This is drag perfomance etiquette.Regardless of your gender or sexual orientation, you will have a good time at the Drag Brunch if drag and brunch are your thing.I cant speak to how the bar is during non-Drag Brunch hours. Never been.There is fat-friendly seating, you may have to ask for it.The miser in me needs to say $1 mimosas to $3 mimosas is a big price jump. Thats all.

This place was once a great spot for gay men to check out gay men stripping. Now its nothing more than a drag queen performance space and the men stripping are flaccid queeny queer fems. What happened to the gay scene in Portland??? The queer community continue to take over. We need more gay mens clubs and bars!

Went to Drag Brunch for the first time and it was so much fun. The host and performers were so talented and beautiful!!

A nice compact bar. The staff was not welcoming and lack in professional customer service. The bartender had an attitude problem because I asked politely if they had a specific brand of alcohol. He had to go to the back and retrieve for which he should have restocked the bar prior to opening. I was in ear shot of hearing the bartender complain about it afterwards. Catty and childish in my opinion. The dancers on stage are average at best. (Do not anticipate any Magic Mike type exotic dancers) Tipping should be encouraged if youre going to be watching the dancers. Overall, nice lgbtq bar but not a rememberable experience patrons should look forward to.

My friend and I went to the Drag Brunch that Stag hosts on Sundays. Food was fire. Show was even better. Isaiah the bartender killed it with the mimosas. Don’t sleep on Stag if you’re looking to make fun weekend plans!!

We were just starting to have a good time at this club until this Karen who appeared to be a friend of the club kept doing rounds asking people to go up with her to tip the dancers.She specifically picked on our group for not tipping ,forgetting that I had just gone up with her 10 minutes earlier dropping 5 bucks for a dancer I didn’t even find attractive. She called us creepy for just watching. We simply can’t tip every performance. We only tip dancers we like and honestly it was slim pickens that night.We’ve only been there maybe 30 minutes but already got 3 rounds of drinks , had an open tab and asked the bar tender to change our 20 dollar bill into singles. She just ruined the experience and we left the club earlier than we planned to and spent our money at Silverado where the guys are much hotter.2 stars is given to the quality of dancers.4 stars for layout and decor of this bar.0 stars for Karen.

Sunday brunch was 5 stars - food could be better and maybe not mimosas out of a bucket? OTHERWISE it was so fun and you can buy good drinks at the bar. Would pay the $28 without any food included for sure. Super talented group all around.

Such a fun night! Drinks were good & the dancers are super hot! Fun crowd and the actual bar has a good vibe.

Tank is the best employee here at Stag. He works so hard to connect with each customer. Hes charismatic, respectful and energetic. Dancing or bartending, hes the most well rounded person here and does his very best to make the experience great for everyone coming through the doors.

Your saving grace is Sheniqua’s Drunken Brunch.I was a dancer and a barback here. Owner Julian de Looze (Cross the Rubicon, Inc.) lives in Australia and doesn’t really care about you unless you look like him.Really unfortunate, because I loved coming here as a customer in 2016 and on and off the past couple years through the pandemic.Please support the dancers and bartenders! They kill it out there and work hard. They also pay a stage fee, so if you’re in the club you should be tipping!

Terrible place!!One star is given to the bartender. The bartender was amazing. Nice friendly and welcoming. My first time in Oregon.I was visiting Oregon from Quebec and one of dancers accused me of stalking him. I was mortified! The humiliation and abusive experience I had here was traumatizing!!!! How do you defend yourself against such an accusation when its obvious that the dancers have an out weighted social capital! It protects them even when they are lying. I firmly believe that their was some stereotyping of me as an aggressive African guy. I never touched or even gazed at anyone longer than a couple seconds. I am still at a lost of why he would do this to me. I was really hurt! I left this placeballing in tears because I had no way of proving my innocence. The racial undertones of the accusation was unpalatable.I hope no one else has this experience.

