I enjoyed my time at little sister! I think you need to dress the part if you want in. Coming early helps too. Most people were wearing classy clothes and a lot of black dresses and cool girl outfits! The crowd was actually diverse as well. Bartenders and bouncer were really nice. I think they want to maintain a sleek, classy environment. There were way more women than men in there as well so if you’re a fellow woman I think if you just dress classy and have confidence, and come early, you’ll be good!
Headline: (Un)Fortunately a fun club, small but good music, fine vibes; there are better clubs in NYC for sure no matter what facet you want to compare toDetails: Of course we’ve heard about this place as one of THE nightclubs in NYC, so we had to go. We had already done The Box and gotten in (somehow), so we weren’t strangers to the fickle bouncer scene but we were still worried. We showed up around 11:15pm, the line was kind of long but we waited in it and it moved, about 11:45pm we got to the front. The bouncer man that everyone talks about was there, he looked at us eventually and said we would have a $200 minimum at the bar. We (Asian male, white hot female) agreed and we went in; they took my ID and credit card and charged it immediately. Props to the bartenders for keeping track, honestly; they made it a point to communicate to me where we were in regards to the minimum, and about 4 drinks each (8 total) we were close enough to the minimum to feel like we got the deal of it. The bartenders are lovely! To be fair, a lower cover at another bar but plus the cost of drinks would be roughly the same cost. Not sure on how the bouncer came to minimum for us — not sure if it was standard, the couple in front of us somehow settled with a $1000/$2000+ table? My girl friend dressed up in a balanced classy/showy black top and skirt, and I went in a nice going out collared shirt, pants, and good boots. We’re very used to “going out” attire and we stuck to that — people inside are wearing anything from suits and jackets to t-shirts and baggy jeans; again, likely many reasons for all of those. Probably dress to impress if you’re waiting in line like we were.Re: the racism, we did see a South Asian couple(man and woman) get turned away. Not sure why. We did see a fair amount of POC inside the club, so really can’t speak to the process and procedures of the bouncer. There is probably some rhyme or reason, but it wasn’t clear to us what it was (probably as arbitrary as every other “exclusive” NYC club).Inside, it’s small, the drinks are strong enough, $22 for a mid-tier shot of tequila is fair enough in this city. The music was surprisingly good — mostly 90s/00s hip hop and pop, with some infusions of more contemporary music as the night went on. I can see why people enjoy the music here. It gets pretty crowded inside after a while, but we didn’t ever feel suffocated — probably more space per person than the average nightclub. We never felt cramped or that we were fighting to keep our space. The bouncer did tell us that it’s good we got there early, because “by 12:30, it’s really happening”.Will we go back? Definitely not needed, there are better clubs out there — we had a better time at Loosie’s, The Stranger, and even The Box offered something more memorable (but The Box has much worse dancing scene, if any). Come on by to see it, but I think there isn’t a need to be a regular.
Don’t waste your time and come here!! I called before 11pm and asked to make a reservation. The person over the phone told me they had 12:30 available and agreed on the time. My two friends and I showed up and the entrance was extremely unorganized. I made my way to the front where they had blocked off and tried to get the attention of security. I got the attention of one security guy and told him I had a reservation. He said that the other guy took care of that and gestured to a middle aged white man in striped pants and a blazer (same guy as other people have posted in other reviews). I tried to get this guy’s attention for about 20 minutes and finally called out to him that I had a reservation. He came over to me and asked my name and what time and I told him. He went to check with some guy on a tablet, and then kept walking around observing the crowd. He never came back to me, so I got the attention of another security man and asked him if they had an answer if they were taking reservations or not. This guy made up some BS about there not being reservations and kept making excuses. My friends and I ended up going to an Afro-beats club across the street, after waiting in the mess of “Little Sister” for 40 min, that was super fun! The old “manager” guy was super pretentious and discriminatory, so I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else to spend your night.
Sometimes you should believe the reviews. if you come shortly after opening, you can get in but wait in a long line even though its empty. then it fills up quickly and its far too crowded. you can hardly move or dance. 90% of the people are 21 year old girls. we left after an hour because it was far too crowded and we were afraid we wouldnt be able to get out. a small room where you want to get as much money out of it as possible... overcrowded and overpriced for what you get..
If I could give zero stars, I would. My group and I decided to check out Little Sister, and the experience was a complete disaster. From the moment we arrived, the entrance was a chaotic mess with no clear line system. When we asked the manager or promoter about the minimum spend for a table, he responded dismissively and rudely, only to let others in based on who they knew or how they looked. It felt like blatant discrimination. The manager didn’t provide any clear information and walked away without addressing our questions. We then witnessed him selectively allowing people in while others, including us, continued to wait. As we decided to leave, we overheard a bouncer saying, If youre not spending 10k, then walk away because you aren’t getting in.Our experience was marred by poor organization, unprofessional behavior, and what seemed to be discriminatory practices. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place
Was first in line with a couple of women in our party (non white) were told after half an hour of waiting that “we’re only doing people on the list sorry” and got kicked out. Then noticed a number of white couples be allowed in after us without being asked about any list or anything .Many other people seem to share a similar experience. Why bother going to this racist club?An eye opener, surely understand the 1.8 stars now.
