While they dont actually have food besides snacks, like the review said, I have to rate them 5-stars on all fronts for it being my absolute favorite venue of all time to go see shows. Ive been going basically since it opened, and its been my favorite ever since. Given the opportunity I would never miss a show at the ave. Ive seen many artists here and made fantastic memories with lots of good friends, many that I met there for the first time.Bass/Dubstep/Riddim shows definitely draw in the best crowds, everyone is kind and friendly, and Ive never had an issue with the staff (except one time I took a shooter right outside the venue and they didnt let me in haha) their security is always making sure people are safe, its quick and easy to scan your ticket and get in. The drinks arent expensive at all, and are made really well, bathrooms and water are easily accessible.Best spots to stand are definitely on the pillars, especially if youre at the front of the stage (dont be too messed up if you plan on standing here though!) If you like mosh pits youll love finding yourself right smack in the middle, and if you want to chill out the back is always nicely spaced out no matter how crowded it gets in there (and trust, for sold out shows it does get hot and sweaty) but- I LOVE it! Really gives those sick basement vibes for sure!I will never not return to the ave. If you love EDM and are in the area this venue is never a miss!
This place has long been the go-to spot for professionally ran EDM shows in Philadelphia. Unlocked Presents throws amazing shows here. Every single show I have been to has been an amazing experience. Security does sufficient pat downs and checks for overly inebriated patrons. Its an environment I genuinely feel safe in. The Sound system is great. I hope to see this venue continue to bring in top talent and continue to enhance the visuals, production value and sound system as much as technology allows.Thank you to the owners to providing a fantastic place to see fantastic artist.
Great place for those who like to rave. Really solid sound and lighting systems. Occasionally youll see some lasers and smoke machines.Bartenders are fast and friendly. Usually theres 2-3 bars open to spread out the volume. Drinks are a tad expensive, but nowhere near festival prices. Roughly $10 a drink on average. If you ask for water, theyll sell you a $5 bottle by default but have to give you a complimentary cup if you ask. Theres a sober bar by the bathrooms where you can get packaged snacks, but they dont serve food.Security is chill if youre being chill. Dont do anything dumb or get too under the influence and youll be fine. My pals Nic and Penny are usually at the shows, but Molly and Eddy just pregame with us. I havent asked any other friends to come. Those in the community probably know this, but youll typically find a more PLUR environment when less popular artists are playing. Big names and house artists bring out a lot of college kids, which is totally cool, but it does get packed and some folks arent as familiar with rave etiquette as others.
Great EDM venue! Weve been to tons of EDM concerts across the US and this venue is an excellent option and amazing addition to Phillys concert scene. The 2023 Zomboy show was awesome, with good energy, sound, and safety as well. I will say that it was hot inside - adding fans or upgrading the AC would be an incredible improvement. Otherwise awesome spot.
Been here a few times.Its nothing extravagant, but it serves its purpose.I wil say - it was whack to find out that I wasnt allowed to use the bathroom once the event was over.I wasnt trying to miss any part of the show / set -But had i known- I would have made my way before they shut them down.Not something anyone wants to find out when feeling like theyre about to burst!!. 🥴__Thank HEAVENS for Rivers Casino [21+ y.o] being close by- I was able to go over there to use their bathroom. 🙏[Pictures from 「Hannah Wants」 set on March 17th/18th, 2022 || Philadelphia,PA]【Recent review & longer videos from 『Claude Von Stroke』 set on September 9th, 2023】{Audio is horrendous due to my phones lack of ability to record high volume or low frequencies}
Why does it let me rate food? They have food? They have snack i think. Anyway, great venue. Workers and security are pleasant. One of the few places that lets me play with my poi. Always a good time.
It’s a shame to see such an awesome venue gain popularity and turn south, they care more about how many of their branded drinks you buy, not about good customer service. Don’t talk bad about them on instagram either or their “employees” will come out in the comments trashing you. This place needs to seriously learn how to do better business if they want to be different than other similar venues.
Awesome place to catch Top tier EDM artists. Theres a parking lot across the street. You can grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. You go once youll keep coming back!! Cant wait for NGHTMRE
As someone who goes to shows alone all of the time, I like to feel safe and comfortable and The Ave does a great job. I have never felt unsafe at the venue and the vibes have always been super positive. I love all of the artists that come and the sense of intimacy that the small venue provides for us ravers. I’m always looking forward to my next show!
Typically, I do not write reviews but felt this one was necessary. I’m a big supporter of the Ave and have never had any major issues with the venue but last night I was denied entry because I was “visibly intoxicated” yet I was actually quite sober. Though, I disagreed with the bouncers assumption, I was quite compliant and followed their instructions. After following those instructions, I came back to be let in and was still denied entry. Nothing about my demeanor or look would indicate I was intoxicated so you can understand my confusion. Security seems to pick and choose who they let in and provide no context other than “you look intoxicated” which is extremely unfair especially when you spent money on a ticket and are not visibly intoxicated. Not sure if the bouncer was having a bad day or the venue found a loop hole on how to steal from its patrons by pleading intoxication, either way it’s unfortunate. I have treated/ will continue to treat the Ave with respect and I expect the same in return. Unfortunately, last night that mutual respect seemed to fall short on their end. I’m all for positivity and good vibes so I did not write this to speak ill of the ave but rather voice my concerns in hope that these issues are addressed and the ave becomes a more welcoming place.
Came to Philly with my boyfriend to go see Infekt last weekend. We get to the venue everything is fine until me and him went up to the bar to get cups of water. Little did we know we weren’t suppose to have water downstairs considering we were visiting from Maryland then all of a sudden my boyfriend gets assaulted by one of the shorter security guards over a cup of water. Ruined the whole vibe for us and we ended up leaving early. Fix your security team. I’m talking about the shorter bald dude by the steps. He grabbed my boyfriend on the back so hard he was in pain from it. Very disappointed I had higher expectations of the ave.
Would love to give this place 5 stars because I did have a great time. But the heat inside is just unbearable. The heat wave should not affect the A/C inside the building. Turn it up.
Went out last weekend and ran into I think his name was Reign, he was amazing super nice and professional with everyone he came in contact with. Never felt any safer, with him n his team around—Plus I had a great time
They really need new management. $5 waters, no central air, terrible security, and, more than anything, way too oversold events. The Ave pretends it’s an airline, assuming people won’t show up so they overbook and let the masses swarm. I could forgive all if it because the venue is fantastic, but when ambulances come every show bc it’s too hot and there’s too many people and no air flow, it does Not become worth it. Please stay away if you have any medical condition.
