Hotel staff was very nice. As far as actual room, carpet was wet, turned our feet black. Furniture needs to be updated. Hrs for breakfast was listed as starting at 7am, however was never ready till after 7:30. Staff that was responsible made comment every morning that she over slept. Breakfast was good once it was ready. Will not be recommending hotel to others.
Website said 18+ check in, called two months in advance to confirm, when we arrived property manager was rude and said it was 21+. PM admitted to judging us by appearance but decided to let us stay. Upon entering room we noticed hair in the bathroom and sinks. Then saw bloody handprint on the wall next to the balcony door. Told front desk and Kim (unlike PM) was extremely helpful and kind and cleaned the wall and installed a new screen balcony door. Room was overall not clean (stains, smell) but beds were comfortable and view was nice. We appreciate Kim for her kindness and customer service! For someone who judges by first impressions the property manager sure doesnt give a good one.
Long story short this company is dishonest, disloyal and unethical.I booked a room pet friendly last December 2023. July 8,2024 I called the hotel to confirm reservation inplace for August 2024 and was informed my reservation had been canceled.Flash forward last week I was charged for the stay saying I had booked in another room at same hotel for same dates and was a No Show thus charged on full.Beware of this company practice. Look up BBB ratings and clients complaints, similar to my experience.Oh, their rating is a F .Beware! So 😔. Cannot trust OYO HOTEL Inc.
**1-Star Review:**I recently stayed at Siletz bay beachfront and had a very distressing experience. During our stay, the fire alarm went off for no reason forcing everyone to evacuate the building in the middle of the night. It was chaotic and frightening, with fire trucks arriving and guests in a panic. The stress and anxiety this incident caused were overwhelming, and it left me with lasting concerns. To make matters worse, when I reached out to OYO, they refused to offer any compensation for the distress caused by this ordeal. This lack of accountability only added to my disappointment. I expected much better from a reputable hotel chain.I cannot recommend this hotel if you value your safety and peace of mind. My stay was ruined, and I certainly won’t be returning.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I was a little hesitant with the booking process through OYO but did a quick google and found articles easing my scam alert spider senses. The hotel was clean. Location was perfect, our room overlooked the beach. We walked 10 steps from the hotel onto the beach. Beds were comfortable.I would say that for what the hotel was it was way under priced.Stay here while it is still affordable!
Clearly understaffed and underpaid hospitality team. Our bathroom was dirty on check-in (body hair all over the shower). I took photos (at least 10 but no one wants to see all of them so attached is a sample) and planned to discuss with the manager. Each time I tried, the manager was unavailable or had the day off. We decided to pretend we were camping and no one showered. When we returned home, I tried to share my concerns with OYO Corporate but there is literally no way to give feedback on their site. Their chatbot keeps you in a loop with no resolution. I will NEVER stay with OYO again. GROSS.
Location is great! Rooms are fine and clean. My son and I stayed here one night and we enjoyed a walk along the bay to see the ocean. Great view from the rooms of Siletz Bay! Fun watching the tide roll in and out. Decent beds. They allow dogs too!
Lincoln City USA great little town in the Oregon coast. The location of this motel is perfect ~ right on a small bay adjacent to the waves of the ocean. This is an older motel that has what we call a Funky-cool vibe to it. Nothing fancy but clean and comfy. A walk on the beach (maybe looking for a glass orb) is the perfect way to start your day ! We’ll be back ~
It was a good stay. We had 2 rooms, both were perfectly clean. One had some maintenance issues (wall sconce missing, drawer trim missing, one sink clogged), the other one was fine. We mentioned the clogged sink to the front desk, but when we checked out 2 days later, it was still clogged (we didnt complain again, because there was another sink). The fridge is nice and big, and I liked the separate shower/toilet room. Great views of the bay and the seals playing in the water. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast (DIY waffles, fruit, bagels/english muffins, yogurt, coffee/tea/juice, oat meal, cereal). There are only 3 tables and 7 chairs, so expect to either wait/stand or eat in your room (thats what most guests seemed to do). Front desk staff seemed somewhat unhappy most of the time, but not unfriendly. The hotel is right at the beach, great for playing in the sand. We would stay here again.
Mostly clean room, needs to work on moving furniture and vacuuming under and along edges. Also the cloth chairs were to dirty to sit on.Very comfortable bed and shower. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was good.I loved the balcony and private stairs to the beach.
I stayed there a weekend. The location is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is free. However, we could smell the cigarette from our balconies since they are smoking very close to the building. Breakfast is marginal. Just eat out. Our keys didn’t work most of the time. The bathroom had a weird smell maybe because it’s an old building. The shower looses pressure while showering. You get what you pay for. Staff and the workers are amazing but I will probably just pay more and stay at a place where I feel like am being pampered on vacation.
Staff was pleasant, had excellent customer service and addressed my concerns properly and efficiently. My initial room had excellent views but was not clean, it had food on walls, drink rings on counters, and food encrusted into the furniture. It appeared to have not been vacuumed and had cigarette ashes along the edge of the walls and carpet. I was moved to a different room! It was clean and smelled very good. The beds were smaller, the view was nice, but not as nice as the first room, and was still in the process of being renovated possibly as there was a big hole in the bathroom door.
I came in a day early thinking my reservation was for Monday & Tuesday when it was actually for Tuesday & Wednesday. The front desk lady was great getting me in early. The room was clean, comfortable, with a balcony and great view. A big plus was Mos being right next door. The cost was very reasonable.
We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights in June. Our room was right on the edge of the inlet. Even though people were sometimes on the beach, it was very peaceful. We spent one evening sitting on softwood, drinking wine, and watching the sunset. The staff was incredibly nice and went out of their way for us. The hotel itself is clean and perfectly fine.
Sweet little hotel in one of my favorite Oregon seaside towns. This place is an absolutely phenomenal deal, and its in such a dream spot. Literal steps away from the beach, with a gorgeous view of a lil dock and Siletz bay. Very walkable, peaceful, & majorly stunning. It felt very safe as a solo traveler. The beds are clouds, & in the world of seaside motels I feel like Im living like a king. Melissa was also incredibly accomadating and helpful with more than a couple late-night mix ups and check-in. Thank you very much for your kindness!
This hotel is a bit older, but still very nice and comfortable....right on the bay! We saw all the water and wildlife off the balcony...herd of deer and all. The front desk lady went out of her way to make sure we got the rooms we needed. Yes, thank you!! You know who you are.
So we definitely had some pros and more than a few cons with our multiple night stay. Overall, I do want to say that I enjoyed it, but there are definitely things to be aware of before committing to a reservation and am overnight stay. The pros:1. The room was really quiet, we didnt hear our neighbors at all, only the normal sounds of the ocean.2. The beds were *really* comfortable!3. Its very pet friendly, which can be a hard thing to find anymore.4. The front desk agents were very nice... when they were actually there at the desk, which wasnt often. The cons:1. Parking is *very* limited, and the parking spots are FAR too small for anything other than a compact. Driving a truck? Good luck - youll need it.2. When we checked in there were customers fighting in the lobby, to the point where it looked like it was about to get physical. Not a great first impression.3. The lobby is closed after 10, so if you want to do any late night work, youll have to do it in your room. Traveling with someone who sleeps at night, trying not to disturb them? Youre out of luck.4. Theres no vending other than Pepsi machines, and the vending in the lobby is very limited in selection.5. Breakfast was pretty flimsy, almost nothing beyond oranges, peanut butter, bagels and English muffins. Coffee lids dont fit the cups, and the coffee urns were usually empty. When they were full, they had a lot of grounds in them. Also, theres really not anywhere to sit and eat so the expectation is that youll grab whatever you can carry and take it back to your room. It would seem more welcoming and inviting to maybe have some outside seating available so one could watch the ocean while having breakfast, I thought.6. The wheels fell off of the room chairs any time we moved the table and chairs out. Constantly had to put them back in.7. The balcony fence made of flimsy pvc. Ours was still wrapped in the remains of old warning tape, and it wasnt really a secure feeling.8. Police were called at least one of the nights we were there.9. Breakfast wasnt ready at all Tuesday morning because the front desk agent apparently overslept - breakfast was marginally late almost every day we were there.10. Squeaky room doors. VERY squeaky. Good luck not waking everyone up if you need to leave.11. Refrigerator kept defrosting, leaking water onto the carpet.12. The underground parking garage looks like its falling apart, broken washing machines in one of the spots, garbage in others and it just didnt look like it was well maintained. Coming out of it is at an extreme incline, so much so that you cant see vehicles parked in front of you so you almost have to feel your way out and hope that you dont hit anyone or scrape your cat to pieces on the cement walls.13. The front desk was hardly staffed even in daytime hours, usually nobody to be found. Several times I went down looking for various bits of assistance and even after ringing the bell, nobody showed up. I finally gave up and left.14. Housekeeping wont do any room service unless you specifically ask at the front desk.15. While they are pet friendly the pet fee is $25 a day! Most other hotels have a one time pet fee regardless of how long you stay ($30-$50), so you can imagine how quickly this fee piles up if youre staying there for an extended amount of time.16. I needed to leave early this morning and had to wake up the staff at 6:30 AM in order to come to the desk and get me a receipt for my stay. With those caveats in mind, I do have to reiterate that I really liked the room, the bed was amazing and it was really quiet. Phenomenal view, the staff really was friendly and overall it was pretty peaceful, these issues notwithstanding. It seems really unusual to not have an open lobby and 24 hour desk service; I felt guilty about having to ask for what would be considered run of the mill procedure at almost any other hotel.Overall it was acceptable. Room & bed were very much the highlights.
