Was my first gay bar in 2009. Met a lot of people, who became great friends. Thats when it was a country bar. They had country line dancing lessons on Thursday night with Sunshine. Used to go during the day. Met Michelle and Rick, among others.

Drinks are expensiveBathroom is tatteredNever enough bartenders during events.Gogo boys are hot, but sporadic timed.DJ plays music too loudSmoking area is a joke.It used to be a smoking bar, but after COVID they changed it to non smoking. Now there is a small fenced off section out behind the bar for smoking with maybe 5 seats and a couple wine barrels for tables. The space is maybe 6x25. Not nearly enough space when it comes to a leather event. Its ridiculous.

This definitely wasnt a country bar. They were playing Top 40 songs from 2000-2010. It was Bingo called by drag queens and then some sort of show starting. The times didnt match their website times for show times and game times. It was very dead. There were only about 15 people there and it actually slowed as bingo ended.The drinks were soda with an extremely tiny bit of liquor added. The bartender actually asked me what a drink I requested was and how to make it. Another bartender didnt know either. I told them to just give me a rum and coke. As I came to write this review, I see in others that Im not the only one who has had this problem. The glass it was served in was VERY sticky on the outside, and I had to go wash my hands. That makes me question the cleanliness. It was a very poorly made drink, small portion, and $8.50. It was an overpriced joke.I really did appreciate the no smoking sign as soon as I walked in. I have lived in Vegas back and forth and I am now accustomed to no smoking inside businesses from another state. That would be my one and only reason to return over somewhere else that allows smoking indoors. That was the only good feature.This was my first visit here, on a Saturday night, to this place to check it out, and it will be my last. I would not recommend.

I was there with my friends, I played with the casino machine and in the end I had $ 15, I waited for them to pay me but they did not pay. It was one of the worst drinks I ever drank in my life. I asked him for a better drink. Bar tender behaved very badly. I am very sorry that gay people have to go to such places with very bad behavior.

I really want to like this bar but I feel like its in an identity crisis. Is it country? Nope - not anymore. Good luck finding any country western night or any country music. But oddly, the decor is all still country and the staff all wear cowboy hats and western-ish uniforms (odd, so what are you trying to be?). Every time Ive ever been, there are drag shows. Fine, I love drag shows, so are you a drag bar? Oh, and the go-gos are usually pretty good. Drinks are a fair price for the valley. Good options for liquor. Marginal selections for beer. Some DJs are amazing, some play sad sets.Biggest pros: Its non smoking. THANK YOU. That alone is enough to get me to return. The have security and wand you to get in. THANK YOU for taking security seriously.

Ive been going to Charlies for years. I genuinely enjoy my experience there and it has gotten so much better as the time goes on. Im usually there either for their leather/underwear event or their Latin nights on Fridays or event on Sunday with the Charlie Angels. During Latin nights, the DJ actually plays good Latin songs which is a huge improvement. It feels like a latin night now. They got great deals, just look at their special sign!As for service, they deliver and slay!!! The bartenders are adorable and provide amazing service. Isaac, JaviDante, Jalen, etc. Just be patient because sometimes they do get busy. The drag queens are KILLEERR! They are hilarious, amazing dancers, and great lip syncers, so bring that tip money for them because they are performers who are worth it.

Jesse the bartender is absolutely killing it!! SUPER INVITING vibe thought the whole place! Great drag and amazing drinks. DJ Scott always playing the hits! Old and new! Def a must come for a safe space to hang out!

This was the best part of our trip. We went three nights in a row. The drag queens were wonderful, the staff was friendly, and the go-go dancers were better than Aussie Heat. It was a good mix of locals and tourists. Things don’t really get started until about 11pm. Drinks were a little expensive, but not too bad. Definitely worth a visit.

Congrats to the new gay dive bar I guess?Like what happened? This place used to be THE place! Now I’m amazed when there’s more than 20 people here. Maybe it was when the dancers and bartenders started sharing the horror stories or working here. Maybe it was Flash being a POS to anyone who isn’t a drag queen. Maybe it was most of the clear liquor being water based or watered down. We won’t ever really know what did this place in but we’ll never forget what this place used to be.RIP Charlie’s, you’ll be missed.

No cover charge, hot gogo boys. I love this place!! Me and my homies used to hit up the one in Arizona like every weekend lol. I want here recently with the crew and my Mom cuz everywhere else was like a $20.00 cover charge. Couple of broke bishes, I know! Anyway. It was around Christmas time and one of the drag queen preformers had this totally rad GRINCH ensemble and performance. My Mom was on magic mushrooms and stoned to the bone along with the rest of us. The Grinch showed my Mom so much love and was chatting it up with her. Was probably tripping her out! lol, but it made my heart warm. Aside from that, the music was great! Kinda housey. Lots of ppl dancing. Killer dance floor. Its always so annoying going to the bigger gay clubs in town and they just play like top 20 greatest pop hits from the radio. Lord, if I have to hear S & M by Rihanna one more time, I am going to lose it. Hahaha. Anyway, awesome place. Very close to home for me and always a good experience. Yall made our night by just existing. Thanks guys!

