This is my 3rd time coming here and it was not at all like the first 2. We walked in around 5 something and looked like they were dead. Okay I get that it’s a slow day. As I walk in, silence. No greeting or anyone telling us to sit or order food at the bar. We had to idea what to do till another group came in and were also confused. They were told to order at the bar.. cool we did that.. we came for the happy hour 3-4-1 drinks… the lady said we only do 2-4-1 drinks so I’m like okay that’s false advertising but I’ll take the 2-4-1 but still charged me for the 2 instead of 1. So we just decided to finish our drink and move somewhere else. The people working there need to be retaught or replaced. Sorry but I see why the place was empty.
We went for happy hour on a Friday and the happy hour special was 2 to 1. Buy one get one free drinks. We had 3 margaritas and a nachos appetizer. The total was $$120!! This was HAPPY HOUR PRICES! The manager said there was a $15 gratuity built in, $15 for nachos, and the normal price for the margaritas is $32!!!!! And the happy price is $16!!!! This is not Eddy V’s margaritas. This is house margaritas. If you’re looking for a happy hour in Orlando, don’t stop here! RUN AWAY FAST!!! You’ve been warned!
I’m never one to leave a review but wow only gave it 1 star because I couldn’t rate it a 0. To start, our waiter was very rude and never saw him again after he took our orders. One of our water pitchers came with a bug in the water and a strand of hair nicely placed on the pitcher. For being the only people in the restaurant, it was a nice surprise to see that our food took over an hour just for it to be extremely disappointing. One of our burgers came very burnt (mind that it wasn’t even a full burger patty, just a slider patty in the form of a burger), I ordered the roasted vegetable salad and it was an appetizing bowl of lettuce because that was all I got, and my boyfriends chicken sandwich and fries came cold, only thing we enjoyed where the hoagies. Overall, I don’t regret coming here just to let everybody else know not to waste their time.
My girlfriend and I ate here on a recent date night hoping for a romantic dinner before seeing the symphony, but in the end left pretty let down. For starters the place was dead when we got there at 6. More on this later. The menu online didnt match at all what we were shown at the restaurant. Less than half of the dishes available on the online menu were on offer for dinner. We waited 20 minutes for a glass of wine before I went up to the bar and just got it myself. The shrimp app that we ordered tasted like they were fried with the shell on, and were also cooked well beyond the point of edibility. The Caesar salad she ordered was absolutely drenched in dressing, to the point the veggies were wilting on the sauce. The croutons tasted ok though.Speaking of sauce, she ordered the shrimp linguine and the sauce was completely separated when it arrived at the table, 45 minutes after we ordered it.I ordered the steak tips cooked medium and they arrived both burnt to a crisp and also somehow Kentucky blue rare. What appeared to be either a manager of the chef came out to the table to check on us, and my guy appeared high as a kite, or tired, or something, but he was not looking good.Like I said before, this place was not busy on a Saturday night so were not real sure what happened here. Our waitress did comp the inedible apps, and seemed apologetic. All in all, this place was quite a let down and we definitely wont be back. Its a shame, because the location does have a lot of potential. Also bonus points to the 2 random dudes just hanging out living their best lives in the mens restroom. Really added to the ambiance.
Reading some of the older reviews - that was not the experience I had at Ember during my Sunday brunch but to each is own I guess. 🤷🏽♀️For example, the food and drinks were brought out to us, the barman was very attentive and brought another bubbly right on time as our bottle was running low, our waiter brought our food out instead of us waiting inside for it. Everyone was always attentive and ready to clear out the table or give extra napkins, silverware, whatever we needed at any given time.Drina was very friendly and attentive. Overall, a very welcoming atmosphere, they dont rush you. Manager even comes over to do a wellness check to ensure youre having a great time, making the food and everything is great. Had a great time, the hours flew by!Absolutely recommended!
Went here for taco week and man has this place has gone down!! I used to come here a long time ago and it was decent. We got here and sat at the bar for quicker service. (Bad idea). It was hot and humid as they keep the door open and their AC unit couldn’t keep up with the heat and humidity. multiple servers then keep ignoring my wife and I while attending multiple people around us.When were about to walk out a lady. Im guessing a manager took our order and then pawned us on the guy that had previously ignored us.The order took forever I’m guessing because the guy typed in the wrong order as we were offered other food which we didn’t order.Eventually got our food and asked for the bill. The bartender had given himself a hefty 10+ dollar tip and somehow forgot to give use the breakdown copy.Bartender somehow came up with another receipt that was much lower but still included an 18% tip.. I rounded his tip to 20% but I didn’t appreciate he added his tip without asking.Place sucks and they will steal your money if you arent paying attention.. so always ask for the breakdown as these guys will tip themselves hefty even when providing mediocre service
The experience was completely different from my last 3 visits. The buffet was mediocre at best, missing alot of basics and stop we s. Use to have meats and such... no longer and no one came to the table for assistance except the bar tender. He was the best part of the day. Will jot be returning. Was excited yo go and bring friends.
We made an online reservation for an early dinner because we had tickets to a show at the Kia Center. When we arrived, we spoke with someone at the door that we assumed was the host and they said to check with the bar regarding reservations. After about 10 min of waiting for someone to acknowledge us, the bartender said she needed to speak to the manager. He then needed to check with the kitchen to see if they could accommodate us! Apparently they had some sort of pub crawl event that evening and were not planning on serving dinner. This was a huge waste of our time and we were almost late for our show after trying to scramble and get in to another restaurant in time. I will say the manager did agree to honor our reservation and set up a table for us, but at that point, not only were they playing extremely loud club music, we also didnt trust what would be coming out of that kitchen. If they had another event happening, we should have never been able to make an online reservation. This is a beautiful restaurant in a great location. Hopefully they either get new management, or someone else needs to buy it and do something better! Huge disappointment!
Front of house was completely disorganized. Our poor host was also our waiter and our bartender...maybe even our cook? There wasnt a shortage of staff but everyone was doing everything and tripping over one another. We sat just before 5, didnt get drinks for almost 20 minutes and didnt get food until well past 6pm. Over an hour for 3 appetizer. We saw two couples walk out and numerous others waiting forever, just like us. We had heard the food was good, and when it finally arrived, it was but not worth the crazy wait.It wasnt even that busy, place was less than half full. They need to step up their game. Unfortunately, I wont be back to find out if they do and dont recommend anyone else goes unless they dont have anywhere else to be and dont mind waiting...and waiting....and waiting. Drinks were good but overpriced as well.
Visited here from out of town. Let me start by saying I paid $250 for a bootleg section and the girl holding the sign bringing out the bottle didn’t even smile just DRY‼️ The wings was trash I had to go home put them in the air fryer and rub all that death of lemon pepper seasoning off!! Only thing good was our server she was a doll.
Went for brunch and the pancakes were okay but the add on for the pancakes, my portion had hard glass like crumbs in it so I had to toss that. Only about half the food was really edible. The mimosas were good but they need to step uo from a 5$ bottle of champagne to maybe an $8 bottle because thats what a college kid would drink and we werent so much about it. If anything charge a but more.Staff was friendly and tried their best but sadly only 2 staff for the whole place (50 people or so). So service was poor due to ratios, not effort.Probably wont be back since theres better less expensive brunches with real champagne.
My first time there and I fell in love! The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and Ive never seen a more beautiful staff! This is not your normal breakfast buffet, they even have mac and cheese and shrimp and grits! An omelet made fresh to order and a waffle station makes it complete as well as the fruit bar. Mimosas are presented like bottle service and the playlist is top tier! I will definitely be returning!
Food was cold from the rice to the potatoes, and the fried chicken. The chicken did not have any flavor and the potatoes were hard probably from the night before. The orange juice was bitter, I asked for coffee because it was brunch but did not have any. It was a treat for Mother’s Day but a no go. For heath reasons etc when you serve buffet style the food needs to maintain a steady temperature.
I had a pretty good time. Again, I have low expectations so I was thinking it would be a normal experience and it was actually nice. The DJ was nice, we got a section which was nice. the weather was sunny and most importantly, the ratio is right.
