###District Nightclub: An Unforgettable Experience with Paul Van DykAs one of Googles top ten reviewers, I take pride in sharing my experiences and providing detailed insights. District Nightclub recently played host to the legendary Paul Van Dyk, delivering an unforgettable night that solidified its reputation as one of the top venues in the area. From the moment you step inside, youre greeted by a vibrant atmosphere and super friendly staff who are always ready to enhance your experience, provided youre there for the right reasons. My visit coincided with my birthday, and I can confidently say it was one of the best nights out Ive had in a long time. The venues ambiance, coupled with the electrifying performance by Paul Van Dyk, made it a night to remember. District Nightclub certainly surpasses the experience offered by Belive Music Hall, making it a must-visit for any music enthusiast. However, there are a few areas where District could improve. The private areas take up a significant portion of the space, and the walkway behind the dance floors could be pushed back to create more room for dancing. Dance music is all about allowing people to move freely and express themselves, which was sometimes challenging due to the limited space on the main dance floor. To truly enjoy the music, I found myself moving up to the VIP area behind the stage, where there was more room to dance. However, the sound system in this area could use an upgrade. Investing in a better sound system behind the main DJ booth on the upper level would greatly enhance the overall experience for those in the VIP section.Despite these minor setbacks, District Nightclub remains a fantastic venue with a lot to offer. With a few adjustments, it has the potential to become an even more attractive destination for dance music lovers. If youre looking for a great night out with world-class DJs and an energetic crowd, District Nightclub should definitely be on your list.Im also an upcoming drum and bass producer known as Cybernetics The producer. Keep an eye out for my tracks and join me on my musical journey! @CyberneticsTheProducer (all platforms) Much love to all🫡
No dress code, people wearing race clothes. Jeans and a tee is fine. Red bull vodka and Washington apple single shot were $36 total. The headliner did come out until around 1:15am and played until 3am. So be aware they dont start at 10pm. VIP is worth it for the bar with a lower line.
1st timer here. Attended Cosmic Gate this past Friday, and it was awesome. The only downside, the size of the venue. Pics on here give you the impression youre going in an endless room... not the case at all.Whenever I needed some room, I just stepped out on the patio, which is a huge bonus. All in all, we had a good time.
In my couple of years of living in Atlanta, District has quickly become my favorite club to party at. Their sound and light production is amazing. They have crowd management down to a science. Even when attending a crowded, sold out show, I find that I am always able to move about the club with relative ease. Sure, some of the staff can come off militant but guess what - I have always felt safe when partying here. I especially love the orb lights above the dance floor. The bartenders are always friendly but efficient. My one critique is that coat check was quite chaotic during this past winter season. I don’t understand why it should take 30 minutes (not an exaggeration) to get through coat check at the end of the night when everyone has a coat ticket number? The coats should theoretically be arranged in that ticket number order…
I love the atmosphere of this venue, very very very cool. Im usually not one to give reviews BUT, I saw Crankdat last weekend and the show was INCREDIBLY oversold! Whatever fire code is, yall without a doubt exceeded the safe number. I had to struggle to the bathroom around 2:30 because I was so incredibly overheated and overwhelmed by the amount of people absolutely crammed in there. If this is a money issue, Id have no problem paying a lil bit more for yall to turn down the occupancy, but that was ridiculous. yall are a small venue, account for that.
Paid $104 for 2 people, walked in and there were a total of 3 PEOPLE there at 11pm on a Saturday, they tried to charge $38 for 2 tiny casamigo tequila shots…. I left and asked for my money back bc I paid cash and was in there for under 5 mins and they said no. Totally overhyped, don’t waste your time!!
Drink prices were insannneee.. even for a club. Staff was nice though, and it was spacious and clean. Vibe seemed off, with the regulars being so entitled and pushy. But I came for a DJ that I’ve been following for a good while. Worth it!
Honestly, mixed feelings about this place. If a show is sold out, DONT GO. That being said, I still had a good time at cloonee last night. However, if you leave your spot to attempt to go to the bathroom or get a drink after 1, there no shot your getting back. This place is fun before 1am or if it’s a lesser known dj. I was at wax motif 2 weeks ago and it was great, I could actually walk to the bathroom. Also, completely ignore the security at all costs. I left my glasses in the bathroom last night and then went back 5 minutes later and it was roped off and the security wouldn’t get them for me. It’s ridiculous that time and time again they don’t listen to reviews about poor security and oversold shows, it’s a shame cus sound system and lights are really good.
Great Venue. The last artist I saw here was Westend, and it was a really great time. The GA tickets are always affordable, the crowd is always fun and with great atmosphere, the drinks are not extremely overpriced, and the bathrooms are pristine. Out of all the clubs Ive been to, this one has an unmatched standard which is why I continue to go back.
We went to an EDM DJ concert here. The venue is nice, clean, and we liked the two bartenders we went to. Nevermind that the ticket was for a show from 10:00 - 1:00, And then the headliner came on at 12:40. The opener played for longer than the headliner. I realize that is probably out of the control of the venue. What I am most upset about and why we left only 15 min after the headliner came on is the place was oversold big time and unsafely packed. The pic with the blue lights is on the main floor, standing in a vestibule leading to the dance floor. We could not get onto the dancefloor nor even see the DJ who was off to the left on stage. We paid for VIP because we really liked this DJ and wanted to be able to enjoy seeing them. The entire second floor where vip was, was 2 to 3 people deep at the balcony looking down to the DJ and you could not even see down to the dancefloor. That is the pic with the red lights. VIP was a waste of money.I am contacting the ticket company for a refund and looking into what the fire code max is for this venue. Even if the club is within it, it needs to be reviewed.
