Overall wonderful experience. They provided detailed descriptions on how to get in the building. Smiling faces when I arrived. Everything was set up and prepared for my arrival. The sauna was set to 140F, but I believe could go up to 150F if you asked. Very reasonable price! Highly recommend.

The spa is situated in a prime city location, making it an ideal spot. I had the pleasure of experiencing a crystal bath for the first time, and I was truly fascinated by the chakra crystal and alignment. As soon as I entered the room, I was greeted by a delightful aroma. The appointment was incredibly relaxing, with the gentle vibrations of the machine complemented by soothing instructions and nature music. While waiting, they provided a lovely waiting room with complimentary tea and a selection of products available for purchase. They even offer a membership option for $179 per month, providing a variety of services like facials and massages. If I ever want to indulge in some self-pampering, I would definitely consider them.

I had an amazing experience with Julia who did my cryofacial. It was such a hot day and this cold facial felt like I was being massaged by ice cubes. It was so refreshing and my results were immediate. It instantly got rid of all my puffiness, smoothed my skin and tightened it. It lifted my brows and eyes and cheekbone area. The staff were all so welcoming as well. I highly recommend trying them out!

Have had only great experiences at Modrn. Ive been lucky to have had several massages, two microdermabrasion facials, and one Sensory7 Crystal bed session. The entire staff is so welcoming and kind. I love that they offer nontraditional wellness options like the crystal bed session, oxygen therapy, etc in addition to the more traditional massages and facials. 10/10 recommend!

I visited Modrn Sanctuary today for a Sensory 7 Crystal Bed energy bath and a deep tissue massage. The spa is clean, relaxing, and the staff are very friendly and inviting. I was skeptical about the energy bath but figured I would give it a try, and I was very pleasantly surprised to feel lighter and refreshed after. My masseuse was phenomenal! She managed to melt some pretty gnarly tension knots in my neck and shoulders that have been plaguing me for weeks. Ill definitely be returning to try out other services!Update: I want to give a shout out to Sofia for the amazing facial and skincare advice! My skin is looking 1000 times better, and it has only been two weeks on my new regime with Sabbatical Beauty products! I still love the crystal energy bed and recommend it to everyone!

I’ve been going to Modrn Sanctuary for well over a year now and I’m in love with this little spa! Up until discovering them it was hard to find an infrared sauna I could get to since I don’t drive, but it’s the combination of services they offer in addition to how helpful they are that really makes them shine. It’s not often that you can get a cupping massage in addition to an infrared sauna session and a facial….if you can I do highly recommend this combo, it’s pretty amazing.

Huge fan of the ballancerPro lymphatic drainage and infrared sauna combo. Has really helped me in my health journey. Huge plus is the staff is incredible and super helpful. I know a ton of places in nyc and Philly offer the Ballancer for about 200!! Modrn prices it very reasonably compared to them and it’s a great place to do it. Love that the sauna is in its own private room just for you.

My experience at Modrn Sanctuary was incredible! I had a Sensory7 crystal bed session followed by the lymphatic drainage with a facial. The combo left me so relaxed and refreshed!! I love the atmosphere at Modrn and the women behind it are brilliant and kind - a recipe for an amazing experience. Cant wait to return!

I’ve come to modrn twice now, and have tried the sauna- massage- and crystal bed. I would have to say all of these experiences have been 10/10 and it’s nice to have a little oasis in the middle of center city. Highly recommend checking these women out :)

Just had an incredible facial and massage at Modrn Sanctuary! The esthetician was so knowledgeable and answered all my questions- my skin feels amazing! The massage was also perfection - I love a deep tissue massage and the therapist was great at finding all the spots I really needed extra pressure and care on. The front desk staff was very helpful and booking my appointment was super easy. I look forward to coming back to try all their other services!

