told they had many other customers to accommodate.Okay - I will not be one of them.
Best pedicure Ive EVER had. We came her to celebrate my moms birthday on October 21st and its now November 10th and they still look great!!! No chipping or peeling! I didnt know it was possible to have a pedicure not chip, especially when I wear work boots everyday to work. Im absolutely amazed at the quality. And the service was superb. If I could give them an additional star I would. I highly recommend them and my mom and I will definitely be back
Serene clean professional day spa in restored historic Denver Capitol Hill neighborhood. Many choices of servcies , well prepared , trained staff
Highly recommend! Excellent experience - prenatal massage was wonderful.
My friend and I visited Denver for the first time for a girls getaway and decided to book a massage at Woodhouse Day Spa. We both chose the Woodhouse Escape and loved it. I cant remember my friends massage therapists name, but I had Rachelle and she was great. The only thing that threw me off a little was when it came time to pay, my service cost a little more than my friends did. They said it was because I added CBD to the massage oil which I did, but I didnt realize that it would cost extra. I thought it was included with the other scent options, but I was fine with it since the massage was so good. Just make sure to ask if anything costs extra should any of the technicians suggest something. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this place and would go back if Im ever in Denver again.
It was really nice inside and the people were great, we did the Woodhouse signature manicure and it was good, but I wouldnt do it again for that price. Nail polish came off the next day or two on both of us, we thought there would be more of a massage but there wasnt, there wasnt a table to do the manicure on really so you have to lean to the side.
Michelle Buettner is the BEST!! Went in for a long overdue facial...Michelle was extremely knowledge and professional. It was the most relaxing facial and I love how she provided tips to maintain and fix problems. Its now been a month and I cant believe how great my face looks and feels! :)Ive gone to Michelle a couple times before at other spas...Woodhouse had a good atmosphere but I will follow this girl wherever she goes!I feel the prices were average... need to go in early next time and chill in the relaxing room (whatever it is called)
This spa is AMAZING. They are having a seasonal pedicure, try it out!! So relaxing, and you get a complimentary glass of wine during your visit. My friend and I spent two days here, The ladies here were all super friendly, my pedicure turned out great, and my massage was really relaxing as well. Parking can be a little difficult, but you can also tandem park in their lot, just leave your keys in case they need to move your car. Thanks ladies, we will be back as soon as possible!
I used my birthday gift card at WoodHouse Day Spa yesterday and the experience was just heavenly! It was snowing outside and was so cozy and luxurious inside. I had a facial with Michelle and she did an amazing job! My skin felt so hydrated and revived. I highly recommend treating yourself to this pampering experience!
So grateful i was able to upgrade my service to a hydrafacial to get the best skin care service and education from Ashley. Thank you so much for your time and education on products that match my skincare! No more hives or breakouts for me!
I was recently given a gift certificate to The Woodhouse Day Spa and decided to enjoy a Duet Massage and invited a friend along. Everyone we spoke to about it leading up to our massage were envious, letting us know The Woodhouse is their favorite spa, and walking in, its easy to see why.The exterior of the spa is breathtaking and well kept, being a renovated house build in 1889 for one of Colorados Senators. A welcoming seating area is the first thing you see, followed by an attentive and cheerful receptionist. My friend and I ended up arriving almost an hour early, which the receptionist explained was absolutely no problem, that she would rather us be early than late. Check in was easy and we were offered a complimentary beverage of wine, champagne, mimosa, etc. I had the champagne which was sweet and crisp, and my friend had the mimosa, even remarking it was one of the best shed ever had. After filling out our first time guest form, we were shown upstairs to a changing room and offered a complimentary robe to use for our visit as well as sandals. Lockers are provided to keep your belongings safe while youre being pampered, and if you dont want to change in the changing room they have a private changing room option as well. My only concern about the robes is I felt slightly uncomfortable as they seem to be one size fits all which isnt too comfortable if youre anything more than a medium.Once my friend and I were changed and ready we were shown to a relaxation room which boasted tea, snacks, soft music, and beautiful antique furniture. We were able to sit and relax there while waiting for our massage and just chat and catch up.Our massage therapists were prompt and greeted us with friendly smiles, introducing themselves to us before leading us upstairs