This place is racist and gross. There’ is one man who decides who is hot enough to get in the club and it’s clear that it’s based on race and who is hot enough to Come in.don’t waste your time or money supporting this business. Only young girls will subject themselves to such stupidity and stand in line to try to get in.
If I had an option of giving 0 stars, I definitely would. This place is such a joke. My friends and I decided to go to Little Sister last night and upon arrival it was chaotic. There was not one line or two lines, instead people were crowding around the entrance. We asked the manager or promoter whatever he is whats the minimum spend for a table and he looked at my husband and said no shorts after letting two white males go in right in front of us with shorts on. He also did not give us an amount and walked away. He was super rude and arrogant and clearly racist. After waiting about ten more minutes, we noticed he was literally picking certain people to go in while everyone else waited. As we were walking away, we heard the bouncer say “ If you not spending 10k then walk away because you arent getting in” This place is a mess, filled with racist workers and no order anywhere. Please dont even waste your time with this joke of an establishment.
I was told I had to start a minimum $200 bar tab to come in. Was by myself. I am a professional model and have never been turned away from anywhere. Never was told something so ridiculous
Racism is beyond!!! We’re Asians 4 girls were standing on the line for 30 good minutes and the security didn’t let us in just because we’re Asians. I have video evidence. Worst place ever. Black and white guy with a mustache just hope you guys will get what you deserve. In front of all the people ignored us. NEVER RECOMMEND!!!!
This place is not worth the hype. They will make you wait outside for a long time before they let you in and once you get in, you realize that it has absolutely nothing to offer except the same drink and music that you would get anywhere else except without the racism they clearly choose people based on race .can’t believe a place like this exists in 2024
Great spot with amazing vibes. Recommend dressing on trend and getting there early (11pm) if you want to get in without a table reservation. Also, ensure you’re polite to the doormen even if they ask you to wait.
I don’t like to pull the race card but after looking at these comments; I concur. After nearly an hour wait (at the very front of the line) I had asked a few of the bouncers if there was a dress code and or cover and no was said to both. When they finally decided to open the doors, a tiny lil man came to my and I and told us that we would have to pay $300 in order to get to the bar (no drinks included). I thought NYC was different but I guess not. 10/10 would NOT recommend Little Sister service is not their priority.
The guy in the suit literally ignored us for 45 min and kept shaking hands and allowing other people that was just arriving or girls that were good looking and what got me is the comments that he would make about people! Very rude little guy with no people skills we were visiting from mexico! We end up going to TAO and they were amazin there!Do not go to this place if you are from out of town obviously they only let locals or people that they know in.
“exclusive club” = arrogant owner and bouncer that don’t even look at you at the door when your talking to them. the guys in the front just laughed and turned around when we asked if we could go in. disrespectful, spend your money somewhere else.
They are discriminatory, predatory, racist and misogynistic. The atmosphere inside isn’t worth the fluff and the door is comedic. Avoid this place at all cost despite any fabricated hype you’ve seen otherwise. The other reviews on here clearly demonstrate that this is chosen behavior which likely will not be addressed. The above in office Confederate flag is hanging. Clearly everyone can see.
One of the worst experience in NYC nightlife. Waited in line for an hour, the Doorman wouldnt Acknowledge us. He only allowed his buddy get in, or people who tips him batter. Most of time the people who he lets in, they leave in 15 minutes. ITS A SHAME people who travel from other states doesnt get to experiences NYC NIGHTLIFE.
Place is super overhyped. Super old school mentality at the door, if you’re not white skinny or younger than like 25 as a female you’re not getting in unless you give the short dude on a power trip some money. As if they’re passing out 24k gold bars for free like relax you watch A door for a livelihood it’s not that serious. He won’t acknowledge your presence if he doesn’t “feel” like it. Doesn’t give any reason for denying ppl in. The least you can do is face the person you’re denying like a real man since he thinks he’s so big and bad and he’s like so tiny. Very irritating atmosphere. Packed club like a subway and way to many handsy guys be aware girls. Go somewhere els, literally anywhere else, not worth the hype.
Super easy to get in, just have a promoter, buut the men there are actual creatures (short, ugly, and smelly) like how r u gonna be exclusive for girls and let the bummiest guys in?? it’s super crowded, kind of a zoo, everyone’s rude AND some ugly white guy accused my friend of stealing his sunglasses (racist! they fell on the ground and she was just standing there)he said “you have no idea who you’re dealing with” (lol) then got security to make us leave the dj booth even though we literally didn’t do anything! we got another drink but left right after bc it ruined the mood
One of the worst club me and my friends ever been. We where treated like a trusted like trashes and we sound from one of bar tender ‚ you are just the customers’ after one of us were almost hired in the head by the club stuff who was bringing the bears to other people.. low customer services
Dont come here and waste your time unless you know the promoter they are just very selective about what type of people are allowed the middle-aged white guy with a mustache is the promoter he denied entry at the door he didnt look at us twice as we waited for 30 minutes on the line a few groups of hot European girls and straight guys were skipping the line and getting the VIP treatment the bouncer was laughing at us since we didnt get in we walked away we were so embarrassed...