I would like to enjoy Wednesday night’s underwear night but the dj plays boring music all night sadly. That’s why no one is ever on the dance floor. Play more rap and hip hop and top 40. Make the people happy. We don’t want to listen to edm.

Great spot! The atmosphere is amazing. The crowd is very diverse: all different ages, body types etc. The drinks are priced reasonably, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The washrooms are clean.We were there for a drag show, and gurl do those queens engage the audience. Every single one of the queens slayed it! Would definitely go back!

We love this bar and it’s non-smoking! Drink specials are great and so are the bartenders. We love to visit when we’re in Las Vegas. My only complaint is their web site is never accurate so we have to call to find out what’s going on each night. For instance, today is Monday, Memorial Day. We didn’t know til we called that it’s Drag Karaoke or that it was 2 for 1 drink specials.

This use to be my favorite gay bar/club in Las Vegas until they took away smoking and vaping inside. I’ve notice also since they’ve done that they don’t get as busy as they use to. I’ve asked a few of the workers there why they have banned it, I was told initially it was because of Covid, which makes since. But they told me they kept it because they don’t like their clothes smelling like smoke when they go home. Now I have ventured off to find spots that I can smoke inside. Nobody wants to leave a good conversation with friends to go outside to smoke.

No cover charge at the door was great. The bartenders and gogo dancers were hot. The bar had good drink specials and cheap drinks to purchase. The bartenders were also attentive. I will be back.

So much potential. DJ was terrible, EDM music the whole night. Almost no one dancing with nearly 200 patrons present. Very poorly executed. Playing danceable music would have changed the whole vibe. Underwear theme was also forced and awkward. Adding a sort of beauty contest or a runway display would make it more relevant.

Went there with my family. Although we weren’t the most quiet people, we just wanted to simply have fun. The main drag queen was absolutely rude. She said she was there to express himself. Sure, nobody is a against that but that doesn’t give you permission to insult people. She kinda ruined the night for us. I think she could have handled things a little better here. Also her show was terrible, just moving a little bit here and there. Not sure what the big fuzz is here

Bar tender was asking around how to make a pina colada and a Midori Sour ... drinks/ shot over priced... kinda great atmosphere and music... there no vaping or smoking...Not the best spot for a club to be at. Also limited parking...Lots of potential for this club!!!!

Great environment people are nice and fun staff are friendly. They have great drink specials , entertainment every night of the week.I just read that someone dont like the fact they have a womans and mens restroom. I should start to try and use the womens room in places I go and say you heard about equal rights I should be able to use whatever restroom I want.

I tried reporting about Alexander Harris aka Donnell Harris touching young people like a creep, and they still arent banning this customer Mr. Harris from going to the bar. My friends have also reported similar things at Garage.

I ordered Apple hard cider. They charged me $5.50 per bottle. Thats without cover cost.The cover cost was 10 buck. That drink costs 1.75.The air ventilation was poor. The a/c was weak.Dont go thereRipoff.

Attended on Wednesday night for “underwear night” it was a lot of fun for a random weekday. Busy, drinks were pretty weak. Drag show was ok. Overall a good wednesday night !

Absolutely loved it here. Felt very welcoming and everyone was super nice. Great drinks and great dancers, 10/10 would come here again.

I enjoyed the place when I showed up around 9pm. There was great COVID measures in place. Unfortunately once 10 hit I came to found we were skipped during the walk around with the drag queen, easily could’ve been an accident. What did bother me was that I tipped $2 only to find I was charged $7. Very frustrating but mainly a heads up of the crookedness. Someone must’ve needed the money more than me.

Went there for the first time from Seattle on their regular Monday karaoke night. I got there around 1:45 am, got a drink, and asked the hostess to add a song (I went towards the back of the stage not to get in the way of the performer, but that part of it was blocked off and off access.) She said she was done for the night, told me it was blocked off for a reason, and said no. That wasnt so bad, as karaoke ends at 2:00 and fair is fair.That said, she let other people sing/sign up after me, and only had one more singer lined up, so I felt a little unwelcome. I was the only Asian guy, which may or may not have factored into her decision. Bartenders were really chill and friendly though, so I decided to add a star to this 1 star review. Planning not to go back and will check out The Pheonix instead. Hopefully theyll be different and will treat all their customers fairly and equally.