to our massage room.Decadent does not even begin to describe the private room we were given. There were two massage beds impeccably made with deep purple sheets, a seating area, and counters to put your drink if needed. I had the pleasure of receiving a massage from Adam and my friends therapist was Audra. Both asked us if we had any requests, any areas we wanted worked on specifically or areas to avoid, how we liked our pressure, etc. They both left the room to give us a moment of privacy to disrobe and climb into bed.For the next 50 minutes I felt like I was in heaven, and I just wish I could have taken Adam home with me! I had told him to do whatever he wanted but to go easy on my right knee due to an injury from a couple weeks ago, and he paid particular attention to working the knots out of my back, which was almost enough to put me to sleep. As requested when he got to my knee he eased up on the pressure, taking care to not cause me any discomfort. My friend told me that Audra paid attention to everything shed specified and that the massage was incredibly relaxing and well worth the visit. After the massage, our therapists stepped outside so we could slip back into our robes. When we were ready, we opened the door and they were waiting there with a glass of cool water, then Adam invited us to follow him back downstairs to the changing room. Complimentary showers are provided, as is a comb and blow dryer so you can freshen up before heading back out into the real world!Check out was a breeze, with the option of leaving gratuity on your card or in cash and they were more than accommodating as far as my gift certificate then splitting the rest up between my friend and I. They offer the products that are used in their facials, as well as a few more boutique items, tea to purchase, etc.It is absolutely easy to see why The Woodhouse Day Spa is on the list of favorite spas in the Denver area! You get what you pay for and the service is exceptional! Im looking forward to going back!
I had been in for a pedicure on Wednesday. At that time I scheduled a couples massage for Saturday. The gal that did my massage was the nail technician from Wednesday!! I had scheduled with a male massage therapist so clearly she was not who I expected. I have never wanted to walk out of a massage before. There is no way this gal was a licensed massage therapist. It literally felt like someone just rubbing lotion for 80 minutes. This place has clearly spiraled downhill in recent time. Wont be back, dont waste your money. I inquiried at checkout and the snobby girl argued with me and said subject to change. Sorry but a nail tech that didnt know what she was doing touching me for 80 minutes is not subject to change.
I spent an afternoon with my daughter at the Woodhouse Day Spa and we both had an amazing massage, facial, and pedicure. You feel comfortable and welcome the moment you walk in the door of the spa. The atmosphere was relaxing and everyone was friendly and professional.
Always a treat. First time I had a facial there and I would highly recommend it. The products are top notch. Make sure to allow time for the front porch and a lovely pre-ordered lunch can be arranged. A glass of wine or champagne comes with it. An absolutely divine place to spend an afternoon!
I loved my package that included a massage, facial, and pedicure. They offered a drink on arrival which I enjoyed on their shaded back patio. During COVID, robes are only offered to those who purchased packages. Ive never been so cozy, I wish I could have taken that robe home. I highly recommend stopping in for a service.. or 3.
I had the weirdest treatment at Woodhouse Littleton. It’s lovely but oh my god go to southglenn or Denver. Not only did my technician not have a clue what she was doing, she missed several steps, and admitted that she had no idea what product she was applying to my body. It took three days and several calls on my end for them to offer the treatment again. I passed. I’m not going back to a spa that employs people that think it’s ok to not know what products they’re putting on clients. That’s insane.Update: wood house reached out to me and credited my friends card (It was a gift) $50 for a $200 treatment that I tipped 30% on. My thoughts? Don’t go there! Spend your money at a local spot or if you want a chain go to 4 seasons. Wood house is a strip mall spa with locations all over the country. Also check out the chairs in their “lounge”. Yuck!
This was an unexpected bad experience, the service of a couples massage was mediocre at best and felt very rushed. I was told several times that since they were not very busy, the therapists have been waiting for us to come in since 1 oclock in the afternoon, for a 5pm appointment. This made us feel very uncomfortable, as if they were bagging for a higher tip. Service was about 70 minutes on a paid 90 minute massage. The one complementary glass of wine was great, but the second glass was $11, so beware, not sure they can even sell alcohol, and for their high prices it should be all the wine you want free of charge, not like we can actually be there long enough to drink more than 2.The name under the reservation was different, by the way, nut they know they messed up, so hopefully they will improve.
