Had a great time dancing here with my man on Saturday. All he wanted for his birthday was to dance and I came across your place 😘😘😘😘😘Everyone was so nice the music was great and the drinks were as well. Friendly bartenders and bouncer. We just had a blast. Wish u were opened all weekend. See ya next time!
Retroclubnyc is less a “nightclub” and more an “italian restaurant that, at night, puts up a disco ball and bar mitzvah lighting.” Would you want to pay a $15 CASH ONLY cover to dance in an italian restaurant? The shakedown begins at the door and never relents. I advise you consider staying home and dancing to Spotify — the DJ here (on a Saturday evening!) was not only horrible at his job, but also had a disgusting attitude that permeated every aspect of the night. Watch out for Uncle Lurch, the older bald gentleman who works as a “dance floor hype man,” creepily sweating on any woman who has the misfortune to enter his dance orbit or eyeline. Are we having fun yet? In a city with thousands of better dance spots and bars, why spend your time and money on such a poor experience?(edited to add that I saw the DJ shove an older gentleman — a scary altercation that caused our mostly-female group to leave the bar. They felt unsafe in the presence of this hostile staff. Go elsewhere for a fun, carefree night out!)
Good DJ and groovy vibe. Not great bar service. And they charge 4 dollars for a cup of tap water. Seriously. (Thats in addition to 15 dollar cover.) I get times are hard, but this kind of stuff should be illegal.
Was granted permission at the door by a Tony the bouncer He asked me for ID, I didnt have it and I proceeded to enter. Cashier and coat check (very disorganized) accepted CASH ONLY. Bar was understaffed. After 10 minutes of standing at the bar, Tony the big baffoon bouncer approached my bf, ripped his cap off his head and said there was a no cap policy. Instead of acting like a hoodlum from the ghetto, Tony couldve handled himself like a gentleman enforcing the policy. I thought I diffused the situation and much to my dismay, Tony began to get physical with my bf and proceeded to throw us out. He also pushed me when I was trying to figure out why he was getting physical in the first place. Initially, I went to that particular club in hopes of reserving a place for a huge birthday bash. Not here. Not now. Not today or ever. Management: Retrain your security.
So much fun! The vibes, people and music were great! Only thing I will say is they should say that this place isnt a club. Its a bar that becomes a night club. The DJ should brush up on his music and needs to learn how to blend songs. I requested Stevie B Spring Love and he looked at me like he never heard of him.
Not really a night club, this is a restaurant that took away tables and made a small dance floor next to the bar. DJ was really, really off beat, this guy definitely doesnt know how to blend and mix correctly at all. As a DJ for many, many years myself at some high level night clubs this was pretty excruciating to listen too, some songs went over 4 minutes and then were mixed with the BPMs way off. Overall, definitely wouldnt visit again our next trip to NYC.
I had an incredible time last night with friends, celebrating my birthday. We danced the entire time and loved the music 🎶 Cocktails were great too and the crowd was amazing. This is now my go to place for dancing 💃
The place to be every Saturday night at RetroClubNYC mixing the hottest hits from 70s, 80s and 90s. $15 cover
An old friend was visiting me in the city and I wanted a nice place to dance and happily found Retro club. Everything about it was nice from the reservations to the dancing experience. Good communication through email once you reserve, clean place, open on time, friendly atmosphere. I will go back.
Absolutely the MOST FUN!! Grab your gang and GO!! Great music, we never sat down, danced for hours and hours!! Jeff is an amazing DJ and manager, reservations were easy to make and only a $10 entrance fee. It is all ages over 21 so i brought my daughters and their friends. Great crowd, awesome vibes, really the best time. We can’’t wait to go back again and again!! They do shout outs and celebrations if you want, but why wait for an event? just go on any saturday night!!
Went with a group of friends on a Saturday night and we had a fun time!! Mostly music from the 70s and 80s (which we wanted as it was a great change of scene from other clubs in the city) and we loved it! Lots of dancing, fun disco balls and lights. There was a fun MJ impersonator and a few more contemporary songs. We kept singing even after we left! Thanks, Jeff!
