Huge venue, busy yet attentive staff and bartenders. So fun are the indoor and outdoor areas like a fun maze with surprises. Super awesome that theres no cover for over 21 y.o. Diverse beautiful visitors of all sexes and genders. Dance floor was great fun, mostly playing high tempo stuff and remixes.Bathroom actually has toilet paper and soap and paper towels.Whisky sour wasnt very sour but the alcohol was still good.
I have LOVED going to this club for years. The staff are always amazing and make me feel welcomed! The drag queens always blow my mind and make sure everyone is having a good time. The music is always perfect to make the night memorable. I will continue to go back!!!
Not friendly to minorities. I have been profiled and called racial slurs in the bar. When I complained to the employees, I was told that I should leave. Horrible place for any person of color. Avoid!
Nestled away in the warehouse district of Raleigh is Legends! Such a fun place! If youve never been (queer or not), then youve got to try it out. They have the best bartenders in Raleigh! Although they may not be able to make your specialty cocktail, they know how to make a DAMN good party drink. Lets be honest guys, its a club, not a cocktail bar. DJ Joey knows how to keep the dance floor moving if youre wanting some dancing! If dancing isnt your thing, you can always go see the Spotlight Divas in their very own DRAG THEATER! Make sure you check the schedule to see who is performing. You can expect there to be lots of people here on the weekends. You can also expect to meet great friends, or maybe even find you a lil boo thang. HIGHLY recommend!
This is definitely my safe space, Im autistic so I have a tough time finding a place to vibe safely but now Ive definitely found my spot!
New to the gay scene!, i love my first experience the bartender in the middle hut was awesome. Im coming back again, and again. new social area unlocked for me thanks !
Great vibes no matter who you are. There is something for everyone! Dance, socialize or just chill! Can’t beat the price of drinks either!
One of the best spots I’ve gone to! Jordan was a lovely bartender. Trevor was such a gem as well! Couldn’t have asked for a better first time going here!
The dj it is not good. He just know how to put old electronic music. He need to update his music. The only reason I literally go is because the blow girl that make the best drinks. If the owner is paying for that dj to SUPPOSEDLY make a great atmosphere he is doing the actually opposite. I never can stay not more then 1 hour because the dj make me BORED AS HELL. Get a new dj or a Young DJ ASAP. He is trash when I say TRASH IS TRASH. He can be for 20 years but he need to step UP………. HE IS ALREADY IN HIS almost “50th” his taste is not the same as when he was in his 20s.
As LGBTQ spaces everywhere seem to be disappearing, glad to have Legends thriving!Great bartenders and staff, top tier drag shows, and a nice dancing space make this place my go to.
A great place for anyone to come and hangout and an even better place for the LGBTQIA+ community. Friendly staff, good drinks, great atmosphere. The best place to be myself.
Legends/Flex is a fantastic place to be. The clientele is great, the music is appropriate, the drinks are reasonably priced. Overall wonderful. HOWEVER, it is absolutely awful that there are ZERO water coolers. I spent well over 15 minutes EACH TIME waiting for water at the bar. Inexcusable. Provide water coolers for the attendees. If anything it will make you MORE money since the bar will be less crowded and people will be sobering up and wanting more drinks. I have been 2 months in a row for fetish night and I have been in desperate need for water BOTH times. It’s shameful and an easy fix. If water is promised and delivered I will change this to 5 stars.
Drag show is good given its not a show from a big city like Washington DC. The biggest issue with the drag show is there is so little room for the show. People block the entrance and it is a major fire hazard if the fire marshal ever wants to see he would def habr to come on a Saturday. The pool tables are ok but major lost income they could put more of a restaurant in this area and have a wall that collapses in. You could have a bigger room that way. The crowd is a bit like DC to liche if you dont have friends in the area people dont really approach you unless you are GQ. They could def make the place a double floor to increase sales as well the dance floors are a bit small. The restrooms could be moved to make more room for the dance floor.
