I recently had a very disappointing encounter with Massage Envy. I had purchased twelve sessions for both my wife and I, looking forward to some much-needed relaxation and self-care. However, eight sessions remained when my account was unexpectedly deactivated, and I lost access to those sessions even though I called at the years end seeing if they expired and was repeatedly told, they did not. Since I did not opt into a monthly payment and paid for the twenty-four sessions in full, my account was not set to auto-renewal which was the reasoning why my account was deactivated.1. Communication and Customer Service: The lack of communication was disheartening. When I reached out to resolve the issue, I was met with the response that there was nothing they could do. As a paying customer, I expected better support and understanding.2. Account Deactivation: Deactivating my account without warning or a clear reason was unacceptable. It left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a client.3. Lost Prepaid Sessions: Losing eight prepaid sessions is not only a financial loss but also a missed opportunity for self-care. I had already invested in these sessions, and it’s incredibly disappointing that Massage Envy couldn’t find a solution.4. Professionalism: While I understand that policies exist, I believe there should be more flexibility when it comes to loyal customers. A little empathy and understanding go a long way.

Recently went in for a massage at the South Miami Massage Envy location with Fernando. Fernando addressed all my concerns and made sure to apply proper pressure, he is by far the best massage therapist I have worked with across multiple locations. Its incredible what a good massage can do for you not just physically but mentally. If you want to level up your massage session, I strongly recommend scheduling a session with Fernando, you wont regret it!

Would never get into any sort of contractual agreement with this company. Had an issue at this location in which I waited for my masseuse and she never showed. I was not told she would not be coming in and waited close to an hour thinking she was just late. I was told I would get something for my lost time and instead all I got was an offer to sign up with their contracts. Why would I sign up when I have had such dismal service? This place is poorly managed and I am so glad I am not in any sort of contractual agreement with them.

I had a facial with Louisa today. She knows her stuff! I came for a regular facial and some extractions. My face feels and looks so clean and you can’t even tell she did any extractions! I booked again for next month. Thank you, Louisa for your expertise and care.

Best massage ever! Fernando knew how to apply pressure where needed to relieve the knots. And he really worked the area I specified. His technique was amazing and very professional.

Today I had an appointment with Alejandra and it was a NIGHTMARE. she extracted my entire face full of “pimples” (i had none) and my face was EXTREMELY inflamed and irritated. i later found out this is extremely against protocol since i had only booked for a soothing facial but instead she went crazy extracting blackheads with little to no prep and NO FACIAL like i had booked for. i went back a few hours later in hopes of getting some sort of refund. instead, another esti named Erika and the owner came out and apologized profusely for my bad experience. Erika then did a soothing and repairing facial on me, free of charge and during her lunch break, to help clear my skin. Erika is an amazing person and amazing at her job. I cannot thank her enough, she is AMAZING. My skin feels so much better after the trauma it went through just hours prior. I gave this place 5 stars because the customer service was incredible and Erika is the best. If you are going for a facial, NEVER book with alejandra and ALWAYS book with Erika.

I do the 90 minute full body massage with Armando, and it’s always amazing!! If you’re looking for a professional and relaxing massage, he should be your go to!

I routinely schedule my once a month appointments with my wonderful therapist Alicia after my session. Yesterday when I arrived, I was told that I didn’t have an appointment! I was rescheduled at that time. On my way back to my car, I was called and told that Alicia’s client had just canceled…minutes before the appointment, and that I could have that time slot.I don’t believe a word of this. I did return for my massage which as always was terrific.

I had a wonderful experience at this location! The front staff were very helpful and friendly and my massage with Dania was so good that I signed up for a membership in a heartbeat!

I have called MULTIPLE times to freeze my account, because I am unable to use my prepaids at the moment. EVERY time I have filled out the freeze form OR physically spoken to someone, CLAIMING my account was frozen, I CONTINUE to get charged monthly! I no longer live in the state and have called this location 8 different times to handle this and NOTHING gets done! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER had to deal with, regardless of the business! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!