No recycling 😱😭🫣 come on it’s 2024 !! Please change this for 🌎 month! —- that’s why I put 4 stars ! But if there was recycling this venue would get 5 stars from me - it’s truly a 🪩ravers dream🪩 (minus lack of recycling & sadness of TONS of alcohol containers/water bottles going in trash) ! If you love house music - this will be a fav spot for sure 🦄 (& will become even more epic if it becomes more eco conscious)
This is a great venue. The sound system is amazing. There is ample space in the back where it is less loud. Closer to the stage you may want some sort of earbuds to dampen the sound sometimes. The bartenders are amazing and do offer cups of water if needed. For really busy concerts it may be hard to get to the bar and they did open up a water station for bottled water. Drinks are actually reasonably priced, at least the craft beers on tap that I have had. The staff is cool and professional. I love this place!!
This is one of the best experiences Ive had in Philly! This rave was insane! I went to experience Barely Alive, solo. I went alone and met 30-something new friends! The vibratory rate was and still is immense. Good times, good times!
Inexperienced security staff refused entry to half of our group with absolutely no reasoning. It seems they pick and choose who is allowed entry to fit the vibe. Security being on a power trip prior to even entering the venue is never a good sign.
Normally one of my favorite venues. Went last night and they way oversold the venue. The thing I liked so much about the venue was the ability to move and have a little space. Last night you couldn’t move at all and constant shoving
Do you like paying for a show and not being admitted for no valid reason? If so, this venue is for you. I went twice. First time on a Saturday with friends. I had fun and security was friendly. Second time was a Friday, on my own. Completely different security folks. I got a weird vibe. Sure enough, after studying my license for an absurdly long time, the guard replied, Youre drunk, we cant let you in. I replied, Nope, I havent drank anything.” I reached out to the venue, and received no response. I’ll be going elsewhere in the future.
Every time I’ve ever been to the Ave it’s always been a great time. The lights/display are 9/10. If they had tons of lasers I’d give it a 10 but it’s still pretty amazing.
The artist I came to see didn’t come on til 12:30am and the tickets said 9:30pmThey should communicate that the real show won’t start til 12:30am.By the time the Dj I paid for came on, the entire venue, all the way to the back was completely crowded. You couldn’t even see the stage. It was stifling in there with poor ventilation. You had to have your drink in designated 21+ areas because they let people under 21 in. So you couldn’t just roam free. You were stuck in an area not able to dance
The drinks were good. The AC was not nearly enough ofr nghtmre. I had to leave early because of the heat.
Clearly security has changed here the last month. I went for the first time at the beginning of December, had no issues getting in through security. Tried to go in on Jan 26, 30 seconds between me getting out of the car with my friends and walking up to security and handing him my ID, I was the only one of my group denied entry by a young white male security guard because I was “visibly intoxicated”, I’ve had nothing to drink nor anything else in my system. I don’t like assuming this about a person or establishment but I can’t help but think if he had homophobic reasonings for denying only me entry. The only queer of my group. He genuinely had no other reason to deny me entry and everyone else to go through. Will not be back and will not encourage others to go.
Updating Spring 2024. Ive seen Acraze, Layz, Oliver Heldens, Madeon, and PhaseOne here now. With as many concert venues as Philly does have, its always surprised me how few cater to the huge EDM market here. The Ave gives folks who want to dance a great spot to do so with pretty affordable tickets, and an awesome crowd of regulars. I usually dont hit clubs because of how cliquey folks can be, but in my experience at the Ave, as long as youre friendly and open to meeting new people, youll find people to dance with.Dont get me wrong, the venue isnt perfect - no spot is - and like most venues in Philly it can feel pretty cramped when shows sell out here. If you get claustrophobic at indoor shows with big crowds, definitely make sure you check ahead to see what tier your show is on before showing up. That being said, the less packed shows Ive been at have always been a blast. Youll have a few bad apples at any concert, but I find that the Ave consistently attracts a pretty amazing crowd of people. Even at the shows Ive been with major mosh pits, everyones done a good job of looking out for each other, and Ive never felt unsafe there.Water is free in cups at the main bar, and $5:00 for a bottle. Theyve done a good job installing fans to address overheating concerns, but be warned, it still gets HOT in there.Your mileage may vary on being able to see the stage on busier nights, but Ive really come to love the columns scattered throughout the dance floor. Do they block some views? Sure. But there arent many other mainstream spots I know of locally that match the joy of climbing up jungle-gym style to watch your favorite DJ throw down. Head to the front if you want to headbang, the middle if you want to bop, and stay in the back for the flow artists and more interpretive dancers. All in all, one of my favorite venues in the city. Only suggestion I have is to add some non-alc beer to your menu so folks have the option if they want to rave sober.
I’m writing a review to help remind myself to STOP GOING TO SHOWS AT THE AVE. Bright lights in this venue give dance recital. Looking to let loose and dance anonymously in a sea of partygoers? You will instead enjoy multiple spotlights on you and everyone around you, causing you to lock eyes with the cardigans and baseball caps constantly scanning the room while you’re just trying to see the stage from behind a pole.
Well maintained, spacious (3 bars, 2vip sections, and seating for ga) for nights with a larger crowd, staff is great (especially the bathroom lady who gives out mints). They also have a snack bar sometimes which sounds silly but has saved my life on multiple occasions. Merch stand and vendors on occasion as well. basically a staple to night life in Philly for the edm community. Definitely recommend.
So glad to see I’m not the only person that has had issues with security here - they enforced a bag policy that was not on their website, took their sweet time checking IDs while people waited in the pouring rain, and harassed me on my way out of the building because I stopped briefly to put on my coat. Won’t be coming back here, all these acts also play Avant Gardner in Brooklyn and you’re better off going there
This is a re-review. Have been to the Ave now 3 times (Nora En Pure twice, and Green Velvet once) in the past year. Upping from 4>5 stars. Were into house music so have to wait for acts we like - seems like mostly its bass stuff there.Yeah, when its really crowded, mid-summer, in the middle of the floor its pretty hot, but at the back its easy to cool off if you need it. Hundreds of people dancing hard - you kinda expect it to be a bit sweaty LOL!Staff have always been super friendly and professional.Improvement - the lights/screens seem more elaborate the last 2 times we went, and the sound was better too. Its loud up front but still can hear the mids/highs.Having a great time here - keep it up!