I stayed at the Siletz Bay Beachfront Hotel for 2 nights in August of 2024. I’ll start out with the things that I loved because I don’t want to brow beat something that is being worked on currently. The staff were amazing. Everybody was incredibly kind and friendly. The manager had the opportunity to charge me a huge fee because of a misunderstanding on my part when I booked through Expedia for the first time. I thought I had booked a pet friendly room and that our dogs would automatically be “registered” since I included them on my info for Expedia. That wasn’t the case it seems. So, instead of talking down to me or making a huge deal out of it the manager asked me to come to the front desk and explained what the problems were especially since we then had dogs in a non pet friendly room. She was very kind about everything and had me register the pets and helped me with cutting down the fee and making things right for both parties which I appreciated so much. She even asked to meet the puppies and gave them treats. It could have been a disastrous occurrence that she minimized. Again, absolutely amazing. I feel like most other places would have taken me to the wood shed and bled me for every red cent they could. I won’t be making assumptions about what Expedia does and does not notify them of from now on. If I could give the staff more than 5 stars I would absolutely do it.The location is absolutely stunning. You have access to the beach right off the back balconies on the lower levels. Amazing view. Beautiful sunset. Off the main road so it’s quiet and serene the entire stay. Plus, being centrally located, there are plenty of places to eat and shop within walking distance. You could throw a rock and hit MO’s which is a pretty prevalent sea food restaurant on the Oregon coastline. There is a bar and grill just 5 minutes walking up the road that has a Bloody Mary bar on Saturday and Sunday from 9-5 where they give you a glass with the liquor and you can build your Bloody Mary however you see fit. Exquisite 😂Now, for the less than great part. The rooms are seriously in need of a remodel or at least a face lift. I had stayed in the Luxury Suite Single King with Jacuzzi. I’m not sure what the other rooms look like compared to this one but if it’s titled luxury then I’m sure that bodes well. The carpet had a pretty sizable tear right down the middle where the carpet met the tile for the Jacuzzi. No way you could miss it. It was one of the first things that I noticed when I walked in to the room. Even if there wasn’t a tear in the carpet you could tell that it is extremely old in terms of wear and tear. The carpet less loose and stretched out in areas causing ripples that were super noticeable. When I walked in to the turn the light on, the actual light switch cover fell off because no one had put screws back in it when they either changed the cover or changed the switch. The giant florescent light above the double vanity sink is all out of whack. There were a couple times I flipped the switch to turn it on and it took so long to actual fire up that I had forgotten I had turned it on when it finally lit up. If I remember right, one of the times was about 20 minutes later when it actually lit up. The bed was an absolute lump of a bed. Extra hard mattresses with a lumpy cotton mattresses protector pulled over it. The sheets and comforter felt like they were starched and I don’t know how old they actually were. There were other small items but at this point I’m starting to beat the proverbial dead horse. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay and I will absolutely stay there again in the future. I’d be more than happy to increase the google rating if there was a bit of maintenance done on the hotel to make it feel as luxurious as the price.
Trish, the mgr, was awesome and so very helpful! She even came to the room and helped us get our apps on the tv.The bed wasn’t too comfortable. The room was very nice and had a beautiful view of the bay and the ocean. Continental breakfasts were very nice. We will definitely be back
Amazing location. Right next to a nice restaurant and backed on to the beach. There’s a fun activity where Lincoln City hides locally blown glass floats along the beach to be found. The property is a little older, but is beautiful and authentic. Very safe feeling area. Loved the quality and quantity of soaps. Breakfast was basic self serve, no complaints.Parking is limited and tight for trucks/larger SUVs. The shower head was unpleasant and there was a ton of woman’s hair stuck to the far wall in the shower.Overall would stay again but would check over the room on arrival
We enjoyed our stay here. The only issues we had was there are not air conditioners in the room, the jets for the jacuzzi are to loud. The first day we showed up, we received a call saying that check in wasn’t till 5 pm, even though the web site and bookings said 4 pm.
We stayed in a queen double, balcony ocean view room for 1 night. Luckily it was Spring time because there is NO A/C. Our room was around the corner of the building and we got mostly a bay view and a corner peak of the ocean. The building itself is very old. We spilled some water and threw a towel down to clean it up. The towel was brown afterwards. Super gross carpet. Probably wouldnt come back here again.
The rooms are just what you need to relax and rest after a long day of exploring the city and its neighbors. This isn’t a 5 star hotel but the staff sure is! Specifically Melissa, Trish and Larissa! We have stayed multiple times and they have always been terrific. This last time while we were visiting we had an unexpected family emergency and they went a above and beyond to help with extending our stay and assisting in making future plans for us to stay when we attend the funeral. Very helpful and kind!
Was a last minute stay as we got rained out of camping, staff was super nice. Rooms are large and clean, views were amazing! The free bfast was fun with the make your own waffles! It was a pleasant stay and I would stay again. The only negative, which wasnt enough to knock a star off, is there is only and icemaker on the first floor.
I like this hotel and the rates are appropriate, great breakfast and access to the beach is easy. The three rooms I reserved where clean, however my daughters room had issues with the water, it took more than 10 to heat up for the shower. My Moms room the door didnt latch well and took more effort than it should.
We discovered this hotel 6 months ago and we decided this hotel the best in Lincoln City. Good service, very professional and kind people, quite, room is Ive enough. Hot water, the bed is comfortable. Location is great. This time we stayed in the room with the balcony faces on the bay. We definitely will come afain.
Hoping this gets noticed by the owners. This is a very superficial account of what happened. Feel free to reach out to me directly as I stayed in the first floor western corner room I believe was 112 for 2 nights starting 7/22/24. Booked a room for 7/25 through the Oyo call center but when I showed up to check in they said they were overbooked and did not have a room for me. The GM then took me to her office and cancelled another reservation to give me a room. Awesome! But… when I went to the room it was clearly occupied by another customer. Afterwards, the GM was clearly confused about what had happened was incapable of helping me remedy the situation. At one point, while looking for other hotels to stay at, she nearly fell out of her chair like she was about to fall asleep on the spot. Had a difficult time getting a refund because on Oyo’s end, it showed me as being checked in even though it was to a room that was already occupied. The lady at the front desk was outstanding but the GM appears to have a severe problem. GM is definitely not showing up to work at her best.
Staff was friendly. Check in was easy. Room had terrific view.Room furniture was beat up, seats at table were stained. Room seemed freshly painted, everything else, pretty worn.
I was very pleased with the Siletz Bay Lodge after reading some negative reviews of it. The front desk staff was very helpful and even moved her car to give me a closer spot when I checked in. Contrary to some reviews, they do have an elevator. The hotel is old and shows some wear and tear, but my room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. The view was amazing, and I enjoyed watching the seals and birds play in the bay!
Location is good. Staff is good. Breakfast is continental, so no hot foods like eggs or meats. But certainly sufficient. The rooms are reminiscent of motel 6. Thin walls...we heard the pitter patter of the feet of what I assume was a toddler from our upstairs neighbor for several hours.
1. Rooms- The beds are good. The tables in the rooms had LOTS of scratches the sinks are very small and the bathroom is also small. The TV worked fine.2. Service- It was very infuriating that there was NO drinking water available. Although there was hot water at breakfast, the breakfast was the worst! It was super low quality. They stored the bagels, english muffins, and pop-tarts in PLASTIC BAGS! Another thing about the breakfast was that they were putting the food in the plastic bags with no gloves on. On the second day the elevator broke!3. Location- The location was the money worth part of the stay. It was very beautiful. And there is a MO’s right next to the Motel which has very good food. The Taft waterfront is also a short walk away.
Tables had excessive scratches, microwave missing knobs, patio screen torn, chairs were HEAVILY stained. Wash area sink was damaged as well. This is definitely a budget hotel that could use a remodel. With that said, the location is exceptional. It is right on the beach and conveniently located to the surrounding Taft area.
This hotel was great until it became an OYO hotel. OYO is terrible and has zero actual customer service. We decided to change our plans and needed to cancel our room (which we had booked direct with the OYO website) and it took over an hour to figure out and do because there’s zero actual customer service. I tried the chat and it kept telling me the OTP was wrong (it was not) and then when I chose to connect to a live agent (which in my confirmation email said I could get 24/7) it just gave me a phone number to call. The phone number was just as little help too because it kept telling me to follow the self help links sent to my phone which didn’t exist. Don’t ever book direct with OYO.
Lots of positives from our stay at the OYO. Location was excellent. But it was the off season pricing that attracted us to siletz Bay.The beach along the bay is right next to the hotel which makes dog walking excellent time. The bed sheets and bedding was the highlight of the trip. The other outstanding memory is the wonderful lady at the front desk. I must have asked her half a dozen questions about the hotel and the area and she was so kind. The other housekeeping lady was also very polite and helpful in the morning trying to find my way. I think this hotel works very very hard to keep the place clean and running and the customers staying over are made to feel very comfortable.I would like to note that the negatives of our trip are all centered around other people. For example, our room with wonderful until the people upstairs decided to jump up and down on the floor for hours. The wife said it was kids. The morning continental breakfast would have been excellent if people going through didnt make complete pigs of themselves. Cereal all over the counter, people left their tables dirty and unattended and the coffee station was a mess. I dont blame the hotels staff. People are just generally thoughtless and rude
Excellent location in Lincoln City, driving around this is probably the only motel I would choose to stay in judging by the looks of all of the motels. Beachfront and great views! Just a step outside and able to walk along the beach with tons of washed up driftwood and small cozy beach fires at sunset. Room was dated but clean. Front desk staff was not available most of the time.
The manager is incredibly friendly and you can tell she puts a lot of care into running this place. The room was incredible and the view was great. The whole place was clean and rates are phenomenal for being so close to the beach.
Really enjoyable stay. The location is just fantastic. Really enjoyed that the food trucks were within walking distance. Gorgeous views from the room. I had a king room, and it was quite spacious and comfortable. I also appreciated there were actual drinking glasses and coffee mugs in the room instead of flimsy plastic and paper cups. Most of the staff were quite nice and friendly. One during checkout showed me a video of a rainbow appearing at a nearby beach. Really only had one who looked like she was miserable and very unapproachable. Maybe she was just having a bad day.WiFi worked well, and I was able to stream some shows. No ambient noise from other rooms which was REALLY nice.Breakfast and coffee were meh, but I figured breakfast met expectations since its advertised as being continental, and room rates are so low.I would def stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay. The rooms are dated and need some work but the location and the service made up for any deficiencies in the rooms. Our room was clean, the television service was excellent and there were ports to connect an external device if you choose. The views from the small patio/deck were stunning. The sights and sounds made our time spent in the room very relaxing. Thanks for a great experience.