Raul was wonderful, I usually prefer a firmer massage but he listened to my body and limitations due to current flare of my sacroilitis and I was able to enjoy a relaxing massage and some great tips to aid with my healing. Would definitely recommend him 👍🏻

Went yesterday with my Mom to get a full body massage. I had Diego and my Mom had Ivette. We came out brand new. The massages were super espectacular. Thank you both for your service.

I read the reviews before going, but was desperate for a sports massage. I was prepared for awful service as these reviews state. Clearly this location has heard and responded to all of these issues. I walked in to find two very friendly people behind the desk that were quick to take care of me. The paperwork was painless. I was offered tea or water. My therapist, Jordan, was just as amicable. Not only was he amazing at the massage, but he was specific to my needs and concerns of what my body needed that day. He made sure the massage pressure was perfect, and did much needed sports stretching. When I was done, the manager took care of me and couldnt be nicer. I was so happy with my massage and front desk service that I joined for the $65 a month massage.

Diego provided an excellent experience. My lower back had flared and I had a chiropractic adjustment earlier that day and was still in pain. Diego was able to release a lot of my stress to the point that I fell asleep on the table. Great work!

Raul was amazing. I highly recommend if you have any pain. He is also a physical therapist. I have had pain in my shoulder cause of a car accident a few years ago and he is the only person who’s been able to relieve some of that pain. He was very kind and knowledgeable. The front desk staff was also so kind and helpful. I enjoyed my experience overall. I highly recommend coming here.

I received a one hour full body massage from Jordan at the South Miami location. He was very professional & did a great job. The session was proceeded by a 30 minute stretch session which really loosened my muscles & made the massage very productive. Thank you very much Jordan!

I have a membership with massage envy- it’s great deal! Mariana is my preferred and usual masseuse. She does a great firm massage for my tight and sore muscles. Jordan is also incredible! He is really knowledgeable and helped me with a neck strain I had for weeks. Love this location

Although I’ be been by a customer for years and had Hot Stone massages, this was my first time with Diego. He relieved my lower back pain and was very nice. I will definitely book with him again.

Cant say enough about how well Jordan addressed my concerns. I had a greater range of neck motion and less shoulder tightness after my session with Jordan.Jordan did a tremendous job addressing my problem areas. I mentioned my issues once - he worked on each adding stretches and complementary treatments based on his experience. Look forward to my next appointment with Jordan.Second time Natalie has worked on me. She did another great job addressing upper shoulder and other areas I asked her to focus.Raul did a great job addressing all of the issues I expressed. He also gave his experienced opinion of the root cause of a particular issue I was having further recommending a product that could assist in my recovery. Really appreciate the treatment and recommendations.Natalie was just terrific. She asked my specific issues and focused on them throughout the massage. I expected to be sore that day and the next but was surprised that a large portion of my tightness was gone experiencing no soreness or tightness the following day. Terrific experience.

Despite several requests to cancel our membership, they continued to charge us. The massage therapists are good, but the business practices are terrible. DO NOT sign up for a membership under any circumstances! They will never let you go. Hats off to Capital One for helping us.

Been a member for years but unfortunately dont use my credits as much as id like.. my one star review is because they have an option for 3 months to put your membership on hold. Basically you only pay $20 a month to keep your membership but youre not receiving credits so it helps the customer catch up... employee on the phone sent me an email to fill out the form. Along with the email of the manager and his email.. got the paperwork, filled it out and sent it back the same day...never heard anything back and come to see the following month comes and who gets charged the full month? Me of course so this 1star is for the manager dropping the ball because the employee did everything right ALSO I emailed the manager asking why this happened and never got a response back. Maybe this will get their attention 🤔 🤷 maybe when thiis is resolved Ill update my review

The massages are fine, but what pissed me off is how the sales representative tried to guilt trip me into a membership with artificial sense of urgency and “promotions”. I clearly expressed that I had to think about the membership instead of jumping straight in, but they wouldn’t respect my decision. It even got to the point where they started consoling me about “financial problems” they assumed I had. Yes, I know the representatives probably have sale quotas to meet, but they shouldn’t be jumping at me like Rottweilers on a chain. Not the vibe.

