This place is the best! I ate the biscuits and gravy plate and was very full. The bottomless mimosas were to die for, and the atmosphere is amazing. The girls are so sweet and truly enchanting with their dancing. Out of all of our visits in St. louis this one stands out the most. I strongly recommend going to check it out!
I came here for a brunch show and was not super impressed initially. We walked in and my shoes immediately stuck to the floor. The show ran about 20-30 minutes late. The food was cold, unseasoned, not good quality, and they were missing ingredients that day. As other reviews have mentioned, skip the dinner and attend the evening show if you want to come. The dancers were good — some were great, others didn’t really seem excited to be there. Stage presence is essential in a burlesque club. Honestly, the entire experience felt a bit cheap considering the price. I think they have a great idea, a fun show overall and some very talented team members. Based on reviews and photos/videos, their themed shows seem to be the best ones overall. I may try this place again for one of those but overall, it was a lackluster experience. I think if they got rid of the dinners and shifted their focus to the show, atmosphere and drinks, they’d flourish.
We had a super fun night. The food was hot and delicious. Loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend going with one advice: Refuse to be seated up top. This was almost a 2 start review. We were originally seated in the upper section with a large pillar blocking our view of center stage and stage lights blocking even more! (See photo) The table was unnecessarily small. (We knocked the menu off to the floor below.) We felt left out of the fun everyone else was having below. Sure they had a tv so we could see but thats not the same. We finished dinner before the show started and walked downstairs where the fun was. The staff understood and sat us at an unused table. We had a great night. Tickets for up top need to sold at a discount with a warning!
The Boom Boom Room’s customer service is unmatched. Dana was beyond helpful at rescheduling our party of seven’s tickets due to a last minute change of plans. Also, all the hosts were beyond welcoming and the atmosphere was unparalleled for a fun girls night out. Also, I highly recommend going to the 7PM dinner show because their food is top tier. I had the stuffed chicken and it was delightful!I can not recommend enough the fun that is to be had at the Boom Boom Room! If you haven’t been, book your tickets now☺️
Excellent show, wonderful performers - Just say no to the food. The experience of the show felt empowering. The performers are incredible and clearly have a passion for their work. Let’s talk Food - everything we ordered was Spicy (also the same flavor of spice) The green beans, the couscous, even the cheese curds (why I’m not sure). It was incredibly disappointing because I left 90% of my food on my plate. Now if you have issues with heat or simply cannot digest heavily spiced foods I wouldn’t recommend any item. Also since there was no mention of this on their menu be careful if you have allergies or food restrictions. My party also agreed it was unreasonable the amount of heat on all the dishes. I tripled checked the menu and heat wasn’t mentioned. I left very hungry.Other than that the staff were polite, quick and kind. It’s a wonderful experience I would just skip the food and stick to the drinks and be prepared for an INCREDIBLE SHOW
An absolutely amazing show, solo performances were jaw dropping. So worth going too especially with a medium sized group. Although I would fully skip food and stick with wine or beer. We were warned about the food and went to the late show, still got an appetizer to try and no one in our group liked it. Drinks were a mixed bag, most of the cocktails werent made correctly and for the price really should be. Also our waiter forgot drinks repeatedly even when we pointed them out on the menu but we werent charged for them so it wasnt the biggest deal. Still, I would go back for the show and thats really all you should be there for. If they could raise the quality of the food and drinks this place be a must see for anyone visiting.
The show was great! The girls were amazing and DJ was hilarious! However the dinner option you have to get at the 7pm show was very disappointing. My steak and twice baked potato wasn’t hot but yet was hard a hell like it sat in a warmer for hours. I couldn’t even get a fork in my potato. The chicken my daughter had was dry. The appetizers were good but I feel like those are made to order. The drinks were good and strong. I will go back but will never do the dinner show again. Not worth it!
This was my first time ever going to a burlesque show which was really cool. Me and my girlfriend went here for our 8 year anniversary. I was so excited to see it was Star Wars themed I did not even know that was going to be the theme which was super exciting. You guys all did a really good job I wish I remembered names of all the dancers, but my ears were shot after all the yelling we did. What a great time it was and every performance was done with a lot of passion and you can just tell the dancers loved what they did. I know other people have said otherwise on the food, but I have had a lot of NY Strips in my days and mine was DELICIOUS. My girlfriend got the vegan dish and she said she really enjoyed it which is great. I got the chips and queso appetizers and it came out very hot which was awesome. My only complaint is to please put a steak knife in utensil setup you have because I was shaking the table trying to cut my steak with a butter knife. It was still great though and I think you have a great thing going here and I hope to come back for your Murder Mystery night because that sounds awesome. Thank you for a very unique experience I appreciate you all.
The Dahl & I were invited to the Boom Boom Room last night. We had an absolute blast!! Our server, Rae, took excellent care of us all night. We ordered two different shrimp appetizers that were outstanding. The main course comes out during the show. I ordered steak and the Dahl ordered salmon. Now you all that know me, know I Have a culinary soul and will review food honestly.Chef Currie, you knocked it out of the park. That steak was so flavorful & juicy. You can also tell they use quality meat. The Dahls salmon was perfectly cooked. Portions were decent and the prices were fair.Ok, The show... The MC was absolutely perfect. She has a very sweet soul and a real natural knack to host a show. The Burlesque Showgirls were fabulous. These girls not only entertained you, they took you back and delivered a real burlesque experience. We highly recommend this place, if you want a great date night for a fun place to take a group This is an A+ option. We met with the owners at the end of the show. You can tell their heart and soul is in this establishment 100%.
I read some of the reviews after I purchased tickets for my fiance birthday, I almost thought I made a bad purchase, but we went anyway. All the comments about the food not being good and cold is crazy. Food was fresh, hot and so delicious!! The burlesque show was beautiful, very intriguing, dancers were gorgeous 😍. This was a wonderful experience.
We’ve been going to shows regularly for the past 3 months and will continue to go! The themes are fun and the performers truly are athletes, they put on a great show. Katie the hostess and our servers Janay and Gabbi always provide great service. Kevin the bartender never disappoints with awesome drinks!
I would have loved to leave a good review as we were so excited for this experience. Our waitress Sarah was extremely rude. For the price you pay I would hope for a much smoother service. The prices do not match the website so expect to pay more. We ordered spinach dip but received queso which arrived with our entrees not before. We didn’t see Sarah again for over 20 minutes. We ate the dip but when she came back to the table we wanted her aware we received the wrong item so our bill would be updated. Her response was “well you ate it so..” yes, we didn’t want it to go to waste we just wanted our bill updated. The couple we were with didn’t receive their toasted ravioli appetizer until we were half way through with our meal and they were hard and burnt. We arrived 45 minutes early to order appetizers and drinks as the website advised so receiving appetizers with/after our entree is absurd. When our bill arrived we noticed we were charged for the spinach dip we ordered not the queso we received. When we brought this to Sarah’s attention she stated with an attitude “well I’m pretty sure it’s the same price..” I advised the website stated otherwise. She updated it by one dollar. When she brought the check back I put out my hand but she slid it on the table without saying a word. I’ve never had such rude service for no reason. My table was extremely kind to her but we expect to pay for what we receive. Which is more than the website states. The show itself was a lot of fun but not the classic burlesque you expect. The group routines are pretty mundane, with arbitrary choreography. Just seemed sort of thrown together. The solo performances were amazing. The show started over 40 minutes late and had about 15 minutes of technical difficulties which the host handled well. The chairs are extremely uncomfortable so be prepared for that as we were there for over four hours. Overall the food was ok but the service was horrendous. I would recommend attending a show where food isn’t involved so you can purely enjoy the show.
Was part of a large party of 16 and we were seated last. There was not enough eating utensils on the table when the salad arrived. We had reservations - why wasnt the table prepared properly? It was difficult to eat during the light changes and strobe lights of the performances - imagine eating a salad in the dark! My chicken was great favorable and warm, but the mashed potatoes and vegetable were stone cold. How disappointing. I did not see the server until she brought the last two dinners for our party -- five or ten minutes from the end of the show. One would expect a more delectable dinner at $35 a plate. Initially we were charged for two drinks we never received, but that issue was resolved. Have to wonder if Boom-Boom was understaffed or we had a newbie server who wasnt experienced. I will not be back.