I ABSOLUTELY love reading the comments under this bar, i did that multiple times already. The amount of absolute full entitlement and the belief that one is inherently deserving of the privilege to enter a private own bar, to drink😂🤦🏽♀️ is astonishing to me. There are literally 13K bars in manhattan.i’m planning to grab popcorn🍿 and blend with the crowd at the door to feel this 🥇world phenomenon.P.S. I feel bad, REALLY BAD every time i see some good ppl get turn back at the door. it will probably happened to me too if i was not too busy working and having a life.
If I could give zero stars I would. Someone comes outside and chooses people from the crowd to get in , if you think you look good think twice you don’t lol they literally would only let in people sneaking money In their hands or a promoter . Anywho don’t go here
While waiting 20-25 minutes in line. Another member informed me that unless you look the part or pay the bouncer money, you’re not getting in. The bouncer didn’t even acknowledge me or my friend’s presence. While trying to get another of the securities presence to ask a question, the bouncer said “ignore them.” At that time I decided to leave. My rating to them is ZERO stars, terrible customer service, low chance of getting in and long wait times.
This place sucks. I’ve been going out spending money at NYC clubs for years and this place is a disgrace of one. I would never waste money at this joke of a “club” or advise any of my female friends to visit. Service inside sucks, atmosphere is off, people inside are not a vibe, not to mention the man Waz who works the door is a dork.Go somewhere else!
If I could rate less than one star I would… the music is less than subpar. The tables are full of broke 20-year-olds who don’t know how to act. Little sisters could be something if they had an actual DJ playing house music and patrons with real money to spend.
I can confirm that the bouncers play favorites. You’re just playing your luck here and it depends on whether or not the bouncers think you fit their version of hot. We saw so many guys go in and girls wait for an hour or more. Make sure you have enough “work” to go in. Sincerely - the sister of a cosmetic surgeon
Bouncers are on a power trip, seems like you need to be friends with the big Weeknd looking guy with the man bun to get in. No respect for peoples time, they will not even acknowledge you. Like chill youre a bouncer not the owner of the place
Saw a video of the bouncer who seems like a prick and doesn’t let anyone in. Fire that dude instantly. He is ruining your business and reputation.
Had homophobic experience with one of the workers. Never coming back, awful
The loser in suit at the door will ask you 300 usd spending to get in minimum if you just show up with your Gf 🤣
Like many are saying dont go here unless you know someone or if you pay off the guards, they only allow who they want and thats mostly girls or guys who slip them a $100 bill, reservations are a rip who would pay 5k for reservation on a Wednesday night went to nebula instead and got in for $40 with a packed place and music save yourself the trouble and dont waste youre time like I did. The main guard is stuck up oh and like someone said before the cop stache isnt it 😂
Go TO THE BOX!!! Little sister isn’t the spot you want to go very disrespectful, i got in knowing a promoter but saw how the bouncer mistreated people and i wasn’t ok with that.
I had a great time there, but felt something was off. I felt a lot of people I stood in line with didnt get in for frivolous reasons and then a few people inside got ignored pretty blatantly. Not to mention the crowd inside was white as eff, didnt feel like this is a club in NYC. I didnt think of it at all at the moment.Today a friend asked for recommendations and I was about to suggest, was copying the address off Google map when I saw the poor ratings and read through the reviews. Now it all makes sense. Sincere apologies to the NYC community for enabling their racism by being a patron. I do not think anyone with a good conscience, who is aware of these repeated offense by the cub management should give this club their money. They will be encouraging racist behavior.
My recent encounter with the bouncer left me deeply disappointed and angered. It was clear that we were mistreated simply because of our race, which is absolutely unacceptable. Discrimination has no place in our society, and its disheartening to experience it firsthand. I hope the establishment takes immediate action to address this issue and ensure that all patrons are treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of their race or ethnicity
They let way too many people in, place is packed, no room to dance, hard to breathe. Club staff drinks and is rude pushing guests around. Paying 2k per person for the place lacking comfort
If i could give zero stars i would 🫶🏻poor security, small space , & not a well lead operation. wouldn’t recommend
The service was horrible , the bouncers laughed as we had to leave because of a customer accidentally bumping into them because they were dancing . Horrible club over all.
Waiting in line for over an hour, and was told by a bouncer that they wouldn’t let me in because of my black hair and glasses. This place is racist, and they only Let white skinny people “who know the bouncers” in, only the privileged are allowed in. I felt discriminated and disrespected, I understand that it’s a high end place but the fact that I was willing to spend money and just having a good time like an ordinary human and was told that I was not able to get in because I was a “minority” is disgusting. This place has no shame and unfortunately continue to make money discriminating.. one bouncer was kind enough to let me know the truth about this please and he literally told me they’re just not gonna let you in.. I was in line while other white girls cut in line and told me “do you know the bouncer?” I continue to stand my ground and told them no I did not but I was waiting in line patiently and they had no right to cut me. When they were allowed in right in front of me after cutting the line, she literally told me have a “great nigh babe” (sarcastically) the privilege know they’re allowed in here and the privilege continue to thrive in this place.. shame to the owner of this place, running a garbage establishment, and seeing no problems with this place, there’s a special place in hell for you. I’m glad I didn’t spend money to racist and privilege people. My money can go to better places and it shall.
