I booked the Oriental massage at Carillon and I have to say Andrea gave me one of the best massage experiences I have ever had. I am a massage aficionado and have gotten massage treatments in many spas and many countries and she was amazing. I would give her 5 stars.I also tried the Thermal experiences and enjoyed them. Ive been on the lookout for water therapy in the US ever since I tried them in Europe. Although the Carillon Thermal experience was good, its not great compared to other parts of the world. I enjoyed the Finnish Sauna and the Steam rooms. The showers were not impressive and the Igloo spat out cool but not cold water. It could be improved with the addition of an ice plunge pool instead of the Igloo. Overall, a good experience.
Recently me and my husband went for a spa day at Carillon Wellness Resort. The spa is a sanctuary of tranquility and rejuvenation. From the moment you step in, youre enveloped in a sense of serenity. The therapists are highly skilled and attentive, ensuring each treatment is personalized to meet your needs. The ambiance is calming, with soothing music and aromatherapy enhancing the experience. The spa offers a variety of luxurious treatments, from traditional massages to innovative wellness therapies, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalized. With its impeccable service and tranquil atmosphere, the spa at Carillon Miami Wellness Resort is a must-visit for anyone seeking ultimate relaxation.
I actually stayed at 1 Home and Hotel and I had been to their Spa and I wanted to try something different, this popped up on my social media feed so me and my friends decided to give a try. The pictures on social are so intriguing and so inviting however the real experience didn’t live up to its potential or the expectations that it gave me on social media, needless to say I was very very disappointed. I will say the actual massage was good but the spa itself was a big disappointment and not worth the money I spent. The coffee machine was out of order, the quiet rooms were an absolute joke. A lot of the different showers were not working but that why it’s all called an experience. If your use to a certain level of Luxury with spa I strongly advise you go somewhere else it’s not the money they charge if I want Luxury I pay for Luxury and I expect to have Luxury.
The spa was nice. I e bored all of the amenities. The steal room wasnt working, so I was disappointed about that. My services were great. Even though I had to ask to be escorted to the locker rooms to put my things away, I enjoyed my spa services. The stay? Not so much. They messed up on my booking which resulted in me having to meet with the director. Luckily we remembered the date and time we called. Long story short, the reservation person did not make the changes we called to make. The director wasnt the nicest person. Very passive aggressive but he did other money off for the hassle. My stay was for 3 nights but I left after 2.The rooms are okay. Kind of old school. I cant believe we are in 2024 and the TVs in the room can only be used to view basic cable. Anyway. My first room none of the TVs were working. They couldnt fix it so I had to be switched to another room. Now Im in the other room. The a/c isnt blowing well at all. I give it some time to see if itll kick in. So I decided to take a bath in the mean time. I fill up the tub. Once its filled I notice things floating in the water. If the tub is properly cleaned I shouldnt see anything. So I opt out and decided to drain the tub. Tub isnt draining. Ok. I take a shower call it a night to only wake up in sweat. The a/c never kicked in. Then my room key randomly decided to no longer work. I decided to end the stay early once the director called back and told me that we were right. After listening to the phone call, the mistake was on their end. I booked the king and two queen bed ocean front room. The views are beautiful though. For the price the rooms are going for they need to be updated Asap.Oh the hallways were hot as hell. Humid too. Like a steam room. So dont walk fast. Walk super slow so you are not drenched in sweat before you make it to your room.I finished my stay at Miami edition. Which I 10/10 recommend. 🩷Spa: 8/10Rooms: 5/10 (mainly because the views)
Great location next to the ocean. The spa and the massages were amazing. They have lots of new spa technologies in addition to the services offered. Highly recommend the full-day spa experience. The staff is very welcoming, well-trained, and knowledgeable
(Travel planner with typically very high end clientele - please keep in mind that my review may be skewed from your own personal perspective.)Service: Can I give more than 5 stars?! Truly excellent from the checkin experience, to the sweet lady at the pool, the delightful young man at the cabana, the gentleman at the bell desk, the security lady, Nanda at the beach club, etc. Whatever they are doing to train their team; it is working. What a joy to be served by this team!🥰Location: I enjoyed that this is the North end of Miami Beach. It was quiet, we could walk for miles not encountering alot of tourists, and the drivability was much better than South Beach. And this property is ON THE BEACH. 💕 It’s also walking to many local (and delicious!) spots for a quick meal, and Uber/Lyfts find you in about 4 minutes.Spa:My experience was so good on day one at their spa, that I went back a second day. They’ve cool showers, hot showers, hot saunas, hotter showers, hot tubs, rainforest showers and more. Spend two hours, relax, refresh, and sweat out all the toxins. I guarentee it’s worth it. The spa has all the amenities you need and then some. 🙌🏻Bonus:~ They’ve bicycles on property!~ They have a market for supplies if you wish to cook during your stay.~ The Spa!~ I believe this is an all suite property, but our room was huge. Very impressive! The square footage alone allowed for naps and Netflix to co-exist during the afternoon showers. 😊Con: I want to leave 5 stars, I really do. But it’s not perfect, so I must be honest. It’s an old building that needs some more upkeep and renovations. It was amazing for my personal stay, but for a Four Seasons aficionado, your guest could find some areas to comment on. The Paint color is very dated, the carpet is suspect, and there was some occasional rust on the floor. We encountered some gaping elevator shafts that snag your luggage wheels - which things are not 5star.But I say, TRY IT! It’s a lovely property with huge rooms, in a nice area with an incredible spa, and fabulous service.
My daughter and husband and I stayed there April 16-21. Beautiful place, went for a spa treatment on Thursday was not impressed. Told lady I was sore on my shoulders and middle back. She was mostly massaging my legs. And when turned over on my back … nothing very disappointed. Told the front desk said someone would call me, never did I guess money is more important than customer service. Spa rated 0 .
After numerous phone calls, emails, and extensive communication with Estefania, Faustine, and other team members while I was out of the country, I made several requests to speak with the spa manager. I was disappointed with the services provided outside of the spa.Very little attention was paid to the details I spent hours and thousands of dollars planning for three important people in our lives.I felt very disappointed, as I had anticipated, while planning. It took 4 days to arrange spa services for 6 people, which was a red flag. Not receiving a call back from management was disheartening. I will update this review every month.
I spent the day at the Spa and was able to use all the hotel amenities and it was surreal the staff were excellent and very attentive I can tell that they love their job and I love how they work it. I got the Himalayan Salt Stone Message and it was spectacular. All around my day here was literally perfecttttt! I will definitely be back.
I did a 50 min Swedish massage. It was absolutely fantastic! The spa facilities were amazing! 2 dry saunas (one is scented), a wet sauna/steam room, big jaccuzzi, 2 rain showers, water massager for feet, and then standard spa locker room facilities. You get access to all that plus access to their private beach with complementary chairs/towels/umbrellas and food/drink service for purchase.Everyone was very nice. 10/10 spa and beach experience. I used a Groupon voucher which made it very affordable.
Miami Spa Month is between July and August; off course I took full advantage of it! Ever since that day this is my go to place for massage!Carillon Miami Wellness Resort is top notch!Staff is extremely kind and give the best professional service. Walking in always enter super stressed and leaving is just heavenly. From their beautiful beach views to their elegant interior and amenities. This is the luxury wellness experience you should at least once in your lifetime experience! The spa is unparalleled; like no other!Complimentary valet and access to the both their pool areas. In addition, youre allowed to stay the entire day so I always take advantage of their thermal lounge, foot spa, Finnish sauna, steam room, herbal laconium, jacuzzi and the list goes on.I had this time around a 90 minute massage; it was divine from start to finish. Whats extremely unique for such a high caliber and luxury experience is an incredibly peaceful, unpretentious, care-free vibe about their entire premises. No phones allowed which is a blessing! The gym is spacious with 24/7 access.Highly recommended!Ps. Remember mental health is very important; take care of yourself always !
Checked in on a Friday for a 6-night stay. As I arrive, no big deal, but no one outside to help at 5pm with the luggage, roughly 5-cases, so we manage to unload and get to the front desk on our own (fyi, was told the doorman was on break). Proceed to check in at front desk, 1st lady was pleasant enough, checked us in quickly and we proceeded to the room. Immediately heard loud noises from outside and realized we were on the 3rd floor immediately above a construction dumpster as the building next door was under renovation/construction. The front end loaded dumping into the dumpster was so close it felt like driver could give me a high-five, so of course I go downstairs to ask to switch rooms… and then the problems really begin. A nasty lady with long braids who later claimed she was assistant MOD named “Kris” or “Chris” claimed no rooms in my room type were available until Sunday, so there was nothing she could do. So, we accept the room change and head back to the room. I take my shoes off at the front door and walk into the bedroom only to realized a 3x5 foot area of the carpet at the entry of the bedroom is soaked. Not certain if was dog urine, or something else, but clearly was not water from smell and discoloration from my socks. I pickup the phone to ask for assistant, and of course nasty and not helpful “Kris” answers. 15-minutes later a guy in jeans and t-shirt comes with a spray bottle to “hide odor smells” and continues to soak the 3x5 area; does nothing else and leaves. So I head back down, and here is “Kris” again, the assistant MOD that says no other room to switch to at this time in my room type which is nonsense because most rooms at the hotel are similar, so just have direct ocean view and/or a balcony, but are the same size. So she then says, a double bed room facing the street (certainly a downgrade from what I booked) was available. At this point beggars can’t be choosers, so it was wet urine, or something else, in the bedroom or street view downgrade because she refused to do anything else for me. I have photos and videos of everything. And, by the way, because she switched me without room inspection, the other room had a refrigerator that didn’t work, an a/c unit that needed to be repaired twice during the stay due to “clogged drain”, and no working phone.Kris should be working behind the scenes, instead of working with guests.
I went for the spa. The massage was... fine, I guess. The facilities were also.... fine. Jacuzzi out of order and Finnish sauna not at the temperature it should have been. There were multiple times no one was at the desk. It has been a real hassle to get a simple receipt. Over a week, contacting multiple times and I still havent been able to get it.I think for the price that is disappointing service. It is, however, a nice location.I would sooner go back to the Ritz, Four Seasons, or other.
Be prepared, this is NOT a 5 star hotel! The rooms are dated and in need of upgrade. You can hear bar stools being moved from rooms above and next door (get felt pads!!) the shampoo/lotion is tiny/non brand and smells badHouse keeping will come even with the do not disturb sign onGetting a table at breakfast, is a joke, they will say “10 minutes “(even though there are many tables available) they walk VERY SLOW back and forthThe spa is fine, but also needs a major upgrade (and stop with the groupon because it is crowded, NOISY, dirty and not relaxing at all before massage!) The tiny “snack” selection at the end was tasty, but I felt it was definitely not offered to everyone!!Plus, there are some heating pads, but not for everyone… the nice attendant let me go into the mens area, but what a complete shame that men get this before women🤬The food offered is fine, but if you are claiming to be “the best spa on the eastern sea board” then pay attn to food selection!!Most important, front desk said they “Weren’t responsible” for amazon orders and there were many front desks so left it to me and my daughter to find our packages on our own, not” let me help you/call other front desks” this is not even 4 star serviceI did have an amazing massage, the beach staff and the valet staff were friendly and helpful.
I purchased a Spa day through Groupon. My appointment was at 11 am and on the way to appointment the bridge on Alton road was lifted. I contacted the spa at 1055 to advise them about the bridge situation. I was greeting by a super rude person. Did not have any consideration of the situation and provided no accomedation. I asked to speak to a Supervisor and she advise that no supervisor was available. They wanted to charge me a fee of $50.00 to change my appointment. I finally arrived at Spa at 11:11 and they rushed me in and cut my massage time. Then I had to wait 5 minutes for the masseuse to arrive. So as a customer we have to wait but they dont even allow a 15 minutes window for the customer to arrive. Very dissapointed. I have purchased this spa in the past and arrived prior to my appointment time and have had to always wait for the masseuse but they cannot acoomadate their customers. Will definetely not recommend this spa.
