Excellent place for Bachelorette parties, girls nights out and womens birthday parties! Love to complement women on their shoes, agree their boyfriends, bosses and fathers are jerks, and tell them that their hair and outfit are cute /hot/everything /fire /whichever word fits today.Would be a great place for a gay mens bar if the lease comes up. But until then, yes girl, so glad youre here of course your headbands and sashes look great, welcome home!

Didnt get the chance to see if they even had food.I just moved out here from Chicago and close to many, and all bars have at least some finger food.Great atmosphere 👌 ✨️Not sure how they do it but theres no wheelchair access to get inside that Ive noticed. :[

Super fun bar. The bartenders are always friendly and nice and I usually don’t have to wait super long even when it’s busy. The DJ usually plays good music but it is VERY loud. I usually wear earplugs when I go here. The vibes are usually pretty good tho and I usually have fun whenever I come here. It’s a fun place to spend a night on a Friday or Saturday night.

The owner came downstairs, whispered to the bartender and walked away. The bartender came over and was super nice about it and whispered, she asked me to ask you to leave. I was cool about it and said, its not an issue. Please close me out and I appreciate you keeping it quiet. Just because you have an issue with one of your oldest friends, who happens to be a good friend of mine, does not mean I need to be kicked out of your establishment. I sat quietly, did not tarnish your name, as you are to our friend, and I spent my money. Bless your heart darlin. Now I won’t stay quiet.

Went to D.I.X. For the first time the other weekend when visiting from Chicago. It’s such a fun atmosphere especially to grab a few drinks with friends on a Saturday afternoon. The bartenders are nice, the drinks are solid, and the touch tunes honestly allows you to make it your own personal dance party. Big compliments to the owner for the clear love they put into this space.

Stopped in on our self-guided pub crawl. It was late afternoon and not busy yet, but our bartender Jake was awesome!!!! Made us feel right at home. Stop and see him!!!!

Holy hell that was a fun night! Bar moved fast, I barely had to wait for a drink. The outside patio is next to a beach volleyball court! Drag shows! Wow, best way to spend a Friday night

Matt is the best bartender! Always a good time whether you go during the week or weekend. It is a LGBTQ+ bar, so you wont find any other bar that is more welcoming! Good prices and music

Was harassed here by a guy and management ended up giving him free drinks for the rest of the evening. Management has said in front of customers “we don’t normally hire women”, which is discrimination against a protected class. Lastly, the owners have made racist comments at the bar and on national television. Give your money to someone who is an actual ally to everyone in the community.

Always a good place to go. Especially when Dj Femme Noir is there. She play’s awesome and good music to keep you on the dance floor. Drinks are reasonable too.

Gay bar with fun drag shows on the weekends.with no cover. Great music. Cheap drinks and a photo booth that posts directly to Facebook so you dont have to remember to take photos throughout the night. Highly recommend Saturdays here.

Awesome place! The show was fresh, the music was a great mix of old and new, and the staff were engaging and super friendly! Also, you can watch live volleyball tournaments from the patio.🤗

Had a fun time and enjoyed dancing! I somehow managed to get an old creepy guy to not leave me alone but the bartender checked in on me and that was nice. Will definitely go back there

Went there this past Saturday night with a group of about 10 of us. I being one of the drivers, was ultimately sober so my recollection of the night isnt skewed by alcohol. There was about 7 other people in the bar with us and we were at one end, laughing and talking when suddenly the owner (Liz I think) told us we should just leave. I tried to approach her and ask her why and what we did wrong and she just looked at me and walked away. I turned to the bartender and asked what we did and he said nothing in his opinion and that he thought we were fine. The owner tried yelling across the bar again to leave.Therefore I would NEVER EVER recommend this bar to anyone. The way the owner treated us was not only very disrespectful but very unbusiness like. We were there doing nothing wrong and got kicked out without reason.Guess we are lucky we did seeing there was 2 people shot right there right after we left.

Friend suffered a brain injury here from a falling sign and could not get a manager or staff to speak to them for 2 hours because the drag show cost a lot of money and they didnt want to interrupt it. Management ended up saying they would pay their medical bills but has still refused to get back to them 2 months later. They are now responsible for CAT scan and hospital visit bills on their own. If you want to go just to spend your money and not be cared about as a human being, Id recommend.

Went there with wife and friends on St. Patricks Day. I dropped the wife off at the door and went to park. Walked in and still waited almost 10 minutes for a drink. One bartender was on the other side of the bar when I walked in and told him I was surprised my wife hasnt gotten served yet. Not knowing he was actually a bartender. He walked past me behind the bar and talked to other people. The bartender came back then waited on 3 of his friends that just walked in after me. Then he waited on us, we bought a shirt, 2 shots, 2 drinks and paid in cash. He set my money down at the bar in front of me and within a couple of minutes it was gone assuming his poor service was a tip. Then I asked him what happened to my money and he told me he took it because it was a tip. I told him I never touched that money or made a motion to give it to him and he kicked me out. Completely 100% disrespectful given the fact that was the first bar we went to. My wife runs her companies LBGTA group and we are very active allies. But that bar manager was that most disrespectful bartender i have ever met. And he tried taking my beer away from me because I was complaining about his service. Horrid horrid horrid experience.