My experience with the bouncer was extremely disappointing and distressing. My friends and I were mistreated solely because of our ethnicity. Its deeply troubling that in this day and age, such discrimination still exists. We were made to feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, which is unacceptable. I strongly urge the management to address this issue and ensure that everyone is treated with respect and fairness.
It’s a shame, I’ve experienced being neglected plenty of times. I thought it was just service that day. After reading other reviews my heart saddens. Because I did notice a lack of attentiveness to my group ( I’m a man of color ) and other counterparts being treated. Don’t go here if you are a person of color. Stay far away. I’m ashamed because it’s a gorgeous location. But the staff, the environment sucks. Spend your money elsewhere.
All the reviews about discrimination is true. Was there with my friend who is also ethnic which didn’t meet the requirements of the bar. Why? Because we weren’t white, did have clothes, and we didn’t look like models. But all the reviews are true about that man ☠️ don’t waste your time to come here. Go to another cute nyc bar bc this ain’t it. And it’s not even a rooftop or anything special.
They are not racist just because you are colored and dont get in doesnt mean they are racist. If you look good and dress good you can get in. Obviously knowing a promoter or someone helps but doesnt always work
After reading some of the bad reviews I thought that most of the 1 star ratings were because of the club’s face control, actually this is the only thing what makes them “exclusive”. Security guys were nice and the bartenders did a very good job. As a club it’s a very low quality time spending with outdated songs and a lame atmosphere and a very strong desire to look posh. I mean when I heard the DJs playlist from the early 2000s I made a joke that probably we’ll hear “50 cents - In da club” this evening and guess what after an hour to my surprise I was absolutely right. Saying that we stayed a couple hours only because this club was so referenced just to wait for the real party to start ( they even played the 2009 Jay-Z-Empire State of Mind song which is the king of cliches) . If this is the best club in NYC and it represents the nightlife scene well then LA and Vegas clubs are heaven, even Chicago night scene is more entertaining than this. I hope I’m wrong but everyone puts this club on top of the list in NYC, 😄 the only thing that was on top was the face control guy’s hat (which looks like he really thought is a high end fashion element).
The doorman was incredible and had excellent service! Myself (black woman) and my friend (black guy) were treated very good during our time at the night club.
This place is horrible to anyone who isn’t white. I was turned away by the bouncer after two of my white friends entered. The where super aggressive towards me. I was happy to leave as my hard earned money won’t go towards this place. Is disgusting that they think the can get away this. I’m going to be actively making my business to shut them down!
This place SUX they scam you at the door and the people inside r sooooo cringe literally never go here
I would leave this club a negative review if it was possible. I went to this place on the bachelorette night out, and the bouncers literally didn’t even look at us, and just blatantly ignored us. And yes, we are a group of 6 Minorities. Worst place ever what a sad way to remember New York City clubs.
This club does NOT belong in NYC. This awful, exclusionary establishment has absolutely NO place in the nightlife of NYC. for anyone who was ignored, felt overlooked or invisible while waiting in the life, this review is for you. This power-hungry bouncer only soaks up his power off the energy of vulnerabilities of women who may not meet the conventional western “beauty standard” but who just want to have a good time - Those women who traveled far and wide to have a good night in the big city and were left dejected and humiliated after a sub 5’8” man in an outdated suit and gloves gave them the ole’ “up-down” and looked through them as if they were invisible. This establishment is absolutely awful and doesn’t belong in this city that finds a place for everyone.Go to joyface or wiggle room for fair, inclusive service.
How this place is still in operation is quite frankly mind boggling and offensive. Everything that is wrong with nightlife is represented from this establishment. Therefore why fund their bigotry? The old man at the door with the tacky suits is laughable as he flexes his superiority complex for us all to see. There are far better places in this great city without the façade of this joke of an establishment.
You couldn’t pay ME to go to this musty basement with a bunch of smelly losers … someone needs to tell the transplants that fake exclusivity is embarrassing
Racist. In NEW YORK of all places... its a high end bar yeah, exclusively for rich white people which isnt speculation, the bouncer literally said it himself. But because its New York and for rich white people, nothing will come of it. Disgusting. Dont waste your time!!
DO NOT, and I repeat!!!!! DO NOT go to this place. As you’ve probably seen from previous reviews, they are absolutely racist. They asked for a $400 dollar cover for 4 people to “sit at the bar”. Incredibly racist (as other reviewers have said). Please. Do not support an establishment like this. There are so many night clubs in NYC. You can find better and not have to deal with this absolute BS. Come here if you want content for your youtube channel or something. Incredibly rude. Whites only. Thought segregation ended but guess not.