I came here a couple years ago to see my favorite DJ and really enjoyed it.Went last night and it was SO crowded you could barely move and security couldnt even manage it, they just yelled at people like it was our fault.Yall are allowing dangerously high amounts of people in.
We are human beings! Not animals!!Ive been several times in this place and never had an issue. Today, I went to see Cloonee. I was coming out from the restroom with my girlfriend and a friend when a tall, fat, and dark-skinned dude from security pushed my girlfriend and me for no reason!!! I pushed him back because my girlfriend had a medical condition in her back and covered her with my arms. But this dude started telling us that we needed to leave the place. We were arguing: why did he push us??? He insisted that we needed to leave. On our way out, he grabbed me from the back and choked me with his right forearm. I told him to stop holding me, but he never let go of me. At a particular moment, I stopped walking, and the other security dudes started grabbing me and hitting me!! I never punched anybody; why would they punch me?? I wasnt drunk to be acting disorderly. We are suing this place. I took pictures of the marks they left on my body and my other friends body.
I used to have fun here but the staff keep hate criming trans people and I cant keep going somewhere that, more than once, has had my friends posting scary pics from their nights out here. Why do your staff harass trans people and accuss them over overdrinking in order to physically aggressively throw them out? Whats up with the hate criming my friends? Weird vibes and I wont return.
I like this place for the music experiences and the lighting on the ceiling. I go to experience music with a large digitizer on the ceiling. Not looking for much else. The drinks have been good, but I’ve only ever ordered two. I think it’s mainly a place for groups—most people come with their friends it seems. And. It feels safe enough. Smoking is outside so inside smells pretty clear.Last great experience was JVNA.There is a dance floor and people dance! It’s awesome. I will try VIP at some point and capture imagery from that POV.
While everyone was amazing, I want to give a huge shoutout to the security called that goes by Miami. This man and his crew upstairs made my entire groups experience extremely enjoyable. He was attentive, kind, friendly, and professional. I point this individual out specifically because he went above and beyond his job requirements. People like him are the reason we would want to return to these types of environments. Its nice to know that whether you want to get wild or lay back and enjoy the music, you can do both comfortably. Its the staff that makes this place what it is. We will be back. Thank you Miami.
Venue was oversold and main artist nowhere to show even at 11:00. You could not move one inch or see the stage let alone “dance” at what is supposed to be an EDM concert. Drinks were nice though
Dangerously oversells their shows. Will literally allow people in without tickets by just paying, to the point of causing a fire hazard of a crowd. Used to be so cool, badass production, but is so uncomfortably crowded it’s no longer worth the ticket.
This place doesn’t start hopping until after 12 am. Parking is 20 dollars unless you want to parallel park on the street but the parking guy said they had people return to broken windows on the side roads. The cover charge is 25 dollars to get in male or female. Redbull is 6 dollars. Bottle water is 7 dollars. Drinks are 20 dollars a piece. There are no barstools and there are few places to sit. To sit after 12 am you need to pay for VIP seating. The music is EDM or electric dance music. No Trap, RnB, or good booty shaking music lolI enjoyed the music but overall this place is a little pricey. I definitely recommend pre-gaming before you come here.
Been here many times before and loved it. BUT went to an event last night and I definitely wont be back for a very long time. We were promised 25% capacity and that masks were absolutely mandatory. Since they didnt use the upper level and no one was hanging out in the outdoor areas, everyone was crammed onto the main dance floor. By 12:30 it was as packed as it ever has been, maybe more so. In addition to that, at least 15% of the crowd wasnt wearing masks. Maybe even more. Being in a crowded indoor space with dancing cheering people ... no thank you. I wouldnt have bought tickets if I had known masks were optional and that wed all be packed nearly shoulder to shoulder. They did refund my tickets when I spoke to the manager on duty. However, I take issue with being promised protocols would be in place when there was very clearly no intention or interest in actually implementing them. Photo and video taken right before we left so you can make your own evaluation.
Had the worst experience ever. A pretend security guard physically pushed us away unnecessarily and very aggressively. He was extremely aggressive and threatened us with more force (even through he didn’t actually work there and was being tipped by a suite). To the owners of district — I’d recommend avoiding having third-party security guards fighting customers that are paying $100+ to be there.
The DJs were amazing and Brendan Lee put on an amazing performance with his light work and sound system A+
Went to see Steve aokie and this worker was literally pushing people to get them to move. Never had a security person ever lay their hands on me like that and literally push me. 5 stars for the bar tenders and the lady in the bathroom. 0 stars to that one black guy with a beanie shoving people.
Went last night and it was dead at first but it started picking up as time went on. The bar staff was nice and made the drinks quickly, had no issue at all on that end. Sadly within an hour of our visit we were told to leave with no ACTUAL reason. Asked a security worker if we could sit down and he said yes, as soon as we sat down within 7 minutes we were told to leave because we were “too drunk.” When asked for a reason we got nothing except “You guys are just going to have to go.” Multiple other people in the club doing the same thing and we were targeted! Probably won’t visit again and would advise people to stay away unless you want to go to a club where you aren’t allowed to drink.
This venue is so cool and they put on the coolest artists. But it’s always so packed you can’t even breathe on the dance floor. Let alone even get a decent view of the artist or near the speakers. This venue needs to either expand or sell less tickets. This is a safety hazard.
Wow, security/staff is stupid here. Completely ruined any type of vibe or experience. You go to the restroom and get harassed by the bathroom attendant for no reason. I told him I needed to use the stall and he stopped me AND REFUSED TO LET ME. Then, he’s yelling at me in Spanish and refuses to speak English (which it’s fine if you don’t speak English but stop yelling at me in another language for no reason when I clearly don’t understand you).Security constantly harasses you to not stand in certain places like right outside the restroom and then if you’re sitting on the bench THATS RIGHT OUTSIDE RHE RESTROOM they ask you to get up when you’re doing nothing wrong. Why is it even there?I can’t believe this place is in business with this type of attendants and staff. If anything, get new bathroom attendants. I understand security is doing their job and I respect that but I shouldn’t be harassed or asked to tip when I want to pee. This is an entertainment venue and this is far from accommodating.