The venue isn’t too bad. They oversell sometimes and it gets uncomfortably crowded, but they’ve been putting in new amenities like lasers. The weakest points are that the AC can’t keep up and despite spending money on lasers and leds for the bathroom hallway they still haven’t fixed the speakers in the rear 21+ area so if you’re in the back everything is muffled and quiet. Some of us don’t want to fight to the front and it would be nice for a music venue to spend money on audio so that half the space isn’t dead.
Security denied my friend access for her ID and then laughed when we walked away saying it was fake. Now Im fighting with tixr to get my $70 back
Good sound, cool lasers/LED screens , good drinks, and friendly staff. My only complaint would be that they have made a lot of space vip/table service only now so the ga area can get VERY over crowded to the point where its uncomfortable some nights. Going for big names like subtronics or Sullivan King can honestly kinda suck because its so oversold you cant even move or dance but if you see a less popular artist its a perfect venue for small edm concerts.
By far my favorite venue in the city to catch a show. The sound has seriously improved and whoever is balancing the sound up there really knows what they’re doing. The stage and floor has also improved with great lighting and the co2 blasters. All the staff from the people at the door to the bartenders are super nice. Unlocked Presents has the in on all the best artists so you get the best lineups for prices you can’t beat… mostly free shows. Idk how but I love it. Sometimes the people attending can be a little rough but that’s not their fault and comes with being at a show I guess.
Place was great. Seen Tinlicker. It’s gets a little crammed. People just don’t give space though. We’re there to dance, not bump elbows. Parking is right next to building if you get lucky. Dress code is almost casual. Awesome vibes, I’d go back for sure.
My absolute favorite venue! Been going here for a year now and definitely go at least once a month. They get some great artists and the staff is always super nice and helpful. If you get hot or need some space they have a little outside area you can stand at. If you’re looking for a fun place to headbang this is it!
Great venue, nice bar staff, good vibe. But as many others stated, security is unreal!!! TSA is nicer then these folks. Super strict, crazy pat downs, checked my keys, yes my keys for like 2 mins. Management fix your security! Would come back for the right artist, beside that to much of a hassle for the price.
5 stars for the top notch booking this past year, 4 for upgraded sound, 2 for everything else.Bar staff and other venue personnel are great, lots of former Fillmore folks. Some smaller venues can be a great experience for these larger acts but The Ave misses this mark. The best viewing areas are often carved out for bottle service. Limited view of stage in most areas due to the pillars (even if they are considered to be a staple of the venue by the owners). Vibe depends on how many people they pack into the venue, but is often overcrowded.
Always have so much fun here. I have seen some of the best artists perform at the Ave. Its a very spacious venue so you always have room to dance or socialize. The shows I went have been nothing short of memorable and worthwhile experiences. The owners of this venue have put a lot of love into it! I will definitely be back.
The Ave has definitely become the Philly venue I’m going to most often. Super affordable shows for artists who seem way too significant to be that cheap. really cool venue, friendly staff, decently-priced drinks. My only complaint, which unfortunately is an important one, is the sound. This is probably the only venue I find myself continually begging that the music be louder, and honestly even have to stop and focus sometimes to try and just hear it over the sounds of the crowd. Visuals are okay, and I’ll call them great once they get some lasers in that place.TL,DR: Great place, just make it louder!
This has become my regular stomping grounds for EDM shows. Love the atmosphere and the vibes. They always have really affordable pricing and sometimes have free shows or Discounts you can use. Ive even won free tickets too. Great place to go if you love to dance and just have a great time. ALSO PLS BRING BACK THE AVE BASEBALL CAP I WANTS TO BUY LOL
My fav EDM/dubstep venue in philly! This place is so amazing! From the separate 21+ areas to the temperature of the inside never being hot, to all the photo op setups this place is really cool. I love that they are getting more and more bigger and known name djs. I’ll keep coming back!
Great venue, the sound and lights are perfect, we had a great time! There is plenty of space if you need some fresh air as well. Keep up the good work!
Easily my favorite venue in Philly. The artists that are booked there are always so amazing and I have a great experience at every show. I love the atmosphere and the crowds there! The staff is very friendly and also extremely helpful, especially the women’s bathroom attendant!!!!! The free ticket shows are always a blast and the ticketed shows are reasonably priced. I’ve seen some of my favorite artists here and always love to spend a weekend outing there.
Cheap ticket prices for top acts - we saw Nora En Pure - her set was awesome. Was pretty packed, like too packed to move even back away from the front/center as the set started. Opened up a bit later thankfully.Great crowd, very mixed, eclectic, friendly, good vibes. Were old, and never felt too out-of-place.Staff was friendly, bathrooms clean considering the volume, and lines were minimal.Drinks were reasonable for a club in the city.Sound though, I thought it was pretty bad. All bass, very muddy, mids and highs seemed too quiet. The pillars are a pain, and it was too packed to get anywhere near the middle.Lights/smoke/effects were basic but we were there for the music so not a big deal.
Always going to the ave when the fests aren’t happening. I miss how the shows were mostly free last year tho. $15 average if you’re early isn’t bad at all
Used to love this venue but they have made some unwelcome changes recently. Most notably the bartenders have started overcharging, double charging, sometimes triple charging peoples cards then just arguing when they are confronted. Events in the past few months have been severely oversold, the venue gets crowded beyond reason and becomes impossible to navigate.
This is the best spot for Djs and music. The vibe is chill, the crowd is mostly pleasant and the security isnt harassing you out of a good time (thats a shout out to Notos unfriendly security). This is my go to hang out spot. And they always snag premium artists. Head to the ave, screw Noto
There was a man on the phone named Brian and he hooked me up with some very helpful information. Me and my associates strongly agree that he deserves a raise. Thank you Brian you are in our hearts forever
Last weekend was my first time visiting the Ave for the Cloonee event. Being new to the EDM scene I wasn’t sure what to expect of such a venue but when I arrived I was able to find parking easily, not sure if it was free or legal but no ticket. Security was thorough so no doubt we were safe inside. My brother got scammed on a ticket but staff was very nice and accommodating. The space is pretty large with a lounge area that could use a little more seating if it’s a bigger event. Maybe a 3rd bar could speed up drink lines but we didn’t have to wait very long, prices were as expected for a music venue, not cheap but also not too expensive, most you’ll pay is $10-$11 from what i saw on menu. Coat check is $5 which is worth it if you get cold leaving I guess. The sound and lighting is the best part of this venue. You can feel the bass no matter where you standing, even without earplugs I didn’t feel like the sound was overwhelming standing in the back middle. The lights will keep you entertaining if you are able to see them, maybe eventually they will add more screens to the side walls for more coverage. Overall I had a great time and I’m looking forward to many more great nights here.