The show was great, our waitress was great, the time it took to get our food was not so great, we were so late getting our food that the show was ending, most of our party said their food was good, however, the steak orders were still mooing. It wasnt cheap for dinner and show, it felt packed, and unorganized, if I were to do it again Id skip the meal altogether, ( if possible) . No regrets about the show, those girls rocked it!!
Dancing, food, and drinks. With its impressive styling, delicious food, and talented dancers the boom boom room is a St. Louis must see. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. At $45 a ticket and $35 for a plate ( Choices being chicken, steak, or seafood all of which are delicious) it is a little pricey, but definitely worth that once in a lifetime trip.
Never been to a burlesque show before. The wife had before, said it was a good time. Its an adult thing, but not as womanizing as stripping or something. Carries class and is more of a performance. The performance was nice, we went for the star wars themed show, and it was surprisingly an awesome idea as well. 💯 💶
The show, the performers - 5 stars!!!!The food - 2 stars. Entrees are wayyyyyy overpriced for the quality of the food. The appetizers were better. The service - 3.5 stars. I think our server did the best she could, she was clearly very busy, but that meant she wasn’t able to come by our table very often. it was difficult to order more drinks. Maybe they’re understaffed?Overall, next time I think I will just skip the dinner show and go for the late show :)
The show was entertaining. The hostess/MC did a great job. The venue has a nice vibe. We attended the dinner show and service was bad from the start. We were attending as a group and they didnt get us all seated together initially even though we all made reservations using the same group name. They finally resolved that issue after one person in our group had to wait in the lobby for about 15 minutes. It was hard to get anything from our server... additional water bottles, water cups, eating utensils. And despite being there before many other larger groups arrived, we were the last table to get food. Many tables even had to-go containers by the time we got food. Food was okay. They do last call way too close to the end of the show. I got another drink about 5 minutes before last call and we were getting kicked out so that they could prep for the next show even though I was trying to finish my drink. The worst part is that gratuity is automatically included so it explains why servers dont have to provide great service.
We celebrated our anniversary here last night, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations. Despite paying $35 per ticket, we were seated in front of a 3 ft wide concrete pillar, hindering our view of the stage. When I requested a better seat, the waiter attempted to find a solution, but the venue claimed it was sold out. After a 20-minute wait, we were moved to a different location, albeit farther away. Despite the distance, we were grateful for the change, as it allowed us to have an unobstructed view of the stage and everyone around us. However, the table was sticky, and the chairs had loose screws, making us feel like we were on the verge of falling off.The atmosphere was so dim that we couldnt even see our food, but I could tell it was practically mooing, as the steak I ordered medium was disappointingly undercooked. To add to the frustration, we received no silverware, and the promised salad was delayed. When the salad eventually arrived, it was hastily thrown together, lacking presentation. Moreover, the waiter appeared rushed and was not very friendly throughout the evening, adding to the overall disappointment. On top of that, we sat with our steak getting cold for 5 minutes with no way to eat it. After waiting for silverware, my spouse ended up getting a butter knife, while I received a steak knife, creating an inconsistency in service. It felt like a joke, further diminishing the dining experience. All steaks on the menu are supposed to be cooked medium, and it would be nice for them to actually achieve that temperature so we can enjoy the meat. Despite the show managing to redeem the evening to some extent, the overall experience didnt live up to the high expectations set by the venues online presentation. Unfortunately, I wont be returning, as the price didnt justify the dinner served or the quality of service. Proceed with caution if you decide to give it a try.
Awful experience, will not return. Large party of 27, yet only one server. Understandably overwhelmed, but still came off very rude (you work customer service, hold it together). TOOK OVER AN HOUR to even order our drink (show didnt even start yet). Then drinks didnt arrive until half way through the show, with the food following 10 minutes later. We were there from 7 to 10. So thats ridiculous to me. There wasnt enough silverware. Never verified what we ordered, just brought out plates of food. Im a picky girl, and i admittedly like my steaks medium well to well done.. my steak was beyond pink! Youd think theyd ask how wed like it, considering how expensive it is. There was no preperation or anything. We had to pay 45 dollars for a reservation per person. On top of the food and drinks we were buying. And you were not even prepared for us. This was just not a great experience of a burlesque for me, I was so annoyed and parched, I couldnt enjoy the show. I really just had greater expectations.
Was there from Illinois Saturday night to celebrate my 27th birthday with my husband for their Halloween show. The show was very entertaining and the ladies were beautiful and amazing with their acts.Although there were some things that weren’t up to par, We still had a lot of fun.The waitress was attentive and came back to check on us several times, the hostess and bartenders were all very friendly. They serve large alcohol towers or fish bowls which were fun and we were also seated on the first row. They were worth it because one cocktail was like $10-$15 compared to a tower which was $40 to share between 2 people. The down sides were that the table for 2 people were extremely small. We already had a balloon bouquet, menus, and with the alcohol tower it took all room. So when we ordered food our 2 plates didn’t fit well and my husband accidentally knocked over an alcohol drink. It was a bit annoying too to squeeze in through people to go to the bathroom because the tables were so close together. Also, not a huge deal but everyone in the front row seemed to be VIP which I paid for and they had a crown on their table. But mine was missing. Either it was forgotten or someone stole it before we were seated. My husband seemed to enjoy the spinach artichoke but i did not enjoy the nachos. They were cold and lacked flavor so I did not eat them. Most of their menu selections they were out of.Also if you purchase the VIP be prepared to go on stage and participate. They called everyone celebrating up there . It was nerve wrecking but it was also fun. I would return again if ever in the area but eat somewhere else.
If you care about and want to support performers please visit other establishments. The management is controlling and abusive with zero accountability. Performers go unpaid while being expected to put the business first despite waking up to blow up texts and tweets from the owner and are then fired for speaking out. This is not a place that respects its employees. Your bachelorette and birthday parties will be far better served elsewhere. I did not work here. I have seen the shows and I am a former spouse of a performer and I have seen both sides. DO NOT SUPPORT THE BOOM BOOM ROOM. Support another establishment and keep your conscience clear. My heart goes out to the performers who’s hard work has been exploited.
I want to start off by saying we had a good time watching the show. The place is really cool and the dancers were awesome. There were two main problems, though. We paid for the celebration package and didnt really get anything extra (as in the stuff listed on the website) except the shot. We also reserved two meals and never got those either. At the very end we got the check, which included the price of two meals, and I had to point out we never got any food. It was especially annoying because youre required to order a meal for the dinner show, so we came hungry. They eventually offered the meals but there was maybe 10-15 minutes of the show left, so there was no point. The table next to us had the same problem. We will go back, but we wont upgrade and wont go for the dinner show.
If i could give zero stars i would. the owner does not care about your experience, or the performers experience and it is painfully obvious. the “boom boom room” is a joke because of the ownership, all that’s cared about is money and greed. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. FIND A DIFFERENT ONE! there are several great other options! performers do not deserve to be treated the way they are, it is sickening. this is coming from an audience member. open your eyes please. owner needs a new profession.
Our Bachelorette party decided to try this for our main event. Showing up I had a good first impression of the atmosphere, walking into the tables the tiny dinner salads were already set out on the table. (yuck) halfway thru the show we still didnt have our dinner but they wouldnt let us cancel it. My 40 dollar steak was okay, the potatoes werent done and the green beans were cold. We got 3 toasted ravioli for 9.00. The show was pretty good but I left Sober and Disappointed :/
The show was amazing . It was a true delight . As a artist it was also inspiring....Ryan was literally breathtaking dancing to Roaxan.. I wish I could make it to the speak easy . I did not get pictures because I was so vested in the show . However I am posting my two drawings Ive done of my two favorite woman dancing.
The Boom Boom Room was a lot of fun! The dinner was just okay. On Friday nights they serve chicken and on Saturdays steak. We had the stuffed chicken breast. Good flavor, just a little dry. The atmosphere for the 7pm dinner and show was very low key. Started off with drinks and dinner. Because of the holiday season they were playing Christmas music. There are no TVs which is nice so you can focus on your date. The show was good. There was audience participation and everyone had a great time.
