The Stable

The Stable has changed for the better in the past few years, it feels like a more inclusive space for everyone. The bartenders are very responsive and make excellent drinks. The price for cocktails is excellent compared to other bars.This is the perfect pregame spot before making your way to other bars and clubs. Or if you like a relatively calmer place to meet new people, it’s also great for that too.There’s a outdoor patio area in the back. There’s a small stage/DJ booth for the various shows that occur throughout the week.

This place is a bustling gay bar situated in down town providence. Is an okay place and the service is great if your good looking. However good luck getting a drink if your not hot. The bartenders pick and chose who they serve and they will look right over you like you dont exist if your not their type. If you do somehow manage to get their attention they will treat you like your bothering them asking for a drink at a bar.

Strong drinks and fun atmosphere. Not overpriced like nyc and Boston bars. I enjoy sitting at the bar watching the music videos. Can get pretty crowded and out during the weekends.

Been coming here on and off for the past 14 years. Wonderful gay bar, one of my favorite places to stop in after work!The Neon Rainbows IPA is definitely worth it. One of my new favorite beers!

Came here for my first night out since I’ve been sober on a Monday night , my friends all drink so I was fully expecting to feel a little weird drinking my water while they all drank cocktails , the bartender was wonderful & made me the cutest mocktail , he was super friendly & not annoyed at all by the request , made my day is an understatement. I didn’t have cash on me but I can’t wait to come in to thank him properly .

Opened a tab, but bartender kept my card. They assumed I was a flight risk, dine and dash. Not good. Not coming back here.

I visited the Stable in Providence on my vacation through New England. Mike and Brent were working behind the bar and they were super welcoming. They made recommendations for other attractions, bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. The afternoon crowd was amazing and so were the drinks. Try the Sangria selections when you are there. Friendly staff and friendly locals. I will definitely make the Stable my first stop when I return.

Popular all wel welcome here from all life styles and ethnic backgrounds. Ive never had to put that in something in my life, until this time in our lives. Upscale friendly crowd great staff incredible drinks reasonable prices clean bathrooms what else do you want its a winner great place to go with the outside back patio when weather permits

Entertaining place, to say the least. The bartenders, in addition to being quite attractive, are quick; you dont have to wait very long for a drink. The outdoor area is a nice spot to lounge and/or smoke. It gets really packed sometimes, but seating is usually available. No food, just booze.

Their sangrias are just perfect. The vibe in this place is totally different and in a relaxed and cool way. I can’t wait to come back get more drinks. The bartenders are super friendly and seem to be pretty welcoming. If you want a stable night, then check them out.

Middle of February and pretty cold. My husband and I were looking for a place to take our dogs. The Stable seems to be one of the only places in Providence with heated outdoor seating, crazy given covid and its winter. Thank God its also a gay bar! The bartender was super friendly and cute! The other patrons were also very friendly. Excellent gay bar, I will definitely be back next time Im in Providence!

Favorite bar in Providence. Staff is absolutely adorable and friendly. Drinks are solid and the clientele is great. Its also an incredibly welcoming and inclusive safe space for LGBTQIA+ people.

The staffs were always super super rude! Feels like they hate their job and forced to do so. Maybe they are. But there is no reason to take it out on customers who just walked in.

Who doesnt love sangria Sunday?! The drinks are always mixed well and service is usually pretty timely.The only thing I dislike is on a good (busy) night, it is shoulder to shoulder busy and can be difficult to move around without elbowing your neighbors as you walk by.

I spoke to a bartender who approached me with a false sense of entitlement, after waiting for several minutes to be helped. The entire time I was waiting I watched the owner flirt with a younger group of guys and caressed his bartenders chest. The entire experience just seemed very unprofessional and out of place since Id heard so many good reviews before going.

Went to this bar with a group of friends to pregame before dark lady, wish we went somewhere else tbh. The bartenders were not very nice, it sort of seemed like we were annoying them trying to get a drink lol....