Best long standing consistent venue in Philadelphia. Ran by the best in the industry. The staff they hire is fantastic and I feel very welcome every time I go which is a lot. Drink prices very competitive with the city. Acts are some of the best around right now. Highly recommend checking this place out. Sound system is good, the vibe is great. Always proud to tell people enjoy a show here.
Love this place, hands down one of my favorite venues in Philly. Very affordable or free tickets every weekend. It’s the perfect size venue to actually be able to see the performers wherever you are. Highly recommend for a really fun and inexpensive night out with friends in the city.
Great venue with great staff. I have been attending shows regularly for about a year now and it has only gotten better with upgrades to their Soundsystem as well as their led panels. If you want an inexpensive excellent night out theres no better option than the ave, most shows are free or very reasonable.
Would be nice if they could keep the AC running once everyone starts piling in.Maybe its a grift to sell more $20 hand fans.Lineups are goodSound quality is goodDrinks are priceyAir-conditioning sucks
I was beat up in the woman’s bathroom by a girl and nobody took her off of me. It was a random attack. I’m not from philly. DONT GO TO THIS CLUB. They refused to call the police and manipulated me into thinking I was the aggressor when in fact multiple witnesses have said it was a RANDOM ATTACK FOR I AM NOT FROM HERE. I am terrified of this place. I got my phone taken and was denied access to get my phone multiple times and the OWNER told me that I needed to get off the property. I was told that this girl is very close with the owner so that’s why the club sided with her. Very disappointed and will be taking further action. Don’t go here not a safe place.
Drinks are kind of pricey (as to be expected). Great venue though. Sound system is killer too.
The upstairs bar and stage bar are absolutely fantastic and hard to miss. great staff as always too
Came to see Audien. Had a good time. The staff was fairly relaxed and non-aggressive. The bathrooms were accessible and large so there wasnt too much of a line. $5 for a bottle of water is a bit much. The audio levels were well done for the openers, not aggresively loud so you could enjoy the music. Once the headliner came on tho it got blaringly loud. Dont forget earplugs
By far the best venue in Philly. Love the staff and love the energy. If you want a good EDM spot in Philly, come here. It’s always a great experience and environment 🫶🏼
Security is run really poorly. Ive been kicked out for simply being outside near the fence but still in the smoking area, and another time a security guard grabbed my just-opened drink out of my hand and threw it out without saying a single word to me. I only keep coming back for the artists they book and would prefer any other place to this one.
The Ave is my home away from home! They are constantly improving the experience every time I go. The bartenders and security are always so friendly, the drinks are fairly priced and the sound system is top notch! By far the best club for the edm scene in the area.
Incredible venue with great atmosphere, sound, music and people. The staff and management who run this establishment have gone above and beyond to bring something extremely special to Philly. They’re efficient, professional, and always looking out for their patrons. Looking forward to returning to one of my favorite venues soon!
Such a great venue, my favorite in Philly! The tickets are priced great and the artists that play are all top tier. If you want to go to a great venue with multiple different edm genres playing ever weekend, this is the place for you! The ave is a great atmosphere for the edm scene and a venue I have been going to for years. Definitely one to keep on the lookout, the artists already coming in in 2023 are absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great venue. The staff is very attentive and quick to respond to any requests we had. It’s always a pleasure coming here for good music and just good vibes.
Very cool venue, in a relatively nice area of Philly. Went to this concert with my good friends as it might be my last. This venue is a little tight but has enough space, there is a lounge area (not VIP, THANK GOODNESS), for resting and refueling. There are 3 separate bars and even a snack center. This being said, it was an awesome time in an equally awesome venue. RECOMMENDED!
Hands down my favorite venue in Philly! Amazing sound system, non-stop amazing artists every single weekend, and the staff is always super friendly. I just wish they had some lasers, but besides that, I have not a single other complaint.
I always enjoy this place. Sometimes they don’t communicate what’s happening with age restrictions but other than that their great. Water is a bit expensive too. It’s like 5 for a bottle and 6 for a redbull. It gets super hot once everyone starts dancing.
Security are incompetent and act like they real feds. Me and my girl walked out to get some air cause place smelled like weed and cigs and they kicked us out for no reason. Spent 50 dollars on tickets and didnt even get to watch main show. Kids throwing up in the bathroom and people have medical emergencies and they worried about me and my girl getting air. Never going back to this place and I would go to any other club in philly. Place is trash. I know why it fell off now.. drinks overpriced and non freindly staff... hope this helps people thinking about going here for shows..
When I first started going to The Ave, I only went because it was the only place that played the music and had the environment I wanted on a Friday/Saturday night. But now, let me tell you, not only has the atmosphere had upgrades, but the sound quality has increased so much, that it almost feels wrong to be able to hit the club for free every other weekend. The caliber of artists hitting The Ave is also so incredible, the scene is coming back and I’m so glad to be around for it. Great drinks, great music, great atmosphere-great to the core. I can’t wait to see what The Ave does in the next coming year. Come to The Ave, you’ll not only have a good time, but you’ll want to keep coming back, and it’ll feel like home. Because it feels like home to me.
Saw Kream here, it was okay. The event was 18+ so not allowing alcohol on the dance floor makes sense, but no water?
The best venue for any type of edm in the entire city. I look forward to coming here almost every single weekend and I never get let down. It’s always a fun time, the vibes are immaculate, the bar service is quick, and the music is great. Ladies and gents, if you’re looking for a night to remember, search no further.
Nice place, but definitely pregame before going.Drinks are $11 and watered down. Tequila sunrise tasted like a fruit drink. No re-entry to the venue which is trash, especially considering the drinks suck. They search you.DJ (side piece) was nice so 5/5 for that.
One of the better venues in philly for EDM shows. Good amount of space and up to four bars. Have been to a bunch of events here and my only complaint is the speaker system could be improved (quality wise) and typically the speakers back by the 21+ bar at mixed age shows aren’t always on.
Really good venue for EDM shows. The 21+ shows are the best since you can go in the crowd with your drink. The top bars have been redecorated and look great! Waiting for the lasers but overall a good venue!
Love the Ave!!! And I love how they do 18+ shows and let us baby ravers get a chance to enjoy the rave culture! They have some the best djs come out and put on a amazing set! Only issue is you should hand out free water to prevent people dehydration some people don’t wanna leave the crowd n hydrate! But overall amazing venue and good djs!
