I enjoyed staying here. The room was a good size. I had an event in Jackson for the week. Its a good place to stay if youre looking to rest after working all day. Customer Service was great. You can tell that they are trying to fix up the rooms and make them more up to date. I was surprised! I look forward to staying again for my next event! My suggestions:*The only thing that needs some work is the satellite on the flat-screen. I wish they included a coffee pot in the room with complimentary coffee, sugar, creamer, and of course filters.
Nice clean room. The staff was very friendly. The air was already on in the room so it was nice and cool upon my arrival.check out is at 11:00. They came by letting me know very nicely. There was housekeeping. All in all I had a fantastic stay! Will be coming back again!!
We stayed here the weekend of June 26th. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. This is the worst experience I’ve had at any hotel. We booked a standard two double bed room and paid for our room on Booking.com. Confirmation number and all was received upon payment. We arrived at the hotel, and the property was a mess, but considering the place was $70 a night and it was last minute, we just went with it. WE SHOULDNT HAVE. Busted windows and shady people who hang around outside with their doors wide open everywhere. The check-in process was as usual with a prepaid room, and we received our keys. We go to our room, and it was disgusting. It smelled like mildew and there was something smeared all over the floor, the pillows, and nightstand (We told ourselves it was barbecue sauce and just stuck with it). Sheets hadn’t been cleaned in a while obviously as there was dirt and hair inside both beds and pillowcases. We ended up buying our own sheets later and stripping the beds. Cigarette burns on comforter and pillows. Someone had written on the mirror in paint marker with the date 4/20 (which is what I assume is the date this room was last cleaned). We go down to the car to grab our bags, and the guy at the Check-in CHASES US DOWN and says we haven’t paid. WE DID PAY. Why else would he have given us our keys to this room in the first place? I try to explain we had paid when we booked the room online. Well he wasn’t having it, so we pay again, which was a stupid mistake. Low and behold we were double charged for this joke of a room. After we discovered this later that night, we were told by a different clerk that it would be resolved that morning as the clerk who had originally been there was in the back “boozing”. Fantastic. The next morning we go to get this issue resolved, and the original clerk was rude, accused us of lying, and turned us away. DO NOT STAY HERE! Do not book and prepay through a third party as this place will attempt to scam you! If you must stay, bring your own sheets and pay when you get there! Keep receipts so you can attempt to be reimbursed by your bank like we are attempting now.I would advise anyone considering this place to choose any other hotel in the area. I would rather sleep in my car than stay another day at this place.
My partner tried to stay at this facility and the room was absolutely filthy. The toilet had not been cleaned, it still had urine in and on the toilet seat. The sheets were very dirty and its questionable if the bedding had even been washed before his arrival. During a pandemic mind you... When he tried to speak with a manager regarding the lack of cleanliness of the room the staff declined providing the mangers number. This businesss practices will be reported to the better business bureau. Do not stay here if you value your health.
I think for the price, the room was good. Nice size bed, decent kitchenette set up. It lacked minor things, such as no vent cover in the bathroom, light switch cover, or a cover to hide the wires that makes the door contactless. Not an updated place.
Last night was my first and my last stay at an OYO hotel. It’s obvious that their company spends money on marketing and making their website look nice and COVID safe versus investing in their actual properties. Within an hour of checking in, we left and booked another hotel down the street. Our room reeked of smoke, the locks on the door were faulty, the bathroom door was damaged and look like it had been kicked in, and the management lacking customer service skills. It was the kind of a hotel room that felt like teenagers have been partying in it for a week straight: it felt dirty and unsafe and overall gross. We didn’t even bother to try to get a refund or complain given the reception we received upon checking in. Take your business elsewhere & don’t waste your time and money like we did!
Staff at the front desk was super welcoming and upgraded us to rooms on the main floor because we had heavy baggage. The staff did a wonderful job. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The woman setting out the substantial breakfasts in the mornings was notably efficient and so nice. There were tables and chairs off the lobby area.
