Savoy Orlando

Josh and the staff of Savoy did an amazing job helping me make my partner’s birthday unforgettable this year. The appetizers and setup were delicious and perfect for the occasion. I have been going to Savoy Orlando since 2006 or 2007 when my friends would gather there for karaoke with Dame Edna… I’ve always been able to rely on strong, reasonably priced cocktails, cute go-go boys, and entertaining events and talent to keep the night interesting! The drag shows are fierce, and there are bingo, trivia, burlesque and other fun events throughout the week.

Decent male gogos wish some were buffer but happy to see they are open to various body types. Drag show was entertaining and bartenders were quick with service. Will come back again

I took my brother there for his birthday. Ive never been to this place, and when I tell you we had such a great time. The drag show was amazing. The atmosphere was awesome. Everybody was very friendly. And well definitely be back.

Extremely Rude bartenders. Kept waiting to be served. Too busy talking to each other. Then the bartenders cleared out except pink tank top shirt guy.Was not even busy. I got there around 845 PM. Especially the one that had on a pink tank top at the main bar. After he continued ignoring me, i walked out and told him the service was terrible here. I then went to the small room bar. He comes looking for me. Comes and pats my leg. Said honey, I was on break. The other bartender was in the rest room, then walks away. He could have said something instead of seeing me continuing to wait for a drink. But he could come from behind the bar and start talking with customer friends that wanted to tell him something right next to me🙄 I started feeling awkward standing there. Then he told other bartenders. The one in the small room bar became very rude to me the rest of the night. Tall dark hair guy.When I received my tab, I know I was over charged.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Savoy Orlando and the genuineness of the staff. Thank you for making my event memorable in a very special way. Savoy Orlando is welcoming and the sincerity of their employees shines through during every interaction. This was far from my first experience at Savoy and it definitely won’t be my last. The way the bartenders charges you is based on how cute you look which is discrimination. I was with my husband, my best friend and my mother. We were all coated different prices for the same drink. When asked to speak to the manager, he took the sides of the bartenders and decided to tell us we had to leave. When we asked for his name he did not provide his name and definitely will not go back.

Came today in evening (630pm) because Im new to the area and seeing the options. I was approached by the bartender asking to see my license to make sure I was 21+ (Im 24). I was then kicked out (along with my friend who is 24+) because he believed my ID was fake because of how young I look.This place needs to invest in ID scanners because theres no reason to be kicked out for looking young and I have a valid license proving my age

The best judgment free bar I’ve found. Sunday walked in they had free hamburgers and hotdogs for customers. Brendan had made the absolute best pasta salad I’ve ever had! Definitely would recommend to anybody visiting Orlando or anybody who is an Orlando local.

I absolutely love it here, I go at least three times a week with my husband. The vibe and the service is exceptional. Our favorite bartender Vinnie C is the best at his trade.

I love it here I have beautiful memories and encounters here is a fun place everyone is very nice friendly and welcoming environment.

Thank you, Savoy, for hosting the free vaccination event Saturday afternoon. (Florida DOH provided the Hep A & meningococcal vaccines.) And when youre not getting vax-jabbed, Savoy has a cool vibe, great music, nicely priced cocktails and lots of fun people to talk to. Plus before/after, you can browse the interesting stores up and down Orange Avenues antique row.

This place is def a great spot to hang enjoyed the music and atmosphere thank you Jorge C for your great hospitality we were from out of town and this bar was great for a night out!

The music is awful. The latino area only plays reggaeton (The worst kind of reggaeton). I asked if they play salsa, merengue or any other latin rhythm and I was told that they only play whatever they want to play. They were very rude and dismissive. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Music was good, Latin night. But staff wasn’t really engaging with customers as much, made it feel like we were bothering them vs feeling welcome and lively. I would give them place a 2nd try maybe it was a one night off.

Really loved this place! The staff was super nice and friendly. The food they had was good. More of a bar food setup. Atmosphere was fun. I am only giving 3 stars because the locals did not give welcoming hospitality. I came from Texas and found this online looked cool and it was recommended by some friends. Overall, I really liked it, but none of the locals welcomed or even spoke to us. Would have been nice to not feel like an outsider.