This place has become a home for me! Here every weekend and I love everything about it, except I wish they had some sort of fan or AC system because it does get really, really hot so make sure to bring a handfan!! Security and bar staff are very nice and ive never had any problems there. Sound system is really good, missing some lasers tho.. lol.. I love that they have free shows quite often too with great lineups!
Kicked me out because I questioned why they threw out my just purchased beverage which they took out of my hand without saying a single word to me. Just… talk to your customers?? Have better doormen (3 of them??) who will actually say you can’t take a drink to the smoking area before their boss comes along and does the extreme?Updated to 2 stars because their bookings this year have been amazing and well priced.
My go to place in philly, the venue is sick and it’s just overall a really cool and fun place
Honestly, The Ave Live is truly a gem in Philly nightlife, from the owners to the staff and the quality of the venue, it is hands down of the best venues in the country! Philadelphia is blessed to have this venue with the best acts in dance music coming week after week! If this venue and the team behind it werent doing what they are doing there would be a huge hole in the Philadelphia EDM scene. I would rate this 100/100 if I could!
*Second edit below.Last time here the bathroom overflowed all over and they had no bathrooms available for customers. It was a special event night and ticket prices were high. They would not allow anyone to leave the venue (to find a bathroom) and return. We all had to leave since after hours of drinking most of us needed a bathroom badly. They refused reentry and refused refunds. Its a shame that they clearly have sanitary issues and very poorly mishandled the situation. I tried contacting management to no avail.***Updating this review.Awesome venue. Very friendly vibes.BUT... been here maybe 5 times now. And every single time the mens bathroom has been extremely dirty. Like one of the worst bathrooms Ive seen in the Philly scene. To management: please work on this. Every toilet last Saturday had dried vomit on the seats and every single time Ive been here the bathroom floors have puddles (of what??). Its extremely vulgar.
If you’re into electronic music such as house, drum and bass, and dubstep, this is the venue to go to. the ave live is arguably my favorite venue to go to almost every weekend for a good show. shows get announced weekly. lots of small and big dj’s come by here. tickets are generally cheap especially if you get them ahead of time online. the vibes are amazing. the staff is friendly and security is pretty chill. easy to go alone or a group of friends. love this place and i hope it never goes outta business!!!!!
Best EDM venue in Philly hands down. While the GA area is spacious and a blast, my favorite thing to do is grab a section up top with a cpl homies. It IS bottle service technically but if you come with a group it’s honestly the same as paying for individual drinks at the bar AND you get a better view of the show.
Been coming to the Ave so much the past year! Great venue for EDM lovers. Come as you are and dance your a$$ off! They book amazing talent spanning over all different electronic genres. My favorite shows Ive see at The Ave were Subtronics in 2021 and Black Carl! in 2022 for a 360 degree experience.
The ave live is by far the best EDM venue in the area. They play lots of great DJs for a great price, drinks are fairly priced at around ~10$ for a heavy vodka cran. Sound system is great for a club and they have good lasers and production. Vibes are great and always lots of room, highly recommend. Been coming here regularly since november 2021.
Disappointed in this venue. For starters the sound is awful. For having so many bass heavy artists you’d think the sound system would be decent. The 21 up section which you have to stay in to even have a drink was extremely tight. There was no way to see the dj and the sound was awful. Also the female bartender was shorting people on change. It happens to myself and 2 others I was with. I ordered one beer and a water and she gave me 3 dollars back. We learned that she was keeping the fives… very disappointed
Love this place for EDM shows. I feel like Im here like almost every other week. Sound is great and theyve got lasers now!
My favorite place to go out in Philly! Line to get in moves fast, ticket prices are VERY reasonable, and I always have a pleasant experience. There are both standing room areas and non-VIP booths/lounge areas, which is great when you wanna sit for a drink before the show starts. Just waiting on some lasers now…
THIS IS A SCAM COMPANY!!! READ THIS THREAD FIRST!!!this companys practices are highly questionable. I implore potential customers to exercise extreme caution before purchasing tickets. On multiple occasions, Ive noticed they put up free tickets on the day of the event, leaving those who paid upfront feeling short-changed. They seem to prioritize their profits over customer satisfaction and experience. One distressing incident involved a situation where the venue had flooding in the basement, rendering the bathrooms unusable. Instead of closing or offering refunds, the company chose to stay open, causing great inconvenience to customers. As a patron whos been to The Ave on numerous occasions, Ive noticed that while they do offer free entry before 11 pm, its not a consistent practice. It seems to be a tactic deployed when ticket sales are low. Ive been in situations where my $40 tickets were devalued, offering me just a single drink in exchange. Its concerning that The Aves response to my complaints has been defensive, attempting to discredit my claims rather than addressing them constructively. Their responses appear more focused on protecting their image than rectifying the customer experience. This is a stark warning for all potential customers. Please consider these points before engaging with this company.TIP TO ALL: if you do go to the Avenue, make sure you do NOT buy a ticket, only go for FREE. lastly only get one drink there because it isn’t worth the price.
One of, if not, the best club in Philadelphia/surrounding area. This place is always so fun. They have great security who are always looking out for the safety of everyone and the bartenders/staff is always so kind. They also have the best bottle deals for vip sections too. Best of all, the artist they bring are top tier and their sound system is easily the best in the philly. 10/10 would go every weekend if I could.
Hands down top avenue to be at around the area. Will not find any venue that will show you the experiences you can have here. Enjoy the show, and loved the vibes everytime
Venue is alright, went there for the first time and was very respectful in the line only for the black girl security guard to catch an atittude for no reason. Somebody tell sis this isnt a military base and to chill out before she catches someone on the wrong day. Shes really not that big to be acting like shes about that life either.
The ave feels like home. such a special venue, I love getting to run around with my friends being menaces. I love that the ave offers free shows often, that is very PLUR of them. There are two bars, make sure ton check out the bar in the back! Good vibes all around for the people. Show love spread love
The Ave brings some of the best EDM artists around and features artists from Philly often. Much love to the staff who clearly care for the attendees and their health and well being. Good vibes. Not too expensive for the shows or the drinks. All around highly recommend!
I’ve experienced some of the best EDM shows here and for that reason the Ave, brings me such nostalgia. To top it off, during a show I lost my phone and thought I’d never see it again. A week later I came back to try to find it and I spoke with the owner. He was kind enough to send a worker to look for it and 10 minutes later he returned my phone to me! 🥺 I am forever grateful!
Solid crowd and great sound system. Really establishing themselves as THE EDM club in Philly with reputable artists like Sidepiece, Matroda, Chris lake. Huge props to them for gathering a great diversity of artists, along with incredibly affordable ticket prices. Will definitely be frequently coming to this venue.