If you are going to St. Louis you MUST add a evening at the Boom Boom Room to your itinerary. On a recent bachelorette trip, our group participated in the Shimmy and Shake VIP Feature where we got to learn a short burlesque routine to perform at that evening’s show. During our 2 hour rehearsal, we were guided by our burlesque fairy godmother Lady Manhattan. She created a fun and welcoming atmosphere for our group. She led us through a routine that fit our various dance experience levels and made our group feel so special. The champagne breaks were very much appreciated! We left feeling fabulous and ready to embrace our inner Diva. The evening show itself was absolutely divine. Every member of the Boom Boom Room from the owners to the performers to the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The performance was so much fun and very interactive. When it came time to do the Shimmy & Shake, we had our fabulous guide, Lady Manhattan introduce us and guide us. Truly such a unique, fabulous experience if you are looking for a fun activity for you and your friends. Can not thank the Boom Boom Room enough for making our Bride-to-be feel so special and celebrating this time with our bachelorette party!
Went on a Saturday for my 40th birthday. The performances were fantastic! They are so great to watch. Love how they get the crowd involved. Our server was not the greatest. She was either overwhelmed or just didnt care. Food was bland and my steak wasnt even warm when i got it. Definitely not cxooked medium either. Potatoes were cold as well. All 12 of us agreed that it was not good. Took the server almost 20 min to get my fishbowl drink. Order 2 drinks at a time or you wont ever get one. I felt bad for the 1 bartender that was there. He was so busy. The hightop tables are so wobbly that i thought i was gonna to it over trying to cut my steak. So go to the late show and eat before you go. The dancers will NOT disappoint! Will definitely go back for the next show!
I sooo wish I could give 5 stars. I loved this place. The atmosphere, everyone was super friendly, especially the hostess. The show was amazing. The women seemed to thoroughly enjoy enjoy themselves and put on a really entertaining revue. The Emcee was also so funny. The food is where it lost it for me. We didnt get our food til 15 minutes before the show was over. My potatoes were not even cooked a little nor was the asparagus. My steak was okay but my husbands wasnt. It was just disappointing because it was fairly expensive. I would recommend going to a later show and just skip the food because this place is a gem and Id still go back.
This place is amazing! They spared no expense. Beautiful new club. The show was amazing. Such talented performers. Beautiful girls and guys, fire, Cirque du Soleil type performances, audience interaction, raucous atmosphere, inhibition is encouraged, funny/beautiful MC, light and sound system is over the top. This is not a fake review. I travel 6.5 hours just to see their show at least once a year. If you never see their show, youre missing out.
Show was supposed to start at 10:30 at 11 o’clock still waiting to be sat. Unless you’re a big group be prepared to wait disappointed in this for what we paid. This isn’t worth it
If there were only fewer stars… Dry salmon. Tostitos queso with three leaves of spinach stuffed in it. Party city decor on the tables. 1920s dubstep on the speakers. Plastic wedding venue chairs. incredibly slow service. No dress code. Premixed drinks in a glass bottle the bar tender pours into a glass for $12.
The BoomBoom Room was an amazing experience for our Bachelorette group! We arrived on Saturday night to realize our tickets were actually for Friday night. The employees were so nice and understanding of our mistake. They told us to get a drink and they’d find us a spot. They put a table together upstairs for us in no time. We got great service and delicious appetizers! This is a must for a date night or girls trip in St. Louis!
I can’t recommend the Boom Boom Room enough! I did this for my bachelorette party with five of my friends. We did the Shimmy Shake feature and it was the absolute BEST experience I could have ever asked for!! Lady Manhattan is forever my burlesque fairy god mother! The owners Brandy and her husband are AMAZING!! I can’t wait to come back for my next special event!
Went to the early show Friday. Beautiful performances, all of them were fantastic! I enjoyed the crowd participation and cheering loud to support these stunning artists!! Food was delicious and drinks were potent! I cannot wait to go back. If you are in St Louis you have to visit The Boom Boom Room!
Had an absolutely wonderful time with my girlfriend celebrating her birthday last night! The staff was friendly, witty, and charismatic. The entertainment was classy, elegant, exciting and kept us on the edge of our seat throughout the entire duration of the presentation. The show was right at the table, the entertainers interacted with the audience and made everyone in the room feel like they were part of the show. The VIP package was defiantly worth it! They brought my girlfriend on stage and made her feel like a hundred bucks. My sweet girlfriend had such a good time celebrating her birthday she was crying with happiness! Thank you so much BOOM BOOM BOMBSHELLS! We will defiantly be coming back!
Dinner Menu Fixe better than you’d expect. Beer selection better than wine selection. Servers very attentive. Opulent Moulin Rouge decor - very cool bar setup! Intimate stage setting for audience. Showgirls talented & entertaining. Fun idea for date night. Lots of happy couples were celebrating birthdays & anniversaries. Valet or private secure on-site parking would be a welcome addition.
Staff was friendly as can be, the owner was super awesome and nice. The dinner was disgusting and I’d highly recommend the show without the food. 76$ steak was like dog meat, and it came 8 minutes before the show was over. Absolutely horrid. The rest of the atmosphere and people were great including the show.
The people, the ladies, the drinks, the food, everything was top tier, and I love coming here any chance I can. They always put on a great show!
The show was incredible! The food was fantastic! Everything was amazing. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that the chairs were not comfortable. They were made of wood, and theres no cushions. But the performers were terriffic, and the food truly was delicious.
I want to start by saying that my rating for the girls alone is 5 stars. They were beautiful and did so SO well. The show was spectacular. With that being said, the service was terrible. We went for a brunch show. When we showed up, they have 4 listed to my party instead of 5. The hostess advised she had made a mistake then added a chair to our table, behind a pillar. We never got our salads. 1 person got the wrong meal. Another person ordered Biscuits & gravy and was given a Biscuit and jam. When we advised of this, they said to keep the Biscuit and SHE STILL GOT CHARGED FOR IT. THEN, she waited over an hour for her correct food to come out. 3 ladies ordered bottomless mimosas and had to ask the server for a refill every single time, and only got refilled 3 times total. I ordered a bloody Mary and asked for light vodka, and couldnt drink it because half of it was vodka. I ordered 1 drink which was $14, so just order bottomless if you order anything. He also put our entire tab on one order without asking. Someone picked it up and paid it because we didnt want to wait an hour for the correct bill per person.I normally let a lot of things slide and dont put any bad words out there, but for the cost of the experience I feel like I need to be truthful.I understand they may have new staff or short staffed like everyone is. But man, the service is half the experience and it was terrible.
I went to the dinner show this past Saturday, September 2nd, with my hubby & two other couples to celebrate my Bestie’s birthday. Listen, we had a good time! The show was great & very entertaining, the emcee did his thing, the ladies were beautiful & I love the fact that they had “real” bodies. The drinks were good & the food was yummy, BUT our waitress, Samantha was TERRIBLE!!! She was inattentive & forgetful. We ordered four shareable appetizers, but had no plates. We waited & waited for her to bring them, but she never did, so we started passing the big app plates around. Finally, I got up & went to the bar & asked for plates. She never came to clean the dirty plates so when our dinner came there was no room. I ordered a steak & wanted steak sauce, so I waited…she finally came & I asked for it, but guess what? She never brought it, so by that time my food was lukewarm at best. I just packed it up & brought it home. My hubby went to the bar to get our drinks. She just sucked!! This is why I don’t like forced gratuities because she was NOT worth the 20% we were made to give. I paid extra for the birthday package but missed part of the show because I had to keep getting up or looking around for her. If I’m going to spend $135 on just dinner for 2, I want plates, salt & pepper, hot food, steak sauce & to be checked on without waving my napkin in the air. It wasn’t even that busy. There were empty tables & I saw the other waitress checking on her tables. If service is going to be this poor & limited for dinner, you need to change your requirements of having to purchase dinner & forced 20% gratuity. I would’ve given more stars overall if I was just rating the show & the venue. Also, the lady in red who seated us was super friendly & helpful.
Wonderful places to go great atmosphere. Have been a few times. Highly recommend. Lots of fun. Great drinks and food. Great date night experience. Will definitely be back.
We went to the Boom Boom Room to celebrate a special event. Our server was very attentive. The show was great. The MC was a hoot. I would suggest the steak entre. The performers were available for a photo afterwards. I would suggest this event for a night of fun.
This place has yet to disappoint. We attended their Star Wars Show, and OMG, they took such good care of us. We were on our last date before our wedding, my fiancé made reservations and told them this, and called to ask about the food because the seasonings in the fall did not quiet agree with me. The Lady was cheerful and helpful, she remembered us when we got there we had Great Seats, and they remembered how I wanted my steak down to the detail! I love this place and so going back for another last date before the wedding!
This was a great fun night. Entertainment was awesome and the food was perfection! Cone and experience the fun!
