Local queer-owned space that caters to all identities and hosts several events including multiple drag shows, Lexingtons only lesbian night including burlesque, and tons of queer-friendly performance art events. It can get very packed very quickly after 9pm on weekends and for special events, so be warned if youre not a fan of jutting up against others! There is a thriving scene of regulars who are welcoming and excellent. The bathrooms are a little weird, but hey, its a bit of a dive. Definitely a great place to visit if youre coming in from out of town! Or even if youre here! Pop in to see a show and bring those tipping dollars!
I come to Lexington once every couple years. Didn’t have a bad experience but I did have a concern on my recent visit. First I will say the staff was friendly, drinks were good, and didn’t feel over charged. The bar tenders were attentive. That being said here is the issue that is unacceptable. Customers were buying bartenders drinks and they were drinking on the job. Bartenders need to be sober on the job to assure they aren’t over serving, and for a wide variety of safety reasons.I can say they didn’t show signs of being overly intoxicated, acting a fool and so on…to be fair. But it turned me off from staying and I left early. If their drinking did get worse, I wasn’t around to see it. Drinking aside they were nice, warm, and friendly. But that doesn’t mean they should be drinking.
Very easy to get drunk at this bar. But too loud most the time and on top of that, Ive been here now about five times and just no one really talks or is willing to talk honestly. That includes the bartenders. I also find it annoying that if youre going to be closed at random times you should put a sign on your door at least but it happens a lot and they really dont give any kind of notice
Good place for good drinks, play some pool, watch some performances or karaoke and munch on some snacks.
We stopped in Sunday night after the Railbird Festival. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat. The bartenders Seth & Paul were friendly and efficient. Both were excellent conversationalist and made us feel so welcome. Seth took the time to tell me all about the place and the owners who werent there when we came in. I shared some things that my daughter and I have dealt with in the past and our upcoming trip to Chicago for Pride. He shared some personal anecdotes that lifted my spirits and eased some of my anxieties. This stranger took time to make a genuine connection and openly shared personal experiences. I cant express enough how great Seth is. Big shout out to the owners for taking the chance on someone with no bartending experience. You did your business a great service hiring him. I highly recommend Crossings Lexington and will be back when I am in the city.
My partner and I have been going to Crossings a couple times a week for the last year and cannot imagine our lives without this place. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. Great drag. What else could you possibly want?
Love this place ❤️❤️ very accepting and encouraging to everyone! Amazing vibes and very reasonably priced drinks. Ill be here every single time Im passing through Lexington.
They actually will make a real cocktail and will use glass.
Awful, a dump from the 80,s a place that time passed by. Unpleasant and miserable bartenders that seem to hate their job and their customers.bartenders are mostly old queens who think they are still divas of some sort. Last week I was visiting Lexington where I went to UK 40 years ago, I was excited about revisiting and reliving old memories .. I went to crossings for several days where I noticed the above observations and on my last night a bitter, angry and hostile older, bold, overweight and short bartender barks at me ;what can I do for you?? I said you should always say good evening that’s when he shot back : why???
The bar itself is ok, nice bartenders. My problem is when we visited on a road trip, my partner had his $350 jacket stolen from what we heard was a regular who was drunk. We called more times than we can count, to only have one single response. We tried calling several more times and no one ever wants to pick up or return calls at any time of the day, weve left many messages. The lack of communication from the ownership is very unprofessional. Its been almost 3 weeks, now were forced to take things into our own hands and contact the authorities. Very disappointed!
Bartenders are very rude. They pulled a lot of local drag that raised money for charity for no reason. No parking. This bar is only in it for money, not for the LGBT community.
I’ve been coming here since I was 21 and it’s always felt like a big family. (Cheers theme song plays softly in background.) Crossings has been a strong staple in Lexington’s LGBTQ community it’s for a long time! Great drinks and good times to be had by all!
Spent $70 here the night before came back and paid to play pool. Was rudely asked by the bartender to leave because we didn’t want to have a drink, even though we paid to pool. We were only there for 20 minutes. We were about to get drinks and then that happened.
