I had a great time good vibes and great music. There wasn’t a cover charge. I came in on an R&B night. Drinks here were a bit more than other places I had went to throughout the night.

Awesome music and good service. Had good time. No pushy bar tenders or arrogant bouncers. The crowd was also good. Restrooms were also clean.**they charge convenience fee on the credit card usage.**most drinks are priced around $14

Good cover band strong drinks. This unapologetically a disco down disco ball. It ‘s not too crowded a little room to dance. If you go you should dance

Comfortable place with a great vibe. Live band, crowd, bartender, and even the bathroom attendant were all great. Hurricane I had here was the best tasting I had while visiting New Orleans.We did not experience the overcharging mentioned in other reviews. In fact I liked how the bartender handled pricing. The music is so loud inside, the bartender rang up drinks on the register so I could see the amount before paying, which I always did with cash.If there is a negative on this place it would be the very loud music volume.

I had such a good time. I was a lil skeptical going in at first bc they have people enticing you to come in but I couldnt resist the band. The band that was there on 1/25/22 was amazing. They had me dancing and I have forgotten all about everything that was on my mind.

All the place and vibe was amazing, I was there on the 15th sadly I didnt get the name of the band but they were spectacular. Best club in the French Quarter

By far my favorite place in New Orleans, that band was great and keep me wanting to dance all night, we tried a lot of other places but each night we would end up back here.

Bartender forged a 100% tip on a $12 tab. This place needs to be and will be investigated.

Had a blast this weekend. Kept ending up back at this bar. So much fun shaking our booties. The band was amazing!Went again for Mardi Gras weekend. My wife and I would walk up and down Bourbon but always ended up back here dancing. The DJs were fun and the crowd was having a great time! The drinks are strong and the vibe does not disappoint!

What an excellent place, I cant remember the name of this band but if you looking for authentic funk music this is the place.

Cool Band. Does not skimp on pour. had a great experience but they had only 3 tables in the whole place . Many customers came in and went back out because no seats . You can easily add more tables and stools and still maintain a respectable distance between them . You must really not like money huh ?

Great place to see live music. If you wanna go see a band up close and dance all night this is true place to go. Its a dark dive bar but the music is loud and the drinks are flowing. The shot girl walks around with test tube shots, she tends to be a little pushy but she is entertaining. Stop by and check it out.

This place is pretty nice. The music changes (this visit was Queen, Bon Jovi, and some other recognizable stuff) and the musicians always seem to encourage audience participation...singing along and such, not dancing in on the bar if thats not your thing! Ive been here on at least one other visit to New Orleans, and Im sure Ill be back.

Ive been to this place several times and there are a couple of good consistent trends. #1, the band is awesome they play old school, new school, R&B music and there is always a good vibe with them.#2 the bartenders are good they just get overwhelmed sometimes.#3 the bathrooms are relatively clean, which is a commodity on Bourbon Street. I wish they would do something different upstairs, appears to be a waste of space.

Love this place. Atmosphere is great. Ive been going to this place for yrs. Im a local and still love it. I would like to mention the quality of the shot girls have been going down. I went on 10/11/19 and got into an argument with the chick because she tried to sell me shots she wanted me to take. When I asked her what other shots she had she accused me of having an attitude and tried to have me thrown out! Hate to see this place lose long term customers over temporary workers

Horrible place. They are theives. This place is disgusting. A girl shoves shots down a persons throat my entire family was so scared!nd demands 70+ dollars for something that wasnt even ordered! I will contact my bank and maybe my attorney! Do not go to this bar they will chase you down and force you to buy anything they want like its a robbery!

Very irritated. Went and had 2 drinks with friends. Paid and left, all of a sudden my wallet was missing from my purse. Went back in After walking across the street and realizing I just paid, put my wallet away and now it was gone and no one knew of anything. 30 min later a charge of over 100$ took place and a declined charge occurred after at Walgreens. 100$ charge took place before I put a hold on my cards. When we called we were informed yes someone had my card and they had it on footage and to hold. They hung up. We called again and they told us to wait and hung up. Sketchy, staff was quick to say yea my card was used by someone else but hung up the phone anytime a question on the Situation arrose… another 30 min goes past another charge over 100$ declined at a Walgreens nearby. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DO NOT COME TO THIS BAR!!!! No help when they agreed illegal actions took place. Law enforcement has been notified and given all information as well as documentations.

Great place for live blues! Black Diamond was AMAZING! The shot girls were annoying! However, I dont think they were specifically for this club. I noticed them coming in and out of several clubs. One of them came to me trying to get me to take 2 shots she had put in her mouth. I was drunk but I wasnt that drunk. I did have to give 5 stars for the music though!

The bartenders and bouncers were nice. And The band changes so this is only my experience one night, but man was the band cringey. Watching 50 year old men make jokes about Justin Bieber being gay is incredibly pathetic. They had the sense of humour of 14 year old boys from 2012.

Bartender added $10 extra tip for two beers I bought above my signature. Im reporting them for fraud, but skip this place.

Very fun night. Stage performer is incredible and engages the crowd. The staff makes the whole experience very memorable.

The bouncer’s tried to steal my knife that I told them to hold onto. They really tried to play stupid when they passed around my property thinking I won’t notice.The bartenders are crooks that force overpriced shots into your mouth and then expect you to pay for them.

Popped in here because the music sounded good from the street. Left two hours later and could have danced there all night with my Bestie!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! NASTY waitress forced us to do shots and started twerking on us with her disgusting jiggly fat a**. Then she chased us outside demanding $48 for 2 shots!

Best music on Bourbon Street. Listened on Friday and then came back Saturday. I was so impressed with the band. I also found the bartenders and the people who worked there very friendly and kind.

The warnings about the Shot Girls are fairly true, but they are rather nice.The music and the vibe are great. My favorite non-jazz spot on Bourbon St.

The BEST club with the BEST music! We had so much fun! And it was right across from our hotel (Four Points by Sheraton) you can literally walk across there.

Funky Club 544 is THE best bar / club on Bourbon Street. The Jagwah Band featuring BRW is the best band / group I have ever heard, very polished and not to mention the drummer...... OMG I LOVE this place. I will be back again and again and again.

Avoid this place, it was empty for a reason, that should have been our sign not to go in. Downstairs bartender was rude right from the moment we approached and then overcharged us for drinks. Bad vibes all around.

First time in N.O club was right across the street from my hotel they have live music and great drinks the band was good. I had a great time.

I walked the streets of New Orleans a lot, but by far the best jazz band I found at Funky 544. I saw that band a total of 3 nights in a row and at no time did they lose their energy, fun, and not to mention the good vibes they had with the public.