This place has been on the come up for years now. Speakers, visuals and overall features are always being updated. It’s easy to buy tickets and drinks. Prices are pretty reasonable. The only reason I am leaving 4 stars is they have changed their artists to more house than dubstep over the years, which is why I stared going back then.
Definitely my favorite spot in the city! Great to go with a group or solo! Drinks aren’t expensive and all the staff and security are wonderful :) 100% recommend if your in the city and want to dance the night away!
What an amazing venue, if you are into heavy dubstep music; this place delivers. amazing headliner artists every weekend, mostly free for tickets with great visuals/lights and a bangin soundsystem that gets louder as the night goes on. i have a great time, every time i come. thank you for delivering us the music we love in a violent and beautiful obscene fashion. also the bar staff is on point, be sure to tip!
10000/10 venue. It’s literally my favorite venue ever after being every where in the USA for edm. The venue is a great intimate size that pulls headlining names! Support sound system and production they are always addin onto! The staff is amazing as well since it was founded by men who truly care about the scene. Awesome security who isn’t over bearing but cares about safety is a huge thing being in philly. Plus amazing bartenders who take care of they regulars! I actually met the love of my life here and now being in denver we talk about how much we miss our ave nights. Thank you the ave and unlocked boys. Can’t wait to come back in 2023! I miss coming two to three times a week to support the venue, promotion company, and artists. The edm scene in philly is alive and well thanks to them
In the past i wouldve given this place 5 stars. Ive been to this venue countless times since theyve opened up. The upgrades were super awesome and well appreciated. Im not sure what changed in the past few months but the vibe is awful. More vip/bottle service sections were added, which makes the GA space DANGEROUSLY crowded. There is less space but it seems like theyre selling the same amount or possibly even more tickets. Whatever ac/ventilation they have feels non-existent due to over crowding. It feels as hot as it did before you got the new ac LAST summer.
The best venue/club in Philly!! Great shows every weekend. The new owners are amazing and so is the staff. Some of my best memories have been here! Highly recommend. Great for any EDM lovers.
The Ave is always such an enjoyable experience! The staff are incredibly polite, it’s clean, safe, and we always have a great time here. The owner is always involved in making sure the customer experience is second to none. The best of the best talent is always booked and on the event schedule. Highly recommend!
Usually the only reason I go to Philly absolutely love this place! Always great artists performing at a great price. Love the vibe & art inside of it there … my only comment about room for improvement is I wish they would crank the air conditioner in there a lil more it gets very hot lol other than that absolutely 10/10 recommend & will be back!
Good club experience with a quality soundsystem and excellent visual displays. The security is very relaxed, especially compared to the crew at Soundgarden. They are 420 tolerant. The only drawback is the expensive drinks.
Its so nice having a dedicated edm venue in philly. Theres a real sense of the edm community at the ave and its awesome. Lots of free dubstep and house shows. They allow all kinds of flow props too. The staff is always nice and friendly. I come here all the time and would highly recommend to anyone
Nice venue. Over price water! Unclean bathrooms. Security is a joke. A friend of mine had a piece of jewelry fallout and bounce just under the front rail between the crowd and the stage. When he reached down to grab it off the ground through the bar, security grabbed him and kicked him out the venue because he didnt wait to the end of the show to grab it. The next show he was kicked out again and told he didnt have a ticket. Everyone in the group had tickets and we were able to prove that we had tickets to the security guard. We told him you must have the wrong person. We have our tickets and can show you, but they didnt want to hear anything and just pushed our friend out for no reason.
Phillys best hidden gem. If you appreciate the sanctity of festival and rave culture, this is the place to go! I cant believe this has been sitting right under my nose for two years (since I moved to Philly) and I havent known what I was missing!
Once laser are installed only then can I call it a 5 star haha. The owners are amazing people, never had an issue with the staff. Always bringing in the best of producer from the bass community, to house. Love how Edm friendly they are
Dababy show suppose to start at 9:30 it’s 12 am and still no artists at all and the dj who keep asking who birthday is it? And if y’all ready to see the baby? Get ya hands up! Like how many hours do u think I’m supposed to have my hands up! TRASH!! Worst concert experience ever!
Saw my fav DJ here. Was my first show after living in LA for 2 years and going to shows a lottt. Didn’t know what the expect of the venue but it was awesome. I love how much space there is. Different vibe than any other place i’ve went to, in the best way!
The venue was cool. bought water from the bar and having to smuggle it on to the dance floor is wild…
Started 2023 off by seeing Doctor P at The Ave... Finished it seeing Caspa! What a year! The Ave was great... Only downside is they take your gum at the door.
I’ve been going to this venue since 2015, through 3 name changes and the ave is the best I’ve seen it yet! I never feel uncomfortable or out of place. The staff and security are extremely nice and make sure that everyone that comes in is having the best experience possible. Not to mention the drinks aren’t ridiculously overpriced like most of the clubs in Philly. Definitely recommend stopping by if you get the chance!
Easily a fav venue of mine the staff is thorough, in handling any conflicts, the wait to get a drink is the quickest of any venue that size ive been too, and there setup/ equipment is great, not to mention they book some of my favorite talents easy 5 starts love you ave see you this weekend
I love The Ave. Such a fun spot. Music and vibes are always top notch. Friendly staff, always taken care of with great professionalism. Bottle service A++. Crowd is fun… if you’re a fan of fun - this is a place not to be missed.
Solid venue. Sound upgrade this past year was nice. Love how they have a bunch of free shows. Would be 5 stars if every show was 21+ so they didn’t have to section off the bars
Great venue, top notch djs, true edm lovers, great vibes. hope it doesn’t get too popular to be honest. The few people complaining about stuff here seem to be the types who would better enjoy places with 25 dollar cocktails, dress codes, and 30 dollar covers. The ave is NOT that and I’m so happy for that. Keep the ave the ave!
Best venue in the city, Great sound, plenty of space, some of my most favorite artists have passed through here. I have met so many wonderful people and new friends through this venue too.
This place is a GODSEND. Im seeing producers I never expected to have the chance to see. Saw my favorite artist here (Space Laces)... ULTIMATE Bucket List item. Thanks guys!PS ticket prices are totally acceptable ($20-$30 max, aside from Bottle Service tables...)