AWFUL EXPERIENCE! Room had cockroaches, killed 3 of them, light fixture in the restroom kept falling, I let the front desk know and they said they were going to comp the last night, then surprisingly I had unknown charges from the restaurant for around 300 dollars, had to go to the front desk again to get them removed, at the end of my stay I let the person know about the charges and they said they were removed, I also asked about the comp night and she literally was telling to take it up with the booking company that she could not do anything since it was a different person that I dealt with earlier, I asked for receipts for both the unknown charges being removed, and for the com night, she kept saying the printer was not working, she wouldnt email them either, until we said we were not going anywhere and magically the receipts appeared after 5 minutes.I thought I was done with this place but today i checked my credit card statement and I have a charge for 415 dollars when my ending balance was 331. A problem at every turn with this placeStay away from this Hotel
I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the luxurious spa experience at this hotel, and I must say it was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile by Brigid Sanjuan, our host, who made sure every detail of my visit was tailored to my needs. Her excellent service and attention to detail were unparalleled, making me feel like royalty throughout my stay. The spa facilities were immaculate, and the treatments were expertly administered by skilled therapists. But what truly made my experience stand out was Brigid’s personalized care and genuine interest in ensuring I had a wonderful time. Her dedication to providing an unforgettable experience is a testament to the hotels commitment to excellence. If youre looking for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience, look no further - and be sure to ask for Brigid!”
The Carillon Wellness Spa in Miami is an absolute sanctuary for anyone seeking rejuvenation and relaxation. Under the incredible leadership of Terri Sabai, the health and wellness team truly excels in every aspect. While the spa itself is a luxurious haven, the real standout is the state-of-the-art gym facility, offering a diverse and unique array of exercise classes led by phenomenal instructors. The gym at Carillon Wellness Spa is a testament to modern fitness innovation. It features top-notch equipment and an inviting atmosphere that inspires you to push your limits. The wide variety of classes ensures there is something for everyone, whether youre a novice or a seasoned athlete. The expertise of each instructor shines through, making every session both challenging and enjoyable. One of the highlights of my visit was Thais, one of the kindest and most talented instructors on the property. Her aqua yoga and stretching classes were not only relaxing but also invigorating. Thais is a phenomenal salsa dancer and is simply one of the most genuine people you will ever meet. Her positive energy and skillful instruction left a lasting impression on me.Eddys HIIT class was another unforgettable experience. As a fitness instructor myself, I can confidently say it was one of the hardest classes Ive ever taken. Eddys ability to push you to your limits while maintaining a supportive and motivating environment is truly commendable. When I wasnt enjoying the exceptional fitness classes, I received excellent service on the beach. The attentive and kind attendants made sure the chairs were set up and available all day long without any wait or additional cost, making me feel like royalty. On the last day of my stay, I visited the Bio Station for a vitamin pick-me-up. There, I met Devonee Turcotte, a true angel and nurse who administers the intravenous vitamins. Devonees incredible knowledge and advice concerning my health and life were invaluable and something I will hold sacred. This weekend at Carillon Wellness Spa changed my life. The resort is filled with wonderful, genuine healers, trainers, and friends. I would return without question and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a transformative experience. You should go now and experience the magic for yourself!
Mimicking the last review. I booked a spa day with my mom. She flew in for the day. We show up day of and they say that our massage is cancelled and we have to do a later time. This messes up our whole schedule for the day bc we have other things planned. We go to the spa, lots of things are broken. We get the massage, it’s okay. They charge us $100 service charge. So it’s $600 for 2 massages for 50 minutes. Absolutely not worth it. And just bad service all around. Would not recommend for a relaxing day.
I loved the attention I received at the spa, I arrived sad and frustrated and the words Mrs BRIGID , have said to me made my day , sweet, kind and a service that made me remember that life is worth living, thank you ! I will return with more desire ,everything is excellent.
If I could give Carrillon Wellness in Miami Beach more than five stars, I absolutely would! From the moment I stepped onto the property, I felt like I was entering a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation.Lets start with the poolside bar - its truly a gem! The ambiance is delightful, with sleek design and attentive staff who catered to my every need. Sipping on refreshing cocktails while lounging by the pool made me feel like I was living the high life. The selection of drinks was impressive, offering everything from classic cocktails to innovative concoctions that perfectly complemented the sunny Miami vibe.Speaking of lounging, the beach chairs provided by Carrillon Wellness were top-notch. Comfortable, stylish, and strategically placed to offer breathtaking views of the ocean, they provided the perfect spot for soaking up the sun or simply unwinding with a good book. The attentive beach attendants ensured that I had everything I needed, from fresh towels to cold drinks, making my beach experience truly luxurious. And lets not forget about the spa! The 50-minute Swedish massage I indulged in was nothing short of heavenly. The skilled therapists at Carrillon Wellness have mastered the art of relaxation, melting away every ounce of tension and leaving me feeling utterly blissful. The serene atmosphere of the spa, combined with soothing scents and calming music, transported me to a state of pure tranquility.Overall, my experience at Carrillon Wellness exceeded all expectations. From the fabulous poolside bar to the luxurious beach chairs and the sublime spa treatments, every aspect of my visit was impeccable. If youre looking for the ultimate retreat in Miami Beach, look no further than Carrillon Wellness. Trust me, you wont be disappointed!
Earlier this week I went in for a spa, everything was amazing! Service was amazing, the view was amazing and I felt super relaxed coming out. I would like to thank Bridgit as well for being super nice. Highly recommend her!
I came here for the spa and to have a relaxing day. The day was generally good except that valet lost my car keys. I was pleased with the spa itself, the beach area was okay. They had only 1 server for about 100 chairs so it took a while to place an order. But the reason I am giving it 1 star is bc valet lost the keys to my car. They said they were going to try and find it first and give me a call to reimburse me if they can’t. They never called. I have called 6 times already. The 6th time was today - this incident happened on April 14th. It’s been over a month. Every time I call and talk to the valet department, they said the manager Abel Diaz will call but he hasn’t. You guys lost my keys, why is it my responsibility to keep following up? Just own up to your mistake and neglect and reimburse me for the key.
We visited the spa. Wonderful experience all around. Great facilities with myriad options, Welcoming staff, and amazing professional massage. Left there feeling relaxed and pampered. We will definitely come again.
I have day spa for my birthday, the best experience, my massage excellent and the spa Brigid was my hostel so very professional, I come back...
This review is specifically about the Spa- I did not stay here but I can say the day pass is an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. The amenities were very nice. In particular, Barbara in the Spa was AMAZING- I will go back especially for her. She was friendly, informative, helpful and had a sparkling personality, she made my day.
Terribly stay. My husband and I have stayed here now 3 times. The service has declined each time we stay. The “manager” is a young immature lady who is anything but professional. Our room which was supposed to be an upgrade was the same room we got last time, no view (despite it being an ocean view room). We overlooked the pool. The room had a vapid mold smell. The breakfast staff is my only favorite thing about the hotel. They are lovely. The food is mediocre but you can almost withstand it because the restaurant staff is so nice! We will not be staying here again though. There are many other resorts with comparable prices and beautiful views and better management.
My husband and I stayed at The Carillon for 8 nights while in Miami. We stayed in an ocean front luxury apartment, room 217. The room had a pretty full size kitchen, a microwave with an air fry crisper option, and a great fridge with a stand up freezer that easily fit a standing wine bottle, a plus for my parents who stopped by :)The room is a bit dated for a 5 star property, but the views and incredible service from every person on site made up for that.We booked thru our travel agents so we received breakfast free every morning - minus paying for the 18% gratuity included in all checks on site. The service was absolutely incredible. The managers always stopped by and chatted with us, the servers were fantastic and always remembered what we ordered. We really felt welcome, and I was thrilled at the menu. Lots of organic, grass fed options across the board - and there was only one dish we ordered that was sort of eh (lobster tacos). Otherwise we loved the food at The Strand, having eaten there for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout our stay.I had the pleasure of enjoying the hydrotherapy spa, great facility for women. The men’s side was a bit lacking, a big chunk of their amenities was under construction which was a bummer (says they are finishing in a week) I managed to throw out my back while on site - absolutely terrible - and the fantastic team worked with me to get me into their Touchless Wellness system. I took 2 sessions on the ReWave machine, an electric stimulation machine - and I was walking the NEXT day. Unbelievable. Thank you to all the spa women who guided me thru this process, so grateful for you all.Front desk staff was also fantastic, as was valet. The amenities and staff make up for the dated hotel!!!!
Ive been going to Carillon for a few years now and Im happy to say every time I stay I feel great about it, this past weekend (11/23-26) my husband and I stayed for the holiday and was upgraded to a wonderful room with side ocean view, the concierge person name Cristal was exceptional, friendly, helpful and overall extremely professional. We had a wonderful time, the spa as well the staff were helpful, ready to assist and made sure to keep the place clean and pleasant during all the days of our stay.I definitely recommend Carillon if looking for a hotel that treat you with the attention and care you deserve and have professional people working to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Ill give more then 5 stars for sure. A. Silva
We recently stayed at the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort for the second time and I have to say, it did not disappoint! The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful decor and immaculate cleanliness. Carillon nightly rate is higher than comparable hotels on Collins but its worth it. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. The location is also great, with easy access to all the best attractions and restaurants in the area and located across from Publix grocery store. The staff, including Alessandra, Andrea, and Carlos, were exceptional in their service at the Cabana Pool. They made sure that we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable experience. Thank you for another wonderful stay!
I was in this hotel I loved it! Above all, I loved the spa. I felt very comfortable with Brígids attention, she was the person who treated me; Too friendly, very professional and of course he would return to such an excellent place.
This is my second time in the spa. both times have been great. Everyone from Valet, front desk, therapist, and attendants inside the spa are attentive. The attention inside the womens locker was exceptional. My massage eas excellent by Eddie (not sure of spelling) and girls from reception area were the sweetest.
Booked a room thru Airbnb, host was AVacations, bought tickets, rented car and they cancelled after few days, noticed they have same apartment twice, probably had a higher price. No answer from the owner ... money will be refunded up to 15 days, what scam is this?
Perfect spa day at the Carillon today. Every staff member was authentically friendly. High quality practitioners. The massage and facial changed my life. Facilities are beautiful and clean. Will definitely be returning.
Its not a five star resort. Its a 3.5/4 star.Room: The lobby is nice, but the rooms are old. Our bathroom is strange because it has a bathroom you walk into and then through the bathroom you enter into a second bathroom. Its as if they didnt know what to do with the space so they just cut into the wall and built another bathroom? Ive never seen a hotel room like that. You can see that shortcuts were taken when building/rehabbing the rooms.Food: The food is expensive (eg: $15 for a muffin and a croissant) and average. I ordered a chopped salad ($20) at the beach, and it took an hour and twenty minutes to arrive. It was the saddest looking salad I ever saw which is disappointing for a wellness resort. It was not chopped, 99% lettuce and 1% other vegetables, and looked like a salad one gets at an airport takeout shop. I sent it back and the staff were gracious about it.The spa: it seems nice but I went on a Sunday morning and the spa was packed with day-guests who werent staying at the hotel. Every single item in the spa circuit was in use and it was noisy from friends attending the spa together and chatting. It was a bit frustrating seeing as there is a mandatory resort fee but it was too busy to use.Service: the staff are kind and nice, although the service is slowBeach: beautiful, although they use plastic chairs which gives a 3 star vibe to what could be a 5 star location.Overall, theres a reason why this 5 star resort is the cheapest option of the 5 stars in Miami Beach area
I came to the carillon for the spa and wellness center and the experience was very nice. unfortunately, we waited for 30 minutes for our car to be brought up from valet, and when it arrived, there was very visible damage to the car and the valet guy denied it and tried to pretend there wasn’t anything there. they’ve lost a customer for how unprofessional this encounter was
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Carillon Spa, and I must say it was an absolutely enchanting experience! From the moment I stepped foot inside, I felt like I had entered a serene oasis of tranquility. The ambiance at Carillon Spa is simply magical – soft lighting, soothing music, and a calming aroma filled the air, instantly putting me at ease. The staffs warm and friendly welcome made me feel right at home, and they went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout the entire visit. The treatments at Carillon Spa were truly top-notch. I indulged in their signature massage, and it was nothing short of heavenly. The skilled therapists knew exactly how to melt away all my stress and tension, leaving me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. The attention to detail and the use of premium, all-natural products made the experience even more special. One of the highlights of my visit was the serene relaxation area. It was the perfect place to unwind after my treatments, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding gardens. Sipping on a herbal tea while basking in the tranquility was an experience in itself. What truly sets Carillon Spa apart is the impeccable attention they pay to every guest. The staff anticipated my needs and preferences, creating a personalized experience that made me feel truly pampered. The level of care and professionalism shown by everyone at the spa was exceptional.I left Carillon Spa feeling like a brand new person – relaxed, rejuvenated, and completely blissful. It was an experience I will cherish and remember for a long time. I can confidently say that Carillon Spa is a hidden gem in the city, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Came in for a massage for miami spa month.Service was impeccableFacility was beautiful and the cleaning staff should all get raises because it was immaculate no matter how busy.Rosie did my massage and it was the best massage Ive ever had. Highly recommend!