I’ve been going over 20 years off and on. I’ve been helping them throw drunk or rowdy people out just when I’m out partying. There was a time before the pandemic when they were short staff, I even stay to help clean up trash. That’s how much I used to go there. The bartenders told me to apply for a position at the front door, I was told to start date of October 27th.Even told him I could work anytime on call, one day a week would’ve been fine. They told me they were short staffed. Then they waited till the week before and told me they hired someone else. I’ve been spending money and always tipped at that bar for over 20 years.I will never spend another dollar at Legends Night Club in downtown Raleigh. There are other better lgbtqia+ places to go. I hope you have a wonderful day 😘🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜🤎🖤🩶🤍
A new DJ is absolutely needed, IMMEDIATELY!! Ive been coming here for a few years now...the music used to be SO awesome! But the past 3-4 years of music/dancing have been Awful. PLEASE, for the love of all that is sacred, hire a NEW DJ. Were all begging you.
Legends is a cool spot, but they need a different DJ or better music. The DJ doesnt read the dance floor at all, when people are leaving or not dancing it means the music sucks. Its the same DJ which is fine, but he needs to do better about accommodating the variety of patrons who visit. The music literally kills your mood.
All of the comments for over the last year have been BEGGING for yall to change the DJ and to UPDATE the music. Seems like yall are playing to attract a certain crowd instead of accomodating the one you have. The least you can do is get a better rotation and add a mix of genres. And before anybody says it, its not just the cultural, ethnic, people of color that are complaining. EVERY different race/group has made the same comment. Cmon Legends, do better! Ratings are just going to continue to go down. 🤦🏾♀️
Caters to the LGBTQ+ community and emphasizes cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere! Recommend to come out and meet new friends!
Music was really bad. killed my whole mood. had to go home because it was so bad
Place was live! Have to pay $5 an hr to park in the lot and YES its enforced
Ive been to Legends quite a few times, and my experience has been pretty positive thus far. The music is decent and people there are very nice. I recently attended my first ever drag show a few weekends ago at Legends, and it was pretty cool. Even if Im wearing a harness or clothing that doesnt cover up as much, people are always very sweet and compliment me. The atmosphere is pretty welcoming. For a while the music seemed to be repetitive, but that seems to be correcting itself as of late.
Love the atmosphere! Very aesthetically pleasing and friendly staff, but please I BEG. THE MUSIC. let’s do something about it because it’s horrible. where is the flavor? we want some trap/reggaeton/hip hip music. this house music is TIRED. all love tho but please change the music.
Cool spot. Lots of potential. But 18 and up? Wasn’t the vibe.
Came here last night, was super fun! This place is a lot bigger than I expected. The drinks were good, dj wasn’t bad but was mostly techno music. The staff was super friendly and we stayed for hours. Definitely coming back!
Love it! Nice club, plenty of room, a really neat (open air) courtyard and wonderful, FUN drag shows! Plus, the people are really nice, and Im talking about the patrons as well as the staff. Every time Ive ever gone here, Ive always had fun. The manger, by the way, is always very friendly. Super nice man! I highly recommend Legends.I have a shirt (that I had made) and Ive worn it out there before and I love it. And it seems others do too, because theyve commented on it. A friend of mine actually came up with this catchy phrase. I think it fits the Legends drag show theme, perfectly! It says: Some become Queens. Others become Legends. :-)
The atmosphere inside the place is great, but I completely disagree with the Drag Queens show, it is not a show, there is no performance, they just go out on the stage, sing a little of the song, and the rest of the show is walking around collecting the tips from people, the preformance was very bad, first time I went to that place, but I didnt imagine how bad it would be
Great atmosphere with a friendly crowd of people both patrons and staff.
It’s a good club but the music is pretty bad and i think it would be a much better experience if they played stuff other than poorly mixed house. you could barely hear any of the words and it was hard to dance to. idk how they manage to have such noisy music yet it still sounds like nothing.y’all should get a new DJ or allow people to request music on their phones or something, you would have much better reviews and more people would return.i do appreciate the different rooms and seating. they have a dance room, lounge room, game room.drinks are pretty expensive, each shot was like $4 or $5. kinda crazy for standard vodka/gin. but they can get away with it since there isn’t much nightlife around here.also they do close early sometimes. they’re supposed to close at 3AM, and on a Saturday night they closed at 2:20 AM instead. not sure why, but annoying when places don’t stick to their open/close times. That’s almost an hour early.
Great and welcoming atmosphere. Bartenders are always very attentive and friendly.
I enjoyed that they finally got rid of the cover charge to get in. The drag show now costs, which is fine because that never disappoints. I think the concept is great to have different areas and scenes within the same club. However, the music is continuously is terriblerefuse to play current or fun throwback music. It’s all very techno old music that nobody can vibe to. I think if they found better music people would enjoy it more.
