Over & Out

Were wanting to sit at The Observatory for my parents 29th anniversary, but it was full, so we were sat in Over & Out in the back. We ended up really digging how it worked out though, because we enjoyed playing pool, and the bar/menu was the same. Food is *always* great. Staff was amazing as always. They even took a picture of all of us outside, which was much appreciated. 5 stars always!

Great customer service. The staff was nice and accommodating which I feel can be hard to find these days. Atmosphere was nice w the lighting. The food and drinks were good and it was quick service. We got the brownie for dessert and it did not disappoint.

Have only been blessed with food from here twice, recently with some tomato soup and bread someone dropped off at camp which was really good and about 5 or 6 years ago one of the ladies there hooked me up with an elk burger that was incredible. Makes me happy that I spend time cleaning up the area after all the folks that toss the fast food trash out the door before driving home

DELICIOUSCame for my brother in laws birthday after I suggested it. We were only looking for a little cocktail bar to sit and chat at but were treated to amazing service, food, and drinksI was sat in a cozy booth in the back room with a Capricorn, which I highly suggest to anyone with a sweet tooth! The cocktail menu was creative and expansive, I plan to try the Cumin Centipede next time.My sister ordered a Ruby Red Manhattan, and my BIL something orange based, I dont recall.The drinks were complex and easy to sip, and very enjoyable, served quickly even on a busy Friday night.For food we ended up ordering the best pasta I had had in a very long time. Their Chicken meatball linguini was so flavourful and the perfect texture all the way through. Im always fussy with cream tomato sauces but this one was downright delightful. Creamy, a little bit spicy, and just so so good.My sister ordered the field green salad, which had the best balsamic vinaigrette, the fried shallots were tasty too.BIL ordered the trout, which was also out of this world. It was a sizable portion and came on risotto, the brocolini was a little overbearing in size, but if thats the only thing to complain about then I will come again!!All in all, price wasnt awful, portions were solid, and everything was very tasty.

A wonderful improvement from when I first ate here.The staff is nice and helpful while giving you space to see the menu and decide what to order.The staff also was happy to help the customer and each other, no one was above doing work.The food is great, love the fry bread, my gut still hurts and I want more. The burger is wonderful along with chicken sage pesto fettuccine.Great spot for a date night, love coming here with my wife. Would be nice if the music was so loud but at least I didnt have to listen to other parties conversations.Keep up the good work and good luck with the homeless camp next door!

The best Happy Hour left in Portland! With a rotating $6 Cocktail of the Day thats always delicious, the menu here is tasty and priced very well! The staff are efficient and attentive.

I have been here at least a dozen times over the past two years and every time I walk away, I am completely satisfied. The food is always fantastic, the drinks are great and the service is on point. Seriously, go get a drink and some food here, you wont be disappointed.

Came here for the first time today (September 10, 2023). Cant believe Im just now learning about this place. The atmosphere was good. The bar tenders had good energy and each drink was consistent. May I add, the Burger was amazing too!!! I would come back!!

Good cocktails and a nice place to relax. Thier cheese platter with bacon skewers is awesome and goes well with the Cumin Centipede cocktail.

This place always has the best 80s playlist in the back bar.Food is solid and so is the service.

Absolutely fantastic! The staff has always been amazing — The food/cocktails? top quality.I’ve been here with several people several times over the last 4 years and everybody loves anything ordered. Aside from the dates I’ve taken here, I’ve never had a bad experience, even then, the comfort of food and watching eyes has been by my side.Tip Torbin 50% split a dessert with the staff or buy the staff a round for later!What always amazes me is that even when they’re packed, the food arrives fresh, delicious and exactly how ordered within 5-20 minutes.I’ve waited years to post this review only so that his place doesn’t get busier; I can wait no longer. 10 stars Observatory & Over & Out, keep up the good work and positive vibes

I love their salads and their drinks. Its my neighborhood bar. One of the places I feel comfortable sitting at the bar by myself when I dont feel like cooking at home. The bartenders are friendly and good at their job. Theres often Sports on the TV screens if thats your kind of thing.

This is a great happy hour place. Great cocktails a wonderful food menu. Great customer service and definitely a happening place.