If you need the most perfect manicure ask for Mareena. She is awesome. My manicure is flawless. She is super good at what she does. She is also adorable and delightful to talk to.
I want to first say that this is my favorite spa in Denver and I cherish the experiences I have had because I always take my mother here when she is visiting. Ive experienced wonderful services and think it is one of the most relaxing and beautiful spa buildings. Im providing this feedback for the owner to maintain this and improve on what I experienced on Sunday. My fiancé and I were treating my future mother-in-law to a 80-minute Swedish massage for a mothers day gift.*I am willing to change my review if during my next visit the below are improved. I sincerely hope this was a one-off and this review will be helpful for the spa.I am high on attention to detail and noticed the following during my recent visit with my mother-in-law to be: service at the front desk was not as friendly and seemed rushed (we arrived 30 minutes in advance so did not think this was appropriate - it was also at 2:30pm and did not appear to be that busy). In the changing room, the robes were overflowing in the laundry bin, there was not soap in the bathroom, and the toilet was not flushing. In the relaxation room, there were dirty glasses everywhere and the snack area was unkept, and the hot water machine was not working for tea. I also hate to say this, but my Swedish 80-minute massage was not as high quality as I have received in the past. The tech seemed uncomfortable/timid and I was not welcomed in the massage room in the same manner - she simply said, Ill be right back and didnt tell me to hang my robe on the door and how to get on the table, which I thought was weird. Again, these are little details but really added up.I am not one to write a negative review but these are details that separate a mediocre spa to a wonderful one. I know Woodhouse Day Spa is a wonderful spa so please take this review on how to improve.
Ive had many good massages at the Woodhouse, but on Saturday I had a terrible experience. I asked for a deep tissue massage, but the inexperienced girl didnt know how to do it. Probably had something to do with her weighing about 95 lbs. Her hands werent strong enough, and she rushed through it. I mentioned this when I checked out and the woman gave me a $10 off coupon for the Littleton spa which I have no interest in visiting. Lesson learned, specify what kind of masseuse you want or dont want upfront, and dont expect any sympathy if you have a bad experience.Follow up:. Woodhouse responded and gave me a gift card for 50% off my next massage. Hey - its SOMETHING! Ill gladly accept. Thanks for reaching out, Woodhouse!
We got a couples massage, and it was amazing. Both massage therapists were wonderful, and the spa is very inviting and cozy. I got a prenatal massage, and I think every pregnant woman should have one. My hips and back dont hurt for the first time in weeks. Thank you!!
Woodhouse in uptown has been around for a while. Great old house. Had a massage - Amazing! Facial- Magical! Pedicure- the best ever! All was good but everything seemed a little rushed and there was an attempt to upsell or product push for every service - a little much for my taste and took away from the overall experience.
I loved the house the woodwork and decor is beautiful. Unfortunately that is where is ended. I received a massage as a gift and I am new to the area and was just in town for a few days. This was a gift that my friend called in and gave her credit card information. When my massage was over which the therapist seemed rushed. The receptionist (who was talking with other employees and left me standing there for awhile ended her conversation to settle my bill. It was paid in full. The receptionist said she had nothing on file that it was prepaid. She insisted that I take care of the bill. My friend called the salon which I was very embrassed and they had it in their system they had poor communication skills. It really ruined my day. I talked with the manager she seemed not to care about my spa experience instead she said she will bring this situation up during training. Overall poor customer service no one asked how I was doing or any special touches that I look for in a upscale salon. This was a huge disappointment.
Our experience couldnt have been more perfect. From the pictures, I was thinking it wouldnt really feel like the spa experience I wanted but we went with it. It was perfect and I LOVED the ambiance of the place. It was so relaxed. Lourdes did my massage (I had a couples massage with my husband). It was a perfect experience and I would go back a zillion times if I had the money.