Never have I ever seen a bar run with more delinquency in my life, and have been more insulted by a club in my life. The door guys are obnoxiously rude, unbelievably discriminatory, and fail to operate the club entrance with any organization at all. It is a free for all, roped off by movable crowd separators, and screaming bouncers, that surely should be a turn off for anyone who does attempt to enter the lounge.Any modern club must understand the importance of crowd control, and reputation control, especially as a subsidiary of an esteemed hotel brand owned by the Marriott. This club misses the mark in almost every regard. The clubs lack of organization results in an overall loss of revenue. The fact, the door team is unable to admit wealthy, paying clients and instead plays the who do you know game with promoters is just blatantly incorrect. They do not incentive bouncers to charge a cover, they dont have any form of a line, and the whole place is generally just a turn off for anyone even looking at the establishment on the street. After working as a manager in the food and beverage and entertainment industries for years, never have I seen a place with so much demand, fail so miserably. I would urge anyone reading this to not even consider going to the sister lounge until the management learns how to effectively run a nightclub.
The reviews are from people who couldn’t get in, it’s a high end bar in nyc you can’t just waltz in without knowing anyone. The suit guy is clearly on a power trip BUT the actual club is extremely fun and have great music.
Stood outside for an hour while trying to get the mans, in the orange and grey suit, attention. He stared me in the face and walked away, several times. He blatantly ignored me and nearly everyone standing there waiting. He picked and chose individuals who he saw “fit” to enter. Was very disrespectful and disgusting treatment. Wouldn’t return if someone paid me to.
The guy who wears the old suit who looks at everyone in line deciding who to let in gets OFF on that power trip and watching this and sadly being a part of it for just a few minutes was outrageously disturbing. If you have any ounce of self-respect do NOT go here and do NOT waste your time.
Had a reservation 2 weeks prior. Called and confirmed a week later. When we got to the club the bouncer said he can’t find the reservation and went to ask a manager. Came out a few minutes later with a manager and told us they got the date wrong, but can late us in with a much more minimum spend than we agreed. If y’all wondering all 5 of us are white and early 30’s.
Literally the most humiliating experience, my best friend and I walked up and were greeted by the bouncers, (African guys) they were singing Backstreet Boys and joking so we joined in on the song … a white manager walked up and made a joke about him being African and knowing the song and I was already over it but my best friend wanted to go in . He asks us how many and checks our ids .. he than proceeds to talk to the white manager and is appearing to plead our case .. without even looking in our direction the manager says no .. we’re both black girls and I’ve heard about their racist past but clearly had to experience it for myself …. Do not go here If you’re black smh !!!!!
The club itself is nice. Bouncers are douchebags like in most clubs. Not a cheap place so be prepared to spend money unless you’re a pretty blonde then the drinks will come your way. They definitely only want certain kinds of people in there which I understand because they want to attract models and wealthy middle aged men but they can be nicer about it. I saw many people get judged/not allowed in which made me uncomfortable. Would I go back? Maybe…if my friends wanted to go, but alone? Never…
Can we work on cancelling this establishment?! This place does not let black or brown women inside! It was truly disheartening, disappointing and embarrassing the way we were treated and turned away. My friends and I were coming from another event, we were dressed up, very NY fashion so they couldnt say we didnt meet dress code. But they only black security outside (the Yes man)did tell us its a full night as we watched them let in white women(with dirty sneakers on) and men in before and after we were turned away. A small man with random gloves on gives the nod of approval whether you can be let in or not.TBH this review isnt enough, that place needs to be shut down and called out on their blatant racism. Little Sister do better! You’re more like the Evil Step Sister!
Awesome night. We were not on the list, we just looked nice. 3 girls, black, hispanic, and white. We are all either from NY or LA No race related issues whatsoever. Doorman and bouncers are very polite. Super friendly bar staff . Mixed crowd, (mostly white and black) however EVERYONE was v attractive and well mannered . A literal sea of gorgeous faces and bodies. A group of guys offered me/us shots as soon as I got to the bar. Everyone was dancing! All tables were booked & many high profile people were there. A few moments after walking in we were invited to join a table. champagne flowed , I made new friends. Fantastic evening.
If I could give a zero star, I would. Absolutely worst bar. The bouncers are awful (especially the one in the fur coat) do yourself a favor and skip this bar. The bouncers pick and chose who they want to let in based on looks. There’s also a $300 minimum that they don’t tell you about until they let you in. Save your Friday/Saturday night and SKIP this place
This establishment was very blatantly racist. I was going as a guest of a promoter and brought my girlfriend who was in town visiting. We’re both AA individuals, the man in the yellow suit called us disgusting and too dark and said why are we even there, they also tried to accuse me of having a fake id (I’m 23, it’s not fake) so I subsequentY had to show a picture of my passport to prove it wasn’t fake. Terrible service, we didn’t get in. Would not recommend to anybody. They might as well put a sign that says “Whites Only” on the exterior.
Racist establishment. Gino (fur coat in the winter) at the front door? Racist. If you are black would NOT recommend. When you see the people he prefers to let in? -NO THANKS. Do not wait more than 10min outside. Management really needs to reassess their front door practices.
Really great DJs and friendly service inside. Did require a table/promoter to get in, but definitely is a good time. Not easy to get in which leads to a lot of bad reviews.