This place is 5-Star quality and service. The Idaho Trout was out of this world. A tiny violin started playing in my heart when I took my last bite ☺️

The hibiscus margarita was awesome. The food was not as great. I had the baked eggs and chicken sausage patties with salad. The eggs were not fully cooked and had to go back so when they came back the yolks were fully hard - bummer. The chicken sausage was spicy which was not really stated in the description and was cooked to death so it was not as palatable as it might have been. The salad was awesome the vinaigrette is tasty. Service was mediocre at best. Staff while busy didnt seem very friendly or engaging.

This is my local hidden gem! While its gained popularity the quality of service and food/drinks has not. Torbin by far is my favorite bartender. He is always so positive, polite, and makes the best margaritas in Oregon! He really enhances the experience of dining/drinking here with friends.

This is hands-down one of my favorite places from the day theyve opened. This is the back bar to The Observatory and has the same menu but likely a lot less crowded. A relaxed, casual dining experience with great cocktails.

Been here half a dozen times or more. I always get the mussels Diablo. Super delicious normally. A little less favorable today than normal. Hope its not a trend

Found this place on a trip down to PDX, and so glad I did. Everything was perfect. New takes on classic dishes done to excellence. Definitely coming back soon.

Our go to for late date night small plates and fancy cocktails when trying to stay near home and/or not break the bank (we love bear the airport). Plus, when were done being fancy theres plenty of other bars on the block.Tip: this bar is on the backside of the Observatory restaurant on Stark. You can get to it from either entrance but going around to the back door prevents having to walk through the whole restaurant which is not as casual as the bar... But if you have trouble finding that just go into the restaurant and theyll show you through no problem.

Same menu and service as at The Observatory, but a much more casual laid back atmosphere. They have great drinks, spacious and theres a pool table. Great place to watch sports, as well.

Went to lunch with two colleagues. Service was good, and the menu was varied. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. It was quite chilly in the building -- wish the climate control had been better.

Delicious cocktails and food, pretty reasonably priced for what youre getting. They have a pool table, a few pinball machines, and plenty of TVs if you want to watch sports. There are some pretty unique and delicious menu items, and I am making it my goal to try just about everything.

The cheese plate was ridiculous in size, variety & quality. It expanded what I envision as a cheese plate(My imagination has yet to be questioned). There were five cheeses, four fruits, bread and different sauces drizzled over it all. I havent eaten anything except great food and I have recieved only quality service.

Being that its an extension of The Observatory means the food here is great. A lot of overlap in the menu along with the happy hour. Good service and quality cocktails.

Love this place. Great happy hour food options. Sometimes the drink special is too creative for my liking but I appreciate that servers and bartenders are being innovative!

The food was pretty good and the drinks were OK. I think it was pretty expensive for what you got. I did like the atmosphere and style of the place. We may go again and give it a second chance. Follow you nose! :-)

Had the Apple and Beet Salad. Fabulous! Beautiful presentation. More than enough to eat. Also had the Oregano Fried Bread. Very good.

Sweet mercy, how good is the Oregano Fry Bread? SO GOOD. Id schedule a return visit for that alone, although the ambiance is pretty fun, tucked into the back half of The Observatory Restaurant. The cocktail menu is pretty great -- a little spendy, a little mysteriously obsessed with spicy liquors (seriously, every other drink is habanero-this or birds eye chile-that) -- but very unique on this side of town, where beer tends to reign supreme. The service is also a touch spotty -- I had to chase down glasses of water AND the bill, but granted, I was in a bit of a hurry, so Im willing to give that a pass. But really -- it all comes back to the Fry Bread. Get the Fry Bread.

Love the food and the drinks at Over and Out, but my last visit was tarnished by the bartendress attitude, she seemed annoyed that we didnt already know thier full beer selection and her overall attitude was surly. This was my second time here, and the first time there staff was friendly and fun. 50% in the service category keeps me from rating this otherwise great place higher.

Definitely one of my favorite spots to meet my friends for Happy Hour! The food is amazing, I always order the cheese plate and their moscow mules kick ass!

I would rate it a 5 star because the food are amazing. But parking is tricky. If you park over at the mcdonalds they will tow you. 245 dollars later.
