Spa Blue

I had heard of Spa Blue from friends and family and so decided to go there for a manicure and pedicure and I was so impressed. It is fabulous! The staff are kind and well trained and the manager Lucy made me feel so comfortable, she is warm and friendly and welcomes each client as a friend, and one definitely leaves as a friend. On top of the great treatment, my nails lasted almost a month before I saw any chipping ! Thank you Spa Blue, I will be back the next time I visit the city and I will recommend you to all my friends who visit New York !

I’m visiting from SF and decided to get a gel mani before leaving tomorrow and found this spot on Google and based on the reviews decided to come in. My nail tech was Amy and she took the best care when cleaning and cutting my cuticles and was really precise with the polish application. Based on the calls I was overhearing, she also seems like an in demand tech - so I would defo say ask for her if you call to make an appt. Thanks Amy!

I had the most amazing experience! And I met some Hollywood stars. Honestly can’t recommend more. Pedicures are for dudes too!

Christina the nail tech was so kind and helpful during my pedicure. I really enjoyed talking with her and she did an excellent job on my toes. The spa package I got was very refreshing and helped my feet feel like they were ready for spring! I would certainly come back again.

I had the first pedicure of my life here and - wow it was amazing! The staff are so wonderful and friendly and the treatment was great! Cant wait for my next visit to New York!

Always incredible, highly recommend SNS dip here. They do an amazing job with Chrome and matte. Prices are fair for nyc. Long (natural) nails like mine take 2-3hrs if you include SNS removal.

I received service from Kathy. Probably the most relaxing Mani/Pedi Ive ever had. Fantastic service. Friendly staff all around. Relaxing soundtrack. A bit pricey, but it was worth it. Ill definitely be back!

Outstanding service! Ripped my nail halfway across the tip on vacation. They took me in for a silk wrap without an appointment and it was only $15. Excellent work.

Feet felt pampered. I had the Green Tea Spa pedicure, which is a little bit more then some other places for a spa pedicure in the neighborhood, but we’ll worth the extra few dollars. The technician took a lot of care and time to get rid of the callous on my feet that other places barely made a dent in. She gave a lovely massage and trimmed and cleaned my nails with no pain (also unlike other places). Staff were friendly and attentive. Place was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! THEY ARE THIEVES!!!I decided to give this place a chance because I was in the area and the previous reviews weren’t too bad but I won’t be back.I actually had a nice experience. I was comfortable, they were nice and the technicians took their time with the services but they are definitely taking advantage of people with their prices.She put a few butterflies on my nails and it was an additional $40 it took all of 5mins if that to add them. Seeing my total for a gel mani and pedi total $157 was very disappointing. I don’t recommend.Update the “design” messed up the next day.Please Save yourself the headache and money.

Very happy with my gel mani. I was treated with lots of attention to the tiniest detail and patience - the gel I had on before was quite resilient and the nails technician was extra careful to remove it at the right time to not hurt my nails. I really appreciated it. They also take COVID safety extra seriously. Would definitely recommend!

I found this spot a few months ago and loved it. For a regular mani I recommend Vero(veronica but they call her vero) she’s very careful with the nail&you can tell she if very meticulous, so I always end up walking out happy knowing she cares about her work&making someone happy. The photos I uploaded are a set of extensions with a gel overlay done by Jenny(natural Pink as a base&“love is in the bare” sheer OPI gel as the color on top. Jenny is also awesome. She shapes my nails very well&does exactly what I ask for&also gives great nail advice. I feel so confident whenever she does my extensions. I came back after a few weeks for a fill also done by Jenny. Not disappointed once again. I wanted the same exact nails except topped with a holographic ombre that was done by Ruth. Ruth usually does ombres but has never done a holographic one so she took a leap&trusted her gut. Everyone at the salon made me walk around&show them the results from how insane it looked including the owner.The only thing that hurts are the prices to be honest, it’s extremely pricey so I try my best to go at least once a month because I cannot afford to go more than that.