I believe the best way to approach this business is a bar lounge. However as a restaurant, you would better off visiting another business if you value your time, taste buds, and money. Their food is mid, cold, and takes too long to arrive. They fail at providing the basics such as having silverware available at the table when you arrive to each. If you want service, you will have continually ask the staff and remind them to get what you want. Do not show up at posted hours. Arrive and schedule reservations an hour later since they do not have their food or service ready when the restaurant opens. Again, it is better as a bar lounge.
The bartender still they will charge you more in the inside of the building than the outside and they will give you half a shot instead of an entire shot!! Not to mention they will alter the pricing on card transactions!! I normal have a section and bottle but this time it was over booked and I still went to to charge my card 41.00 instead of 11 got along island she charged me 18 then add an additional 23 dollars for a tip !! And it’s not all the bars but the white bartender in the front that on the right towards the back of the counter !!
Wine down Wednesday is absolutely falsely advertised.- They had 1 pitcher of white and 1 pitcher of red, and that was all for the night. There were no servers replenishing the drinks, and no self serve options, these pitchers were never replaced, pretty sure that was all they had for the night which is why they didn’t care to refill drinks.- The DJ left mid set and they turned on a TV channel for music.Everything about this place is below mediocre. If you’re expecting quality, all you can drink wine, this is the last place I’d ever consider.I wish I could give less than a single star. The idea is great, but it’s obvious that they don’t gaf about execution, it’s probably the worst event for your week, I recommend you not go. (You absolutely do not pay to get your moneys worth, in fact you’re ripped off.)
Very disappointed! During Covid this was my go to spot. I’m not sure if it’s new management. But whoever is is. Needs to make ember great again. Drink prices are ridiculously high! Bartenders have there back to customers talking to each other. Bad attitude. Went for hatian flag day. High prices. Do better.
At first seems to be a layed back atmosphere whith the thick aroma of cannabis as it seems to be a penalty free zone with what It seemed to be a normal day to day operation until you get to leave and the orange county police department decides to harass patrons upon departure they claim to smell cannabis and demand people to stop so they can search them unlawfully as I did with an officer Kerr holding a gun to my face demanding me to not move while he searches me and clearly working with ember to get its patrons arrested and I highly recommend to visit another close by club with plenty of entertainment that doesnt include a pair of shiny bracelets that only get a jumpsuit to match.
What a letdown!! My family and I have been going to Ember for Sunday brunch at least 1 x year since 2018. This time, it was NOT worth the 1+ hour drive. The food was cold, the quality was less than mediocre, and the service was horrible. Let me not forget the chairs and tables are falling apart. I had to ask the server to trade 2 chairs in my table because they werent functioning, and his response was, They are old. I live close to a golf resort that is about 5 minutes from my house, which has an exeptional Sunday brunch, yet I chose to drive to Ember because of the ambiance. I guess today was my last trip to Ember.
In town for the weekend & decided to visit Ember before getting on the highway. I thought it was going to be a good experience but the stacks of plates weren’t clean & the food was burnt. I actually ordered mimosas & sangria but after going to the waffle station to have my waffle made I requested them remove the drinks. We paid for the food since we had started eating & left. The waffle was already sitting on the waffle maker & served to me as pictured. I was actually served after someone in line behind me. No idea why but I wasn’t interested in making it a issue so we just left. The drinks looked like they would’ve been good. The macaroni & cheese was also burnt. The biscuits were burnt. The prices on the menu need to be updated as they were told to us higher. All in all I hoped for a much better experience. I hope they use the review to correct these issues for future patrons.
We went for the Sunday brunch buffet. Definitely worth every penny. You get unlimited mimosas and breakfast/lunch buffet 10a-3p for $30/person plus automatic gratuity. We got there early and had our pick of seating that wasnt already reserved. There is a hot table, a cold bar, and a pancake and omlett station. The selection and variety of syrups was devine. My favorite was the salted caramel whiskey maple syrup. My fiance loved the bourbon maple syrup. They also had a few sugar free jellys and turkey meat options. You can dine in or outside. Great for a date or for friends meeting up.
Chef Brian was amazing!!!! Food was very delicious. Everything!! Our waitress Drina was very attentive and professional. What a beautiful experience for a Sunday brunch. Beautiful atmosphere. Highly reccomend
Went for brunch. New managed has changed the menu. The food was not worth the price before the management change. It definitely is not worth it now either. Food was overcooked, out for a long period of time, and had to make my own waffle. Omelet bar and bruschetta plate gone. For drinks, you have to go to the bar to refill your bottomless drink. It has been a years long tradition to come here and have brunch with old coworkers, we all have said we need to find a new place.
Went on Friday night...10pm. The DJ was playing pre-recorded music. Definitely wasnt djing, blending, nothing. Bartenders were the best part of the evening. And the drinks were not expensive. Lastly, there wasnt a dress code. Ppl had full size backpacks, bonnets, flip flops, etc.
Sadly I didnt take many pictures but Ive been here so many times. Its such a wonderful place. Amazing atmosphere and its in a great location. My only problem is they add auto-gratuity to everything. Even if you order one drink, theres like an 18% 20 percent gratuity added 😑 You dont even notice until after you pay. They dont tell you 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏾♀️ Other than that, its great.
I’m not one to be a Karen but this place had me PISSED. I never had a waiter come to our table and never got my waffle but it’s even worse because there was automatic gratitudity for this terrible service. The French toast were so stiff and weren’t warm . The bathroom has mold and while using the bathroom there was a puddle of bleach which dyed my pants. The only person that was actually doing their job was the omlette guy.😭
Visiting from Canada had a great time. Music was exactly what I needed. Good people good vibes!! Didnt eat anything just came for some drinks
Went on Wine Down Wednesdays... it was a great atmosphere, but I was not properly prepared for how it works. First, I didn’t pre-register, so it was like $10 more at the door. Also, I didn’t like the food offered on the buffet and was gone fast. I didn’t mind that, however, it was nearly impossible to get service if you want something from the menu. So, unless you pre-pay and ok with microwaved taquitos, be ready to be disappointedThe unlimited drink special was good, but um... limited by their choice of white or red sangria and champagne 🤷♂️ and also limited by the servers who would be willing to pay attention to you after they felt you’ve waited enough. And even though I tipped and came back to same server, it was just too many people trying to get a refill at once.I still tried to have a good time and also eventually was able to order off the menu. That food was great! And shout out to the man working that area that got the fans on for us. It was terribly hot and humid, but we had to ask for them to be put on 🤷♂️Lastly, parking is minimum $10
Im so disappointed after been here again because all the food was bad and another thing is most of the food was frozen food. I was here before and everything was fresh and Good food also they take the cheese and fruits bar away because according with the employees they loosing money and they take it away. I personally dont recommend this place they changed and ruined the place.
Exceptional Service and Outstanding Cuisine at Embers RestaurantThis is a month late, but no less heartfelt! My friends and I visited in April for my birthday. Ember Restaurant in Orlando, Florida, exceeded all expectations, thanks to the incredible efforts of Chef Brian and Drina, our waitress. Having been to Embers before, I was pleasantly surprised by the noticeable difference in quality and service this time around. On a particularly busy Sunday brunch, when other cooks had called in, Chef Brian single-handedly kept the food flowing with remarkable efficiency and skill. Despite the pressure of managing the entire kitchen alone, every dish he prepared tasted absolutely wonderful. His ability to handle multiple dishes simultaneously while maintaining consistency is a true testament to his expertise and dedication.Drina, our waitress, went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Despite not being assigned to our table, she took the initiative to ensure that my friends and I were well taken care of. Her attention to detail and proactive approach ensured that every aspect of our meal was perfect. What truly touched me was Drinas thoughtfulness in recognizing Chef Brians hard work and dedication. Despite the chaos of the busy brunch service, she made sure to bring him out so we could personally convey our appreciation directly to him, showing her genuine care for her colleagues and the overall dining experience. It speaks volumes about her dedication to both her co-workers and the customers. Thanks to the outstanding efforts of Chef Brian and Drina, my birthday brunch with my friends was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend Embers Restaurant to anyone seeking exceptional cuisine and impeccable service in Orlando. Kudos to Chef Brian, Drina, and the entire team for making our visit truly phenomenal.
