The Bar Complex

It had been over 10 years since I last visited and well....... Not that impressed 😔 only 1 performer was entertaining! One of the entertainers who was pretty up in years didnt even know the words to the music she was performing to! The other Entertainer that was performing look like she had pulled her wig out of a garbage can! And the male entertainer was not attractive in the least! The only Entertainer in which we enjoyed was Lilo! The staff was friendly but I guess because it was a Thursday night the bar was near dead.

This is literally my safe place the few times that I get out. The crowd is always so loving and inspiring and the Kings and Queens are SENSATIONAL.

Me n my bf n good friends went there yrs, yrs ago. We all just drink the drinks. We all had fun. Ty for that night.

The bar atmosphere was so nice and fun but the very rude security guard needed a reality check, snapped at me when not giving back the correct change & rude about it. I am a visitor but experiencing a place with awful service definitely ruined the atmosphere.

Love it here! Favorite place to go on the weekends! Shows are always on point and everyone is friendly :)

I have patronize this business in the past many times, many years ago. It was a very great place to go. I have been away for sometime several years . What kind of bar has no stools around the bar? I don’t know what happened to this place but I thought Door charge was for getting in. I payed to get out. I had to wash my eyes with soap.

Absolutely worst experience ever! Tried going there the other day for my 21st birthday. Front bouncer absolutely rude threw money at me, called me fat, and proceeded to tell me my mother was the only one who saw his genitals. Threatened to call the police over a situation he escalated. Once the manager came instead of resolving the issue he continued to let the bouncer to insult me and issue us a refund. Do not recommend to anyone. Went there the night before with no problems at all sad to say customer service was not top notch

First time coming here. My husband, friends and myself Absolutely loved it. We laughed, we sang and we danced. Best night ever!! The show was amazing. The dance floor was thumping. We will definitely be back. 💕💕💕

First time going out in Lexington. The Bar Complex was super fun. However, I was disappointed with my drink. The venue itself is nice and spacious. The bar seems more like a dive bar. They seem to pride themselves of their bartender not having professorial training, but I’m not sure if they have unprofessional training either. I wanted an old fashioned and the bartender said no. (Which is fine) When I said never mind he made it any way and it was super gross. It tasted like Haribo Coca Cola gummies. I got the impression he was pushing a sale, which I did not appreciate (The drink itself was cheap so that’s nice.) So unless you’re looking for a simple drink, get your cocktail somewhere else. Then go to The Bar Conplex.

We actually we to Kentucky to visit a different club but hated the experience so we went right over to bar complex and had an AMAZING time! The drag shows were amazing and drinks were great too! Well forsure be back sometime soon!

I really want to bring my daughter for her 21st birthday for a Drag Show! Have had many people recommend! But I am not sure of the show schedule. I dont see any info on the website. Any info would be awesome! I am excited to visit soon!

First visit. Looks great... a tad slow on Thursday, but its early.

I came here on my 21st and loved it! The music is wonderful and the queens are gorgeous! The bartenders are all very kind (there is one bartender who always teases me but its all in good fun lol). Ive thought about going to other gay bars in town but honestly this ones got me hooked

If only there were more stars to rate, because The Bar has so many stars inside!!! My partner and i went last night...lets just say we want to be regulars!!! We were a little nervous, because 1) We have never been to a club of any kind (We dont get a baby sitter often) and 2) we are in a heterosexual relationship and were not sure if the atmosphere would be open to that. Everyone was beyond nice, from the doorman to the bartenders to the queens. I feel welcome and at home every minute. The outfits were like something out of vogue magazine, the humor was sharp and witty, the elegance was overwhelmingly stellar. I sincerely hope that the owners of The Bar will share my comments with all their employees, as we are both so grateful for their kindness. We will definitely be back!!!

Went there last night and there isnt a enough words to describe the amount of fun I had. The drag show was also only 7 or 9 dollars or something like that but I would have paid $50.00. I could sit here and type out everything single thing I enjoyed, but honestly its such a unique experience words wouldnt do it justice. Just go and see for yourself 😍 10 out 10 recommend.

I planned a big birthday party here, had the most amazing night. Joe helped to make sure we had great seats for the show and hosted us very graciously. The bartenders were a bit off on all the drinks.. Everyone changed to beer due to the mixings . Other than that it was an epic party . Entertainers were absolutely stunning. Gracen was my favorite. That man can perform and was so sweet .. all of the entertainers were wonderful. Cant wait to bring more friends and have some more fun .

Warnings! This is also part gay strip club! I didnt know this, and just came because it was reported as the best dance club in the city. The dance floor is a good size, and there is a dj that plays pretty good stuff. All the staff is very nice, and respectful of the fact that I am not gay. Would recommend with the above warning.

Always go here and it’s usually a good time. Wanted to take my friend here for his 21st and by far the front bouncer made it the worst experience I have encountered here. Very insulting and unprofessional.

I went here on a Thursday night to see what Lexingtons nightlife had to offer and while I havent been to any real drag bars, I thought this was a fun little place. I can only speak for the first floor, which has a nice bar/lounge area followed by a sexier stage/lounge area where the performers take you away.Thankfully, no cover, as we only stayed for a few songs during amateur night, but I was impressed by the performers. I mean, really, if thats amateur, what does the regular night look like?Very straight-friendly and clean.

The bar complex is very judgemental the owner is rude but the bartenders are great except for happy hour the bartender isnt respectful. The majority of the happy hour people are judgemental and likes to stir up issues about that they really have no clue about. The music is terrible abd the shows are the same every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Does the Bar Complex have drag shows on Fridays?Ive always loved the Bar Complex when attending UK, especially the drag shows. We plan to return tonight.

Great place to dance! The drinks are great and certainly your moneys worth! They also have a nice comfortable lounge bar and a show room. Fun place!

Unfortunately 1 star is the lowest you can give, otherwise this review would be 0 stars. Unless you enjoy wasting your time on a terrible atmosphere, condescending staff, and overpriced drinks then do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to be for the night.

Had a blast the show was awesome! Clean and the staff was very friendly. No judgment if you arent gay. I would highly recommend this place.

Brad is the best bartender and this place is great. Wish it was more frequented, but its still one of the only places in town to dance your ass off.

This place is rocking and jamin. You just have to not be afraid to have fun and let loose and make every night there like it is your first time there and you have a blast every time lol

One of the consistently best dance floors in Lexington. Drinks arent the cheapest but the company is always colorful. =)

The atmosphere is friendly and Brad is a good bartender, the drag shows are good and the dancefloor and music are the best around.

A short little idiot slapped me in the face for no reason. When I reported it to the black bouncer, he did not do anything. They need to listen to the patrons when you tell them about violence.

If I could give a 0 star I would. Disrespectful, unprofessional and aggressive bouncer!

Even Doug I arrived at 10:00 PM it was way better hospitality than soundbar .