The room was terribly dirty. I saw multiple roaches. The walls had been patched up in a bunch of places, and never painted. The light switches were grimy and the cover plate of at least one was broken. There were a bunch of hairs in the shower, one of which was really long over the shower rod. The towels were browning and there was writing and a thumb tack in the wall. The floors clearly hadnt been swept, and the decorative pillows and bed scarves were nasty. And shortly before I left I found a needle in the one of the beds!Making a reservation by phone was a nightmare. Even though we had told the guy making the reservation that we were going to be getting there in about 20 minutes, the reservation had been made for the wrong night and we had to make a new reservation. One would think that I would have gotten my money refunded for their mistake, but I was hung up on multiple times, and finally only was able to get a request for a refund that is not guaranteed. In the morning when I went to tell them about the needle and the dirty towels, they said that I should have made my reservation further in advance, so that they could give me a clean room. If you dont have a clean room you should not say you have a room available. They should have given me a refund for everything, but so far I have gotten nothing.
Stayed here as we were just passing through. Worst experience in hotel ever. Already had to be moved locations. This one looked like they just made the bed with same sheets. They were nasty. Black mold all over the bathroom. Environment was horrible. Used condoms laying on stairs. Was up all night because did the noise. DO NOT STAY HERE.
WARNING: This was the worst hotel experience of my life. We’re traveling to New Orleans from Wisconsin and called this hotel from Memphis at 930pm to reserve a room. Arrived around 2am.The guy at the front desk was angry about us being at his window and put a “no vacancy” sign in the window. My friend tried to tell him we made an online reservation already and he yelled at her. We paid for the hotel and went up to our room. The window was broken, stains all over the curtains and bedspreads, and dead bugs all over the beds. I’ve never seen bed bugs but I’ve also never looked for them. After seeing this room I was nervous and checked and seen many. I am not picky about hotels as I just sleep at them and shower anyway but I’ve never seen anything like this. So I took the key back to the front desk guy and he said his boss was sleeping so I couldn’t get a refund until morning. I called the corporate 1-800 number (5 times now)and the same guy answers and says there’s nothing he can do and if I paid the hotel then the hotel had to refund me. He hung up on me twice. It was 2am in the morning and I was just robbed by a hotel. I called the police because I don’t know what to do and they said they can’t tell the guy to give me my money back. So now It’s 3am and I’m driving down the highway with nowhere to stay and today’s money that was budgeted for a hotel is gone. My mind is blown over this entire experience.UPDATE: we found a different room 3 hours later. I’ve been hung up on and screamed at by the “owner” this morning and corporate said, again, that they can’t help. I’m stuck and have no idea how to resolve this horrible experience.
Ok let’s start by saying I booked this hotel well in advance! I drove from Dallas, Texas to this hotel in Jackson, Mississippi. I didn’t get in until about 4:30am! Nobody was in the office at all! A poster board on the window said NO VACANCY! I had already booked two days! Mind you I’m 3 months pregnant!! No hotel in Jackson was open. Customer service did NOTHING to help me. So from 4:30 am until after 3pm my pregnant self had to sleep in my car in an area I knew NOTHING about! I will NEVER book with oyo ever again!! This hotel deserves 0 stars! Oh and the hotel outside area smelled like HUMAN URINE! I’ve never been so afraid and disgusted at the same time. Even customer service said the front desk wasn’t answering! Well duh they weren’t even in the dang office!!! I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a CORPSE! Let alone someone pregnant like me that was exhausted and just needed a shower, food, and sleep. I pray they get shut down!
I dont know how this hotel has as good as reviews as it does. We booked thru third party and when we got there on 3/3, the grass is overgrown and we saw 2-3 cars with busted windows or windshields, and chairs outside of a few first floor rooms like people were living there. Had wife check out the room before we made a final judgement call. Door didnt seemed like it locked, seemed insecure and toilet paper (or some sort of tissue) was shoved in a light fixture to keep it from moving around. Like that they went to hard wood floors and not carpet. We didnt stay, Felt a little unsafe here. Staff was kind enough to let us get a refund.