On Friday 2/21/2020, my party of about 20 people and I went to this establishment to celebrate a birthday. Before this night, my girlfriend and I have been to DIX numerous times, and it had been our favorite LGBTQ+ bar/club to go to when we wanted to go out. We felt safe and accepted. We never had any issues in the past. A lot of the people in our party had never been to DIX, and we were excited to show them how fun it was. On this Friday night, my party and I arrived approximately around 10pm-10:30pm. Because it was still early and it was a Friday night, it wasn’t as busy as compared to a Saturday night. We decided to locate to the back dance room and stay there, where we were constantly at the bar buying drinks. The first drink my girlfriend asked to buy was beer, and the bartender stated he didn’t have any at his bar. So fine, she decided to buy shots. My girlfriend and her sister bought so many drinks that night, and everytime we bought drinks, we tipped the bartender. Granted I’m sure there could have been 1-2 times he didn’t receive a tip, probably because he was rude and unfriendly to begin with. When my cousin went to buy a drink, he stated that the bartender was rude and inattentive. 3 people from my party offered to buy the bartender a shot and he refused all 3 times, but they witnessed him taking shots from other people, which was fine also, because we aren’t going to force someone to drink if they don’t want to, it’s just odd for him to refuse ours but accept others. On another occasion I also witnessed him giving away a free drink. And like I said, I can care less what he does, but all I ask is to just be treated the same way as other paying customers. Altogether, my party spent well over $300. The last time my girlfriend and her sister went to bar and ordered a drink, the bartender told them that he was “done serving us for the night because we were not tipping him and if we wanted drinks we would have to go to the other bar.” He had the audacity to say this to us, when we tipped him every time we ordered a drink, even when he didn’t deserve a damn tip. My girlfriend tipped him $10 on one order, and my sister tipped him $2 everytime she ordered a drink. I was appalled and livid. What ensued after that was an argument between us, him, the bouncer and whoever else. The bouncer told us to leave the first time, but she let us slide and let us stay because she knew we were right. She saw us there the whole time and saw how many times we went and ordered drinks. We practically were posted at the bar. The second time the bartender kept talking and looking at me, I didn’t hold my tongue, so the bouncer then came and told us to leave again. I was livid and I demanded to talk to the owner. I demanded them to pull up all the receipts of what we spent and how many tips the bartender made off of us that night, and this wasn’t even including the people that had spent cash at the bar! Too bad cash has no paper trail so we can’t see how much tips he made in cash compared to card transactions right? Since the bartender claimed that we didn’t tip him, I demanded all our tip money that we DID give him back! The bouncer told me if I wanted to talk to the owner I would have to come back at 4 the next day. She had no regard for my concerns, and even shoved my sister. Eventually a man named Tyler came and said he was a manager and talked to us. He was the only person who was willing to talk nicely to us and listen to us. He told us he apologized for what happened and that we shouldn’t have been treated that way. We left after that and took our business to La Cage/LVLs. When we left it was about 1:30am. My party and I were there for about 3 hours and spent so much money just to be treated with disrespect and discrimination and accusations. I was upset, angry, and hurt. My girlfriend and I loved DIX, but now we will not be returning and neither will our ppl. Being LGBTQ+, we would love to support our own kind, but sadly we can’t even do that. I would rather take my business to La Cage/LVLs from now on, or go somewhere downtown.

Very fun bar and cool decor. Friendly staff (hi Bill!) And reasonably priced drinks. Highly recommend if you want a fun atmosphere but maybe you dont want a dance club.

Love this place! Always great bartenders on staff, and plenty of specials and events. The drinks are expensive, as they are at every downtown bar, but there are enough weekly or daily specials to take advantage of that I never feel like Im spending more than I should be.

Great atmosphere and reasonable prices. My group of friends love to start the night here since it sets the mood for the rest of the night!

Spectacular bass pounding music. Outstanding bartenders, they are attentive, knowledgeable, and great dancers. Groovy, cool vibe in the joint, super nice crowd.

The bathroom has two stalls, one was filled with random cleaning supplies. There was a guy doing drugs in the other stall, and then when I get in there it was saturated with bodily discharges. The outside patio area will full of random assorted furniture. There was no theme to the establishment, it is just a hodge-podge of random items.The place needs some TLC, to put it lightly.Not my kind of place.

Always a fun night here. Great drinks. You can either dance or grab a seat and have a conversation. The patio is really nice when the weather is nice.

Depends on the night and the amount of people that are there. Drink times are crazy so get three! It can be a great night out or you can leave pissed because no one has any type of care they almost knocked you over because umm you were in their way! Lol stupid. Most attractive staff in Milwaukee tho.

The owner of DIX banned me because of one of the bartenders Dan. Dan told the bar manager that I harassed someone on Grindr. This person was also harassing me. I was trying to enjoy my lunch one day when I received a Facebook message from Dan. He was harassing me and when I didn’t agree with what he was saying, he called the bar manager and had me banned. Disgusting behavior.

$11 tip on my card? I don’t think so. I like coming here and I tip in cash generously, but I do not like getting ripped off by anyone for any amount.

This bar had good service but my card was charged and extra 50 dollars. I even have the receipt. They will not respond to my calls and when I went in they completely ignored me and I sat there for an hour.

I used to really enjoy coming here, but after a while it started feeling very cliquey. It also feels like less and less POC are coming here and the lack of diversity makes it difficult to feel accepted.

The best bartenders work here I swear!!! Always smiling and friendly!! That Alec is the absolute best!!!! I love this place so much! Will return always!