I had the most AMAZING experience at this salon. After doing some research I decided to give spa blue a chance because the location was very convenient for me. However, I was wary because the older reviews weren’t too good and they didn’t have any pictures up.The place just recently got new management and they are SPECTACULAR at what they do. I am more than satisfied with my mani-pedi. The owner is so warm and friendly and the workers went over and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The woman who owns it is very good at what she does and she has won my loyalty. This is the only nail salon I will go to from now because not only was I treated well but they also did an amazing job with my nails. Fantastic job! I 100% recommend this place. Also, I opted for a 10minute massage while I was getting my nails done and the woman who does it has magical hands! If I could give this place 6 stars I would!! The prices are also very fair considering the area and it’s very much worth it!!

More than just a great manicure; this place made me feel like a million bucks. I was a last minute walk in on a busy summer Sunday the day before my vacation and they took me immediately no questions asked, got me in and out but didn’t rush on a difficult job (haven’t had a mani pedi in a year eek!!). They had a technician on my feet and a technician on my toes but it wasn’t annoying it was just fast and comfy. I came in with really sore inflamed toes after 2 nights of dancing with my girlfriends. Here comes the gross part if you want the TMI deets on how good they did. The pedicurist did an amazing job getting year-old crust off and polishing up my blisters without popping any of them. The massage left me feeling like I had new feet. I watched them get rid of all the supplies they used on me and thank god y’all. Very sanitary. Very comfortable. Amazing vibe too. Mix of older and younger women, everyone quiet but you could probably make a friend if you’re gregarious like that. The owner came up to a young lady and recognized her, she had just gotten married and the owner stopped to ask about the wedding and look at pictures. The lady doing my nails chatted with me about her family just like the ladies at my moms salon used to do in the 90s in the Midwest. This place doesn’t feel like an NYC nail salon. Feels very home-y. I’ll be back!!!

I got my nails done over 3 weeks ago and am floored — they’re strong and still look great! i did gel nails with chrome for the glazed donut look which is so pretty. will be doing again. well worth the price!

Love this place. They can give you a massage while your nail gel soaks off. Many designs available and they can copy a picture if you send it to them ahead of time. The people are all very kind including the owner. Make sure you are on time, and if getting nail art plan for at least 1 1/2 -2 hours. They are very strict on arriving on time, because it insured everyone else’s appointments are on time. This is my own design-holographic French!

Don’t go here. save your time and your money, got my nails done here less than a week ago and got charged 163 for plain white extensions… just for one to break off at the slightest pressure when i was opening a drawer a few days later… very much a scam, not any higher quality than any other salon, staff is pushy, rushing, and unwelcoming… got explicitly told to tip more when a tip is my own choice in relation to the service i was provided

I’ve been coming to this place ro a while and all the staff is excellent. Though today I was lucky enough to get my nails done by Bianca and I was obsessed 😍😍!! She is amazing and super detailed oriented.

Last day treat to a week in New YorkMyself and my son booked in for pedicures, I also had a manicure. The staff were very professional, the experience was the best one I have ever had. The chairs were massage, the pedicures we had included leg massage. We were offered stress neck massages. The manicurist I had was lovely and friendly. Would certainly recommend

I have been coming here consistently since July 2022. Until recently, I have always been pleased with my manicures but lately the quality of service has gone downhill. Most recently, three (3) nails chipped within 2 days of getting a gel manicure. I called ahead to get this fixed, they told me to come in but once I was at the salon I was told this was not possible since the nail was broken. In the past, they have been more accommodating to fix these mistakes complimentarily (i.e., in April 2023, my nail broke after my manicure and they both re-glued and painted it for me). In this specific instance, the chipped polish caused these nails to break as the nails were weakened without the polish. I was disappointed with how I was treated as a loyal customer and sadly I will have to try out another salon in the neighborhood.