Almost exactly a year ago, I was given the opportunity to try Modrns crystal sensory bed which came at a time that I needed to devote more time to self-care, after losing my spouse the year before. Since then, I have signed up for their monthly membership which has allowed me to try multiple services including massage, foot reflexology, infared sauna, Ballancer Pro lymphatic drainage system, facials, and LED red light therapy (in addition to the crystal sensory bed).In addition to the monthly package, I have tried the cryo skin therapy and somatic healing session. Each month, a newsletter is sent out, which allows me to see whats new. Their website also has various class offerings that I am looking forward to trying (palm readings, spiritual guidance, tea reading, and others).I feel their prices are reasonable. Ironically, I am one of those people that refuses to spend alot on a haircut, but when it comes to inner health and well-being, I feel the opposite. Modrn Sanctuary gives you the opportunity to target healing and wellness on the inside and outside, sometimes at the same time.Can I say with absolute certainty that there has been one specific treatment that I noticed a huge improvement on? No, but I feel the combination of everything that I have been consistently trying, has helped me feel better. And the variety of new and changing offerings gives me the excitement and interest to try things I may not have tried before. I love, love, love this sanctuary.

I had a really nice experience at Modrn Sanctuary, it was my first time visiting. I had a rough few months the end of the year and decided to treat myself to a massage and a facial. I was greeted by Sophia who was very professional and friendly.I decided to go with the crystal massage and it was great. Ethel was very professional and moved stagnante energy from my body with her techniques and crystals.Next up for my facial was Julia and that was awesome, Julia was also professional and explained all steps and products as we went along.Needless to say I felt fabulous when I left the spa.There are more services that I would like to try at Modryn, so I will be back.

Ive been to Modrn Sanctuary two times now and although its the only place Ive been for a massage and facial, the entire staff is INCREDIBLE and knowledgable in their craft. They made my first time getting a massage so easy, relaxing, and less stressful. I came out of both my sessions feeling like absolute jelly, I simply melted into bed when I got home; THAT is how relaxing it is to be taken care of there. Im excited to go back and try out their other services!The only down side is that due to their location within the city, it can be hard or a little annoying to find street parking if youre not interested in using a lot/garage. Personally, I would feel mildly gross getting onto SEPTA after a massage since I was still a bit oily after them, but that would probably be your best bet to get to their building more easily.

I tried an oxygen session, it was relaxing and chill. After the session I felt like my mind was clear and I had an energy boost. I would highly recommend it.

Modrn is a lovely, relaxing space but it isnt huge. The people were very nice. I went for a facial that was great. My skin looked amazing afterwards.

LOVE, LOVE , Absolutely LOVE Modrn!!!The healing vibes are so incredible, I wish I could live there!!So far I’ve done the sensory chakra bed twice, a manual lymphatic massage, infrared sauna and went for a special tarot card reading event. I also attended a virtual hypnosis and EFT tapping session which was super powerful and has been a great healing technique for me.The staff is very friendly and professional. Did the 2 person infared sauna with red light treatment. Front desk person stepped into our sauna with her sneakers on.. 🥴 But felt wonderful afterwards and price was ok! The facilities are not giving total wellness spa. No showers post sauna, but at least cold towels were provided. Treatment worth the price.

Going to Modrn Sanctuary felt like coming home! I had the pleasure of receiving a massage by Falon and to be on the Modrn Sensory7 Crystal Bed for 45 minutes.I was greeted with crystal infused water by the owner, Alexandra. The massage was tailored to what I wanted and I fell into such a deep trance on the crystal bed. Next time, I definitely want to try the hypnotherapy!Once I was done I was shown a behind the scene tour of the the new space she was building and we talked about her intentions for the place and her vision! I scheduled an appointment for my husband who has some tightness in his back. The owner Alexandra got him scheduled quickly with Ben. It was great and my husband felt so much better after a visit to the red light sauna, a massage and cupping. I hope to visit for a service soon and my husband would definitely return!

Modrn Sanctuary is a totally unique wellness experience. I tried Lymphatic Drainage which was thoroughly enjoyable, the Cryotherapy on my midsection which actually made a noticeable difference but the Crystal Bed was the surprise Dark Horse. It was the most relaxing, almost out-of-body experience. The lavender-scented eye mask and meditative tones played through the headset, plus the crystals that were supposedly aligning my chakras, provided me with the most rejuvenating experience. I will most definitely be back for that and cannot wait to try the sauna hopefully coupled with a massage!