Great place, nice people, and fun music. DJ played a good mix and kept the crowd on their feet all night! I will be back soon!
It was my first time there and its a new location for them as well.I had phenomenal time!!!!The bartender Matt is pure gold !!!Great crowd, awesome DJ and just an overall welcoming, party vibe.Matt the bartender is a cut above the rest!! The club shares the space with Hurleys and one can dine will listening to the music with a great view of the dance floor. The dance floor is a decent size, relative to space. It stayed crowded the whole time I was there, filled with happy dancing people!!!!All the staff I encountered were personable, professional and polite.Im going back very soon and Ill be adding pics. Check this place out and dont forget to check in with Matt the bartender.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Expensive !15 to get in , I saw my receipt and they added a 10 dollar tip for my already expensive watered down drinks , not sure if that’s normal to add 10 bucks for tip, DJ sucked , vibe was off, staff felt too uptight. Thank goodness I had good company but won’t be going back .
This is definitely a great place to be if you love 70’s and 80’s music. The Spanish bouncer is respectful, the bartender is very attentive and the DJ is good.
Do not support this establishment. My friends and I were harassed and verbally attacked by a man who tried to hit on us. We asked him to please leave us alone and he started yelling at us and calling us nasty, misogynistic names. We asked the staff to please remove him from the bar. They said he was just drunk and to let them know if he bothered us again. We insisted that he be removed or that we would be leaving, as we felt scared and violated. The manager then told me he would get him out. Two security officers came over and we explained the situation. I heard the man tell one of the security guards that I was a “b****”. Then the manager came over again and said the man was “a regular” and suggested we move away from him. Again, I refused and asked if we could just get our money back for the cover charge, as we had just entered the bar shortly before the incident occurred. He directed us to a woman working at the front with a cash box. She said that because we had stayed longer than 10 minutes she couldn’t give us back our money. I explained the situation to her, and told her that the manager had assured me early on that he would get rid of him. I asked him directly to back me up on this and he admitted that he had said that. However, the two of them continued to refuse to reimburse us. The woman was very hostile about it and wouldn’t give us any contact information for her supervisor or someone else we could speak to about it. It wasn’t until I finally told them that if they refused to either remove him or give us our money back, I would have no other choice than to call the police in order to file a report. I informed them that what that man had done was a crime, and that it was unbelievable that they didn’t make their customers’ safety a priority. At this, they finally gave us our money back and we left. It was a terrible situation that was handled inappropriately by all involved. I would not suggest coming to this bar, especially if you are a woman, because they will prioritize abusive men over you and your safety.
I would have given this club a one star but gave them two stars because the music was okay. Came here to hang out for my birthday because they said they play old school music. The young lady at the front entrance was not pleasant and then when we got to the bar I was undecided about what to order. Im used to bartenders being friendly, happy about serving customersand sometimes helpful, but this guy was extremely unpleasant and boarder line disrespectful. I had one drink and it was time to go.
DJ tonight wouldnt play Michael Jackson blame it on the bougie after agreeing to... ? Just say no if you wont play a song... dont get my hopes up of at least one good song. Bad DJ by my experience... bad song list, not all retro as advertised, and apparently lies about requests... Dont waste your time and money. The drinks have no menu despite the site saying there is a menu... The marguerita taste gross and was $16. Most drinks were $16. The tequila shot was $10. Dont waste your money on the drinks here. Cover charge is $10.
Omg had the best time last night for my birthday 🎂 great music brought back so many memories ! Thank you retroclub for making my birthday awesome!
Thanks to DJ Jeff spinning 70s80s90s classic hits my crew of 10 all had a great time on the dance floor. Great atmosphere for a small night club with a big bar in midtown Manhattan. Looking forward to going back!
We came for a birthday party and left all smiles! Music is great - mix of disco, 80s, to current. We danced all night! It wasnt super packed when we arrived (early, around 10:30), but for us, that made it even better! More room to dance! When we left, around 1am, it was getting pretty crowded. Servers are very nice and accommodating. Crowd is a mixed-bag, but that just adds to the appeal!