I was excited to stay here and celebrate my 40th birthday. I wish I had seen the reviews before booking. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. More like a 3.5 at best. The resort hasn’t been maintained and is outdated. Everyday I went to the spa there were things out of service and things not working properly. The lobby was nice. They seemed short staffed but the employees we did come in contact with were friendly. It was convenient to have Publix across the street and restaurants within walking distance. The beach was nice.
My husband and I stayed here with our 10 month old for three nights and we wished it was longer! We had an amazing experience, the rooms were large suits, gorgeous, and the service was great. Even my baby received baby bath products and nightly turn down service. We did visit the spa and had a good experience.I would highly recommend staying here!
I didn’t stayed at the hotel, but I went to the spa with friends . Spa was great, very nice and clean; but service was excellent. Brigitte took care of us, was very attentive and helped us with every little detail, she exceded our expectations. Will go again for sure !
We recently stayed in this hotel for a short anniversary getaway and it was great! Service was excellent the staff was as on top of everything and everything was very clean. The only thing I wasn’t happy about was the breakfast options which were very limited. The location is perfect right on the beach and so many stores and restaurants around the area.
The hotel staff is very friendly. The beach is great. The star of the show is the spa. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Shout out to Jacklyn who’s wonderful! If you’re looking to relax and don’t want to stay in the chaos of South Beach this is a great option.
The website is misleading. This is not a 5-star luxury hotel. The suite was spacious however its not well maintained. The pocket doors to the toilet area wouldnt shut completely and had 5 coats of paint. The kitchenette is bare minimum and has seen better days. The towels & robes are the roughest Ive ever experienced even compared to budget hotels. The beds are soft. The spa was nice however the foot soak area was moldy and the button to turn it on & off got stuck. Two of the 3 cool down shower areas did not work completely (option for 3 types of spray but only 1 worked) The igloo area was not very cold. The herbal laconicum was amazing. The facials we received were wonderful and the people were so nice.We had breakfasts only in the restaurant and the service was great. The pool was packed with kids so we opted for the beach. There is no direction/signage on how service works. We found 2 empty lounges and started to set our things down when one of the guys that watched us walk down onto the beach came running over and only then did we find out we needed to check in.The fitness center is a full gym but not 10,000 sq ft as they claim. The equipment is newer and nice. I used the stair master that overlooks the ocean however their blinds were lowered so far down, I could not see the ocean. My view was a couple palm tree bottoms and the roof of the restaurant. The yoga class I attended had 3 people including myself.Publix is across the street and very convenient. However, a block down, I saw a man peeing on the sidewalk so the area surrounding the hotel is sus.
Miami Near miami southA little bit old but spacious room with a stunning view on the oceanVery big gymBreakfast : excellent with view
Wow! This place is fantastic. I spent 3 nights there last week to de stress and unwind. Everything was great. Most of the staff greeted me every day, especially the spa. Sometimes in hotels this does not happen but they clearly have attention to detail. The treatments were amazing. The spa area itself was very clean, peaceful and had everything you need for a relaxing time.I read some reviews about the spa and I didn’t quite know what to expect. I was very surprised and had a wonderful experience every time I went during my stay. The gym was also well equipped and also clean. The suite was spotless. Housekeeping every day took really good care to make it nice.Overall, it was a great experience and I can not wait to book again.
I visited this establishment to embrace their spa experience and my overall experience was 4.5 stars. The massage was phenomenal, the customer service was professional, and the other amenities were superb. However, I didnt rate them A 5 due to their towels. Yes, their towels. They really should consider using some form form of fabric softener. The towels are somewhat hard and they dont have a fresh smell, which in my opinion, plays a big role in the experience of cleanliness, the aromatherapy that you receive there, and the ambiance. The entire spa area, the decor, and everything about their service was immaculate but those towels are horrible. When I visit again. I will bring a few of my towels from home.
Spa: 5 starsHotel: 3.8 stars rounded up to 4 stars. Details below..The spa was excellent. It was clean, the staff was so friendly, the assortment of services was great, and the pool and gym were wonderful. Highly recommend. The hotel was modern and had a great beach view. The rooms and amenities were nice. The cabana staff and housekeeping were wonderful. The reason I’m rating the hotel 3.8 stars is because there was a surprising lack of hospitality. I expected much more for a resort in this price point. The front desk and concierge were not that helpful when we had questions or concerns. We were there for a very special occasion and it was barely acknowledged. There was no early check-in available, and overall we just did not feel welcomed throughout our stay.I would definitely visit the spa again but would stay elsewhere when in Miami Beach.
We had 2 Groupons for 2-50 min massages. My massage was wonderful with Laura. The room was super relaxing. The spa was very clean and refreshing with the different rooms saunas/steam rooms and showers. We got there at 11am and stayed until 4. The robes were so soft. We had a tour first of all the amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The relaxing lounge downstairs could of had more-some snacks and maybe flavored water. It was a pretty good day overall. I will definitely be back!!
Great Miami Beach location. Perfect also for viewing the 4th of July fireworks. Great check in experience as we arrived late. Finally a resort with enough coat hangers! Hotel amenities were also very good. Never too busy, never any long waiting except for drinks on the beach. Cabana setup was excellent service and were very attentive. Drink service had great attitude, however the service between drinks was excessively long. Drinks themselves were creative and OK.Room well equipped, microwave, stovetop, kettle, Nespresso, fridge and washer. 2 bedroom had great beach views and a pool view. Beachfront balcony as well. Room was quiet, except for the sound in the room. The inside doors are louvered so sound passes easily. If you have an early riser, they need to be out of the suite. We did not plan ahead enough to get spa services.
My daughter reserved for a two night three day stay for her birthday Friday, June 30 at the Carillon Miami Wellness Spa hotel my daughter, granddaughter and I had a great experience at the spa, we didnt want to leave it was absolutely amazing the professionalism, customer service experience was great really met our expectations! Barbara at the spa was very pleasant, attentive with us she went out of her way to make us feel right at home, Andrea gave an espectacular massage so relaxing. Miguel from day one took our luggage to the room and made sure all was okay to our satisfaction till the very end he was AMAZING 👏 very caring, friendly person loving personality you can truly see he has and shows tremendous passion for what he does! There is a Publix store right across the Carillon very convenient. We will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. I strongly recommend the Carillon. Very satisfied customer!
This is our second time visiting the Carillon for the holidays and we had another great experience despite the cold weather. The rooms are expansive with kitchenettes and there is a nice beachfront, and pool area. There is also a world-class spa which came in handy when the weather turned cold. This year upon arrival, we were greeted by Chris, one of the bellmen, who was very helpful and personable. When we found our reservation was inadvertently canceled by a third-party booking company, Munira helped us get a new reservation, and Sonia and Alex made sure our stay was pleasant by ensuring we were in a wonderful room. Many thanks to Alex and his team for their superb hospitality and customer service. The housekeeping staff was also responsive.Last year our cousin booked a last-minute reservation and ended up joining us because we were raving about our stay. We will continue to spread the word that The Carillon is a great getaway!
The hotel and the valet were very good in general. However there were some problems during my 4 night stay, the bathroom door is not fitted with a lock so it is not possible to lock. We scheduled room service at one oclock on the iPad provided and they never come on time. Our internet was horrible, it took 5 minutes to open a single website.
I had a spa day. Massage was great and people at the spa were very friendly. The sauna was out of service from the day before so I couldn’t use it. I ordered some food at the beach and they took 45+ minutes to bring a turkey sandwich. A blond lady that seemed to be in charge said that is the normal time, so be aware if you order food on the beach it might take forever. Her solution was for me to take the food with me if I had to leave :/
The bamboo massage at the spa was incredible. Service spectacular. They went over and above. I forgot my contact lens solution and my case and they even provided that for me. I highly recommend them for all of your health and wellness needs.
I booked a Daycation here and oh my God what an experience! I felt so special by every the way every staff member treated me. Rosy did an amazing massage for me, I would go back just to get another service with her! She’s amazing. Defiantly will be back either by myself again or with a friend. (The spa areas are divided by gender so if you do go with your husband or wife you won’t be able to use the spa together just the pool and beach access)
This hotel does not honor their written cancellation policy. They also dont answer their phone and only seem to communicate via email. We were booked for and looking forward to a long weekend at the Carillon. Unfortunately we has to cancel 5 days before our stay. Our reservation confirmation said we would be refunded up to 72 hours in advance. However, the Carillon refused to refund saying that the fare we bought was non-refundable. When I sent a copy of their own cancellation policy, they offered a credit for a future stay. Again, their policy offers a refund and never mentions a credit. We are now having to go through our bank to dispute Carillons refusal to honor the policy printed on the reservation. At this point Im almost glad we had to cancel. It would have been so disappointing to experience this poor level of service during a spa vacation.
Go visit the spa! I got the Himalayan salt massage and it was amazing. Vicky did a great job she was so sweet and caring.
SPA SERVICES ONLYSo the opportunity to return became available...I did return! Two treatments, lounge time, pool time, beach time...I was very satisfied with the services and the attendees! At one point, I was a little lost and I appreciated the facilities staff that pointed me in the right direction and offered a few tips about the best features of the resort...it made me feel like EVERY staff person was Knowledgeable and wanted me to have a good experience. I like that.Get the rejuvenation massage and the full body scrub - thank me later.
I used to love the spa days here, and the spa is great. The reason I’m giving a 2 star is because spa guests were previously able to use the adults only spa level pool, and this is now suddenly revoked so you are forced to use the “cabana pool” aka day care with 50 kids screaming. Not what anyone paying for a spa day wants to deal with, so I will not return or recommend anyone to go here for this reason. Management: Take a look at your spa clientele and recognize that this was a terrible business decision.
Have stayed at Carillon (Canyon Ranch) at least 8 times in the last 10 years. In the meantime, Carillon is just a shadow of its former self. Gone are the good old days! The rooms are getting old. Little staff, therefore bad service. The service at the restaurant ….no comment. Recently there are plastic loungers on the beach...in a 5 star resort! This resort definitely needs better management! Very sad!
Service was horrible! Others were assisted before me, although I had been waiting longer. Valet looked at me while having a personal conversation when I arrived, he didn’t move. Others pulled in behind me, and were assisted before me, although I arrived first. I experienced a similar occurrence once I arrived in the spa from the spa attendant. When I was leaving, I was waiting for valet to pull my car around. Instead, he parked my car on the side, and took my key to the desk. The massage was very oily, and provided no therapeutic value.- Gratuity is paid upon check in, not based on service. Spa receptionist at check in, and for spa service check in were great, the rest of the staff were not good. I have been here several times, but after this visit I will not return.
BRING YOUR OWN BEACH UMBRELLA and Towels.Spending thousands to stay. Not enough beach umbrellas for hotel guests in the first part of the day. Figured wed go have lunch and try later.. Returned at 3:00 and they were out of towels. There is no verification whatsoever that you are staying at the hotel. People were getting chairs, towels and umbrellas for free that are not guests of the hotel. The beach attendant even said to us it is always a problem. I thought we would be doing better by now. There is not enough equipment.. Asking for a room key or number seems like a very easy fix to ensure hotel guests can use the facilities.
Great hotel! Was in Miami for work so I didn’t get a chance to experience the spa but I will be back. It looks amazing. The gym is top class and I did a fantastic beach camp workout with the fitness instructor Sarah.
Not really a five star hotel. At best a four star. The hotel is dated and smells old. Pool area is small and the service throughout the hotel is shockingly bad. The only polite employees you meet are the people doing the cleaning. That this hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World is a joke. We stayed for eight nights in a oceanfacing suite and we will never be back!