My girlfriend was having neck pains and wed both been wanting to get a massage for a while. Wood house was the only place that we could book last minute. At first I found that accommodating. Unfortunately the whole process was very uncoordinated, being brought into the room was awkward and it was clear neither therapist had worked together. Rather than a nice last minute couples massage it was more awkward and stuffy than anything. Never could relax. The music was really bad knock off 90s relaxation music that avoided copyright infringement by playing offkey casio synth flute. The place was decorated by my grandmother. After the massage I asked if they had a sauna or steam facilities and was looked at as if no spa in the world ever thought of including those things. We were followed out of the building by one of the massage therapists who followed us a block down the street and happened to have parked behind us. It was also very weird and awkward and seemed like they wanted to leave as much as we did. This place more so seems to cater to the caddy old lady who wants a pedicure than your typical full service spa that is used to accommodating a variety of clientele.I keep reading from others reviews about free drinks, cookies, a relaxation room? Im not even sure we were offered a glass of water after the massage.
Came for a pedicure and have been back repeatedly. What a pampered feeling to have you feet soak in a classy bowl of warm water while you sip champagne. Not only your dry skin but your cares float away. I loved the choice of scrubs and the hot stone massage. No worries about toenail fungus here!!! Plus there are great polish color choices and my polish lasted 2 weeks! I will be back again and again.
Ive only been once but so excited to go again! Nestled in a classic Victorian home, this place feels luxe and comfortable at the same time. On walking in, the staff was excited to see me and greeted me with my choice of drinks (including stranahans, which was a nice choice!) My esthetician was excellent and a great conversationalist, I felt comfortable the whole time. Great experience!
Got a couples massage this weekend and it was... fine. I wouldve been very content if I had paid less or had a Groupon for it. However, for how much I paid, I was surprised at our experience.Neither of us felt like the pressure was right. His was supposed to be a deep tissue and I asked for moderate to deep pressure on mine. Both of us felt like they tended to go much lighter than we needed or they were capable of. But anytime we were about to ask for more pressure they would do something that was perfect and we would think they were working up to it. My boyfriend even commented that that evening he was still tense in a couple of places and a day later all of his tension was back. Overall it ended up not being exactly what we wanted. The facilities were lovely but again, not what I expected. The complimentary drinks were very nice but the snacks offered were a little puzzling. Chex mix and mixed nuts seemed more fitting for a pub than a day spa. Overall I think I would have been much happier with my experience if it had not cost the same as the nicer luxury resort spas I have been to.
Bought a gift card for my daughter-in-law who is expecting a second child. Just wanted to let her know that she is loved and special. Woodhouse was so easy to work with to purchase the card and it arrived very quickly. She was absolutely thrilled to receive a gift card for a massage.
I haven’t even gotten a service from this location yet.. it’s in an hour. But i’ve had a hectic morning with my family, and I was sure I just had to cancel my appointment with them. Instead, I think her name is Christine (i’ll leave another review after my services and confirm lol) was so eager to make sure my boyfriend and I could still come in and enjoy our services so we didn’t get charged for nothing. I was in a bad head space this morning, and honestly just because she made the effort to make sure we still get to come in and relax, she made my mood so much brighter! I’m so excited for my service!(Update)Her name was Christina and our massage therapists, Holly & Rachel were phenomenal! They made our short experience there magical and memorable. We will definitely be back!
I’ve been going to woodhouse day spa for over ten years and after my experience on Thursday I will not be returning. The spa was chaotic , the front desk manager (short, long dark hair) was rude, did NOT know the specials and was abrasive with my friend. No relaxation rooms, changing in and out of your cloths in between services, putting your belongings into plastic tubs and being shuffled around was far from the relaxing experience of a day spa. Having to wait on the main floor for your next service and then being confronted like you’re loitering was also offensive. The prices no longer reflect what you should receive at a spa. I understand Covid has made the service industry difficult but this was unacceptable.
Woodhouse Day Spa–Denver is a remarkable spa. I love the warm atmosphere, attention to detail and the staff is so friendly. My treatment room was welcoming and setup for comfort. My esthetician was professional and calming. I felt very cared for and enjoyed the relaxing experience. Thank you.
My wife and I have been to this spa several times now, and here in Denver its one of the nicest ones around. Great atmosphere, its not just a massage place, and the therapists are good, although like any, some are better than others. Weve always been treated very well, they are accommodating to same day appointments, and each room has nice amenities.