It’s as if they oversell tickets .. be prepared to be packed like a sardine if a big name artist is there. Also dont waste your time buying VIP tickets .. every time we do we are told at the door that that section is closed and then they give you a drink voucher which does not equate to the value of the ticket lol major red flags there! Bartenders are nice and the floating balls on the ceiling are cute but they should stick to realistic ticket sales before the floor caves in
District has done some remodeling recently and expanded the upper area by sacrificing the viewing area for the regular VIP ticket holders. Now if you buy a viper ticket you are crammed in the side with no direct line of sight to the dj. I have noticed them packing people in more in the last couple years.
I really didn’t get to tour the venue like I normally would. I just went once to see Dom Dolla. It was ok. Super packed. Never even went to the bar.
Really disappointed went to see Sonny fodera only for him to leave 10 minutes mid sets. Spent so much money for this to happen. Plus drink are really over priced.
Flew from NY to see KREAM. Absolute beast of a DJ did not deserve such a lacking venue. Sound quality was so terrible I could barely hear the actual melody of the songs being played. If you are on either side left or right of the venue, just forget about hearing anything resembling music at all. Most of the people at the venue are there for a drink and a night out it seems, so that may be the reason why the venue does not care for its sound quality. Worst venue I have ever been to for music. If you are into EDM, dont bother. Also a VERY small venue that clearly oversells tickets.
Went to see Bonobo this weekend. The starting DJ was a local talent that did an amazing job ysheso I think her name was. Great set. Bonobo went on at right at midnight. His set was at least three hours. Haven’t danced that much in a while. Staff and bartenders were great. Even security was kind.So confused by other people’s reviews saying they have no where to sit. There’s an open lounge type area by the indoor bar with seating and there are nooks where you can take a rest near the sides of the dance floor. The lighting is spectacular and their laser show seems to have gotten better than from what I remember before. This is definitely the place to go for EDM dancing.
The security guards here do not know how to talk. They can only communicate by pushing people. I was pushed many times a day. I may be standing in the wrong place. After all, we are not animals, we humans communicate by talking!
I really thought I was finally going to experience a club in the US, and went there happily with my friends. However, little did we know we were going to be rejected right at the entrance where one of us was told to be “too drunk” to enter. Despite explaining to them that we were willing to wait outside until they deemed we were qualified to enter but to no avail. The people guarding the gates were pissed and rude, and even scolded us back for trying to reason with them, when all we wanted to was some understanding and compromisation. They blatantly told the few of us that did not argue with them that we could go in, but did not give us time to even consider. Why would we still have the mood to enter a club happily after facing discrimination like this? The manager came out with a bruised left eye(idk why), and strictly told us to leave straight too without even bothering to hear our explanations, just listening to what the staff told him.We understood that we should not have brought our friend here when she was “too drunk” but, would have appreciated some respect and understanding too where they could have explained the reasonings to us nicely, and not rudely tell us to leave and kick us out. In fact, we felt intimidated being surrounded by a group of tall adults fiercely just telling us to “Get Out of our vicinity”. Really not sure whether they are just racist towards Asians or really in a bad mood. Would really not recommend coming to this club ever.
Incredibly unfriendly staff and was pushed out for waiting for my girlfriend outside the bathroom. Absolutely terrible service, and gets physical with their customers. If they don’t have the training or capacity to handle high headcount probably shouldn’t host events as such in the first place.
Edit: June 2024: I went to Cloonee with my boyfriend, already expecting it be slammed. DISTRICT OWNERS: PLEASE stop overselling your venue!! It is becoming SO unsafe AND NOT ENJOYABLE and your venue is NOT large enough to accommodate the amount of tickets you sell (not including the people that pay your security guards to get into the venue). No people can move anywhere in your venue (having sanctions in the back as a “walkway” limits the amount of space for an already oversold venue). We used to frequent District for the past 4 years, and now we refuse to buy upcoming show tickets, no matter who the artist is. Another greed money hungry “club” in Atlanta that targets the EDM community. Your “VIP” is the biggest ripoff since more than half of the upstairs railing is blocked off, and that is no where mentioned on the VIP tickets when purchasing them. Also, $22+ for a 12oz can of Corona and High Noon is outrageous!! Note to customers: they charge 20% gratuity on all drink receipts..Dec 2022: I’ve been to this venue 10+ times, and always have fun no matter who the artist is. VIP at District always seems like it’s a hit or a miss, depending on who the artist is/how many tickets they’ve sold. The past few times I’ve gone, my boyfriend and I bought VIP to avoid the crowd on the ground floor, since big artists (Camelphat and Chris Lake) were going to draw a large crowd. We bought VIP tickets for my birthday with Habstrakt on Oct 2021, and they told us that VIP was “closed,” AKA they didn’t sell enough tickets for this show. We were given 2 free drink vouchers instead. This was frustrating for me because I didn’t want to be in the crowd on the main floor, I wanted to stand up in the balcony and enjoy my birthday. The 2 free drink vouchers didn’t even cover what we paid for VIP tickets, so we refuted the charge with our bank. For Camelphat, people stood all the way around on the balcony, as to be expected. So last night for Chris Lake, I expected the same. Nope, the balcony was roped off the whole area facing the stage, leaving the sides of the balcony with about 10 feet on both sides. It was super disappointing paying $75+ for VIP being guaranteed balcony standing space, when the majority of it was saved for people who bought tables.I understand the business model of the more people buying tables equals more $$$ for the venue, but it left a scummy feeling for the rest of people who bought VIP and spent their money to escape the crowd on the main floor (which looked so uncomfortable and packed like sardines) and not even having a good view of the stage. The majority of the railing that was blocked off wasn’t even being used, so there was a lot of space that VIP could be spread out more. There was a “table” behind us, and two groups refused to sit there since people were standing in front of them. The areas on the side became too crowded to walk through because of the bottlenecking of the roped off sections. Somebody ended up moving the “table” behind us since it became too much of a walking hazard.I really wish District at least advertised that part of the balcony was going to be roped off for tables, since I, and many others, did not feel like a very important person last night at Chris Lake.
