I literally love this store! Theyre so freaking cheap! $1.50 for 115 papers of buglers. $2 for a real Bic lighter! No joke I will go out of my way to go here even if Im on the other side of the city! Then you got chill employees like blaze! 110% the best tobacco store in Portland!

Great little head shop, the 2nd time Ive visited, and the guy was super helpful, chill, and friendly. Easy to get to, a really good selection for how small the store is, and a great price on a new bowl for my glass piece. He also didnt try upselling me from what I needed to get, which is always a huge turn off. Ill be going back there for my next glass piece!

Came in July 8,2024 and was greeted by two hot white men 🥵😍 one bald and the other with a beanie. Beanie guy helped me out and wow, not only is he super attractive, his customer service skills are amazing 😍 making this my go to shop now. Only coming Monday afternoons to see these hot men

The guys at this shop are always super chill, and the prices are very reasonable. Victor, Eddie, and Blaze all helped me out on 4/20 (I was getting a ton of stuff for the holiday lol), and all three of them were super accommodating when it came to my indecisiveness, as there was HUGE selection of super cool glass pieces. they had great advice and recommendations, and knew about the origins of the glass they were selling. after I picked out my (very first) dab rig, I asked for help figuring out what accessories I needed to actually get started (tool, carb cap, etc), and they were knowledgeable about that too :) thanks so much for your help, guys!! ill definitely be back soon

And July 3rd 2021 here at House of pipe smoke shop has certain employee try to tell me that I could not sit on the edge after purchasing several items other than that the smoke shop is clean and most of the employees are very courteous and with kindness. Knowing that they are located behind the Lloyd center by Safeway area on North East 9th and Broadway. They make it seem like its the projects and knowing that if they want more customers to come in so a little bit more compassion and courtesy with respect.

I have been searching for a solid smoke shop for a while and finally happened upon house of pipes Eddie and Emilio were super helpful when I stopped in and I will now be a regular customer here as it’s convenient to go to from my work everyday.

Pretty expensive for the more popular vapes have a couple cheaper ones but lots of selections! Travel a little bit outta downtown and save A LOT!!

Bought a dab rig here that started to shatter within a week; it had splintered from the heat of my torch after a few uses. Something Ive never encountered with a rig or pipe before.Wont be wasting time here ever again, I managed to keep the rig for about 2 months before a drop from my desk onto padded carpet broke it, it seems the heat made it weak enough over time (hence the initial splintering) to just shatter it in segments. The glass is very thin, like thinner than a coke bottle. This shouldnt have been sold as a dab rig if it cant withstand the temperatures required to dab. I guess Im lucky it didnt blow up in my face like Richard Pryor, this is an Absurdly low quality peice. Ive seen people spike their bongs onto cement and this thing couldnt handle a torch.

Based on personal experiences, one of the owners is extremely unprofessional and rude. I have heard that there are two owners, and one of them is a little easier to work with, but I havent met them. The owner that I did meet insulted my knowledge of vaping products and laughed at me when he thought I was wrong. I was so flabbergasted by his behavior that I went somewhere else. Overall, it is not a bad place to get what you need. Just avoid the grumpy owner at all costs.

Got some packs of Backwoods back to back to back (April 2023) every cigar were full of holes & was told to call the # on the back of the packs. I did & after 7 weeks I get some buy 1, get 1 free coupons in the mail, WHICH THIS STORE WONT ACCEPT even though I bought the packs here. I talked to a manager (late May 2023) I was told he needed to speak with a ITG rep. I had the letters that were mailed to me with address & contact info. I was told they only accept digital coupons?? Backwoods arent cheap & if they sell janky packs they could at least accept the coupons from the manufacturers that they insisted I get a hold of...

This store saved my marriage, cured my speech impediment, and brought my dog back to life. Blaze and Emilio are super helpful.

Customer service easy to talk to and their selection on dab rigs is overwhelming. Oil burners could be cheaper but sometimes they have colored ones.

Went to House of Pipes today to grab an affordable bong and grinder. Ruben helped me out & was so pleasant. They showed me several options within my budget. The bong was $40 and I think the grinder was around $20, but it’s a mini sharp stone which is excellent. They had lots of options & I believe they own a vape store right next door!