Great massage at Woodhouse Denver yesterday. I had been having so much neck and back issues from lots of traveling. Feeling so good this morning. Thank you Nick for your help and advice. Woodhouse is relaxing and the professional staff always keep me coming back whenever I am in town.
We were greeted and were taken right in. We dressed in our robes and gathered in the relaxation room. Our reservation went right on time for a massage. My masseuse was Gina and she was fabulous. I highly recommend her
Natalie is THE BEST. I had an 80 minute Swedish massage and couldnt have asked for anything more! Also, the relaxation room is so inviting and the rest of the staff works hard to ensure you are comfortable at all time. If you havent been you are missing out!
I had a gift certificate so I decided to go for their facial. My skin looked wonderful when they were done, Mick was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had about skin care. The house is absolutely beautiful - great place to have pampering done.
The facials at the Woodhouse are second to none. Unlike other spas that Ive visited, they dont try to up-sell you nor do they try to sell you on multiple products after your service (unless you ask for advice). The quality of the facial is fantastic and I always leave feeling pampered and wanting to stay even longer. Located in a gorgeous historic home, the atmosphere is relaxing and serene. I highly recommend the Woodhouse!
Had an amazing massage experience with Hannah. Will definitely go back!
What a disappointment! I visit the Wood House Spa about two times a year when I visit my daughter for the past 5 years, I currently live in California. I have always raved about my time at this spa and wish I had one of these at home, my daughter has too. Sadly my 2 recent visits have been more obnoxious then enjoyable. My last visit in January I felt like the older woman at the reception desk was being very pushy with selling me products that were left for me my facialist. I told the woman I did not live in state but she insisted I buy the products to have my daughter ship them to me later. I let this go being as this had never happened to me before at this spa. I was visiting Colorado again this past week and this same older woman was at the reception desk. In the past we have always been acknowledged right away not this time.My daughter and I walked up to the reception area only to be ignored, where these two woman were standing discussing how the other got pregnant and who the father was! I was so disgusted as was my daughter for obvious reasons. I felt very uncomfortable to the point of almost walking out the front door I now wish I would have listened to my gut. I am not sure what the older womans role is at this business exactly she may possibly be a supervisor by the way she interacted with other employees that I saw I cannot remember what her name badge said exactly maybe Crystal? I do not plan on figuring out the details as we will never visit this establishment again we are on the hunt for a spa to pamper us on my next visit. To pay hundreds of dollars to leave feeling so upset is unforgivable, I have never felt so compelled to write something bad yet brutally truthfull about a business as I did from this moment as I understand everyone has that bad day from time to time but to have 2 bad and awkward experiences in 6 months while spending upwards of $500 for my daughter and myself is unacceptable. The old house is very beautiful, but the customer service is far from beautiful
Ive been going to Woodhouse in Denver for several years now and have never had a bad experience. I ask for a spa every year from my hubby for Mothers Day and I so look forward to using it. I go regularly for pedis and they are outstanding. Both the 50 minute and 90 minute pedi are fabulous! You cant go wrong going to Woodhouse. It costs a little more, but its well worth the extra price!
So very disappointed with the service of this spa and their staff. I had come here several times a year with a group of friends and spent a lot of money. Over the last year they have become completely inflexible and unaccommodating - wanting to nickel and dime our group to pay for simply enjoying the relaxation space in between services. A spa should be an enjoyable time, they have now lost at least $1000 per visit in revenues several times per year. I urge you to go where the spa cares about you as a customer.
Came here not long ago with my GF for her graduation. Loved the place, incredibly friendly staff. Mens changing area is a bit small and kind of awkward to be in there with some one else. Nice atmosphere in a good area. Has parking in the back which is a great plus for me at least since it near downtown. Will probably come back, prices were great and the services were done amazingly.
The Hydrafacials are amazing. Ive never understood the power of a hydrafacial until Ashley educated me and walked me through every step of the process. She knows her craft! If youre here, try and request Ashley. After 10 years of coming here, she never fails to perform.