I recently stayed at the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. While the property boasts a reputation for its wellness offerings and luxurious amenities, I encountered a significant issue that left me dissatisfied. One of the reasons I chose the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort was the promise of a $100 AMEX fine resort credit when booking a $130 Pilates session through their spa. This additional benefit was a deciding factor in my decision to stay at this particular resort. However, upon departure, I was disappointed to learn that the resort refused to honor the credit. In an attempt to resolve the matter, I called the front desk to discuss the issue directly. However, to my dismay, I was continuously redirected to voicemail without any chance to speak with a staff member. This lack of direct communication was frustrating and did not reflect the level of service I expected from a resort of this caliber. The refusal to honor the promised resort credit and the inability to reach a staff member only added to my disappointment. As a guest, I believe it is crucial for a hotel to deliver on the promises made during the booking process and to provide a reliable and attentive customer service experience.
The best part I liked is the SPA. A lot hot men cruising and looking. I met about 5 married men looking for fun. Some even came to my room.
It is a shame when service isn’t consistent. I am currently at the Carillon where it took over 20 minutes to go to the pool for them to tell us there are no chairs or towels available and sent us to the beach. The beach service told us the same thing that there are no towels or chairs they can provide. We return back to the pool where we waited 10 min for them to give us chairs, with no towels and didn’t open the umbrella for us. We simply wanted to get some food and drinks before our spa service but honestly the pool and beach service have already ruined our experience here. If we didn’t already pay for the spa service and would be penalized if we didn’t take it we would leave. What is even more disappointing is that it is sold with access to 2 pools one specifically without children. I’ve been here before where I had access to the pool on the 5th floor and now I don’t. What is a spa day when you have to be around other people’s children?Super disappointing, I will be taking my services back to The Standard Hotel and Spa.
The spa and its attendants were great. The beach cabana boys were so unpleasant. I set up my own beach chair. Took 45 mins to receive food. Never received drink order so I went on my own to the bar to pick it up. For the price, I had unmet expectations. Will not be returning simply due to service.
I loved this place! Everyone was wonderful. It was my birthday and I was running a little late due to traffic and they moved my scheduled massage for 30 more minutes! I was a bit stressed, but my masseuse Fabiana was the highlight of my day. So very sweet and very professional. The reason I’ll be visiting often . Everything was so well organized. I was definitely in the right place for some relaxation to another level: Luxury.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience during our stay here. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating, they let us check in early and leave late. The suite itself was beautiful, the view of the ocean was amazing and the overall ambiance of the resort itself made our vacation that much better. If were ever in Miami again, well be coming back here.
We had an amazing experience at The Carillon !!! Since we arrived the front desk lady ,Jacqueline ,was more than professional and even took the time to ask us if something special was being celebrated , which was my grandma 78th birthday .She even gifted her some beautiful happy birthday souvenir bag a with a card . The food and service at its restaurant was delicious , and Julian took care of us in a very casual and polite way . Everything went perfectly !!! I have to say that what impressed me the most was the professionalism of all the staff at the Carillon We’re definitely coming back . I highly recommend it even for locals , a totally different perspective of Miami Beach
The entire staff was very pleasant and the room was very clean. Spotless! Made me feel like at home. The manager Felix went out of his way to talk to us and answer questions. We also loved the dining experience. The executive chef Rosarrio came to greet us and was very warm and welcoming. Overall a great experience. Will look forward to booking a wellness vacation soon.
The Carillon had excellent service from start to finish. I visited the resort for a spa day and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. The ladies at the spa were extremely helpful and professional. Christina and Shelby explained all the services in detail to me, their customer service was exceptional. Highly recommend and will be visiting again very soon.
Maria the attendant in the Spa is always more than attentive and helpful. She constantly made sure we were comfortable and made the experience a 10. We loved the facility. Massage with Dino was a WOW. All Spa circuit equipment was working. Valet parking perfect. Stephania in the front reception and booking went out of her way and made everything simple. Beautiful and welcoming personality.
Doesn’t match the website photos at all. The front desk was confused about all the extra charges out onto our room- first an extra $100 in addition to the $600 hold, which they said was resort fees, then had the audacity to try to explain what resort fees are to me. You pay them after your stay, never before. Then, just as I checked out they decided to add on a $100 ‘package’ fee and the front desk guy tried to gaslight me saying it was totally normal. We didn’t get a package and we will likely never return. The spa and room were nice although our toilet never worked properly (we asked for help and didn’t get it) and smelled very funky the whole 3 nights we were there. Like many have complained, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work properly. The spa and pools are in great condition and I’d recommend those in a heartbeat but the bogus fees, non working toilet, unhelpful front desk, and very tired looking hotel were a disappointment.
THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!! I am here to say how disappointed I am that I chose this hotel to spend my weekend. I looked for a spa hotel, only because my husband and I were expecting a relaxing place with all the massage and treatment options. When I arrived, I was already frustrated with the initial service, because for the price we paid for two nights, we usually get much better service at other hotels. We pay a high price for our stay because we expect a superior level of spa care and treatments. To my total disappointment, we arrived at the spa to see the services and we didnt get a good reception or explanation of the treatments. The spa was full and there was no possibility to book a massage or any other treatment. In other words, we came from Orlando to Miami, just to enjoy the spa, and we didnt get any massages. If it was just to stay in a normal hotel, I would not have chosen this one, nor would I have paid that amount, for a hotel where the room is not good, and the towels in the rooms are not soft. this is an ordinary hotel, nothing special. And even when I arrived at night, there wasnt even a bottle of water in the room, in a hotel that claims to be wellness. If you say its a spa hotel, you should give priority to guests, because were paying for this differential. Now, I would like to go back and choose the other accommodation option that my travel agent recommended, the Mandarin hotel, which would certainly offer me a complete relaxation experience. The expectation you create on your site does not match what is offered here. I talked to the manager about what happened, and he said there was nothing he could do.Please!! Don’t spend your money and your time here!!
This place does not not match the pictures AT ALL. The rooms were outdated and the furniture was stained. Looked NOTHING like the pics on the website. The restaurant had VERY limited selection and the pool at the cabana wasn’t opened.A $600 hold was added to our card without our knowledge as well. When I called the front desk and asked why, I was told its held by the hotel just in case we made any purchases at the resort, it would be charged to our room and deducted from the $600. They do this without telling you and say that it’s returned back to you upon your departure if you don’t purchase anything during your stay. The spa had no openings for a massage reservation during our stay as well so that part of our trip or reason for staying was pointless since we couldn’t use the service we came there for.The only part we enjoyed about this hotel was the private beach. The service on the beach was nice and we enjoyed lounging on the beach in the sun. Other than that, don’t waste your money staying here. You can get better for your money some where else in Miami.
Me and my wife stayed here and wanted to speak to the Spa Director, due to an issue with our massage and she refused to speak to us and sent out a much younger lady to do so. The director seems very rude and doesn’t make a good image for the spa. With the prices of this place you’d expect quality customer service.
Don’t waste your money & time.Disgusting massage, completely incompetent staff, masseurs absolutely do not know how to do a deep massage, they just anointed me with cream. No briefing before the massage, nothing explained where and what is, no shower, no card to enter the locker room, nothing. And Im talking about the lack of provessionals. Although everyone is very polite and nice, but there are no masters.I was with my wife and we ran away after the first massage, so disgusting. And in conclusion, I’ll say that the oils they use are so low-quality and smelly that you will then wash off for a long time. The worst attitude I have ever had.
The Carillon Wellness Resort was perfect for Resort Day Pass as i had got off a cruise and my flight was later that night. If you have luggage with you check it in with the bellhop after checking in on the 4th floor where the spa is located. Was able to use all the amenities, pool, beach ect. The locker rooms, sauna, steam room, ect are separated due to the fact it is clothing optional. I had booked the massage package and tried to upgrade to a longer section which was unavailable (book in advance). My massage therapist was AMAZING!!
Decided to gift my boyfriend a spa day as he loves them. We had a great time, staff and facilities were wonderful. Only reason I didn’t give 5 starts is because they don’t have a unisex section which was too bad as I wanted to share the experience w my BF and not just meet afterwards.
Arrived at the spa only to learn that there was a mistake made and my appointment (along with my friends) was never created in the system. Unfortunately, this meant that we couldnt get our massages as the therapist was fully booked. Then came Betsabe, the spa director. She took a difficult situation and made it great. She still allowed us to have a spa day and booked us for another spa day down the line with our therapist. She was thoughtful, helpful and just overall great. The spa was also amazing. Overall 10/10.
This is our second time staying at Carillon. The property is beautiful and the pools are very nice. The gym is spacious with 24/7 access. The spa is one of the nicer ones we’ve visited although some features are not available with COVID restrictions. When we arrived, we had to wait about 3 hours for our room to be available to check in which really messed up our dinner reservations. We went down to get a chair on the beach while we waited, big mistake! There was a waiting list for a beach chair with over 15 parties ahead of us. Needless to say, we never got a chair on the beach. That is completely unacceptable. If the chairs are in such high demand, more should be added. The room itself was very nice as usual. There is a kitchen with fridge and living room area with couch. The bathroom has a large tub and nice tile shower. Dropping off and getting your vehicle from the valet is very hit or miss. More times than not there was no one readily available or present. The one improvement is that you can request your vehicle using your electronic valet ticket via your phone instead of having to call.
Carillon is top-notch! From the extremely kind and professional service, to the beautiful beach and views, to the elegant interiors and amenities, this is the luxury wellness experience youve always wanted. And of course, the spa is unparalleled. I had two wonderful massages during my stay that were divine from start to finish. What is unique for such a high-caliber, luxury experience is that there is an incredibly peaceful, unpretentious, carefree vibe about the entire premises, including among the staff and guests, so that you feel completely at ease and grounded. Would give more than 5 stars if I could! While the thermal hydrotherapy spa was closed due to CDC restrictions during the pandemic, now I have only more reason to go back :) I should add that the location is also very convenient: Theres a supermarket right across the street from the resort, which makes home-cooking or eating healthy while traveling very easy (the suites have kitchens). You can make your stay as high- or low-key as you like!
This was (and still is somewhat) my favorite spa but it has declined over the years. Whoever oversees the SPA area is lacking attention to detail. The sauna no longer has that distinct smell, the steam room only pushes out steam for a few seconds and there are many lights out and other minor details. Its still a really great SPA but its sad to see the drop in care :(
Booked a spa day pass, my mom and I come every month and it is usually fabulous! However we were unfortunately greeted today by Shelby and Natalie, two very rude and snobby ladies at the wellness front desk. I hope they learn to better themselves as they are part of the Carillon experience and are the faces we first see as we walk in. Maybe get better trained…..
Went last weekend for a much needed relaxation. The amenities are great with the different saunas, cold showers, etc! Staff was polite and helpful. The massage was ok nothing special but I was a little surprised when I kept waiting and looking for the cold towels from the sauna and they were never refilled or the foot soak. When I asked the locker room staff appeared slightly overwhelmed. It was busy in there but overall clean place with great staff .
Do not consider this Hotel if you want a 5 star experiment. Upon check in my air conditioning didn’t work, TV and internet in room didn’t work, and sink didn’t work. It took a full day to have the AC fixed after I grabbed a random maintenance person in the hallway to come in. The TVs didn’t work for 3 days of my trip. My sink was clogged the entire trip. I had to go down to reception 5-6 times the first two days to check in on all requests. Each time they said they don’t see any ticket for the asks above. They gave me a $250 credit after making us move rooms on our last day of our vacation because nothing could get resolved. When moving to the new room the door handle broke and we had to have maintenance come again to fix it. If you consider any of the above to be a relaxing wellness experience please let me know why.
Clean! Attentive staff! Beach and Pool staff excellent! Every dining experience included great food and selections. The long, tall windows displayed a beautiful view of the ocean. The spa staff was knowledgeable and my first experience with Touchless Technology was amazing. The Prism Light Pod was perfect to renew my mind from the stresses of life!
This place was incredible!! From that moment we walked in Crystal was amazing at the desk helping us with our room! We booked a room that we thought had a balcony (my fault) and she found us one with a balcony ocean view. Pay the extra!! It’s so worth it! All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The resort and our room were both super clean! My husband and I love south Florida but don’t love the club scene. We come to relax and decompress… with that being said this is the perfect hotel to stay at!! The beach is absolutely beautiful with food/drink service. The pool is beautiful as well and has food/drink service. The spa is gorgeous and has so many amenities to use for free including the adult pool filled with salt water overlooking the ocean. It’s truly a dream!! Lots of little shops and restaurants to walk to. And about a half hour from downtown Brickell if you want to grab dinner. We did one night :) We rented the bikes from the hotel ($24 for 6hours) and biked the path all along the beach to the end of south beach (2nd street) to eat at Pure Vida (so good and healthy:) and then biked back (took about 45min each way :) I highly recommend The Carillon!! We loved our stay so much and will be back soon!
