Fun atmosphere, but security didnt want to let me in because my shoes didnt have a back strap, which is not stated in their dress code policy. I told him as much, and he argued it was, however in only says casual slides. He did let me in once I proved to him that he was wrong. But then throughout the night I saw several other people wearing similar shoes who clearly had no problem. You shouldnt pick and choose who to enforce rules for, but clearly thats the case.

I have performed at, facilitated workshops at and have also just come to dance at La Rumba and have always enjoyed myself. Parking is all side street but oddly I never have trouble finding a spot. The layout is so expansive, whether youre here to dance or be a gossip hen or a wallflower, theres a room for you. The comfiest, most plush seating scattered in every room. Very spacious. Ample, clean bathrooms. And major plus is its community building atmosphere. You can feel it in the energy of the space for sure.

Tonight we went through a very disrespectful event. Once we arrived, we sat at an available table for four people. 25 minutes later, a waiter approached and stated that our table had been reserved, putting a reserved tag on it. We demanded to speak with the manager. She asked us to move; we pushed back with reasoning but she kept insisting on us moving to a different place. There wasn’t a table with the same characteristics. We finally moved without receiving any type of meaningful solution. We recommend the manager to improve her communicative skills as well as professional customer service training. La Rumba clients deserve high quality service.

Supportive environment for people of all different skill levels. We are beginners and it was a very welcoming environment. A big Thank You to our instructor Rafa - great job!! We will be back soon!

Great to dance, but would not recommend due to the bathroom attendant. You can go to literally any other club in Denver to get a better experience. Went on a Friday night, and Ive never been to a club with such a rude attendant. She was annoyed every time anyone came in and the most unpleasant to anyone who asked her about anything about the things she offered to everyone. incredibly unpleasant experience due to this.Really ruined the experience to have someone who was so rude for no reason at all and was so to everyone who came in. Ive been to several clubs before, and never have I had this kind of experience so I would highly recommend the club switch this person out. Ive had amazing experience where Ive had attendants help me out with stuck zippers or making my night with kind compliments, but this attendant was incredibly rude to me and my friend who wasnt feeling her best this night.A little bit of kindness goes a long way for girls out for a night, and this really gave us a bad vibe that hasnt been present in any other club in Denver. Id recommend any other club nearby because of this. There was also a lot more men than women which made it for a less than comfortable night out.

We went here for a salsa class on a Thursday night and can say we werent disappointed. For complete beginners and professional teachers we were able to grasp the hang of a small salsa dance. A lot of fun even though we were very sceptical at first on what to expect.I recommend for anyone thinking of giving it a go. Go with a partner or friends and Im sure youll have a blast. It has been announced that they will begin opening as a club next week. I never went to the club nights pre covid so am unable to comment on that. Take a look at the pictures to see what to expect.

I came here a week ago. My first club, let alone Latin dance club. Im white with a little Spanish skill. I felt so welcomed here. Truly full of wonderful employees and patrons. I met people from all over the world here. This place is very special. I saw no drama, just people celebrating love or looking for it;) ( I saw many people finding it too lol). The beautiful door girl, I forget her name unfortunately but she is the sweetest person ever. The security was great too. They are definitely vigilant and I appreciate that as I have experience in that. Everyone should come drop their hard earned Dinero here. Mucho amor por mi amigos y amigas de La Rumba!

For years, La Rumba has been a happy place that promotes salsa classes and enjoys musical and cultural diversity, but how do you practice and learn to dance salsa if a new DJ only focuses on playing reggaeton and Punta? Understanding the importance of the crossover of musical genres would be more successful for the cultural diversity of Rumba, which is an essential part of the Latin nightclub. Also, the La Rumba security team overstepped their authority and made the clients leave with shouts. They need to remember that the clients pay for their coats to be kept and have to wait for them to be able to go. Even so, they took me out without my coat to wait outside. La Rumba customers hope they will be able to make cultural music balance a kind and secure environment as in past times.

I had a great time! Came here on a whim while on a date and will definitely be back. The drinks kept going and the dancing was just insane. Everybody in every age group were just having the time of their lives and that included me. Even met some awesome chill ladies out on the patio while getting a little fresh air. There is about a 15 dollar/person cover charge, totally worth it, and they charge 2 dollars for water. Not gonna lie, I felt weird being around so many people after the last three years but it felt good to do it again. Of course, Ill probably know what its like to have a cold again as well :-) I saw another review that said two months ago, from this posting, a security guard pulled a gun on a patron?! Thats nuts but I always give reviews based on my own experience, not others, so...4 stars. If I get a gun pulled on me by any of the staff next time I go, I will adjust the review score.

I had a great time tonight, until I walked up to the bar and asked if they could fill my water bottle before I ordered an Uber. I was thirsty. The bartender said that I was not allowed to have a water bottle in the bar. I put it in my purse and walked outside. The Uber took longer then expected so I walked inside because it was cold. The bouncer did not let me back inside because the bartender told him to 86 me because of my water bottle. It is pretty sad to get kicked out of this place over a water bottle. I would have returned in the future, but now it is questionable due to that bartender. As a bartender in the past, you should want your customers to be hydrated and also it is stupid to kick someone out over something so dumb as a water bottle.