Food was horrible and no options for people who can’t eat large amounts of food!! No menu available until 4:00 pm (website doesn’t tell you this). So if you don’t want the buffet there are no other options for food! The omelette station was a joke. It took an extremely long time, so the birthday girl spent most of her time in lines! The bacon was raw, the cheese had mold on it . The one star is for our table attendant, she was amazing and very accommodating. She rocks! That was my first and last time going to Ember Brunch! For $30 it’s not worth it!!! For the money you guys need to step it up with your food and offer a menu (small plates...appetizers). Don’t waste your time.
The food was drier than the sahara desert! DO NOT get the steak skewers, had to ask for more water after taking 1 bite. One of the cooks came out and told my friend who was with me that they dropped his shrimp scampi dish and he had to wait another 30 minutes for his food. They didn’t even compensate him for the delay at all! Btw we came at 8pm, the place is empty, I couldn’t even imagine how long the wait would be if there were people here at this time. I got the weakest margarita in my life that it actually sobered me up. I understand now why people don’t come here for dinner. They should focus on making this place a decent bar instead of a restaurant, they’d probably be more popular and get better reviews. Please avoid this place AT ALL COSTS!
Please update your website to reflect accurate operating times. I was able to book a reservation, receive confirmation, and show up to closed doors on a Saturday morning. Poor client experience.
Great atmosphere, love the old castle feel. We went on Friday for 3-4-1... Great drinks . My wife had the wings (smokehouse) she liked them, I had the hummus with veggies and pita, it was good but for the price I needed more veggies and pita, the bowl of hummus was huge but I had nothing to dip it with . We sat on the patio, it was following a storm, they quickly dried the outside glass tables and added the padded seats but didnt wipe the high top chairs or tables. The music was okay but needed a better mix of time periods . We will definitely be back
Nice Day party vibe. Bottles were expensive as heck! 270 for Titos and 350 for. Nice indoor outdoor atmosphere.
Enjoyable experience. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. My party was there at a very slow time when there was not a lot of staff present and they did a good job of covering everything. I liked the outside area and with a few improvements, Ember has the potential for five 🌟 .
This place was trying to be a fancy brunch place but it was giving cafeteria. The server wasnt very knowledgeable as she was new. She didnt even know if they served coffee for brunch. The food stations were far apart. Our friend tried to get waffles at the waffle station and they forgot about her. She never received them. The food was average nothing special. The prices were not worth it honestly. Save your money. The only part was the outside courtyard when we had to walk out there for the bathroom cause the inside one was out of service.
We were not greeted when we came in and did not k ow if we should sit stand or what. After waiting for a few minutes at the front we sat at a table that a new guys gave us the green light to sit at then another employee came to us and spoke to us with an attitude asking if we had a reservation. Once no was advised she said well you have to move you cant sit here its for reservation only. At the time, all the tables were very much vacant, and only the bar was semi-full. We advised another employee sat us there and no directed us when we came in and she rudely stated again we cant sit there and walked away.As we headed to the bar my pregnant friend couldnt sit high up and after talking to what could have been the manager we received a small table next to the bar so we could all eat comfortably the waitress we had was very sweet. As we got up to get food, we all started at the omelet and waffle station. The man seemed like he did not want to be at work or serve us he had no smile he didnt greet us we didnt even know what the station is for until we asked and had to force an answer from him. He constantly walked away from his station for long periods of time and was rude to all the other guests as well as we continued to watch during our stay.I came once with coworkers and had an amazing experience, which I s why I referred it to my friends visiting but this visit not so great especially it being my birthday. But since it started raining as we were getting ready to leave we just stayed. We ate what we had and left.
I think this place has a lot of potential, unfortunately, it had some mishaps. They had forgotten her waffle twice. She had asked for one and no waffle showed up, I went to go ask for one for her, it never showed up. I think the prices are fair for the bottomless drinks, but not for the buffet. There weren’t enough options as a vegetarian in my opinion. The waitress was new, but she was super nice and the place was busy so I don’t knock her for her service being abit slower. The food was ok but nothing super amazing.
Went for brunch and it was dead empty. It soon became obvious why. They do an all you can eat brunch buffet that costs $26, bottomless mimosas for $11. The buffet is basically a hot hotel breakfast with an omelette station. Its got shrimp and grits and pulled pork, so maybe a fancier hotel breakfast, but still a hotel breakfast.Actually Ive stayed at hotels that have a better breakfast buffet than this.Save your money.
The outside bar.manager white lady. very rude disrespectful. The service is terrible. All the nice girl they fire. They dont care how they serve you.And make sure you check your account. They will over charge you. Even when you give them a big tip. Not because they service is good. Just so they will look at them self and see that they were hire to serve their guests. One word come to mind.very nasty people. But the Dj and the music great 👍
Food was eh, seasoning was not up to par. Seems like the dishwasher and waffle station person took the day off. The most memorable part of this experience was Caitlin our waitress she explained the shortcomings of the back of the house and tried her best to make our experience worthwhile. While I wont be back I hope this establishment gets it together and I hope all their service staff are trained like Caitlin (sorry if her name is misspelled)
Our first time there and we really loved it! We went on a Saturday which was perfect since it wasn’t pack! Brunch menu was really good for it to be unlimited & they also had fruits and desserts. I give a 10/10 for the brunch menu & a 20/10 with our waitress Angie! She was really nice , on top of our drink orders , and provided excellent customer service! We reserved our table outside and it was really pretty. They had an interview going on while being there so they had to turn off the music. 3/10 for the DJ since the music was really low, the music wasn’t a vibe which that’s a must when you’re drinking & half the time he wasn’t at the DJ booth so the music was on a playlist. We will definitely be coming back soon in hopes of a better music vibe.
We booked a section for a birthday party and after our full party arrived we were brought to our section. The section was outside but it was raining so we asked if we could sit inside because the couches were soaked and didn’t have any cushions on them, just wood boards. We were seated inside and then told, after we asked, that a server would be assigned to us. After waiting for 30 minutes a server from the outside section came inside and said she would assist us since we still didn’t have a server. Terrible organizing and management on a Friday night.
Had a reservation for a party of 10 for a Sunday Birthday Brunch at 11:30am. Considering they just opened at 11am and it wasnt that crowded the service was very slow and the several of the buffet stations were lacking food in the eggs and hash browns section. Had to ask to refill them. The omelet station was super slow. I gave up after waiting 15 minutes and moved on. The bacon and sausage were good but cold. The fried potatoes were cold as well. Several of the items mentioned online were not available on the buffet. The unlimited champagne and sangrias were great was took a while to get replenished. One person in our party tried to order a bloody mary and the response was they do not have any bloody mary mix and they have been out for 2 months. The overall consensus of the group on the food and service was that it was just eh. Would not go back for brunch or to dine. Also on another note, I went to use the restroom and the only stall open did not have a toilet lid on the toilet. When I came back to the table another person had mentioned the mens room was also lacking a toilet lid as well.
Is there a negative star? We will not recommend this place to anyone. We were in town for a show looking to eat a little something and a couple of drinks, online the pictures seemed like the place, made a reservation but went in and NO Captian Morgan and NO Coke. Not a single person in the restaurant . It took a while to order drinks, and we have chased the waitress for the menu. Then we found out they only have a bar menu! So We Left! Best decision because we found the best Italian restaurant around the corner.
We picked Ember after doing a search on Google for a friendly restaurant in downtown Orlando. The restaurant has a great atmosphere of an older building with exposed brick, two bar areas center to eating areas. Indoor area had high top seating, covered outside area had short top tables and booths. Our server greeted us at the table and we ordered a Manhattan and lemonade. I had to use the restroom, which was clean and tidy. The menu has several choices, I had the sirloin beef tips with hand mashed potatoes and a mushroom sauce. We engaged the server in small talk and he suggested several places of interest we should go for the day on Sunday. We paid the check, chatted with him a bit more and said our good byes. Overall a great experience for us, and will definitely return next time we are in town.
The food was ok, except for the pork. We all got violently sick from it. It seemed it was not stored at the required temperature.