Pretty much the worst hotel experience Ive ever had, rude staff included in the morning. When I asked for a receipt the dude go upset with me. Everything in the room was damaged in some capacity, literally, and it wasnt clean either. Also. Pretty sure someone was shot the night we slept there. The grossest place Ive ever stayed as well.
Horrible service ‼️. That this place is still running is a joke. Booked two weeks in advance for this trip as I get here for check in I waited for 30 mins before someone even came to front desk. I was asked multiple times when did I book, which shouldn’t matter if I have a reservation. I was informed after I was charged that they don’t have any rooms available. Which should of been check before taking my payment then ask if I would take a different room. While in mist they put another couple in a room that was already occupied. Not safe environment are even worth the price. Tub was dirty and only had one set of towels in bathroom. Don’t book stay away
The room was ok but there is no hot water. There is tissue in the peephole. The doors and cabinets need touch up. The guy at front desk was rude and rushing. Not accommodating at all. Pricing is reasonable. Good location. Never seen any breakfast. Wires hanging out of the wall.
The worst motel I have been in a long time. The counter was dirty, the towels were stained to appear dirty. The bathroom had a hole in the ceiling where the fan was. The room was to be non smoking but reeked of smoke. The area didnt seem safe. Looked like a run down motel someone with no skills was trying to remodel. The counter help was very polite.
Worst hotel ever !People at the reception are rude. They charge $50 on your card. The hotel looks like a demolished hotel. Ugly place to stay with strange people. The room looks rebuild but not fished. The bathroom is ugly with an electric thing rusted on the ceiling. Was so afraid that I couldn’t sleep. Some elevators are missing..,Looks like a ghost hotel but it is not.Even the name on the hotel is missing we spent 1/2 hour finding it. Looks like OYO thing. My advice : DON’T go there, NEVER !!!
The room I stayed in was good. It was clean and I really liked the fact that it had a big refrigerator and small cooktop if I wanted to cook something. The heat worked well. My only concern was there was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom that looked like a leak from the bathroom above.
Absolutely awful. There’s poop and mold on the bathroom wall. The beds were like sleeping on a rock. The door didn’t properly lock and the chain looks like the door has previously been kicked in. There’s no towels. If we weren’t so tired and our friends weren’t already here, we would have just packed the kids up and gone over to the Holiday Inn Express like we’d planned. You get what you pay for, if you’re looking for something cheap and don’t care about the bed or breakfast or towels or cleanliness, this is the place for you. If those things are important, stay at the 2 or 3 hotels right beside this one.
The room we were put in smelled like someone smoked weed in there. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The tv had no channels/or was not setup properly. The tub took forever to drain after you took a shower. Cockroaches infested the room. This Oyo hotel is not worth going to.
Very very poor and unacceptable. Where should I start??2/3rds of the parking lot was unavailable due to random work vans, equipment and utility trucks.Walls were wet with paint and light fixtures and hotel windows were covered with plastic. The hotel room was not up to my standard by any means and my personal standards are very reasonable.....CLEAN. The bed comforters and sheets had HUGE, random colored stains on top and underneath. The cable did not work past 2 channels! There wasn’t a coffee maker, ironing-board, blowdryer, not bible in the room. There wasn’t an iron on the property AT ALL! And SINGLE PLY TOILET PAPER. 1We were visiting from Atlanta, GA for the Fantasia Concert on Friday and the Jackson State Vs. Southern Game on Saturday. Every other hotel was booked. We searched for hours. So buying cleaning supplies, sheets, disinfectant solution and cleaning supplies was out only options. I will Be treating everything in my bag and myself for bedbug. Honestly... let this be your ABSOLUTE last resort for accommodations in this area!!!!
Horrible! Drug needle found in our room 👀 constant traffic from homeless on the property. DEFINITELY not a place for families! Managenent there is only out for money. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place! We stayed here while living in Jackson during the 2021 winter water crisis, Jan19, 2021, paid full price for 4 nights and pet deposits as well. Left in the middle of the first night went to uhaul the next morning and moved back home to Florida 🌞
This place is past its Glory times a long time ago. Feels like everything is falling apart. From the rooms to the roof, nothing seems to be in decent condition. If youre traveling on a budget this place is okay. We, however, were happy to leave when we did.The bed was good though, and the night staff was accommodating.