Very fun, funky, classy and clean place! Had the best time attending drag brunch hosted by the amazing Angelica DeVil. The performers were amazing, the brunch was SO delicious with a variety of yummy options for the price and you cant beat dollar mimosas! 😁

TERRIBLE FOR QUEER WOMEN DO NOT GO IF THIS IS YOU! As there are very few lesbian bars to go to and we thought this would be a safe space for us, my girlfriend and I went for a friend’s birthday. She was hit on and touched on the back by the manager who said “find me later”. Then one of the dancers sat down next to us, put their hands on our knees and asked to have a three way after we repeatedly told them we were together. Really upsetting experience and we will not be going back. I hope other queer women avoid it to so they don’t have the same experience. Do better for the LGBTQ+ community Stag.

Went to this club because it was listed as a great place for first timers and my friends had never been to a strip club before. After cheering on several of the dancers, my friend pulled out her phone to take a picture (without knowing that was not an okay thing to do). She was immediately verbally assaulted by one of the other dancers screaming to delete the picture, which while understandable, did not have to be escalated to that point. After deleting the picture from her phone, he continued to scream at her about deleting from her trash folder (which she didnt know how to access on her phone).After several minutes of verbally berating her (and the rest of our group for trying to help explain the situation), the dancer physically assaulted another member of our party by putting his hand in her face and physically shoving her away.I completely understand the importance of protecting those boys, but physical and verbal assault to a group of first timers is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Had a wonderful time at the drag dinner, The food was excellent. The entertainers were lively and most excellent, if they offer it again on a Sunday evening, I highly recommend it. $25 cover for a show and a meal is quite a bargain, I definitely will be going back

*Not a Safe Space* and *Not a safe space for Queer women*Worst experience ever. My date and I (FF) visited this place for date night (9/5). The only straight bar tender proceeded to flirt with my date the second I wasnt around. Even offered her free shots and to give her a private dance even though he wasnt a dancer. He then proceeded to be rude to us when I called him out. On top of that a dancer offered us a private dance. We paid up front, but kept going over time and basically hustled us to pay extra. As queer women in a male dominated space, it was extremely uncomfortable and it basically ruined our date night. It felt incredibly invalidating and honestly traumatizing.

The criticism of this bar is ridiculous. This is the best gay strip bar in Portland. The dancers are all very unique and have great personalities. Yeah the drinks are a little more pricey but if you can’t afford to tip the strippers and enjoy a nice drink... then why are you going out in the first place. Worst part is probably the customers being all white old navy catalog models would like to see more of a variety of customers of all races and gender identity.

A group of friends and I were visiting Portland for the weekend and trying to celebrate 2 of their birthdays. We had a large group of friends visiting so it was hard to accommodate with Covid precautions. We went out to a couple places and had an Ok time, but we tried out Stag on Saturday and we had the most fun that you can imagine!!! The dancers were friendly, the bartenders were friendly, the bar backs quickly clear your table and make sure you are ok, and the owner is PHENOMENAL!!!!! He is on site and actually walked up to our table and made sure that we were having a good time, along with making sure that his staff was treating us right. He didn’t know that we were from out of town until we told him and even checked on us and other tables throughout the night. He also makes sure that his employees feel comfortable and have the necessities that they need to have a smooth/ fun night. If you want a bar with a great atmosphere and AMAZING staff, make sure you check Stag out!!! Yes it does have a capacity during COVID, but they try to accommodate as much as they can! You will not regret visiting here and their dancers are great...especially Bailey...he is super friendly, will interact with your party, and will not pressure you to tip. The owner even took the time to get a picture with us. Come check it out on a Friday or a Saturday...you will not be disappointed!!!!!

I love Stag, its my go-to place if I am planning a night out. The drinks arent the least expensive in Portland, but still not bad. The staff, dancers, and drag queens have always been friendly and welcoming. There have been a few small moments where someone had a bad attitude and can ruin the moment, but I wont begrudge the club for those isolated incidents.Tipping is technically optional (unless you are sitting at the stage or getting a lap dance). HOWEVER - I highly recommend you actively tip. 1) Because the dancers are working for your entertainment, and 2) youre much likely to get more attention and have a better night because of it.Only 4 Stars though because last time I was in, my female friends, were not able to get lap dances, and the privacy curtains had to be kept open. Likely this was because of some drama from messier patrons, but still irked me. Havent been back since yet, so hopefully they have eased up on that restriction.