It was perfect for what I needed. Also, the lady at the front desk was very nice even though she didnt know I was arriving after the check-in time ended, she also gave me a different room so I could hear the ocean since it was too dark to see the ocean. It was a great room and friendly staff. Thank you Siletz Bay Beachfront hotel.
This is a budget friendly hotel in a beautiful spot on Siletz Bay. It is under a new hotel chain, OYO. Pets are welcome for a fee. We had a nice remolded room with a King comfy bed, and nice linens. Everything was very clean and we were impressed and will continue to use this as our go to hotel. Soon the secret will be out that it offers so much for such a small price tag. The ladies in front were awesome and we chatted quite a bit. We have no complaints whatsoever. I hope your stay is as lovely. Note: we did not travel with pets.
Old room, but CLEAN. VERY helpful stuff. The hotel is under renovation. Some rooms are updated, while our still had the old furniture and carpet, walls were freshly painted.
Room was more than we expected for the price. Breakfast was very good especially the yogurt. Melissa at the front desk was very knowledgeable about the area and very pleasant. I would highly recommend staying at this location.
Nice place! Not upscale.. easy access to Beach. We reserved 2 queen room. Those beds are NOT Queen size! My wife were Really crowded and slept poorly! Especially what we paid! Disappointed!
I love this place. It is my new found place to stay. The staff are very freindly. It is totally pet freindly. They give you treats for the dogs and the breakfast is awesome. I will stay here again and again.
Hotel is ideal because it’s right on the bay, parking is a nightmare. There is an upper and lower deck for a compact parking but it’s virtually empty. Parking for compact vehicles needs to be enforced so that people with larger vehicles can use the main parking lot if you own anything larger than a compact car, I don’t recommend staying at this hotel.
Our room was decent, the bed was comfortable. The location was perfect. The staff was nice, a bit scattered at times.
Good beach front location. And that’s about it.Weird receptionist, dated rooms with “past era smell”, poor breakfast weirdly packed in plastic bags. Ok for 1 night, wouldn’t go there for longer.
Let me start by saying that the view is beautiful and its right next to Mos, and Mos is A1. Aside from that, upon checking in, it was very apparent that the room wasnt vacuumed as there was garbage and crumbs everywhere. On day 2, the TV crapped out, so they moved us to a different room. Upgraded, which was something. Unfortunately, the TV in there was also on the fritz, and for whatever reason, the cable company wasnt brought out to fix anything until 9-9:30pm.
If you can tolerate the dated rooms, otherwise, we found it value for money.decent breakfast, great view of the bay and location
Beautiful view, staff was friendly and helpful, great place if you have a dog.Parking is terrible, the lots are small, and getting to upper or lower lot very difficult if you have anything bigger than a sedan.
Great little hotel! The staff is so friendly; we had a pet friendly room and they gave us a bag of treats for each of our four dogs! There were free bags of tea and hot chocolate and marshmallows at the desk. There is a store section with tons of choices in case youve forgotten something or just want a treat: from sweatshirts and toothbrushes to ice cream and stuffies for kids. The view is not to be beat and the location, next to Mos restaurant, and down the street from the food cart pod and several stores is ideal. Great overall experience!! The only thing that was a little disheartening was that we had a double queen room but they were full beds, not queens. The hotel looks a little old when pulling up but it is perfectly sufficient and I believe all the rooms have views. There is even a little side yard for the dogs to do their business. Lots of food with the continental breakfast!
We enjoyed our stay over the ice storm. Melissa was very nice, the rooms were nice sized with balcony, ceiling fan, love seat and table and chairs. The beds were good quality and quite comfortable, they have an awesome view of the bay and even serve breakfast not to mention they were very affordable.
We ran screaming from a filthy hotel room and felt like we were in the lap of luxury compareatively.EDIT:THIS hotel was great compared to the one we ran screaming from, a completely different company. OYO, apologies for the confusion. Your hotel was lovely, comfortable, clean and we felt safe. Thank you!
Beautiful location, pretty decent room. The staff are very welcoming, polite and helpful. The gentleman Cody (hope I got the name right) who worked the night of Dec. 21, 2023 was very helplful and kind, he assisted us with finding a spot for our big box truck to park. I had a good nights rest. Would definitely stay here again if were in the area.If you happen to stay here , dont leave without taking a walk on the beach , its sooo beautiful!
Very professional staff and clean accommodations, very beautiful view with balconies and easy beach access. Restaurants were all within walking distance.Staff was friendly and very helpful with local advice and attractions.Very nice room with plenty of space comfortable beds!!!!Will recommend and I will be back for sure!
OYO ROOMS IS A TERRIBLE BOOKING AGENCY!I so wanted to post a better review, but the experiences I have had with OYO has made this impossible.First of all- the good: *the Location- Right on the beach and so close to the water! *the Room Layout- nice space with a loveseat, table with chairs and a coffee table next to the sliding door opening onto a balcony- and with two queen beds made for plenty of room for our stay. *the Front Desk Staff- I realize that some of you had trouble with on-site staff- but we were met with friendly people who took good care of us and were professional and helpful in every interaction. *Balcony Room- worth the upgrade! *Breakfast - nothing special, but for the price of the rooms and not expecting much- was a nice little snack before heading out for a real meal or on the beach. *Dog Friendly- never felt an issue with our dog in tow. A station out front supplied bags for cleanup (which were always stocked) and Zeke absolutely loved hanging out on the balcony. *Parking - being on a very busy beach and with apparently limited parking- we never had trouble finding a spot! (keep in mind they are next door to Mos!)Now, for the bad- in no particular order: *OYO ROOMS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! I have called multiple times - first to change my room (they cannot do that) and then after our stay trying to get my deposit back- to which I have had no luck in over a month. Calling about your existing reservation gets you hung up on and the credit card merchant contact info lists their phone number as 123456789. The only way to talk to them is to select 1 to make a new booking and ask to be transferred. (not that they can fix anything) *Smoking area is right next to the side entry door- and as others have mentioned- the smoke drifts right in and down the halls. Disappointing.Neutral, but worth mention: The furniture is worn and a bit tired but that may be a result of our stay in a pet room. Water damage on some interior woodwork and furniture caused localized swelling and wasnt the best impression- but was still functional. Sheets and pillowcases were clean and stain free- and pillows were fairly new. Some upholstered surfaces could use a cleaning, but the carpet had been recently shampooed in our room. (Resulting in a damp smell the first night) Rooms were actually pretty quiet and with the windows open to hear the ocean, we didnt have problems with noise. All in all- and with realistic expectations we would stay here again if we didnt have to deal with OYO.UPDATE: I contacted the hotel through the email they gave in their response to this review and they still havent refunded the deposit.
This place looks newer on the outside, but inside it is old and worn out. No clock, no usb ports It is all old, musty and tired. It needs a complete interior renovation. It owned and operated by people in India that THINK they can speak english, they can NOT. When I booked it, the guy in India lied to me and told me he was at the Hotel and how the weather was, he was in India. I would stay clear of this place. By the way, OYO stands for “On Your Own”.
I booked a room expecting to bring my small dog with me. I attempted to contact the hotel through email and phone to see if I booked the correct room to bring my little dog and I did not get an email back (the phone number listed does not connect with anyone, once you choose a prompt it hangs up). Once we got there the gal that checked us in was extremely rude when she told us we did not book a pet room. I told her I tried to contact them multiple times and she stated there is no way you can contact us. Which I though was weird. Once we got to the room there was a welcome note with food and grease stains on it. The only complimentary items were body soap and conditioner- no shampoo or hand soap. There is supposed to be breakfast provided which the only option was waffles but the waffle maker was broken. I paid a deposit that I was told we would get back after checking out if the room was in order (we made sure it was clean and well taken care of) and have not gotten the deposit back. I attempted to reach the hotel again to ask when I can expect the deposit to be returned and have not found a way to contact them as before. DO NOT STAY HERE. The only nice thing about this place is the location. There are plenty of other places to stay in this area with this location that is the same price, and probably a lot nicer, easier to contact, cleaner and friendlier.
1 star motel at best. Location of motel is great. Motel itself is terrible. Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else. Staying somewhere else will save you time, money, headache, and won’t ruin your family vacation.
Took a bad fall at the back of the motel due to a path that went around the back of the motel. This path had concrete laid around a couple of boulders (sticking up around two to three inches and 12 by 24 approximately). Not visible in the dark of the night and no guard of any kind around them. Path should be closed during the evening and should have a gate barring folks from walking back there at night. They did put a picnic table across the path before I left. I tripped on one and fell over the steep side down to the beach. I do feel lucky I was not hurt worse that I am. Many scrapes/bruises etc. and I think I cracked a rib or two. The manager and staff were very apologetic and very nice. I just hope for future guests they block this off in the evening.
Office was closed at 8am on checkout day. We had to leave without confirmation that the damage deposit was recredited to our account, and of course no breakfast.
It is not fancy but clean and a great location. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent! I would definitely stay here again!!!
Staff was great and we had the best room right on the bay with an amazing view. Everything about this place was perfect!
Excellent place (although it needs a renovation) in a fabulous location and with fantastic staff. Great experience. Best bang for the buck! Would return in a heart beat!