The boom boom room was a huge reason we decided to go to St. Louis for a bachelorette, and it was so worth it! The host was fabulous. The performers are so talented. I was not expecting so many circus acts. They all clearly love their job and they are excellent at it. Such an absolutely fun time! We all started losing our voices cheering!
Waited for 45 mins and everyone got their food but us (party of 3 ) . Show starter at 7:35 without us ever getting food or drink service . Very disappointed as we were all excited to come.out
Show was good and the food ok. I got the steak, they didn’t even ask how i would like it prepared. Also ordered the flatbread bruschetta it came out about twenty minutes after the other appetizers and it was cold when it got to is. The real big problem is the cost if the show. DO JOT WASTE MONEY ON THE HIGHER PRICED SEATS. We paid for the MOST EXPENSIVE SEATS AND WERE SAT AS FAR AWAY FROM THE STAGE AS POSSIBLE. What a waste of money.
Just went last night and wow. Saw alot of reviews on the food not being great and me and my boyfriend were confused because it was freakn phenomenal! That salmon sauce ontop was greatttttttt. We had no complaints whatsoever. Cant wait to go back to see the Christmas show! Everyone there was absolutely fabulous and we couldnt have asked for a greater night!
Took my wife for our 15th wedding anniversary. She loves every second of the show. Dinner was good and her drinks she got amazing. Will definitely go back again for another show.
We had been to the boom boom room at its previous location and was expecting a similar show in a bigger venue. We had previously attended the dinner show and had to attend the late show this time as the earlier show was sold out. The late show is definitely different. Every number ends with pasties. There is less mystery and teasing as is usual with burlesque. We truly felt like we were at a strip show instead of a burlesque show. The performances were well done, the choreography was excellent. We were seated directly in front of the speakers and it was so loud we could not tell what song was being played. The audience was drunk, loud, and we were flashed numerous times by members of the audience.
10/10 experience from the dancers to the food. I came in for a friends birthday and it was such a good time !! I dont remember his name but we had the server with the long dreadlocks and he was super attentive even though we could tell he was busy. He recommended the princess Leia drink and it was soooo good !!
The experience of the show itself was fun, playful, and entertaining. My first disappointment came from the process of entering the facility itself. You purchase tickets online before the show, but upon entering the bar, nobody checks or scans your tickets. It doesnt make sense to receive digital tickets for them not to be scanned. That doesnt make sense to me at all. I attended the dinner show, and while I can respect paying $30 for entertainment and the show itself, I cannot justify paying $30 for a meal that wasnt even lunchroom cafeteria quality. The dinner was horribly bland and did not warrant the price tag by any stretch of the imagination. The steak was cooked well done with no sauce, glaze, or any seasoning. The vegetables appeared to be from a frozen steam bag, again with no seasoning, not even salt. Additionally, you are asked to select your meal prior to the night of the show, but then AT the show are provided a menu which you cant even order from, aside from adding an appetizer. We also had horrible seating, to the direct side of the stage. I dont think they should have seating that far to the side when you have guests paying to see a show. The temperature was also incredibly warm, to the point I was sweating. The performers were entertaining and I did enjoy the show itself, however, the other negative experiences outweighed the experience as a whole and I was disappointed.
This was our first time at The Boom Boom Room. Staff and service were impeccable. Fun atmosphere at a beautiful venue. Love that all types of bodies are celebrated and respected here. Felt good knowing theres plenty of security in and around the property. All around great experience.
Go for the show, not the service. Booked a table for 6 in advance and got put on the upper level. Initially, not a bad thing - we had a fair view of the entire show. Upstairs has its own bar which in theory is spectacular, but the bartender was hardly around. We waited over five minutes at the bar before going downstairs to order drinks. And there were three tables upstairs so not a tall order to fulfill. We never received our food until we inquired about it when we saw all other patrons below us had their food. Cocktails are underwhelming, food was average (none of it arrived hot), probably wouldn’t go back.Edit: I would 100% go back for the entertainment, the performers were amazing. Kudos to the owner for coming to talk to our table after our review and saying they’ll do better. That alone speaks volumes of how much they care about the guest experience. Updated from 3 to 4 stars
Would give 0 stars if I could. I worked as a performer here for 3 years too long. Can confirm the owners are terrible and treat the staff horribly.. to say the least. Don’t give this place your time or money.
First Visit With My Daughter For Her Birthday, We Attended The Halloween Event,We Loved Everything, Plan To Return, We All Had A Fantastic Ball.
We celebrated my friends 30th birthday with the Shake and Shimmy VIP and the dinner show. We had an AMAZING experience! We were taught a routine to perform at the dinner show by the lovely Lady Manhattan (head mistress) and she made us feel so special! The show was beautiful and everyone was so talented. We truly had such a lovely time and made some core memories! The dinner was yummy and the drinks were delicious! We will definitely be back! 💖
Reserved a table for a bachelorette party of 13. Called two weeks before to make sure they were able to handle our reservation, hostess said yes to go ahead and reserve the table. Tickets were reserved and the meal tickets were requested ahead of time as well. When we arrived, it was said we could mingle in the bar area until 7pm. We were taken to our table when we arrived at 6:40pm and told our server would grab our drinks and to try and not get up during the show because our server would be bringing our drinks. In our servers defense, it was busy and she had more than just our group to service (seemed very overwhelmed and she mentioned she was new). Drinks lagged throughout the whole evening, never came, or we would have to get up to go to the bar to get them. When the starters arrived, I told the waitress that we had 11 soups and 2 salads (which is what the menu on the website stated when I reserved and still is as of 10/27). We were told they werent serving the soup and everyone was getting salads. Once the main course arrived - the steak was over cooked (hamburger-esque texture), salmon was rock hard, chicken was not stuffed but breaded (menu online when booking says stuffed chicken breast and it was not, as of 10/27 the menu still says stuffed chicken) and the asparagus was almost raw. Overall our experience on the dinner side was very disappointing. The show was fun and interesting - Halloween themed! I have heard many good things of The Boom Boom Room and was displeased that this was not only the experience I did not received, but also the experience my sister and her friends did not received for her bachelorette party. I expressed this to the manager and she did remove a portion of our bill which was very nice since our experience was less than desired.
The show is phenomenal...and every performer was great! I also loved the host energy! However the food was horrendous! The food was undercooked, dry, and tasteless. Thank God.. my whole meal that being vegan was just comp!! The waitress offered to allow me to do just potatoes and asparagus and still the food was bare minimum! I would have preferred to just pay for the ticket and not do the dinner at all. I highly suggest you eat before coming or do the chicken, it actually looked like it was made with love. Last, but not least every waitress and waiter was phenomenal and really did so their best.
THIS WAS SO FUN OMG the dancers and speaker were talented and gorgeous, this was so fun and empowering to watch as a woman. Just order a drink first so youre so tipsy you dont notice the slow service 😂 the dancers are a good distraction anyways and you can tell the servers arent at fault. Im totally coming back! I loved the diversity too
Last night we attended the Valentines Day event for our anniversary. We had never see a burlesque show and we weren’t so sure what to expect. The whole night was fabulous! The performers, the setting, food and vibes…WOW! Thank you for a memorable night out!
The show was pretty good. The waitress was kinda slow. However, the manager working that night was horribly rude. She yelled at my husband and was quite mean to a lot of the workers there. I’m front of customers. Not a very good environment. But the actual performers put on a great show.
The performance was amazing, the service was terrible. After our server introduced us we didn’t see her again until our food was being served, which was a good hour or so in. The manager checked on us so we were able to order another drink which was our last because we didn’t see anyone else again after that. After being encouraged to start closing our tabs we had to actually wave someone down to get ours, and waited forever for them to come back, then my debit card was given back to a completely different table. The DJ started to tell everyone to please leave so they could get ready for the next show but our table and the table in front of us couldn’t because nobody had gotten their cards or change back. Since we couldn’t move the DJ decided to start screeching the stereos and it seemed intentional to get everyone to leave because there was no effort to stop it at all. I’m not sure if there is an order they take care if the tables or what because we were on the end and the table in front of us experienced the same service. Also the chairs are extremely wobbly and your sitting shoulder to should at your tables. I know everyone has bad nights, and maybe the server was new? I worked as a server/bartender for 8 years and I know I’ve had my nights too but it just seemed really disorganized, so if you’re gonna go here make sure you get a really good table so you’re not forgotten about. For me, this wasn’t worth $250 night it ended up being.
