Adams Apple Bar

Quirky little bar, but entertaining. Easily spotted from the road, not very well lit parking lot, but lots of spaces available! Inside is clean, so are the bathrooms. Can get kinda busy and a little loud, but thats typical of a bar. Wednesday is my personal favorite night, Amora the bartender is the best ever! Highly recommend trying this place out.

It has been 4 years that i have been going to the Adams Apple every Saturday night. The owner Jaye Marie is a wonderful person that cares about her place and her staff and her customers. Michelle is fantastic as a manager and is friendly and helpful. The bartenders are fun and friendly. The bar is clean. Bathrooms are clean. The outdoor patio is very nice. Good music. Ability to talk without yelling. Nice paved parking lot with security. Wide variety of people that are always friendly. Best bar ever.

Came here out of a whim, was greeted by Jerry the bartender and Michele owner of Adams Apple. Music playing very pleasant. It’s a small place with a long bar on one side and 4 high Top tables. Kitchen is closed but owner purchase food for patrons. Nice, feels good to be here

Having met the owner and one of the friendly bartenders the night before at The Hayloft Saloon, my friend and I stopped here our second night. Another very friendly and more diverse crowd here. Great prices as well. Will certainly return, if only to search for the lovely young lady, Evelyn, we met who will be haunting my dreams.

Highly Welcoming bar, I was told by many friends to come here, glad I did! This all inclusive bar is, by far, my favorite place to meet friends. The owner is wonderful and so very friendly. The Apple is a must do on date night. We can go to other places, but The Apple is on my list of must haves/or dos. - Note; the bathrooms here are amazingly nice, cleanest Ive ever seen in a bar.

This is such a great place that I have become a regular here, me and my wife. Good people, always interesting conversation, fantastic drinks, great food and Jay, the owner has become a friend. The patio is wonderful and a great place 2 hang out and talk. Fantastic atmosphere. I highly recommend Adams Apple, a great place 2 visit when you are in Detroit.

I love this place, I always feel so relaxed here! We stopped in basically to use the restroom because we knew it was a safe place. I had a trans friend with me, and the surrounding neighborhood is just not safe enough to go pee somewhere. So we stopped in, and they had food for us to eat! So we ended up staying for a while, and almost didnt want to leave!

Bartenders are great. Karaoke there is fun. Ive never been judged or looked at funny. Its a very open-to-all bar. Sometimes you get to pet a dog. Whats not to like?

Bar is amazing. Tim the guard protects our cars from selfish neighbors. Hes awesome. Tim the bartender makes amazing drinks. He, too is awesome.

Great place for drinks and friendly faces. Jaye, and Michelle, are as beautiful today as they was years ago when I meet them. Bar is clean inside and out. Bar is always well stock. Bartenders even listen to my problems. A part of Michigan, I miss. Thumbs up.💋

Cute little gay bar. Usually everybody in there is welcoming and very friendly (no matter your sexual preferences...str8, gay, lesbian, t-girl). This also applies to the owner, who is always friendly and social with the patrons. Awesome karaoke on Wednesday and Friday night with KJ Karen. Fun and friendly bartenders. Very affordable compared to other Detroit area gay bars.

It was a quaint little place! Enjoyed the drinks and the service was nice! I just wished it had the karaoke as it said in the website. But it apparently only has it Thursday? Still a great time though!

LGBTQ friendly environment/establishment. I am a gurl (CD), have been here several times. Even the owner is a gurl. Easy going, relaxed, casual, and friendly bar. Good mix of gays, gurls, and even regular ppl. Good music, good drinks, good staff, good patrons, and wifi accessible which is imperative for me to use. A good place to relax, chill, and chat with a friend.

Very fun place to go to. Owner Jay is very welcoming and makes the best cream of potato soup every. My mom s used to taste just like hers. Michelle puts together a great tasting soup as well. Gary grills the best brats and hamburger in Warrendale. Just a very nice place to visit any day of the week. Jody, James, Jerry, Tim, Simon and anyone else I cannot think of now are all great hosts. Jody makes the prettiest drinks whether you want alcohol or no alcohol in your drink, she makes it pretty as any of the movie actors pictures on the wall. Nice, nice place. Our late friend Mike McGraw really loved Adams Apple and all of the team players who make it work.

Great bar, great owners, great staff. If you are looking for a great neighborhood gay bar in Detroit, you have found it. EVERYONE is always invited and welcome. Great drinks at a great price! Always snacks or food to enjoy with your cocktail.

Well I love the Adams apple but there was only really one person that I knew but thats because usually Im a daytime afternoon person there and the crowds totally different at night so I didnt expect the same experience as I do when Im there in the afternoon

Worst place ever! smells bad like mildew, waitress never came to our table only talked to one table never even acknowledged us,, its cash only, or use the atm. we had 1 drink and left.

Ive been going there since 2005 when I moved back to Michigan. Have always liked the place and since Jay took it over, Id have to say its one of the best alternative lifestyle establishments around. Wish I could get out there more often... maybe today.

I always feel welcome and at home, love this place. If I dont see someone I know, there is always someone friendly to get to know. Jay and Michelle are the best and the bartenders are lovely.

What a fun place! Very warm and welcoming group. Simply delightful! The owner even came over to welcome us and our dog on the patio.

So, in Detroit on business and was looking for a trans friendly place to have a few drinks. I chose Adams Apple at random and I am so glad I did. what a bunch of friendly people. I was there on a Wednesday night so it was slow but I had the best time and felt safe and welcome the whole time. Thanks

(Luca) Had a horrible time. This guy locked us in the bathroom an grabbed on me. I told him Im straight. I kept calm but he told the owner I had my own bottle so I emptied my pockets so then he says I grabbed him. My friend been going here 4 20 years an they kicked us out. Owner wont back you up unless you bring 24 cupcakes with a strawberry on top smh...same dude then screamed dont touch me, help!!

A kind of old timey gay bar like you rarely see anymore. Karaoke on Friday nights. Patio available. Really just a watering hole but the people are friendly and everybody seems to know everybody. Comfortable. Cheap drinks.

Went and had a great time. It was a little slow as they are just openeing back up. The owner came over and talked with for a while and she was awesome!! Will definitely go again!!

I was here in 2017 and 2020 nice patio but did no one smell how disgusting this place smells like old moldy mop water. It smells putrid. Not one person posted this yet so I will be the first.

Great Gay bar, Trans, Tv, CD, Just a great bar with that local feel to it, nice outdoor patio area. Friendly atmosphere, thu nite Karaoke, Sat nites lots of Tgirls.

Stopped in for a pre dinner beer and chat with friends not seen in almost a year. No food menu here, but they had finger food and the drinks are reasonably priced. Not a family place, as they cater to a specific clientele.

Always the place to go to feel like home. We enjoy the Karaoke Thursdays and the refreshing drinks.

Good place, good drinks ..... Just dont come when its warm outside. Either the AC isnt good, or its not turned on, either way it can be miserable hot inside on a warm day.