My husband and I spent 4 nights here. We paid for 5 nights but left a day early. This was our first stay here. We loved the location. The beach area in front of the hotel is nice and not overrun by too many people. The beach access was next to the lobby and easy to get to. The barking dogs at 6am was a bit obnoxious but to be expected at a pet friendly hotel. It was nice to have an elevator. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had some issues with the key card not working properly which was a bit frustrating. The room was not what we were expecting. It was very clean and had a nice view. The ceiling fan was nice and circulated the air very well. The furniture was very run down and really needs replaced. We moved the table and the leg almost fell off. Moved a chair with wheels and a wheel fell off. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and the fabric was stained. The couch was very uncomfortable and stained as well. The tables were stained and scratched up. The beds were very firm but reasonably comfortable. They did keep sliding off the edge of the frame though. The sliding glass door was pretty dirty/streaky and the screen door had a big hole in it. The lamps were funky to turn off and on. The TV was not working when we got there but it was fixed the same day. The refrigerator was nice and cold and kept everything cold during our stay. The real glassware was a nice touch instead of plastic. We dont drink coffee so not sure about the coffee maker. It would have been nice to have some tea bags along with the coffee bags. The sinks drained very slowly. The toilet seat looked like it has never been replaced and not very sanitary looking. The bathtub drain would not stay open so the water backed up during showers. The shower head was adjustable but the pressure was not very strong making it difficult to rinse long hair. The towels and linens were all clean and smelled fresh. The light on the balcony was terribly bright and ruined our nighttime view. It came on automatically around 8pm and turned off anytime between 10pm and midnight. I would recommend staying on the top floor as it was a bit noisy above us. The people next to us were pretty loud as well. The doors slam shut if you dont hold on to it while closing it and we heard a lot of door slamming. All in all, it was a decent stay for the price. In its glory days, I believe this was a nice hotel, but now its just decent. Comfortable furniture would be a huge improvement especially for those that like extended stays.
No idea why I see people writing not satisfied reviews. We are extremely pleased with the hotel. The price was definitely worth it for a beach facing view or rather a very good price. The front desk person also was very kind to give our infant some free goodies. My dog also appreciated the complimentary treats packet.I dont usually write reviews, but wanted to give a shout out for this OYO hotel.Thank you guys!!
The room was great... Id even say roomy! The location was fantastic! Theres many food choices and shops close by, and not to mention, our personal favorite, the ocean and beach access. We especially had fun finding clams in the bay just outside of our room! The staff was good. The breakfast wasnt anything fancy, but we still enjoyed it. 🙂 and left satisfied.BUT registering online and dealing with the oyo customer service was terrible! I wouldnt even give it 1 star. I wouldve preferred that the online booking phone number went directly to the hotel and its staff... adding in a middle man, to even finalize the room was not my favorite. It was a very difficult process and wasted so much of my time; not to mention, depending on which rep I talked with (I had to deal with a couple), they kept changing the price for my visit. I was told I could pay upon my arrival, but then told my booking wasnt actually confirmed due to no payment and that the rate would increase to an unknown amount at the hotel. To avoid this unknown amount, I paid over the phone (ok, no problem, but the back and forth changing of info was confusing and frustrating) and paying was an ordeal as well.... Our experience was fantastic there, but almost not worth the oyo customer service and the required online booking with a separate party. I much rather deal directly with the hotel and its staff!
Im giving Melissa at the front desk all 5 stars, she is great, made us feel very welcome, upgraded us to a nicer room because shes nic. The room is a bit dated but clean and Im either on the balcony looking at the beautiful view or on the beach thats steps away. Give Melissa a raise, shes who you want working the front desk to make everyone feel welcome.
Wonderful beach access and great view. Good location and comfortable! We will definitely recommend OYO at Silets Bay in Lincoln City.
It was fine for a hotel in this price range. Not fancy, but clean and a great view of the bay. The staff was friendly and helpful even at the busy checkin hour.Having said that, there are some things to be aware of:1.The hotel is on the bay, not the ocean. Not a problem. It’s a beautiful bay.2. Not all rooms have a balcony. I accidentally booked one without and was kicking myself for that oversight.3. The sheets are not standard white cotton hotel sheets. They’re 100% polyester microfiber, and in a light colored print. For me, this is a deal breaker on ever staying there again. Ugh! Polyester? No thanks. That’s why I only gave three stars overall.
Didnt tell us about a $60 pet fee. Whatever on that I guess. What ruined our stay was the fact that we called to see if there was an early check-in possible. Guy on the phone kept saying ok thanks bye! as if he wasnt listening and just trying to end the call. Then, he booked us for a 2nd night which we made no mention of because he simply wasnt listening to a simple question is it possible to get early check-in? The phone hung up on us a dozen times when selecting option 2 as well. Then, we get there and theres no early check-in. So we wait for an hour, and then theyre running behind. Then, our room was weird, with sand all over the floor. Our balcony was blocked off by caution tape, so the ocean view really just was a bay view through caution tape. We brought this to the attention of the company after we found the $60 charge we were not made aware of and they just ignored all of the rest and said they charged us right. In their response they mentioned nothing about the fact that our balcony was literally cautioned off from use because we werent sure if the balcony was unstable? Painted? Anything? Also, filthy, booked a 2nd night when we didnt ask for it, and then told us our room would be ready by 3 when instead we sat around until after 4. Never again, HORRIBLE hotel and service. BBB complaint here I come.
I really like staying here. Ive gone for my birthday the last 2 years. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I will be booking again for my birthday next year. Great views of Siletz Bay out of the rooms. Rooms are clean but you can tell its a older building.
Great location, walking distance to quite a bit right off the interstate to head north and south appreciated the free breakfast and coffee every morning. The staff were great stayed for a week needs a little update rooms with new carpet otherwise fantastic really enjoyed the balcony views! Thank you Melissa for dealing w our room changes b/c of unfortunate additional family circumstances. We will be back!
The rooms are a little dated(didnt have a USB port anywhere so dont forget your wall plug) but overall very clean. The staff is friendly and the hotel itself is in a great location, just a sidewalk separates you from the beach.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This place is a filthy disaster! It’s like if the Bates motel and the Rosebud hotel had a baby. 1) smoking area right next to the entrance filled the hall with scent of smoke 2) unfriendly staff 3) room with stained chairs and dirty odor 4)the jetted tub was filthy and cracked, and the plug was rusty and found on the side of the tub 5) dirty, outdated sofa 6) WORST OF ALL… THEY “ACCIDENTALLY” CHECKED US OUT IN THE COMPUTER A DAY EARLY!!! - A man walked into our room while my husband was standing there in his underwear and I was still in bed! We yelled “wrong room!” and the man left. 2 minutes later we get a call from the front desk asking what we were still doing in our room. The lady argued with my husband until he proved we paid for 2 nights. It was horrible. HOW DID THEY NOT KNOW THE ROOM HADN’T BEEN CLEANED??? I went to the front desk and there was the couple, scowling at us. The staff was rude and said “our General Manager checked you out early” and “it’s our general manager’s fault”. Totally threw her boss under the bus, and the staff member wouldn’t even look at me. They had to give us new keys because ours were deactivated when they gave our room away. We got to finish our stay, and the other couple had to be relocated to another hotel. Horrible experience. I felt so awful for us AND the other couple who paid for the room they thought was available. I will never go back.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast was the perfect way to start the day! My room was very clean, but sadly had damage to furniture, carpet, and walls due to guests poor treatment.
First day that we got there they had plumbing problems a room with a little bit damp we left and we came back with the reservation but they over booked and the person in charge of the front the manager was not really making any sense we love the location of the hotel but unfortunately because of the issues that they have we couldnt stay a second time
The bed was nice. The only crazy thing was the parking lot😲 I would stay here again especially because pets are allowed.
Decent location. Rooms were clean for dog friendly rooms, except furniture was worn. A couple issues as follows. I didn’t see anything that said pet fee of $25/day until arrival. A room titled “ocean view” is incorrect as it a bay view where water may or may not be visible. Ours was a non-smoking room, yet people from the room below smoked on their balcony, which meant our balcony and whole room was full of their smoke. For the $, I was disappointed.
Great location and very nice professional employees. Awesome bay view as a bonus. The only issue we had was the room was quite dated. Furniture was kinda worn as well as the carpet. Jacuzzi tub was a bit loud but worked fine. Bed was very hard, for some people Im sure that wouldnt be a problem but I prefer a softer bed. The room was good sized. I would have given this place all 5 stars but the room definitely needs updating.
Nice location right on Siletz Bay and good customer service. My room was fine (I was upgraded to a very large one with a jacuzzi tub but I didnt use it). The furniture was uncomfortable but the bed was ok.
First off, the location is amazing. Gorgeous sunsets and easy access to beach and town. However, our stay was not pleasant. The person who lives there vacuumed every night at 11pm right outside our door. Plus they walked up and down the hallway a lot. It was really nosey. The people working there smoked right outside main door. The sheets were plastic feeling and comforter was hot and heavy. Not ideal for a room with no AC in the summer. I had to use our beach towels for a blanket. Also people had bonfires on beach right outside the slider which cause smoke to go in our room but it was too hot to close the door. The breakfast was ok. Just waffles with a ton of sugar topping options and cereal. Would have been nice to have healthier options.
Great location, very average accommodations. It wasnt exactly dirty, but the couch in the room was really dingy looking and the surfaces were kind of sticky. You had to call the front desk and ask for any cleaning of any sort, and the place smelled a little funky. The continental breakfast was as minimalist as it gets. Despite the great view of Siletz Bay, we wont be going back there.
Absolutely wonderful location and view. We could see all kinds of wildlife playing in the Bat outside our window. Beds were comfortable, linens were nice. We were on the 4th floor in a corner room and it was very quiet and peaceful. The only reason I didn’t give it 4 stars was because the breakfast bar was rather lame and the furniture is pretty dated. Other than that, it was wonderful.
Enjoyed this place! Clean room, comfy bed and fabulous view. Friendly staff. I’ll be back!
We have stayed here a few times. I usually stay in a room with a balcony and jetted tub. So this time I didnt get the room we usually get but got a jetted tub rm. Which was OK. But the jetted tub tile has a hole in it and so does the couch. No, air-conditioning the rm was muggy and hot . We didnt sleep well at all!The bed was comfortable but pillows are flat flat. Even using 2 pillows didnt help. My advice read the Policy! I did try and cancel 2 days before but was told it was to late and I will lose my money. Then the operator was like byeeee!
The motel(should be hotel) was perfect, the counter staff saved our day, but wait, the employees or family that are running the offshore reservation service should be schooled in customer service. Absolutely no concept of courtesy. With a call back I pressed 1 instead of 2 and asked my question, instead of telling me to call back and press 2, they just hung up. Just what you need when your driving down the hwy.
Our room had garbage behind the Tv/entertainment center..a soda bottle and trash. Need some new pillows..terribly flat.
