Being the only country dance hall in the area, this place has a lot of potential to grow if they wanted to.Very traditional/old style of place. When theres a DJ, he plays almost an hour straight of slow country songs that couples are dancing to. Then hell play maybe 2 line dances or hip hop songs, then go back to the almost hour of slow country.. and repeat. Pretty boring for someone who is there by themselves to join group line dances.Even when a bunch of people get on the floor for a fun, modern line dance, he still only plays a couple of them. He should mix them evenly....a few slow country songs then a few popular line dancing songs, etc.Older crowd (50+). No website. No cover when a DJ is playing. Half price cover before 8pm. (check their FB for info).Old bar system where the bartender keeps your card... Which wastes time when you want to close out and she has to look through a large stack of cards to find yours.Food is simple, but good. Really yummy pizzas and friendly staff.

The place is bigger than it looks. The bartender was very friendly. Very clean. Went on a night without a live band so was not loud at all. Could hear us talking

BEST country bar in DFW hands down! Every person I encountered on 6/1/24 from the bar tenders, to the regulars were so inviting and caring. I felt right at home. I will be going to Ranch House anytime I feel like 2 steppin!

Cute bar. Good pool tables. It was pretty empty when my husband and I went but it was kind of nice. There were couples dancing to 90’s and 2000’s country which was nice to watch. Nice country bar!

Went here for Extreme Midget Wrestling and was not disappointed! Its a country western bar with a sizeable dance floor and a couple of walk up bars. There was waitress service too. Fun place and cool atmosphere.

I am not really into country and western music but the people here are extremely nice music is good its just a good place to hang out and meet new people and see old friends. My best friend had her birthday party there December 2nd 2023 and we had a really good time everybodys so nice. Drink prices are reasonable highly recommend this place whether you like country or not its a mixture of everything.

We would come here quite often. Good bands with decent drink prices but it really dropped. Bands were so-so at best and they started cheating on the drinks. We ordered fireball shots and noticed that the bottle she poured from was almost frozen. After she tried to charge us premium prices we then noticed it tasted different. We suspect that they were pouring watered down fireball or had switched to the wine based fireball. Our group thought that the other drinks ordered seemed weaker as well.

After the $12 cover for nothing, it took the bartenders 20 minutes to get thru a line of 10 people. Then they were out of most beers. Worst service ever. The band was great though. The band gets my star, because the bar doesnt even deserve 1.

Bartenders are not friendly unless youre one of the 95% regulars that make up the crowd there.Great atmosphere, great music, free pool and cold beer.One of the few real country bars on the East side of DFW.

Been here a few time because its right down the street from my house. Short lines, live band on Saturday. However coming from a different state and a small town, I was disappointed that there was no actual line dancing happening, all couples dancing besides the wobble and the cupid shuffle which are not country music songs. I was expecting a lot more out of this bar. Also took them over 2 weeks to run my tip out. Not saying Ill never go back but still looking for a place to line dance and this ones off the list.

A rip-off place. We asked about drink pricing & were told $2 beer & $3 well drinks. My wife asked for Gin & Tonic. Bar tender showed her a gin bottle and asked if it was OK. She asked if was gin & he said yes. We put our drinks on a tab. When we paid up we found her drinks were $7 each. We were told the gin wasnt a well gin.None of the advertised opening times/activities/menu/online photos are correct. New owner has never updated any online info. Only open on Friday & Saturday.

Great BBQ. Drinks are a little pricey, the live band was good. The only suggestion that I would have is to have different songs that alow different dance styles. Here the three step dance style rules,I and others with me like progressive double two step dancing. There was little to no difference in music. Which is not necessarily a bad thing depending on what age group the owner is wanting to cater to. But still a enjoyable experience.

New Year’s Eve was a joke band was bad quit at 11 Bar stop serving at midnight The owners not did not disclose all of this information. When you reserved a table, it wasn’t the table you got

It was pretty dead on a Friday night. Thankfully we had a fun time. It was nice it was easy to reserve tables for my birthday event. We had fun anyways. Wish it didnt close so early. Glad they finally got rid of smoking inside!!