NOT a 5 star resort. Dated and tired furniture. Even the sofa had some big green stains and other smaller ones. MOS DEF not worth the money they charge per night. Great private beach and awesome view from the beach front suite. The main reason I didn’t give 2 stars is the staff. Very friendly and always ready to help.
Carillon was a disappointment. I live in Miami and Carillion Spa is advertised as one of the best spas/hotels in Miami Beach. On April 23, my Mom and I booked a room and made massage reservations at the spa. Following the massage (Lora was her therapist) my Mom realized that she left her diamond necklace in the jewelry tray in her massage room. She was asked to take it off for her massage. This necklace disappeared and when I tried calling the spa, I was informed that it was never found.Keep your eye on your valuable in this place.Another note, when we ordered drinks are the restaurant called The Stand, we didnt like them and sent them back, we ordered a 52 dollar bottle of wine instead. After this, the restaurant manager came up to us and informed us that will be charged for the drinks anyways because bartender made it according to the description. Carillon advertises itself as a 5 star hotel, but this is definitely not 5 star service. I have never been nickel and dimed like this anywhere.I will not be coming back to this place.
I honestly NEVER leave reviews, but since I just called the Hotel Front Desk to inquire about the type of mattresses they use, I thought it might be nice to let others know how wonderful and restful our experience was. We are very picky and accustomed to the nicer things in life, and the Carrillon did not disappoint in any way. The full size high end apartments, and the grounds, common areas, gym, and pool areas were wonderful, as well as the food at the onsite restaurant. A+. We will stay there again when we return. The staff was superb as well!
DO NOT STAY HERE!Housekeeping staff stole my jewelry…unprofessional management. My vancleef bracelet and necklace was stolen from the room. The hotel management Felix tried to brush it off as if it wasn’t a big deal. He didn’t care….he never communicated with me about it.So much went wrong on this stay even before my jewelry got stolenThey misplaced my packages.Housekeeping constantly busted in my room even with the DND was on the door.Every day we had to make new keys.I travel 2 times a year all around the world for work….this is the worse stay I’ve ever experience in my life. The manager Felix was rude/unprofessional/ and try to push me off after the hotel made so many mistakes.RUN, do not stay here. I’m honestly traumatized.
Was really disappointed this time at the Carillon. Ive stayed before and had good experiences, but the service has gone so downhill. It would be fine for a 2-3 start hotel, but when you are paying close to $1K per night, you expect to at least have wifi. Esp in todays world, where everyone works remotely. So, that was frustrating. The Strand restaurant food quality was terrible and it took min an hour to get anything even though there was no one else there. The one waiter would disappear for 30 mins at a time then be very rude when we asked for anything such as water refills which wed been waiting on. Then the power surged and our room keys stopped working, so we had to be escorted whenever we went to our room. When we left we lost something in the baggage room, and couldnt get in touch with the hotel despite calling multiple times for it (no one answers the phone when you call!)Overall, for what we paid, I was pretty annoyed.
I had a delicious smoothie from their corner store to relax on the beach before my massage. The staff was very attentive and kind. Carlos recommended the deep tissue sports massage 🤩 after asking about my concerns. Curtis gave me the best massage Ive ever had! I headed up to the rooftop pool to relax after. Wonderful experience.
This is a truly state of art and top of the line hotel. We tried the Spa for the day. It was everything and much more than we ever expected. Sonia was massage therapist and performed a lovely sports massage for 50 min. In the spa, we were given a personalized tour, we were offered organic fruits and juice and Elizabeth made sure our experience was unforgettable. Highly recommended!!
I order ocean views they give me tree view, when I request for what I paid just said its not available and said the ocean its behind the tree, the price for the room not I wha you gate. Air conditioner very old and noise. I just give 3 stars for the spa and the pool very nice. for the service its rude when you call said send you somebody for fix the air never arrive somebody.
Read before you stay at this place. They are a total mess with their guest service/ reservations! We stayed for a romantic getaway as a couple only to be wakened up by the night manager Brenda at 6.30 am!!!! We have two young children and due to the work schedules, we don’t get much sleep. Based on good reviews we decided to stay at this place to regenerate and finally get enough sleep. At 6.37 am sharp Brenda was ringing and ringing on our landline until we finally answered letting us know that we requested a wake-up call and so here it is!!! But we did not!! Never!! We use our cell phones as alarms! That Sunday morning, we wanted to so sleep longer to finally get some good morning sleep! They have a mess in their papers/reservations and they had a note on their system that we did request a wake-up call at 6.00 am! Which we never did! Now, hypothetically speaking, even if we would have requested it (although we did not) they would fail that request too because they called 40 minutes later than their imaginary wake-up call time. Causing us to miss a flight or meeting or whatever. It turned out someone else who stayed in the same room a night or two before requested the wake-up call, they put down a wrong date and then didnt bother to check that we (entirely new guests) indeed asked to wake up so early on Sunday morning. I would expect a better service from a 5-star hotel with a price tag of over $1,000 per night. Brenda offered a 2 hour extended check out which we have declined but no one can give us back the time for morning sleep. Once up, we cant go back to sleep. The food at the hotel was mediocre, to say the least. The European inspired spa was very dated! One shower out of three was out of order. Foot massage pool was broken and they did not even bother to drain it so you could see the soap from a previous person. I have been to many European-style spas (in England and Austria) and New Zealand but this is the worst by far. I do not recommend this place.
Its ok but it has potential. The food was standard and the service can definitely be improved. I went and spent the day for Spa month and since I am a Spa enthusiast I had big expectations for this Wellness Resort. The Spa front desk explained the offers but she seem confused her self. The spa amenities are nice. They have a big locker room and the spa area had several saunas with different temperatures, a steam room and even an Igloo Room (that was cool). A big jacuzzi in need of some repairs and several rain showers. In order to have access to the outdoor pools we had to pay an extra $40 pp. which in my opinion is not worth it. The outdoor pool was just...ok. I felt like I was at a condo complex pool more than at a resort. The beach pool was the nicest with a bar near by and an outdoor jacuzzi. But again not impressed. The spa treatment was nice and the therapist was very professional. I will be back enjoy the 40% discount on my next treatment. But I will skip the pool charge this time.
Delicious food, excellent with allergies. Fitness center has amazing view of the ocean. Cultivated an atmosphere of wellness in a non-oppressive way. Wish there was a strict no smoking policy on the beach and outdoor grounds. That said there was minimal smoking. Importantly, the hotel is far from downtown (30min plus in traffic), so recommend mostly staying at the hotel and enjoying the grounds and restaurant if you choose to stay here.
I want to mention lack of non promotional real experience reviews, I was looking for before staying there. My first question was if it is family friendly and if I can bring my kids there. Turns out Carillon is really family friendly resort, where everyone in the family can find something fun to do. private beach ⛱️⛱️⛱️, pools, hot tubs, activities. Publix next door, and tons of dining options.Place feels very safe with visible security guards.Do not forget to tip beach attendant and be respectful to staff working there. They work hard to make everyone happy..
Hello, I am staying with you from Sunday January 9 to Sunday January 16. CONFIRMATION NUMBER: 6973SC064594I want to mention how unpleasant my stay in this supposed resort has been, I have spent two nights among garbage and filth because my reservation does not include cleaning service in any other hotel I had seen this happen to me that this category I do not offer cleaning service for try to clean the garbage bags a bit by doing the toilet myself under the reception where I ask where I can vote the garbage and they tell me outside that I had to leave the hotel to vote and garbage includes toilet papers. I had to buy chlorine to clean the bathrooms. Also to mention that the receptionist did not give me a solution to the problem, making my stay even more unpleasant. the receptionist was not friendly when I asked her Mention that the room assigned to me 801 the sink is clogged and the bathroom has low power, the dishwasher does not work properly, it does not look like a hotel, it does not look like a 5 star hotel, I give it 3 stars . even a hostel is better than this resortI request a solution to my problem since the only thing I want is to leave after this uncomfortable place.
Visited this establishment for a massage, and although my masseuse was a nice person, she spent the entire time chatting. Normally this wouldnt be a problem, except I felt she lost focus during the 2nd-half of the treatment because she was concentrating on our conversation, rather than the massage. Usually I wouldnt care, however, when youre paying approx. $300(!) for an 80 min treatment, I didnt feel as if I got good value (my wife booked/paid for it so I didnt know what the cost was going in).Afterwards, my wife, mom and myself had drinks at the Stand bar/restaurant. After paying $110(!!) for 2 shots, 1 mixed drink and 4 beers, the bartender was rude for no reason I could discern. The next morning I was checking my pending credit card charges and saw 12 Lyft charges totaling $500. The only plausable explanation is that someone stole my CC info while the card was at the bar (I had left my tab open). So either the bartender was lazy and allowed someone to grab my info (there were several younger people crowding the bar and taking vapid selfies), or they were in on it.I know Miami Beach is expensive, but this is a new level of graft. Stay far, far away from this place.
Quiet hotel with beautiful rooms and views, great beach and rooftop pool, and the entire staff, from valet to management, was warm and professional. The spa was also lovely, I had a massage with Curtis and it was extremely relaxing. Overall a great place to stay if you are looking for a more laidback trip to Miami.
I purchased a Resort Pass day pass to celebrate my husbands birthday. While the spa amenities were great, when we went to beach and got our chairs they were severely understaffed and we had to speak to someone on 3 occasions to place an order. After waiting at least 35 mins we were able to order. We have now been waited for over an hour and a half and did not receive any food so we cancelled the order! To add to this problem, when I tried to order a drink I was told the blender was broken so I could not get that drink I wanted? They only have 1 blender to make drinks when you have a full drink menu? We came expecting 5 star accommodations all around and that is definitely not what we received. We will not be coming back to this hotel. Very disappointing!
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this place. Me and 4 other people visited on a resort pass. This place is so beautiful! The campus is huge and the amenities are amazing (for lack of a better word). The food was delicious and the people were courteous and accommodating. The pool boy/server was awesome and Maria at the spa was a sweetheart. I would love to visit again and I recommend the resort pass to anyone who wants to spend a day in luxury.
I brought my friend to the spa to celebrate her birthday and we had a wonderful day. We had aromatherapy massages that were great. Everyone was helpful and pleasant and the amenities were fantastic.
Not our favorite anymore!Without taking to us directly to find out the whole story, without knowing how much stress we had to deal with, and without wanting to learn what can be done to improve the service, the “executive managing director” of Carillon Miami sent us this letter accusing my husband’s “behavior” shaken his front desk employee. When you are paying over $1,500 a night at a hotel, you would expect the professionalism of the staff to be at a higher level and the golden rule of hospitality “the customer is always right” be applied. Not the case here.Instead of training the staff to be more efficient, caring and professional, and also find out what really happened, this so called “executive managing director” Mr. Fernandez just went ahead sent us this letter. I don’t know what can I call his “behavior” as someone in charge of the hotel. That says a lot about this place.Carillon used to be our go-to place, among all the beautiful hotels we could stay at in Miami Beach. We spent numerous birthdays, holidays, vacations here. We loved this place to the bone. We recommended it to many family and friends. We knew everyone that worked in the restaurant. Unfortunately, it apparently changed the management since March 2020. This trip left a terrible taste in our mouth.
I booked my wife and niece a day here for a birthday celebration, and they couldnt stop raving about it. A pool pass gets you access to two pools (one with a restaurant and bar), chaises in the sand on the beach, and the hydrotherapy circuit inside the spa. My wife said they could have spent all day on the thermal loungers. And after a day in the hot Florida sun, what could be better than a herbal rain showers and igloo room? Im definitely booking this place again to win more points with the wife.
Went here for a week get away from Atlanta. Fantastic hotel! Staff was very nice. The rooms were absolutely massive, clean and well cared for.The spa here was fantastic and relaxing. The private beach was great!Over all an amazing. Experience in Miami away from all the over the top stuff that comes with being further down town.
I was at the spa today and had the Himalayan salt and stone massage. It was such an incredible experience. Believe me it was worth the money I paid for. My massage therapist name is Andrea. If you happen to be there and want a good massage please ask for Andrea and u will not be disappointed. She really knows her job
Had a pleasant stay at the Carillon whilst in Miami for a vacation. The spa was amazing and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.