Edit. I didnt understand everyone complaining about security until tonight. Im 37, and I go to the ave almost every weekend. Earlier tn I ordered gopuff so I accidentally left my id at home. I think nbd its not 21+ I dont need to drink. I waited in line 45min 12degrees for them to refuse to let me in without a state id this makes zero sense. I could go across the street and buy cigarettes without an id. Im obviously over 18. I even showed them my vax card w my birthdate. The ave has every bass artist I want to see. The sound is amazing. Drink prices are decent. A lot of good people go every weekend.I hate the pillars. You cant see a thing if someone popular is playing. I dont like when its packed wall to wall with people, like Sullivan King and Level up recently. And I dont like that the bar is railed off.
Top notch DJs from all over the world frequent this venue bringing talent from all genres of electronic music.. house, dubstep, trap, trance, d&b and more.Owned & operated by deeply passionate members of the electronic dance community. The owners put there heart into making this venue one of the best places for music in Philadelphia and the east coast music scene.- Noah
I have seen so many of my favorite artists here and I love it!!! Always a good vibe. Be there for Matroda && Dimension/Reaper on Halloween ❤️😤
Love it here but owner, you need to tell security to loosen up a little. We just want to had fun. I had 2 drinks before I came and was questioned as to how drunk I was.
I was thrilled when the old Sound Garden reopened as the Ave. They made some major upgrades to the venue and sound system, but overall it is once again a safe, welcoming space where you can enjoy world renowned and local producers.
It’s so amazing and I can literally dance all night long!
WORST CLUB: My friends were roofied at this club and the staff, bouncers, and security handled the situation terribly and worsened everything. A nightclub should be prepared for these types of situations but this venue was not equip to handle anything like this. Absolutely never going back here.
I’ve been coming here pretty frequently for over a year (since they first opened) and my experience has been nothing but magical. The staff is really there for you and the crowd/audience is the best i have seen in any philly rave! so much that i have gone to shows by myself and always come out with a group of friends or an afterparty invite haha. plus there’s pleeeenty of free parking! I call the ave my second home and i can’t remember my life before it :’)
This venu still kicks! The setup in this cellar style stage really keeps the sound pulsing through the crowed; you can see peoples reactions when that deep base drops in. The missing star is for the poor organization for bathrooms and bars. They really put a lot trust in their guests to keep themselves organized in que lines. Which pretty much guarantees people will cut in. 4/5 would recommend to a friend.
Waiting outside in the cold is always worth to get into this place. Venue is sick and had a ton of incredible EDM names often times with free/cheap entry. Absolutely love it.
Awesome venue. Best in Philly for all things electronic. Reasonable drink/ticket prices, great atmosphere, and they are always getting a great mix of big names and up and coming local talent. LOVE THIS PLACE
Incredible venue and even more incredible hospitality! The Unlocked Presents group did an absolutely outstanding job by reinvigorating Philadelphia’s EDM Nightlife by bringing back a diverse and high quality array of EDM DJs like JOHN SUMMIT, ARMNHMR, Joel Curry, Sullivan King, EXCISION, Nurko, MiTis, Virtual Riot and so many other big names in the Philly EDM Scene which is still such a growing potential in this fast-growing city! They deliver also outstanding hospitality and customer service to their guests, whether General Admission (GA) or their VIP Clientele.Having been on both ends; GA & VIP, I’ve experienced such an Amazing White-Glove type of service, especially on the VIP side, Which in Philadelphia, still lacks delivering top service even at the most premier Philly clubs. Both the general staff from their servers to security guards to even the owners themselves have truly left a remarkable experience and there is nothing but warm and inviting memories when considering to return to The AveThey reignited the old memories of their predecessor venue, “SoundGardenHall” where years ago brought out big named DJs also before they were closed for years, but this time, The Ave has done miles more than what SoundGardenHall could have ever done!I absolutely recommend this venue for anyone looking to dabble further in the EDM Philly nightlife and want to get exceptional service!
Mediocre setting with a below average sound system. Never been to a venue where you have to que up in line for 20 mins just to have a beer! Again the sound system is a big downer and my suggestion would be stay away!!
Been coming here for almost ten years. Its got gross bathrooms, terrible ventilation, and pretty awful staff that doesnt really care or isnt paid enough to care. BUT this venue is a staple for the EDM community in Philly and has been around for awhile. I used to know it as Soundgarden Hall and it was a second home for me for the longest time. A great place to escape to with friends and see good artists put on food shows.
From someone who has been raving in LA for over a decade (Exchange, Academy, Time, etc.), this venue has a really cool vibe. Staff and security real friendly and bathrooms are kept clean. Saw Meduza here and it was dope
THE PLACE to go for EDM shows in Philly! The staff are amazing and really care about creating a safe fun environment for everyone. They bring in some of the best DJs and have one of if not the best sound system in Philly. If you love EDM and havent experienced a show at The Ave you are definitely missing out!
The woman scanning tickets at the door is completely unprofessional. I paid $28 not including taxes for my ticket prior to the event and they turned me away with no explanation and no refund. I used to come here every weekend, never again. Horrible establishment. Money hungry SCAMMERS.
Some of the most amazing memories of my life were made here, and will be MADE here!! I’ve seen this place go through different names, different management, and survive trying times and am so happy to have such a BANGER of a club be in my hometown of Philly!!I’ve spent a decade going to this club and this is the best it’s been! Keep on rockin on 😚
I absolutely love this place!! The staff are so kind and the artists they have never miss💗. Every time I have friends come visit me in Philly I bring them to The Ave because they never miss. I literally go here almost every weekend and I have never had a bad experience here.
Absolutely no ventilation whatsoever. When the place is packed, even on a cool night, it becomes well over 100 degrees in there. I don’t even know how this place keeps its license to operate honestly. Also the pillars block the view of whoever is performing. Dingy, dirty, looks barely slapped together. Think black painted plywood with visible nail heads. Not very “clubby”, more college basement. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else.
I love this venue. Amazing sound system, and all the best vibes! Most weekends you can catch a free show just by a simple RSVP online ahead of time. Follow their IG and get updates for ALL the shows here! 💚
Security/bouncer staff needs major improvement. Waste of time.
The ave is my absolute favorite club!! so many good memories & raves here, unique murals & decor and they’re always evolving! my only suggestion would be to level up the sound & visual/laser quality :)
Awesome venue and new sound system is good!
I love this venue. The producers and djs are great and the atmosphere is awesome. Also TRY THE AVE JUICE when you go its like a bomb @55 Moscow mule that the ave makes!!!
Great little venue along the waterfront. Almost never hard to get tickets to shows here and the atmosphere is great.Edit: changing to 4 star review. There is no posting on their website about new bag policy, and with tickets non refundable, you will be out your money and experience.