This place advertises free cover and free drinks for ladies before midnight on Friday nights. The bartenders do everything in their power to avoid you if you’re getting free drinks. They literally ignore you unless you stare them down for a drink. And I’m tipping generously for every drink I get. As a service industry worker myself, (to the bartenders) you know what you signed up for when you put in your application. The service here is trash. Skip it.
I actually ate before finding this gem. I could not resist the buffe, and I was so happy I tried it. Everything was delicious! My server, Anthony ( I believe was his name), was amazing! He was kind and attentive. Also, the hostess was very sweet. I cant wait to go back. I have already shared the enjoyment with friends and family. Thank you!
Made a reservation for my birthday. For 11:30. Showed up at 11:30. Doors were locked, waited around until 11:50 and left. Wasted money parking, glad I left cause the most recent reviews showed the food wasnt that good anyways
Servers have an attitude for no reason and we had to beg to be served. came for breakfast buffet and had to ask 2 different staff just to get silverware and ended up grabbing it myself. food was cold and the omelet table wasn’t staffed 70% of the time. The servers all talked in the back while my party waited for water refil or our dishes to be taken. ended up having to ask for our table to be cleared.
Horrible!! Went to celebrate a bachelorette party and the manager advised he had no servers and bartenders. The food was HORRIBLE; shrimp tasted like old grease when asked had the grease been changed was advised the grease had not been changed since 2 days ago. Services took forever on everything we order. Please do not go here for any food, you will be disappointed.
Food was not done, had to refresh the wings and it seem like it was a problem til one of the men dress up came to our rescue. He made the three stars and service.
Its always a good time, but the drinks are highly overpriced.
Made the mistake of going on a Sunday morning and paid $32 a plate for stale and overcooked food.Service was decent honestly, our guy was pretty cool. But it appeared they were the only one doing anything out of the seven or eight other employees that were around. Its definitely a nightclub, not worth coming unless youre already hungover/tipsy.
Ember has such a wonderful vibe to it and I love being here. Thank you for your fun staff, great barteneders who get it when youve just walked in 5 min before last call for a large glass of champagne. I appreciate that and even though I live in LA, you made me feel like a local.
Outstanding company, great customer service. Came in during EDC week and forgot my debit card. Came in today and the manager was very helpful and was able to find my debit card. Thank you
Horrible experience on Sunday 10/30. It was my daughters 21st birthday and a group of 11 family members and I went to celebrate her birthday there. While we were seated promptly we literally sat there for 30 minutes (NO exaggeration) and not a single person came to offer us menus, take our orders or help us. Mind you, this is a large group of well dressed professionals, we werent some group of rude slobs or young kids. My daughter was wearing an obvious birthday sash and tiara, so it was very evident we were here to celebrate a special occasion. Yes, they were mildly busy but certainly not busy enough to ignore a large group for 30 minutes. Server after server walked by and never even bothered to stop and see if someone had offered to help us. My husband and daughter walked up to the bar to see if they could possibly order drinks there while the rest of us waited at the table. Not ONE SINGLE bartender, looked their way or even remotely glanced in their direction even after my husband politely tried getting someones attention. Im sorry but that is absolutely horrific service, or lack there of. We ended up leaving and you guys ended up losing what would have been a very lucrative tab from our group. Sad part is we were excited to take our daughter here as we used to love coming to ember for happy hours and good times with friends. I wont be back...there is a million other bars and restaurants in Downtown to patronize who appreciate their customers. Many of whom got a lot of business from us yesterday!
Came here for my mothers birthday and they basically told her to F off. They asked for water and beer and the server only brought the beer and they were left waiting for over 30 minutes for their water. So many employees but they’re all standing around, on their phones, or just talking amongst themselves. At least they decorated for Saint Patrick’s Day, that’s about the only good thing going for them since their service is so poor. We didn’t even have an opportunity to taste any food, but based on other reviews I’ve read, I think we got off lucky. Come here if you like being ignored! (:We came to Super Rico Colombian Restaurant instead and the food is INCREDIBLE! Great prices and amazing staff. Go there instead
Definitely a chill spot to go and enjoy yourself with friends and family
Legit place to vibe ... from hosts to bartenders everyone was on point! Great experience !!!
We experienced a very long wait for food and drinks. The waiter seemed to be bringing drinks 2 at a time instead of all at once on a serving tray. 1 of us never received our meal and another was told that they didnt have what she ordered. Normally that would be fine but they did not tell her that until after everyone else received there meal so she waited over an hour to be told she has to reorder her meal.
Service was super slow and there were only a few people at the place, food came cold and flavorless and it was not worth the money, table felt sticky, the appetizers never came, they charged in advance the gratuity which is rude and excessive. Its definitely not a place to go!
Nice Sunday Brunch. Loved the outdoor patio. The staff is very nice. Very friendly. The food was good. My companions had the unlimited Mimosa brunch which they really enjoyed. My suggestion to improve a good thing would be to make sure there is always coffee and creamer available. Bathrooms need attention when busy.
Creative vegan dishes, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff.
We brought a group of Ghost tour owners from all over the country to their breakfast buffet and what a wonderful experience they all had! The food was delicious and there was something for everybody. Dennis, the manager went out of his way to make sure they had the warmest welcome! Thank you for making it a memorable experience and every single one of them will be revisiting Orlando in the future said they will be back!
My first time at this club was on a Friday. My friend and I was greeted by a Caucasian male who was very polite, welcoming and professional. My second time which was last night March 15, 2023 as me and my friends went to return the guy who was supposed to be checking our ids was pressuring me to have a conversation with him. So due to the fact that I would not engage in a conversation with him he told me and my friends we where not welcomed into his club and told me I was being rude. I felt very uncomfortable and pressed so I did not mind leaving. The only reason I gave you guys any stars because of the first guy who invited us in.
They ran out of food, and ot was empty go figure, looked like a dive bar in the middle of downtown smh
Went to Ember’s Wine down Wednesday… it was… once upon a time better. I went pre pandemic and it was quite a lively and often packed with people. The food they put out was subpar and by subpar I would rate it a 1/5. The food was dry and flavorless and they removed the food 15 min before 7:30. I personally couldn’t care less, but my friends were vexed. The drinks were as expected for $10 entry. The music was a tad too loud. If people were dancing it would make more sense, maybe slightly softer music until 8:30pm. I don’t have any plans to return in the near future.
I went to Ember for the first time for my birthday brunch, and let me tell you, it was amazing. $34 + gratuities and tax per person for bottomless mimosas and food. Food was buffet style but we did have staff checking in on us every so often to bring us more champagne and juice. The food was really good for the most part. The eggs were a little unevenly cooked and kinda gross, and the bagels/bread were hard, but everything else was pretty good. Besides those things, I tried the waffles, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, fruits, cheeses, and this chicken spaghetti dish and it was all pretty good, though not the most amazing food ever (besides the breakfast potatoes, those were incredible). I wish they had more variety in the juice offerings for the mimosas. The music was great and so was the ambiance. Bathrooms were kinda gross. Staff was really friendly. Overall, I had a great time and I would definitely go back. I definitely got my money’s worth!
Take one look when you enter this dive bar at the vent system over the bar…the black mold covering the vents will tell you everything how your meal will be. If I could review with no stars I would. Absolutely ATROCIOUS. We had a group of about 15.. food was Costco frozen specials cut up in pieces and a bar full of employees who made sure they completely IGNORED you. We received a discount for the atrocities and lackluster food. But if only we had gone elsewhere…avoid this place at all costs!
Manager was unprofessional. We asked to see him and he never came to our table. He was doing shots for the staff instead. Also, our food didn’t come out for over an hour. Also, the restaurant was near empty and everything took very long. Food nothing to speak of. And I RARELY give restaurants poor reviews. I just never go back. So now, both.