Spend The 2020 New Year’s Eve party at RetroClub with 10 friends. My era Disco/Hustle & Free Style Music. Had the greatest time that I haven’t had for a long time. Jeff the DJ knows his music and from the time we arrived till ending everyone was on that dance floor. The music moved us all & we never left the dance floor. Jeff plays the best. Manager & staff - great hospitality. “We shall be back”. Recommend this place to all. Thank you guys for giving us the greatest best time. “ love you”. Tina, Tiffany n friends.
Thank you so much for a BeautifulTriplets 56th Birthday this weekendWe had a Blast.Atmosphere n People was Amazing 👏 ✨️ 😍 🙌 ❤️ Especially the DJWith 70s 80s n 90s Music.Recommend this place AwesomeThank YouFrom The Triplets & Friends❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️
Hung out at Retroclubnyc for NYE with friends and had a blast. DJ played all and didnt even need to make a request - all songs from all eras were there. We danced like we never danced before. We didnt want to leave and had such an amazing time. WOW DJ Jeff you really know how to spin it! Id like to commerate you for the great music experience. Bartenders were excellent. Management came around to make sure everyone was having a great time. What a nice touch. I cannot wait to return.
Had a great time here. A little crowded and the drinks were pricy but cover was only $10. For example, three of the tiniest shots of Jaeger bomb and one white claw was $60. Still, great time. We danced a lot.
So I came here with my dad because he loves disco music and loves to hustle. The entry fee was 10$ which was pretty cheap for the area that we were in. The music was awesome great DJ and he took requests. It was a great crowd and nice vibe it was the right amount of packed. The only reason that I do not give this place 5 stars is because the bartenders sucked so bad, they were so rude for no apparent reason. I asked for a water with lemon and she took 10 minutes to give it to me then rolled her eyes when i asked her to put ice. They had that same attitude with everyone. Once they get new bartenders this place will be the full package.
Was smacked in the face by an old male patron after he pushed and shoved me around in multiple occasions. The staff let him stay and escorted me out without checking the cameras. I’ll update with police report soon.
Hey guys just want to say what a cute place with friendly service (bouncer at the front needs to smile a little but OK we broke him in), awesome DJ ready to have you dancing the night away. It brings me back to happier times. My only critique is that they close too early!!😊 Thank you for making my birthday weekend a blast!
I went to RetroclubNYC last Saturday ( July31st) and I had a blast!!!! It is a small place, but it is perfect!.. great location, safe, and the music is outstanding!!. The Dj is great !. The atmosphere is so full of good vibes!!..if you like 70s 80s and 90s dance and Pop music and want to feel like you are in Studio54, this is the place to have a great time!!. People from all ages just having fun in the best place of Manhattan..
Such a great vibe, its really class place, and judging by the crowds the 3 time I went, its a melting pot that everyone likes. Good music brings people together, and good drink dont hurt the cause! Door guy was cool, bartenders were solid, but the music 80s music it was makes everyone feel good.
Retro club rocks! Every time I go, each experience tops the last. Jeff Wittels, The best DJ in Manhattan is there and he is the ONLY DJ that will play hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and now in the best way possible. Throws backs on throwbacks! If you want a cool vintage night you GOTTA go to retro!
I chose the place because of the music but it did kind of disappoint me. The new location is very small so its very crowded, barely any space to move and people squeeze through you all the time. The entrance fee is 10 bucks which is great and drinks around the same price, but will choose a different place next time. I gave 3 stars because I love 80s but many songs were just boring and not danceable so people would leave the stage. I wish I could give them my banger oldies playlist that we Europeans go crazy for. Some songs even if theyre good, they have to be danceable and catchy. But its just me being picky about the music lol
Love this place!! Great music and atmosphere. Have been coming to Retro since it opened its doors at its previous location and never lets me down. If your looking for a great spot to listen to the best music from back in the days and dance the night away with a great crowd then this is the spot for you. Special Thanks to DJ Jeff you never let me down always playing the best tunes from back in the days.
Oh. I enjoy it. Its a great place to hear songs from the different eras. It takes you back. I try to go when I can and its a LOT OF FUN! People are great for connecting with. I enjoy the disco sets. Awesome place! Price is right too. The DJ is plays a nice variety from the different eras.