If you’re expecting the Miami Beach version of a Canyon Ranch or a Miraval, you’re going to be very disappointed (as I was). This is not a “wellness resort”… it’s an ok hotel with poor service that happens to have a nice spa and salon at the same address. The hotel food is terrible… and when I ordered “room service” it came in a paper bag with plastic utensils. The front desk encouraged ordering Uber Eats as an alternate when all the dining options were closed. The spa and treatments are pretty decent (the facials and massages I got were great - and the therapists were awesome) but the “wellness concierge” is not helpful in doing anything besides reading their website to you, and definitely cannot suggest best treatments based on your health goals. I couldn’t get any good responses to my questions about their fancy/high-tech touchless wellness options. I was mostly disappointed because I would have liked to have taken advantage of their options in a holistic way - but never found that anyone was interested enough to walk me through those options in a knowledgeable way. Overall, it was a pretty location with good amenities…. but this is Chipotle (enjoyable enough) posing as Fine Dining.
The room is amazing. Its large and includes a kitchen with an island and washer and dryer. The living room is spacious and has a balcony. The room is nice and the bed is so comfortable. The bathroom is really big and has a bathtub and shower. We had two balconies both with an ocean view.Included in the price is access to 4 awesome pools, fitness classes, and part of the spa.The 4 pools are incredible. One is for adults only and has a view of the ocean. Another one has a bar and food service area. And the other 2 pools are a sunrise and sunset pool so you have a fantastic view. The fitness classes are awesome as well. They have a class at least once an hour. From yoga to boxing. The gym is also nice and the equipment is all new.The thermal part of the spa is free to use and is insane. It has a nice shower area and multiple spa rooms. The heated chair, herbal room, and rainforest rooms are so comfortable. You also have beach access with plenty of umbrellas and chairs to relax on the beach.Incredible hotel. The restaurant downstairs is also delicious.
An amazing resort with great amenities. Overall a very pleasant stay. The reason for three stars was two separate horrible experiences in the cafe. A young man working there was incredibly rude. When I told him that the item he had made me was made wrong, he began to argue with me that he made it right. That kind of customer service does NOT match every other part of this resort. He also pre-makes juices when the whole point of a FRESH juice is to get the nutrients in the first 10 minutes. He definitely needs to treat his customers better. I did not return to the cafe after that experience and would not recommend it while he is working.
Very high end, no crowds on days we went there. They are focused on serving the guests. The spa is really nice, and there are a LOT of amenities there (multiple times of saunas, steam room, igloo room, different reason shower rooms, aromatherapy room, etc. Well worth the price.
Mukesh was amazing and friendly. His deep tissue massage was so good that he worked out all my back pain. Definitely recommend!! Also Destiny in the reception desk was so sweet and helpful. I love this place.
My sister and I spent a weekend here to indulge in some self-care. The staff was just amazing, no judgmental attitudes here. Everyone including the guy who came up to fix our tv remote was so nice. The guys who set up the beach chairs and restaurant staff remembered our names even though we were only there for a long weekend. Staff like this make a place like this one we will return to every year.
Adjusting review: I stayed here in 2018 and loved the experience. I am on a trip with family/friends but came back to the Carillion for the daycation pass. I booked a premium package for 4 which we were under the impression was 2 cabanas. The name of the pool here is “cabana” so we thought we paid for an actual cabana. The price $500 is also the exact cost of two cabanas at this hotel. The staff set up two cabanas for us, we ordered food and drinks $500 then told us if we want to stay it’ll be another $400 when we said no they lowered to $100. We said no so they said we had to move to beach chairs instead of the covered day bed. It’s absurd nobody at checkin in the spa or at the beach itself was sure what we booked or able to clearly explain to us until 2 hours later.
What an amazing way to spend the day 😊, I was impressed by the quality of customer service provided by the staff. The space was very clean and the aroma throughout the spa was tranquil. The stand restaurant was also amazing everything was amazingly fresh and served smoking hot to the table. I will plan another day on the beach at this location
My husband and I stayed at the Carillon for one night last month. We arrived at 4 pm and were checked into a room with city view, the room faced a wall of a parking lot. We went back down to reception and asked to get a different room. No help, the person who was at the desk was new and didnt know what to do, no manager on site to help us or her. The person managing the other desk, was on the phone for a while and kept doing her own stuff while we patiently waited for a long time. Finally my husband went up to the other person and asked her to help. She looked and told us there was only one room available with 2 queen beds. It was 6 pm and we were exhausted, so we said fine.As if this wasnt enough of a torture, I woke up with a huge rash the next morning. I called the manager and made her aware of the situation. She apologized and said she will get back to us. We checked out of the hotel.Being a physician by profession, I was concerned if the room was infested, the pest control report came negative. No idea what it was, may be an allergic reaction to detergent they use. In any case in spite of us having such an unpleasant experience Carillon being in the hospitality business didnt give a penny back. Worse customer service that I have seen.
Amazing spa!!! Literally the best spa I have ever been too!!! With so many options to relax from the spa, to the sauna, crystal steam room, igloo and experiential rains. Also experience the heated pool and awesome on site restaurant. It is a day well spent. Perfect for a Floridians staycation!!
So all of the reviews are true, both the good and poor ones in all honesty. Pros: location, room, building and grounds all well-maintained and beautiful. Cons: Registration/front desk was awful. We didnt the room we were supposed to have, they were argumentative, didnt follow up, asked if they could move us but didnt, etc. The restaurant was overpriced and served fries with most meals so not sure about the wellness part of their marketing. Fitness classes were in-suite meaning, you did yoga on your carpet (eww) in your room. Not really as advertised. I asked for a schedule prior to arrival and wasnt given one since it was subject to change. But! We loved the location being mid-beach and it was quiet for the most part. If you are NOT a dog person this place is not for you. Many, many dogs there with some noise but we didnt mind as dog owners.
The Carillon is a resort offering a human-sized hotel experience, an excellent table, a good location in the MiMo area and a well appreciated spa. They offer very good variety of fitness classes with excellent teachers. Very good service at the beach and great employees in every department of the hotel. However, residents and visitors are not always very human. We have to endure it occasionally with VIPs and rude people. The hotel administration should take an environmental shift. Finally, we have all enjoyed our stays and we plan to return.
Great staff, very friendly and attentive. On the pool staff isnt the quickest, often not coming back after orders or simply never stopping by to take orders. Health club staff very nice. Beach beautiful, hotel is very clean and rooms are spacious and well equipped. Still a bit pricey overall.
Great wellness resort. Got the spa day pass and was great. The spa has a great vibe in it. Very calming and soothing. The foot soaker broke and wouldnt drain or even restart the bubbles. It just randomly happened but was great all the way through. The crystal steam room was amazing and the herbal sauna was perfect it had a lavender and I believe echinacea. The cool off shower was perfect temp and Finnish sauna was great
Was there a month ago. housekeeping were amazing, front desk completely incompetent, manager is nice. Front desk ruined the experience first day but can’t give bad rating because other things were fine. Definitely wasn’t treated as a five star hotel when paying 500 plus a night
Lets start with doors that didnt work in my bathroom, toilets that were not appropriately cleaned, the first breakfast that had only one server and took almost 2 hours to get completed, a valet service that took 30 minutes to bring my car, a waitress that forgot we were there and we left and she was horrified that she forgot us outside to the best part of the horrible weekend - we got pushed around and into a fight with the restaurant staff the second evening. I travel a lot and as I said, this was one of my favorite properties.Even though the first day everything had gone wrong, the second evening we decided to meet my sister and some friends at the bar. My wife and I ordered some drinks, and we were enjoying them when my sister and friends showed up. The bar tender was attentive and made us amazing drinks. The fellow working the front told us that we were crowding the bar (even though nobody was there) and asked us to move to some small tables by the entrance. BTW - total attitude during the request, but we complied given COVID rules and concerns. We moved all our drinks ourselves, and I even took a list of additional drinks from my guests to the bar tender who made them and brought them to our little tables. A few minutes later the same guy that moved us to the small tables told us that we had to go sit outside to which I replied - NO!. You sat us here, made us move everything and now you want us to go out in the heat, I said I refused to put my guest in the heat. He got more belligerent and started raising his voice to me. As you can imagine this escalated quickly and I asked him to leave us alone or things would get ugly. Finally he left stomping away and by now we were horrified and decided to leave. To finish our experience the next morning decided to have breakfast in the same restaurant, the hostess sat us down, the waitress took our drink orders and then FORGOT ABOUT US outside. We decided to take out bags and leave this horrible hotel so we went to the Valet where even though nobody was waiting they took half an hour to bring our car. Thanks Carillon for ruining my weekend visit with my sister - I urge everyone not to go to this property - Miami Beach offers some amazing lodging - this is no longer an option for us.
Buyer beware!! This resort is also a residential property!! From the moment you arrive you will know something is wrong with this property from no lobby to no service!! Wish we had never come!! I hate writing reviews but guests need to know that they will not be welcome here!! The staff will lie to your face!! You will be told that you are not allowed in really any area from the guest pools to the public work out programs!! You will have no service! If something is broken in your room it will not get fixed!! There is no management! No one will return your calls!! The inmates are running the show here! Obviously the staff has been paid off by the residents to make your stay as miserable as possible!! As a doctor from a safety standpoint, no cleaning is done here. Hand sanitizers all empty! We brought along our own spray and had to continually clean everything! Nothing was sanitized. Even beach chairs and tables were not cleaned between guests!! We never ate here because of that, and we cancelled all of our spa treatments because it just is not safe here in Covid! As a doctor I really just needed a vacation! However this was not that!! So sad to have wasted a vacation on being aggravated all the time!! I have traveled the world and only stay in 5 star resorts, but this is not that!! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!!
Shocking service - staff that have no clue how to behave in a 5 star hotel. Appalling - if you’ve been here when it was Canyon Ranch - run a mile!!!! The ladies at front desk look miserable and one of them admitted to being very loud. She practically screeched when we want with a complaint; very argumentative lady with a bad attitude and overall in this hotel, they just don’t know how to behave. One of the other ladies at front desk looks like she’s half asleep most of the time and looks very bored / unhappy to be here (they all do; everywhere in this hotel). At the pool, they gave me a dirty towel. Didn’t offer to replace it when I pointed it out - they said no it’s clean. They don’t have anyone working at the 5th floor pool and when we told the spa reception , they didn’t even apologise, and the front desk lady argued, “no we don’t have anyone working there it’s an adult pool”. Ok, but then how do we get fresh towels and set up?! The service at this hotel is below 1 star - the staff should not be working here. God knows who hired them and where they found such people. They must have come from 1 star hotels. If you’re looking to book in Miami - run a mile from this hotel. It’s awful and you won’t imagine anyone in their right mind could give it anywhere near 5 stars. The people working here all look stressed, unhappy or angry. Argumentative, with bad attitudes and don’t know how to behave (or smile). Try St Regis Bal Harbour instead - just down the road. Much better. Staff know how to behave and are classier.
My husband and I went for a full spa day at the carillon. Booking the appointment was very easy which was great. As soon as we got to the spa, they charged us automatically which I now understand why. The spa itself is beautiful, the workers are just terrible. It was our first time there and no welcome, no tour, nothing. Luckily my husband had asked to speak to me and someone had to come get me from the spa and he was on a grand tour from Emilio who was showing him the ropes. Emilio had explained what to do so I could benefit the most from our $1300+ spa services. He was the only positive in our stay.So we are informed that the same therapist will be with us throughout which I dont find appealing because what about if you are not happy with your therapist, you are stuck with them - and thats exactly what happened. The fact that the therapist can perform 35+ treatments is excellent, but when done so poorly it really is unfortunate. Maybe they should focus their trainings so the therapist can be masters at a few things rather than have many treatments in which they cannot perform effectively. My massage was fair - my chief complaint was my back and she spent a whole 3 minutes on my back for an 80 minute massage. The scrub that I had thought I was getting turned out to be something completely different than explained and my facial - lets not even go there. Being an aesthetician myself and knowing what a spa experience is suppose to be - this definitely was not it. The price is very high end and to have to spend 1300+ on services and the quality to be less than average is disheartening. So overall, the facility is beautiful but the actual services were not. I would not recommend anyone to this spa for treatments.