The bartender was so nice it was my sis b day we had a time her name was destiny next day we saw extra charges on our cards call them manger never got back to us everytime we called after no answer got me for 35 extra dollers + wht I payed for wings I only had wings lol and got my sister for $50 + the drinks she only bought two drinks
This place is dope, had a lot of fun last week over here! Did both wine down Wednesday and Cinco de Mayo. Want to give a quick shout out to my bar tenders Jenna and Kim! You guys rock and made both nights memorable. Thank You will definitely be back!! 😎🙌
They are finally back open for lunch!!!! Went yesterday and appeared word was not out yet. The food was terrrific and great service! The atmosphere is always great! Definitely going back again soon!
Poor service. Charged over $60 for someone to bring us a water and a tea. No contact of staff of any kind after that. Dirty dishes beside us from the buffet. no drink refills. Could’ve left without paying and no one would’ve noticed. Using containers from the floor behind the bar to serve champagne and juices in. Not worth the money.
Greatvl for outdoor dining. We were there for Sunday brunch, it was buffet only, no menu, selection was minimal and nothing great. Service was great though, and no wait for a table.
Really wanted to like this place. The service was gruff at best. Treated me like it was a hassle to bring me a drink. Several regulars walking around starting loud abrasive conversations with nearly everyone, telling jokes that were neither funny or appropriate, ruined any chance at enjoying any atmosphere they might have created. Ordered an appetizer that was so salty it was inedible. Left after two bites and not a word from the bartender.
We were there for a party of 16 on Saturday for brunch and Megan was our server she never felt overwhelmed she was great personality great energy and made the whole party happy and eager to return . We will definitely go back and hope Megan will be our server again kudos 😊😊😊😊
We came into a cool experience, but it started storming and the bartenders there at the time went above and beyond to serve us, even in the storm. Once the bartenders changed shifts, an extremely rude bartender came in and and threw our drinks away. I asked him why and he said “no one was sitting there” he proceeded to argue with me and say I had an attitude after he threw our drinks away without even speaking to us. He came into work with an attitude, none of the patrons liked him, and had his manager back him up without even taking the time to find out what happened. I am respectful to everyone I meet, I make a friend everywhere I go and never have an issue with anyone. The only reason I gave two stars is because of the bartenders we had from brunch until change of staff. I will not EVER come to this establishment again. First and last time, respectfully. I’ve never been treated so poorly.
DON’T DO IT! Service was TERRIBLE! Food took forever to come out, for example a flatbread took 45 minutes and then it was cold. Some of the people with me never got a meal. One waited over 45 minutes for salmon then they came out and said they were out of salmon. To top that off our original server walked out!! Yes grabbed her purse and left!! Very disappointed and in spite of all the mishaps, management didn’t offer any thing to make things right. TERRIBLE!
I tried the Explosive Shrimp and the Smoke Honey Garlic Wings and I can say that I am definitely impressed with the taste of both menu items. I highly recommend this place because of the hospitality and the great food and drinks that are decently priced. If you into the night life this place is definitely a top destination. Andrew and Sabrina took care of me and their hospitality and customer service is top notch.
I attended the CFBLA (private) holiday party which was catered in the outside bar area. It was a beautiful night but some of the building structure is in need of repair.
We visited for the first time on the last night of Soul Cafe. The music was great for the crowd. The DJ played classics, even songs we hadnt heard in years! No true dress code, which was perfect for us. Ppl were able to dress in what was comfortable for them. Great crowd, decent food. If you want to sit outside where the Dj is be sure to buy a table. Otherwise, try your luck inside. Where the bartenders dont even want to be😆,
We were so excited when we saw they were doing a wine down Wednesday. We went in after work to wine down and have a quick bite to eat and chill. The bouncers at the door and thorough bag search didnt make sense at the time at 5.15 pm. After an hour the place flooded with people and the music got so loud and trashy you couldnt hear yourself talk. Youre limited with the indoors and God have mercy if youre anywhere near a speaker. Not what we have imagined.
Bartenders kinda rude.Over all great club
To party its a lot of fun! One thing tho, how the heck theres so many servers or bar backs and it takes forever to take your order. Its like they walk by you and you dont exist. Had to wait a long time to get a drink. The atmosphere is fun, food its ok if you r drunk 😁
2.5*s….Came in for a quick drink & bite on a Saturday at 4pm. Manager was rude, wasn’t sure what time it was & if she could seat us. I told her it was 4:03pm and then my husband asked if we could get an outdoor table. Manager needed to check her reservations and I tried to explain that we were going to be quick since my car meter expired at 5pm - did get to finish my sentence because she cut me off. Outdoor music was blaring, margarita pizza was okay…crust was too soft in middle and couldn’t pick up a slice-had to slide it onto a plate. Very limited menu, not sure what’s up with that and no drink menu offered. Server was okay, pretty quiet, but she did get the music turned down for us. No large parties came in before we left at 4:40pm. Not likely our family will return, they definitely didn’t seem like our business was important.
If I could give this place less then 1 star I would, what I thought was going to be a night out with my girls turned into the worst experience I have ever had in my 10+ years of going out in downtown Orlando, not only were 8 women harrassed by a security guard,we were verbally accosted, followed and robbed and blackmailed over 20$,it’s crazy that a bouncer whom is supposed to tell us not to smoke in the clubs decided to state he would turn the other cheek if we moved to the back, then had the nerve to harrasse us about 20$ after telling us that if we moved to the back of the club is smoking wouldn’t be an issue….i will never step foot in this club ever again after having experienced what I did last night, the bouncer had the nerve to get upset because he went for my younger sibling and harrassed her multiple times while threatening to kick her out if she didn’t pay him and her friend while I walked away to get a drink and when I said something about how he hustled a 21 year old out of 20$….smh it’s giving very much bum energy,if you want to be followed and harrassed out of money after being told it’s okay, the come to this club where the security and bouncers will harrassed, follow and go off on you because they feel they can, this is why I do not go to party in down town Orlando…..if I were you, stay with someone and make sure you have males with you so if you are a lady you won’t be harrassed or blackmailed out of whatever amount of money they want from u the way we were last night…..if your a multi million dollar club…STOP HIRING JUST ANY BUM THAT APPLYS‼️‼️‼️‼️Don’t Come Here‼️‼️‼️
Made a reservation that specifically asked for somewhere inside as I have health issues and cannot be exposed to heat for long periods of time. I was also in a long sleeved black dress, again on the assumption that I would be inside. I planned ahead, made a reservation, but was disregarded. I traveled for a long way and paid for parking just to eat here, and couldnt even eat there. Its ridiculous that a Florida restaurant has 70% outdoor seating. When is Florida NOT hot? Will not be coming back
Didnt have food. Just stopped in for drinks and entertainment. Got my fill of both. The queens are TV worthy. The bartender was very efficient. In all the chaos, he was on it. Drinks and water never ran dry.
We had VIP which was not worth it.Our VIp waiter was sitting eating Hir Flaming Cheetos instead of doing her job.Music should be more upbeat.Sept. 1 at 11:27pm.
Great music playing and great food. We didnt stayed though because we didnt know that all the tables were pressed. And top of the $20 person cover charge you would have to pay for the table as well as buy 2 bottles. None of which was disclosed on the website or at the door. Between the entry, food and drinks we spent over $100 and only stayed 30mins. This was our first and last time.
Customer service, the ambience, and the BISCUITS were great. I got the margherita flat bread it was good but not great. My boyfriend got the spinach flatbread and it was OK. The taste of the cheese was SUPER STRONG. They didnt have the meatball brioche sandwich so the waiter decided to give us another batch of biscuits on the house so that was pretty nice.
I love this place. Going on a Wednesday for wine down Wednesday is fun. It’s unlimited wine. And brunch on Sunday is also fun. It’s unlimited wine
Server did not come to our table so we had to move to the bar, where the bartender overcharged us for happy hour drinks and forgot to ring up our appetizer. The drink was weak, whiskey sour, and only filled half the small glass. I would not recommend this place to anyone that does not want to get ripped off.
I went here for my first club experience in 10 years and they completely failed my expectations overall. The idiot security at the time waited until I stepped outside to wand me and ask for my ID when I was in the establishment since 8:30 pm. When I researched it was ladies free until 11:30 and the dumb female in the front wanted to charge me $10 to get in a place I was chilling at for 2 hours. By far the worse establishment. The food was decent and the people at the bar outside was on point but the security and dumb female in the front checking people in were horrible. DO better. They are one of the reasons I dont go to establishments clubs because bulllcrap and they need to be fired immediately.