Rooms were filthy and I had safety concerns for my toddler as there were no covers over the power outlets and no door locks. They had no phone, no iron, no blow dryer, no coffee pot, no alarm clock, no microwave and no where to hang clothes. I literally had to scrub the bathroom before Id let my child even use it. Our water lines were being repaired at our home so we came to this hotel specifically for showers and there was NO SHOWER HEAD! Housekeeping cupping their hands on the glass looking in and knocking 2 hours before check out, then again an hour before checkout them tried to come in and start cleaning as we were leaving.
Home away from home! This is a special and historic property, filled with old MS glamour. Although we have stayed a few times when the room was noisy because people were partying below us into the wee hours, its a small price to pay for the gorgeous place, great amenities and solid service. The rooms we have stayed in have all had good beds, nice linens, up to date technology and have been very clean.
This was the worst stay I’ve ever experienced and we only stayed for 2-3 hours. My father has one leg and fell going to the bathroom, in the bathroom the toilet seat was not attached and the toilet, bed bugs, and roaches crawling up the wall. The pictures they show online look nothing like the actual rooms. Also the front seat people at the front desk are very rude.
After an easy and friendly check-in we discovered a very clean hotel and a very clean room and bathroom. The coffee machine in the breakfast area with a lot of different kinds of coffee to select from is working all day - this was a real plus. We could not figure out, how it works, so immediately a nice person came over from the reception desk to help us without asking.
Can you even speak to someone in America when you have issues with this property? Charged but didn’t get to stay. They made 2Xs the money on that room that night. Greeted with what looked to be the mafia and an “ I can’t help you” while smoking a Marlboro, maybe a Newport. Which left me and my family to driving 3 hours home. So I’m sure the pillows suck just as bad as the customer service.OYO=ONO. You are better of just lodging in your vehicle during a hurricane with a leak in the sunroof.
The rooms were ok. The management was horrible. They spoke to you like you were a criminal, not a paying customer with choices. I would much prefer Holiday inn or Hampton. Customer care is soon much better there. But it was cheap and right across from fairgrounds. Would not stay there again. Only stayed because I prepaid online.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! Went here for a room for the night. They have prices listed online and then when you arrive they say those online rates are incorrect. We asked to see the room before paying and she had some random guy bring us to our room. Once there the door wasnt locked and no key was needed to enter. Once inside you could clearly see someone was sleeping there because the bed was messed up and the furniture was all in the middle of the room. The guy said he could move the furniture back and started to move the dresser when he realized it was all covered in rat poop! Needless to say we left quickly! If youre looking for the nastiest place to stay, get bed bugs and Covid-19, stay here!
Arrived in October due to family medical emergency and remained until mid-December. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure that we ate, had time to recharge, and take time for ourselves so that we could help care for our loved one. Having a complete breakfast, courtyard to get away, fresh baked cookies, and clean grounds and room, never having to ask for anything. They are truly a blessing. Would go again, hopefully for pleasure
The room smelt like wet dog was the first thing i noticed. But for $50 a night the room wasnt to bad just mad the TV didnt have a single HDMI hookup. All that isnt why i rated it 1 star tho, nah, i rated it one star because in the first three hours i was there, someone emptied the magazine at someone right outside my door and then police was everywhere. First night in jackson MS and people werent playing when they say this place is dangerous. Not really the hotels fault as much as thw location.
Worst place ever! No lock on the inside. Smelled like weed. Was nothing like the pictures. So many very sketchy people outside. Felt like we were definitely in a bad place. We left and spent the night at a different hotel.
One of THE BEST hotels Ive seen around Jackson in a while. Its now owned by OYO, and they are doing a great job of making this hotel spectacular. For the price you pay, you get way more than what you should. Some of the cleanest rooms, the neatest organization, and the best staff. If i could give this hotel 10 stars, I wouldnt hesitate to do so. Anybody looking for a hotel near the fairgrounds, or a last minute choice, or even if you dont have a full $40 to your name, this hotel will be the perfect fit. Family friendly, safe, and cozy. This hotel definitely deserves some recognition by the city. Congrats OYO for making a hotel that everyone should love. I will definitely continue to make this my first choice when I need a place to stay. Much Praises to you all.
