Refresh Nail n Spa (W 94 ST)

Loved this salon! Clean and friendly staff without the strong smell of nail polish or other fumes. They have organic toxin free nail polish and their massage chair is in a separate private room, which is lovely. I had a basic pedicure and 10 minute back massage with Zaira and she did an amazing job.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but I am not exaggerating when I say I think this manicure is the worst of my life. I wish I would have stayed home and done it myself because the quality is so bad. They put two extremely thin coats of very old looking gel polish on which left streaks and lumps. It’s see-through even though it was opaque polish. The lengths and shapes of the nails are uneven as well. I called them and they refused to refund me, they only offered to fix it which would require a total removal and another gel manicure that’s likely to be poor quality. I’m going to have to go to another salon to get it completely re-done. Terrible quality and terrible customer service.

Dip manicure looked great when I left salon but within 1 week I had one severe 1/2 nail chip and within 9 days 2 more smaller chips. This is the fastest Ive had a dip disintegrate, I usually get 3+ weeks.

Maria did an excellent job! She was kind gentle and very attentive to detail.

I typically avoid leaving negative reviews, but I must express my disappointment with this establishment, particularly regarding their pricing. The prices here are exorbitant and seem to be arbitrarily determined. Its essential to inquire about prices before proceeding with any services or purchases. Overall, my experience here was incredibly unsatisfactory, and I have no intention of returning.

The Refresh Nail n Spa is a little oasis from the chaos of city streets. Inside the atmosphere is most relaxing, soft tranquil music plays, and the massage chairs are supportive and comfy. I do love how Kim does my brows. Haven’t had them tinted before but I will be from now on. Spa pedicure is on point and worth the money.

Really bad experience. 👎I used to get my eyelash extension 3D and very full for 150 dollars. I wanted to try something close by, and for this, she charged me 200 dollars and asked me for the 10% gratitude, which is another 40 dollars. She wanted me to make a 2-week appointment for retouch. Dont even bother bother to make an appointment very unprofessional. Never coming back again.

I always get a great manicure and pedicure here and excellent service. I get the basics with a message. They can usually get me in on short notice, but best to call ahead.

Truly a lovely experience. I walked in for a powder dip soak off and a regular manicure after. They had no additional charge for organic polish or weekly polish. They were full but the tech did a thorough job reshaping my nails and gave me a gorgeous fresh coat. I recommend making an appointment as they seemed to be in high demand!

This place is phenomenal ! I just went to Regina for GelX nail extensions and a gel manicure, with the hailey Bieber nails and they are flawless! Every time I come here she does an amazing job. I highly recommend this Refresh location!

Worst and longest mani pedi Ive had for the price . The woman seemed very inexperienced, took a long time but didnt really clean my nails, I literally took the nail tool to finish the work, I had to ask her to scrub 3 tikes, she seemed like she didnt want to touch my feet. Everything was very light, like a little pat down. They dont use water for the mani (is that a thing now? My old place which was closed always used water). Once she was done she didnt offer me the drying spray that everyone else got. I had to ask the manager for it, then I told the manager I would like plastic as I had closed shoes, she said my toes were dry. Ive had instances were my shoe damage the color. I ended up putting the plastic on my feet. There are many other places in the neighborhood to try, dont waste your time and money here.

I had one of the best experiences today. I was in a rush and they were so nice to try and help me get out as fast as they could. I got a mani pedi gel and eyebrows and left within an hour!! And the service was excellent!! We did the mani pedi simultaneously and they were so fast (yet not rushed) and efficient and did an awesome job. I LOVE my nails. The staff was super courteous and kind, I was stressed and left so happy. Will come back again for sure!

I made an appointment for my manicure and still they made me wait for 1 hour. They were no sorry and when I told them it is really rude to waste my time, they said sorry they can’t do anything. 4 times they told me to wait for another 15 mins. I told them finally I will give them this honest review on Google based on facts and they said if I give the review, then I must leave and they won’t go my manicure. Now they are telling me to leave after 1 hour of waiting and refusing my manicure. This is the Brooklyn location on Flatbush Ave.

Refresh nails is a very aesthetic and clean nail salon. Unfortunately, they lack the artistry and expertise. I came here for a walk-in pedicure since my nail lady at another location was unavailable. The nail tech was welcoming and sweet. However pedicure was below standards, the pedicure filing was uneven, and the polish application was not the best. Never coming back to this location.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Additionally the floor was disgusting, filthy. Zero stars. I arrived at the time I confirmed on the phone with them after booking in ClassPass. When I arrived, they cancelled the appointment and told me they had no additional time or technicians available. Someone else walked in and they offered them an appointment and they sat immediately in the chair. And they charged me $60 through ClassPass! STAY AWAY!