The Ave is THE best club in Philadelphia hands down. Awesome management, safe environment and a blow your mind sound system. Me and my friends have NEVER had a bad time here! Can’t wait to be back at the Ave asap
Stunning light show with bass you can feel throughout the venue, The Ave is Philly’s premier EDM venue. Chris Lorenzo and Chris Lake’s shows were out of this world, praying we can get an Anti-Up show in the future. And definitely try the Astro Juice!
I cant even express how much I love this venue. Ive met so many people through going here & not to mention they always have some of the best names in edm playing. Highly recommend checking this place out if you havent already!
Amazing venue! One of my favs! Love the bars and the space, but it’s always extremely too hot!!! Overall one of my favorite venues to see my favorite artists at!
This was a pretty good venue! Great DJs, good space, but it’s a little bare bones. The service is awesome though and luckily their bartender saved the overall vibe and made it a good experience!! Autumn was so great, she’s the reason why I’ll be back!
On principle, a venue that locks off the bathrooms BEFORE a show ends is garbage. Seems indicative of the general attitude towards the people that are there supporting the venue, not-to-mention paying their bills. If the bar is still accepting money for drinks and/or the talent is still performing then you shouldnt do that -full stop. Doesnt seem like the kind of thing I should even have to point out.Im sure the city/surrounding community appreciate all the people p*ssing in the street at the end of the night ...Response to owner: obviously that wasnt the case when I was there or I wouldnt have written this review durrrrr
Such a dope venue and great location.. variety of top artist every weekend. I had such a great night drinks were well priced and staff was friendly. I will be back !
Pretty solid venue, quick lines to get in, decent drink prices, and they just upgraded their sound system. Only complaint is the pillars that take up a lot of the dancefloor, but itd take a massive engineering feat to address that.
The ave is a place for everyone - no matter who you are, or what your you’re wearing it doesn’t matter because everyone comes together to enjoy the love of music🫶🏼 best club in Philly hands down. Oh, and you HAVE to try their Astro juice, it’s out of this world deliciousness 😋
Ive been going here since it was called soundgarden. Its not the best venue but the production company that owns it does pretty well when it comes to talent booking, events scheduling, bartending, and security. The sound could be better. My main issue with this venue is you cant get a good view of the performance unless you are in the vip sections, on the rail, close to the rail but also close to the moshpit (depending on the genre), or standing on the pillars that are obstructing everyone elses view.
I love this place!! The venue is awesome, there’s enough room to move around as well as couches to sit when you get tired. All the workers are so nice. Also the coat check is clutch!
This place is goofy. Myself and my GF were escorted out by multiple SG saying we were asleep at a reserved table….Not at all the case. In the 2hrs there we were drinking and dancing the majority of the time. We took a seat for a break and to talk. I had my arm around my girl just to hold her and rejoice some. This was our Fathers Day kid free time, so to have it ended so negatively over some weird accusation is just bizarre. Was a little upset so definitely bickered to the 2 SG walking us out. Was told the club has facial recognition software and we won’t be allowed back. All I can really say is Thanks. You’re poor decisions saved me some money and I won’t have to make the drive out again. This club.delivers 0 stars and over priced drinks: $8 White Claws and $16 for shots of whatever. Go ball out if you want to but this place sucks….
They have the best artists in the EDM scene. This place has led me to meet so many good friends and people. Best place to be on a Friday night.
Honestly love this place! Ever since they beefed up the sound system its been 10/10! They always have free shows as well! The only place that brings me away from NYC and into Philly
Very fun and lively venue, always has great shows. Sound system is top notch! All staff are very helpful and nice, will highly recommend too anyone!
I literally go to the ave almost every weekend because they have so many good artists (a wide verity of edm genres). Sound system is great, the workers are so nice and the bathroom lines are never long!
Multiple bars and lot of dancing space. My favorite dancing venue in Philly. The staff and guests are wonderful
Great Venue excellent sound and lighting! The provide alot for the EDM community in Philadelphia with a lot of cheap/free shows with big name artists on the ticket.
Honestly I always have a fun time at the Ave. I have seen Mitis, Shiba San + CID, and ARMNHMR. I will be coming back next weekend to see Kai Wachi lol. This venue will be a forever place to go with my friends since it is 18+. Lastly, I do recommend taking an Uber or if you drive, parking at the parking lot nearby.
Incredible atmosphere, highly recommend this venue. The sound quality is the best in Philly and the production is top notch. Love the staff and the crowd. 10/10
Unlocked presents still refuses to refund for their high caliber festival. I bought pre-sale tickets the year covid hit and they have been ghosting me the entire time. Refund us and Ill remove the review
Favorite place in philly for a concert. if the show is 18+ they do a good job of separating the 21+ area though i do wish it was a varying size based on the event and average ages of the attendees or something. it’s intimate, but still a large space and drinks are NOT overpriced at all which is hard to find. Parking can be tricky but i’m usually able to get street parking and i’ll just pay until midnight when it becomes free. i’d give this place 1000000 stars if i could
Great up-and-coming venue that has been attracting more and more prominent artists as of late and has a nice set up in terms of speakers/visuals. Has definitely come a long way over the past couple of years.
It gets packed but it’s always fun ! Great artists and good people
The ave is amazing. Great shows, great venue, great crowd. Definitely my #1 choice for night life in Philly
Great little EDM spot! Some great artists constantly coming in, the speaker/lighting setup is solid, and the ticket prices are pretty good.
Great venue. The booth sets up are incredible. We got one right next to the djs stage and it was awesome. The sounds at The Ave is also top tier
Best venue in Philly hands down. This past weekend I attended the riot ten show and every staff member from security to the bartenders were more helpful and polite than any other show I’ve ever been to in the city.
Best place in the city for great edm music. Best Dj’s, awesome owners and staff. Make sure you go see some shows there if you haven’t already!
This place is back and the new management made it happen! The new owners know how to show their customers a great time, the acts they bring in are top notch and the venue has had a beautiful transformation. Definitely check out some upcoming shows!
Saw Glitch Mob here and had a great time. Good space with a half floor that gives a nice view of the small stage. Would come back.
Great venue! Excellent production, sound, and atmosphere. The Ave brings in the best DJs in the world. 5 stars all around
The security did a really great job helping me diffuse a really bad situation. They went above and beyond to help calm a friend down and let me get them home safely when they were too drunk and refusing to leave. Probably the best security staff Ive ever seen at a music venue. Thanks guys.