Hopefully this review will level your expectations so if you decide to take in the show you will know what to expect.Besides enjoying a good stage performance & having a son in the theater. I am a Business Consultant & Coach so my perspective might be a little different (and more extensive) than mostPros:Environment:Overall the décor was appealing in general throughout the place. Very dark which seems to be the norm for a burlesque style environment.Show:Really cute show. The girls were different shapes & sizes which was a really nice change. Body positivity is definitely encouraged here which was a real plus in my book!! The performers were very talented & really fun to watch. The MC was funny & engaging and kept everything flowing smoothly. Food:The one good food item we had was the spinach dip.Price:The price of the show was fair. Some of the drinks were fairly priced & the appetizers were fairly priced.Cons:Environment:The layout seemed a bit awkward as a lot of the seating was to the sides making the angles of the stage very difficult to see from most of the room. Yes they had a screen but if I wanted to watch what is happening on a screen I would have stayed home & watched online. I think they probably have a lot more space than it seems & a redesign is needed. If they moved the bar/kitchen to the back side of the space they would have a lot more room for the audience to be in front of the stage. The expectation here did not quite hit the mark. According to their website it is the largest burlesque club in the country. I find this very difficult to believe as the couple of shows I have been to prior seemed a lot bigger. The stage feels very small & the room is packed tight.Show:The sets were too short & felt very rushed. Part of the fun of a good burlesque show is the art of the tease. There wasnt a lot of tease because they didnt have time for all that. Each of these performers was truly talented in their own right so I would suggest giving them each a little more time on stage per set to really develop their act.The lighting on stage was way to low/or they were using too many dark colored lights, for most of the show, making get the best out of the performances.Food:Dinner food was Absolutely TERRIBLE – This is really the worst part of the whole thing. Why am I expected to pay $35+ for a meal that is actually horrible!! We had the steak & potatoes with green beans. Besides all coming out cold – the potatoes & steak were both over cooked (says cooked to medium on the menu but it was well done). The steak tasted like it had been soaked in water prior to being served. It was bland & flavorless, not to mention it was a very thin slice small cut of meat that was more like you would find as a cheap breakfast steak in a diner. On the other side of the flavor pallet the potatoes were so over seasons & spicy I couldnt eat them. TIP for the owner: Stop severing terrible pre-ready meals that really take away from the show. Instead offer more, easy to prep bar food charge a little more for that and/or the entry fee to make up the difference. Having the expectation of having to pay for a meal that is really terrible really takes away from the experience of the show & environment. Honestly making the meal a requirement for the show seems sort of scammy in the first place. Either find a way to serve a GOOD meal that you include in the price of the show ticket or dont serve that type of food! I vote for the ladder and instead upping your game on the bar food & make it menu service as desired. This way the food is fresh & presumably will taste better and more people will order it.Price:Some of the bar prices were very high, my husband ordered a double shot of bourbon & it was $20, yet their fishbowl drinks were $30?See food for my view on meal price.
My friend had a birthday group/ party there. The service, drinks, and food was amazing. As for the entertainment, you have to book a ticket and see it for yourself. It was memorable to say the least.
The Room, the Dancers, the drinks were mesmerizing! Drinks run from $12-$40 each, we paid $68.55 for 2 tickets to the show, and dinner entree was charged at $67ish each, so $135 for dinner. The only issue WE experienced was with the dinner. I had the salmon and my husband the steak. The salmon was cooked to perfection and was a nice size, however the couscous was very plain and the plate was cold enough to where I could not enjoy my dinner. Just took 3 bites and left it. My husbands steak was the size of my palm, about 3 inches long 1 inch thick, his mashed potatoes were very plain and his plate was also cold. Loved the show, but did have to go get a very late dinner after we left.
Very disappointed! The drinks were great, that was about the only good part of the night. The food was terrible! Every table around us sent their plates back. The rice wasnt cooked for the risotto, the potatoes were raw and hard, the chicken was slimy and none of it was warm. When we asked for the food to be cooked more, the waitress asked what do you want me to do about it? Tell the cooks to finish cooking the food would be a good start....Very sad and disappointing, especially for the price. We left early because it was such a terrible experience. I would not recommend to anyone.
This place thinks very highly of themselves to be charging the amount that they do. Definitely don’t go here for the food. My chicken what burnt on the bottom and not worth $30. It was nothing better than what I could cook myself. As for the entertainment, I had a lot of fun and enjoyed myself. The performers did a great job. Would I called is a burlesque show, no. I’ve been to a few burlesque clubs, this place lacked seduction, it all came down to a lack of direction and timing. Also can you please roll up the screens on the stage you have beautiful mirrors, use them. I’m giving them 2 star rating because I still had fun and I was entertained, but I would call this a “burlesque” for first timers.
The Boom Boom Room is a must visit for any trip to St. Louis. My wife and I were in town for two days and attending the 7:30 pm show on Friday December 13, 2019 to celebrate her birthday. It was a surprise for her. The Boom Boom Room was running the Holiday celebration show. The show:The cast of the Boom Boom Room genuinely love what they do and it shows on stage. They are passionate and care about the art of Burlesque. The host Lady Manhattan was very engaging with the crowd and instilled a sense of celebration, rowdiness and laughter into the show. The cast consisted of one male and 5 or 6 females that put on a show that was tastefully risque, engaging and funny. The holiday music started before the show and carried all the way through the show. It is hard to pick one favorite act because they were all amazing. The show included everything fire eating performances to acrobatic circus style performance. This is a must see!The drinks:We ordered the Boom Boom Punch fish bowl for $30. The menu says it drinks 4 but it really could drink 6. It was absolutely delicious! The drink prices are more than fair and reasonable. The food:I can understand why some of the reviews may not speak positive about the food. The food is good. It is roughly about $24 a plate and if I was just eating at a fine dining restaurant and was served just good food at $24 a plate I would be disappointed. Though I was not at a fine dining restaurant I was at a dinner and a burlesque show. So the good food and price is definitely worth it and should not deter anyone from this show.Overall amazing show and a must see.
Took my wife for her birthday last night. The show and food was awesome loved every bit of it. But as for the service it was absolutely horrible. We purchased VIP tickets but didn’t get treated like VIP from the server. She literally never came back to check on us or anything. We had to flag her down to get drinks. When you purchase VIP it’s suppose to come with shots but we never got them until we asked at the end of the show about them. The server said I didn’t realize you was VIP and all the shots are gone. We literally sat at the front of the stage with a table marker that said VIP.All in all very good show and good just bad service.
The show was absolutely amazing.. and everyone was really nice.. however it is quite small sitting area and felt like everyone was on top of eacherother. The food was terrible. We were warned b4 we went and by other customers sitting at the table next to us that the food was not appetizing. Personally it makes it hard to want to go back because of the price of food to be that bad. However all the the workers we super sweet and talented.
The show was absolutely fantastic! And, the food was also really good. But, in total, this place fell really short and it was disappointing. We bought VIP tickets and we didn’t really feel like VIPs. We were sat at this small cocktail table right next to a huge pole and you couldn’t even see the whole stage. We did buy tickets kind of late, but if you don’t have any good seats left…just state the VIP tickets were sold out. All the other VIP tables were bigger, seemed like they just squeezed us in wherever they could find room. I would have much rather been on the balcony than have a pole blocking my view. Also, our waitress was absolutely horrible. She walked by our table multiple times and never asked if we needed anything. We had to go up to the bar to get drinks each time we wanted something. We also had to ask for our shots that came with the VIP package because when they handed them out, they completely missed our table. I had to go up to the bar for that and then the waitress comes up to me while I’m standing at the bar to finally ask if we need anything. And when the waitress brought our shots, she asked us if we wanted another round of drinks and we said yes. Instead of another round of drinks, she brings the bill. It wasn’t the right bill, shocker. So, I go up to her and tell her what we had. She then brings another bill that’s even higher and still isn’t the right bill. We finally got the right bill after multiple attempts. I was so excited to go back since I’ve been to the original location multiple times. But, this experience just totally fell short. If I go back, it will be for a show only.
I have been here once, and I was very unimpressed by everything-except for the amazing performers. It’s disheartening to hear but my friend used to work here and said it was a horribly toxic workplace as well as an environment which enables abusive management practices. This is no longer a place where I will spend any money because the treatment the dancers receive is unethical and degrading. I would encourage anyone else to steer away and spend their money elsewhere in solidarity with the dancers. Food was atrocious and served cold/lukewarm. Drinks were very skimpy on the alcohol and very watered down. One of my friends got really sick from eating the food here as well (meat wasn’t cooked all the way through).