Great place, huge selection. The guys might look a bit macho but super down to earth people. On my way to quiting tobacco, thank you guys great shop great people a must vist on my next visit I will take more pictures of the shop

Staff was helpful, but half of everything I bought from there doesnt work. The issues insides of the wooden pipes have a layer of paint Id rather not smoke. The butane torch I purchased for three times msrp wouldnt even hold gas, just leaked out. They have good glass, but I wouldnt advise much else

Terrible experience at the Tualatin Valley Highway location. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.I bought a small pipe from here and the stem popped off after the first use. The surfaces were all smooth it obviously had not been fused together. I brought it back as soon as I could and there employee was incredibly rude. When I asked to exchange it for a different one, he stated Nah man, we have a no return policy. The product was clearly defective and he even acknowledged that, saying yeah that happened to me too!!!As if it couldnt get any worse , I figured fine, Ill just buy another one, but instead of being charged 10 dollars, with a smirk on his face, he said that will be 25 dollars! Are you kidding me? Dont support these, in my opinion, crooks!

They have the best deal on butane and always a nice selection of glass and torches! This is my favorite location because the vibes are chill and the staff is dope!

Aiden (hoping the spelling is right) helped me and my bf pick out the best juice and gave us tons of info about their juices. Probably the most helpful person weve spoken to at any vape shop. Super awesome guy, very friendly, and 10/10 would recommend this place for the customer service we received.

I called ahead because I got a disposable vape from there that wasn’t working.. the manager told me “come in; we will work something out” so I went in and they did NOTHING to help.. just went out of their way to make me feel stupid when I asked questions, and didn’t “help me out”. They were trying to charge me full price for all their disposables, AFTER I had called and was told differently… I 200% DO NOT recommend. Very unprofessional, and they are obviously liars.

I’ve bought multiple puff bar products from these guys and have rarely had an issue with fakes. But this morning I went in and bought one that was obviously fake. The outside packaging variant was totally different than the color of the puff bar inside. The flavor was supposed to be strawberry kiwi but tastes like grape- which would be consistent considering the color of the bar was the grape color. Definitely check the bar out before you leave the store because they won’t let you return it after, even if the item is clearly a fake.

The glass here is of great design. Ive gotten most of my best pieces here. Their cigarette prices are also some of the lowest in the city. Staff is incredibly friendly. My only discrepancy with here is that the glass can break rather easily if youre not careful, but thats not really the stores fault.

Always, ALWAYS make sure your total is right. They scan products, which ideally should populate a correct price, but then they manually key in the total. If you’re paying with a card you then put your card into a terminal that DOES NOT show your total. In the past a rat toothed looking dude tried to charge me $18 for one RPM pod, they charge 6$ per pod, and receive them in packs of 3. This is easy math, but kinda sus. It’s legitimately kinda hard to convince them they made a mistake, and they seem apprehensive to literally just scan the product again. Dude tried to charge me $60.99 for a $20.99 product today. If you’re paying with debit, watch out for it. Accident or not, you’re out that money.Also, invest in hairnets for people packing your house brand Kratom. A foot long blonde hair in every pack is not just ‘plant fibers’.

Dean and Adam working there are great. Pleasant helpful and patient even though I showed up all stressed from work. I have been to other shops before where they dont want to take the time to let you find something that works for you. That was not the case at House of pipes, they werent annoyed by my many questions and changes of decision. They were very nice and even hooked me up with a different bottle that was larger for a lower price because I drip a lot when I realized I needed more juice than 30ml, and they added another bottle to make up for the price difference instead of saying shut out of luck. Im dripping their house of pipes brand pixie dust right now and it is pretty dang good.

I bought a torch for $30 and it stopped working as soon as I got it home. Go back there after buying a nice one online for $20 and they WOULD NOT REFUND ME for my purchase even though I had a receipt from 2 days earlier. Horrible way to do business. People inside do not help and just text their boss and hide behind their phones.Avoid this store at all costs and spend your money somewhere where they appreciate their customers.

They have just about everything there. A little higher priced on glass pieces, but better than average quality (2018).2019 January - still have unique pieces. Prices are outrageous. Quality on many glass pieces has diminished a lot. Not sure if ownership changed or not, but the choice to eliminate the higher priced better quality and replace it with overpriced low quality glass isnt a winner in my book.2019 February - til March1, 50% off all glass pieces. UNLESS OF COURSE you get in to take advantage of the sale, they change it to items above $5, but never put that on any of the hand drawn in store posters and never even hinted at by the word of mouth FREE advertising over the past two weeks. I wasnt able to purchase bubble stems 2 for $5 since they are already so cheap, they are still 2 for $10. They didnt even bother to try to keep a customer happy. Really? Knocking a buck or two off during a big sale event would have made it easier to swallow. Looks like time to explore the dozens of pipe shops in St Johns.