Prior to checking into the hotel I requested a two bed accommodation and was provided the request without hassle which was pleasantly surprising because I bought the room from a third party as a last minute stay. The front staff was so service oriented and Brenda was the sweetest thing making sure everything was good.
Great MS location with much appreciated underground parking. Arrival and check-in was fast, efficient, and friendly. The room was clean and very spacious. Included breakfast was well presented and ample quantity. The room price is very reasonable for the excellent location. Unless you plan to spend the majority of time in your room,I arrived at 6.50 and check in wasnt until 2pm (fair enough, people were still in my room and checkout isnt till midday, another thing I liked!), but reception was lovely and stored my bags. I got back at 2pm and had a siesta in the very comfortable room with separate kitchen (even the I only had a junior suite). I also liked the location - its right behind the main drag but not noisyThis hotel is in the best location, I wouldnt stay anywhere else. A few steps across the road are a corridor that takes you to the Dolby theatre, shopping centre& MS. We have 3 young kids & this hotel is perfect. Its so close we can pop back to the room easily when the kids are tired which makes a big difference. Cant get any better location than this.It was our first time in MS, we stayed here for 3 nights, and the hotel was situated in an ideal place as my husband cannot walk far. We were totally surprised by how close it was to everything, the Walk of Fame, Library were 5 minutes walk. It was central to get to places like the MS sign and getting to the beach.Plenty of room for 3 people, location is fantastic, steps from MS. Great staff, very helpful, very secure. Breakfast included which was great and the breakfast lady, Patricia, is a gem. Have stayed there twice now and would not hesitate to stay there againLocation Location! Minutes from the MS, The Stars walk, Dolby Theater and many more things which need to be seen to be believed. The staff from the time we arrived to the time we left was the best on our whole 3 week trip! The breakfast lady if she didn’t have what we wanted she found a way to get it which was great!I fully relied on with this one and I must say its two thumbs up. The hotel was simple, nothing fancy but has the great basics. Location is perfect, its right by MS Highland Mall where the hop on hop off bus tours starts. Library, Hard Rock, El Capitan, Walk of Fame is just a few of its neighbors.I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. The rooms were very functional, comfy bed, well equipped self contained kitchen, excellent storage and small bathroom including bath. The view was of the street, so not much to comment on there. A crib was provided free of charge for our 6 month old sonWe arrived in MS 10 hours later than expected, then after a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport we were greeted by a friendly attendant who checked us in promptly. The hotel is located at the end of a dead end street behind MS - just a short walk through a laneway takes you to a shopping mall then out to MSThis accommodation is just behind the walk of fame. Check-in was a breeze. Secured parking area. A neat and quiet place suitable for families who does not like noise. Close to shopping and amenities. The lady helping us at breakfast was cheery and nice. The one deluxe bedroom is spacious and clean. Will recommend staying there.
We fell in love with Hotel Jackson Fairgrounds I-55. The entire staff, especially the managers, went out of their way to make us comfortable. The furnishings are charming; the indoor courtyard was the perfect place to relax. Breakfast was quite good and tea was a nice touch. The location could not be more perfect - you walk out of the hotel and the Central is around the corner.
I am writing this whilst sat by the place at the Jackson Fairgrounds I-55 Jackson. Our stay here is a short part of a 3 week road trip (honeymoon) heading north to south in California. The hotel is clean and modern. Check in was quick and easy. Free upgrade to a suite on the 1st floor with cracking views of the city. The room is massive
We were so pleasantly surprised to find this hotel, as there are many beautiful hotels in Jackson. As my daughter described it, it has the look of the Anthropology stores in the US, definitely old meets new. Gorgeous! We spent Thanksgiving week here and couldnt have been happier.