This would be my favorite club in Raleigh if not for the Dj. Vibes are always good and pretty spacious but does he really have to techno everything and play the same songs over and over.
Usually I have fun here (hence the rating) but I was there Sunday night (4/16/23) and I guess I was going out the wrong door (although people had been going that way all night) and once I was already on the other side a man said no maam) and grabbed my arm and yanked me back in. Like full on pulled me cause I was already on the other side. Then he said the exit is that way. Im not sure if he was an employee, but he had a black tank top, brown hair, and was very skinny (but also strong). I believe it was a little after 11 in the lobby between flex and the outside bar. If there are cameras it will prove it.
Hands down one of the best night clubs Ive ever been to. The bartenders were excellent, especially Bryan. The atmosphere was great and the vibes and people were awesome as well. The game room was also a lot of fun.
Some of the best nights have been spent here! Can’t wait to go back every time we leaveeeee!
Get better DJs. They play the same music over and over. It’s tiring. Legends is KNOWN for the bad music.
I love this place so much so fun drinks are really good and the people are so nice every time. The only thing I just wish the music was better.
The atmosphere is great and there’s so much todo but the music sucks so bad they need to hire a new DJ and never let the DJ back in the music sucks!!!!I have been going for a long time but after going to other clubs the last few weeks I truly learned that there music is very sh*ty and it needs to change because it kills me and all my friends vibe listening to his “remixes” if you like only listening to half a second of a good song then hearing trash this is the best dance floor for you !
Last night was my first time going to legends. My sister, her friend, and I paid $8 per person to go to the show . For the most part we had a good time, but there was one drag queen in particular that was rude. We tipped every one that came off the stage, but this one came up directly to me with a disgusted and hateful look, took my money, then got on the stage and flipped me off. Im not sure if they were having a bad night or if this was part of the show, but we decided to leave after that, because it was rude and killed the mood. I did talk to a few of the people that work there on my way out and they said they would say something to management about it.
Love it. But one thing I didnt like was that the DJ used one beat to play all the songs in and some Jamaica music to dance would be nice like bruk off you back artist like RDX AIDONIA to let us get lose more true me you would move
I got in at about 10PM on a Saturday. Because I was underage to drink alcoholic beverages, I was given an X on both hands and a wrist band on my right hand. The charge was $8 to enter and the cashier took my I.D. until I was set to leave. The dance floor was dead until 11PM when more people poured in and the DJ played music. There was much momentum in dancing and kissing that you couldnt resist and not dance. The drag show at the view was decent but they could perform better. For the most part they just walked out in their outfits, lip syncing, and taking money. The view also has games and lounges. There is also an outdoor section with a bar and smoking accessibility. I hardly went through any trouble or problems in the club. However, more security could be helpful.
The music here is complete garbage and that’s what would really make the club a lot better experience. It’s so much new music out for all shapes sizes and creeds. But they continue to play outdated house music. This club is too nice to continue having trash music every night. Why are we still playing stuff from 2014 , it would benefit you all to have a dj rotation or an actual music request que.
I was visiting from out of town and it was my first time going to Legends. The people were great, the music was great, and the service I recieved in the VIP area was great! Shout out to Legends employee James Bradley our server, we were a large group and he handled us with ease. His customer service skills and attention to detail to make mine and my friends night special was great! Such a good guy. Will be visiting again in the future for sure!
Music is either hit or miss. Good diverse of music starts around 1. Employees are rude when it comes to service. Maybe they were having a bad day. But theres nice outdoor patio spaces and thats and a game room area.
This place is a fun time. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is great. We have had bottle service here several times and our bottle guy James is the best. Hes quick to respond to our call button and always has a smile on his face. Definitely one of the reasons we come back thanks to his great service.
The staff is friendly & the decor is very nice but the scene is very typical. Nothing ground breaking about this place. Im very technoed out with the music but I understand that theres still a big enough demand for it. Im also tired of all the drag shows. It would be nice to find just one gay bar that would spare us from the constant bombardment of guys that want to dress as women. I have nothing against it, Im just tired of every gay bar I go to there has to be a drag show. Also, my rating wouldve been much higher if the staff would allow the few of us that dont want to watch the drag shows or listen to the techno music the luxury of listening to the jukebox without turning it down or off when the drag show starts. I dont see why they cant close the door to the ballroom & let those that want to watch & enjoy the show do it at their leisure and allow people like me the luxury of listening to the music we paid to hear on the jukebox for our enjoyment. Other than that, if youre looking for a gay bar with the largest crowd in this area, I would recommend Legends. If youre looking for a gay bar thats atypical Id say occasionally Flex but it would be best if you ventured out of the area.