Terrible experience from the time I walked in the door. The employee that helped me had absolutely no knowledge on the products, and did not try to up sell me on butane to go along with the $80 torch that I purchased. When I got home the igniter did not work at all. When I called the store I was told that they will not replace or exchange the item I bought less than a day ago, even with a receipt. I wanted to spend my money at a store in my local community instead of using Amazon or another website even though the store charged 30% more. I hope the online market puts them out of business so they cant rip off people in their local community

My experience today was above wExtraordinary. Im not up to date on the new style or forms due go being stuck in old school lifestyle. The assistance we recieved from Dillon covered everything from equipment use of what Kratom might have the best results for us. Awesome work man. Patience and consideration make customer service the reason folks come back to shop. Product can usually sell itself. Its the treatment and sense of personal sales that have people return again and again. Thanks again man.

The service there was excellent and the staff were also quite knowledgeable of the products that they sell in the whole establishment or do not carry. It is an oasis in the giant sea of sand made into glass. This is a local vape shop which sells the latest trending smoking apparatuses popular both around the world and just as necessary and loved locally as well. Competitive prices but generally cheaper than mist other pipe/head shop in the downtown area.

Dont waste your time at other smoke shops in Portland. Best products, best prices, awesome staff. Stop by and check out the amazing glass work of local artists, and youll even be able to test out the water pipes if requested (with just water, that is). Very high standard of customer service and a laid-back, friendly atmosphere. Ill be returning for the good vibes and excellent pieces.

Picked up this sweet little rig. The price was reasonable and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Never tried to push a sale. Also they have a large selection of kratom there with some pretty good prices.

For the most part three staff is chill and knowledgeable about the many products they stock. And if it is something they dont stock, and you happen to a regular, the ordering manager is always willing to check with their suppliers to see if it available. You just have to catch him when he is there..

Friendly helpful staff. I dont know alot about the stuff I went to purchase the clerk was helpful and made recommendations and on what I should purchase as I had never tried cbd products before or marijuana prior. Only reason in purchasing was for some health reasons. In another review where House Of Pipes responded, it was said to come directly to them rather than post a review if something breaks. Apparently that it is just for show. I purchased a $120 rig within the last 60 days that had a very clean break right at a melding point. I saw the spot where House of Pipes got upset with another reviewer posting before asking for help so I figured I would call. No dice. Apparently if you walk out the door with a faulty piece that cost all you have to spend on a rig for the next year, you’re just screwed. It’s certainly a good way to make a buck. If I receive help from the owner, I’ll update this review appropriately.

I used to regularly shop at the House Of Pipes in Oregon City, as well as the 82nd Ave store, and this location is just as great; huge selection of cannabis accessories and vaping products, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. They also have great quality kratom at great prices.

I knew exactly what I wanted which can make finding a water pipe a bit dubious. They had a great selection and the two gents working were helpful/friendly.I walked out with exactly what I was looking for for an extremely fair price. Dude went above and beyond letting me swap the stem (that came with the pipe) for something a bit shallower free of charge.Next purchase I make, I know where to take my monies.

They have cheap 15$ scorch torches and a couple other brands but anywhere else the same ones are at least 20-25$ and up

They have a fairly good selection of mods and they know how they work and what will work for you. They also have a collection of smoking apparatuses for the other type of smoking. As well as cigarettes, different flavored swishers. Prices are decently average.

They buy fake glass and rip people off with High rocket prices. All of the employees are stoned and have no idea what they are talking about. They sell broken stuff and I tried to talk to the owner about returning a broken vape I paid almost 200$ for and he told me he was going to shoot me. They owners have guns displayed at there broadway location and it’s a terrible business ! DO NOT SUPPORT THEM !!! Terrible experience every time I go in there !!!! Gross stores they are always trashed and very dirty ! I expected a lot more out of a glass shop !