Spa Blue is absolutely wonderful. The women who do the nails are very skilled, the masseuses use a firm hand, and Lucy (the owner) is so incredibly warm and welcoming. I moved all the way uptown (and west) and I still try and come here to get my nails done.

Apparently the ownership changed here about two months ago and they decided to keep the same name, despite making lots of positive changes. A woman named Lucy runs it, and she is an absolute doll. I come in and get tons of TLC and feel like Im hanging out with my second mom. The quality of my shellac manicures is excellent and the environment is calm, clean, and relaxing. The technicians are friendly (and fun!) and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this place.The only suggestion I might make for Lucy (which I will tell her in person when I come in next!) is to consider serving tea if they dont already... which maybe they even do. They have blankets and play soft jazzy piano music, and they offer high quality polish brands (e.g., Butter) Ive rarely see in nail salons. The prices are not a steal but they are reasonable and you get what you pay for- a high quality product and a reliably positive experience. This is my go-to! And Lucy is the best.

If you are looking to have specialty nails done, do check this place out! While I seldom have my own nails done at all, I heard good things about the various kinds of nail art and nail shaping they do. Not the best photo, but the nail technician did a spot on job of replicating a photo Id seen of chrome nails, done with gel and a metallic powder (which reminded me of space colors). Not cheap by any means, but they were very through and worth it for an extra special occasion. Cash gets you a small discount.While I didnt do it this visit, I have also had positive experience with the massage service they offer (they over full massage on the upper floor, and mini massage while your nails are done).A very nice spot, convenient to Union Square! Ill be sure to return the next time I need a mini getaway.

Amazing atmosphere. If you have an appointment they take you right away. They do a great job. My girlfriend has been going here for months now. Prices are a bit high, but its well worth it.

My go-to mail place in the city, I’ve gone for gel and regular manis and pedis, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating (they even have people who will do designs, just make sure you clarify when you book), it’s relatively big and spacious, and very clean.Make sure to call ahead and book in advanced! You will never have a wait problem if you do.

We had a pedicure treatment on a rainy day. Had no reservation, but were lucky to walk in. We are very advanced , since we have had pedicures all around the world.LOVED it!! If I cld make it 10 stars, I would! If you want your hands and feet to look amazing, have any number of choices of polish to nail art, and excellent customer service - then go here. Always love Spa Blue. Usually busy here but they will always work to fit you in. The guy manager is so sweet and runs the business very nicely!! One of my go to places for gel pedicures.

Horrible horrible experience! The owner kept rushing us. We didn’t even have time to pick out and discuss the color. Because of the owners aggressive attitude, the staff had to finish my manicure in a hurry. They made my finger bleed. I dont blame them. Apparently the owner also annoyed them too. The price is too high and NOT worth it at all. I guess this place is for tourists.

Called to see if I could get nail repaired from another place in a different city that broke. They would not let me set an appointment to come in and check to see if they were open to fixing it but said I could stop by and check. Upon coming by, they said it was fine to fix but had to wait 30 mins (which could have been avoided if they let me set an appointment for a consult). The one star however is truly for the price gouging however. They charge 150 for SNS dipping powder which after a very quick search is about 2x the price of anyone else in the area. While the interaction wasn’t pleasant as I felt a quite condensed tone both over the phone and in person, I would really skip this place based on their pricing alone.

Always have a wonderful experience here. My gel manicures from here are spectacular-best I’ve ever had. Everyone pays a lot of attention to detail and ensure your nails look amazing before leaving. Would highly recommend.

I love Spa Blue! I travel from Astoria, Queens to have my nails done here! The price is a little higher, but so is the service! I will gladly pay the price for an excellent manicure! Everyone is very nice and chatty/personable! Most importantly- this salon is super clean!! They sterilize instruments in high temperature heat and open bags fresh for each client! This salon is also full of characters! Everyone is ready to have an awesome conversation! They never rush but are very fast/timely. I can’t wait to bring my mother here!!! They do it right at ‘Spa Blue’!!! Hat’s off!! Always a great experience- worth the extra buck, all day!