We went with another couple for drinks after dinner. There was a live band and they were good. We played many games of pool and drank. We stayed there for 4 hours. It was fun

Dropped in Saturday night to dance and listen to the band. This place was very clean: tables, chairs, even the bathroom floor. The dance floor is very well cared for, it was swept just before the band started and new chalk put down. Ranch burgers were good, mozzarella sticks were awesome. Music volume was great, just low enough that you can be heard without shouting. Staff was polite and attentive.

Great dance floor. Food was good and lots of choices. We visited on a Friday night and lucked into a dance lesson. Teaching from a female perspective was helpful. Live dance band too! We will definitely go back!

1st time here this evening. The place was packed and everyone was having a good time. The live country music was at the right volume and the crowd was enjoying the SWIFT JUSTICE band. If you are in the area, I highly recommend checking this place put for some drinks and country dancing.

I have only been here 2 times, but so far I really enjoy this place. I go to dance, and the women do too. I would say the average age is middle 30 and up, which I like. A mature and respectful group of people, and the women understand that just because you ask them to dance doesnt mean youre trying to take them home. Not the case with a younger crowd. Over all its a great place, and Im going again tonight to see the Keith Mitchell band and do some more dancing!

It doesnt change and thats a good thing. We used to dancing there on weekends about 10 years ago. Went a couple of weeks ago with friends and its exactly what I remembered. Good sized dance floor and bands play good CW music. Drinks are not expensive and they have food if youre hungry. They have pool tables in back or sit out front at the bar theres always people to talk to. Theres a $5 cover after 8 and bring your ID - I dont care how old you are, they scan it. Mostly a crowd in their 40s and up Im guessing.

Cold beer, country dance floor, and fast service. Whats not to love? It is an older crowd (40 +) but they can boot scoot!

Pros: Great dance floor, great music selection, well priced drinks, very good house band, extremely friendly patrons and staff.Cons: They dont *really* serve food anymore, for example they had wings and fries only on the night I was there. The no in-and-out policy is a little aggravating and Id recommend that they change that.All in all we had a very good time and I would recommend this place to anyone interested in 2 stepping in the area. It is a smoking establishment so be prepared.

Great Country Cover Bands to Dance to. Medium size good Dance floor. Pool tables. Friendly Staff and customers. Easy to find dance partners if single. Decent drink prices. Good Chili Cheese fries and Cheese Fries. A little dated but has its charm. I recommend this place.

Y’all are actually so unprofessional when it comes to dealing with musicians. I cannot believe what you guys did with the band that was playing tonight. Everyone was having a great time, complimenting the band, buying them rounds, buying merch and the owner kicks them off the stage?? And for what?? Playing some originals and a couple acoustic songs. Had them travel multiple hours and not pay them because the owner came up with excuses because he wasn’t happy. Y’all are petty as hell and I feel bad for whoever has to deal with this bars owner. Not a great way to start a bar that’s for damn sure.

Food is horrible. Its the sort of stuff youd eat just cause youre desperate for food to sober you up at 2am. Mixed drinks are weak. Chalkboard drink promos on the wall, are just decor, they dont actually have them... even though the sign says Now Offering. I advise sticking to beer... though they dont have a good selection of that either. Owner & his entitled friends also camped out at a couple pool tables so others were unable play. More people sitting than dancing.

I have lived in the area for a long time and had never been to the Ranch House. A group of friends several who have been there all decide to go. What a great Experience we all had. An old Fashioned country dance hall right in my back who knew. Brought me back 30 years. The service was excellent and the Beer was Cold. We cant wait to go back.

Cozy and large dance floor...great music and bands. The staff is very caring and helpful. Everyone looks out for each other and guest.