Was entertaining some friends who liked the music for a DJ that was there so decided to give it a shot. We were a little leery at 1st but were actually handled/treated quite well by the staff. (Particularly the manager (Stefan/Stephen), and several of the security/bouncers were very nice/friendly)We had one small situation where the gal (Mar was her name) at the front taking the money and giving the wrist bands got her wires crossed and was a bit rude.. and then some young man was being very loud/obnoxious about anyone messing with her and went into theatrics about it. We just walked away as it was pretty unnecessary/embarrassing.Other than that, the venue was nice. We had a good view, the light show and music were great. We felt safe and everything went well.Thank You District for providing a fun and safe environment to listen to music! :)
The staff at District are more dangerous than any of the patrons. Security is aggressive & violent. The bartenders will charge you twice for an order if they think they can get away with it. Best to avoid this place until they get their act together.
Anyone who works there is looking to rip you off anyway they can. Want to be vip? No need to purchase a ticket, just pay the bouncer $20 a person. Want a drink that actually has alcohol and tastes good? $17. For a single drink. It’s already $10-$25 just to get into the place. The vibe is great , but do not talk to any employees, because service is horrible.
Having worked a few events and attended a number of events here, it’s definitely a vibe. From ownership to support staff it’s a great place to host or attend an event.
My husband went here for the first time for a liquor release party. He had an amazing time. I went here on 12/24/23 with him for the Like Glue Fridays and it was a lame experience. I loved the atmosphere, the bathrooms were nice, the place is spacious, etc. The people there didn’t look like they were having a good time, most people were literally just standing there on their phones. We were there for two hours. The DJ’s set was horrible, it was great hearing throwback songs from the early 2000’s but he literally kept playing the same songs and the songs switched so fast that you could barely enjoy them. 😂😂 Listening to “Two Step” “Lean With It Rock With It” “Laffy Taffy”, etc .. reminded me of being a kid. Going to middle school and high school dances.
Automatic 20% tip for drinks so be careful....$30 tip for 8 little micro shots.....gtfo.its no wonder that very few people were buying drinks.
Says on their website that VIP tickets allowed to access to their balcony “front and center of the rail” but after arriving and trying to stand front and center of the balcony we were told we had to stay behind a roped off portion of the balcony in the corners and that the middle section was reserved for tables. So definitely misleading information online. Would not recommend buying VIP tickets here as the only benefit is you get to be on the balcony but are forced to a corner with a great view of a pole.
I have been here several times but most recently I came to see Charlotte De Witt. I paid extra to be able to go upstairs where I thought I would have full access to the entire balcony but that is not the case. Most of the balcony area is blocked off for VIP tables. Luckily I was able to get a group of guys with a table to let me stand at the rail by their table, so I ended up having a good time but if you dont have a table, good luck getting a view of the dance floor. This place gets way too crowded though and all the previous times I came, I didnt have a good time because of that. The sound system is good. The bathrooms are good. I pre-game so I have never bought a drink here. I park on the side streets for free.
Invasion promised a Bollywood themed night but it was mostly just EDM and just trickle of Bollywood songs. The drinks are overpriced. People smoking and vaping on the dance floor. Security person patted us down without wearing gloves and not courteous.
Attended an HBCU after party and the music, atmosphere and ambience were on point. The drinks were priced just like at any other place in the city. I would recommend District to anyone trying to host a night out.
BEWARE!!! My friends and I went to the district last night and we were targeted by a security guy saying that we were “too drunk” and that either we have to leave or pay him $20 per person (we were pretty sober, just trying to have fun). We were literally just trying to go to the restroom but I guess that’s against the rules. The security guy was extremely rude and cursing up a storm while I was calmly trying to talk about what the hell is happening. We ended up talking to the owner and he allowed us back in, but in the end I felt uncomfortable after the situation. Felt like they have a scheme/targeting thing going on so I just want to bring that awareness. I would’ve put 1 Star but the venue itself is really nice.
Probably will never go here again. Went to three shows thinking they would be somewhat of a good time, but the venue is pretty bad. The only good things are the free parking on the street and the bartenders (nicer than other ones in Atlanta). One of the speakers blew out so the audio is scratchy. The security guards like to push and shove. They tell people to push their way forward with NO room. Not sure if it’s a fire hazard or to make it seem packed for pictures, but overall it’s dangerous. Don’t oversell if you can’t fit people in the venue.
Friday night was my first time going to District Atlanta. Was a nice experience. The staff was really friendly. We got VIP tickets to see Nora en pure, she was amazing, but we didnt see anything special getting VIP tickets.
I went to a May The Force Be with You event last night. I like the location, I like the layout...mostly. But the drink prices... HOLYSHEET! those are the most expensive drinks I have ever had at a nightclub. Maybe I am just out of touch with booze prices at clubs, but my first rum & Coke was $15 using well rum . My Second was $26. Same sized glass, but 2 shots instead of one, AND it was Bacardi, not well rum, but Im used to paying $8 for a well rum & coke, and maybe $12 for premium. Almost double the price. Maybe want to pull back a little...As for the layout, its mostly well done, but access to the patio is restricted to 2 narrow hallways to get to the front to get outside. I have heard this place can get shoulder to shoulder on busy nights, and these hallways would definitely be a bottleneck for moving back and forth in the club.Met a very personable guy named Chris, who apparently helped build the space for the club and is one of the owners/managers.They had LOTS of staff on hand, maybe almost twice what I would have expected. All were very nice and friendly. I guess having that much staff is the reason for the high drink prices.