I really enjoyed the interior design of the waiting area as well as the product line that was used in my facial. The girl who approached me with an iPad was extremely sweet and genuine. My aesthetician, Austin, was very knowledgeable and professional, and kind.

Diego is a very skilled masseuse. He possesses great control over all pressure forms.

Natalie was out for a bit and so I experienced other therapists who are also excellent but no one does deep tissue like Natalie.

Massage envy South Miami Raul is an amazing masseuse. He knows just what to do to make you feel better. As a dental hygienist my back and shoulders are always tight he loosens me up so I can live pain free.

I’ve been a member at Massage Envy for years and have had several aestheticians at various locations. For the last few years I became “comfortable” with my nearest location and was hesitant to switch even though I had moved and it was no longer convenient. However, after experiencing some pretty bad service at my former location, I finally took the plunge and went elsewhere…I’m so glad I did! My facial with Ileana at the South Miami location was not only amazing, but her extensive knowledge was obvious and she was able to make some simple suggestions that could greatly improve my skincare routine. She was professional, warm and welcoming and I never felt pressured to purchase anything. It was truly a fantastic experience and I will certainly be back!

Always disappointed on the time of the massage they offer. It’s advertised for 60 min, but then they explain it’s actually 50 min of massage. Afterall, masseuse always start late and finish 10 minutes before time, so it ends up being a good 40 minutes of massage. Besides, it’s hard to find a really good masseuse.

The employees at this location always offer stellar customer service to me. They make sure that my appointments are scheduled, and that I am aware of any promotions that the studio is offering. Another amazing massage therapist at Massage Envy in South Miami. Leslie is incredible. And I am thrilled that I have so many great options in one location.

Lousy deep tissue massage that wasn’t deep, did not try to address body area of concern, and ended up just being covered by a lot of body lotion with no body benefit, room was too cold, receptionist assured me I could park in the back of their building for free, which wasn’t true and led to my car being towed or paying a high fee. And these are just the main concerns.

I love coming here for both facials and massages. I especially love having my facial appointments with Lizbet! She’s incredibly kind and makes the experience wonderful. I recommend her 100%

I’ve been a client of Massage Envy for years and it is all thanks to their amazing therapist, Blanche. The knowledge and skills that woman has, is unlike anyone else I have ever gotten a deep tissue massage with. I call her my doctor because any pain or tightness I feel in my back, she takes it away. I feel like a brand new person when I finish a session with her. If I could rate her 100 stars on here, I would. She is undeniably the best!

The team is always professional and helpful. Greeting are always with a smile! Since becoming a member and getting regular massages, I feel like a new person. I lived with discomfort in my legs for years and it was significantly reduced (practically gone away). All thanks to Alicia at Massage Envy! She is wonderful!

I hardly ever post reviews, but the Massage Envy in South Miami (on Red Road) deserves a special mention. Great location - very well maintained, spotless bathrooms. I know the area well so I just parked on the street; Im unsure if the building has its own parking. However, this was my first time at Massage Envy, and my only request after working from home for the past few months and traveling for Thanksgiving and Christmas was for someone to break me apart and put me back together. And Irma did just that! She was very professional, very courteous - really removed all my shoulder and back knots with intention. I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it and Im looking to make the location my once-every-three-months spot. Sui at the front desk was also super helpful. I will definitely go back...

Layrelys is a fantastic therapist. She is caring, kind and so considerate. She helps me relax and takes such good care of her clients. I would recommend her to anyone!! I would also like to say that this particular location is one of the best in Miami in my opinion. It’s always clean and comfortable, and the staff is so professional and helpful.

Blanche is my therapist and is the most amazing woman. She knows exactly what I need with every visit. I am almost gave up my membership back in 2014 until they assigned Blanche, which I thought it was gonna be my last session. When Blanche left the Miami Lakes location I followed her to South Miami. I’m currently booked for sessions until December 2024 and waiting for her 2025 calendar to open up to book my sessions.