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights over Thanksgiving.... everything about the hotel was wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed it for its wonderful decor, charming staff and location right near the central. The hotel has a beautiful inner courtyard where breakfast is served. Overall the hotel has the feel of home, and is very comfortable..
I write a poor review about this hI writeotel 5 months ago because I had a bad experience the outcome was amazing and Im extremely impressed . I do not have a single negative thing to say about this hotel . The general manager has been very professional and has really turned around my opinion of this hotel . We stay here often and would highly recommend it. its also great because it has a free hotel taxi to and from the airport..
You cant beat the location of this hotel. Its on the Walk of fame across from the Theatre. The hotel still has its 1920s charm and decor. It was our anniversary when we got to the hotel and the staff had left a bottle as a welcome. We couldnt fault the hotel at all
There was mold in my original room (room 3162) and in the room I was switched to (room 3160) I was threatened to get kicked out if I didn’t give another $50 deposit to move to another room full of mold , yelled at , and advised not to come back to the front desk . They refused to refund my money after leaving because of the mold. I had my kids with me an my infant baby suffers breathing issues and my oldest son has skin and bad allergies. It was a horrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here.
And make no mistake, this is a budget hotel. I found a discount and paid about $90 a night for most of my stay (a week). There was no breakfast, no pool, and its generally no frills. But none of that really mattered because the Jackson Fairgrounds I-55 delivered on its promises extraordinarily well!
Recently stayed here for the first time and no complaints. Great location and friendly staff. Yes they are remodeling but didnt bother me stay at all. If I had to complain it would be the price of the drinks at the make swift bar. A little pricey.
Firstly we were to meet the free taxi from the airport with 3 min to spare...what a fabulous service as we had lots of luggage. The hotel provided a view on 1st floor which was lovely, the room was spacious and well appointed even had a full bathtub...
We returned last week from a week’s stay at Jackson Fairgrounds I-55 Jackson. The hotel is located right in the heart of Jackson, all staff are very friendly, wifi works perfectly, the bedrooms and the hotel is beautifully decorated, it was spotlessly clean and the roof-top terrace and place area is brilliant to go for a sunbathe. The complimentary soft drinks in particular were fantastic
You get what you pay for! The staff were nice & friendly. Bathrooms are small and grimy. The room smelled of smoke but the beds were comfy and clean.
The bathroom had mold in it and reeked of old pee. Pillows were gross. Non-smoking room was smoked out. Disappointed is an understatement for them to boldly say they’re “renovated.”
What a superbly positioned hotel. Our bags were lost en route and we were really well looked after by Staff and Angelica. This made a huge difference. Also walking distance from metro which makes a huge difference. Fully recommend. Thanks
Beautiful hotel in Jackson. Great location–you can walk to the Library, the Walk in city, El Capitan Theatre, etc. The rooms were nice; bed was comfortable, very clean, nice view of Jackson. I would definitely stay there again
Had a great stay at the Jackson Fairgrounds I-55 Hotel, I was well taken care of, from check in with Mr. Staff and Brian who have a great chemistry together, both have a great sense of humor. Thank you Staff for the quick recommendation for dinner and the bar Boucher. Do not skip on breakfast, it is filling. The Jackson Fairgrounds I-55 hotel meets and exceeds all expectations
Wish I could give it negative stars.Roaches! AC was uncovered and seemed to have mold. Vent had mold. Floors hadnt been swept. Light fixtures with no plates.Management tried to charge me for the room I had already booked and paid for.Dont go here!
Do not stay here the heater cord was cut holes in the walls Indescribable smell nasty filthy was not in my room more then 5 minutes I would not put my 2 year old son down on the floor even though he had shoes on. When I asked for a refund I the manager was extremely rude asked why and when I answered he became very angry and threw the room cards across the office.
Hey,I booked a room online,I came to this place, located in a low class area, nothing is around ,plus they have a $150 security deposit, which is a bs, I wouldnt recommend this place to no one,so I told them to cancel my reservation, and I left, and they still processed my card, very disappointing, Ppl stay away from that place!!!! Its not worth it
Ive put my family here twice and well be back! Check it out. Great location, food and everything. The price may seem high to out-of-towner, but this is the best deal for the area and value you get! Youre only 20 blocks from the beach, free car parking.