Recommend this spot. Unlike other venues who are greedy owners with covers and same drag show and hosts everyday of week with no originality. Even during the week. A cover on Monday and Tuesday’s and Thursdays at other dance venues. No thanks! Savoy— This place is legit and never charges a crazy cover charge even on busy weekends. I respect that. Recommend , decent prices and decent dance floor good music. If they remain no cover charge policy; They will continue to succeed. And the white door guy checking id always has a smile on his face and is welcoming unlike attitude at other lgbtq venues

Honestly one of my favorite places to go. All the employees are always very friendly, helpful and kind. Definitely a no judgement type of place, the crowd is nice too. The drinks are really good and they always have specials. I love the drag shows it is always a fun time. They recently renovated/re-decorated and it looks really nice!

Wow ok. Passed up 3 times at the bar. Someone squeezed in front of me to get service, they ignored me, served them, then went and served everyone else until the bar was all served and then came back to me after having a conversation with coworkers first... racist a bit?? I dunno.. I regret leaving a tip at all. To be clear it was at the first bar (where you enter) not the back bar. Back bar was great!

Good atmosphere! People are getting better being nice. Bartenders are really great. They had an event to raise money which was a great effort. Raised a lot for a good cause. Keep it up and be a great fundraising time. Have fun with it. Thank you for a great night. Its is a good bar to go to. Always something to look forward too even after a bad day.

I went there with my partner and we’re from LA. We had a blast, and everyone is so nice and welcoming. The music was upbeat and the crowd was fun. Definitely heading back to the Savoy.

Savoy Orlando is an amazing venue. They have been great about hosting all sorts of events from Celebrity Bartender, to Fringe Shows, to political organization meetups (like Rainbow Dems). I wish every business was as tied into the community as Savoy. Thank you!

Just left savoy because the bartender was cocky and dumped our drinks while my husband was in the bathroom and I was talking to a friend at the table across from us. I asked him why he threw our drinks out and he responded in a cocky tone of voice that it was the bars policy. He knew I was talking right across from our table. He should had asked me before throwing the drinks out when they were both almost full.

Good signature drinks, and strong pours. The drag show was short and sweet, and the hostess made me feel very special. Gogo dancers are 🔥

Ok local gay bar with affordable drinks.

I’m new to Orlando and started looking for a new hang out. This place was great. Very busy and a lot going on. Only issue was one bartender stood there and wouldn’t help us get drinks but helped a couple girls that came after us. Seemed like a jerk too.

Best club & bar in town and best drag shows in Orlando. The management and the staff are so amazing cause they do take care of their guests

Visiting from out of town..Went on Sunday night and had a great time. Enjoyed the drag show. Had $2 long islands. The whole place had friendly energy and the vibe was really welcoming. Will return the next time we vacation in Orlando.

Very clicky and worst drag show you’ve ever seen. One night thay had a drag queen with a cast on her foot performing. I miss the Parliament House! Davinci Cafe has a great drag show on Tuesdays in Deland.

Bar staff was helpful, but went for a drag show that read for tonights date at 7pm on Eventbrite and other event sites. Turns out, it wasnt until 11pm which is a longer time off than the event sites stated. Left sadly because waiting 4 hours wasnt really enjoyable.As a drag artist who has run events in their town before, nothing turns away an audience than mis information. Very let down tonight.

I have been going to Savoy for many years. The staff is amazing and always make you feel welcome. The clientele range from older folks to early twenties. The prices are more than reasonable. It truly is my favorite neighborhood bar - with Chandeliers!

First time going to Savoy, pretty cool space. Drag show was a little tight in the room next to the main bar. People were nice. Bathrooms were a little dirty. For one beer and a mixed drink was about 11.50$ which isn’t bad, compared to some other places. Parking was horrible. If you’re worried about covid and people not wearing masks DO NOT go here. Hardly no one wore a mask even the bartenders were mask less.

Great place, in from out of town the staff are amazing and friendly and the family of patrons are also equally amazing. Felt like home within 5 minutes. I will be returning any time within a couple hours of Orlando. Thank you to the Savoy family for such a great evening...