It wasn’t great for me to be honest. It’s nice that people have had a nice time here, but it’s when things go wrong - that’s when you can tell how good an establishment really is, as this is the best measure of an organisation. The owner’s written responses to its customers leaving low star reviews is shocking.“Haters gonna hate” apart from being a cliched and a very low class response, really serves to highlight the unprofessional approach to customer issues, rather than addressing customer complaints in a reasonable and logical manner.Just to provide an immediate rebuttal to the owner or other responder to this review: no, I am not confused, I’m not a hater, nor am I any of the other negative, derisory or derogatory things you may wish to write about me.Just an honest customer leaving an honest review.
5/14/22 Disco night. Completely hammered bartender that I had to tell my drink order 3 times over a 15 minute period. I was about to make the drinks myself at that point. He kept taking shots with friends instead of actually serving. I hope the guy gets some help, and also never serves again. Wowzers
This is not a club. Its a small ratty dancefloor upstairs from a deli type restaurant. They have the nerve to charge a $10 cover fee. They should pay people to go. Mixed drinks are overpriced at over $15 each and the DJ needs his title revoked because there was no smooth transition between songs. Youll be better off dancing with your friends at home.
The manager was distasteful to say the least. A person who walks around with a superiority complex meanwhile the paying customer has to be treated as an inferior waste of space. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place dues to the horrible customer service
DJ has to be focus mixing , music 3 of 10
Kept it clean, great atmosphere and music!
I have been to Retroclub many times over the last year, and its a nostalgic throwback to the great dance music of the 70s, 80s and 90s. DJ Jeff doesnt disappoint, always playing all of the classic oldies, while generously taking requests. Cant wait to go back.
Music was great! Great vibes! Great atmosphere. DJ Jeff was phenomenal & played all requested songs. Will definitely go again
Fun atmosphere with great music. The drinks were very well prepared, we tried the gin fizz and long island iced tea. Heads up there are not many food options, but what they do have is delicious. Id recommend, the Retro Platter.
First time visiting Retroclub after the unfortunate closing of The Pyramid club. I had an overall great time however with a few cons. Small space for dancing and although the music was great it is my opinion that they hire a new dj maybe even the one that The Pyramid had. He was definitely way more personable and kept a notebook were guest could write down their song requests and not be dismissed. Additionally, all be it I am not a dj, the in house dj needs to learn how to mix. I will visit Retroclub again however hoping that either the dj is replaced or betters his skills and personality. Gave it another try and yup....definitely NOT going ever again..
Had a BLAST Friday night dancing under the disco balls to an endless string of great oldies. Drink prices were consistent with other NYC bars and ours were poured generously. Make sure to check your bill before paying, gratuity was already added to the total.
Edited review after owner/manager made me aware of my mistaken notion that the club had 3 floors/ bars/dance floors. I was under the impression that that was the floorplan but I was wrong. Rest of review is an exact representation of our experience.Again...maybe this was an off night. I am not a hater, and do not always hate as manager stated in reply to this initial review (and to every other bad review). I can only attest to our experience which is in contrast to some and in concert with other reviews here. After searching for the entrance for 5 minutes, we saw a white paper sign with the directions to the side diner entrance scrawled on it in sharpie. We entered into the diner downstairs, paid our cover charge (really?) and walked upstairs. To say that this place was empty at 12 on a Friday night is an understatement. There were, maybe 25 people. And to be bluntly honest, we almost walked right back down to demand our money back and look for something else. But we didnt. We decided to give it a try. After paying $52 dollars for 4 drinks in small plastic cups (and one was a club soda!) some of us danced. The night was not getting better. The music was not good. We heard Donna Summer 4 times, Madonna 3 times and when we tried to ask for New Order, it took forever to come on. We enjoyed that song but when the DJ played Kenny Logins...we knew it was definitely time to go. We needed time to find a new place to save our night, albeit $100 poorer and with one less hour to enjoy our night with.Others may have had great times here so I guess its hit or miss. Its NYC...that happens. Id try again based on other reviews if it werent for the cover and obscenely expensive drinks. I get it. Its Times Square (my first mistake in choosing a place to dance in NYC) but for that price you would atleast expect an actual glass for your drink and something bigger than a juice glass. With such small plastic cups, they could also lighten up on the ice.The smell of tuna fish and coffee wafting up from the diner below didnt help the vibe either.Edited: This next part was added after the manager replied to my review so defensively. Now Im not ever planning to try it again.Every bad review is replied to in the same defensive manner (and all with the same complaints) instead of respectful deference to our experiences. I manage multiple business SM accounts for our multiple businesses and Id never reply to a negative review in this way. There is a way to plead your case in response to bad reviews and this is not the way to do it.