I went to get a power manicure last week on a Tuesday because I was traveling to NC for a wedding. When I woke up, was so upset to see my nails looking horrible. Had to go to a wedding with nails looking like an amature did them. Came back to the City that same week, got them fixed that same Friday. Got up on Monday, same problem. Im not going to bother to get them fixed yet again by them. I will never go back again.

Ive had several regular manicures here, all very nice and long-lasting. I chose the organic Zoya polish, and it stayed chip-free for nearly a week. There is no longer a surcharge for Zoya, which is welcome. The last time I went, I was in a rush, and Linda and Malu worked on my hands and feet at the same time so I could leave in time for work, which I appreciated very much. Most of the negative reviews seem to be about gel or powder manicures, which I havent tried.

The staff was very nice but my manicure was horrible. Nails were filed exceedingly short and the paint job looked like it was done by a middle schooler. It was only $20, so I guess that was the good part. You get what you pay for.

Way overpriced but worse than that — one of my brand new acrylic nails that cost me over $100 on Monday was broken (completely lifted off) by Thursday morning. There’s a million nail places nearby, go to ANY of those instead.

Pros:- I walked in without an appointment and got seen right away for a gel manicure- Used a group on and got a really great price- Everything looked really clean and sterileCons:- The technician cut me while taking off my last gel manicure-The color turned out way different than the sample and the technician never offered to find a color closer to what I was going for. I just got encouraged to keep waiting for the next coat to fix it and after three failed coats she just told me it looked pretty and told me I was done...Not the worst place but I probably won’t be back.

I went here for the first time today and I am in love. I got a sns manicure from Regina and she was amazing. So sweet and her attention to detail was wonderful. Also incredibly clean and a really cute interior. So happy to have finally found a quality nail salon uptown.

Excellent customer service. The place is soo relaxing and soothing and everyone is soo courteous and humble. The nail polish on my nails last for a very long time and they do an amazing job. I highly recommend it to everyone and theres always deals from time to time when you sign up for emails. Love the environment and thank you once again. Will be going again soon as usual 😁🙌🏼🙏

This place is a joke . I got a pedicure with barely any scrub or rub. Then continue to get dip powder with gel over it that chipped the next day! And they won’t even let me get a free touch up . I told them how they have officially lost business. I have never wrote a review before but I am highly disappointed. I spent over a 100$ for disgusting looking nails and horrible service . Good thing I wasn’t in a rush it took them 5 hours and I was the only customer in at the time.

I normally dont leave bad reviews, and while I think the woman who helped me may have tried to do a good job, she had difficulty waxing my face, saying the hair was too short and really, it wasnt. She even gave up and only waxed part of my face, after I asked her to do what she could. Instead of using oil, she rubbed alcohol very hard into my skin that she tried to wax unsuccessfully, against the short hair, and then said maybe I was too sensitive. She also got wax in between my lips and in my hair. When I cancelled the rest of my appt for a pedicure, she grabbed my hand in an effort to make me feel better. lve never been grabbed by anyone in a spa setting before, and I thought it was strange and inappropriate. Imagine a doctor or a waitress grabbing your hand while its resting on your leg. It definitely made me feel very uncomfortable. She was kind enough to not charge me for the service, but I think the spa could use a better waxer or better training. Maybe telling someone their hair is too short is better than putting wax on for no reason, ripping the skin off, rubbing alcohol into it, and then also getting wax in between my lips and in my hair. How disappointing.

Walked in. Was greeted right away. They showed me a menu of services. I chose what I wanted then sat back and enjoyed a relaxing pedicure in a comfortable space. Staff was friendly, polite and professional. Place looked clean. Prices were fair. I will definitely come back. (Register with your phone number for future discounts)

Perfect paint job, fast, efficient service. Great spa mani/pedi options. Clean toxic free polish options and free long wearing polish options. Highly recommend.

First impressions was the “Organic Products” , sanitary tools,pleasant techs for me. But in the end I had to go back 2 more times to fix the ANC powder mani…. and its still cracking and breaking even after they added another coat. Not sure if its the product or the application bcs I’ve never experienced this before 🤷‍♀️ So its a solid ⭐️⭐️

Receptionist is rude and carried on in front of other customers. She also charged me $20 for a acrylic removal when the price chart states $5/$7/$10. Work is very mediocre with horrible customer service & low quality work.

Can I live here? So lovely and relaxing...this place is awesome and just amazimg. I highly recommend them. The staff is great, the place is clean, they have a huge selection of polishes and various options for spa pedi. I definitely see myself coming back here again and again. Happy that I found them.

This is my go-to on the upper west. They do a fantastic powder manicure, excellent gel pedicure, and the massages are incredible. They have my heart!

Terrible customer service and cheep products (dip manicure starts cracking after 3 days). They disrespect customers by talking about them in different language and assuming that they don’t understand what they are saying. Never going back to this place again!