Awesome!!! Great place. After reading reviews, I was EXTREMELY nervous on going there. But the dancers were amazing, the food was SOOOOO good, and it was all around a great time! Very fun. A bit pricey, but the food and entertainment was awesome. Our show/time there ending up being around 2.5 hours so it was a great time spent! The waitress was spot on! We had a party of 8 and service was quick and done very well! Our waitress took good care of us!
Fun place with good entertainment, but dinner was not as advertised. The menu on the STL Boom Boom Room website shows chicken stuffed with bacon and housemade spinach and artichoke dip, covered with mozzarella, served with tomato infused couscous. Instead, my meal was two small mediocre pounded flat breaded chicken breasts served with mashed potatoes. For $30 I would have made a different choice for dinner. Disappointing meal but a fun show.
SPECTACULAR!!! We had a group of 10 for the Saturday evening dinner show. We were celebrating a bachelorette. The food was amazing, 4 courses and each was better than the last. The drinks were strong and their interaction with the guest celebrating a special occasion had you laughing out loud. The dancers all seemed to have fun and were beautiful. We can’t say enough and will tell all our friends. We will definitely be back!
An amazing experience!! Our group had so much fun last night at the Star Wars show. Drinks and show were great! Excellent performers and servers all around, definitely recommend visiting here for a show.
Come for the show, skip the food. The burlesque performances are worth the $30 price tag. The food is extremely overpriced for the quality and exceptionally bland, enough so that it took away from my ability to enjoy the performers as I was too busy fuming over the fact that I paid over $100 for two entrees an appetizer n a drink. The $36 New York Strip was the worst steak I have ever had, beating out Ponderosa. It very overcooked, dry, and bland. No hint that any marinade or seasoning touched it at any point, much less salt & pepper. The sides of potatoes and green beans were equally bland. I thought maybe I got a bad dish, and looked across from me to see my friend who ordered the same, look visibly disgusted at his dish. My neighbor to my left let me sample her stuffed chicken which did have some flavor but was nothing to write home about and the broccoli really looked like it was store bought bagged and microwaved. I noted that as the servers began clearing plates from tables, most of the entrees and salad were only partially consumed. The desserts seemed to be a delight, but I wasnt about to risk finding out. Seriously, the meals made Applebees seem gourmet by comparison. All in all, go for the show, but Id recommend skipping the dinner show as you are required to order an entree at prices that are no where reflective of the quality you would expect for the amount being paid. The performers were entertaining and talented, the staff was courteous and attentive.
Yo, I hit up the Boom Boom Room with my bros for a night out and it was off the chain! The show was fire. And the food, let me tell you, it was some of the best grub Ive had in a minute. There was a lot of diversity. People from all walks of life. Everyone was so cool and chill.
The show was good! Some of the group choreography was off but I sat on the side so it might have been more noticeable to me and every group has off days so it’s really a very minor thing for me to nitpick. The food was really mediocre at best. We went for the Valentine’s Day dinner and they ran out of soup we ordered so we both had to have the salad which was delicious and very well put together but small. I got the chicken parm and the chicken was well seasoned and cooked but the sauce and noodles were very bland so it took away from how good the chicken was. My fiancée got the steak and they severely over cooked it at least for us medium rare type of people but the chimmichurri sauce is something I’d pay to be able to recreate at home! The mashed potatoes and green beans on the side were both bland as well but not bad. For desert the lava cake and tiramisu were very decadent but the strawberries they added on the side were frozen not fresh. The show is well worth the ticket price but the dinner needs some work!
I went to the Friday show and it was awesome! Super fun, pretty good food and a great atmosphere. Definitely a good place to visit if youre in the St. Lois area. Also, I was very impressed by the service and just how talented everyone was from the comedy of the madam to the dancers everyone really engaged well with the audience. With VIP our group also took pictures with the dancers after the show.
The show and the dinner were fantastic. We were there for Saturday night steak. The girls are lovely and talented entertainers. Very high quality. However, the wait staff was extremely inept. Our waitress seemed to be on some mind altering drug. When one of our party complained, they said she was in a car accident the night before and was taking pain medication. I’m no manager, but I do question their decision making. It really brought the night down a notch. Such a great place and a $40 a plate meal (with a drink) should be matched with the same caliber service.
Fun show and environment! Drinks were pretty good!
The staff are so incredibly friendly and the show is wildly entertaining. Had an absolute blast!
Whet for a bachelorette party fun atmosphere and I will say we were all confused and thought our dinner was included in our ticket price but it turned out it wasn’t and then when I found out how much everything was I will say that the food is overpriced. Food was Lack of flavor and the steaks were way over done. Staff very nice but just think the pricing doesn’t match the quality expected.
Went to the Saturday dinner show with my boyfriend for his birthday. The show was amazing, someone did acrobatics and fire spinning and it was so cool to watch and I would love to go back; but just for the show. Im giving 2 stars because 3/4 of the dinner courses were disgusting. The salad did not have enough dressing or toppings, my piece of pork belly was all fat and inedible, and the bread pudding (chefs dessert choice) was dry and burned. The meal was way too expensive to be that nasty. The 3rd course (beef short ribs green beans, and mashed potatoes) was pretty good and I would have felt better about the price if the meal would have been a bigger portion of just that. I really wish the 7pm shows came with the option of skipping the dinner, because I would go back all the time if that were the case and I dont stay up late enough for the later shows or I would go to those. It really was an amazing show and $20 (I think thats the price of just the show) is a great price for that but that dinner was $36 per person and barely edible and just not worth it.
This experience was a complete waste of money. The food was way over priced for how mediocre it was. It was supposed to be an “all you can eat brunch” but there was about a 20 minute window to eat before they curtained off the food area to start the show. When we got there nothing was ready and there was ONE waitress there serving multiple tables with big parties. The performance was mediocre as well with simplistic choreography that was not synchronized and seemed poorly rehearsed. It seemed like the performers just did this on the weekends for fun. Not a serious or professional business in my opinion. However, the night life could be better since I went to a brunch performance. Either way, I definitely will not be giving this atablishment anymore of my money.
New Years Eve - staff always wonderful but not completely on their game. Drink orders forgotten and lost while dinner service skipped our table when delivering champagne. Note - when a server is used to carry the dinner service, please take care of their tables. Many tables were left without service during the dinner courses and other servers did not step in to help. Still one of the best places to be on New Years and we are looking forward to their continued success.
This place was amazing and SO much fun. The girls were beautiful and high energy and the dragon dance ABSOLUTELY blew my mind. The chicken marsala was delicious, dessert was confusing as parts of it were warm but other parts were cold but im not going to complain about it we bought VIP tickets and could of brought our own in. I do wish the salad dressing was a little more specific on the website as Im highly allergic to what seemed like one of the main ingredients but the server and kitchen staff were extremely prompt at replacing it with one I could eat. My fiance and I dont drink, and there was never pressure from staff to do so personally. Mrs Manhatten of course wanted everyone to drink I wanted them too as well! So it was nice as I was slightly worried we would of been called out. Overall it was an AMAZING experience. I can say we definitely will be back, thank you for making our engagement party so much fun!
Worst food Ive ever had. They wouldnt split the check for our table, waitress was rude. Drinks were good. Show was good. However I will not support this establishment anymore due to the poor treatment of their performers and unprofessional management.
Fun place to visit. Laughed alot ! No need to arrive by 6:15 like stated when you purchase tickets. They never started seating till 6:50....show started at 8:00. Food was excellent but, cold. Large portion of salmon. Very good.Drinks pricy but, alachol wise you only need one or two.
Last night was fun. The show was great! I was disappointed in the sitting. I understand businesses are hurting. But its still Covid and by there website I thought was following the 6 feet a part rule. It was so packed! We were litterly sitting on top of each other. I was so disappointed I would of never gone. And the food was absolutely horrible! The Risoto was not even al dente it was hard and dry, the steak was soooo dry it was not edible. We had to leave there to get food.