We went for Sunday brunch and the only option is a buffet. Some of the food you could tell was sitting there for a while. They did have other options such as omelet made right then and there, which were good. Yet, our server was terribly lost most of the time. We waited about 20 minutes just to get a wrist band that would allow us to try the food. We did mention our issues to the manager but after that we had no server at all. We had to go to the bar to get drinks or anything after that. Unfortunately, the brunch price ($41 per person) is not worth the food or the poor service.
This place sucks interracial couples seem too not exist when it comes to getting a damn drink.it took 10:00 minutes to get served at the bar.while other patrons get served before us!
Went there several times and each time it just isn’t the same. This last time I went the price they charge for the Poor selection of food was not worth the price at all. First time I went the selection of the Sunday brunch had more options and better quality service and food. The plates to serve your food were dirty and had to be told to staff to get cleaner plates. Staff was to busy doing nothing instead of attending there tables. It was just a hot mess . I would not go there anymore just not worth it. Not the same place like it use to be when I first went years ago. Also when you make reservations and need to make a change or call to ask questions no one answers the phone . When you make the reservations they don’t give you options to eat indoor or outdoor. I had made reservations like 2 months ago and when I arrive the server said we had to sit outside and I told them we weren’t given the option to choose when making a reservation to sit indoor or outdoor and that I was not going to sit outside . So when it comes to the customer trying to make Reservations or plans for a specialOccasion ember is MIA when it come to the phones and helping customer have a great experience there .
Went for Sunday brunch met with friends, the place is nice, great environment, some staff were very helpful while the hostess did not accommodate us in one place, took a waiter to help us there, didnt get his name but he was the only one who looked after us and got us on a more comfortable table and all of us together, thanks . The food wasnt so great, was bland and flavor less and quite pricey for bland and flavor less food, another down side is that the dishes and drinking glass were not fully clean, had to have ours changed a few times.
Dropped in for lunch and we were 1 of 2 groups that were there. The service was absolutely unacceptable for any establishment. Over 20 mins after we placed our drink order, we finally walked up to the bar and asked if we could just get our own drinks. Food then took just as long. We spent 2 hrs there just for lunch.
Dope spot like yall Sunday brunch
The new Ember supper club is lovely! I went for lunch for the first time in years. I always went to Ember for wine down Wednesday or Sunday brunch, but this new food menu is on another level. My friend & I split the smokey honey garlic wings and the baked brie with fig jam and bacon as our appetizers. For my entree, the steak & frites. Everything was fresh and delicious. I’m definitely going back soon in the evening!
This place really needs some attention. Food is cold....drinks took 48 minutes to come out. Table was on its last leg...wobbly all around. Go somewhere else not worth it at all.
Absolutely the worst experience here that I have been through. I understand staffing concerns and how that has hurt the food industry as I work in it myself. All the food was cold, took 45 min to get apps, drink refills were 10 to 15 min. One of the people in my party asked to speak to a manager. Malcom came over and offered us 40% off. 20% off each check. Not sure how that comes 40% off. Overall a horrible time here for my birthday.
The brunch and mimosas were great as well as the service. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. But, the live music really killed the experience for me. The singer only played one genre and wasn’t versatile. The bathrooms also could use some work. There was no toilet seat or tissue.
Every bartender have a different price, last night for wine down Wednesday, I bought two rounds off Hennessy outside for the same price, then went inside and bought another round of the same drinks for $12 more than what i paid for it outside. When youre there watch your Charges on your credit card for a few days or just use cash.
Once and done.Had a lunch reservation for 12 people, confirmed weeks in advance.Showed up, had to rearrange tables ourselves.Took over two hours to get all our lunch entrees. Even worse, the first entrees showed up in about an hour, so part of the group finished their meals and left before others were served.
$34 for the full all you can eat and drink brunch experience is advertised, except its not what you pay. Theres a sign at the door that says gratuity included in your bill. After everything, this is a $50 breakfast at least. Oh, and there are tip jars strategically placed all around. ..because your involuntary gratuity isnt enough? Hopefully youre lucky enough to find free parking, otherwise thats $10 too. Also, they say they open at 10am, but at 10:30 they werent even ready for anyone. Food was delicious, and the dining area outside is nice. Poor girl behind the bar was the only server outside, and she looked and sounded like her shift wasnt over from the night before. All in all, this is a potentially good idea that is poorly executed.
Frequent downtown employee. Ask for Anthony or Ty. They are exceptionally good bartenders and waiters. Cristian pours a decent drink and Ty is a fast waiter that will great your table with nothing but friendliness and efficiency. I love ember for Friday for happy hour and continued great service!
Great, friendly service from the bar staff and Wine Down Wednesday is an excellent concept. The crowd is pretty mixed (race/orientation) with a 20s-30s age crowd. Seating is limited and some of the high top chairs are pretty worn and need to be replaced, but ultimately not a bad midweek spot. My only complaint is the DJ because there was no real flow to the music choices. One minute rap, next pop, next reggae, next r&b...you get the picture. I personally don’t like going from a high energy song that makes you want to dance to a song that’s as slow as a lullaby. There needs to be more focus on the logical transitions in songs/type to keep the crowd engaged.
We went for the 3 for 1 drinks, but it didnt happen that way. My first drink was great, then bartenders switched. Needless to say, the drinks were horrible after that. DJ played the same songs over and over. All the music was throwbacks and not fit for the crowd, which was people in their 20s. Waitress took too long returning to the table and she was very forgetful. Not a good experience.
Business meeting w/15+ people. Perfectly seated, served and watered. The service team were exceptional. Food (I had the salmon) was off the hook good. I really enjoyed myself here and will definitely be returning.
If you are looking for a place to go on downtown and are not sure what you want to do yet, Ember is definitely your starting point. Great for after work and brunch plans. Their seating is very limited and their music varies based on what day of the week it is (they have different concepts), but they have good food that pairs really well with their drinks and their Wine Down Wednesday event is very popular for a reason! Make sure to RSVP to get a discounted cover/entrance fee.
We chose this restaurant because it was close to Amway. With a 3 hour slot to stop enjoy dinner and drinks before the show that started at 8.We arrived at 5:00. Everything started out wrong. When ordering our drinks they were out of many of the normal shelf liquors. I asked what he did have and Dennis said “Pretty much what you would get at a nightclub” 🤦🏻♀️ It took 45 minutes to get our starters. Dennis disappeared🧐🤔 we had to go back to the kitchen to explain that we had a show and we really needed to get our food. Second waiter brought us our dinner 1hr and 30 minutes from the time we ordered. My dinner had to be sent back the smell of the soured cream sauce was awful. I chose not to get another. To top the evening off smoke started filling the dining room. At that point all we could do was laugh. We were a party of 8. The only thing we will remember about this spot is watching a fire truck pass by as the dining room filled with smoke and Dennis disappearing into the night.
Small portions for the price of food and check had duplicate charges. Took 20 minutes to get corrected. Added gratuity to check. I used to go all the time when they had 3 for 1 happy hour on Friday. Now this version barely resembles its former self. Will not be back.
Love Ember!! This was the first bar we went to while in downtown Orlando. I love the layout and vibe here. I loved being outside on the patio area. The people are cool, music is good, drinks are good.. they have hookah here too (I think, I can barely remember that night lol).. so much fun!!
Planned to go on a Saturday night, so I made reservations through the button here on Google Maps a couple of hours before. When I got there, the man at the hostess table (the manager, I think) didnt honor my reservation because I made it after he had already printed the list of reservations for the day.We ended up sitting outside, which would have been fine if it werent for the 7-10 business days we had to wait between each time we saw our server. My friend ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, which was embarrassingly small for the price. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was so salty I had to send it back. They were helpful about comping it, so that was good (the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1). I got a ceasar salad with the dressing on the side to replace it and the dressing was literally the consistency of mayo.