I emailed to ask about a reservation and, at first, Andrea told me that they weren’t accepting reservations at this time. But she cc’d Pablo on the email. He then emailed me and said he could do a reservation and gave me offerings for particular tables with minimum spends. So I was ecstatic and confirmed the reservation. I showed up 2 weeks later and told the doorman I was here and gave him the reservation name. I had a reservation for 15 people. The doorman (a little, short, elf-looking man) went to check my reservation. He walked inside, then was on the phone. After 5 mins he walks over and says that there is record of my reservation, but it was never booked. I told him about Andrea and Pablo and was going to show him my email correspondence. He then, cut me off and said whatever deal you had doesn’t mean anything now. Then he said he would work with me because he felt bad I was standing out her. He said for $6,000 he could get us a table (my original minimum spend was $4,000). The money wasn’t the issue. I was planning on spending at least that. It was the way I was treated. And he tried to shake me down from an additional $2000. Liars and crooks. I don’t recommend this place to anyone for that reason.
Wear your thong outside your pants to get in. 100% discrimination for hot girls only. We ain’t bad. But we ain’t wearing thongs on the outside. Hahaha so raw. Hot or not stats. The doorman does coke. And thinks he’s a god. Do not go!
Little sister is amazing! I went here for the first time after hearing about it from my girl friends and i was not disappointed! Its a really classy but lit lounge to go too! Was definitely a good time and will definitely come here more often
I’ve been to a private event, so couldn’t assess the food (wasn’t the regular menu), but the service and atmosphere were fantastic.
This place is begging to get shut down lol. Theres this middle aged man (visibly pushing age 60) whom they call boss, and its up to him to decide whether or not youre allowed in.His name is Wass Stevens, and hes been thrown in jail before for assaulting club-goers.... this goes to show you the lack of values TAO hospitality maintains. If you need a description, he looks like a sleazy salesman with greasy slicked backed hair and will probably be wearing a gaudy suit. If you want to get inside and youre not white, mixed asian (his personal type), Eurocentric, or ethically ambiguous — go with a promoter or be group where your the minority. Now if you read what I just said, and you still desire to go, PLEASE do some self-reflection. You need it, seriously.
Elegant and sophisticated establishment. Trashy ppl in gym shoes want to believe they cant get in bc of their skin color.
Not sure why people keep coming in droves. The place is horrendous. Period. Here’s a clue they don’t care what you say… there are so many bad reviews, with no response from them…. Because people keep coming. They don’t care! If you’re reading this before deciding to go, please don’t. Don’t reinforce bad behaviors, bad establishments, bad staff, bad service, bad everything! JUST. SAY. NO.
Very disappointing. Don’t even try to go if you don’t know someone who’s acquainted with the staff or the midget of a manager. Also very racist, I was with a friend of mine, only us two, and the white manager looked me in the eyes many times and still never let us in after making us wait 3 hours outside. The manager only let the ones he knows inside and the bouncers abide to him. So don’t bother at all.
The establishment seemed like a nice vibe until they wouldn’t let us in. Black people & hispanic people were told they couldn’t come in because they didn’t fit the beauty standard there ! Even though they were wearing the same attire as the blonde women they did let in.
Absolutely racist place, the security kept separating friendship groups and letting in who they thought looked good and turning away those they didn’t think looked good. As for black people they didn’t even look twice, it was a straight no. Terrible establishment. Didn’t think places like that still existed but clearly I am wrong!!! Needs to be shut down!!
Terrible spot. Waited on line for 30 minutes to get in and then was told that I had to spend a minimum of 200 dollars at the bar in order to stay. Didnt even bother. You shouldnt either.
They need to shut down this establishment I went over there last Friday waited on the line for 45 mins just to tell me that I needed reservations. The place is racist don’t waste your time, don’t spend spend your money at that place, it’s not worth it.
The doorman asked for a minimum consumption of a bottle of 600 USD for 4 people even though other 4 friends had already a table inside with a bottle. First, there are no bottles at that price in the menu (they cost more). Second, real minimum consumption was actually 900 USD including tax a tip (big difference). Staff were not open to negotiate.
Very white crowd, un inclusive, one promoter damon was very rude and hostile and told us “we can’t take photos there” when plenty of people do so all the time. and they force you to start a minimum bar tab if youre with any male no matter how many girls you’re with
Horrible, wish I could give this place 0 stars. Incredibly racist, it was very clear that the bouncers would only let white people enter the bar. Dont waste your time or your money
I’ll just summarize my entire experience at this establishment and the overwhelming amount of validation I’ve only now gotten from reading these reviews by telling any and everyone reading this to avoid going here unless you’re looking for a taste of racism served with a side of misogyny topped with the absolute worst service/attitudes you can imagine.1 star almost even feels like lying.. and if I remember correctly it is 2022 not the 1960s.Please get over yourself.