Bartenders pay more attention to friends then customers that are paying for drinks. Did not have michelob ultra so got coors light on tab was so warm could not drink it.

The Stag was excellent, drinks were strong. The dancers were fantastic- special shout-out to Cowboy. He was AMAZING!

Good bar but note that its a fairly small space and can get packed quickly. Drinks arent bad. This is not a place to dance unless youre one of the strippers. Its vibe every time Ive gone is to stand/sit and be social.

My friend and I came down from the Seattle area for this past weekend. We were excited to hang out in Portland and to check out the various clubs.We hit Stag on Saturday night. It was my first time at Stag. All in all, I had a good time. However, barely an hour into our visit, I had a negative interaction with one of the entertainers.Almost as soon as he came on stage he leaned over to talk to me. Rather than introduce himself, as so many of the other performers had, he rudely informed me that in order to continue to occupy my seat I had to tip a $2 per song minimum. About 2 songs later, my friend and I decided to leave.While we were not aware of any tipping requirements prior to our interaction with this entertainer, my friend and I had been tipping quite generously nonetheless. We were there to have a good time and wanted to make sure the performers knew we appreciated the attention they were giving us. We spent far, far more than the $2 per song minimum the performer informed us we needed to spend.I dont get to Portland often, and since 99% of my time at Stag was pleasant, Ill likely visit again. But, this particular visit was ruined by the attitude of one person who didnt even bother to see if we were tipping before demanding more money from us. Another visit like this, and I likely wont bother again in the future.

Drag show cancelled after everybody lined up and waited in line in the cold for an hour. You guys upset A LOT of people today. I know better now. Wont happen again. Update I recieved an email with an apology and an explanation. They refunded my money. For future productions just communicate with the public I think people are a lot more understanding when given updates on social media. Good luck.

Been here a few times and have always enjoyed myself. Its clean, the bartenders are friendly, and the crowd is a decent mix of people. The music is not so loud that it impedes conversation with friends and theres a nice selections of areas to hang in for socializing. Always an enjoyable experience.

Was here for New Years with friends. Service and atmosphere were excellent. Staff were great. We thought it would have been awesome if the SWAT-looking security guard was a surprise performer at the end of the night. All the dancers were superb, though Leo would be worth coming back for.

I never leave bad reviews ever but for the first time I feel like I need to say something. We brought our friend here for her bacherolette party. There were only 5 of us. We were standing in the waiting line and an employee comes up tells her she needs to take her decorations off since we didnt rent a private room. Im fine with that. Thats policy I get it. But he was incredibly rude about it. Didnt congratulate her or say he was sorry for her having to take them off. He literally came up and said you need to take those off acting like we were doing something wrong. We left. Our friend didnt feel comfortable going in after that. Im not again policy thats fine. But how he acted towards us made us feel very unwelcome.

Went for the Soul Food Drag Brunch and loved it, Ill definitely go back. Buffet brunch was waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, greens, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and fruit - good fruit, berries, not just a bunch of cantaloupe. Honestly worth it for the food alone, but the show was spectacular and the drinks were strong.

Cons: As an actual Southerner born and bred, trans, a woman of color, and technically a newcomer, I have gotten the unwelcoming treatment by its “regulars,” especially by the drag performers. I felt the moment as I walked into their establishment and tried to introduce myself (just to be friendly) but what do I get in return? An unfriendly cliquish, snobbish, territorial, entitled narcissistic intimidating group of peeps that viewed as some threat to their personal well-being. Hardly any one made any attempts to welcome me but to go out of their way to make me feel unwanted.I was deeply taken back, hurt, saddened by this encounter that it really made rethink my coming back.Pros: Bartenders were super friendly and understandingThe Verdict: I don’t see myself coming back there anytime soon where I’m not welcome :(

First time here. Me and my friend are the first ones here. We ask if there are any reserved seating. The bartender says no, you can sit anywhere. We order drinks, sit down. Then the bar kinda fills up. No seats left. Then the bartender comes over and tells us it seats were reserved and tells us we have to move. And takes it drinks. So now we have no seat and no drinks.