A lovely hotel in a great location, centrally to many of the main tourist attractions.Around the hotel are many great bars and restaurants especially the really authentic tapas bar which is just on your right as you leave the hotel . The hotel is clean and tidy and really cool on a hot day .The staff are friendly and helpful.
Great room, if you get the app: great prices, full fridge, stovetop... Very nice! Cash deposit required for those paying w cash not card **WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT CHECKOUT LATE!! YOU WILL ONLY GET A PART OF YOUR DEPOSIT BACK!!**
Not only is this place disgusting but they also charged my card a deposit that I was told takes 31 days!!! To return to your card and it took all 31!!! If you want to stay somewhere sleazy and let them play with your money for an entire month AFTER you check out, this is your place🙄
Top floors not as nice as bottom 2 ! Night management was extra Special, Reservation PEPs got us to first 3 nitez , we stayed 1&1/2 !! No response to million calls for 1 nite refund 😒
We stayed for 4 nights at the Jackson Fairgrounds I-55 E River Pl from 18th August and from the very start we were very impressed with the standard of service from reception to breakfast and the concierge. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Library and the E River Pl Walk of Fame. There is valet parking at $38 dollars or you can park in the car park directly next to the hotel.
We were less than impressed overall with the whole E River Pl experience but this Hotel was very nice and only a block from E River Pl. Less than two blocks to all the major sights, such as the Library, Kodak Theatre and Walk of Fame is all along E River Pl Blvd. The street people characters on E River Pl Blvd get old quickly
The hotel is in a very seedy neighborhood. Seems like it is week to week housing for the down trodden of society. The inside of the room is decent. Stains of wear and tear very apparent. Only choose this as a desperate option.
Wasn’t too clean. There was a sock left under the heater/ac, a bar of soap left in the tub, and a cup left in the refrigerator. But had a good sleep!
Guy at the front desk is probably the worst person I’ve ran into. I’ve never wasted my time to do a review. But this was necessary. The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in my life. He needs to fired.
I was double charged for a room that I rented for 1 night. After a month of calling them several times and emailing bank statements as proof, I still hadnt been refunded.
Room dirty, linen stained, flooring not completed in restroom walls dirty and stained remote didnt work properly and phone in room but not plugged in and no cord so cant call front desk.
Wheelchair accessible rooms are NOT accessible to the bathroom. Open electrical outlets, smoke detector torn off wall. Very basic
I booked Sunday thru Friday for work and I woke up the first two days with BITES on my neck and arms and I tried to get my money back the third day and they wouldn’t refund because week rates aren’t refundable. I won’t be going to another location again.
Website changed day of reservation and charged cc without confirming. When attempting to get cancelled, automated system locked up or froze me. Rip-off.
Checked in, was woken up 2 hours later to gunshots and yelling and the sound of cars ramming into each other. I would not advise staying here, especially if you have children.
Service sucks & the room was nasty. I didn’t stay and they still charged me. It’s been two weeks and still no refund.
Its ok the elevator was blocked because it was out of service and in the back where our room was there were bumbs hanging out on the ground looking to see who can they Rob!!!
Worst place for non-smoker like me, and I try to take a non-smoker room, but the room was horrible, it smells like someone was smoking inside, the walls are dirty, the door, fortunately they washed the blanket but they didnt clean the room well enough and its totally a mess, the worst thing is that you are highly likely to be mugged, go this place only if you can afford a better place or as an emergency
It’s been almost a month since I’ve stayed at this hotel but for only one night which I had booked for two I did not get a refund on my behalf I left at an appropriate timely manner I had been patient until now ....I wouldn’t recommend no one to stay in this wall peeling and cracked up mold of a hotel room with excess water leaking from the bathroom sink
The room was good and I stayed two nights there, for the Jackson State vs Alcorn State game.
It was horrible the rooms were filthy no complimentary breakfast flys were everywhere my security deposit was never received this hotel should be reported