Seth was awesome! Great service, very friendly, definitely recommend coming here! Absolutely love crossing.
The best bar anywhere! Hands down!!
I was told by one of the regulars that I should have died in the gas chambers with my relatives. I feel unsafe going back as a Jewish person. The owners did absolutely nothing about it. Good luck.
Kevin the bartender gave me some great advice after he found out I was there to drowned my sorrows over the 10 year anniversary of my sons death. I made a friend, a truly fabulous place. Tuesday karaoke is awesome with dj Rob as well.
Shoutout to Seth! Probably the best bartender I’ve ever had. Thank you for everything!
This place is my haunt. I love this place, its where i go to chill for a beer after working. Is relatively diverse, for Lexington. Cheap beer pitchers. Lots of events. Fun guys there, most all nights
Small space for Dance floor, but can hold 20 to 25 people at a time. Got upstairs area too!Great place to drink, dance and chill.
Nice little gay hole in the war. Very relaxed. Nice place to just chill and feel comfortable being yourself. Wish it were a little bigger but dont we all.
Never have been in there per say- but was passing it this sunday and noticed a drag show through the window! Didnt have enough money to attend then but definitely going to be going here later on with my friend! Maybe we can catch a show
New owners have no idea how to treat customers. Understaffed even with owner behind the bar who ignores you. If you tell them they ignore and dissatisfied they tell you to leave instead of apologizing and trying to make it right. Better spend you money someplace else
My absolute favorite bar in Lexington. So welcoming and kind. Fun atmosphere with fun regulars. 10/10
I read in the review that the ice machine just had its quincenera. i’m interested to hear about its sweet 16 party. please respond with party invite.
This place was so much fun! The bartender was great, and the clientele was awesome. The kids from Oz hope to come back there soon!
Absolutely love Crossing Lexington!! Seth was the best! Great service and very friendly! Definitely recommend coming here!!
Went for Sunday piano bar. A lot of fun plus hearing local vocal talent was great!! Friendly staff!!
Chill bar to go and play pool with reasonably priced drinks. Tuesday karaoke nights are great.
My favorite bar in Kentucky. Very friendly staff and customers.
Had a blast and everyone is so nice!!! Can’t say enough good about this place!! Wish there were more leather nights tho lol
I am living for the Ice Makers baby shower/Sweet 16! Dates, literally, blocked out in my calendar to celebrate this queen! 👑
The owner is extremely rude and often will ignore you if your not a regular , however the other staff and extremely friendly and helpful. This place has gone downhill after the new owners took over
Great bar, no lock on bathroom little privacy, great vibe, good service, cheap drinks, good music, great drag, nice smoking patio.
Will not serve you if you are female or with females. Overall majorly misogynistic. Consider other bars nearby.
Small. Cozy. Friendly. It is nice to just chill at Crossings. Play a little pool. Grab a pitcher. Trust me. 😁
Aside from the heffer grazing at the bar on popcorn like it was his last meal. It was a confection of pleasant hysteria and shameful old men. JD
Owner bans you if you don’t tip bartender (careful)
First time visiting. They love to Roscoe the rescue dog. Appreciated
The best place in lex to meet other guys in the community in a judgment-free environment
I have to say from the out side it had a vibe to it that would just have a person relaxed and to be able to have fun also!!!!❤❤❤❤❤😀😀😀😀😀❤❤❤❤❤😀😀😀😀😀
Awesome gay bar. Here for a convention and had an absolute blast here!
Im from out of town and had a great time tonight at Crossings!
Tragic tiny dump with major identity issues. Avoid at all cost! Not gay friendly.
Nice local establishment
Reasonable drink prices and a good atmosphere
It was Derby day, I had a few drinks. Lolol 😎😎
Real, relaxed, and sometimes a little raunchy. What it should be.
Fun place to hang. Cheers for queers
Happy New year 2017
Best place in town.
Good people