Second time here, visiting from out of town.Hit or miss with the dancers. A year ago I had a private lap dance which was awesome (big muscly guy with glasses). Yesterday, the dancer I got was so checked out. Bruh I know were just making you do this, but try not to make us feel like were just making you do this.Also, on a selfish note, theres just too many women. But business is business.

Had gone to Silverado first and isnt feel very welcoming, hut when we came here for our bachalorette it was perfect. Everyone was so nice and all the dancers looked like they were having so much fun! Will definitely come back next time Im in Oregon.

Has zero respect for the safety of performers, lets patrons take pictures of performers when it is clearly a safety issue on so many levels. Transphobic against trans masc individuals as far as letting recurring dancers go. Def a space for mostly drunk cis white guys.

I had never been to a male strip club before. I was very excited to go. It ended up being depressingly underwhelming. The seats around the stage were filled with cackling straight women and their boyfriends...resulting in the dancers only giving attention to the SAME couple women and their uncomfortable boyfriends...over and over and over. If the dancers work for tips only, then perhaps not having the same customers up front (who have already ran out of three $1 bills they brought) is not the best idea. Between that, and the girl that non--stopped screamed the entire time I was there, and the snide remarks the straight folks made towards the gay men in the bar (mainly behind their back)...it was horrid experience.

The atmosphere at Stag PDX is sleek and professional, the strippers are gorgeous, and the beverage prices are affordable! I paid for a lap dance with Vahn, who took the time to explain how everything works the first time that I was there. What a stud!(By the way, I updated this review on 08/18/2021 to include the name Stag PDX in the review, but I actually wrote the review over six years ago, which was on 05/21/2015! And, on 10/06/2021, I added the actual date that I wrote the review, since I saw it on one of those Google Maps updates about how many times this review has been viewed! So, I wanted to clarify that Google Maps updated the review -- again -- to look like I wrote it on the most recent day that I updated it.)

We went there tonight after a very important business meeting, my str8 colleague and his girlfriend asked me to take a picture of both of them. No sign was on the walls that taking picture is prohibited. Meanwhile a very rude worker disturbed me, then touched us without our permission. He told us we can’t take a picture!!! Literally there was nobody on the picture except my friend and her husband. The Stag employee hit my shoulder without my permission, (who the hell are you to touch me) then spoke with a drag queen lady and told her how disgusted we are from our experience she literally did nothing!!!! Told me she would talk him, she did not apologize for rude, disgusting, mean experience we received at Stag!! Eventually we ended up leaving. I will follow this first thing tomorrow with the Stag management. Nobody has the right to raise their voice or touch clients. 03/01/19

Cant really say much. I went in there for a drink, to relax, and to unwind from a horrid month Ive been having. First time in the bar, so I figured why not? and hopped in.Bartender was ... well ... lets just say he seemed displeased with even the remote existence of people.As I went in the early evening, I expected it to be dead there, and it was. There were 5 other people there, not including bartender and myself.I honestly have no desire to go back, as I had one drink and left for another bar.I would have stayed if the bartender was at least a little bit nicer, but why bother when you feel like youre not welcome there?

Sunday night 9:00PM I say at the end of the bar as I do weekly. Bartender took 20 min to serve me a drink. Why dont you serve a drink, with a drink napkins or coasters. They are cheap. I have had to wipe my own are down several times. Love setting my arm in a sticky, wet mess.

Super unprofessional security. Guy outside said no cover charge, random guy inside with a dog asks us for $5. Bar was nearly empty at 9:15.

A nice male strip club to offer something new to Portlands stipper scene.Classy interiors, nice variety of dancers. Its small and intimate. This is more of a classic gentlemans club. You sit, you tip per song and set, you get some booty in your face for your money and its very friendly and fun. Nowhere near as uptight as straight strip club rules. As long as the stripper shows you he approves of your actions you can generally interact very openly with them. These boys know to dance and flirt. Have fun!Avoid busy nights as it gets packed very quickly but Id say a great spot to try out next time youre downtown and feel like going to either of our great male strip clubs.This is a great venue for bachelorette parties as well.