This place is very fun. I love it. I have one BIG concern though. I went this past Saturday, and noticed there was no security. No one was checked for weapons at all. You just paid and walked in. With all the hate going on in the world, I think that security is a MUST. Especially for gay clubs such as Legends. I honestly don’t know if I would come back based solely for no security. Please fix this. I would love to come back, but my safety is important to me. My rating would be at a 5 if this weren’t an issue.
Trevor was so kind and helpful I really love this place it’s atmosphere is so magical!
I was celebrating my 21st birthday and the managers were IDing my friends that were under 21 who WERE NOT EVEN DRINKING!! this happened after we already checked in and got the appropriate bands. The manager was very rude although no one under age was drinking They tried to say that they were acting suspicious but they were just having fun for my birthday. Honestly the manager was rude and not friendly or very supportive, they brought up the case about Pulse and the shooting that happened there but none of us had guns or any weapons, I’m gay myself and it was just my friends and family out there supporting me so I am very disappointed that the manager even brought that up against us. Some way to support the community right. I heard Flex was good though So we will try that next time!
So as a first time visitor I kinda wasn’t sure to expect, we went for Goth Night on the first Friday and we got there a bit early. Our friend gave us a quick tour and I found the place to be surprisingly spacious, plenty of room and the outdoor bar definitely was a focal point of our night making it very easy to find our group. Plenty of places to sit, real good drink choice (I’m a beer drinker and was DD so I unfortunately couldn’t get adventurous). I think the most amazing part of the night was how friendly the atmosphere was and the people, definitely would return just because of the crowd and how open and merry everyone was. Pool was a bit expensive, just sayin’.
Each time I come to Legends, I have a great time! I love that there are specific places for VIP experiences and personal service is always excellent. James in particular went out of his way to make sure my group had the best time we could. Also, hands down the best Jell-O shots I’ve had!
Love the place and people, but for the love of god fire the dj. He has horrible music taste and just kills the vibe. He was playing sad music and then play a repeat of one song for 10 minutes. Literally the whole dance floor stopped moving.
Whilst the bartenders are nice, they are way too slow and there are FAR to few of them for a Saturday night!!! Also Legends needs to stop promoting itself as a LGBTQ club. Whilst obviously welcoming to the LGBTQ community, it is NOW far more populated by straight people...maybe a sign of the times...and no longer a place with a LGBTQ community focus or dominance.
My partner and I are performers, we are currently traveling and from out of town. We saw there was a drag night and decided to come out. There were only about 10? people in the bar. We find the entrance and walk in, first thing we hear is “have you ever been here before” and then this convoluted conversation evolves into, the cover more expensive if you’ve never been here. However this was done in one of the most unprofessional ways I have ever seen, I wanted to walk out. It’s not the cover that’s the issue, it’s the attitude of the person. They were reading a book and probably didn’t want to be bothered since it was a slow night.
Great staff. Otherwise this place has gone downhill. Tonight we were there about 20 minutes before leaving. Music was horrible and just about everyone there looked like they were in high school with Xs on their wrist. Probably won’t be going back.
Literally just walked out after being inside for maybe 5 minutes. The dance floor is closed (possibly because of COVID) but there is no music. There is a tv on behind the bar playing some background noise. You can hear the toilet flush because there is a small amount of people inside and no music. There was Americas funniest videos playing behind the bar. I understand COVID but if they aren’t ready to open back up they shouldn’t . It’s a dance club so how is there no music?!? There already isn’t a dance floor. I will say it smells 10x better because of the dance floor being closed. Hopefully they can come back and have music with variety instead of the techno that they have been wearing out for the last year every night.
Halloween party at Legends just days before October 31st, 2009, I had already drank two screw-drivers (drinks with vodka and orange juice) and after dancing so much to the music that had already played. I was just about to sit down and the DJ put this song on. (AC/DC - Have a drink on me).I thought oh hell yes, put on something I know. Dressed as the blue-men group with a friends girlfriend, I rocked out to this song as it played. God that night was intense.