I’ve had good and bad experiences at Massage Envy’s various locations, but I’ve been extremely impressed with the South Miami (Red Road) location! The staff is friendly, helpful, and kind, but the reason I drive so far to this location is because of their star therapist, Blanche. I’m not sure why she doesn’t have her own practice, as she is absolutely amazing! Blanche is intuitive in her approach. I require deep pressure in my upper back, for example, and I’ve tensed up with certain therapists who somehow manage to use too much pressure where I don’t need it, causing pain, yet never quite use enough pressure on the muscles that need it the most. This never happens with Blanche. She is so knowledgeable and focused that she always knows exactly what I need. I’ve referred many others to her and they say the same thing. Whenever I finish a massage with her, I feel so relaxed and my body feels healthier. I won’t make an appointment there with anyone but her. She is gifted, and truly the best.

Gus was great! We were traveling so he isn’t my normal therapist, but he listened to my concerns and I left feeling great. He was also very nice and would make sure the pressure was good and that I was enjoying the experience which is thoughtful. They had to cancel the morning of because of a therapist’s personal emergency and they handled the rebooking gracefully and got us in for our couples massage close to our original time.

I had my first massage with Irma yesterday. She was professional and amazing at what she does. She pin pointed all my problem areas and really helped me. She also gave me stretches to do at home to help counteract the working out I do in between massages. I highly recommend her!

Raul has been amazing for me throughout the years. I am very picky and do not want just any therapist since I have many surgeries and deal with constant related issues. Raul has helped me manage the level of daily pain to be very little to low levels. He knows the complete anatomy of the body well which allows him to work on the exact points he can or cannot work on. I would recommend him to anyone with my eyes closed and know he can help you as well.

I recently moved to the Groves from the West Coast, I lived in more than 15 Cities around the US and since I am a member of Massage Envy (about ten years) I have been visiting many different Locations and I have to be honest this one is far the best location I had experienced, starting from the front desk staff always courteous with a big smile and professional approach every time I go.Daryl is the best massage therapist I tried (probably more than 50 therapist through the years) He is knowledgeable and discuss in every visit the focal areas and he is able to apply the right pressure (usually is hard to find deep tissue massage therapist) Daryl is excellent applying firm pressure and stretching the muscles, he is able to relieve the pain after my stressful work days or after my workout. The results: I feel like a brand new person after every section.I’m very happy with this location from A to Z (ambiance, cleanliness, professional attention, etc) I would call this place the 5 star of the Massage Envy Chain because they go above and beyond expectations… congratulations to the owner/managers to make this place simply Amazing…

I went in for my first facial ever and had a wonderful experience! Lizbet is very nice, gentle, and caring. She described each of the products she applied to my face and explained the reason for applying them. I made an appointment to come back in 3 weeks to see her!

Lizandra is one of the best massage therapists out there, and i’ve had over 100 massages with dozens of therapists. Lizandra really, really knows her stuff. Needed a deep tissue massage and melted like butter on the table, could feel it when she tackled some gnarly knots in my upper back, and she asks for feedback if the pressure is appropriate.ME: Please give Lizandra a huge bonus, and clients: please leave your therapist a good tip and especially when they do a really good job.

If I could give this place negative 5 stars I would. The 2 therapists i have had here have been absolutely amazing but the front staff??? Manager really needs to consider firing them. They are horrible!! Rude, incompetent, and careless. Twice I have scheduled my day around massages here and they messed up the scheduling. The first time I chalked it up to a miscommunication and went ahead and paid the fee. The second time this happened I was done. Never coming back here again!!!

I practice self-care religiously and I am always on a quest for those that are in tune with my life and ambitions. I work out with weights daily and ride my bike or run 5 days a week. I also run a business. I have lots of stressed to manage.Today, I feel great. Natalie at Massage Envy in South Miami is absolutely fantastic. She’s very skilled and professional and really listened to what was going on my body. She worked out every knot and bit of tension methodically and deliberately.She is my go to!

