East Bridge Massage

I started going to East Bridge after I was in a bad car accident a couple years ago. The massage therapists here have all been highly skilled and are pretty cool people as well. I’ve since fully recovered with their help and I continue to go here every so often for maintenance. I always feel like a new person after a massage here. Also, the place is beautiful and the front desk staff are great as well. 10/10.

I have been going to EastBridge massage for over 20 years, every therapist is amazing! The owner Claire is truly the best so has created a group of therapist’s who follow her lead, the atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing, they are extremely welcoming. Don’t look anywhere else and they may even take your insurance if you are so lucky!!

Alice makes it possible for me to do the deeply emotional work I do. I store stress in my body along with some pain issues. Alice adjusts her therapeutic work to suit what is needed, listens to my heart and I always feel better, body, mind and soul!

Some of the highest quality massage I have ever received! The office staff is on top of it and Ann-Marie is so skilled at what she does. So thankful to have found this wonderful place that’s helped me with a variety of health issues.

I have had nothing but fantastic experiences for two years at East Bridge - the staff is extremely friendly and responsive, and the therapists (I see Kumi regularly but have seen two other folks that were also excellent) are kind, professional, and super talented. Would highly recommend for anyone with medical massage needs.

I like this business, the building is a converted house, 3 or 4 floors, comfortable and clean, with free parking.The staff are courteous, and very skilled in insurance billings. They offer appointments 7 days a weekI have been suffering with mid back pain for months. I received services elsewhere with mixed results. The therapists here, especially Anne and Tracie have been helpful. They have excellent technique and are responsive.The office is very busy, sometimes they are booked out quite a ways. However, they have excellent communications, sending out cancellation emails almost daily.

I really like that they have a variety of massage therapists and so they have openings every couple of days. While I don’t love all the massage therapists, I do think they have all been professional and would recommend them to others. I have m favorite MTs that I won’t mention because every body needs different things to feel relaxed, so who I find great for me might not be good for others. However I do love that they have a lot of people to choose from and also thus means you can get an appointment pretty fast. There are plenty of rooms also and it’s kind of fun being in different ones every so often.

Disappointing experience..i received a massage from Anne Marie about a month ago..for whatever reason she choose to massage me very hard that day and as a result my hip was pushed out of alignment..it is still out as i write this…..i tried to contact her via the front desk staff a few weeks ago and left a message asking her to touch base in the hopes that she would have suggestions about how i could get back in alignment or help me understand what caused the misalignment..she never responded so i left another message this week and she has not responded…obviously i will never visit East Bridge again

Ive been coming to East Bridge massage for over two years and am so grateful to have found it. The new location is especially impressive -- its a home thats been beautifully restored with lots of thoughtful touches. The rooms are immaculate, the communication is professional, and the services are really quality.Ive seen about 5 different massage therapists, and each is so skillful. I trust their hiring so much that Ive learned not to be picky about who is available for a massage -- Ive never been disappointed. I especially love seeing Clay, Anne, and Tracie and have recommended them all to friends.This is a lovely spot that I highly recommend!

I have been going to East Bridge Massage for years, even following them when they moved to their new location. I have had massages from many of the LMT’s there and they are all exceptional. They are really good about listening to their clients about level of pressure preferred and figuring out which areas of the body need to be worked on. They also specialize in many different types of massage including Ashiatsu-many of their rooms are equipped with the bars. Their new location on Burnside is wonderful. A lot of work has gone into the building and each room is warm and welcoming. I will never take my business anywhere else.

I have been going here for massages for about 3 years and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the massages, as well as the nice environment! Their staff are very accommodating and helpful, the location is very central, and the massages are absolutely fantastic! I see Clay mostly and he does an amazing job of paying attention to my bodys needs, and adapting each massage to what will benefit me most. Im also very impressed with all of their covid-related safety modifications. I am a nurse and I feel very safe going there, which I really appreciate. They are taking every safety precaution they possibly can! Do yourself a favor and book an appointment!

WOW. I have had a few massage experiences before but East Bridge is where I feel that my body has really begun to heal. Everyone in this place always seems so happy and relaxed, nobody at the front desk has ever been anything less than warm and helpful. I would like to give massage therapist Peter ten thousand stars- he is truly fixing my body and easing my pain with the most exquisitely relaxing massages I can imagine. Seriously, somebody give him a medal. I couldn’t possibly be more satisfied with my massages!

I sought help at EBM after a car crashed into mine which resulted in some serious back pain. The care and brilliant skills of the therapists — each who have differing styles— have been amazing. Their beautifully renovated old Portland building is a bonus!

The center is in a beautifully restored house that is always immaculately clean. Since Covid they have implemented protocols to keep both the clients and staff safe and adhere to the highest standards of safety in the ever changing new normal, we live in.The staff excels at pain management and I would highly recommend them for massage, acupuncture and cupping. East Bridge Massage was an amazing experience. I recently had a car accident before arriving in Portland. After a long plane ride, I needed a deep tissue massage. I found this place through yelp. I went several times while I was in town. Great therapists who really know when to go harder or pull back. Highly recommend this place. They made me feel welcome every time I walked in the door.

I have been going to East Bridge Massage for a few years now and they have been phenomenal. I have seen a few of the different therapist (all the ones I have seen are amazing) and will tend to see one a few times as scheduling permits so they can target whatever is going on in my body. I had been on hiatus the last 9+ months from massages when I just started back up (having a 2 year toddler during a pandemic makes getting time a massage hard) and I have seen Kumi two times so far. She has done wonders for my shoulders, back, and general upper body. She listens to what I think are the issues and finds what they are in my body.I tell everyone I know who is looking for bodywork to come to here, anyone with aches and pains. I came here my whole pregnancy to get massages to keep me working while my babe was growing and pushing my body in different directions. I really hope more people take advantage of bodywork from East Bridge. They are truly amazing!