Purchased VIP tickets for my daughters bachelorette party, this was our 1st time going here....AMAZING!!! Dancers and staff was awesome...my heels were hurting my feet and they gave me a pair of socks lol. Did I mention this place is AMAZING!!!! Great drinks...i recommend the fish bowl and tower ( the green one) They nailed the Halloween show
The show was amazing and the bartender was always on top. Watch what you order online. VIP package is a RIP off! Received nothing it advertised but an acknowledgment that it was purchased on stage!!! Food was not food listed on menu but it was very tasty.........I would like to thank the Boom Boom Room for reaching out to solve the above situation. They were very understanding and extremely nice! We are planning our next trip back. 😈
I went to the Saturday (2-22-20)show with my boyfriend. We just wanted to see the show. I hate that there was a requirement to eat what they give you and pay for it.... We paid $24 per person then an additional $33 with 6 drinks purchased. Theyhad a mixed salad with no toppings but cranberry and wallnuts. No other greens mixed in... Their were no other dressing options we had to take what was given. For the next meal option they had a pork dish. We do not eat pork and was informed that we had to pay an extra $10 on our bill for the substitution. Which was wrong to do 1st time supporters... We did not eat the chicken they bought out because it was burnt. We ask for a new dish and was rejected to get new chicken bought out. Then the meal came with was informed it would be beef ribs but it was dried out roast beef... Im happy Gordan Ramsey didnt walk in that night. I want to know who was the cook that night. Every item including the desert was terrible. We were informed that we will get a discount on our bill due to the meals poorly made and was I formed they were only taking off the $10 they charged us for the chicken option. We are never returning again and will speak the word... You dont treat people poorly that came to support your establishment. It was wrong.
I arrived with my date at 10 pm and was asked to leave. Arrived back at 10:24 pm to stand outdoors in the cold with other patrons. Once inside waited over an hour just to get one drink order. The show was already in progress when I had to get a servers attention. Waited even longer for my drink. Not enough servers and the bartender was slow and needs replaced. I actually watched two men walk in, walk up to the end of the bar, and served drinks while I patiently waited over an hour. I enjoyed the show. I did not quite understand why an open dance floor after the show without offering a bar. i felt like there was lack of help and disorganized.
What an Amazing Experience. We did the Sunday Brunch show for a Birthday and it was fantastic. Our group was invited on stage to perform, the food was to die for and We totally reccomend the unlimited Mimosas/Bloody Marys. We will for sure return!
The atmosphere is great, all the employees were super friendly and it was all around a good time. It is a smaller little place and everyone is kind of close but I think thats what makes it so fun. The food was amazing, the show was great. We will definitely be back!
Omg! This place was Way more fun than I was expecting! Emilia was So nice when she greeted and sat us! Even caught up with us at the end when we got our pasties and flask! Ivory Haze was the best performance Ive ever seen! The T ravs were incredible! So huge! (Thats what she said, lol) Great lights and music! Going back soon!
We had such a great time at Brunch. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food at brunch was great. Plenty ofnit. Tasted great. Our waitress came back many times.Im telling you ignore the negative reviews. Give this place a chance. It was so much fun.
Last Saturday was such a wonderful experience. From the uniquely skilled and individually beautiful women to the delightfully filling 4 course tasting menu; I really cant tell you that there is any comparison. The ingredients that were paired in each dish were absolutely fantastic and hands down the best Ive had in a very long time. Thank you to all of the amazing staff and spectacular chef for an absolutely perfect anniversary.
I planned to celebrate my birthday today with a few family members & friends. We purchased tickets a couple of weeks ago. Well we received an email a few hours before the show time, stating the show was canceled due to a previous water main break. They said they were still cleaning the area. Well it would’ve been nice to know when the water main broke that there would be a possibility of a cancellation. Now I’m trying to figure out an alternative at the Very last minute. I was really looking forward to the show. I do appreciate they did give a refund. Just pretty disappointed in the very short notice. Am I willing to try visiting again? Probably not, by reading some reviews it seems this last minute notice isn’t anything new.
Ownership is trash. Hopefully, the talented staff will find somewhere else that appreciates their skills!
Very intimate space but such Great time! Lots of sexy scenes and the host was hilarious!!! My friends and I will be going back. Only thing I did not like was that it took awhile for the drinks to arrive however it is a bring your own bottle for $15. So next time Ill just do that other than this had an amazing time!!!
We were coming here to review our experience today at the Boom Boom Room when we saw the review below from Hope Dooling and Leon White, a couple who were also at the show. We have to dispute their review, as it was completely off base. We were at the same show and had a completely different experience. It was obvious the dancers were professionally trained, and well reherased. The doctor act was hit with our friends, as was the tribute to Carmen Miranda. We could tell both performers have years of dance training. The fire performer was outstanding with a Mary Poppins act complete with massive fire umbrella that also takes the kind of skill that requires years of training and rehearsal. As far as the buffet goes, it was open the entire show. I cant take seriously a review from a couple in their 20s who couldnt figure out how to walk across the room to get more food. I think it was nice of the owners to apologize but they have nothing to apologize about. Keep up the good work, Boom Boom Room. We will definitely be back!
The girls did a good job but you pay for 2 hours and only get an hour and 15 min. Plus you pay extra for VIP and get a plastic fedora that fits a childs head and a dollar tree worthy boa. Its a fun time and somewhat entertaining but extremely over priced.Im well aware of the pricing and that was my point...$8/per person extra for vip is extreme because its a plastic fedora child size and a feather string that shouldnt be allowed to be called a boa. Other than that Id say everything else was good. I would come back for sure just not waste money on vip package.
Made a reservation for a birthday party. I was told someone would reach out to me to confirm the reservation. 4 days pass so I call to confirm. I was told that the May 19th show had been canceled. So was someone going to notify me?! With only a few days before my husbands birthday I now have to find another restaurant. Horrible service and consideration for possible patrons. I was really looking forward to a great experience but I am now completely turned off from ever trying to go here again!
It was our first time coming here and I was completely blown away! Literally THE BEST show I have ever seen! The costumes the routines and ofcourse the MC were AMAZING from start to finish! Im telling ALL my friends and we WILL be back!
Really unique place. Runs a good show. They all have great energy. They use the crowd to their advantage. I didnt eat anything so I dunno shut about the food. The drinks were alright and not expensive. Its a good place to have an evening
We had a great time. The drinks were good and the show was fantastic! The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Next time we’ll eat at Rosalita’s next door and go to the late show where we don’t have to buy dinner.
An amazing and exciting show. Very talented performers who bring it! The atmosphere was so fun, Lady A was a great host. We will be back!
Was told about this place while it was still up the street. Got invited to go. I must say that I liked it. Was asked what what I wanted and obviously choose the steak. It was tasty though it did not come medium like I would have preferred. But it did not matter, as I was distracted by what was going on...Pasties!
A group of friends and I went there this past weekend for my birthday and I cant express how much fun we had! The drinks were great and strong not watered down at all. The staff was so friendly the waitress bought me a shot for my birthday, they even danced with us. Everyone who worked there went out of their way to make my day special. I am planning on returning in the near future!!! THANK YOU BOOM BOOM ROOM FOR A GREAT BIRTHDAY!
Step out of our comfort zone last Sat and so glad that we did, great customer service from the time we walk in the door, the waiter/waiters took drink orders right away. Its a small intimidate, fun, lets have a great time kinda place! Very entertaining & a good place to do some Adulting.*on a personal note to the Lady at the Booty table on the end, I sincerely hope that at some you take the stick out of your butt & learn to smile more; not EVERYTHING is stupid, gross or vulgar.
The atmosphere was good. However, the food wasnt very good. My wifes chicken was bland and dry. The salad was boring. The drinks were pretty good.
This place is very spacious. The food is very good and the drinks are amazing. The staff is very professional and caring to your needs. This is a good place to go to if your having a girls night out or bachelorette party or birthday. The pricing is reasonable and the show will leave you wanting more.
Amazing time! We came in from out of town to visit family and wanted to try something different. Everyone we went with LOVED it! Food was delicious and the drinks were legitimate. This is coming from an ex-bartender. It is something out of the ordinary which did make me nervous but I would go back in a heartbeat! Lots of laughter and fun! :)
Loved this place. A little small with BIG lights, funfilled with dirty dancing, twirling with fire. The food was great3oz Sirloin steak with mashers, steamed carrots and green beans, a spinach with carasins and pecans and to top off the night a slice of cheesecake with fruit. I didnt like the fake smoke. It reminded me of the solution used for my nebulizer machine.