After a long pause due to COVID , I decided to get a 90 min massage with a masseuse I’ve never had- not uncommon at ME. The only way to describe this person was totally and completely uninterested, I truly felt I was being spoofed, especially when I realized my masseuse was wearing plastic gloves. That’s definitely the point I should have complained and left, but I didn’t- second mistake after making the actual appointment. I feel they (massage envy) have a responsibility to ask customers if they mind having a treatment with gloves.To be fair, my experiences have ranged from very good to not great, but never anything like this. To update, I have returned, and found a wonderful masseuse named Maria, and I’ve updated my review accordingly. Ironically, she also had to wear gloves at o e of the sessions due to a cut. Even so, it was nothing like my original gloved experience.

My husband and I had just had a baby and wanted somewhere to relax. Boy, we were in for a surprise. First and foremost, the young lady at the front desk was ruined and stressed me out. I feel this was like a drive-thru massage place. Everything seems fast pace. They had poor customer service skills, were not professional, and my experience was very stressful. We went to find peace, and we left aggravated. I had paid for both of our sessions by phone ahead of time when we made the appointment, and as we arrived, my husband left his ID, and they would not allow him to get his massage. As no one explained via phone he need it he had left his wallet at home.They would not return the money or allow us to get the massage. The manager on that weekend was useless and not professional.It worth paying little more somewhere else and not be more stress out.if were you, I would not go:)

My first massage with Massage Envy but not my first massage and it was great! My therapist Synai knew what she was doing and gave me the correct pressure that I had asked her for. I like a deep firm massage and she provided just what I asked for. I would recommend Massage Envy.

It was liking coming home and it was so wonderful being with Sandy again and experiencing her magical hands on my face again. Along with so many other things I missed as a result of the pandemic being with Sandy was definitely one of them. I highly recommend Diego for massage. I hold stress in my body and he has the perfect mix of technique, talent, and pressure that releases all tension from my body. He has given me some of the best massages on my shoulders, back, neck, calves hamstrings and quads...he has become an integral part of my self care routine! Erick (with a K) is an amazing massage therapist!!!I go in feeling old and full of knotted muscles ... and come out feeling un-knotted. He seems to know just where to concentrate effort. Last night I experienced a great message from Synai.I requested a deep tissue type of pressure and she obliged . Her pressure and massage techniques were excellent.I can’t stand it when masseuses go too slow and spend too much time “ dilly dallying ” on the parts of your body that you really don’t need massaged for more than three or five minutes max, like your neck or upper shoulders area.I could feel her working on removing knots from my back, just under my shoulder blades, and following them through all the way down my spine.This was much appreciated and felt really good.She worked continuously throughout the entire session leaving me feeling fantastic!I will definitely request her again.Thank you Synai☺️

She has a deep knowledge of her work and she does it with love and dedication, thanks to her I have been able to recover the movement ( a lot) of my right arm that was paralyzed for two years due to an accident at work, which therapy (workers comp) never could fix it! Business aesthics? Pleasant. Massage therapists? Wonderful. Actual business operations?? Questionable to absolutely frustrating. I canceled my membership after a year because I moved however since cancelling I have been charged twice. The first time I can forgive because sometimes things fall through the cracks, but after I called to confirm that I had cancelled within the appropriate time frame, that they would refund me the charge (which they did), and that my cancellation was officially on file, I shouldnt have been charged again. I dont think I should have to check my account with paranoia every month from now on to see if they will, once again, accidentally charge me.....

Rauls massage routine and technique were excellent. Hes very knowledgeable about the anatomy and how it works, I cant overemphasize his enthusiasm to help you feel better, overall a great experience.