One of the first clubs I went to upon moving to Orlando, 17 years ago. There have been changes through the years but the place is always welcoming and hassle free. This is Orlando, there are gay bars in town that treat the majority as losers waiting to get into Studio 54. Savoy welcomes all people, straight gay any race. The only gay bar in Orlando with drag shows, a dance floor and never a cover.Far surpasses any other option in Orlando.Chantel is truly one of the kindest people I have ever meet. So welcoming.Savoy is everything a gay bar should be, that sanctuary, free from judgement, a chosen family,I don’t always go clubbing but when I do I choose Savoy.

I love this place. My last birthday was there and it was one of the best experience in my intire life. All staff are great! The music, the environment, the drinks, and food. Everything!!! I highly recommend this amazing night club which is great for happy hour as well!!!

I really used to enjoy this bar, but lately SOME of the bartenders have made it an unpleasant experience. It’s seems like you have to fit their personal standards of whatever in order for you to get service. Max had to have been the WORSE bartender I’ve ever encountered! Such a horrible attitude! He over looked me and my friend multiple time and then when we finally got him to help us, he was absolutely rude! But it was interesting seeing him interacting so pleasantly with other guess. Would be different had I been rude to him at any point, but we had just walked in and received this treatment It’s sad that safe spaces for queer people in Orlando are turning into spaces where you still find levels of discrimination.

I would love to see the actual sign and/or place that your bar has VISIBLE a “no backpack policy”I came here for a drink after work, I take the bus, I don’t have a car.I’m literally paying for alcohol and the meth’d out bartender decided to tell me I needed to leave because I had a backpack on and there’s a “no backpack policy”We have literally only 3 gay bars in this city and this meth den doesn’t need any more of my business.

Great spot to for an easy night out with some good music and dancing. Feels safe and homey enough to drink the night away but still keeps the fun clubby dancing atmosphere.The back porch is laid back and so much fun. EVERYONE is super friendly.

Service was fast but I didn’t like the size of the drinks, too small for a $7 drink, I also didn’t like how was greeted by the owner or manager I guess, he literally ignored me while I answered him something, he kept talking to my friend instead of answered me back, he came asking me where I am from instead of introducing himself first. How rude!!

Savoy is a nice bar to go to at the beginning of a night out on the town; get s few drinks, have some good conversation with friends, new people, or whomever youre there with. Theres two inside bar areas and one outside covered patio bar. The two inside bars are different from one another as one is smaller, quieter, has some bar games, and even though it has a few hightop tables, its more for standing. The other larger bar has a video DJ towards the back with a long bar running along one side of the room with tables all along the opposite wall. There are usually dancers there, especially on certain themed nights & on the weekends.

We had a great time. Bartenders were amazing and the crowd was friendly. Cant wait to go back!!

This place I have frequented every time I come to Orlando, and have always enjoyed. Unfortunately this time around I was kinda disappointed. I normally arrive there with friends who have never been there and I am always treated with a great welcome by the bartender named Danny who is alway so attentive to all his customers which is awesome.. I went there on Friday the 2nd of October and he was not there for what ever reason, which was understandable. Sorry to say service was not the same. I again went on Saturday the 3rd of October, with a group of 12 people. Was lucky to see that Danny was there and greeted me and my friends as I normally am. My issue this night was the DJ. How an a DJ who is working at a place where there are so many people from different cultures that go there, tell one of my guest, when she asked him if he could play some Latin music beside the one that he was playing respond with such a asinine remark! THIS IS NOT A LATIN CLUB!!! Well, I am very aware that it is not a Latin club, but I also know the you have of all types of culture that visit the place. Why would it had been so hard to accommodate a few Latin mixes to all that was being played and have everyone happy, instead of a response like the one he gave. A Real DJ would have have done so!!! Beside that he looked as if he should be retired playing the music that he was playing. He really left a very sour taste , that I will never take any group of friends there again!!!! I do know that I will go back myself, but will not recommend anyone from my part!!! Sorry but just had to say what I was thinking and feeling!