I have been to this establishment multiple times, but based on my last visit this previous Saturday, I would never, could never, and will never go back. I recommended this place to my friends, and the way that we were treated was embarrassing.It mainly started when my friends and I were taking pictures at our table. A guy who worked there, came over to our table asked if we would like him to take it for us, we said sure. He walks away and clearly had no intention of taking the picture. Super smug and rude about it. A little bit later, I was talking to Jessica (Amazing bartender, by the way) and expressed my frustration at his behavior. He ended up coming over and overhearing, and essentially told me that he didn’t care. There was even another lady that worked there, whose name I didn’t get, shook her head in disbelief. I asked Jessica who the manager was, and she informed me that he was the manager, but the owner was there and maybe I could talk to him about it. When I went to talk to the owner, he barely even looked up at me and told me to go talk to the manager. At this point, I am confused, because I have a complaint about a manager. Owner says, “well go talk to the manager, that’s what I pay him for.”I decide at this point, that I am obviously not getting any decent customer service from anyone here, so I’ll leave. I went to pay my tab, and I still had a beer in my hand, which of course I wasn’t thinking, but this same manager blurts out “You can’t take that out of here dumb ass!” Yes, the “manager” said that. Stephanie (also a rare sweet gem here) apologizes to me and informs me that the owner will deal with it. I have a hard time believing that the owner will take care of anything seeing as though he sat right there and invalidated my frustrations and concern, and never came over and intervened when his manager called me a dumb ass.My friends and I were standing up near the front booth and talking amongst one another, and finishing up our drinks and the entire time, another guy who was the bouncer I am assuming, was standing next to us (no idea why) and then suddenly says “I’m getting sick of this! Just get out!”Let me not even mention the amount of men that kept touching the women in this bar. This facility does not respect women. I was the only black person in the bar, and I am not saying they are racist, but no one else was being treated in that manner. So, you make your own assumption on that one. The men who work here exhibited very narcissistic behavior. They were very rude in a subtle manner in the beginning, but the minute I got upset about it, their rudeness and disrespect became very outward, got worst, and no one stopped it.Aside from being a person of color, as a woman I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is not safe and the men here feel like they can say and do whatever they want.Stephanie and Jessica, you women are amazing! I seriously wish you all the best.

Great bbq, smoke runs deep through into the meat. Neat bar also. Big, dance floor, good music. Drinks priced fair good happy hour menu.

This place was awful. I met a couple mom friends for a night out and everything about the place was bad. Minus Jessica the bartender- she was fabulous. The manager and owner are both very rude and very racist. For absolutely no reason they treated our group.very poorly. The overall crowd there seems to be a lot of lonely men who dont know how to keep their hands to themselves and get offended when you tell them to leave you alone. I wish I could give it less stars, bit I know for sure I will never go back nor recommend it to anyone.

Always enjoy the bands and dancing, BUT watch out when you walk in. They add a 20% tip on the credit card machine for your cover charge without you knowing it. Really Really tacky.

No in and outs, food is pitiful, drinks were ridiculously weak and shots half size, very smoky inside, and very slow service. Ive been here 5-6 times for poker with friends and hate it every time. This place could be a lot better if they just changed a few things.

This was a fun place. The performer, Aubrey Lynn was great. They have a good dance floor and really friendly staff.

Went there for the first time to see a friend play last Sat, in one of the regular bands that plays there. Bought a couple drinks first thing $14.00 with a $5.00 tip on my card. After that, I got cash out of their atm for the rest of the night. My bank statement shows two transactions, one for $14.00 and the second for $14.25? Thought something was fishy when he had me do a debt transaction, cause I wouldnt open a tab. Being a bartender myself, thats pretty jacked up. Ill be talking with them soon. Had a great time that night too. What a letdown.

The ranch house has always been a fun place to go. There were not many people there because it was aa Thursday night but the had a realy good singer there by the name of Shelby Ballenger you should check her out you can find her on YouTube

What a fun place! New ownership! Killer band and great burgers! Staff was on top of everything, which was amazing! Place was packed, and they were speedy all night long.

Bartenders were awesome, pricing was normal. Not too high. Atmosphere was fun but wish they had a little more selection of songs for dance breaks.

Its small enough that you dont feel over crowded. Live music is always good and Kelly, one of the bartenders is always on point. Been going here for years...

A Lil smoky. Great crowd & pretty good music. A lil loud & heavy on the bass side. Had a good time. Havent been there in a very long time. Hasnt changed much. Will be back asap.

I was highly disappointed with the service received at the bar in this place. It was my first time and i was trying to understand what kind of beers they had to place an order. The guy at the bar was really rude and treated me like i was an illiterate. You guys charge a fee to enter your Ranch and then treat people this way.I would never to go this place again!

Bartenders are super niceIf you pay a cover though on Friday or Saturday night ther is no stamp for your hand they do not let you re-enter. But you can smoke inside.