Nice room, seemed clean. Couch definitely had some wear and tear. Beach access with nice area for water geeking, bonfire, or whatever. The keys to the door were super annoying, though one of the staff said they were going ro get new ones soon. It would take like 5-10 swipes to get it open. Push it this way or that, but it did seem to work better towards the end of the trip, so we kind of made a game out of it.Good food for breakfast, nice staff; would stay again.
OYO customer service is Beyond terrible! The fact I cant contact the hotel directly is absolutely ridiculous! OYO somehow cancelled my original booking and I had to call to rebook I was treated horribly I was not offered anything for my inconvenience and boy let me tell you It was very inconvenient . I got hung up on yelled at ,spoken to disrespectfully. The only reason we keep coming back is because the hotel staff at hotel are pleasant and we love the location. As far as oyo customer service BIG THUMBS DOWN DO BETTER TRAIN YOUR CALL CENTER BETTER AND TREAT RETURING CUSTOMERS WITH THE RESPECT WE DESERVE. . MOST OF ALL WHEN YOU MAKE A MISTAKE AND CANCEL A BOOKING OFFER THE GUEST A FREE NIGHT , AN UPGRADDED ROOM SOMETHING ! BOO
Rooms were old and not upgraded.Bathroom-No grab bars.Chairs-Naugahyde ripped and wobbly due to sliders missing on chair legs.Coffie Table: broken.Decor: Colors clashedParking: TERRIBLE. My wife is handicapped and the handicapped spaces were taken up by non handicapped cars. When my wife complained about it, she was shot by the front deck person on her request to have the cars moved/ticketed.We will never come back to this motel/hotel again or recommend it to our friends.
Parking was horrible. Had to park up above leaving us to use stairs which is not good for handicap person. Door to balcony did not lock screen would not shut all the way. Couch was filthy room smelled no clock or alarm clock in room as advertised. Beautiful view but accommodations not worth $510 for 2 nights 2 people. Check in staff was nice. Check out staff was rude. Love Lincoln City Taft district. Mobi mat was such a blessing!! Hadnt been able to walk on beach almost 8 yrs. Such a wonderful experience. Will look for other accommodations next visit. Sad 😔
Planned a trip a week in advance, book a nice room with king bed and jacuzzi, the day of the trip they canceled my room, because I booked through Expedia, and wouldnt honor it. So I had to book a basic double queen room since I was 3hrs away. The person that I talked to said it was my fault for not booking direct with them and said what do you want me to do about it. I wont be staying here or booking with them ever again.
The hospitality was welcoming. The rim was clean and the view fantastic. The fresh air all night was sooo amazing. I loved the balcony. The view kept changing with the tide. Birds, the bay, logs, people, stars. It was so relaxing. It was close to Salishan for a quiet evening of hot chocolate and a fireplace to sit by. In the morning, I could walk to a full breakfast at Shuckers.
Bad experience! Horrible service from management! We stayed for a night here and the rooms had no hot water when we got back from afternoon on beach. 4 of us needed showers to head out to our planned dinner, and upon realizing called front desk. They said it was getting fixed. So we cancelled dinner plans. Hours later still nothing then told it will be fixed in the morning. So we cleaned up as good as we could and went to bed, still sandy n dirty and now upset. Come morning still no hot water and front desk said they are working on it. Everyone was upset so we ended up checking out and getting another hotel room so we could get cleaned up and finish our weekend getaway. Upon checkout they said they would give a discount credit for inconvenience. Which was only about $18 off. Slap in face really. So here we are 5 weeks later with no credit back even after calling again. We would have been fine with a room voucher/credit for another night stay in future as we are in Lincoln city very often. But nothing! Will definitely not recommend to anyone that asks.
Good rooms a bit dated but excellent location for the bay and food options overall a good place to stay they do have breakfast but it is minimal waffles cereals coffee juices. The staff are very nice and the rooms are well priced for what they are. They do also have a fireplace and that is quite nice.
Great budget beachfront lodging! I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. Location is wonderful, quiet and peaceful yet a short walk to MO’s. Bed was super comfortable and shower had great water temp and pressure. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for 5 stars and spa type towels keep looking but if you want a lovely view and basic amenities this is the place for you.
This was a lovely independent property That is still operated by an amazing local team. Melissa and her staff do everything possible to make your stay great. Unfortunately they signed on with OYO and now have to live with the reviews of OYOs corporate customer service and reservation system. If you are looking for a Sheraton or Hilton, just keep looking. If you want location, location, location...with an elevator, water views and breakfast for a really great price, then this is your place. It is a clean, comfortable property that is upgrading all the time. You can clam dig and crab in front of the hotel. The water is shallow, warms quick and great for kids. You can walk right out on the beach and have a bonfire. There are multiple restaurants, art studios, food truck city, pubs and a full service grocery all within walking distance. Of special note the new Pelican Brewery location, Hwy 101 burgers, a throwback to the 70s and Snug Harbor Pub. The complaints here are with OYO corporate and not the hotel. Depart for checkin with thier local direct number in hand to avoid the headaches. Enjoy the beauty of the area, have fun and make new friends. Keep the money you save and upgrade to a balcony room. Watch the wildlife with a cup of coffee in hand. Stroll the beach and look for treasures. Make memories. This is what travel should be, relaxed and unpretentious.
Toilet had issues, remedy brought plunger to room, toilet still has issues. Mattresses on beds were very hard, did not get a good night sleep. View was good. 2nd stay on 6/21/24, toilet was clogged,no way to get ahold of front desk, no phone in room, have to go down to.lobby,tv was giving no signal, front desk said they didnt know how to fix it, fixed it myself.beds are not comfortable.
I was there for the 4th of July and my room overlooked the Bay with a view of the fireworks, which were great. However, everything else was awful. The hotel is very run down and is a dump. The room did not feel clean. The breakfast provided was beyond pitiful. In a typical year I stay in hotels 50 nights a year and I cant remember a worse experience. Outrageously expensive, even considering the holiday. Avoid this place.
Actually 3.5 stars. If you DONT expect there to be some issues or some elements that are a little rough around the edges for a motel on the Oregon Coast that charges around $200/night during the high season, thats on you. For what it is, we enjoyed ourselves, and our dogs first trip to the beach was very convenient and comfortable.
Hotel needs a makeover. It is looking a bit rough around the edges. Washer/Dryer was out of order. The sign on the machine looked like it was there a very long time.
Melissa at the front desk is so friendly and customer-oriented! She made our stay all the way from Idaho feel like home. The hotel is clean, comfortable, super accommodating to families with pets and has a great on-the-go breakfast spread. The best part is the stunning bay view right from the room!We cant wait to come back!!
Great value for the price. Amazing location and the staff was so sweet and nice! There were a few minor issues in my room but nothing I couldnt handle, I would for sure go back and stay again. It was my first ever solo trip, and I felt safe and comfortable being alone. Was a relaxing trip.
We got a decent room at a great price. All the rooms are oceanfront, and balconies available in some. It was awesome to fall asleep with the patio door open and hear the waves just outside. Room was clean, big enough for two, and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again.
We had a horrible experience here. Unbeknownst to us there is a 50 dollar deposit they dont tell you about. It takes 2 weeks to get the money back. They charged our card putting us in overdraft instead of letting us know they were charging this, so we could have avoided the overdraft. Very frustrating and upsetting. I called the hotel when it didnt come off and they told me it was my problem because I Booked through a different site. So never again Oyo
We have our 30lb Aussie mini with us and even offered completely pet towels and bowls in case we left some behind. The beach is right there outside and if you go past the dock it goes for miles and great location for combers looking for agatea and seaglass. Mos is within walking distance and so is taft burgers on the corner. The rooms were very clean and well stocked. Completely breakfast was a nice touch and checkout time was 11pm which is fantastic for vacation.
Stayed here one night. Front desk lady was very welcoming and she upgraded my room to balcony room on the beach. Very happy with their service and cleanliness. Multiple tv channels for night of relaxation. People also fish on the shore right next door to Mos and a hotel guest caught a 15 lb Chinook Salmon while I was there. I wouldnt mind that for dinner! Breakfast is minimal and needs to be improved but otherwise a great place.
Beautiful views, the staff was super accommodating, free breakfast in the morning, light snacks for sale, and close to some really awesome spots for eating and late night drinks! Sadly no a.c just a ceiling fan and the window, but if its winter then no worries there. I try to be nice and take off the sheets and pillow cases for them and one of the pillows had a huge yellow stain on it and the other had a big hole. Might be time for them to change those, I definitely wouldnt pay more than I did but I would totally go here again!
One of the best locations in Lincon City (Taft District). Best bang for your buck as far as hotels go. All bay view rooms have great views and the staff is friendly. Lots of food within walking distance and a great place to find agates. The included breakfast is more like a snack bar with breakfast bars and cereal. Some rooms definitely need basic maintenance and upgrades which in turn could increase the value of the rooms. Yet again if the value is there you can look past most cosmetic issues.
We loved this hotel. We stayed in the Captains Quarters, which was very roomy and nice. We stayed for 9 days. Everything was great EXCEPT the parking situation. Because of the parking lot not allowing for larger sized vehicles we will not be booking here again. The breakfast was always the same old stuff. Got old quick after just a week.
Our room was a luxury king. Great view. Quiet. Needed upgraded furniture especially uncomfortable chair and couch. Bed was wonderful. The two overhead lights were non functional so sitting and reading at night was impossible unless you read in bed which sidetable lights worked. The rug was well worn with a saftey issue of a large tear and fraying issue directy in front of the jacuzzi. Caught it twice with my shoe. The staff was very helpful with a noise issue and did respond regarding the above issues but were unable to correct those issues. Location, parking, and access to beach was phenomenal. Upgrading will make this a 4+.
The rooms are clean and have a wonderful view. The breakfast is plentiful and good coffee. The staff are great; we love Melissa she was so good to us!We were traveling with my dogs and cat; they let them stay with a deposit and small daily fee.