I received a mani, pedi, and 60 min massage. My nails still look great after 3 days. I walked in on a Sun morning around 10:30 and they took me in right away for my mani and pedi. I asked if they had an opening for a 60 min massage and they said they did and asked if they could paint my nails after the massage. Simon the massage therapist was able to do a deep tissue massage and significantly reduce my muscle tightness. I appreciated Spa Blue accommodating me before my Broadway play.

This is my favorite nail salon ever! It is incredibly clean, professional and just plain fun! Lucy, the owner/manager, knows her regular customers well and really takes care of you. The staff are all competent and will do whatever is needed to make you feel comfortable and take care of. The massages are wonderful, as well! I cant recommend this salon enough!

Wonderful gel polish manicure! My technician Tina was super attentive, detailed and thorough. It was a bit pricier than other salons Ive tried but its definitely worth it! The salon is very clean and atmosphere is very welcoming. Will be returning!

I love Spa Blue!! Every time I go I have a great time. They recently changed owners, and the positive changes are endless. The staff is so welcoming, and they always do an amazing job with my nails. My gel nails lasted for three weeks, almost four!!! Definitely go to Spa Blue if youre in the area!

My wife and I just had mani pedi treatments here and we both loved them. Our two women were very sweet and did a great job, the spa is clean and seems very well managed. Well definitely be back the next time were in NYC!

I dont normally write reviews, however I think its important to share my experience for others. The location is great and it seemed like a pretty clean place. I was a walk-in and was taken care of promptly. The nail tech was nice and shaped my nails well, however the lasting results of my manicure were unsatisfactory. I ALWAYS get dip powder on my natural nails and it typically lasts about 3 weeks. I am on day 9 and all but 3 nails have popped off. Total waste of $65 (in addition to a $12 tip).

Spa Blue is absolutely amazing! Lucy the manager is so friendly and shows how much she cares for the business and the employees, not to mention the customers. Lucy has a great eye for matching colors to skin tone and interior design as well! She and the other employees go above and beyond for me when I visit.Tips:Amy is my favorite nail tech because of her attention to detail and how gentle she is when cutting cuticles.Grace also gives a great quick massage. I went in to pamper myself after days of hard work and lack of sleep. I was practically asleep during my mani, she came by offered me a 10 minute massage and it gave me so much energy for the rest of my day!

Wonderful establishment. Very sanitary, and welcoming environment. The young lady who did my pedicure was very attentive and sweet but not thorough. I didnt notice till end, but the owner offered to have it fixed for free at my convenience. Ill pay better attention next time, especially since a basic pedicure will set you back $32. Its pretty much worth it. 😊

Good salon for mani and pedi. Quick service especially if you are in a rush. They can do mani and pedi at the same time. They have lots of staff to help out with ample seating. Prices are a bit on the higher side but it’s fair for the location as it’s right by union square.

I went here a few weeks ago and forgot to write a review. The owner/manager was so sweet and made me feel super welcome. There was a wide variety of gel colors (trendy and classic), and the facility was very clean and peaceful.

I love Spa Blue! I couldn’t get to my regular nail salon before I left home, so decided to try Spa Blue, once I arrived in New York, which is near the hotel I’m staying. Lucy is very welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. I watched Lucy and some of the staff experiment and test methods to make a manicure last longer. It was impressive. Wendy did the ‘dip powder nails’ for me and it’s beautiful. She is a perfectionist who kept working to be sure it was exactly right. I can’t stop looking at my hands now!

The service and workmanship by the cosmetics was excellent! Everything was clean and they spent plenty of time on our mani/pedis. But after we paid and tipped all three ladies, the owner chased us down on the sidewalk about three buildings east to ask if we tipped properly. This created a very odd and uncomfortable experience. Despite the excellent work done by the ladies, well be looking for other establishments in the future due to the owners awkward behavior.

