J Js Clubhouse & Bar

This is one of those gay bars that has a certain charm to it. During the week it’s like a local dive bar. On the weekends it turns into this super busy hang out spot for anyone and everyone in STL! The club can hold over 1000 people when an event is in town. This place is best for the Bears and Leather community but also helps your average joe become accustomed to the community! This place rocks and I would suggest it to anyone.

Wrapped up my birthday night here with a few friends, mixed genders and preferences. We were all treated with big smiles from the bartenders! They kept the water coming for our designated driver and the bombs coming for us.The dance floor was empty when we arrived (around 11 on a Sat night) but shortly after we started dancing, the floor filled up with a very considerate and fun crowd.DJ was phenomenal and the mixes stayed fresh!Love love love the lights show!

Had a blast here while on Christmas Vacation. We ordered our first drink at 9:30 and were two of about 15 guys in the place. We wandered down the hall and to our surprise found the large dance floor and another bar. It filled up about an hour later and the guys were all very friendly. It was by far our favorite bar in St. Louis.

Guys should really check out Thursday nights. I was there this past Thursday and in the back bar was a group of guys in leather gear. They were very friendly and seemed to be having a good time. A few of the guys will offer demonstrations about different areas of the leather scene. The bartender on Thursdays is really fun to talk to and he supplies the music list....very different. Thursdays are not too crowded but lots of fun!!

Friendly bartender, I went on my 21st birthday (a Sunday night) it was pretty chill that night. Not much going on but I look forward to going back every once in a while. The drinks were priced fairly, and the restrooms were pretty clean. I want to check it out on a busy night anytime recommendations? I want to come back with an updated review! 😂

Enjoyed J Js very much while visiting St. Louis. The classic leather bar vibe reigns here while still being open and welcoming to less leather-focused patrons.Typical leather bar in the front and in back, a dance club space with a funky layout.The bartenders were friendly, the patrons were welcoming, and the drinks were cheap. Definitely check this one out!

Not pleased with my experience! First time there and they were discriminating against straight women. Took forever to get a drink! Didnt approve how they kicked a guy out of the bar. He wasnt violent yet they were kicking at him and slapping at him it was ridiculous I want impressed definitely wont be back with my gay friends I was disappointed! Rehab and just johns is not rude against straight girls!

I stopped on in at this club that my friend, Rich, works in and was pleasantly surprised. Me, being a transgendered woman and knowing nothing about the Bear scene at all. I didnt know what to expect. To my surprise? I found the most kind, inviting and charming men. I thought that I might not be welcome but it was completely the opposite. I was made to feel not only welcome but secure in the company of all these awesome and gentle guys. I want to express my appreciation to my friend Rich who works here and has all these guys that seem more like family than bar patrons. There is something very special about this bar and the people who come here.Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and I will never forget my time with you.Christine

Open most holidays!! Clean place, but no food. Billiards, dancing, a few game machines, free popcorn( for patrons). Easy going atmosphere, if you look good, the guys will certainly let you know. Lol , to all, this is a bear bar. Bartender Billy was awesome. Decent spot.

GREAT PLACE! 1st years Cub friendly 😉😋😁Came here August 2017 first time for Mr. Heartland Bear which was great for a first time visit! Met great men alike and didnt feel unwelcomed.Came here on a date, came here just to hang out, came here for my 23rd birthday and just had so much fun! Cant wait to come back again!

JJS has gone downhill some. The parking lot in front of the building is small. At most 10-13 vehicles. When thats full you have to park across Market Street under the Highway 64/40 bridge or the small street that goes under and around the bridge some. Theres karaoke, DJ on the weekend, large variety of mixed drinks and much more. I dont know what they have inside now as I dont go there anymore.

JJ’s is an awesome venue! My experiences are always Five Star and they really know how to take care of their patrons! Richard is the best!! If you’re new in town or simply visiting make sure you put them on your “To Do List”You won’t regret it

This place isnt fun anymore. I also find it amazing that they dont allow vaping inside the building yet allow fog machines which contain the same liquid, Propylene glycol. Whats the difference? Also, the bartender that i was dealing with REFUSED to make me a fruity drink which was very rude. Time to pick a new bar, this place isnt customer friendly anymore.

I love this bar. Stop in every time I am in the area. Can get very crowded at the end of the night. But the prices are always good. Bartenders are fast and good. Good music too.

A group of us were planning going to the clubhouse after checking out the stl fest to have some drinks and play some games but someone screamed from the front door that this isn’t public parking and will be towed so we will not be visiting jjs clubhouse. Maybe you should of checked with us before assuming our intentions.

Describe my experience..lolLet me prewarn any out-of-towners before you do what I did and stumble upon a pretty much mens only bar.To be fair, the bar seemed pretty chill and laid back. Wish they were more welcoming to women, but hey.. I can spend my money elsewhere.Still gonna give ya 4 stars though.

A fun night out with the best dance floor in the area. I ran into some rather rude patrons, but that is no fault of the bar. Just our community.

Has everything you need. Friendly and clean. Pool table and darts. Video games and TouchTunes

Cheap drinks, friendly bartenders, pool table, and awesome dance music on the weekends. Its refreshing to find a gay bar/club with unpretentious patrons.

Glass embedded in my finger from cheap glasses. A fight on the dance floor and people had to break it up without security. Three drunks passed out and no assist. from the staff. The only response was from the door guy... I hate drunksJ and J should really look into this.

Great gay bar, friendly staff, great dance floor on Fri and Sat nights, relatively cheap drinks with additional drink specials for happy hour and various nights of the week.

Great atmosphere. Option to stay inside in the quieter area and shoot pill or head out to the clubhouse for Lloyd music and dancing

Great for a late night drink. Its supposed to be a Leather Bar. More like medium quality vinyl.