Cool spot, food was very good, cocktails p good, weirdly empty until 3 tables of models and their host walked in at the same time .Really cool atmosphere
Those who plan on going must recognize that through patronizing Little Sister Lounge, you are actively complicit in and contributing to the perpetuation of overt and obscene racism. Disgusting😕
Very racist place. There is a little midget manager with a terrible sense of fashion who decides who comes in. Even the most basic non-women of color got in. I thought it had to do with dress code, but then I saw women who dressed extremely basic get in while the women of color could not get in
Me and my friend got there early (first in line, with no line). There were 4 guys outside but they had to wait fir their “door manager” to come and let us in. After waiting we entered and then when we were half way down the stairs the same guys that were staring at us for 10 minutes while the “door manager” arrived stopped us half way down the stairs and said that we had to check our tiny cross-body bags. When I asked, “ why didn’t you tell us this before we were half way down the stairs?” the RUDE door guy said “I’m telling you now!” How incredibly RUDE and disrespectful! I left feeling terrible after that immature and disrespectful comment! TAO GROUP needs to hire people with manners and guest service skills to run their door, not disrespectful and rude door men that need to have the last word. Needless to say, I won’t be back.
The staff are transphobic, my friend is gorgeous they were clearly just insecure about it. This bar clearly is made by and for obnoxious bigoted white people.
A waste of time. The door man gets off at his power trip. Makes no sense on who is let in and not. Inside is mediocre at best. Don’t waste your time and money here.
Drink made me sick af. Small space and low claustrophobic ceilings. Felt like a hobbits home.
Tables aren’t worth it go somewhere else
Had a wonderful night, crowd was decent, i think that’s the reason they choose people to let in, which is totally fine!!!
Freaking horrible!! Dont worry about me or my crew EVER going back to this RATCHET place!! It looks enticing but its a total ripb off and the staff at the door are VERY RUDE!!
Don’t bother coming here if you aren’t Caucasian. You won’t be acknowledged. Groups of Indians/Latinos were turned away for no reason while groups of whites were allowed in. Very racist and humiliating. Unfortunate that this still happens in 2022
Horrible bar/club. Losers left and right. Security elbowed me in the neck for no reason and then crushed my toes w his shoes. Line to get is too long and now worth it.
I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. I would give it 0 stars for sure. The racism experienced is soo bad. I spoke to other people on line who noticed the racism. Per the doormans decretion they called it.
Too bad theres no way to leave zero stars, because one star is already more than what this establishment deserves. Its not a famous highly established luxury lounge, but they act like theyre one. The crowd is pathetic, teenagers behaving like theyre fancy people but not even one would be wearing some expensive luxury clothing or accessories. On top of this, the bouncers at door are pretty sad to look at, behaving like theyre stars above average guarding some precious treasure. So called actor Wass Stevens is nothing more than a bouncer, because, lets face it, if youre a successful actor youre not standing all night as a bouncer getting yelled at by drunk teenagers. Then theres Bryce de la Croix, who happened to offer me a 200 dollars bar tab to get in, when I was actually supposed to simply join a friend of mine that was celebrating her birthday and who already paid such tab for the group of people I was supposed to be part of. It could have been 20 or 400 dollars, its not a matter of price, its just a matter of going against any type of common sense.
This club is racist and they are disrespectful. If you have a club you have to be respectful of you want have a club, very bad club, I never gonna go again.
NYC got some amazing places to dance but this one is definitely not the one - the worst attitude. Music was good but that’s about it! PhD, Vandal, TAO, and Lavo are undoubtedly much better and more fun! Will never come back!
Walked in and a bartender told me I “looked a little darker than their normal clientele.” When I looked down in the drink he served me, there was a roach swimming at the top. When I showed him that monstrosity he remarked, “you don’t like the garnish?” He then told me to leave immediately. I will NEVER support this establishment again.
The front door of this establishment is run like an impromptu fiefdom. The short balding man with the handlebar captain morgan moustache is thier leader.
Just went. Racism at the door is true and that’s just disgusting. Can’t wait until they’re closed down, already dead most nights.
Awful experience. Bouncers are horribly rude and disrespectful, no surprise this has 2.1 stars. Avoid at all costs. Do not spend a dollar here.
The bouncers ask for money to let you in. That’s it. I refused to pay the bouncer to get in. I was ready to buy drinks. I guess the owner doesn’t want your money.
Great little place - hard to get into but VIP host Mo looked after us splendidly.
Would give 0 stars if I could bouncer claimed my real id was fake and was persistent though I had a second form of id.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could. This place is racist and the owner is a racist. I would avoid this place at all cost. All people of color ended up leaving because they simply wouldn’t let them in.
Came to NY to visit and the whole club is racist Karens in this place. Its a joke. I dont ever wanna experience again.
Meh. You can get in if you’re pretty. But unless you’re 5’11, white, blonde, 110lb tiktoker you’ll pretty much go unnoticed and won’t get the same service/respect lol
Never encountered door staff that literally don’t speak, ignore you and overlook you. Awful. They really don’t like people of color here.
Worst nightclub in NYC. Staff is problematic. Talked to the manager John Raiti, and were unable to resolve the issue of his aggressive staff. Dont come here.
Bouncers are so rude, hateful, and horrible to women. Will never come back again.