The club is great and I love the set up. We went this past weekend with a group of first timers. Wanted to show them the amazing drag show we love so much there and a good time so I paid $360 for vip. This was to include, per their vip advertising on their site, two bottles, our own roped off private area and our own server. While it did include the two bottles we paid for and the roped off private area I wouldn’t really call the host a server. Because they’re under staffed there is a button in the vip section we would press each time one of us needed a drink refill. Like all clubs liquor bottles in vip are in a locked case. We understood that. The host was very quick to respond every time the button was pressed and always so friendly. His name was James. I wouldn’t necessarily say he was a server because he was so busy and simply couldn’t accommodate every need we had. For instance one certain bar in the club served food. We were unable to have this food ordered from our section and brought to us. We had to make several trips to the other side of the club to the one bad that served food. I guess we had a much different idea of having our own server. Vip costs at this club are right on the money with all other clubs but the service received in other clubs was a bit more worth the money. For instance I spent a good majority of the night keeping drunk people out of our section. There was no staff to handle that. We had people falling all over the place into our section knocking the rope and poles down. Not to mention several continued to sit on the very small stairs we used to enter and exit the area. It was annoying to continue asking people to move so we could come and go. This doesn’t happen in other clubs. Other clubs are more staffed so there’s usually someone standing outside vip to ensure no one else enters. Because there was no staff to be concerned with our section we didn’t even trust leaving our personal belongings in the section not attended so we had to make sure one of us was there at all times. Not to knock the club and the staff but I just feel like their vip pricing shouldn’t be the same as other clubs when so much less is offered. Other than that we had a great night. I chose to leave this review so that anyone else that’s curious about vip knows the experience we had and my personal opinion on it. James was amazing. He just can’t do it all himself and we get that. But it definitely wasn’t worth what we paid compared to other clubs and the way they cater to you in vip and make sure your area and personal items are safe and protected at all times. Also please note everything in there is cash only which is a huge inconvenience and safety issue with nightlife. No one (at least not me and my crowd) want to carry that kind of cash on them to a club in the middle of the night. That was a bit strange. The line at the atm was outrageous all night and I’m sure the fee was ridiculous. Just seems odd a business doing all cash only. The ONE spot in the entire club that accepted card was the person taking entry fee.
Was literally verbally harassed by one of the workers and kicked out lol
The music is terrible and way too loud... it’s a really intimate spot so I don’t understand why they need the music so damn loud. Could be a lot better if you could hear yourself and others in there. Fortunately it’s an easy fix but I don’t think they care!
I love it here. The people are always friendly and so are the staff. It’s also one of the few places I don’t have to worry about using the restroom since they’re co-ed and have had zero issues.
Great club wonderful to hang out at and socialize….but for the love of god change the music or get a new dj so we can hear something other than lukewarm house/pop remixes open to close!! thanks much love xoxo
James is the best! He likes to make me gag on his shot!! Hahaha. I hate jello, I buy Jello shots from him, he’s always come and supported me at my bar. That’s important to me as a downtown industry person. He’ll always get my business. Plus he has nice hair.
Legends is hands down the BEST club in Raleigh!! So friendly and accepting of everyone. The drag show is the highlight of the venue and you HAVE to see it!! Dont forget to tip ;)
So I’m visiting from out of town, and usually tip a bartender at my very last drink. So I had two beers, went to the restroom, returned to the bar. And the fellow who runs the boutique, says to me aren’t you going to tip the bartender. To which I answered I’m not finished yet. So where is it his business when I decide to tip? Or was it the bartender complaint to him, while I was in the bathroom, that he was afraid he wasn’t going to be tipped. Glad I’ll never be in this establishment again.
Amazing club. The drag shows are fantastic to watch and the drinks are all cheap! The bottle service options are cheap and the server, James, is great! Highly recommend this club for anyone looking for a good time.
I was looking forward to trying this place out but I doubt Ill be back. Went here a few weeks ago and after being let in by the nice security guard, I went to pay my cover fee. Gave the girl my ID, she looks at me and says, I cant let you in, you look nothing like your ID.. Apparently growing your hair out and losing weight makes you ineligible to get past the front door.As someone whos trans, does this mean I have to get multiple IDs? One as me dressed as male and the other dressed as female? What if I came dressed in drag, I need one for that look too? I literally have no other problems with my ID at any other bar in the area, you know the ones that arent lgbt bars or safe spaces, so why the problem here? I literally went in full female attire at the ruby deluxe a few blocks away and they still took my ID...