We loved our room and our view. Unfortunately weather wasnt as cooperative so we couldnt enjoy the balcony. We would definitely come back again. The beds were comfy! We thought the staff were quite nice and helpful! The breakfast was so-so. Wish there had been fruit and hard boiled eggs and danish but we arent complaining. The waffles were good and we had yogurt each day.The one thing I would suggest is that the outside areas be kept cleaner! Everywhere we looked including where we took our dog to do her business, there were cigarette butts and trash....plastic gloves, masks, coffee cups, food container.
Excellent view, great price and the bed was super comfortable! The room was perfect for our needs, and the breakfast had a great variety. My only complaint is that I tried calling to find more details the week before my booking and the line kept going dead before I could talk to a person.
Location is perfect, right off Hwy 101, but still quiet. Right on Siletz bay, so great to walk on beach. Beds are super comfortable! My only issue was the room clearly smelled like a smoking room, even though all rooms are non smoking. Overall a great value.
Super beautiful view! Rooms were average. Nothing too special. The stay overall was well. Except they refused to give me or mail me my cash deposit back. They just pocketed it even though nothing happened to the room. Highly debatable if Ill ever go back due to this.
Extremely clean, affordable, great views and immediate access to the beach which includes a Bay AND the ocean. The beach there is magical! full of fishermen, sea shells, washed up trees, and beautiful sand. There’s even a beach kitty that will gladly take free pets. In the mornings you can hear and see the seals splashing in the bay while the ocean crashes right next door. There’s a dock right next door as well which they have set up a Holiday tree and lights all down the path. The staff is amazing. Kind, understanding, and you can tell they take pride in their work.
Relaxing sitting on the bay front balcony was so nice. The beach was just a short walk out the front door. We enjoyed listening to the gulls and in the morning the seals came into the bay and their antics made us laugh.
Great experience as usual, very nice room with a great view, perfect location near our favorite beaches and restaurants, the staff was courteous and helpful. Our favorite place to stay on the Oregon coast, cant wait to stay there again.
We had THE BEST time, here! Myself, Mom, dog. Its our new, official HAPPY PLACE!🧚♀️😁 I made this reservation a year ago, because I knew I wanted to spend my birthday here. It was awesome as always! I stay here, as often as possible. Even the other guests carry the vibe of this place. Highly recommend!
Out-damn-standing customer service! Again! Even with a full lobby on a Spring Break weekend, and short-handed! There was a problem with our reservation (made online-so no fault on hotel staffs part) and the hospitality rock star at the front desk was able to accommodate us, and our dog, anyway. Its a great place, right on the beach, the furniture has seen better days, but its clean and we noticed some nice improvements since our last stay, the beds are comfy with nice bedding and fluffy pillows, and all of the staff we interacted with were super friendly and accommodating. Extra pillows? No problem! Extra blankets? No problem! Oh, and the free breakfast was great too!
Love this place. It was pretty busy due to a holiday weekend. The staff kept everything perfect, went above and beyond when I needed anything and graciously changed my room upon arrival. Highly recommend this place to stay. Close to everything.👍
We really enjoyed our short stay here. It is right on the bay and the water comes up to the wall just below our balcony. It was a bit stormy and wind was blowing hard but the windows and sliding door sealed tightly when closed all the way. No howling or whistling. Loved that it was just steps away from the popular Mos seafood restaurant and Burger 101, both our favs. A simple continental breakfast was included for which we found adequate with orange juice, bagels, waffle iron to make fresh waffles, and breakfast bars. Coffee available in the room. The desk staff were very friendly and I felt valued as a guest. The room was very clean. Our king bed was more than firm however I slept well. All parts of the room were very well maintained except for the door that needed some extra effort to make sure it was closed. An elevator to access all 4 floors. We stayed in the King suite and the room was very spacious, with a sofa, chair, small coffee table and a small two chair dinette as well as a mini fridge and microwave. A very pleasant stay and will book again for sure.
Great value! My room was clean, my bed was comfy, the view was beautiful, staff was friendly and helpful and this place is dog-friendly! A little touch I really appreciated was that the cups and glasses in the rooms are ceramic and glass, not disposable plastic. I’ll definitely stay here agai.
Our stay at Siletz was good and we might stay there again. The location is excellent if you don’t mind not being close to the center of Lincoln City. It is located on a quiet bay with lots of sandy beaches which are great for strolls and walking the dog when the tide is out. There are a few good restaurants close by so food is not a problem. Our room was quiet—we didn’t hear our neighbors either above, below or to the sides. Unfortunately, like many businesses there was a labor shortage so rooms were not serviced during our three night stay, but we were told up front about the situation. Extra towels were provided on request and trash was taken if placed outside the door. The room was clean but well worn with well-used furniture and carpet The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical for these Corona virus times. Adequate at best. Parking was available but the spaces are very compact so not much room to maneuver. We always found a space.Front desk service could be spotty because they were having to perform duties usually performed by others as well as their own. Attitudes were good despite these stresses.Overall not a bad stay, just not a great one.
The room was spacious and clean. We got a balcony and a beautiful view. The ceiling fan was a nice touch. The bed, was incredibly firm, although that may be just my opinion since Im used to my extra plushy pillow top. Wed go back for sure.
Room was old and worn. Continental breakfast was severely lacking. View from room was great but furniture was very worn out. Couch cushions had no substance. Coffee table was scraped up. No counter in bathroom. Sink and counter was in sleeping area. When taking a shower there was no place to put clothes. One of the sinks had no plug to close, the other, it was difficult to shut off water spigot. Could definitely be better
Our stay here was loud and uncomfortable. The bed was the hardest bed I have ever slept on. Harder than sleeping on the ground camping. We all woke up sore from head to toe. The pillows were hard as a rock and totally unusable. I had to fold up my sweater and sleep on that because it was more comfortable. The walls are paper thin and people are loud with kids running, jumping, and screaming until after 11pm. Be prepared to hear every stomping footstep, doors slamming, etc. at all hours of the night. There were some nice folks staying here and others who made it feel less safe. The breakfast is very limited and they ran out of many items halfway through service. The rooms are rundown. The only redeeming qualities are the beachfront location (which was hard to enjoy after terrible nights of sleep) and the people who work there are all really nice. None of the issues were the fault of the staff. I still I would not recommend staying here with so many better options nearby and would not be able to stay here again.
Fabulous reception at the front desk! I have a long bed crew cab truck, and the clerk offered to have a guest with a small car move to another spot that I couldnt turn into instead of parking on the street! My 4 star on the room is only because they were pretty basic, no frills. BUT, the room was clean, bed was very comfortable. I will definitely stay again on my next trip.Ive never had anyone try and make a parking space for my vehicle. Thank you!
Omg, where do I start. Management is just not working. We didnt get the room we booked. Then they gave us a room with no balcony. Then we get to the room they gave us and opened the door and the room was dirty. We stood in the hallway for at least 40 minutes. Then they gave us another room which they told us earlier they were booked and that room had a fan and a TV which took us a day in a half to get them to work. The night we checked in the hotel desk clerk was going around to rooms asking when the people checked in. The computer was down. People were walking in on guests. Because they double booked the room. Breakfast they had no cream cheese for the bagels. Terrible continental breakfast. We will never go back. There are alot of hotels that are well maintained and managed. OYO bought them out. OYO sucks
The service was excellent because the front desk gal kept working with me despite the fact, the key cards would NOT work! 3x in a one night stay, with 2 different cards. ( Oh , we do it all the time. Since traveling for a living - So do I!!!! Its the place.- not me. ) However, The place tries really hard!! 5 stars for effort! The rooms were clean, the location is OUT OF THIS WORLD- STELLAR.Ɓreakfast, bare minimum. Not hot. Tòo much sugar. Price was good. Hot water seemed fine.
Ive stayed at motel 6 that were nicer. The room had a bad smell ( so much that I had to buy air freshener) Very dated furniture. It was so gross I didnt even want to use the shower. Went for birthday and was extremely disappointed. Staff was not the friendliest either Definitely not worth the $300 plus price tag. The view. Was ok but thats it. Do not recommend!
I requested a specific room when I booked and was told that I would have the room I requested. When I got there they had moved me to a different room and said there was nothing they could do about it. The sinks wouldn’t drain, the toilet seat Had hair on it and was so old that the paint was wore off. The table was sticky and the chairs were filthy. I had to put a bath towel over it before we sat on it. The balcony was filthy and had not been cleaned there was other peoples popcorn kernels and food crumbs all over it. We had to call the police at midnight because the people next-door were fighting and screaming and slamming doors. The people above us were so loud every time they took a step it caused me to have a headache. My relaxing vacation turned into more of a nightmare. I would not recommend and will not be back. Thoroughly disappointed.
Room looked great until I went into the bathroom and saw the deep dirt on the floor. Toilet ran just a little all night. Unplugged the fridge to sleep.Suggest calling the hotel direct to reserve your room if you are bringing a dog.
Its right on the bay with beautiful views! The only thing we didnt like was that for the 10 days we stayed we had to get 19 room keys. It was just a little frustrating. They have a small breakfast bigger than a granola bar, ungrounded parking for those who are in the back of the hotel and upper parking for those on the higher floors! Employees were wonderful, extremely helpful and nice when we needed our new cards!!! Pet friendly and all around great time!! Try Mos right next door!
When we checked in, lady at front desk had to make sure “rooms were cleaned and presentable”. We got to our room and the balcony door was open - probably to air out pet smell. ( we had a pet friendly room). There were carpet in the room, not sure why in a pet friendly room. The carpet felt damp and smelled like urine. Pets could not be kept in room alone “because of barking”.Room was out dated and furniture was old and dirty. Bed hard as a rock. Bath tub was not cleaned and shower had no pressure.Key card stopped workingBreakfast was a joke 😕 I asked for creamer and all the had was powdered creamer…really?View Was nice…that’s only good thing about it.
We love staying here! The staff are all so amazing. They really go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay. They truly care about their customers and it shows. We have been staying here over the past 2 years when we visit Lincoln city and we plan to come for many more!