Well gosh.. a Stag dancer and his friend physically assaulted me tonight. The manager, security and door person of the bar did NOTHING to stop the assault... As a matter of fact, they stood on the sidelines.. I wish I could say this was a one off for this bar. You should be ashamed of what you watched happened...ashamed.

I was visiting and unsure where to go in DT Portland. I stumbled upon this joint after a dreadful experience at a bar one block across the street. My expectations were low. My first interaction was with the door guys outside. They assured me this is a fun place. I did not believe them but thought what the heck, I am thirsty. As I walked in it was alive with girls and boys having an awesome time. You could really tell by the laughter and smiles on everyones faces. The dancers had great pole skillz too. The only negatives were the animal head hanging on the wall. It looked like something you would see in a basement at someones house in Montana. Ok I get why its there. Seriously, The real negative is the Sq footage. A place this fun needs to be alot larger!

Place is over rated, over priced. It’s small. You can get better service and especial better drinks for a better price at many places near by.

Really not worth it. Overpriced drinks and rude staff. I was supposed to meet a friend here so I showed up a little early and after being questionably looked over by the door man (I get it, you need a rough and tumble persona, but maybe smile or pretend you dont think Im a criminal), ordered a cocktail. The bartender didnt recognize the name of the drink I ordered and made a passing comment about how Its probably called something different in NY. I guess it was assumed I was from out of town and it all went downhill from there. He had his little clique at the end of the bar opposite where I was sitting and just gushed over them while never even asking me if my drink was okay, it wasnt. The vibe was just off so I texted my friend and told him to meet me elsewhere. Havent been back. At least Silverados pretends to care about their customers.

Honestly we a lot of fun here and then at the end of the night I went to close my tab, and they didnt have my card but charged me. The bartender said honestly I would just cancel your card and get a new one ok? So I talk to the managers and they were EXTREMELY unprofessional. Wouldnt let my friend go to the bath room. I couldnt beleive the way we were treated. They messed up, gave my card to someone else, and wouldnt admit they messed up. And wouldnt give me a receipt as proof that wasnt my signature. Just be careful..especially when its busy. Maybe just use cash.EDIT - a week or so after this experience I was messaged on Facebook by someone who received my card that night.

Ok bar. Ok dancers. A dancers came by my bf and I and asked us to follow him. He had stopped and chatted w us earlier so didnt know what was up. He took us to a room and began to dance on is then proceeded to tell us it was 40 for him to give us a lap dance. We didnt ask for a lap dance so it was an amward moment where we felt weird to say no. Dancers need to be specific as to why they want u to follow them

Worst service ever. Not busy at all. Waiting, sitting at a barstool next to several patrons with drinks. Bar tender ignores me and serves a “friend” a mimosa (except it’s vodka in a in a champagne glass with oj for color) - no charge.No one in line - try to flag him down - again no one in line. 5 people walk in and he immediately goes to serve them ( must be friends) - finally looks my way, walks over and says get off the stool and get in line for a drink. Classy service.

Was visiting from out of state with a friend. Tipped the staff very well for three days in a row. One of them was extremely aggressive towards my friend and got very close to her face without a mask on, on the last day. It felt like we were in China town dealing with overdosed individuals. Will never go there again

I only come for Bronco and other events with furry guys, because thats what I like. But the parties here are fun. They give you $2 bills to tip the dancers, which is a nice touch. It gets very crowded.

Love the vibes of this place. Bartender is so nice and several of the dancers came over to my party to chat and make friends, theyre all super amazing and a big reason why Ill come back.

Mostly straight guys catering to women. Theyll take your tip and nod at you then look for their next take home lay. about 50% patrons were women. Silverado is where youll get appreciation and attention if tipping well.

Great place

Honestly the worst place on earth! The security guard was extremely rude to my friend, we dont live in Portland and there were no signs prohibiting photos or touching your cell phone! He took the cell phone from my friends hand and started shouting at him, an extremely ridiculous scene! The girl who welcomed us was wonderful, super polite and cheerful! But this rude security guard made our night in Portland unpleasant. Rating minus 0! Clown...