The bartender here Ramon is great he’s really friendly and his customer service is impeccable definitely recommend going to see him if you hit up this spot. He’s the first bartender when you walk in with the tattoo on his chest. 10/10 would highly recommend
Have been to Ember in the past and had a pleasant experience but we decided to check out their Brunch this time. Their staff were so incredibly friendly and very attentive. They offer bottomless mimosas and our waitress kept the champagne flowing! The brunch buffet was diverse and oh so tasty! They did a wonderful job putting it together. Will return for sure!!
Ive been to Ember over the years usually for day parties. I love the location and the terrace setting. Ive been when they had food and the food is okay when youre drinking and need something to soak up the alcohol but I wouldnt travel here for their food only. The only thing I dont always like is the fact that they only have two bathrooms and theyre very small. On top of that all of the stalls are not always working when Ive come for events/parties. Theres always a long wait whenever I go to go to the bathroom and its not always the cleanest either. That said, this is still one of my favorite venues downtown.
Amazing interior design. Clean bathrooms, great energy. Nice promotional nights like Wine Down Wednesday, staff is decent = B minus: When I arrived initially, I sat directly at the bar, no one made eye contact and was not trying to serve me anything. I had to get their attention smh. 😒. Overall fun experience! Enjoy.
Always loved ember. Been a minute since I visited. Its even better. Great food, awesome bartenders. Only things i didnt like was cashier asking me for a tip. Why? And if a table is reserved for 8pm Im there at 5 they still dont let u sit there I dont understand that. Its empty for hours. Then have like chair police its ridiculous
Had a party of 23 for 2 birthdays and they took very good care of us for brunch. Even allowed me to come in early before they opened to decorate the table. Food was very good as well. A lot to eat and a great variety. Made our way to everything but the omelet bar only cause I couldnt eat anymore food.
This is thee place to be when in Orlando on a Thursday night jack. Sooo much fun and very live, just gotta beat that line outside, luckily we had VIP. Definitely coming back when Im in Florida..
⚠️ WARNING!!!!!If I could give no Star I would. If you have a reservation it’s BS it literally just holds your table you still have to WAIT in line! We waited 30min after reservation! The food was horrible! Everything was over cooked an dry! Would NOT recommend! I had a party of 11 spent good money for terrible service! No direction on lines for the buffets. Completely unorganized! The table they set us at had rocks behind it an couple the chairs were unstable.Ember you should have separate lines or add a pay at the table option for reservations completely defeats purpose of a reservation! Also not have food sitting out all morning! Couldn’t even eat was gross.
Went on a girls night on a Saturday night.(Latin night).. just from the line we already got a different vibe from the people and even the bouncer. pleasant experience. Went in.. inside and outside DJs going. good variety for Latin night. Lots of open seating available which is a huge deal after hours of dancing.. (seating really made us more comfortable for our breaks between dancing to every other song. Bartenders were pleasant. Glad we left the previous club we went to and came to Ember. that was the place to be for us that night. we had a blast!
Great place on a Friday night for Sol Cafe! It was a bit chilly and Moises went above and beyond to bring a heater for us. The manager was also very nice accommodating. We will definitely be back!
Bartenders super friendly awsome place to enjoy cocktails and good music. Really tasty food. And the ambience is so enjoyable. Parking really close and on Sundays for $10 FROM 3 TO 6PM all the mimosa you can drink. Can get any better.
I have attended numerous events here. The drinks were good as well as the service and appetizers. The air conditioning system must have been broken the last time I went and the place was sweltering. This kind of put a damper on the evening. However, previous times I have visited, everything was great.
This is my second time coming here for brunch. First time was great and better service. Today has been the worst service I ever had attending brunch. To pay for unlimited mimosas they only brought two bottle to the table with 20 people. But had a table with sitting with three people and had had three bottles of champagne . When we ask for more bottles the waiters gave us an attitude. Overall don’t waste your time here they are many brunch’s spots with better service!
I went on Wednesday night when there were only a few people at the bar. My friend and I ordered drinks and appetizers and you would have thought the house was packed. It took awhile to get the food and they left out an item which I had to request again and when the bar tender finally brought out the item, it still wasnt what I ordered. The food was decent. I ordered the wings and they were what you expect from a bar, not bad but not the best.
I normally come here for unlimited mimosas from 3-6:30 on Sundays. Its a very chill, social atmosphere. Has an outdoor patio but also a good indoor area in case it rains or you need to get out of the heat. Im not too sure about other days of the week but overall one of my favorite places Downtown on Sundays.
Ate here during a super busy evening, and though service did take a while staff were incredibly apologetic and offered half price on our meals. We declined, as we were so impressed with staff attentiveness and customer service. All staff were hustling non-stop--it was impressive. Owner was out working with his staff and conversing with customers. Remarkable. Food was great. Flatbreads were excellent, and burger was cooked perfectly. Loved the open air nature of the restaurant as well.
Young crowd allows smoking and amateur bar tenders. 1 bartender kept getting orders wrong. The other didnt know difference in wines. Used to go on Wed and Fri from time to time pre covid but the new staff is horrible wouldnt go back unless its a T-gaines or Tamara James event because I know it will be a better crowd and better bartenders
Sunday after church is a good time. Axel is the best bartender in the place. Look for him inside at the South West corner of the house bar inside. Speedy response and awesome service, he makes this place worth the trip downtown on Sunday. The patio area is always a great place to meet friends, old and new. This is the spot if you want to do Sunday funday or brunch. Christian is also an awesome bartender, keeps the drinks going and treats you well.
Food was 1/10 everything was nasty but the fries. The drinks was nasty as well. Just a bad experience. The menu online it’s not even correct we had a whole another menu
HEALTH AND WEALTH WARNINGOn Thursday 13th October 2022, we had / nearly had lunch at this JOKE of an establishment. Our Male waiter was away with the fairies in cloud cuckoo landHe was trying to train a female waiterSo, let’s startWe ordered 2 bottles of beer while we looked over the menuI chose the stuffed mushrooms, and my son chose the Cesar salad both were startersWe picked a bottle of white wine, which the waiter couldn’t get the cork out, he thought it was a screw top, he asked another employee for ONE OF THOSE THINGS TO GET CORKS OUT. It was clear he had no idea, he then brought 2 champagne glasses for the wine, again another employee intervened, and we got 2 wine glasses. The Cesar salad a simple starter to make arrived covered in salt, the Atlantic Ocean has less salt in it than the salad. We politely complained and a second salad was brought out.On looking round the restaurant we noticed every table complaining over one thing are another, and they were all sending plates full of food back to the kitchen. We paid our bill and left we did not leave any tip; we also told the trainee waiters that the place was a JOKE likewise we also told the person at the door who took us to the table.IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTESI had to dash to another bar to release the crippling stomach ack, over the next hour I spent most of the time with MEGA DIARRHEAThis establishment should be avoided, service a joke, staff an even bigger joke, the food could have you spending time having your stomach pumped out at the emergency department
Awesome place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Large heartwa just in case it gets cold outside. Havent eaten here yet but the party life was very mellow. Went for wine down Wednesday and we deff was winding down. No complaints. Ill deff be going back.
This is a mixed rating - absolutely adore this place for brunch. Delicious buffet style food, a selection of fresh made-to-order items, and unlimited mimosas. Cant go wrong! That said, my experiences here at night for Ember the club/night venue have not been as impressive.
If I could leave a no star reviwe I would. This place is not a restaurant - its a bar and thats it. I dont get the 4.9 reviews. The place is cool and hip enough for the barflies and the younger set but dont come looking for a meal. Its disgusting! Frozen and warmed in the microwave. Will never go to this place again. Ember, bars are now known for their food as well as their vibrant bar scenes. Get your act together!
Had to cash app a bouncer 10 bucks to let my friend in a ten pm , weird ! Paid 18 bucks for wine down ,no food even though it was supposed to be included I got there at 8 ! Asked to speak to a manager never came ! Very disappointed
This event is a nice place to come to but they are stealing ppl money be aware of when spending your money here because they are stealing ppl money i got charged twice for no reason spoke to the manager and she did completely nothing !!!!!!! very disappointing i’ll never spend another $1 with them
Christian and Dennis the managers were extremely polite, nice clean club. Music and drinks were excellent. Brought my friend out who lives in New York to Ember and she loves it! Can’t wait to go back! 😊
Nice ambiance however the service could have been better. My order was incorrect and it didnt taste all that well.