First time back at District in a while and I was very pleased. Went last night to see Inzo. Great music, great crowd, and very friendly people. It did get a bit crowded deeper into the night but it wasn’t overwhelmingly crowded. I’m a little indifferent about the mandatory 20% tip at the bar. I was writing out like a 22% tip but noticed they had already charged it which kinda caught me off guard. The female bartender with the glasses in the bar behind the crowd was super friendly and made great drinks! Also, these lasers weren’t there the last time I came and they were such a great addition 😩
They kicked me out while I was waiting on my girlfriend in the bathroom very unprofessional I was holding her phone and her wallet so she had no way to contact me. I was targeted as the bouncer let other people wait in the same area I was told to leave from. Will never be coming back
San Pacho was dope! Honestly prefer the show from downstairs, VIP was surprisingly easy to get into.
I have never been more disrespected in my life. Me and my friends were singled out for no reason and were told we were being kicked out. The bodyguard continued to say we could stay if we payed him. Why am I paying this man to stay in a venue I already payed tickets for. When we said no, we got called terrible names and were treated horribly. We did NOTHING to this man for him to treat us the way he did, and the other workers were also terrible when we tried to stand up for ourselves. I’m going to share this experience with as many people as I can, so people stop coming here. Rehire your staff.
Bouncers are dirty, they kick you out for a made believe reason but then ask you for money to get back in to an event you had already paid for. Management is aware of this and act like they arent and wont do anything about it because it is all a pyramid scheme. Worst venue in Atlanta. My friends are a non problematic crowd and have never had issues at any other venue but the first time we go to this venue, its an issue.
Was cool. Had good reasonably priced drinks. Went by myself to see Kill the Noise. The lights that move with the music are a good touch. Im personally hesitant to go back (by myself anyway) because a security guard falsely kicked me out near the end (despite her suspicions it wasnt handled well in my opinion and felt targeted). Tabernacle is better but Id come back here with a friend maybe.
The selling points of this place are: the bookings, good sound, good visuals and plenty of on-street parking. Other than that, feels like an average “herd people in, extract money from them, herd people out” club like you have in Midtown or Buckhead, it even has a layout that makes it hard to navigate when it’s packed. Some of the staff give off a weird vibe. And not always easy to get bare minimum service. If you’re not in good company or not feeling the music, it’s all around kind of a bummer.
Loved the inside of this place! Would have gave it 5 stars, but the black parking attendant was extremely rude and aggressive towards me. After I paid the main attendant, he then proceeded to make me squeeze into a spot and yelled profanity at me while I was doing it. He even turned to the side and showed his gun and tried to intimidate me. This was a pretty rough start. I recommend this place fire that guy immediately, he’s letting this job go to his head
BEWARE!! As others have said, you might get targeted and kicked out the club by security for NO reason. Happened to me last saturday, the bouncer came up to me as I was quite literally doing nothing but standing around in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was VERY rough using EXCESSIVE force throwing me around even though I posed NO threat to him as I wasn’t fighting back, resisting or anything like that. It was very literally physical abuse as he ended up causing bruises in my right arm and shoulder. Please do better and hire some other security team who actually care about their patrons safety and cause no harm to them. Other than that incident the venue has a great atmosphere in the dance floor, the lights are cool and the sound is great hence why I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1…..
This is like a club you see in the MOVIES!!! Went for Nee Years and it was lit best place to party in ATL!
Someone grabbed me by the collar of my t-shirt and yanked me. Security saw and did nothing about it. Terrible
Worst venue ive ever been to. I was with a party of 4 and one of my friends asked the security “do you know where the bathroom is?”. All of the sudden the security whose a little bit on the bigger side, told her aggressively “you gotta leave, you’re too drunk, or you gonna have to pay me $20 to stay”. I come around and see my friend talking to this security and i say “whats the problem?” And he tells me “your friend is too drunk, pay me $20 or yall gonna have to leave.” So me and my party of four refuse ti pay him his $20 and get escorted out of the venue, because obviously he was tryna hustle us to get extra money. We try to reenter, and ended up talking to the manager who said, “the security was just tryna do what he thought was right”, and ended up saying “you guys dont even seem drunk at all”, and ended up letting us back into the venue. They need to train their employees better, this dude really tried to hustle us for $20 each to stay in the venue, because “our friend was too drunk”. i have been to so many concerts and venues and never once has this happened to me. Very disappointed and after that it ruined my whole mood for the rest of the event…
It’s disappointing that I read several other reviews of people who have had a similar experience. Went to District on 07/08/23 to meet some friends. It was crowded but I was having a good time until out of nowhere a security person approached me and asked me to leave with little to no explanation. I asked him why he was asking me to leave and the only response I got from him was “don’t make this hard on me”.
Definitely an experience. Parked on the street for about an hour and a half to go into the venue. $40 for two red bull vodkas that were a half shot each? The music was not good. At all. Then to find out my car was broken into along with 3 other people near my car. How do you have a cover charge for overpriced drinks, bad music, and no security? Get it together. Never coming back here. And if you do go, don’t leave valuables in your car and park in the paid lot they have.
Great atmosphere, diverse music, good drinks, there’s literally something for everybody.