I thought this spa was quite decent. If you do a daypass you will access to a steam room, sauna, igloo room and a indoor hot tub. All of the above was good. The downside to my experience was there was not enough day beds in the spa area- only three to be exact which is not enough. Overall the area is limited in space. The highlight was the adults only pool- very nice and secluded. If you come, do more than the daypass get a spa service you will probably like it better.
Love this place!! The attention to detail and amenities are incredible. I Am obsessed with Claudio’s Zumba class and Paul’s ballet class. Leah, Alicia and Sarah are also top notch professional instructors who make the classes so fun and perfectly challenging. Spending the mornings exercising and the afternoons at the pool, beach and/or spa make this place such a perfectly balanced time away from the hustle and bustle.
A Healing HavenI spent a few days at the Carillon Miami Wellness Resort a little over a month ago. My father had just died and I needed a place to land and grieve and process before returning to New York. Im late to write this review, but I wanted to say that I couldnt have had a better stay. The actual property and amenities are all 5 star amazingness, thats obvious - but the other aspect that you cant put a price on, no matter how nice or expensive or fancy a hotel is, are the PEOPLE who work there. I was astonished by the care and concern and personal service I received from all of the incredible staff members at Carillon. The overnight manager, Carlos, who greeted me upon arrival, was so kind and made sure I had absolutely everything I needed during my stay, even checking in on me the next day to see how I was doing. Thank you, Carlos!! Then there was Kiki, Chris, Hugo, Krystalene, Hero, and Renee, all of whom went out of their way -- even when they were handling other guests requests, to provide top notch service. There were the lovely attendants at the spa, the two Marias, not to mention the unbelievably healing massage I received from Alexx. In short, my time at the Carillon was beyond special and healing - as I moved through one of lifes most painful passages, I was taken care of, made to feel special, and again, just treated with so much kindness and compassion. Im sorry I dont have all staff members names, but thanks to EVERYONE. I will never forget my time at Carillon-- and I also cant wait to return!!!!
Second time visiting this hotel, and both times have been brilliant experiences. The amenities and rooms really are excellent with a big focus on healthy living. The hotel is located in the quieter area of Miami Beach where it is ideal to relax in the day, and then just a short 5-10 minute taxi ride to the busier South Beach.
Amazing service, clean rooms, unlimited classes available and one of the best places we have stayed!!!! I highly recommend this place if you want to feel like a celebrity. The staff made you feel like you BELONG there!!! The breakfast buffet was extremely delicious. The pools were immaculate. The valet staff was top notch. The gym had amazing and new equipment available to use. Loved our stay there!
I purchased a resort pass for my husband and myself. Once we got there we found out that the spas are separated into genders because (CLOTHING IS OPTIONAL). Which lead to more uncomfortable situations. Not only were we not able to enjoy the spa amenities together, we had to do them alone and along side nude strangers.***But what made this situation WAYYY worse was the fact that there was children ages 12 and up NUDE in hot tubs with adults.***Is this even legal? The Spa itself is amazing. Wonderful amenities and attentive staff. But given the circumstances I do not recommend it and most definitely will not be returning.
This is a wonderful hotel-condo building for many reasons not least of which is that it’s located on a quieter stretch of Miami beach for those who want to get away from the business of South Beach – yet it’s a short bus or cab ride away. The staff is wonderful, particularly those working on the beach and the hotel boasts some excellent security features. Did not try the spa but it looked well attended and the Sunday brunch is a must. Stayed in a suite with a kitchen for one month rented from the owner. Important to note that renters should get security access to the entire compound which is more expensive or you will be forced to walk around the block to enter the compound from the front entrance which makes beach access troublesome. If you rent, there is an excellent grocery store right across the road but not much else in the way of shopping. It’s expensive, but competitive with other hotels/condos of this quality.
Pros: location to the beach and spa.Cons: I am having issues with my billing. During my stay, (2) separate staff confirmed how much breakfast credit I had. However, after receiving my bill, I was still charged! Plus, there were other issues with my bill. After multiple attempts to call the desk and several left messages over the course of 1 week, no one returned my calls. I reached out to the billing department regarding this issue and other billing problems, and they forwarded the emails to the front desk. Again, after over 1 week of calls and email, no one from the front desk has even replied!Their customer service and support is a joke and scam!
The absolute best wellness resort in South Florida. The staff was attentive, friendly and experts in their respective fields. The sheer number of spa amenities was mind boggling. If you are looking for a true wellness experience and not just another hotel with a spa, the Carillon is the best place to stay.
We have visited the Carillon before, and I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews, enough to consider re-booking my trip to another hotel. Glad I relied on my own past experience and kept my reservation. We arrived early and were quickly checked in by the wonderful Simone W. at the front desk (who was helpful and on point each time we had to go to the front desk). The hotel follows Covid protocols and limits the number of people in the elevator, mask mandates and hand sanitizer throughout the hotel (including the elevator). The room was clean and had everything that we needed, and when or if we needed extra towels etc, you can simply put in your order on the room tablet and they bring your items up shortly.Beach set up also followed social distancing protocols with chairs spaced out. A big round of applause to Markison and Jamal who were attentive and kept cool even on the busy hectic days.Geri E. on beach service, even eith a mask and sunglasses, you can hear her smile as she serves, even on the hottest of days. It does take time to get orders, but considering the bar is up by the pool and there are only 2-3 servers, taking a the orders, I suggest putting your order in early as by the time you get them, youll be ready to eat or drink. The beach staff is slightly understaffed, however even with the limited assets available, the do work hard and do a phenomenal job.Thank you to Simone, Markison, Jamal and Geri for a wonderful week long stay, we will certainly be coming back!
I was blown away by the Carillion Resort day pass. I have been to many spa resorts throughout the world and here in Miami Beach in particular, because I am a local and sometimes, there is no place Id rather be than a home; here in Miami! I have experienced the Four Seasons/Surf Club in Surfside, Ritz Carltons EXHALE Spa in Bal Harbour, Fountaine Bleus Spa, Eden Rocs spa, and the Carillion resort spa is by far bigger and has more therapeutic experiences within its spa area. I booked a resort day pass when one of my girlfriends came to visit me and we felt like superstars on vacation for the day. Kiki greeted us at the front spa desk when we checked in and Bonnie at the Cabana pool made us delicious top-shelf margaritas and since it was Taco Tuesday we had the Mahi-Mahi tacos by the pool; but FYI, mahi-Mahi was THE ONLY taco option, still it was yummy. 2 drinks and 2 taco plates with a side of fries cost us about $120. I think this is expensive but it is quite comparable to the rest of Miami Beachs poolside lunches. The spa features heated, crystal lounge chairs alongside its whirlpool-this was SO relaxing and cozy. I will go here again on a rare, rare cold Miami day when my next friend or sister comes to visit. The resort/day pass at Carillion is worth the $100. The service was kind and friendly, the Cabana pool is ideally situated along the beach path and the Spa is really top-notch. If I had to make an adjustment, its that the Carillion spa is dark; dark stone, dim lighting-the Four Seasons is beautifully lit with white marble but its small. I would suggest bringing your own hair care products, soap and oils, I did find that their product line was not of good quality.
Love the facility. Lots of wellness options. Took a class with Karin called Tabata. So much ch fun, exceptional instructor.
I did the 50 minute well this massage and it was life-changing. I also did the infrared bed treatment and it was so amazing. Jack is so nice and knowledgeable. Ask for Lydia S when you get a massage she is amazing! So worth the money and experience!!
On the beach, great bath circuit with one of the best SPA in South Florida. I have been exercising and hurt myself, my shoulder and leg were hurting, my wife booked me a session with Monica, she was fantastic, and I feel like new ready to exercise again. Our experience in the hotel was fantastic, food, staff, SPA, facilities, and every morning with a great weak up call, the SUNRISE.
Front desk staff were excellent, from there, not so good. Everywhere you go they ask if you are a resident/owner, if you’re not they treat you not so well and put all kinds of restrictions on you, from where you can sit on “ their “beach to when you can use the pool on the 4 th floor. We had a 2 bedroom suite on the 10th floor, the sinks in both bathrooms were clogged, calls for maintenance went unanswered.... You don’t get what you pay for here
“Amazing views for the room!”Had a room near the top which had amazing wall to wall glass overlooking the open sea from so high up. Amazing to wake up to such a view! Lovely hotel, great staff, and amazing beach too! Beach staff were fabulous too! Highly recommended!
Love the spa here. I try to go once a month at least to unwind for a few hours. It’s clean and the hydrotherapy circuit is second to none.
Beautiful and convenient location, right across the street from Publix and Starbucks, and a beautiful room (we stayed in a suite with a kitchenette because we have a baby and knew we would want to cook in room). Terrible service. Rude, unhelpful staff who acted indifferent at best when we made simple requests, like asking for a sharp knife to eat our steak with, or when we had to wait nearly an hour late at night to receive a sheet to go on the stained pack n play mattress. Go to Acqualina up the road for a much better customer service experience (we stayed there a few months ago and were wowed by their team). Carillon gets a 5 for location, but 1-2 for customer service.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! staff are amazing very polite and caring to their guest. This resort has so much to offer for a great price and is well taken care of. PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX if you are alone, honeymoon, or with family and children. I am so coming back here!
We had a lovely time on a girls weekend and the Carillon offered exactly what we wanted in terms of location, rooms, wellness and spa. The reason it did not get 5-stars as the service was a bummer. We often had odd encounters with bartenders for instance not caring about getting our orders until we had to wave them down (once for a menu, and again to order). Then the womens locker room needs more attendants as there was not a single time anyone was there to help check us in, provide robes/locker/slippers. Then the lockers themselves had a lot of issues with locking us out and keys deciding not to work. The spa services were lovely. Fatima rocked a deep tissue massage and Emma was my girl for facials!Wonderful trip to Miami!
Terrible service, lousy massage - they just touch and oil the stinkers even though I ordered a deep massage. No briefing before the massage, violation of all measures provided for such a business.
This was a much better resort when it was operated by Canyon Ranch. The services and offerings have worsened considerably. The spa is crowded and dirty owing to innumerable cut rate specials and staffing reductions, the property is poorly maintained and the selection of fitness classes, once the central attraction, has been cut dramatically. The food in the restaurant is far below what would be expected at an all-you-can-eat buffet but paradoxically at very high a la carte prices. It is a sad waste of what is structurally a very nice property.
I visited the spa and had a wonderful massage with Andrea. The Himalayan Salt Stone massage was very relaxing and soothing, just what I needed to destress. The rest of the amenities of the spa were also nice.
I recently visited the Spa for a massage at the Carillion Hotel. It was the best massage experience ever. Being greeted and scheduling a massage was made easy. Being introduced to Richard, the masseuse, and his experience of massage was an amazing experience. This is what a massage is supposed to be about. Thank you again for a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend this spa to anyone.
I havent had a chance to stay yet because of a personal tragedy that occurred right before my stay. Shontay and her team were so nice to work with and went out of their way to help me out at such a bad time. I WILL definitely be staying with them this summer. If their personal service is any representation of how awesome the resort is...I know Ill love my stay here.
DONT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOU VACATION.Well furnished, well equipped... but unfortunately the worst management I have ever seen.BE AWARE OF UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES... when I asked for late checkout at 1 pm instead of 12pm they declined the request and send security to escort us out of the room in very rude way to guarantee no overstay.I stayed there 6 days, every time I come back to my suite I found someone inside from the hotel personnel when I ask what is she or he doing in my room they say housekeeping while the room was cleaned by the housekeeping earlier the someday. HOW CAN THEY GO IN & WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING FOR INSIDE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.After leaving the hotel I was shocked of how many charges I have on my credit card all of them were false and unauthorized but the one that really pissed me off is the smoking in the room ($650) and when I called to ask about it they said that one of the guest in the same floor complained about smoking smell and they figured out it was my room because im the only new guest there even though they didnt found any evidence to backup the story. Finally I dont recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to enjoy Miami Beach and appreciate customer service.Furniture: 8 of 10Clean Room: 8 of 10Gym, Fitness and SPA: 9 of 10Hotel Location: 5 of 10 far from all hotspotsCheckin Process: 9 of 10Checkout Process: 1 of 10CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: 0 of 10Overall Rating: 3 of 10
Paradise. The apartments are incredibly comfortable and luxurious; the fitness classes are of the highest quality - my personal favorites were all of the yoga classes, (especially the classes with Ivana and Sarah), and I absolutely love the spa and private beach. The perfect place for wellness and relaxation.