The staff was courteous and the view was nice but thats where it ends. We rented the king suite for our anniversary night away from the kids and couldnt have been more disappointed. For the price we certainly expected more. The furniture hasnt been changed in 30 years, it was stained and extremely Incomfortable. The table surfaces were dinged and scratched and would have a hard time being sold in a thrift store. The carpet has likely never been cleaned since the hotel opened and was a little disgusting to walk barefoot on. Last of all the bed, it would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. Ive had better beds (and rooms) at motel 6 for $200 less per night. Well never stay here again
Love this place. People were very nice. The room was clean and spacious. 2 queens, a couch with coffee table, a dining table with two chairs, fridge and microwave. We had a small balcony on the 4th floor with an incredible view. All this for a very reasonable price. Two thumbs up. We will be back.😁
The room was decent and the view was great. It was nice to be able to go out on a balcony and drink coffee and look down at the sand in the bay. The downside was the bed. It was extremely firm and uncomfortable. Very old-school continuous coil bed that had no gift to it. When I asked the management staff for a mattress topper they were all being used. I wound up sleeping on the couch for the second night because I couldn’t stand that bed. Other than that the staff was nice and it was an enjoyable stay. The room was slightly dated but for the price it was well worth the stay. It was in close proximity to a few restaurants but a little far away from the Lincoln city outlets. All in all it was an OK stay.
Nice location as it is easy access to the beach. The hotel itself is old and shows it. Our side lamp had no bulb in it and the sink drain was stuck in the closed position. I crawled underneath to fix the drain myself. We had the unfortunate luck to arrive when they had just lost an employee and was very short staffed for housekeeping. We were told check in was at 4pm but because of being short staffed they couldnt guarantee our room would be ready then. When we arrived back at the lobby it was filled with guests waiting to see if the rooms were ready. We were there for nearly an hour waiting and then got our room. We really did enjoy being able to sit in the chairs on the deck and watch the sunset.
It was an older place, but clean. The tv had a green squiggly line in it and the screen door didnt shut all the way, but it had coffee 😁. Awesome view of the ocean and bay from the 4th floor. My granddaughter loved the elevator. Nice selection in the continental breakfast area. Good price point as well.
Not only has the hotel a great location and superior rooms. It was Melisa, the guest manager who made our stay wanderful by helping us to enjou our stay from day one. She gave us tons of ideas what to do a was always ready for a friendly and amuzing conversation. On the lastvday, she boiked our crab catch which crowned our experience in tge Siletz Bay Beachfront Hotel.
Alright price with a great view of the bay. Jet bath tub was a lot of fun and the room was clean. Furniture was dated with scratches and holes in the couch but we were in a dog friendly room. Breakfast was very motel yogurt, oatmeal, toast, and 1 waffle maker to share meant it was more of a snack than a breakfast plus no milk for coffee or cereal. Located right next to Mos and the beach for an easy bay walk to the ocean waves. Overall a good experience.
Management did a great job of working with challenges to give us the best value and overall experience during our stay. Excellent on cost vs. value; clean, comfortable rooms if a little worn, a view. The breakfast was very rudimentary but not expected at the price.
This place was great! We stayed here for two nights and the Siletz Bay is our favorite location in Lincoln City! The balcony view was beautiful! The room was very clean, beds were comfortable and the breakfast options were a great bonus. Staff was very friendly too! Will definitely stay here again when in the area!
Great view and price! Property was nice and quiet in the evening. Unfortunately the room was not very clean. Bits of food on glassware provided in the room from a previous guest. Definitely avoided the stained and dirty couch in the room as well. Mattress was hard as a rock. Staff was so casually dressed without name tags, we weren’t so sure who was staff or a guest at the property.
Not impressed. They would not entertain early check in though it was apparent that some rooms had been cleaned and available. No a/c. Front desk staffer not all that friendly. Front door was locked after 10 am and had to find a back door that would accept and read the key card. Bed was like sleeping on a board. Tired room furnishings. It was expensive too and not worth the value. Phone number only went to central reservations and no number on website. Asked desk staff why I couldn’t get through directly. She said number was only listed on the business card sitting on the front desk. Not helpful.
Had a terrible experience at the hotel.Had a reservation then had to cancel due to extreme weather. The hotel appeared accommodating saying that if I would like to rescedule the next night,I would not be charged for the missed night. So I did. Then behind my back the hotel tried to debit my account for the missed Night. So beware this Overseas Indian owned hotel will lie to their customersIf it benefits them and they do not share the same values of American run businesses such as honesty and integrity.
Old broken scratched up furniture. ROCK HARD mattress (so bad I could barely walk the next day my back hurt so bad, not exaggerating ) and a dirty bathroom floor. It also took about 20 try’s for our key to work every time we came into our room. Asked front desk for help and they said they fixed it but it continued to do the same thing. Also no snack vending machines, The only thing good about the room was the view. As we were leaving I heard staff arguing with several other guests about how hard the mattresses were, they were saying the mattresses were new and expensive. We all called there bs and limped out to our cars wishing we would have done better research and not waisted a large amount of money for the worst nights sleep of our lives.
I called the local number to ask a few questions and make a reservation. I was transferred to a reservation agent who clearly was not on site. I asked to be transferred to the actual front desk, and the agent refused. I said I had location-specific questions, and was once again refused to speak to someone locally. I was quoted a price with this agent, which was not the price I received when I got to the front desk. I explained this to the person at the desk, and she said that this new booking system was problematic, and that the bookings were being handled from a foreign country, and they had been having problems, but there was nothing they could do about honoring the price I had been quoted when I made the reservation. This property had previously been independent, and is now an OYO product. This place is in a great location, but I would be hesitant to book with this company again, due to the fact that there is no local support or consistency with pricing.
Just a much-needed getaway. Weve been visiting the Siletz Bay Lodge for a decade and its improved so much over the past year or so. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly and kind, the breakfast is way more than expected and of course, the views are spectacular.
I am only giving this place 2 stars because where Melissa was amazing, the room presented well but one sink didnt drain, the other wouldnt stop dripping, I had to tighten the shower head before I could use it and then the water that came out had zero pressure. It literally drizzled out of the facet. The furniture in the room I had looked like it was acquired second hand and half was cracked/warped/falling apart. Then dial 0 any time and some one is ALWAYS available, total bs. No one is available if you really need something and quite possibly I saw them hiding in the dark in the office when I took my stuff to my car.
For the price, the room and furniture was understandably rather dinged up and bed was on the firm side. The view cannot be beat and it was incredible to get to watch seals from my window upon waking up. However, staff could be a little short and the breakfast was really lacking. I understand, it’s a complimentary breakfast, but I have gestational diabetes and the only options provided were incredibly carb heavy (no protein or even milk for your coffee provided at all) and had my blood sugar through the roof. The jetted tub and view were absolutely worth it…I’d give three and a half stars if I could but there were just a couple ways that the experience fell short altogether.
Service was good. Only problem, which Im still trying to figure out was the discount (AAA or AARP either) refusal. I did my reservations on the website. I am hearing impaired and can only do business by internet contact. There was no space to enter my reservation inform. When we got to check-in I asked the clerk and was told Oh, no well only acknowledge discounts over the phone. WHAT!?! I then asked the clerk to just enter in our discount information on premises. She wouldnt do that either saying Oh, you cant enter discount information after the reservation was made! So what? Deaf people are not allowed to use their discount information at your location? Not encouraging customers to use the service there. :(J.L. Hurlburt
The hotel manager is a very sweet lady, very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. Also, the lady with the blingy mask that works mornings at breakfast was very sweet, we had a few early morning conversations with her. She also is very friendly.Hotel has older furnishings. Dont expect luxury. The furniture has dents and dings and it pretty old, think 70s style. The great service from the staff makes it easy to overlook the short comings of the furnishings. The view is great! If you have mobility issues, no problem, it is a very short walk to the beach, like 10 steps. The hotel has an elevator. Everything was pretty clean. Masks are needed during this time. If you know you are kind of snooty, this place might not be for you. If you are more easy going and love friendly people, you will enjoy your stay! I did hear they are renovating, so if we stay again, I will give an after update regarding the furnishings. This was our 2nd stay here. Oh... also there is free breakfast!
We absolutely LOVE this place!! We use to always stay closer to the casino when we would come stay in Lincoln City, but after trying this place out, we have made it our new home away from home. The vibe, the area, THE STAFF! And if youre coming to look for glass floats, this is the PRIME spot in my opinion. Thank you to Melissa and the rest of the staff for always making us feel so welcomed and for all your hard work!! We love you guys 😁❤
I really wish I would have read all the reviews before I made a 2 night reservation here. The accommodations are very minimal as in no extra blankets, minimal pillows, towels and washcloths. The room was not that clean. The walls are very thin and we could hear rooms beside us and above. The beds are awful!!! Hard as a rock and impossible to get a restful sleep. As for the staff? The lady that is on front desk duty in the afternoon and evening is very rude and full of attitude. Customer service, friendly atmosphere and welcoming attitude is not something she is familiar with but management seems to tolerate that in the staff. The list goes on. Investigate staying elsewhere. In reading the reviews, the management response seems to be the canned version with promises of improvements that have been made for many months only to be ignored and round filed. My advice? New management and staff that is oriented toward customer service.
We enjoyed our stay, upon check in the desk clerk asked if I would like to upgrade to a room with a balcony and I did and I am so glad I did. I loved sitting out on the balcony watching the ocean waves and watching the seals in the bay. Our dog loved sun bathing on the balcony. And just a short walk down to the beach. We will definitely come back again. Our kids loved it.
I actually really like it here. The price was great, the staff is very accommodating, the rooms are very clean and pretty spacious! We have a balcony with ocean view ... really pretty! Breakfast and free parking is another perk. The only reason Im deducting one star is, the hair dryer doesnt work and the shower makes a pretty loud whistling sound when turned on. Otherwise, I think its a great place if you are looking for a clean and budget friendly stay.
Friendly staff. GM was very accommodating. Clean room and beds were comfortable. Reasonable rates. Will most definitely be returning to this hotel on our next trip to the beach.
We have always wanted to stay here as it is close to all that we enjoy. Finally booked it and I can say it was a interesting time. The room could use some updating but I believe it has just been bought by OYO so I am hoping it will get updated.Had a outside chair brake on us but the staff came straight away and came up with 2 new chairs..