This really is the best Deep Tissue Massage I have ever received. I started going recently and had acute pain. I saw several of the LMTs there. All were unique but collaborated about my shoulder condition. I was in a lot of pain and needed the best massage therapy that I could find. Customer service was top notch and the owner cares deeply about the quality of therapists. She is also a massage educator who teaches advanced massage techniques. You cant beat these high quality massage therapists that are truly cared for and respected. They are also open seven days a week.

I can’t say enough good things about East Bridge! The therapists here have helped me recover from injury and now massage is part of my routine. They have created a warm and safe environment to get massage during COVID and are taking precautions seriously. Tried a bunch of different massage places over the years before trying East Bridge on a physician friends recommendation. I used to get migraines secondary to a lot of chronic neck/shoulder tightness, and the deep tissue massages here have been life-saving. All the therapists are great; Clay is my favorite. If you love elbows and actually getting knots worked out, this place is amazing.

I’ve been coming to Eastbridge for many years and thought it high time I share my experience with you.I am one of those people that truly needs deep tissue massage. It has always been challenging for me to find therapists who could provide this level of massage. I get migraines, but my massages here have cut down on my migraine incidents by at least 70%. Also I was treated for a frozen shoulder. I was making slow and little progress with PT. However, after intensive massage sessions , my frozen shoulder improved and I have regained my full range of motion.All of the therapists here have been handpicked for their ability and knowledge. I have never had a disappointing massage here, ever!What I love about Eastbridge (apart from the awesome therapists) is the flexibility to make an appointment 7 days a week, including evenings. This works great for my busy schedule. Their new location is beautiful and peaceful. It’s also great that they deal with all the insurance billing, versus paying and then working to get reimbursed.

I have been getting massage at East Bridge for two years. The therapists are all top notch, especially Clay. I started going there for help with debilitating elbow tendinitis-I went from not being able to use my arm to full recovery. They take care of billing my insurance. They have taken every COVID precaution this year and I have felt safe in their facility. I can’t recommend highly enough

After a car accident a few years ago, I started seeing Clare Katner for massage work on the recommendation of my chiropractor. Until then, I had only experienced relaxation-type massages, but this was a whole new level of therapeutic body work. Her intuitive ability to zero in on the source of aches and pains was instrumental in helping me recover from my accident. Since then, Clare has expanded her business and gathered a first-class group of licensed massage therapists. She is great about pairing people with the therapist whose style is right for them, and I can’t recommend her and her staff highly enough.

I was referred to Clare for a deep tissue therapeutic massage over 7 years ago and have seen her as needed ever since. Her years of experience working with muscles shows when she easily gets to and then relieves the source of the problem. Because of long term chronic issues, a simple rub doesnt do a thing for me which is why I love the deep tissue work shes excellent at. The best news for me now is shes brought others into her East Bridge Wellness practice that are as qualified and care as much as she does. They all work closely together and between all of their schedules you can get in 7 days a week!

Ive seen every massage therapist here and they have all been great. I love that all the therapists are women and that they all have different specialities. The most helpful for me was getting myofacial release and ashiatsu. My body responds to these kinds of massage better than just deep tissue so it was a pleasant surprise to discover how many therapists do this well there.I love their environment. It feels very positive and healing to be in. I always look forward to seeing these talented therapists. Go see them for massage. You wont be disappointed.

Decent massages, better than massage franchises. Accept health insurance.

The Eastbridge Wellness experience is top notch due to the remarkably high level of skill that each massage therapist has. They offer many specialty areas including shiatsu, cranial sacral, deep tissue as well as injury recovery. They are open 7 days a week. They accept medical insurance. I am very glad I found them.

I have been getting massage therapy here for almost a year after a car accident. The first therapist I saw was Andrea and I left feeling like my pain went from a 5 to a 2. I have seen nearly all the therapist here now, they are all fantastic with their own unique styles. I recommend trying them all out to see who fits you best but my favorite is for sure Andrea. She specializes in Cranial Sacral therapy that leaves you feeling out of this world--truly, it is an indescribable feeling that I have never felt until seeing her. It takes a lot for me to relax but after a session with her im on cloud nine, totally zonked in my relaxation realm. The space is very clean, cute and welcoming. They instantly made me feel like part of the fam and are always eager to fit me in wherever they can even though they book up fast.

I have searched for a massage therapist who is comfortable with touching, kneading & working out my butt muscle. Ive had so many massages where I will tell the therapist I carry much of my strain & tension in one of the largest muscles, my butt & they wont go there! East Bridge finally proved to me there is a place that will go there. I asked for a deep tissue & I received the deepest massage Ive ever had. This is the place, I finally found it.

Wow, great deep tissue massage! I have never felt more welcome. The moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a sincere hello and they were right on time for my massage. They also accept my insurance and seem to be experts when it comes to insurance. Affordable as well. Great place.

First and foremost they are safe (take lots of covid precautions). I have yet to have anything less than a stellar massage here. Every therapist has great technique and communication to ensure that you leave there feeling far better than when you arrived. AND they take insurance :)

Ive enjoyed Clare Katners massages. She knows how to fix what ails a person. She has always understood how joint and muscles affect each other, so if I have a sore spot she doesnt just concentrate on one tiny area, rather she gets to the root cause of the problem and fixes it holistically.