DJ played way too much disco, and ignored my requests as well, but .... I had a blast. Not many places where a 40 something gal can shake her booty and not feel like the old lady on the dance floor! I will definitely return, even to dance to disco!
I m really confused how did this place get 4 stars just left it . It is above a deli lucky if there was 20 people here pics on web site could not have been taken here.music really bad 70 80.90 to choose from we were there 1hr heard same song twice .only one toilet ?? wont be back night ruinedwe where here 11.30 till 01.00 the place was empty only one level was directed to 1 toilet down stairs in the deli your doing great PR job but this is not a good club
Had a freakin blast at RetroClub last weekend! Celebrated my 26th birthday with a disco theme and this place was perfect! The dance floor had lights and disco balls and DJ Jeff played all the best dance music we literally closed the place because we didnt want to stop dancing! Highly recommend!! Thanks so much!!
FYI: the club now has a $10 per person cover charge after 9pm. A cover charge. For a dance bar. On 23rd street. We reluctantly paid and went in, its not as busy as it used to be. A beer and a non-called cranberry-vodka was $22 before tip. If anyone needs a lesson on how to ruin what used to be a good club, follow this example. Music was great but now the place is ridiculously over priced. Lets see if it exists in a year...bets, anyone? What a buzz kill.
The DJ told me specifically that he didn’t take any requests for New Year’s Eve tonight. Two groups of younger white ladies came up to him and he happily said he would play their songs. He even did a shout out to the girl from Miami (played Shania Twain_not dance music!). He did finally play our request 2 1/2 hours later. The floor does need repairs and the bar added the tip to our tab. I have to admit the music was fun but the transitions were not smooth. This is a revised version. When I first posted, we were still in the club.
I came for a birthday party thinking this was the old retro disco. Well was a disappointment it has been. People walked out of the place since the music is horrible. The DJ is stuck with Saturday night fever and only same disco songs are played. I have heard Saturday night just about 3 times. This should be called disco re-run. There is no retro music in this place it really sucked. Which nightclub has an empty dance floor at 1am?
FUN. Retroclubnyc had an AMAZING DJ who effortlessly mixed old singalongs with today’s hits. The disco balls, lights and dance floor were perfect, and the bar was close enough to dart back onto the dance floor when Bruno Mars came on. The crowd was a bit older, but my party (~25 24 year olds) blended in.
Went here with a friend late (1.15 a.m.) tonight (Sat.). They close at 3 p.m. The lady at the front door was snotty when my friend went to give her a credit card to pay for the cover. Granted, most places don’t take cards for cover, but her attitude wasn’t necessary.Anyway, ultimately, she said $10 cash each and put her nose back in her phone. I leaned forward and asked since they close in less than two hours would she accept $18 as that’s all the cash we had on us. She ignored me completely so I asked again, and she looked up and said no and put her nose back in her phone.I’d be surprised if a manager would have missed out on two people coming in for a couple drinks over being $2 short but, because she was so rude, I didn’t feel like dealing with it or trying to give them our business. If she’s any indication to their customer service, we pass!
Wow! This place is really cool :-). My friends and I came and had a blast. DJ was playing all the right songs! Drinks were great! Definitely will be coming back soon.
Stopped by last Saturday night. We were really looking forward to this club, but one step in the door and I felt like I had stepped into a sonic blast and had gone deaf in an instant. Same with my friend. It was so loud we literally could not take 2 steps in. We we so disappointed. Does everyone have hearing problems? Is that why the music is so loud? Were we just super sensitive? Dont know, but Ill try again, next time with my titanium earplugs!