Normally I never post any reviews, but when something/someone is so terrible I feel it is important to educate future consumers.*This review is strictly towards the carillon spa*To start we were charged before any service which included gratuity and tax. i noted it was unfortunate they had a standard 18% because being a regular at spas my wife/and I leave much more than that to our therapists.... My tour of the facility was great and the only good thing about the entire day (I think the gentlemens name was Emilio and I apologize if that is incorrect, he was an older gentlemen) he explained every single treatment room, sauna, steam room, shower rooms etc wonderfully! He took me to the pool showed me where my wife and I could spend time together before our treatment. When my wife made her way out I was gloating how good Emilio was and she received no tour! No explanation nothing! Emilio apologized, said someone dropped the ball on the womens side and he ushered someone to go explain to my wife what everything was about. We had booked 3 services each for our spa day. Massage, scrub and facial. The massage was great if I had asked for strictly a Head and leg massage...each were massaged for a total of 70 out of 80 minutes. My back was massaged for maybe! 10 minutes (which is strange and must be there protocol because my wifes massage was almost identical)....overall the massage was GARBAGE! My massage chair at home offers better back relief! . The scrub was not the scrub we were accustomed to, however based on their description of it, it sufficed. I told my therapist that my wife was a licensed esthetician, hoping she would really put in the extra effort to ensure the facial was high end but that did not happen. Zero extractions were performed. Overall the facial was something I could have done in the bathroom of my own house. Overall the treatments we received I would rate a 2/10 and that is being generous.Being a frequent visitor to high end spas I can 100% state this is not one of them. The showers/sauna/steam room were beautiful. The actual treatments performed were extremely subpar. If you are a frequent flyer to spas and know what quality is, DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION or you will be disappointed.
The Carillon is an amazing wellness resort. Very clean and modern. Beautiful rooms with fantastic views. Top notch staff, spa, fitness center, rockwall, excersice classes, pools, restaurant & juice/smoothie bar. Located right off of Miami Beach youll barely need to leave the property. Absolutely loved my time there!
Lovely amenities and spa service packages. My only wish is that they have a proper lounge to hang out and chill. There is a 2-room waiting area as we wait for the therapists get us, but the room is stuffy and I bet those cushions have not been washed in quite some time - my nose was immediately running because of the dust mice.
We did not stay at the hotel but we did lounge in the beach across the hotel and rent the beach chairs from the hotel. The staff is absolutely amazing and so accommodating. Amanda and Fredo went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated well at all times. next time we come to Miami we will stay at the Carillon simply due to the fact of their excellent customer service.
The Spa at The Carillon is absolutely out of this world. They have several different types of hot and cold rooms, aromatherapy rooms, and special rainforest showers, all of which are free to use before and after your scheduled treatments. And the treatments themselves are top notch, with a wide variety of options that are all executed perfectly. Staff is also extremely friendly and attentive to your every need
Not impressed. On a weekend, they were out of bottled water, mint for mojitos, restaurant was closed from 11-12pm, etc. Mind you, we were offered the bottle water and mojitos by the staff, and then they were out 🙄 The guest services told us no restaurants were open past 1030pm in the area - well, we found at least 4 within 2 blocks. The room is clean-ish and nice but nothing special. We waited for more than 1 hour for food at lunch, other people were served before us when we arrived at least 30 min before them. This is not a 5 star hotel. I’ve been to a 5 star... this is far far from it.
A nice resort property in North Beach Miami. Very comfortable, well appointed suites, great pools and spa. Management could do with some maruring--we arrived early on an uncrowded day and still were made to wait until 4 to check in. (No fun.) Also, they rotate front desk staff every 30 min it seems--so you will never be helped by the same person twice (ie: no relationship-building here!) Lastly, our stay incl buffet breakfast which was plentiful but the items never changed in 5 days and it doesnt include fresh eggs just the powdered kind that get scrambled-- which they always served in a wet, wet glop : ( All told, we paid $5K for 5 nights. (Watch out for the hospitality and room taxes!
I had the best experience here. If you enjoy being able to stay healthy or workout while on vacation this place is definitely for you. The class list is one I havent found anywhere else and features a variety of experiences from spinning, yoga, TRX, pilates, boxing, rock climbing, bootcamps, meditation and more. The staff is very friendly. Each room has a nice kitchenette. Beach front access and 5 pools I believe. Would love to come back.
Great Rooms with direct access to the beach , we loved our stay until the last night I could not wait to get out of there! Their service team remembered us every time we came down to the pool. But the security did not. Can you imagine the embarrassing feeling we have when security walks up to our family with guest in the pool and ask tell us that this pool is only for guest and residents! Wait we are a guest we have been there for 3 days already. He radios in our name and finds out we are guest but still he goes on hard. I have never been so embarrassed. My children were crying and my husband was very upset. We told the front and she was not conforting she did not even speak to me as we checked out. We Visit Flordia often but will not return here.
Had an ABSOLUTE awesome time @Carillon in Miami. From the front door to the front desk staff to the bartender & restaurant staff.Everything was on POINT. With the selection of beautiful pools, access to the best PART of the beach, the Spa package, the Lunch at Grille and the atmosphere were just absolutely THE BEST! Thank you....Anita Reid & Marlene Evans
We are currently staying at this hotel and there is absolutely no Managment. They don’t work at night, haven’t arrived by 10am, we have a dangerous sliding door off its hinges in the bathroom that is unfixed for 2 days, a broken washing machine, etc etc etc. Staff don’t follow up, don’t fix problems and are not efficient with no supervision. Ruins what should be an amazing property and experience
My girlfriend got us a Groupon for a spa day with a 50 minute massage. Don’t know how much she paid, but we spent all day (8 hours) there and had so much fun and such a relaxing time. Highly recommended
This place was far from being a stress free and healing Vacation! The staff rushed you as soon as you pull in taking your luggage out of your car, and the staff walks in your room whenever they want ( NO DO NOT DISTURB TAG FOR YOUR DOOR), and the rush you out the day you leave.Extremely overpriced, they charge you 40 a day for valet parking (no other choice) even if you dont take your car while your there), uneducated staff, went look for a meditation class, they had me running all around the resort looking) finally found someone that knew just to be told it was cancelled)!! We spent most of our Vacation away from the resort!! But this is the place for you if you want to experience your Vacation follow an enormous amount of RULES. NOT TO MENTION THAT A LOT OF WHAT YOU READ AND SEE ON THEIR WEBSITE BEFORE GOING IS FABRICATED. We wont go here again!!
Amazing breakfast. If you want to make it top of the line. Let Alberto the server take care of you outstanding service. He just took my breakfast to another level. Highly recommend this beautiful Hotel.
Only went to the restaurant thyme. Food was mediocre and over priced. Steaks had to be sent back. Had better from publix. Tried to pass off regular white rice as jasmine. Cocktails were bad. Service was slow. Would not go again. Did have a nice wine list though
Elegant, cozy ,concierge very attentive, nice program for fitness and the way to stay healthy, beautiful pools with a great view to the ocean, price moderate, great amenities and Facilities, very nice restaurant too ..The Strand. ...this Hotel is good for family with kids ,many attractions and place to visit around, if you need a Supermarket you have one infront
This our third year in a row. Its so relaxing and so beautiful. There are lots of things to do and lots of places to sit and relax if you dont want to do anything! The rooms are lovely and spacious and quiet. Its also in a great part of town... there are lots of restaurants and shops very close by. I cant wait to come back.
Always wonderful! Beautiful location, incredible spa, gym, daily exercise classes. Excellent food poolside and in restaurant. Used to be a Canyon Ranch resort and is therefore equipped with the most wonderful gym, spa, massage and beauty Sertrvices, and exercise classes. Truly unique and special. Oh, and if you decide to venture out for food, Fifis (seafood restaurant) and Nuevo Campo (Argentine restaurant) are 2 minutes away. Both are great.
Great massage, good pricing! The spa was very relaxing and the thermal experience was very unique! Loved the crystal steam room and the igloo.
Enjoyed 1 hr Floatation at the spa, helped with muscle soreness a lot. I chose to turn light and sound off. The tank is modern and big, I am 64 and fit comfortably.
Rate per night $899. 1 bedroom sweet is the size of a closet. Everything in the room is outdated. Property is advertised with four restaurants. In reality, only one restaurant. So called “health resort” does NOT offer freshly squeezed juices. Included in your stay breakfast is the smallest “sorry” station. No omelette station. “Assorted bagels” consists on one kind of bagel that is in no way was baked this week. Food is stale. Lunch menu is very limited. Dinner a bit better but service is sub par. Not worth the money.
This is great place!! Great location and service!! I loved it!!!
Of the top ten hotels of the world, Ive had the pleasure of staying at all but one, with Villa Deste being my favorite. When a close friend put me up for a couple nights at Canyon Ranch in Miami, knowing my proclivities for luxury and impecable service, I knew my visit was either going to be a bust or fondly memorable. As my five stars would indicate, it was the latter, and then some. First of all, the view was spectacular, and beautifully framed by the simplicity of widow panes. My room was meticulously appointed with every amenity I could desire, and the beds were Lunesta on steroids - simply the most somnolent I can recall. As to the other facets of my stay, no detail was overlooked and I was thoroughly delighted with every aspect of their service (friendly, if not doting), exsquitely prepared meals (at more than reasonable prices), and ample hotel amenities. The spa was first rate (check out Canyon Ranch Royale), and their fitness facility (of which I used one of their top notch personal trainers, and took a few classes [yogo, agility/balance, and ropes] were superior in every degree. The grounds are flawlessly maintained and the private beach with complimentary cabanas all go together to create a relaxing, carefree experience which have spent ten times as much to enjoy. Last week, when I had to be in Miami for the christening of Oceanias new ship Marina, I chose to once again stay Canyon Ranch.
Very good place and hotel. Easy and fast access to Miami Beach. Highly recommended for families long and short stay.Awesome and professional experience Massage and SPA centre, medicated massage services available.
The entire experience was everything I wanted! Wonderful spa, delightful staff, delicious food, even a special treat to celebrate my boyfriends birthday! Money well spent, dont think twice!!
Have stayed here many times. Property has gone down hill since Canyon Ranch was in charge. New management seems focused on profits not its guests. Very disappointing. There are much better options now for the money.
We are having a great stay here! The room is large and beautiful. The property and grounds are immaculate, and we love that there are 4 pools! Highly recommend
Very unpleasant experience I finally got a chance to go to the spa and was forced to wear a mask. I could not breath I later had to go to the hospital when I had a panic attack and was told it was caused by severe oxygen deprivation. I will not return to this hotel ever again
Stayed there with my wife and our 6 month old baby for our honeymoon for 5 nights. Spend $2000. The last morning, at 8:30am, one of the housekeeping staff rang thr door bell three times. My wife, our baby and me woke up. I went to open the door and the lady was rude and asked me when are we going to checkout. I told her around 11:30am. But why would she ask anyway. Then later around 11am the same lady rang the door bell again. I opened, she didnt say anything but „oh, okay“ like she was bothered that we are still there . So rude. At checkout i complained about it but all we got was a sorry. We paid a lot of money and at the end we felt like being kicked out. It’s supposed to be a 5 star hotel...we have another 4 nights in miami and wanted to stay at the carillon again but decided not to. Shame.
How in Gods name did yhis place become a member of Leading Hotels of the World? Few words, outdated, dirty, Room a/c didnt work (77 in the room), beach does not open till 10, you have to walk through ankle deep seaweed to get to the water. LHW should be ashamed.
Were residents here and the Carillon is pretty awesome overall. They have a gym, restaurant, and spa. The beach is right there also. The only downside is there is really less benefits of being a resident ever since Canyon Ranch sold and was renamed the Carillon a couple of years ago.
Amazing spa! Amazing service. Beautiful beach and views. Its a more luxurious, calm and quiet spot compared to other hotels in Miami Beach. Will definately return.
Staff needs to be more friendlier . Our room wasn’t ready so they made us go to the bar and sit and wait . It’s was almost 5 pm before we got our room . When people travel they would like to settle in their room not at the bar with drunks getting loud and obnoxious.
For mediocre mediocre place to go to Spa if you like mediocre this is a place to go. We did get it on Groupon .. so as expected
Such a beautiful space! The spa is amazing, even the bath and locker areas are beautiful & well appointed! Richard can be counted on for an as amazing message experience!
