I came here for my 21st birthday and the bartenders made me and my friends feel SO safe and so comfortable. They were super sweet and hilarious and made amazing drinks super quickly too.

If youre looking for a place to go that is accepting and warm to people of ALL walks of life, not just LGBTQ+ but welcoming to ALL people; Splash is absolutely your place.It is first and foremost a LGBTQ+ location; but as long as you are a decent person and drama free: they will welcome you and treat you with respect!We have gone 2x.The 1st time was to see the Bungalow Bunnies burlesque troupe perform.It was such a fantastic show!They also had a food truck there that made decent food!Also, the drinks are of a decent price AND they dont skimp on the booze.The 2nd time we went, we went to have a drink while we waited for a friend.It was relaxing, not crowded, and the music was fun but not overly loud.

Post from 2024: this place is incredible. The people who work here are awesome. Ive always had the best time whenever I come here. The drinks are still just as amazing as they were over two years ago. I love their drag Brunch that they host at least once a month.Posted this over two years ago: I absolutely loved this place and definitely want to return. Didnt know it was Drag night the night we went and it was insanely amazing! The energy of this place was awesome! The drinks were so good too!

Put an upgrade to the place is very relaxing and fun. If you want to go out and have a great time or just relax must come and see

Love this place. Been coming here sense 1994. Came here for one of my best friends birthday party. Had the best time. The bartender was so nice and would go out of her way to take care of you.

Cool atmosphere and fun people! Love their drinks menu too. The crowd does skew younger but if youre a couple in your 40s and 50s no one will give you ANY weird looks or bad service. Wish I could say the same about many other bars in Modesto.

If you’re looking pretty men and strong women you’ve come to the right place! One of my favorite spots in modesto to relax out on the patio. Drag shows are amazing and so is their drag brunch. Definitely come out and enjoy the fun. Lgbt 🏳️‍🌈 location.

A fun safe place. It is being remodeled but the patio is a great space. I may be a sis guy but I love going there with my queer friends. It is always nice just to have a good time without having to worry about security.

Its a fairly slow traffic place unless theyre Saturdays and drag nights. Bartenders are polite and are willing to learn a new drink. Its nice that the space is located outside as well(especially during the summer).

This bar literally is my great escape they have amazing drinks, amazing staff, the drag shows give so much life to the soul they have gogo dancers on Saturday nights dancing is highly encouraged since its a dance bar you can come alone and leave 20 new friends its a great time every time I go!

An outdoor queer friendly low-key gay bar with fabulous staff, awesome drinks, a friendly welcoming vibe and great drag performances. I love going here and will continue to frequent! Highly recommend .

The atmosphere is pleasant, the furniture is comfortable, and the food and drink are both excellent. Just use caution ordering at the patio bar, the main bartender likes to prank the patio bartender and give them diet instead of regular for the soda fountain.

Go here if you want to get wasted. Cheap, gross, cocktails served by the pint. Cool decor.

This place has been a major part of our family for years. I met my husband here and we brought our children here as they grew up. All the children are now grown and out of the house and this is still one of their favorite places. The food is the best in the area. We are treated as family everytime we go.

We love the outdoor area. My only real issues is they play the music LIKE IT S A DANCE club and ppl are trying to eat and have convos.....if ppl werent required to order food and it truly was a dance club...maybe but it s hard to eat and talk when u can t even hear yourself speak.

I been that twice. The food is not that good. They do serve you a lot. Each order can feed 2. At least the orders I had were big enough for two. Same thing with the soup if you order a bowl you can feed 4 people, so thats good. The worst part is the customer servise. Both times I been there the waitress has been rude and in a bad mood. I really didnt apreciate the way she treats and talks to her clients, she really needs to work in her customer service skills.

This place is an old Modesto icon. Walking inside is like walking back in time. The decor, the smell, the food, everything is like its been frozen in time from thirty or forty years ago. The food is great! The sizzling rice soup is a treat! Back to the decor, the walls are covered in all manner of strange artwork and bits and other eclectic oddities, no doubt collected over the last 50 years or so. The more you look around, the more you see.

I ordered the Japanese Teriyaki Chicken and the sizzling rice soup after looking at the Google reviews. I was horrible disappointed and unable to finish the meal. The chicken breast was terribly dry and the dish was supposed to come with vegetables, however there was only broccoli. The sizzling rice soup tasted as if they simply dumped some canned peas, baby carrots, and water chestnuts in some chicken broth with a few chopped up shrimp and dry chicken pieces. If it werent for my being on my lunch break, I would have returned the meal for a refund. It was a definite waste of $18- yes, they had the nerve to charge $18 for that culinary atrocity. To add insult to injury, I was provided no eating utensils for this to go order and there were a couple of unwrapped fortune cookies thrown in a bag with various soy sauces. Thats just unsanitary. I have never written a public review of a restaurant before but my experience here was so horrible that I felt like I must. If I could give negative stars, I would. On a positive note, I did find the decor to be charming. I should have taken a selfie so that the whole experience wouldnt have been so horrible.

Great drink specials, very nice service, weekly drag shows, nice outdoor patio with a full bar and a beautiful indoor bar with a dance floor and pool table.

Whats not too love about this original tiki bar & restaurant? Paintings of beautiful Polynesian women on the walls, inexpensive drinks, and tasty Chinese food. For vegetarian dishes, I recommend the Mu Shu Vegetables, and Vegetable Chow Mein. For those burger lovers out there, Minnies has an excellent reputation for their Angus burger.

Alcohol and bar is awesome! Customer service is great as well. Food wise they have certain dishes that may be better than others...im happy there and will go back!

This place has been around forever and is fun... not like one of the new chains... good food, awesome drinks, great staff unique setting. Be open minded to something with history.

Great low key bar with a nice patio and friendly patrons. The bar tenders are always welcoming and friendly. A classic Modesto locale. An easy place to relax and unwind.

I was there in Aplril in a motorcycle ride around America. It was a great surprise to know this chain that we do not have in Brazil. The sandwiches and shakes are very good

The food is so good! But the bartender needs to get over herself. She never leaves the back of the bar so there is no service unless you go to her. Such a bummer

Minnies Restaurant is my favorite snce I was a kid at least 10years old.The service was great then and has that same atmosphere and personal service today.

There is nothing I like about this restaurant, it needs to be updated and the food is awful, the service is some of the worst service I ever had we have to actually wait for the hostess to have a table to eat, I felt like I just throw away my money today, not recomended under any circumstances.

When is this place actually open? Ive tried to go twice while visiting based on the hours listed on Google and it never seems to be open.

My husband and I have loved Minnies for 30+ years.

Disappointment, hadnt been there in 30 years. No love in their food. Ill keep my old memories and never go back.