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. On October 22 of 2016 my friend was down here for our friends birthday. She was sexually assaulted on the dance floor by 2 guys that we didnt know. Management didnt do a single thing we ended up having to call the cops ourselves and file the report. Legends shouldnt be allowing anyone under 21 in either. Itsso trashy how they allow stuff like this to go on. And people being sexually assaulted at legends happens a lot from what I hear. I would never go here if I were anyone.
The drink specials were reasonably priced, especially earlier in the evening. There were two different events/music stores to dance to as well as areas where it wasnt as loud and you could get away from the noise as a break. There were also some arcade games, as well as pool tables, skeeball, and air hockey! The air hockey table was a little odd in that you could play with a player on each side of the table, but that doesnt interfere with just playing a normal game if you get across from each other. There is also a lounge area with nice leather seats and a fireplace as well as an outdoor area for smokers where you could still hear the music.Earlier in the evening, it was a very chill place to hang out and have some drinks and play some games. As the night went on, it transitioned into a pretty bouncing night club with a decent number of people on the dance floor or just hanging around drinking, playing games and hanging out.All in all, its a nice venue with an eclectic variety of areas.
I came here a few times to enjoy the only few places NC have to offer LGBT+ in NC. The moment I have waited 40 minutes; I hear a security yells out Im letting all my WHITE friends in after that occurred they went of for more than an hour letting in only those who pay more than 40. I wish I can say I enjoyed it I felt the comment was unnecessary as well as racist.
I was banded form Legends Nightclub Complex because I told the truth about racism. If you are gay and black I would not suggest that you return to this club. For example they would only allow 3 people in the restroom at a time. I asked to speak to the manager and was told to hold and he will will be with you. The manager and and I talked and his response was what do you want/what at you doing. My response was equality. I’m very upset that the owner would allow treatment of customers as such. I’m asking the mayor to look into this matter Raleigh, North Carolina and Mayor Nancy McFarlane.
One of Raleigh staples when visiting. It’s sad to see it slowly dying. But still fun occasionally. Music gets a little repetitive Mostly top 40. If you go on a regular basis you can easily guess what song is coming up next. Drag show is a must to see.
Fun spot for visitors from out of town on a Saturday night or certain Sunday afternoons. Otherwise, I would generally recommend to spend your time and money elsewhere. Prices for drinks, cover, and membership (specifically, VIP membership) have continued to outpace their facilities and atmosphere. They also have terrible efficiency for entry for non-VIP patrons.
Great place to hang out with your people and have a drink. Love the drag shows on Saturday nights, and the dance music is the best in Raleigh. Better bring cash though, since the bar doesnt take credit cards.
Ive been here at least 4 times since moving to NC about two years ago (All on Thursday nights). I havent had a bad experience. My best friend is coming up from Charlotte for the weekend and im taking him here. this will be my first time going on a Saturday night so im not sure what to expect, hopefully the good streak continues. :)
I absolutely loved this place, until one of the Security , Donald DJ Martinez completely embarrassed me and physically assaulted me because of an argument that we had a year prior unrelated to anything to do with Legends. Im 5 feet tall and I was pushed and pulled around by 4 guys , all twice my size and literally threw out of the club because as he said, Youre in my place now. I was with a friend and from out of town and I was just trying to show him a good, drama-free time. And it was the complete opposite. It was the most embarrassing thing that has happened to me ever. My friend and I notified the owner because it was a complete abuse of power and it was physical abuse. I loved Legends and always spent a good amount of money there but that was a very degrading experience and I will never return if they dont get more professional security that cant differentiate between work and professional life.
I have been going there for almost a decade I think 2004 was the first time. Its changed allot. some good and some not so good. There is lots to do on Friday and Saturday nights and during the week its quiet. I would suggest bringing back the Sunday Drag show and ditching the Gogo boys as well as at least having the dance floor open. The Gogo boys are cute dont get me wrong but I miss my queens and feel cramped considering 3/4 of the club is shut down on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday night it is the place to be most of the time. I run into lots of my friends and catch up on that weeks events. With out fail you will see some characters which is always fun. The club can be a bit clicky at times but for the most part its friendly. In recent years it seems that more straight people have found this place which is ok but remember its a gay bar so if your a cute guy and another guy offers you a drink dont get offend, after all you chose to come to our club. Love the staff and the queens they always make me feel like Im welcome. Drinks are cheap and not watered down.