Went to ember Sunday June 9 for brunch with my friend. I’m an out of town guest and was looking to have a nice morning out with my friend. The girl at the front was rude while we entered. I was unimpressed with the food for 30 dollars frozen mini quiches and scrambled eggs was a bit much. Tip was included when we paid at the beginning of our meal. Then I was quickly notified that the coffee was by the bar and where the water was. Why am I tipping 20% if it is a buffet and I’m getting my own coffee and water. So I’m tipping for you to bring me champagne and juice. My bucket ran out of ice and juice multiple times. At that point I would rather just serve my self and save the money. After a disappointing meal we left where the hostess continued to be rude. I will not be back.
Absolutely amazing experience!! Defiantly a great Orlando bar to hangout at! Plenty of room and amazingly friend staff, from the manger/team leader all the way to our bartender Tim! So amazing! Made the entire afternoon. Thanks!! We will be back :)
Great place to have a fun Orlando late night out. The place is huge and has both and outdoor and an indoor side, both with different music but same vibe. Drinks are super cheap compared to other places. And the music is the best playlists Ive ever heard.
Told the girl at the door my friends were inside with a table. She asked me to get my friend, I did. And then she tried to make us pay to get in after getting a table when the place was EMPTY. When I asks her to explain the policy she told me she didn’t have to. Waaaaaaack!
Went there on a Saturday night. I had a few drinks and the door security tried to take advantage of me thinking I was wasted. When I paid for cover by swiping my card they redirected me to another line claiming I didnt pay cover and attempted to charge me again. Told them no and they said you cant pay cover at the line over there you have to pay over here. Not cool, definitely not a fan. Beware of falling victim to the same tactics as a couple of my friends were double charged cover.
I come to Wine Down Weds once in awhile, and always have a great time. I won’t let one experience spoil a 5-star rating, but I came tonight and was completely disrespected by one of the newer bartenders. I always tip at the end, but after filling my wine a couple of times, he said “you know, we work for tips and that’s why your service has slowed down”. I laughed and said, “you don’t have to serve me, I tip accordingly”. Needless to say, he never came back. Did not mind. Handed Liana and T a nice (individual) tip each, which they both appreciated 🙂 I’m a bartender and would NEVER heckle anyone for a tip, especially in this setting. Treat it like a guest experience, or you’re in the wrong business!
We made a reservation there and when we got there no one was there to greet or seat us, then we found our table ourselves with my name on it. It then took about 15 min to even find a server, then she literally had no personality, and she had us order quick because the kitchen will close at 9, the bar service was awful and took forever to get drinks and when we did the cups they use are literally baby cups. Prob won’t go back
The bartender at the side bar next to the entry was super rude. She told us before we even order that she needs a super good tip. When we ask why ? She said because she doesnt serve cheap people ( judging a book by its cover). Very bad service wont recommend.
Celebrated my cousins Birthday at Ember, a very nice outdoor vibe with bar in the middle of the floor. We are more seasoned ladies lol an dont go out alot but We liked the ambience an appreciate it was R n B grown folks, all white Friday..lol. so the music was perfect for us!🙂Down side: smoking n hookah allowed( no judgement)🙂. Leaving the downtown area after closing is a headache especially if u are parked in the garages an depending on any special events or concerts in the area.Would we go back Yes!..but no time soon. Blessings!
Ember hosted my fiancees birthday, they did a great job. The venue is great for parties and events with the large and nice outdoor area and multiple bars. Ive heard the brunch is good too, will probably come for that one Sunday.
Go for the empanadas at lunch any day of the week. They are crazy good. Also, check out the Wednesday Wine down event. It is the spot to be seen on Wednesday happy hour. I havent been yet, but I here Sunday brunch is another great tine to visit.
Had the smoked wings. They were very tasty. They could have been cooked a little bit more and that would make them perfect. Nice atmosphere. Waitress was friendly. Wedge fries were very delicious.
Called ahead and made reservations for friends birthday party. We showed up were charged a cover at the door the we were sat at the wrong table once we got comfortable we were asked to move.. the owner said I had to buy 5 bottles to stay. Terrible place, worst service, save your money, go spend it somewhere else.
This place was nothing like I imagined. When I first walked up to the place all their chairs are ripped or have holes. They advertise 33.95 all you can eat & drink brunch and I paid $50 for my food to have hair in it . When I brought it to the managers attention he gave me a hard time about giving me a refund. This place was terrible I wouldn’t recommend.
Went to the Sunday brunch here. We got the buffett and unlimited mimosas and sangria. If you park next door, its 10-15 dollars. Once in you can get food or just unlimited drinks. Ends at 3pm. Live music while your there, good crowd. Buffett had eggs (not too good), apple wood bacon, potatoes, shrimp and grits (amazing). Sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, rice brisket. Employee are really helpful. Only thing that needs help is making sure the glasses are clean, add seats to the toilets, not a good look.
Parking can be a chore. Lots of room inside and out. Outdoor bar is nice. First time here. Staff was nice and busy. Weekly wine event started at 6pm we were seated at 5pm and by 6pm the line out the door went down the street. Hundred ppl showed up for beer, wine and apptz. Fun times. Ordered med. Burger it was well but still tasty. Nice place seems like a great place to meet friends and eat/drink after work or hang out before a show downtown.
This was my first time coming to their brunch and I paid for unlimited mimosa and food. The food wasnt worth the $20 that myself and my and party of 20+ people. It was my birthday and the manager was really rude to my party and some of my friends paid for unlimited drinks and didnt even drink. When they asked for a refund the manager was so rude he even threw one of my friends money on the table and walked away. The manager told my friend that I was ban from coming back, but I didnt even speak to a manager and the staff did not want to help us except for one of the bus boys that was attending to our table. I will never come to this place again or recommend it to anyone. If I could rate this place a 0 I would. ALSO, THERE BATHROOMS WERE DISGUSTING I WOULD NOT USE THEM BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARENT BEING CLEANED REGULARLY. MANAGER WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
I went to Ember September 27 after 12 am. I had an open tab. When I went to close out my tab the bartender asked me if I was sure if I had a tab open, I told him of course I have a tab open I gave you my credit card, he looked in two different places where my credit card should of been and he came back and told me he didnt have my credit card. I assured him I had given them my card and I needed my card returned to me. I asked another bartender to help him find my card and she also stated they didnt have my card and proceeded to serve others and ignored the fact that my card was missing. I asked for the manager several times and they did not ever send for a manager. I went and asked for a manager and he went to look for my credit card and told me I never gave them my credit card. Then he checked the register and stated I had closed my tab and I had my card. I told him several times how they never returned my card. After several times explaining to the manager he continue to tell me his employees wasnt wrong and he stood behind his employees. Moments after another bartender found my card in the booklet and across the bar, and stated he found my card. I didnt receive any apology and was escorted out with my friends and told to leave. Not once I received an apology for accusing me of never giving them my credit card and 2nd for then stating I had my card, when it was never given to me. I will be contacting the owner of the establishment to further inform of the actions of the employees and management. By the way it was my 1st time visiting the location and there were 6 of us in our group and we all were buying customers. We were treated as we werent customers or their guest. I do not recommend this establishment.
Sunday brunch was overall a bad experience. They wasnt prepared for the event. spent over an hour trying to eat. The buffet stayed empty, never was able to get a drink , due to the wait. Only good thing was being able to get a refund.
What a great place to hang out on Sunday. Beautiful environment, very nice people, food was on point and the dj had the crowd on to pure extasis. I highly recommend it. I am not a very outdoorsy guy but I wouldnt mind the drive there to have such an uplifting experience. Well done Ember.
Fot here at 4p on the 4th of July. It started off slow due to the weather Id assume, but it got crowded later. Nice outdoor atmosphere. I tried the chicken empanadas which where ok not the best or worse that Ive had. A little thin on content and lacked seasoning. Drinks were good. Staff was nice for the most part. Mini hookahs was good. This is a great place to grab a drink and a hookah on Sunday and people watch.