While on vacation with my husband, I was drawn to Woodhouse because of online reviews. We were not disappointed! We had an 80 minute couples massage that was the perfect way to start our vacation. Loved everything about it.
This place was such an amazing experience! Kind of pricey but the service was great and you are greeted with wine/beer/mimosa/tea, what more can a girl ask for? I felt so pampered and relaxed after my two hour Woodhouse Escape treatment.
Lydia Miller reached out to me based on my review, apologized for the service issues and offered me a FREE haircut. Again, I got a great cut from Kristy (again) and this is what a salon experience should be - relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you, The Woodhouse Day Spa - Denver. I will be back!!
I actually got a classic spa package from my coworkers. The experience was alright and the conversation with the girls was good, but the girl who did my facial apparently added on an extra $25.00 upgrade which I knew nothing about and then when I told the girl at the front desk that I was not told about the upgrade she proceeded to tell me I was lying. I see why there are so many reviews saying theyre rude! Definitely not scheduling the group of moms that I was going to.
Nothing better than an amazing massage to take a break during this crazy year. Woodhouse talked me through all the COVID policies before hand so I felt comfortable with being around people not in my COVID pod. They were very respectful and safe.
I have been going to the Woodhouse Day Spa in Capitol Hill for many years now. Every visit over the years seems to be better than the last. Just this past weekend, I went in for a sugar scrub pedicure and needed a facial too and decided on the Woodhouse Hydrafacial-80 minutes. Wow, I cant say enough about the Hydrafacial. First off, my pedicure was with Shelley and I am a repeat customer of hers. Very thorough and does a fantastic job on my feet. Next, Rachel completed my facial. She also did a fantastic job. The next day at work people noticed my face looked much better. One reason is that the deep cleaning is not even on the same scale as the other facials. The extraction method was in a class by itself. WONDERFUL! My skin is breathing again. In the past Ive had the anti-aging facial and skin fitness which is good for a first time facial. Both were excellent. For massage, I recommend Audra. The Woodhouse is truly a great place to go when you want to freshen your face, feet, or have a relaxing massage. Sincerely, E.E. Hill
My husband and I had a fabulous couples massage. Both massages were excellent. Husband had a deep tissue massage by Megan. He said it was the best that he had in a long time. I had a relaxation aromatherapy that was was amazing by Audrina. Thank you!
Never had a massage and first time I ever come and will be the last time I ever come to this “high end” place. We came to celebrate a bachelorette party to end the weekend right and what do we get? One girl didn’t get a massage because they gave her appointment away and other girl and I got half massages when it was supposed to be FULL BODY and they just want to give us 15% off that is insane when one didn’t get a massage and we only got half of one. Overpriced place wen we check out they tell me I have an add one of CBD which yes I did use but the massage therapist told me it’s included in your package so might as well use it and get to find out that’s an add on if $20.00 Plus $18 gratitude because we had a group of 4+!!! So we each had to pay $18 for a service not well done. Unprofessional never will come back.
I am lucky enough to live only a few blocks from The Woodhouse. However, even if I lived an hour a way it would be worth it! I love The Woodhouse. Every single time they provide excellent services, a serene environment and ultimate relaxation. I ask for my husband for a gift card for my birthday and Christmas every year!
They confirmed my appointment 2 days prior to a couples massage I had booked 6 weeks earlier, then they cancelled it less than 24 hours before we were due to arrive. was very disappointing, I wouldnt book here with confidence again.
Ive been too many spa locations for different treatments. But i must say that my experience at the Woodhouse was my most comfortable and relaxing one yet! I will definitly be going again and would recommend it to anyone looking for great spa experience. I loved everything about this place from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out!
I am so happy to have discovered Woodhouse - Ill go there now for every fun friend and family occasion. My daughter and I went on her 22 yr birthday and had massages and facials. They were DEVINE and the atmosphere is so delightful. I highly recommend!
Ive been to the Denver Woodhouse Day Spa now a couple of times and really enjoyed my visit. Everyone I meet is professional, kind, and courteous. Combine that with the unique, beautiful, comfortable atmosphere and they have accomplished a perfect tranquility. So peaceful--I highly recommend it!