Security ignored a patron flashing my friend and i, along with another patron forcing a drink into my mouth (i do not drink alcohol, let alone from strangers) back in julyalong with that security enforce “dress codes” unfairly on female-presenting patrons (particularly regarding nipples or perceived nudity) while full on having gogo dancers wearing nothing except underwear and male guests not having this rule enforced equally (seen plenty of men shirtless/with nipples showing)… not a safe queer space for femmes, spend your money at other gay clubs

For a gay bar, this place is unnecessarily dark with the black painted windows. I, personally, find this outdated in todays age, especially Orlando. Would love to see a solid upgrade of the bar. Better lighting, better seating, etc, anything to make it stand out against Southern Nights or Stonewall. Would love to see a lounge style with a wide selection of beers/liquors as, since its in the Mills area, it needs to compete with the bars there, too.

So many rooms!!! The pretzel sticks are amazing and so the the blanco queso! Both a must try! Fun spot for Saturday Day Drinking! Can’t wait to see it at night!!

Half as bad as Southern Nights. Another gay club in Orlando where the owner is scraping money off of the backs of the gay community. The security/staff, bartenders and drag queens get paid minimum while the owner lines his pockets with money. There is Zero concern for the Pandemic with minimum sanitation procedures if any at all. I don’t understand what the deal is with Gay clubs here not doing any fundraising for the gay community. Sunday afternoon karaoke is so much fun. Great positive atmosphere with impeccable service. Everyone is welcome and good times always.

I havent been there yet but I certainly will update this review when I go there in a few weeks. I wanted to remark about a review from jay Mun. Be positive. Dont punish Danny because of the DJ. Being a former DJ, the most irritating thing one can do to a DJ is make a request. When I am spinning, what you hear is about 5 songs back from what Ive decided to play. If youre mixing BPMs (beats per minute), you practice and practice and have intros and exits on your mind and having to fit in a request break your concentration and your rhythm. Its a performance... a show and you certainly wouldnt walk up to someone on a stage - like Adele, and say can you sing this or that?. I agree with you - the DJ handled the situation all wrong - even if he was having a bad day. He should have done what I do... smile, say sure, I can try go get that in for you., and if they come back later because you didnt play their song, you say, Sorry I couldnt fit it in, Sorry I ran out of time, or Sorry, I forgot...and follow it up with, but if you come back tomorrow, youll be giving me another chance to do the right thing and work it in for you... Brings them back for another round of drinks, etc.... And **IF** Im working and **IF** I really wanted to play their request, I would take some time out in the afternoon and really TRY to find a way .. a segment where I can lead to and lead from to get it in. So, people DO NOT ASK THE DJ FOR REQUESTS...and DJs, BE NICE... THEY ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS WITHOUT WHOM YOU WOULDNT HAVE A JOB.

This is not a Latin club even on a Sunday night so not sure why it would come up as one on Google. There is no real dance floor unless I missed something and the 2 people that seemed to be the only ones working were more interested in talking with each other than serving the 5 people that were there. Waste of time and Im sure the other nights are just as boring. This place is for the dead and the misfits.

Worst experience ever. The wings were cold and had mold on them, the bar staff took a drink out of a bottle then served guest shots from it, and one had their phone out during work while serving people. Never again!

Went to Savoy for the first time last night (thursday @12:30), my friend and i sat away from the crowd(of 4). We got ignored after a few minutes we moved next to the crowd. The bartender walked pass us and went to the other room. We left without getting served. Then went to Stonewall and had 2 bartenders greet us. I bought 5 drinks and my friend had 3 beers. I guess Savoy doesnt want our money, no worries there are better gay bars in Orlando. Wont be back...

I been coming here since I moved to Orlando in 2019. I got an birthday email from savoy in August during the COVID-19. I ask can I redeem it they told me that they don’t accept those anymore. They have ruled customers service no one offer to assist me. I will not be returning to savoy Orlando.

In my opinion the best gay spot in Orlando. No cover charge, go go boys, cheap drinks, great staff and clientele. Where everyone goes to start off a night of club hopping, especially on Sundays.

Came here once..two bartenders totally took there time to get to me and my friend.the bar was empty but only like 7 people at the bar so I’m sure they noticed us. They were to busy talking among themselves. It was filled with old men.only played one genre of music,no flavor in here.

When i got to the bar and it was getting busy i move to other part of the bar but i was not allowed to pay for my drinks and leave my card in one part of the bar and move to where it is more busy and keep drinking i would have to close my tab then go more drink where it is more busyer....... The owner should update there system and there shows sucked.......