They steal your phones here and honestly I’m convinced it’s the ppl who work here. I’ve heard it from many ppl who had their phones stolen here. We walked in with a group of ppl. My sister took her phone and ID out to show it to the guy at the entrance. We walked in. She reached for it in her back pocket and THE IPHONE IS GONE. We’re not even fully in the club yet at this point…not even in the crowd!! This is absolutely disgusting. Last location it was seen was in 1780 graves rd in norcross. So this is for district, if any of your staff is from this address you need to fire them asap. Had plans with my friends to attend future district events. Will never go back here. Not worth the money you lose…
Great small venue. Limited parking unless you are trying to pay for valet. Bar area is odd shaped in my opinion. They have a vip section. The ceiling lights are the best part.
Went for the Mayor of Atlantas Event. Nice Spot!
Paid 12 dollars for water to be told I cannot leave the premises with the bottle because if I got into a car accident and die they don’t want their branding involved. This was after I told the female security guard I was taking a Uber and would not be driving.
Went to see Tinlicker and got VIP tickets. I dont recommend buying VIP because it was so hot up there and the sound is absolutely terrible up stairs. The sound downstairs is better but not great. It was still kind of hot downstairs as well. Will definitely not go back
I went there last week. Paid a $45 entrance fee at the door. Got my brand new phone stolen not even a minute after I paid the fee. I have seen this happen to so many others. Don’t waste your money and go somewhere else.
The music was good but the crowd and venue itself wasnt. Theres nowhere to just hang and chill unless you pay for VIP, so youre stuck on the dancefloor the WHOLE TIME. The people in the crowd tend to be antisocial and just stick to the groups they came with - the 1st time I experienced a EDM crowd that isnt friendly. Usually you meet at least a few people at a show but not at District. Also, no one was dressing up like youd expect at a rave. Just casual fits youd see in Buckhead. Save your money and go to Iris or the Tabernacle.
I’m a regular visitor to this club for different concerts, but Worst new year party...... paid for a premium pass VIP lounge and it was a scam.... Items promised on the food menu wasn’t there, just couple of fruits, veggies and pita bread which you can’t bite.... there wasn’t any difference between $80 tickets and $160.... it’s all the same when it comes to seating and drinks. Bartenders were really good at mixing fine drinks.... I would say the event management was bad.
Went to the Mitis concert here. It was my first time at the venue. There was plenty of free parking. It wasnt far from the highway. The venue was a perfect size with a upstairs VIP area. The stage is central to the venue and it gave an intimate feeling. Bar service was fast and friendly. The bouncers were friendly. It was a great concert and great crowd.
Music set up was great and the venue was alright. Met a rude bartender upstairs on the balcony floor that screamed at me because I couldn’t hear her over the stage speakers that were right below us. Friend witnessed this during his first rave :/
Came here with a few friends Saturday night. Had to pay $50 at the door so already not off to a great start. Within an hour two of our phones were stolen out of our purses. Met a girl in the bathroom who said she’d had 2 separate phones stolen on 2 different nights; I guess it’s a known thing that happens here. After trying to contact the venue to see if the phones happened to be turned in they just responded very coldly that the items had not been found - no condolences what so ever. Will never be returning or recommending to others.
The overall atmosphere was very nice! The layout is spacious and spread out, the staff is awesome. The lighting and sound system really sets it off, you can feel the bass in your chest from the dance floor and the light show is mesmerizing. Nice crowds, good times and a great experience!
These one star reviews are insane. This place is off the chain and arguably the best club in Atlanta. It definitely has the best lighting and sound system of any club in GA. The drinks are stiff, the staff friendly, and all kind of great events. Cant wait to go back.
Been to this venue at least ten times. Have had an excellent experience each time.Especially when I get a section, I hope as they grow more popular they keep up with their excellent customer service.
PVD was a good show. District is enjoyable but sometimes they shake you down for $100 even though you bought the VIP
Chris & the entire District staff are spectacular, security is top notch and very professional. One of the best clubs we have been able to experience throughout the entire country, from the moment you walk in the door your surrounded by friendly and helpful people.District Atlanta is the place to dance in Atlanta!!
I was assaulted by the club staff and physically dragged out and pushed to the ground. Talked to the police; what they believe happened is this: I purchased what I thought was the best VIP table in the house. I knew the club promoter, and so half way through the show, he took me upstairs to view the band from the balcony. I left some of my friends there in my VIP table area. When I returned there were 2 girls nobody knew who were squatting in my VIP area. I asked them to please leave. They ignored me as they had been ignoring my friends. So then I told them to leave. They did. About 5 minutes later 5 or 6 bouncers grabbed me and ejected me. No reason was given. The police believe it was because the girls were ejected from my VIP table, and were not happy, and went and told their boyfriends/the bouncers that I acted inappropriate or angry or something. So I was roughly ejected. Have bruises on my arms and legs as I was thrown to the floor at one point on the way from the VIP area to the door. Worst experience at a club of my entire life. Im a surgeon, mid-40s, was there with my girlfriend, and I really dont know what to say. Cannot recommend. Bouncers didnt even ask what happened; they just ejected me and my girlfriend. Really, really terrible experience.
Guys, it’s time to forget about Havana, Tongue and groove, etc. This is the the spot to be! I’ve never met such a nice and friendly staff. Everybody working the table sections were incredibly friendly, our drinks were full all night. The lighting, sound, energy is incredible! Thanks guys!!!!
I absolutely love this venue and recommend it over any other venue - but the fact you need to pay $6 per bottle of water is insane
I have always had fun at District. Good drinks, amazing music and people there are nice too! I definitely recommend coming here to see your favorite DJ and having a good time with friends!
District James hyenas is creepy and his manager!! And racist!!! He doesn’t like black people who rave .. (let us live) !! He just stand there like running things but he’s being Pervy . There is a video of him being over aggressive to people who need help . His name is aka beff is trash . Please avoid :( they all fire all the nice people . who do all the work I watched the people who do the most work leave I went back all my favs are Gone!!