At first I thought these guys ripped me off, I couldnt get the vape they sold me to work and once I read NO RETURNS NO EXCHANGES on their receipt, and they wouldnt answer calls I figured it meant they literally just sell you garbage then give you the finger once you complain. Turns out you gotta hit the power button 5 times fast to turn it on... Still wish theyd have just answered their phone. Also not liking the no returns policy. But the vape does work...

This place is awesome! Every kind of tobacco, marijuana, etc. product I could imagine and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It is my go-to place for cigarettes and scented products that help remove the smell of tobacco from my home, clothes, and car. Highly recommended! 🤩

They have a very large variety of Glass, Capes and some cigs. there. They have a very large selection of Vapors and electronic devices that will cause a shopping pause. Worth it. The flavors are too many to tell all. Their entire wall is a display.

Worst Place Ever. They dont deserve your hard earned money. I have never before had service this horrid in my life. Within 5 mins of coming and telling the employee that I was lookung for a new personal vaporizer as mine had died earlier that day. I was told that I would have to leave as he had become very busy suddenly with inventory that had been delivered. That if I wanted to buy something I would have to come back at a later time. If a customer is in your store who in there right mind tells them to come back some other time. Especially when I can buy the same item I would have purchased from the for much cheaper online given there mark up is about 25-60% on vape products.

Chris and the owner are for sure the nicest, most helpful people Ive ever met at a smoke shop. Definitely going out of my way to make sure this is the only place I go to pick up whatever I need to. Customer service like that is beyond rare these days and that made my night. Thanks, yall!

There were two dudes working yesterday one was in training. They were friendly and knowledgeable about the dab pens, and I felt right at home! By the way the prices were absolutely spot on!

Good little smoke shop thats a tad pricey but is as packed full as it can be for its size. Smokes, roll your owns, vapes, pipes, water pipes, oil pipes, tons of lighters and torches and whip its! If whip its are your thing but not for me lol. Point is this place has a selection and the staff is for the most part knowledgeable but at times cranky and not to personable and that is why I didnt give out the fifth star. You guys may have to deal with a$$holes all day but that doesnt mean you have to be grumpy cranky zombies when your good regular customers pay that store damn good money.

This place has a great selection of Vape supplies. and an even better selection of glassware . scales, baggies, e-nails ,kratom . the only reason I dont give it 5 stars is because a lot of the stuff is simply overpriced if you were looking for bong or a torch anything that is not likely to last forever youre better off and downloading an app called dhgate ordering stuff from China I believe thats what they do anyways.

The cigars are extremely under humidified. The device in the humidor shows on the display that the case is around 50-55% every time Ive gone in. It should be up around 65-70% at all times. Despite this, I did once buy a pair of Fuente 858s and when I got home found them both to be extremely dried out and featured a couple holes from tobacco beetles. This is not good. This is not normal. Ill continue to buy cigars from reputable dealers, with proper humidification, and where I can look over and select the cigars that I want to purchase. I still drop in and look whenever I am in the neighborhood. Someday hopefully things will change.

The smell of incense and various herbs in the store is overwhelming, even appalling to me because of what it implies about the air quality (particulates in the air). The rolling papers and filters I bought were tainted by the smell of the incenses. I threw them away, wasted my money, bc I dont want to be inhaling random incense and herbal residue from the air. Its a gross musty, super deep, pungent smell.

I went to pick up a specific type of glass on glass bowl with a built in screen. They apologized for not having it, and said theyd just give new some glass screens. After he handed me the glass screens he said, That will be $10. I said wtf? I dont want a flower bowl that needs screens and already told you that. Now, you want to sell me what you told me what youd give me. Thanks for wasting my time.

Every puff bar Ive purchased there has stopped working shortly after leaving. After a little research, Ive determined that there definitely selling fake puff bars. Not cool

Reported to BBB! Beware they sell USED equipment and claim its new. Upon getting my new device home, opened it to see it came with 100s scratches, paint chipped and a loose button. The device also destroyed the $90 tanker I screwed on immediately. They refuse any returns or exchanges, having zero regard for selling broken goods as new.

Im a loyal customer of HOP!!!Since stumbling upon them last year I go out of my way to only buy my Djarums from them which sell for $5.40. In the 10 years Ive been looking Ive never found a pack sell for less than $7.00 anywhere on the west coast. I can only assume they arent taking much of a profit.They also have an awesome selection of just about every kind of specialty tobacco that exists and glass pipes the best local artists.
