I did drop in classes for the tail end of the 2023 season since my daughter turned 3 at the end of April. So when the new season opened I decided to enroll her in the Combo Ballet/Jazz class for 3-5 yr olds. She absolutely loves her teacher Ms. Whitney, and also chose to perform in the end of season dance recital which I cant wait to see. The studio has 3 separate dance rooms, all of good size, and ample storage for shoes and bags for dancers. Parking can be a bit of an issue because of the commercial center its located in; right next to a car rental place which uses many spaces, along with a nail shop, coffee place and bar. My review may be higher if the front office staff was nicer. The red head lady with the European/Irish accent at the front desk is demeaning, rude and dismissive. You ask a simple question and you get a sarcastic answer, with a smile, that makes you feel as if you asked the dumbest question in the world. Customer service is not a strength of the only individual whos supposed to greet you. And its not been just once, its been multiple times that questions have been asked by myself or different parents whove all been treated equally as subpar. Im paying to be here, Id expect to at least be treated with at least a bit of common courtesy, and respect. Well I guess I can read, since I typed this out...lol I say that because I was told by the same lady ... youd know that if you read your packet (that was out in August of last year )! A huge WOW!! I give 3 stars because I love hee teacher, if it was on service, it would definitely be 1 star.
We absolutely LOVE this studio! Our daughters have been training here for years. I still remember when I first contacted the studio to ask about class schedules and pricing, the response was prompt and informative. Julie was incredibly helpful and patient, answering all my questions thoroughly and making sure I had all the information I needed. The studio directors/owners are truly top-notch. They are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also incredibly patient and supportive. Whether youre a beginner or an advanced dancer, they tailor their teaching methods to suit your skill level and personal goals. I’ve seen tremendous improvement in my daughters’ technique and confidence thanks to their, and the other teachers’, expert guidance. Their passion for dance and teaching is evident, and they go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels included and supported, regardless of skill level.
Do not bring your young kids to this place. We took our three year old for a class there and the teacher who also happened to be the owner had zero interaction with him other than belittling and criticizing him for not paying attention. He is 3!!! In the end of the class teacher gave everyone a sticker except our son who was devastated the rest of the day. I called to speak to the teacher and received nothing but a rude response which basically implied that my kid deserved it as he was not paying attention. So dont pay someone like that to upset your child. This is supposed to be fun for little kids but instead the teacher turns it into his personal and twisted version of the American Idol. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Whats wrong with saying hello when you walk in? There were 2 ladies sitting at the front window along with an infant baby. As soon as we walked in to inquire about classes the 2 ladies just stared at us like if we werent suppose to be there, we said hello and they said NOTHING! We asked for information about the dance studio and they pointed to their PRICE SHEET, really? My daughter wanted to see the class that was in session so we went to the viewing glass and watched for about 5 minutes. So by this time it was my wife, my daughter and myself were really interested in the studio so we asked one more time to inquire about the studio and AGAIN the 2 ladies (both blondes just to clarify they spoke English) looked at us with blank stare. By this point I was speechless and I said whats wrong with you guys? They looked at me as if I was weird inquiring about their business establishment.
We went with my daughter to see the hip hop classes but we dont like it. First the place was smelling like body odor, second the class that supposed to be advanced was so slow and bored and the instructor almost never played music, and third the woman in the front desk made my daughter felt bad telling that the class was only with invitation even without knowing how she dance.
Our daughter loves her dance teacher, Jackie. She has learned a lot since starting at the school.