I was disappointed when they called me the day prior (which was very nice of them) to tell me Raul had a family emergency & I would be seeing Jordan. I was totally prepared to be critical. OMG all I can say is wow. Jordan was fantastic. I kept asking him if hed worked in the medical field because he was so thorough. Im happy I have the choice between 2 great therapists now!!! 😀

Of the different Massage Envy locations I frequent, this one does the best job of being consistent with Covid precautions. On top of that, I’m happy to drive further and wait for an opening to see Jordan, my go-to therapist. He really listens to what you want to focus on and with how much pressure, and he provides an amazing massage, time and time again.

I made an appointment a month ago. I drove 45 minutes for a 90 minute facial and 50 minute massage. Upon arrival They claim they’ve been trying to reach me for days to cancel. I have no voicemails, no emails and no text messages from them . They canceled the appointment without even trying to accommodate or bring in another provider. I also received a reminder text message this morning.

After being a member for many, many years, I decided to cancel my membership. I was tired of therapists leaving and having to find a new good one. I filled out all the proper paperwork, sent it to the manager, and was promised to have the account cancelled. However I kept getting billed. I called and emailed numerous times, and was once again promised it would stop. I had to alert my credit card company to the erroneous charges. Then a couple months went by without being charged, but then all of a sudden I was being charged again. The manager was really nice when she would email me, but blamed the problem on a computer glitch. After all that, they send me a Thanks for stopping in. Tell us how were doing! message today (I havent been in since February 2019)! Really?? Theyre completely clueless!!

My husband and I have been members for years. South Miami is the location where we joined. Im sad to say the quality of service at this location has become deplorable. For a business whose entire model is based on booking appointments, youd think they would know how to manage that tasks. They called me about an hour before my scheduled 90 minute appointment to accommodate me with an hour session because they had a scheduling error. Seriously??? Interestingly, the day I booked I got a call back as soon as I hung up because there was a glitch and the requested appointment wasnt available. Sadly, this isnt the only example of deplorable customer service at this location. It will be my last though. I refuse to pay a business that fails to value my time.

Ive been a member for years and always schedule with Raul because he is the best. On March 18th I had a massage and a facial with Connie. Connie was amazing. During my massage with Raul I noticed the lavender oil I requested was NOT lavender. Raul pointed out it had a citrus scent. When I checked out I took the bottle to show them it was wrong. Thiago (I think his name is) insisted it was lavender. He even proceeded to argue with me. Obviously this boy does not understand the concept that the customer is always right. Then to add insult to injury when I looked at the envelopes the young lady gave me to put my tips inside, there was no envelope for Connie. She gave me an envelope with a different name. Thankfully I was paying attention. I saw a few posts about the horrible customer service at the front desk. Management better do something about that, specially since they are raising their rates.Martha

Natalie has given me a new life!! I’ve had a piriformis injury for 10 years and have seen about 5 masseuse and one physical therapist to treat it. NO ONE HAS DONE WHAT NATALIE DID FOR ME! I’m just one session she has reverse years of pain. I cried, hugged her and gave her a $40 tip. For the first time in 10 years I am pain free and can envision a pain free life. I’m so grateful to Natalie.

The massage was fine but the therapist isnt friendly as normally therapists are there. Additionally, the person at the front desk was very cold, almost giving me an attitude. This was my worst experience at this location and I have been there many times.

Massage therapist was on automatic pilot, didn’t personalize the massage whatsoever, massage started 5 min late, and ended 5 min before the end of the duration I paid for.

Ericks deep tissue massages have to be my favorite thing to look forward to every month especially with the enhanced muscle therapy. I cant express this enough, the enhanced muscle therapy has helped me so so much with random back pains Ive been having. The front desk associates are also super helpful and quick into resolving any little issue that happens, ive never had a problem here.

They are great, front desk is always warm and friendly. The service staff great at the services, my only negative is that the upselling is counterproductive. I just had a facial or a massage to relax, I do not need to spend 15 minutes saying no over a $92 serum. If not for that, 5 stars

Got a gift certificate to go here; I dont think Ill go again. The only star I give to this place is for the therapist; she was great! Costumer service does not exist; girl in the front needs tons of training; she made my experience unpleasant from the moment I walked in. With appointment I had to wait 20 minutes for my massage.