As long as you keep playing THE QUEEN OF DISCO, Ill keep coming!!!! Wish there was a club dedicated just to the Queen of all Queens! Before there was a Mariah or a Whitney or a Beyoncé there was DONNA!!! All hail to the Queen! Keep on playing!! Your music brings us back to simpler times where you just want Ted to dance the night away. Thank you!!!!
Great place to go dancing on sat night if your into 70s and 80 music the dj is amazing
Went here for a work party and really had a nice time. Drinks are good, especially with the two-for-one special. BEWARE: Only thing i have a problem with is that they charged me a 20% service fee for party of one person, i would not have tipped on top of that if i had already known.
This club is great for picking up some fine women. All you need to do is walk in and you got women on your meat like moths to a flame. Definitely would recommend for them lonely boys with no hope.
AS A DJ FOR OVER 30 YEARS THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEING AT A GREAT PARTY WITH GREAT MUSIC AND GROWN PEOPLE JUST PARTYING TO OLD SCHOOL REAL MUSIC I ALREADY MADE RESERVATIONS TO GO BACK AGAIN IN TWO WEEKS AND ME AND MY CREW WILL BE IN OUR 70S OUTFITS AGAIN JEFF YOU ARE AWESOME LETS KEEP THIS PARTY GOING FOREVER!!!!!!
Such a fun club. The atmosphere is just amazing. Throw back songs are forever in my memory. The good old days.
Great place!! I had fun like I havent have for so long time! Music drives you trough time in a very nice way!! You can dance and drink all night long and will still be wanting more! Its really a place for fun with friends, without worring about no onelse!! I just recomend to add the dancing flor like the iconic Odissey 2001! Jeff, please add this dancing flor. I will be back from Brazil to dance again in your discotheque!!
Came here with a group of peeps for a Bachelor party! Had an amazing time, the DJ is fantastic (rated the best DJ in Manhattan)! Drinks are awesome! Highly recommended!
My first time to NYC for new years, club was recommended by google. DJ would not take any music request but would take younger white ladies music request. I would not worry about going to the disco here.Racist DJ
What a fun clubCame here a few times with a bunch of friends and we had a great experience. No other place in the city to listen to 70’s 80’s 90’s music. I recommend everyone to come and have a fun night!!!
I had a lot of fun here.I recommend for people who like dancing. It’s a very very good dj.
Great time, lots of fun!! Best retro music ever, so much needed in the nyc nightclub scene! Bartenders are fun, strong drinks, good crowd - will totally be back!!!
Everything was from the past. This club is not recommended for youngsters but for the married old couple
The photos are are a scam. 100%. Let the club owner respond please!! The place is a dump. A left over Steak &Ale and nothing , nothing done to it. Rip off. One star is one two many. If you do go, ask to go upstairs before tho burn $10.
This is a scam. They make you believe reservations are needed to get in. We got there at 10pm after making reservations with “Jeff”. Reservations were confirmed by an email from the so called “Jeff”. The place was empty. It’s an old dusty place , old furniture and very poor layout . They charge you $10 to get in before you can walk up the stairs and actually see the place . We left right away as did another couple, both $20 poorer. Avoid this place at all times. Scam!
The best retro nightclub to go to. I’ve been thinking about DJing there but the problem is that I’m underage (15 yr old) lol
Visited the RetroClubNYC to meet sis-in-law and friends. My sis-in-law has been bragging about how great of a DJ Jeff is to The Bring Me Back Classic Music of the 70s, 80s, & 90s. Guess what she wasnt lying. Its so amazing to go back in time to the best music ever. The best of this DJ unlike other DJs - he played the songs from start to finish not cutting the music in half like other DJs do. The DJ glued us to the dance floor with the best non-stop music. Our thanks goes out to DJ Jeff. Jeff keep up the good work - no competition out thereYou are the best!
What a fabulous party! Great retro music and good time for all! Plenty of dance floor space and a fun crowd! A hidden gem in heart of Times Square, you won’t be disappointed!