Love this spa! The sheets on the massage tables are absolutely awesome. The products used for facials are soothing and effective - better than at other high end spas. The staff is very professional and helpful. Woodhouse is the nicest day spa in Denver.
Wonderful massage, would go again!!
My husband and I went here for New Years Eve and wow it was amazing. We live nearby and everything about the Woodhouse Day Spa was exceptional. We began by offered wine, which we accepted, and then the robes (where can I buy one of those!!), you then sit in a room while you wait for your massage. This room offers snacks, tea, water and a quiet place to talk or read. Once you are called for your massage the real magic begins... the bed you lay on is quite possibly a cloud of comfiness... seriously... you will dread the moment you realize those minutes ticked by as quick as they did. I def recommend the a longer session- as the 50 minutes is more like 5 in my mind haha. The massage was one of the best massages I have ever had and dont be quiet about what kind of firmness you like- if you complain it was too rough or too light that is your own fault for keeping your mouth closed. SO SPEAK UP! And relax and enjoy. It wont be your last visit.
I would like to start by saying, I have never in life written a review. However, I believe when you have an issue with a company and you reach out to them first but they take your situation lightly, then its time to write to the public to warn other people. My appointment was for Facial and underarm waxing. But initially I was schedule for Brazilian and Underarm Waxing, thank heavens above that i did not get the Brazilian because it would have been a horrible breakout down in my lady parts:(When I arrived, I was impressed with the professionalism and Jessica, my aesthetician, was also professional as well. The service she performed, Ive had better, but overall it was good. The next day, i felt a little tingling under my arms and it was weird, but I thought it was maybe a little dryness from the wax, but never would have thought of fungus, allergic reaction, or bacterial. The reaction worsen spreading down my arms. Its been a little over three weeks now to discover it was a bacterial contact Dermatitis that i had to have recieved do to the wax.Not sure how sanitation happens at The Wood house Spa, but it was definitely do to uncleaned product.Ive been a beauty professional for 22 years and Ive been getting waxed for 15 years. I have never had any allergic reactions to any wax that was on the market and ive always went to professional spas to get my services done.Due to COVID-19, sanitation needs to be top priority and it is obviously not at The Woodhouse Day Spa-BE CAREFUL
This is one of the cutest wonderful spas I’ve been to in Denver. The house itself is so charming and the staff is wonderful. I get gift cards to come here for pretty much anyone I like in my life.
Great first time at The Woodhouse. I had a swedish massage by Erin which was just what I needed. The only thing Id change is Id be sure to schedule a longer massage because it was so relaxing and rejuvenating!
Woodhousw is one of my favorite places to get a massag. The staff is utterly incredible and I love it being in the old house. However, I like being in a dark room during my massage for a more relaxing enviroment. This last time, I was in a room with the window facing the street, and while the therapist was terrific, and they had sheer curtains, it wasnt as relaxing. I could hear the traffic outside, and other staff members talking in the hall, I sometimes wondered if they were in the room.I still love this spa, and know other rooms there are very quiet, but based on my last visit, I can just give 4 stars this time!! Ill still be back!
Mareena and Sae always do a wonderful job on my nails!
I went in for a pedicure and lavendar sugar scrub and I had the most wonderful time. The staff are very friendly and did an amazing job! I am so pleased with the service and their attention to detail. I will definitely be returning soon!
I will always keep coming back here for Ashleys hydrafacials! Ask about her because she has the best energy and soothing voice to talk to while receiving the hydrafacial. Love you Ashley!
I had a great massage therapist but the service otherwise was horrible service. They have horrible communication service. We added on a person after we got called that there was an add on and that person didn’t get any services. We went as a group and one of the ladies didn’t get her frontal massage and another ladies didn’t get her back massage!! And they couldn’t come up with a solution since the manager wasn’t onsite on SUNDAYS!!! UNACCEPTABLE it ruined a great event before my sisters wedding!!
The absolute worst waxing experience! I have been waxing for years and thought I would treat myself and I cannot believe the amount of hair still left on my legs and bikini area! The pedicure was ok. Those were the only services I had. The wood house did refund me but it was not about the money, I dont have time to get this fixed. I expected a lot more.