I dont think its the same after firing Ivanna Tension. Its like theres no more life now
Horrible time. If you get VIP they do not give you everything you were suppose to be given. We were suppose to have unlimited drinks and the bartender barley came to our table and we paid 60$ for VIP each. It was our friends birthday and they singled her out and didn’t help celebrate her birthday. Very unprofessional staff. The manager was rude and didn’t care about making sure we had a good time. I would not recommend this place.
I give credit where its due and this situation was corrected fairly quickly...I have been here several times and this is the first time I was so displeased. The waitress just REALLY disappointed me, Im the designated driver and I told her this and Im VIP, I get unlimited drinks, but apparently soda isnt included in that, but she offered to mix alcohol with my soda so it would be included.Ive always been given free soda when I was a designated driver, even when I wasnt VIP.And offering to put alcohol in the soda of the designated driver... Profoundly repulsive.
The show is so much fun!! Dinner is a get what they serve you situation and a tad underwhelming Especially for the price. But they are cooking for the masses so... Back to the show. So. Much. Fun. Im wanting to brunch soon.
Got here promptly at 6pm. Had questions about the $25/all you can drink special. Too bad our server brought us one drink and over an hour later...we haven’t had him check back on us once. Contemplating leaving before the show and dinner. And it is unbearably HOT in here.
Went to the dinner show tonight with my wife. It was the first time we went to see a burlesque show. Had a wonderful time. Everyone was friendly and funny. Ready to visit again and want to find a show closer to home. Thank you Boom Boom Room for a wonderful evening.
My wife and I went to a dinner show at the Boom Boom Room. All I can sy is WOW!!!! We had a fantastic time and the staff was GREAT. We will be back again. Well done and a great show. Would recommend this for anyone. Thank you again for a great evening Boom Boom Room.
Good time, great show. What else can I say?
Top notch, excellent show, definitely would recommend it. The place needs asap a new server, or at least to have second server, he was overwhelmed, serving the whole room. Hopefuly service will improve very soon, other than that, 10 SPECTUALAR SHOW.
Im interested in going, but I wish there were more options in the dinner menu, and was culturally friendly. For instance, I do not eat beef or pork. Also I wish there was a menu of items listed for brunch, otherwise the select few items they mention is not enough variety for me.
It was my first time at a Burlesque Show with my significant other, and it was not a disappointment. We had a great time, and enjoy the food and the entertainers. We will definitely be going back.
This place is awesome, good drinks. Awesome performances. If they lowered the volume of the music by 10% it would be flawless.
Jeez that MC is fantastic and so is everyone else!
We really enjoyed the show!!! The food was surpringly really really good. Pricey, but worth it when you think about how inexpensive the show ticket was. It did get frustrating because the show didnt start until about 8 even though it says start time is around 7:30. Lots of energy and excitement. It was just the right amount of spice without making me uncomfortable or like I was out of place . We would definitely come back!!!
Had so much fun here, me and my wife had a blast! The girls were beautiful and had a little after party! Highly recommend...we were here for a birthday party and I want my Birthday party here next time.
Just overall great people and environment. Stay respectful!!
Had a great date night here, will agree with others that the food was lacking and bland, to me it was still a five star night. This is a unique venue and a must do in St. Louis!
A BEAUTIFUL little venue with great food, drinks and some of the best entertainment in St. Louis! Burlesque girls, fire performers, aerialists, singers, hot male entertainment and the greatest emcee you could hope for! Treat yourself and family and friends to something fun and different that shows off St.Louiss sultry history!
Had a fantastic time!! Great food, great service, great drinks and the entertainment was beyond what I had expected!! Loved the crowd interactions! This is what burlesque is about!! Definitely going to make this a usual in my outing rotation! Thanks, Boom Boom Room!
Great unique experience. A must do when in town. Perfect for bachelorette parties, birthdays, and date night. The girls are lovely and the emcee is fun. The production quality is great. Its the perfect intimate place.
Went there on Friday night for my anniversary. Great service great food and entertainment! The ladies and ryan where amazing! The bartender and the server as well! Ill be going back for my birthday in January! Cant wait
The show was decent. It was a fun enough experience for the price of the ticket... The food on the other hand was dispicable. Hardly even edible. Do not pay for it.
We traveled 2 hours to come see a show on Nov 8 2019. It was absolutely amazing and worth it. From the food, drinks and the entertainment. A great place and atmosphere.
Cast and crew of #BBRSTL you know how to put on a show. First stop on our company Holiday event, exquisite food and drinks, Fire, Energy and all that Boom Boom!!! Thanks so much for hosting our caregivers!
I had a great time celebrating my party 🎉 All my girls 💃 enjoyed themselves and the show was a lot of fun 🎭
If I could give this place a ZERO rating I would..... The service at this place was horrible. We were left to stand outside for 25 minutes until the doors were opened. The waitress was rude from the time we got there and even walked away saying profanities and calling us names. Our seating was the WORST. And I was absolutely disappointed with thus establishment and how they handle business. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone until they change the staff.
What an amazing night! From the bartenders, to the dancers, to the MC absolutely spectacular! Thank you to the Boom Boom Room for making my friend’s 40th even more memorable.
Was amazing spot to celebrate a birthday 🎂
Great show! Such an awesome experience! We all enjoyed the show. Will definently be back!
I always enjoyed the shows until I found out about the mistreatment the performers endured while working there. Literally modern day slavery.
Im not one for fancy entertainment, but the Boom Boom Room definitely changed my mind. Ill definitely be coming back for more. Five stars for sure! #boomboomroom #burlesquesupperclub
New menu, New chef, if you went before and complained about the food give this place another chance, food is outstanding, beef skewers, chicken spiedini, and crab cakes were amazing!
Surprisingly intimate venue. Excellent entertainment. You can almost feel the 20s roaring back. Listen closely to the swing music, you might recognize some classics.
First time at a Burlesque Show. Had a blast. Food was good and show was great. 10/10. Planning on returning in the future.
The best show Ive been to in I cant even remember! Everyone was having a blast!!! I highly recommend visiting whenever you can!
Phenomenal! Absolutely amazing! Every act I couldnt imagine how they could top it, and then they did!
Absolutely Amazing!!! Fantastic service and unbelievably entertaining...exceeded all expectations and then some!! The food was fantastic as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a totally unique and phenomenal experience!!!
We had such a great time!!! Everyone was so great, and the doorman was so full of energy. Loved them all!!
The food was excellent, The madam was funny as could be and the show was great. I would recommend this show to anyone.
Tiger and the management staff are amazing!! Thank you all so very much! Wow what an amazing show!!!
Me and my cousin went she paid to get in and food all I was supposed to pay for was the drinks spent over 300 dollars for drinks there is No way we drank that much as of this review they tried to get 49.99$ more and Im in Florida
I had a lot of fun. We went there first our anniversary. Definitely a different experience
Myself and 6 other ladies visited for a male burlesque show for a bachelorette party! It was very nice! THAT IS ALL😂
Absolutely amazing!! Great food, fantastic show! Cant wait to go back!
Had so much fun here my bachelor/ bachelorette night. I will definitely come back for another show.
This is a fantastic new addition to downtown St Louis. Great food, great service and top notch entertainment - highly recommend!
Great Show! Must see. Beautiful and handsome dancers.
Gross and overpriced food, watered down and overpriced drinks, and creepy owner who thinks women exist to serve him and make him money
We did the Sunday brunch. Great food and a great time, definitely worth checking out!
What a great show. So many talented artists. We will be back!
Cancels shows a few hours before Showtime when everyone was all dressed and ready to go.
This is a get what you pay for kinda establishment, 15 dollar tickets get you a 15 dollar show. The only problem is they overcharge for everything else
Great entertainment. Husband and wife team who run this venue are super cool.
Great - food, drinks, atmosphere, and entertainment. I had a fantastic time!!
Interesting show but the food needs a lot of work, very bland.
It was the time of my life. The fifty shades dancers was amazing !!!
The drinks were awful but the entertainment was fun !
Went for entertainment. Guys were good - guess they didnt have more variable selection?
If you want your cheap food served by an old perv with bad hair plugs who thinks hes still 25 , this is the place to go.
Amazing atmosphere and talented performers! So much fun!!
We was there last night and we had a great time. We will be back.
We had so much fun for my birthday!
What a wonderful time we had
The best date night experience in StL!
LOVE the owners, the food, the ambience and the performances!
Great show, but food is overpriced.