I reserved a double queen room with a balcony and ocean view. When we arrived we were saddened to discover we got a bay view room.We paid extra for the ocean view. Our tv didnt work. The hair dryer didnt work. The folks at the front desk were not the most astute people.Check in time is not until 4pm. Check out is 10am. They would not budge on the times. We paid for a day and was only given 18 hours.Breakfast was included. It was mediocre at best.I have included a couple of photos showing the ocean view. Super upset because that is the reason we go to the ocean, to see it.
Unfortunately. I have to go public with this one. Beach front veiw was great. What was not great was both beds with blood on the sheets. Its as if they didnt even change the sheets! I found 2 top sheets and 1 flat sheet with blood spots on them... so I went down got new linnen.... come back up 1 bed had a huge blood spot on the fitted sheet. I told front desk when I first noticed. All they said was I bet I know who that was! When I went to check out I brought up my concern... Unfortunately you booked through a 3rd party. They will give you the refund. Hmmm well nothing came of anything. I called the booking customer service number, he was great accept the email i got back saying nothing came of this matter.... BLOOD ON THE SHEETS!! REALLY?
OYO should be rated 0 stars. It took me ten minutes and several phone calls to finally get someone to help. The motel should get 3 stars. Wednesday breakfast was great supply. Thursday there was very little left from Wednesday. But the desk clerk that was working on the 17th deserves a 4 star. She did everything she could to get us into or room on Wednesday.
The Manager was great as well as the staff. The facilities are a bit dated and in need of updates. I prefer being able to contact the hotel directly but the OYO site does not have a way to do that so I went there and talked with the manager directly to see what the rooms, facilities and location were like. It was very close to our next days activities so it was satisfactory.
The 1 King Bed, Balcony, Ocean View room was nice with a view of the water and in a great location near restaurants, long stretch of beach, couch was nice so we didnt have to sit on the bed to watch tv. Expedia does not advertise a free breakfast but there is a free generic breakfast with all the usual carby things but no where to eat it besides going back to your room so by the time you get there the food is cold. There was no bar soap in the bathroom to wash my hands with just shower gel but when i asked for some, they were able to provide it. The beach is pretty great with people fishing and crab catching, dogs and sounds of the surf
The staff was great! Super friendly and helpful. We had only one complaint and it was that the shower in our room only fluctuated been lukewarm and cold. Otherwise, it was a great weekend and it’s a very good place if you’re bringing your dogs! We’ll definitely be staying here again.
It was late when I got to the Beachfront Hotel, and the very nice lady working at the counter already had my paperwork ready and used my first name as I walked in the door, because she was so kind and welcoming it really made the long drive I did that day not so bad. In the morning I got the jetted tub ready with the water and was very disappointed that the jets didnt work this being why my wife and I chose this room. So yes that was disappointing. But the same front desk lady went above and beyond to help us get a credit of our loss. Yes the hotel is a bit older, and its not perfect, but it worth the price. As long as your jetted tub works if that is the room you choose.
I was not pleased for the price I paid. The curtains and drawers were broken, there was not a remote for the tv. Only the bathroom light worked. So it was pretty much lights out when the sun went down. The carpet was torn and coming up. The lady at the front desk was very nice but hard to find. I give it one star because the hot tub had hot water both times we used it.
Booked this room via booking.com and clearly did not do my due diligence in finding reviews. The walls were damaged and patched. The bed felt like a concrete slab. And the toilet was child-sized. Overall, I did not enjoy my stay here and did not feel clean or comfortable in the room.
I reserved a king bed beach front suite for 2 nights, the room was not facing the beach. We did get the king bed, I think it was built from concrete. We couldnt even sleep. I talked to the front desk, I was told the manager is at Costco getting mattress toppers. I was told I will be getting a refund about $300 for the night we didnt stay but I only got $120. I tried calling, no one answered or called back. I wouldnt be making any reservations here an less you like a rock hard bed.
Furniture is a bit worn down (chair caster broke when it was sat in) and we had a hole in the wall that had recently been patched but not painted. Parking lot was VERY tight to park a truck in and theres no turn around. Luckily there were a few empty parking spots so we could get turned around and parked. Plus side, they allow dogs, room seemed clean, we had a view from the room, and the beach nearby was great! Caution though, if you have a balcony room, I would not lean on the vinyl railings. It didnt seem like they were very secure.Im giving it 4 stars because we did enjoy our time there, but if there were an option, I think I would give it a 3.7.
Big room with a wonderful view. Walk to the beach or Mo’s for seafood (or both). Quiet, clean and comfortable. The furniture is a little beat up but having a couch, a table and chairs, and two comfy beds more than makes up for it. We will stay here again
Staff at check in was rude. Room was referred to as a suite but was far from it. The bed was absolutely hard as a rock. I have stayed in Army barracks with softer beds. There was no light or plug in on the right side of the bed making it hard to charge a phone or read at night. There were no privacy blinds on the first floor window with a walkway just outside of it. The blinds that were present did not close completely. Upstairs room had a child running back and forth after 11 pm and when we tried to call the desk, all we received was a busy signal. The breakfast offered was bleak and lacked quality. Lastly, and the worst of all, the room had fleas which we and our dog proceeded to get. Avoid this property, the price is not worth the discomfort.
This place is a hidden gem. Its located on the side of the bay, so you get a feeling of the ocean without too much noise of it. But the ocean side beach is only a 5 minute walk away. Perfect for a mid-week quiet getaway. Another plus, is this is a very pet-friendly hotel. The room is a little outdated and could some minor renovations. So while there was some things that could be improved, there was a lot to like, so I am giving this hotel a 5 out of 5.
Hotel and location are good. Front desk and rest of staff were very nice and working themselves to the bone. The OYO remote management of this hotel was terrible. First, they advertised a pool and hot tub and had neither. The bigger issue was wasting hours on the phone and online trying to confirm our reservation and despite all that continued to get messages right up until check in that our reservation was about to be cancelled. Hotel was overbooked and some people were still waiting in the lobby at 8:00 PM to check in despite arriving hours earlier. None of this was the fault of onsite staff and I want to emphasize that. They were working relentlessly the entire the time, all the booking and marketing was completely out of their control. So again, despite the decent price, clean rooms and great location, book at your own risk (our experience ended up being fine, but a lot of angry people were in that lobby). Hopefully OYO will get their act together.
The rooms were clean & well set up. The beds are a bit firm for my liking, but some may like that. Love the ocean view watching the birds, cranes, seals, boats, etc.. in the morning & night.*Wished they had someone clean the exterior of the windows every so often because theyre getting covered in bird poop & sea salt build up making them foggy to view through.*Disliked that every smoke alarm in every room of the hotel went off & in our room scaring us awake & there was no fire nor smoke going in there... then later find out that they all went off because someone wasnt paying attention & burnt a bagel in the lobby/kitchenette area!! Only that smoke alarm should have gone off in that room!
This was a very dilapidated motel that was in worse shape than anyplace I have ever been. Ruined carpet, stained coffee table, no service, scary bathroom... no place to eat breakfast and they would not even give us cream for our coffee. We got 2 coffee packets with powdered creamer for our whole stay. At $300.00 a night they should be able to fix the place up and give better service.
We were very excited about staying. Its located on the beach. We were warned about the hard beds. And believe me they are hard!! People werent lying about them being hard! When we walked in at first we didnt notice it we hard to walk farther in we noticed the ripped couch and the hole in the couch. They didnt even try to repair it. Then my husband went to sit in the chair at the table and and it scared him half to death! The chair was supposed to have for rollers and it only had 3 and the front one was missing. And the other dinning chair was the same way it was missing a front roller. This is how cheap this hotel is they cant spend $5.00 to buy new roller for the chairs but the charge a lot for the hotel rooms!!! So he take one of the rollers from the other chair for the first chair so someone can sit in it safely. Oh and the jetted tub looked clean but it wasnt so that made me really mad 😠! We also had problems with our key cards not working. Then he told us its because we went to the beach and sand got on it and we hadnt been to the beach yet. We later had to have someone let us in on the top parking area. And if you stay there 2 days or more they dont pick up your garbage or towels. The only thing good about them is they accept dogs.
Beach front view. Nice rooms with a good size fridge. Shower head was a little noisy but better than a lot of other places. They let us check in a little early and told us next time if the room was ready then there was no need to wait until 4pm. Breakfast had muffins and freshly made waffles. Great family place.
Great views of the bay and ocean. Ive read that the beds were hard and uncomfortable, but they are firm mattresses and actually really good for my back after a full day of traveling. The rooms are clean and the owner was super helpful and nice. Very nice hotel, especially for the cost.
This worked great for my conference. I was able to travel with my dog and enjoy the view at the same time. Staff was very helpful with every encounter. Some of the building could be updated.
I was a little concerned, as I had a friend stay there several weeks earlier and had had a poor experience. However when I arrived, I was greeted by David and Melissa. They were professional, friendly, funny (reflecting my friends and my goofy attitudes) and very welcoming. Our room was clean and the view made me tear up. We had a double queen room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The sunset off our balcony was mostly blocked by Moes and some buildings to the right, but thats to be expected this time of year. We saw a beautiful sunset, other than the sun itself going down. A month ago it would have been fully available.Breakfast was unexpected due to covid, and had more than I would have expected. The gentleman in the morning was helpful and friendly, even making me the most perfect waffle as I was gathering some yogurt and other items for breakfast. The only breakfast suggestion I have is perhaps bagels. There was a lot of individually bagged pieces of bread and some english muffins. I was hopeful when I saw the cream cheese packets in the cooler. Perhaps it was just a single day they did not provide bagels. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. Even the young man in the parking lot was very helpful as I maneuvered a rickety cart to get my luggage out of the car. He was very patient and helpful. It turns out he was an employee coming to work. I was a bit cynical, and admit that I was looking for issues, but I found none. I would absolutely encourage anyone considering this property to go ahead and book. I think you will find it far exceeds your expectations.
Kim was a tremendous help shes good for your business,