I’d highly recommend you waste your money elsewhere. 1000% not worth the time or money! Racist business!
Very bad service they provide ..They Are racist specially that old guy stand in the front for the entry He is very rude he dont know how to talk with guest . Do not Visit this Lounge .
This useless club needs to be shut down before the end of this year. Its a disgusting club that shouldnt exist, Ill write a letter to the mayor
Never been here but if I do just be prepared to get told by a REAL NYC girl S M … D lol cause respectfully ya not gonna play with my body
I was roofied here!!! I was with my friends the whole night and it must have been a server or bartender since I never left my drink unattended.
Dodo the guy in the front has tiny hands
Utter waste of money, crazy staff.
If you’re not white, Don’t even try to get in. We had a table and they wouldn’t even let us in. Ended up going to the pool hall next door
Had a reservation, guy at door told us our reservation didnt exist and tried shaking us down for $2000 more than what we agreed to. Scam. Do not recommend.
Racist and anti-Semitic place, they let you wait for two hours and dont let you in.. Disgusting people and treat you in a shocking way!! Very disappointing not recommended at all!!!
Fred at entrance was unreasonable and unfair. Rude guy. Some greeting staff were very nasty and unwelcoming.. Felt uncomfortable
Fun spot for a Tuesday night! Surprised to see it so full on a weekday but it’s the place to be on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
A little man with paisley shoes and a corduroy blazer DARED to not let people into this club - if you have any dignity stay away
Baffles me that a place would have so many reviews mentioning racism. No one should give that place any business irrespective of what it’s worth inside.
Called a nick gur then a very large rat ran out of the main entrance. drinks taste like pickle juice
The bodyguards are the most rude I ever encountered in nyc, I’m 28 and they said my id is fake and didn’t let me in
The oompa loompa looking guy is giving me weird/racist vibes. Eddie’s cool tho. I found a cockroach in my drink
I remember when wass stevens used to make my friends cry at Avenue like 10yrs ago so pretty traumatizing to see him running the door here, refused to pay the $100 cover they tried to charge for girls and bad experience overall - will never go back
Most exclusive and hardest club to get into in NYC. Rockwell design group killed it. Simply amazing
This place is racist and I don’t know how they’re still open staff is rude drinks are terrible bathroom reeks .
Very racist place, the bouncers only let all the white people in. 0/10 would not recommend.
Bad service the bouncers are rude an they make it a bad vibe the crowd is cool .Was about to drop 2k but decided not to give them business did the bar tab instead
Even though we got in, its not worth the hassle.Very hostile and racist place
They are garbage at the door. The reviews match up. Spend your money elsewhere.
Rude doorman. Incompetent at his job. She has a lower class girls Who may be under age and easily rufied
Sadly very racist… unless you are very showing your skin they don’t let you get in :(
They didnt want to let us in despite looking like mf Charlies Angels new gen. Also whats with the cockroaches in drink?
Had a wonderful time music was great the bartenders were excellent and Alexis was amazing and made sure we had a great experience
No commenting on Instagram? Whats wrong? Cant handle the pressure? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
First day they open welcomed me with warm greetings. I LOVE IT THERE 🥰 ( Highly recommend)
Looking for high quality club, this is the place to beEspecially on Tues nights!
The bouncers laughed at us for trying to come in and said 2 hour wait.
Low class , greedy Managers they once your deposited minimum charge finished they will ask you to leave , not recommended place
Wont let you in unless you know them personally or are dressed in a full Gucci outfit.
This place wont let people of color enter the place. This place is racist.
Racist! I can’t believe how that treated me and my friend. Wouldn’t let us in for no reason at all.
Everything I go to little sister, I feel the roll out the red carpet for me and my friends EVERYTIME!!! Thanks Guys!
This establishment should be shut down. Extremely racist to people of color.
Why don’t they let black people in ?
They are racist! They only let white people in.
Racist place.....the worst they only let you in only if you white
If your white great if not good luck
Rude staff. Fred the greeter was nasty and unwelcome. Very unpleasant experience
Amazing club!
Never go there
I have never faced more racism than to get into this club
DO NOT GO !!! Super Racist
The handpick whoever they wanna let in and kick out the rest. People be waiting in line for almost an hour for nothing.
Racist trashy place. Avoid it at all cost.
Rip-off, 400 dollar entrance (2 ppl, while sleeping in nextdoor hotel)
Great staff with a cozy yet fun energy, great for all ages and occasions.
Very racist! They very open about their racist attitude!
Great club… good music! Keep it up.
Don’t want to add anything new to what people have already said about this place.
Very nice place with friendly people, will come back soon
Very small & not worth going to. You’re better off going to a different place.
Hard pass: There are so many better places to give your money to
Can I give this zero stars? Worst place I’ve ever been
Id rather get kissed by a subway rat than ever step foot in this establishment again.
Definitely wasn’t the best at all
I went there and everything was racist
Worst staff i’ve seen in my life
Negligence upon negligence.
🙌🏿
Very racist not a good place to be
Horrible staff and incredibly overrated. This place belongs in meatpacking not the east village.
Cant believe they banned nav from here
Place is trash, just close it down already.