Well I see the reason why I gave Legends A two out of 5 in stars is because its the only club here in Raleigh so of course the gay community is going to rate this club at 5 because they have Thursday night which is but I guess you can consider it being black night any have Friday night which is white night and my thing is is that we as a gay community have to come together and we should come together to make and get more clubs here in Raleigh being that we are the capital of North Carolina I think that if we are going to be the the capital I think that we should show more initiative in our community. In just our communities that we live in but the communities that we are apart of which is a gay community and I think that we need to come together as individuals to one another and to come together to make a better night experience for the nightlife for the gay community so I think that thats something that all of us need to look into doing so thats my two cents
Ok so this is the most fun I have ever had at a club. we saw a drag show there that was AMAZING! everyone was very upbeat and friendly and you dont get the usual creep you get at other clubs. great place to just have fun.
Absolute trash. There is nothing unique about this place thus you can save your money and go elsewhere. Techno is non-stop, the drag shows are terrible, and things are over-priced. Not sure how people can throw five stars on this...apparently theyve never been to Vegas...or seen it in a movie.
It was extremely lit the dudes were hot af, ended up in a oreo it was great and an amazing life changing time. Went back 2 nights in a row and still as amazing as the first.
Was a good night with my girlfriend for the most part but when I first went in the colored haired woman was verryy rude. I was excited to be there and nervous because Ive never been, I was paying attention to my date and the woman asked me what should I not do, neither me or my girlfriend heard her, she asked a second time and i realized she asked me something so i said Im sorry? And she said Ive asked you twice. Very rudely, I said I didnt hear you Im sorry, and she got an attitude and asked me again, I said I shouldnt drink, and she kept saying ANDD?? as if i should know. Then she asked me if I was okay, i said yeah why? And she said you look... and made a hand gesture towards my face implying i was already drunk (i was completely sober) and then after my girlfriend said we were paying separate she said with an attitude still have we come to a conclusion? So I guess Im not the only one who cant hear.
I liked the vibe and was a place where you could have fun. Though the problem is they dont believe in equal size bathrooms. The guys have six stalls for the men and only one toilet for the girls. Looks a little unfair to me
Trevor the manager is always so helpful & cares so much about the community. Thank you for everything you do!!
Never coming back here. Waste of $15. 9/10 times it’s dead and the music just makes the experience 100 times worse.
Too crowded. Music is never up to par. Old school people either sit it out or dance. Drag show is just it drag show.
A metro of over 1 million with only two gay clubs. Legends coasts by on having a near monopoly on the LGBT scene. Absurd cover fees, as well as a cash only policy, detract from what would otherwise be a really cool place. Seriously though its 2015. Get a card reader like a legitimate business.
I lost my credit card while there and the lady manager helped me find it. She was extremely helpful to me and my friends. I look forward to coming back again next weekend!
I joined a group of friends for a birthday night here and it was also my first gay club experience...it was amazing! Love the drag shows ❤❤ Dedinitely will be going back!
I work Here but even in my nights off I still come in for drunks and I’m not treated any differently than any of our guest - great service is what I’m implying. And the music pretty good!
Legends has remodeled and is the HOTTEST nightclub in the Triangle LGBT Community! The staff is friendly and you are sure to enjoy the latest dance music!
Definitely loved this place came for my birthday with some friends and A very special guest made it so special Katrina Colby , Y’all please hire her back for a show ♥️♥️
Best place in Raleigh for dancing the night away. Cool vibe, good music, and no creepy guys trying to dance with you uninvited! Great for girls night out.
The music there is not really diverse I went on two different occasions and the music seems to only please the Caucasian crowd. I traveled a little distance to this club on my birthday and i could have just stayed in my hotel.
The African American man working at the bar near the entrance was so rude, and kept pressuring people to tip. He was ignoring several people on line for drinks, huge attitude. Fire him or get him some customer service help. I’m not coming back.
Had a wonderful time. Feet hurting like hell from dancing but thats cause the Dj was doing his thing! Will definitely be coming back with my sqaud soon! 😊
I went to this club for the first time last night with my best friend. Beautiful people, wonderful staff members to ensure that the younger goers are safe, and all in all a great experience for us and we will definately go back ❤
Has always been a great nightclub. Have enjoyed going there many times over the years. Nice bartenders and staff.