We rolled here on a Friday night. What a spot! Definitely an awesome new club that is about to go viral. Upstairs bars that look down over the dance floor with a wicked lighting system, awesome table service and great DJ! Absolutely a must see
My all-time favorite club in Atlanta, but when we were there for Gareth Emery, there were real candles burning in the bathrooms, and the bottle girls in the VIP had to be told not to hold their sparklers so high that they were touching the drop ceiling. Have we learned nothing from the Station, or Ghostship fires? WTH, District?
Beware!! They overcharged my credit card. When I asked what the charges were for, they removed the charges without providing an explanation as to why it was there. Then, they kicked me out from my VIP table & the club. So they’ll overcharge if you don’t pay attention, and then treat you poorly after you call them out on it
I came here for Cassette Atl and had the best time. I didnt drink but my homegirl did. She said it was overpriced for a 10oz cup. The music was awesome and just right. I definitely want to come back. My only bad review is that I did smell weed. But it wasnt overwhelming like some places. And you can go outside so I was confused. They card machine was also down so we had to use the atm that charged a $4.50. Other than that it was great. Im definitely going back!!
This club was a nice try in Atlanta. It has decent lighting, cool bulbs that move around, good sound, but the only thing I really hate about clubs of this variety: horrible flow control. It is 2018; if I cant get from the bar to the bathroom in less than 30 minutes, you have failed at design. Try again and I WILL love you ;) Great otherwise.
Man I really want to like this place is as sleazy and slimy as iris and opera. Its very pretty on the inside but if you know anything about interior design you know this place is majorly flawed because how fragmented every single part of this club is and the staff are pretty rude I dont want to say all of them because there are some there who are genuinely very nice. Also they completely over sellto the point where if you want to get around the club you have to hug the wall and shimmy your way through.
District is always Abbie on a Wednesday night and makes for a cool after hours. Not hood , no riff raff, not rached at all.. I hope it stays that way. The parking is very pricey.. $40 to be exact. Sad the Jamaican food truck is always on point!
First of all, you should be able to go out and able to come back like stamped on hand or whatever. Once I go outside, I have to pay another new ticket which is $50. Super expensive. Also it was Latino night and people are making out inside the club a lot. If you like that, you should go. It was so crowded and can’t even dance.
Really enjoyed this club! My only gripe, the drinks are EXPENSIVE. $30+ tip for a double shot of makers. My advice, show up hammered, party, and save some money on the booze.
I attended Green Velvet at District and loved the sound & lighting system. The lights on the ceiling MOVE - in a wave pattern - its something I havent ever seen before and I was completely enamored by the lighting the entire night. To top it off, I misplaced my ID while there and reached out to the District team for help - not only did they find my license - but they also overnight shipped it to my location since I was traveling for work! Great customer service, great Venue!
Employee was very rude and aggressive as he asked us to leave because we were too drunk but then said we could stay if we sent him $20????Bunch of low life people trying to scam others.
Loved the vibe at this club. Went and saw Bijou and was not disappointed. Good edm nightclub
Terrible experience. The bouncer at the club was very physical & pushed me multiple times. After i had enough of being man handled. I hit him & he proceeded to choke me causing me to almost lose consciousness.
Ive been a few times. Sometimes, its great. However, last night, I was refused ICE WATER. I ordered 5 or 6 rounds of multiple drinks, and was eventually refused ice water when asking for only ONE! I was forced to buy Fiji bottled water. Never been refused ice water at another club in Atlanta in my life. Do they think this Vegas?
I recently went here with a few friends on a Thursday night. This was not my first time visiting. I asked for Ice water. The bartender said they had none they could serve, as I had just watched another bartender pour himself a cup to drink. After that, I was forced to spend $4 for mini bottle of Fiji water. I returned to the bar and asked for a vodka tonic. The bartender starts to pour Svedka and I respond, can you please pour Titos? He then proceeded to call me a pain in his ass because I requested another choice of alcohol. NEVER AGAIN.
Cool venue with great lights & sound. It was pretty packed downstairs but VIP is upstairs and I recommend upgrading.
Atmosphere is amazing, here for matroda, bathrooms nice and clean and lines go by fast, drinks are good and not too expensive, sound system and visuals amazing ! Security not a problem at all, need to come back
Dont waste your time in this place Candela, both djs suck they ruin every single song they play. Go somewhere else.
Excellent venue. Plenty of free parking. Attentive bartenders. Tight acoustics. One of the most unique lighting experiences in Atlanta to put you on the next level. The future of the Atlanta nightlife experience.
The doors open at 10pm, it’s 1:12am and the headliner isn’t even up. They need to helpAudiences understand the time commitment considering who we came here for.
$60 for 2 drinks that taste horrid
Great place! Intoxicating vibe. We went for a mild rave. Danced with a beautiful ethic woman. Dark skinned. Lovely.
The inside of this club is amazing!! The staff is great. The lighted wave ceiling is one of the most unique and cool effects I have ever seen in a night club.
A magical experience! It felt like the music was taking me through outer space :D We went when they were hosting a really good DJ from the UK and it was a night to remember!
Great experience overall. The drinks are expensive and underpoured even for a straight bar/club.
Love this club. The lights are incredible, the orbs in the ceiling are so fun to watch. Some of the most professional security as well.
Cool atmosphere. Huge dance floor. Groovy lights and skilled DJ! If you like to dance its somewhere that you can definitely dance the night away!
Great venue, extremely intimate to see such popular DJ’s
Night Club are all about Sound and Lighting of course DJ is the key.I will give Club District a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I Love the name is the first ⭐️⭐️Although, I have only been there once. So...Stay in tune.
I will never visit this place again. The lady at the door was very rude and tried to charge us extra and not let us exit. She blocked the door and refused to let us pass through and made us walk around the entrance.