I have gone to The Woodhouse Day Spa for several years, and always enjoy the experience. I have had facials and mani/pedis! I have seen both Ashley and Francesca and they are great. My friend Chris and I have made these visits a twice yearly event!
My experience at The Woodhouse was... fine. Ive had a handful of massages in my life, and this one (by far the most expensive) will certainly be lost in my memory soon. I cant exactly put my finger on anything wrong, only that the experience was unremarkable, and Id look elsewhere next time Im hankering for a spa treatment.
Love this place! So cozy, sunny, warm and pleasant in a charming historic house; a glass of wine or tea when you arrive, and all of my services have been perfect. I have been going here for four or more years and have brought my mom, sister and visiting friends.
Had one of the best massages with Cheli. She was wonderful, warm and gave such great care in her practice. Can’t recommend enough!
Gift card buying was a breeze, best part about here is your gift is more so considered a credit. Great start if a certain package isn’t for certain people. Options and versatility wins it for me!
Pedicure was great, wine was a great treat as well! Atmosphere is wonderful and very relaxing. Id suggest not going close to closing time as I felt slightly rushed. I will be back, just at a different time!!
I go about once a month here. There is rear parking usually. They have snacks while you are waiting and serve beverages. They people who work there are always friendly. I have done massages, pedicures, and waxing. It is clean. Bathroom is clean. I would definitely recommend this to friends. Very relaxing.
What a gem of a place. Handed me wine when I walked in, gave me a warm robe to put on, and put me at ease immediately. My deep tissue massage was wonderful and my massage therapist really listened to what I asked for as well as had some helpful tips. Thank you!
This place is nice but not great. They would not honor my gift certificate purchased from another Wood House Spa that I called ahead of time to change. They charged me more then I was quoted and forgot to bring me my glass of wine before my message. The staff were very nice but those little things matter.
The best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. Such a great experience from the moment I stepped in the door. Can’t wait to come back!
Went with a friend for manicures, lunch and pedicures. The whole experience was phenomenal. Would highly recommend the Woodhouse Signature Treatments. Ive paid more for treatments that werent half as good!
Give yourself an opportunity to rejuvenate, at Woodhouse Day Spa. A place you can enjoy alone or with others. Ive never had a bad service at Woodhouse its always clean and courteous staff, everyone treats you with respect.
Loved every minute of it! Both services (massage w/Anthony & manicure w/Yesenia) were professional, comforting & fun. Highly recommend. Thanks, Woodhouse Day Spa!
Best services Ive had in a while-facial, massage, mani-pedi with wonderfully relaxing surroundings. Careful focus on the customer. You cant go wrong at Woodhouse. Easy parking too.
THE place to go for a prenatal massage. Kristi not only gave me the best prenatal massage but also likely the best massage Ive ever had. Their prenatal table permits you to enjoy your massage facing down.
Loved it! Services were top notch. Staff was very accommodating. We were here for a combo anniversary and pre wedding destress. We had the signature manicures and pedicures. Definitely worth the time. Would go again.
Ive been going to the Woodhouse Day Spa since 2007 and consistently have a great experience when I treat myself. The staff is always extremely pleasant and helpful and the ambiance is relaxing. Its worth the splurge!
My go to for self-care. They offer complimentary drinks and snacks. The staff n is really welcoming. I usually fall asleep during treatments.
Beautiful experience through and through! Beautiful building, rooms, decor, and more. This is definitely a special treat that would be a great present for a birthday, anniversary, etc. The staff was polite and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience!
People deserve to know this place is overpriced. The generic replies from management are almost an insult. As if we all want to drop 300$ to try yall again. Get real
I typically feel uncomfortable in swanky spas but the ladies at Woodhouse made me feel so comfortable, treated me with polite kindness, brought me a beer And let me relax...the massage by Krysten was amazing! I never felt better!!
This is a great place. I will continue to go there. However, beware of the parking situation. Arrive early enough to find a spot on the street. If you park in the small lot behind the building, people will park behind you and youre parked in. Then you have to wait for someone to move their car (if youre lucky). If its not an employee, then you have to wait while they call a tow truck. Not sure why they allow this. Really inconvenient.
