Ive been attending Lindy Hop classes at Midtown Swings, and I couldnt be happier with my experience! The instructors, Gaby Cook and AJ Howard, are fantastic. They bring so much energy, humor, and fun to each class, making learning a joy. Their passion for Lindy Hop is infectious, and they genuinely care about the success of every student. Whether youre a beginner or looking to refine your skills, Gaby and AJ are there to support and encourage you every step of the way. Midtown Swings has created a welcoming and vibrant community that I’m thrilled to be a part of. Highly recommend!

Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week. Its the day I go swing dancing, the day I get to learn from world class dancers (Gaby Cook + AJ Howard) how to Lindy Hop at Midtown Swings. They create *such* a fun and supportive atmosphere where you can learn and grow with other dancers. You always leave their classes feeling like a better dancer and also wanting more. Thats how infectious their teaching is.The best part of class is what happens afterwards: the social. Its where youll get to dance with people of all ages and abilities -- whatever your level is, there will likely be someone there for you. I started dancing in January and just by coming every week have gotten so much better and made a ton of friends along the way.So, come and join us! You wont regret it :)(Also they have Thursday classes too that are very fun and also if you prefer West Coast swing they have a room for that during the social dance.)

Wonderful community of Lindy Hop dancers! Gabby and AJ are kind, excellent teachers and you will have a ton of fun learning Lindy Hop and meeting cool people -- in class and at the weekly Wednesday social!

I’ve come to Midtown Swings a handful of times it’s been a great time.Classes are well instructed and the socials are a blast. I always some good dances at Midtown.

Midtown Swings has two large rooms for dancing. One is for Lindy Hop and the other is for West Coast Swing. People go from one to the other, and are welcome in either room, even if they might not be familiar with one style or the other. It’s really great to see both communities interacting, sharing and welcoming each other. That makes it one of my very, very favorite dances of all time. It currently happens of the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. I wish it were every Wednesday. I could even see myself easily going twice a week.Edit: As of June, 2024, the West Coast Swing is moving to Tuesdays.

Midtown Swings has absolutely excellent classes of mentorship on Lindy Hop dancing from two dedicated and supportive teachers!!! Following those classes comes great social dancing which gives everyone time to play around with the concepts that they had learned in class as well as meet new people. After consistently going to the classes and social dance you create a network of friends that makes you want to come back every week for new fun and challenging experiences!!! 👏🏾👏🏾🤩🤩😃😃

AJ, Gabby, and everyone theyve brought out to help are such fun! New students are welcomed and brought up to speed no matter which day they first come out, and theres always something new and creative for returning students to enjoy. Excellent Lindy Hop experience overall.

A great Lindy Hop dance in NYC! The space is awesome. They have a wonderful floor and plenty of room. The community is very welcoming; there’s always a friendly face. Whenever I go, I always have a fantastic time!