The Salsa lessons are a joke and the instructor Raphael I think his name was is terrible. He doesn’t teach Traditional Salsa that you just want to go out one night and look good on the dance floor. If I was auditioning for Dancing with the Stars then maybe I would like his style of Salsa. The cover charge was not worth the experience plus they had no air conditioning and the high was in the 90’s that. I am better off learning traditional Salsa on You Tube.

This is one of the go to Dance places when we visit Denver every month, Friday is more broad mix including lots of Cumbia, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and a little Reggaeton but it was great Ladies were free!! Saturday seems more Salsa, Bachata focused. We always dance a ton even though we go without partners, and this summer we are loveing the new fans it makes such a difference!Sunday is only Salsa and Bachata, but the dance crowd is more flashy and clique. We did happen to get to dance in a Rueda when we went Memorial Day and 4th of July, but not this past weekend. I had never seen Rueda danced in Denver till this summer, unlike in our Miami clubs, so that was so much fun!Cant wait till next visit, this helps with my fix when I am traveling!

My boyfriend and I went here for our first time for Bachata lessons on Monday nights. If you’re wanting serious lessons then this class is great but if you’re wanting a fun date night, then this probably isn’t for you. We just wanted to enjoy ourselves and our time together and for the hour we were there, probably danced with each other less than 10 minutes as they have you switch partners. Kind of wish we snuck off to the corner to dance together. Even some of the guys were called out for their poor performance which is when we realized it was just a little too strict for our liking, especially on a beginner night.

The ‘beginner’ salsa lesson is a money grab, nothing more than an added tax on the cover to get in. The male dance instructor royally sucked tonight; mumbled into the mic, didn’t do a remotely decent job in explaining the basics, acted like he didn’t care. He just blazed through the lesson, wanted to get his free drink on & plug his weekly dance lesson biz. That said the music was good by the DJ.But if you’re a true beginner tho, avoid showing up here unless you like sitting around watching everyone else dance. Frustrating - this coming from a beginner. So label your lessons accordingly & hire a better dance instructor!

The club itself is awesome, great atmosphere and drinks. However the food truck outside is the real winner here.Denver lacks good ethnic food entirely, you won’t find a good place for tacos unless it’s coming out of the back of a food truck like this one.Amazing offerings at La Rumba Choripan. They have specials all the time and the tacos are the best value I’ve found, yet still being far superior in quality compared to any of the city taco joints, it’s the real deal here.

If you’re looking for the best Salsa/Bachata venue in Denver, CO then look no further than La Rumba.La Rumba boasts a decent dance floor, excellent music, and plenty of free parking in a lot next door.Dance lessons are offered pretty much every night. There is also live music and special events that happen on Friday and Saturday nights. But the best night, in my opinion, is Sunday nights which happens to be Salsa and Bachata night. The cover is $10 and there is a dress code that’s strictly enforced. Must be 21+ with a valid ID to enter. There is an outdoor patio where you can smoke, take a breather from dancing, or simply enjoy the night air. Please be sure to check out their website for dance lesson schedules, special events, and dress code requirements.

I had to tell a guy no to dancing multiple times and he proceeded in an attempt to grab my wrist. My friend and I were a little unnerved by it. Not cool! This happened on Friday evening 05/13/2022. Then another guy got real angry when I politely declined an offer from him to pay for my beverage. This used to be the best salsa place in Denver. Now, post Covid, they think having a live band on a Thursday (with about 15 people total in the place at 9:30) warrants a $40 cover, when they used to have live music nearly every weekend night for $15. :( Itll be awhile before I chance it again.

This is a long standing club in Denver. I am a night residential concierge; and one of my residents asked my about it it this evening. I gave an awesome recommmendation and was thrilled to see they are still open and attracting crowds. I would frequent LaRamba literaly 10 years ago!

Their Saturday Night live music and dancing was awesome! Only complaint is that there isnt enough seating and the dance floor is too small, people spilled out into the separate bar area.

Bad service (non-existent really). Tall young bouncer with a real attitude who goes around taking your drinks off the table without you being done. Wouldn’t even hear me out when I tried to tell him I wasn’t done with my drink or even apologize. Manager as much of a jerk along with their want to be cops!! Don’t waste your money!!!

The first time we ate here was when they were located outside the La Rumba Nightclub in Downtown Denver and we were truly delighted. A couple of days ago we contacted the number that appears in their contact information and they gave us the address of their new locations, one is inside the Stampede nightspot in Aurora and the other at the Goose Tavern on Colfax in Denver.Initially we went to Stampede because it is closer to us and surprise, you have to pay the entrance fee to be able to enter JUST TO EAT! It seems a little crazy to me that you want to eat in a restaurant and have to pay entry, Mr. Lucho, you should take this into account for the future. Then we headed to Goose Tavern, because we really wanted to eat the delicious choripanes that we had ever eaten and again surprise... this time they were not so good. The service was terrible, the bread was cold, it lacked chimichurri, the fries were lukewarm and watery...I know they can improve a lot and once again offer the excellent quality they offered when they were in the Foodtruck... probably when I return to Denver we will try again...