We are GAY, we want to TWERK. We don’t want to vibe to house music we want to hear Meagan the Stallion, come on now, baby, just…. Do better.
Everything is great and inviting, even the prices of drinks, but my main issue is the music. can we be up to date with the music? instead of being stuck in 2011?
One of the first nightclubs I ever went to. loved it. great drinks. DJ should play more familiar music though.
Im there every weekend it never gets boring. they make damn sure anyone under 18 does not get in and they make damn damn sure anyone under 21 is not drinking. emory and cassidy are gorgeous.
The drinks are made with off brand mixers and the clientele is 75% straight women. I don’t go to gay clubs to meet straight women.
Never been to a drag show before coming here, it was a great experience. Loved the vibe at this place
BAR was supposed to be open 2 hours ago according to the sign... this isnt the first time they didnt open on time.... its the only club in town... so I guess they feel its cool to close when they want being they are the only option...
Really fun place. The multiple rooms can give you bar, lounge, or club feel. DJ is always great and the shows are fun.
Great atmosphere, average drinks. The cover is always annoying and I hate how they add the membership sticker to your license.
OH yeah , oh yeah , regular and love it
I came a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty dead. no one was dancing. the drag performances are fun though
Such a fun and great place!
Ive been coming to this bar forever, and have worked here for years! Its a Bar for everyone! Its a place to have fun, dance and get drunk with your friends.
So many screaming girls on the dance floor. Music was okay for the crowd but I prefer more house not pop
Terrible. Half of the menu they didn’t have. No ketchup with fries....what? And the menu items were clearly purchased at a Walmart or sams club.
Very loud and crowded. Not worth cover charge but nice place to go to there view bar for a drink or two after work without cover.
Very fun place to visit, the weekend drag show is great!
I like coming here but there is no a/c in the middle of the summer.
I accidentally walked it. All men! (Im a woman) They seem to be having fun😊 Great location and parking.
Great friendly bartenders & DJ, management, & drag shows. Love the pop up drag on main dance floor.
In reading these reviews you can tell who got some and who didnt! lol...the people that got some are very positive....the ones that didnt sound like sourpusses....lol
The blonde bartender is absolutely amazing 😍
Great management…Trevor was the BEST person ever
Membership mandatory. Awesome bar with tasteful prices. Will definitely return in the future.
Came in right when they opened. Friendly bartender and a steward to the community. Visiting from out of town and really got a lay of the land. Thank you!
It was cool. I could go back again. Had fun and it was a good crowd.
College crowd, but a lot of fun. Great Drag Show! Loved it!!
An fun place to go
Loved the vibe, shows were amazing and music was on point!
Fun LGBTQ+ club, with a DJ and a separate room for events like drag shows.
Love Legends! Great place to go to unwind. Great staff and safe environment.
Best ever. A no judgement zone. Full of fun and excitement
Best time ever!!
Hay dray here I love this club its so big u could get lossed the first night lol
Cant say enough about the staff and the experience I had at this club. Simply amazing!!!! Thank you
I was a member, the check in person found my name but when I got up to pay I was still charged extra
Where the whos who of NC Triangle thousandaires (like millionaires, but with thousands) go to party....
Best night ever, such a good time!
Horrible music dj what are you playing techno music just play songs
THE MUSIC SUCK! If you want to TWERK! Forget about it!
Best place in town!
We always have a great time at Legends. Theres something for everyone here.
Cool, fun, friendly, lots of activities, and affordable. The staff is friendly too.
You can always find me here, never fails. This place is my home away from home.
I have never had so much fun in my entire life
The bartenders are excellent
Extremely lively and enjoyable.
Always fun. I come here every weekend!
Great place!
Awful awful awful place. Avoid at all costs.
Greatest memories of my life. Please never shut down, ever.
Says it opens at 5 and show up at 6:33 and is not open.
Hours are wrong. Closed at 2am
Great place to get your dance on!
I will be back. The crowd was fun.
No wardrobe to secure your belongings.
Nice place for partying.
Great staff and welcoming environment!
Thursday nights are my favorite :)

Good times!
Best Nightclub Ever!!
Five star clubbing
Fun fun fun!!!
Nice place
Love it
Felt isolated, gay people. There were very close minded and very disrespectful to other people.
Not the club Legends used to be. Early 2000s was the place to be. Not that club anymore. Music was okay. Sound system sucks go back to the way it used to be. Sill the best gay night club .