Super boring. bollywood nights they play hollywood bollywood both .........they charge you for tickets but no place to even sit. only vip lounge is treated as customers
Place was pretty awesome. I will definitely be going back for shows in the future!
This is how my experience was tonight on 08.09.2019. The management was unprofessional, whoever he was. If you want to have a good nightbetter go Tongue & Groove.
Dj before de main dj start was a joke20% tip add in your check even if your serve is not great ? Tf
Hands down my favorite venue for EDM music. You wont be disappointed with facilities, bar service, and the spacious dance floor on two levels.
Super nice place the wait going in took a second but there were a lot of people so that’s understandable. I went during the Dillon Francis show and had a great time.
The place is great but recently ownership has decided to charge a mandatory 20% fee on all drinks. STOP THIS, please.
Bouncers were so rude, workers inside were rude as well. Had a horrible time
Although a small venue it packs a big punch! The sound and lights are amazing along with a very nice staff. Highly recommend!
Never had a club actually care about their guests the way they do. Loved my first time. Even tho I lost my jacket.
Very rude, disrespectful, and aggressive bouncers. they will literally tell you to shut up for no reason
Staff is racist. They sent us out just because we are brown. Sued them 🔥Scum bags all around
One of my absolute favorite night clubs in Atlanta! Amazing staff and great shows! Will more than likely return almost every weekend 💃🏼
The club was crowded but very vibing. The dance floor is not big but enough to enjoy the night
District is the spot in Atlanta to find the best House and Electronic Music Acts. They have an excellent management team and a friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Do not buy tickets for this venue, went to see Bonobo here, staff singled me out and put me on the ground hard enough that i am now waiting for surgery on my right knee and cannot walk
Awesome venue, friendly and fast bar service with great vibes
Club overbooked the venue and kicked my friends out for no reason. When asked the reason they couldn’t even say. Not cool.
Horrible noghtclub, staff very rude and unprofessional. overpriced and in the middle of nowhere. Better nightclubs WAY better than this one closer to ATL. Not worth coming or renting this place!!!
Safe atmosphere, good sound system. Fun place to dance. Always a good time!
Security might come up to you and say either you pay $20 to stay or you are getting kicked out for no reason.
Fun!
Great addition to the Atlanta club scene! Consistently fantastic shows. Staff is nice and respectful.
I like the visuals and the sound, but the bathroom attendants are unnecessary and overbearing.
I love this club, the only thing that I dont like is that they close at 3am hahaa
If you like EDM this is the spot in ATL it is amazing. The lights and sound are some of if not the best I have seen in Atlanta.
Fabulous venue! Great bartenders and service, extra clean everywhere.
Cloonee blessed this place
I absolutely love this place. Excellent vibes and the bartender Kate is top notch!
Great venue....great sound in a safe part of town. Very cool lighting!
Best night club in Atlanta, just the top DJ’s
Austin helped with parking
Perfect sounds, perfect visuals. Does get crowded but get vip and youre golden
The bodyguards are so bad. They forced us to leave because we were sitting at the bench. They were so rude
Always go there! My fav night club ❤️
Diego is the man. Ten stars would not be enough
Best EDM club in the city!!!
Duck this place, paid money but left us to freeze outside
One of my favorite places to see shows!
This place is trash. car will get broken into take uber here..
Find the short red head bartender she makes the best drinks she cool as hell!!!!!!
Incredible sound and lights! A must see - and the staff is amazing....
Dont come to this place, is very insecure. I was robbed and the windows of the car burst.
Its a fun place to dance and drink
Over crowded
InvAsian was lit. 10/10 would recommend
Bangin ass club. Best lights and sound system. Great time.
All I Can say is This Place is My home.
Brought the whole crew out from Columbus GA it was a great time.
I’m in love with their lights in the middle of the dance floor
Just give it a shot, youll love it. Worth making the trip out of the way.
No security at the entrance .. so easy to sneak a weapon inside
These guys are awesome, they helped me out in a bad situation and I’m grateful
Find the tall bartender. He’s the coolest
Literally not coming back again
Never disappoints and great line up.
Love it great venue!
Really great atmosphere! 🤩
The number 1 edm club in Atlanta.
The best
Best nightclub in Atlanta!!
Not wook friendly.
Aggressive bouncers
Great djs!!!
Always too crowded. Bad vibes and unsafe.
We were pushed for no reason! Beaten and forcibly taken away without having done anything at all, the security in that place has no security at all, on the contrary, one is going to have a good time and it turns out to be just the opposite. They are not professional at all, we are not animals, they can communicate in many ways, not by pushing and hitting for no reason.
Today I was there, I waited three months for todays event with Cloonee and we didnt even have 5 minutes to enter, we went to the bathroom with my boyfriend and a friend and on the way back a fat man from security pushed us for no reason and then all the security came on top of us, they took us out for no reason. I hope the manager of the place at least contacts us, because if I am willing to press charges on the place, I have medical conditions and thanks to that inept, rude, unprofessional security I return with pain all over my body and I really hope they check the cameras from 06/15/24 around 00:40 to 1 am and we have photos of how they marked our body. What they do is really an abuse and even more so if you dont like your job, change it! One goes to enjoy and have a good time and it turns out that we end up beaten for no reason!!!! My boyfriend has marks all over his body, he is not a problem boy, he always remained calm, I was more upset to defend him and they still left him badly injured, I can barely move and I leave you a photo so you can see what say
Do not come to this place if you do not want anyone to break the windows of the car to steal your belongings. They are not responsible and the police never arrived.Dont come to this place if you dont want anyone breaking your car windows to steal your belongings. They are not responsible and the police never arrived.
An extraordinary experience, the best night club in Atlanta