Was there last nite it was ablast the music .ppl. The atmosphere. The drinks was on point shot out to the bartenders they did their thing. Im a 70 babe .we enjoy neva mine it seem we were the onky blk in there. Lol will be back for st patrick day
UpDate...I love the music and the energy of the crowd enjoying the 70s, 80s & 90s. The drinks are a bit overpriced. Get there by 10 or you will miss out!
Me and my friends had a blast birthday party here last weekend 11/24/18 Great place, great music, great service, from the beginning till the end and I thank you for giving us such a wonderful time ! cantt wait to go back again :)
Don’t care what ppl has to say about this place! Too small not a big deal blah blah. You go for the music and the vibe. Had a blast in the fall and I’m going again this summer! About time there’s a RETRO place to enjoy the blast! Thank you who ever came up with this place. Love it!
Retro disco music is always fun, its in midtown gota n younger n older crowd in the mix n love for the 80s 70s music
Can’t understand why this place has bad reviews.Went on Saturday night, had an amazing time. Lots of fun, great atmosphere, drinks at a reasonable price
60s 70s 80s music is what they advertise but we had to beg the DJ to play the popular disco & rock music from that era and he mixed in RAP which is not the popular 70 80s music at all!!! What a waste!!
I havent been here yet but i am looking forward to going!! I love classic disco 70s & 80s definitely will be going soon!
No one over 35 should be allowed here you tryna get lit and there’s an old man 👴 that might trip over if you go to hard seriously they need to put a age limit
Fantastic music, relaxed vibe. We were able to dance like no one was watching.
Sorry not a review yet, organizing a night out. Looking for 80s place similar to good ol Culture Club. Which is the best night for 80s, Fri or Sat?
If you’re looking for a feel good, cheesy, let loose kind of time. This is the place to be. Fun club to go to with reasonable prices and the best throwback music in the city!
We had an amazing time at RetroclubNYC!! The music was amazing and the service was spectacular!! Highly recommend!!
Visited the city again and wanted to try something different. Came here and was pleasantly surprised! The music was definitely poppin, will be back next time
Had the best time of my life! The Dj was amazing. I’ll definitely be back
Dump. The pictures are a total misrepresentation. Cover charge. $33 for 2 tiny drinks in plastic cups. Maybe 20 people in the place at 1am. Did I mention its a dump?
Very cosy ! The dj is awesome ! Nice ambiance ! I don’t usually make reviews but I loved it !!!
Not the hottest club but one where you can enjoy with a decent crowd. Less hustle and bustle
Good music but ridiculous to charge a cover when there are 10 people in the place. It’s the 2nd floor of a deli so would by no means count as a club.
The line was filled with an older crowd… barely saw anyone in there that was younger than 30…
I had a great time last night. The music was great and crowd was good. I plan to go back.
Great club, great music, the best DJ, I had so much fun, definitely I’ll be back!
It was okay. Good bartenders and drink prices. Dance floor was too small. Nothing special.
Had a great time at the new location! Really good vibe and everyone had a blast. Can’t wait to go back!
Definitely not a black experience. DJ completely ignored my Before I let go request. Really!
Great music, great fun and all casual and super easy. Clubbing can be just pure fun in NYC!
Super!
Great place for dancing on sat nights love 80 music the best
This place is awesome!! Great music, drinks, and food. Definitely recommend checking it out!!!
Good to see the management care about peoples reviews. Great place to dance and drink!
I have such a great time there so much different music for all
So much fun at New Year’s Eve party!!
Had the best time with my friends here!!! ❤️ We stayed until 3 AM!!
Had an awesome time!! Great music, so much fun!
Had a great time. Fun music, cool vibe, awesome location.
Music was great, but no classic cocktails!
They GOT THE MEAT !!!
Nice music and old people with sweat bands. If that’s what you want, off you go.
Free to get in, drinks are inexpensive and the Disco is 🔥!
Honestly the worst. DO NOT go here. It’s not the ratchet Times Square experience you’re hoping for.
Had a great time. The DJ was great.
Love to go with a group of friends...Is there a cover?
A cool 70s 80s disco vibe 🎶 🕺