I come here once a month and have an amazing experience at Spa Blue. Today was not a great experience. There was a woman whom I never seen before her name is Gina. Gina made the atmosphere far less than like a calm spa experience like it normally is. Gina was loud and disrupted the customers who come for a spa experience. As soon as she walked into the salon she was pacing back and forth, up and down the stairs in the salon, talking loudly on her cell phone. You can immediately tell she disrupted the other customers as well, as they kept looking at her. Gina, you seem like a lovely person but please be more mindful to the customers who come to the spa looking for a quite spa experience.

Best gel manicure in the area! All of their technicians are fabulous and the massage therapists are worth the extra $$ for a 10+ minute massage while getting your other services done. My go to place!

I usually get the powder gel (aka dipping powder/ nexgen) nails done by my work in midtown east. My friend stumbled upon this place and wanted me to come along for the first time. That was on Thursday, it’s now Monday and most of my nails are cracking and chipped. I’ve done this process a LOT and know the steps; the ladies were really nice, but they did not know the right way to do this nail process and missed one entire layer/ step of nail polish. I even told them and they brushed it off. Now it’s been 4 days and all the nails are breaking. These usually last me at LEAST 2.5 weeks. I won’t be going back for this service. My friends regular manicure turned out nice. They also charge $10 more than I usually pay. Made me appreciate my other place so much more.

So I was visiting friends and family in NYC on Saturday (6/29) and we went to get SNS manis and pedis. The place is very nice. On Sunday evening (6/30), I noticed my toe nails were chipped. By the end of the day Monday (7/1), two of my SNS nails had chipped. I notice a sign that says they guarantee their work but since I live in DC that options seems a quite inconvenient.Update: The work is guaranteed! Spa Blue did give me a refund on my services due to me not living in NYC. I appreciate the effort to make it right.

Every time I go to this place I have excellent service. The manager is very welcoming and accommodating. I got the gel manicure last time I was there and it lasted over 3 weeks.. nearly 4! The salon is very clean. I recommend this place for a great experience 👍

Very upscale nail spa. Went in for a massage. I have to say it was a very good deep tissue massage. Although it help take most of mine neck pain away there still was some but much better than when I enter. Very clean place and music they play is very relaxing.

This place is a total rip off. I’m talking ultimate robbery. They charged me $65 for a SNS manicure. Just the manicure no cuticle cutting of anything extra. Please avoid this establishment at all costs. Absolutely unbelievable crooks. Not even telling me how much it was until my card was swiped. What a nightmare.

I got my acrylics off here and the lady used a metro card to pop the acrylics off. She charged me $20 for this service and after I complained to the Manager, she stated this was the normal way and it that was the cost. FYI, I googled and went to another salon after to ask, it is better for your nail to shave the acrylic down and soak it in acetone.

Place was clean but terrible gel manicure. Polish on my cuticles. Poorly shaped nails. When I asked for specific things to be fixed the lady didn’t really understand. I am looking for my new nail place and this isn’t going to be it. I can guarantee this gel won’t last two weeks and it’s more damaging for my nails to have it redone somewhere else.

Started out ok. guy spent 2+ hours doing the dip nails on hands and gel on feet. This was on Thursday, went to a wedding and by Tuesday most of them had lifted off my nail beds. considering I couldnt get to a nail salon to fix, I took them off myself and now nails are ruined. Also the gel on my feet is coming off. For the price I paid this should not be happening!!! beware!

Been going here for over a year and I decided to change from SNS to gel on my nails and they tried to charge me an extra $20 not $5 for removal- even though the SNS was done by them! Wasted my time and loyalty going to this place. Will not come back.

I went here to get a gel mani/pedi. $42 for the mani/$30 for pedi and $15 extra for a 10 minute massage (enails on 32/Park have a gel mani/pedi for $55.00 an $10 for a 10 min massage). Jenny literally massaged my legs for 1 minute total (not per leg) as part of the regular pedicure, are you serious! Expensive for limited service!

They have some nerve charging $25 for a 12 minute manicure with no polish...will never be coming back here.