Kinda OK. Charlies gets going very late so if you have a day job youll miss weekday night theme events that all start at 10 PM. Bartenders get the job for their looks not their skills, if you order anything other than beer or vodka & Red Bull theyll be baffled. Speaking of beer, the draft lines are poorly maintained so youll get gassy, foamy beer that tastes old. Absolutely no guests come in Country/Western garb and youll never hear Country/Western music. The doorman told me the bar is only Western themed because the owner likes it, not the guests. Patrons are mostly mainstream white gay men in their 20s and 30s but youll see a few middle-aged guys, Hispanics, and blacks. But don;t expect to meet anyone new, the guys tend to stick with the small groups that they came n with. No gays bars in Vegas are particularly good so Im giving Charlies 3 stars instead of 2 just because the bar been set so low.

Amazing bar. Im from the UK but visit a lot. The staff are always friendly. Like to chat and the atmosphere is so laid back, the drinks are cheap compared to what you would pay in Vegas, Great place to start the night and most times ive been there has been something on, saw a few RuPaul queens there and just generally really enjoyed myself everytime ive been :)

Great show intermixed with dancing on Sunday night, the only place to be. Wed night is underwear night with free drinks. Always enjoyable watching and also dancing In your fancy briefs and the go go boys wearing very brief briefs.. lately the ladies are stripping down which is nice to have gay/lesbian action on the dance floor. This is the kind of place your mother warned you about. Pure Vegas.

I used to always make Charlies a must visit on my frequent business trips to Vegas. It used to be this no-frills but amazing country western bar with a little bit of everything from locals to tourists to old timers with names like Gus. Now, it seems to have turned into a low-end drag queen performance venue where a conversation cant even be had over the lip-syncing and a 20-something crowd dominates.. That is absolutely fine. Change is the only constant - especially in Vegas - however, I dont think I will venture back to Charlies anytime soon. Maybe they should change their name to Charlenes and lose the country western bar branding...

Loved this bar I did the wet shower contest and got 2nd place but it was worth it everyone was so nice and amazing they made me fill welcomed will definitely come back and hopefully get 1st place next time on that shower contest

This place is not even close to be country. The 2 Jamesons I got taste watered down. The staff spent the 2.5 hrs I was there asking for donations to some charity.Not at all what it was advertised as. However, if you like drag, bingo, mixed well drinks, and an older crowd.... this is your place

Such a great time. We went on a Monday and it was pretty empty but still a fantastic vibe and time. I loved seeing people being their true selves without any worry. Refreshing

Im holding my 1st Event in Las Vegas for single Gay Men Seeking LTR and called this place to see if we could have a t-dance there for 50+ Gay men. After several emails & calls to contact Jeff (manager I think), its like they couldnt even be bothered with finding out what I was calling for? So I took my business elsewhere and I would suggest that anyone in the Gay Community do the same!

We come here often, staff of Charlies is hands down the best in Las Vegas. Best watering hole out here. Comfortable, community strong. Always a great time, meeting new faces, and daily, weekend patrons.

Cool bar but don’t order drinks here. The bartenders don’t know anything other then rum and coke. VERY WEAK DRINKS!. I didn’t even get halfway through my drink... a cup full of juice. Bartenders are cute and clueless.

First time here did have a good time. loved the drag show and music was lit.

I have always had a great time at Charlies Vegas. Its has a lot of shows, hot Go-Go Dancers and always has something going on. Cant wait for my next trip to Vegas to get out to Charlies.

I use to go to Charlies Years ago but now the music sucks. and half the dancers must be straight because they dont know how to dance for gay men. No wonder they dont get the tips they use to get. I have not been to Charlies in Months and neither have my friends. Like most of the Gay bars in Vegas they have all become Tourist Bars and cater to the Tourists. Unlike The Garage who know how to treat locals and keep them coming back for more.

So I took a taxi here an arrived at 1:30 Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and they said they had done last call and the registers were closed. Hours posted till 5am. Not cool

We dont normally go to a country bar but Fridays are FUN!Drinks are genoerous and cheap served by by hunky bartenders (Matt is a hottie) with good current DJs.There is a drag show and it is GREAT. NOT like you tgink but real talent and free giveaways too... if you like it enough to run to the dance floor and get it.Cute guys both locals and visitors.Really, if you are in town for a night or you live here it is a kewl place to spend a couple hours.It begins to get bisy around 10.

It was good expect. My finger started bleeding bc of a chair and there wasnt any soap in the mens bathroom. I wanted to wash my hands and I could not even ask someone to refill that. Unsanitary.

This gay bar is the place to be if you dont like the usual pretentious ones. Ralaxed, line dancing, cheap drinks and friendly staff. A must if you are in Vegas

Beware of parking across the street from Charlies at the Arville shopping center. Charlies staff will call the towing company and have your car impounded costing you $300 to release your vehicle. Charlies has reach a new low making a cut from each customer they report and tow!

Deceptive. 3 for 1 drinks on Sunday but they charge 3 drinks for the price of one. Paid 33 dollars for 3 drinks. 3 for 1 my ass.

Very friendly welcome even though my English was very bad. The waiter was very attentive in serving me a drink. I went there on a Wednesday for the underpants evenings.