Hidden gem in Philly, and I would say a must visit! I recently had several incredible experiences at Modrn Sanctuary. Firstly, the whole vibe of the place is unreal. At the front desk, Lauren is extremely welcoming, approachable, accommodating, and sweet. It always smells amazing in there, it’s clean, and they have very calming and tranquil music playing.First, I had a session with the BallancerPro for Lymphatic Drainage. It felt like a very gentle massage and felt great on my legs, especially after a tough workout the day before. I was able to listen to my own music/podcasts during it which was super relaxing. Next, I had a Swedish Massage with Ben who was great. The massage itself was one of the best I’ve ever had. Throughout the session, he made me feel very comfortable and made sure to check in with me to ask if I wanted him to change anything up which I really appreciated.My favorite part of my visit to Modrn Sanctuary was when I did the Sensory7 Crystal Bed followed by an Infrared Sauna Session. I don’t know what I was expecting from the Sensory7 Crystal Bed, but it exceeded all of my expectations. After lying down on the bed, closing my eyes, and listening to the binaural beats, I woke up feeling more relaxed than I have in literally years. It is definitely true that it feels like an out of body experience. The Infrared Sauna was awesome, it’s a really nice touch that they provide you with chilled towels. If you’re considering trying something out at Modrn Sanctuary, don’t think twice!!! You will be amazed! I will FOR SURE be back!

As someone who has worked in the wellness industry for many years I was very excited to try the Sensory7 Crystal Bed & BalancerPro System at Modrn Sanctuary, and they did not disappoint! The Crystal Bed was extremely relaxing but at the same time I could feel my energy moving through my body, charging what needed to be charged & calming what needed to be calmed 10 out of 10…I have used Normatec before but BalancerPro is 100 % more effective in Lymphatic release & I would do it everyday if I could. I felt 10 lbs lighter leaving the spa than when I came in. 10 out of 10. I will definitely be back!

I went to Modrn Sanctuary for a spa day recently and absolutely loved it. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt at peace. The decor and vibe is so calming and the staff is warm and welcoming. I had booked a few different services and was excited to try them all. I started with a session in the infrared sauna. The sauna room is dark and cozy and it felt great to sweat out all the stresses of the day. Up next, I did a lymphatic drainage massage with the BallancerPro on my lower body. I had done a few tough workouts that week and this was the absolute best thing I could have done for my sore muscles. Finally, I did a session on the Sensory7 crystal bed, which was by far the coolest wellness experience I’ve ever had. I laid down on the crystal mat, which is heated and vibrates, and then the crystals with LED lights were aligned above me to the seven chakras of the body. I was given headphones to listen to binaural beats during the session which helped me to relax and turn off my thoughts. I left Modrn that day feeling so much lighter and happier than when I walked in the door. Modrn is the perfect addition to the Philly wellness scene and offers truly unique services you won’t find anywhere else in the city. I’ve already referred all my friends and family. I look forward to visiting Modrn again soon!

Had a wonderful couple of relaxing hours at MODrn on Black Friday. Experience was pleasant and relaxing from the beginning when I was greeted by Lauren who checked me in and looked after me as I was waiting for my next treatment. The space is beautifully decorated, and I appreciate the darker colors used inside which gave the space a modern but cozy feel. Lauren was knowledgeable and explained the treatments I was scheduled for that I was not as familiar with (the light sensory experience).Julia was my aesthetician for my facial. The facial was relaxing, but at the same time was therapeutic. Really liked the extraction tool that was used and the LED light therapy during the mask phase of the facial. Julia is knowledgeable about skin care and explained the products used and her recommendations. She also didn’t offer me to buy products used, which is refreshing as most spas tend to push their products to the customer.My only negative is that I didn’t stay longer and couldn’t do all the treatments offered as I was short on time. I will for sure be back to try the rest of the treatments offered at MODRn. Especially the lymphatic drainage and a massage. Will be my new GO to spa in the Rittenhouse area.

The Crystal bed treatment is an ABSOLUTE MUST! My body was fully grounded during the entire 25 minutes and my mind was so super clear afterwards. For a while, I actually sat in rittenhouse park and watched the birds lol. Such a cool experience!! Thanks MS!!!

As my appointment began I was offered a robe that was too small for me, I asked for another size and was told that it was the only size available. It was impossible to relax and feel good after being made to feel like I didnt fit or belong there. Ruined the entire experience.
