Im obsessed with The Grands spa! My daughter had cbd infused massages. The next day I had a Diamond facial and eye contour. I recommend all of it. I love the products I purchased. Everything was perfection from the eucalyptus steam room, sauna, 360 showers. Id give the services we had done over 5 stars if I could! Two days of relaxation at The Spa! Glorious! Decorated beautifully. The Spa is an excellent addition to Grand America! We always leave refreshed, have eaten well at Laurel, and love our stays here!
Beautiful superior cuts, other services ... so my son & I go afterwards to go use the majestic outdoor pool. The spa has its own 4 story elevatored Services, within the hotel with its own hot tub and indoor pool. The access is also easy access to the Grand Hotels outdoor pool with good/excellent food and beverage table service, hot tub and even a baby pool... all at the most convenient temperatures....towels, covered areas.Waiting room & relaxing room has excellent engaging catering staff at the highest levels - tea and granola/raisins nice history/photography/ art/ books ...While Im here, Id also highly recommend while in SanDiego their 1970 Sister Hotel, The Westgate, also marvelous... AquaVia spa connected to their historic hotel.
Beautiful spa. I would give 5 stars but I was disappointed to not get the crème brûlée with the my couples massage. I don’t know if they changed from that, but we still received amazing macaroons. This visit I wasn’t super impressed with my therapist. It felt more fluffy than therapeutic, but the amenities were gorgeous and well kept. I was also bummed because our therapists told us the spa closed at 6, so I was rushing to get my things together and then I found out the spa closed at 7 when I was checking out.
I booked this for my wife and I as part of a date day and it was amazing! I highly recommend getting there a minimum of an hour before your massage and staying a bit after. They have the full hydrotherapy spread over three floors. You can go from the steam room to the 16 head shower to the sauna and finish with the hot tub and pool on the fourth floor. They have relaxing lounging areas that you can enjoy crystal infused water and light healthy snacks.
Just had a custom tissue massage at ‘The Grand Spa’. After 25 hour travel time from the other side of the planet, my shoulders and neck were killing. Figured a visit to the hotels spa could fix me up. Here Scott took me on a journey through the best massage I have ever had; and that’s in the hundreds. Thank you, Scott, for making me able to enjoy the rest of my stay without a constant reminder of awkward seating positions on economy class!
I am extremely impressed with every aspect of the Grand Spa! Starting off with their management, very friendly and create a good atmosphere when you walk in. Next is their staff, Domingo is world class at maintaining the best spa in SLC, and very accommodating. I enjoy the amenities so much I took advantage of their membership, highly recommend.
My sisters and I came last minute because our Cliff Spa appointments had to be cancelled due to avalanche warning! We were assisted with good help over phone and when we came in. The facials we got were very relaxing! My sisters did the microcurrent while I had the custom facial. I wish their steam room was larger and didn’t have an odd smell when the steam was off. Also, the robes are thick which isn’t meant to be worn in steam room and sauna. It had a slight smell too. Other than that, relaxing time!!
So after I had a negative experience for the first time ever, Tony absolutely went above and beyond to make it right. I came back for a 30 minute quick fix and Susan went above and beyond. Best massage ever. Thank you Grand Spa, you’re so fantastic.
Love the Grand America Spa! I come here regularly with my girlfriends. It’s so fun to get a massage hang out in the spa or by the pool. The service is always excellent and the surroundings beautiful!
I am only giving this a 3 because of the last service we had which was a pedicure. The spa is wonderful, the body wrap we had were wonderful, but the pedicure was anything but grand. It lasted 30 minutes tops. No massage. No hot towels. Not much of anything really but a polish change and a salt scrub. It was not a $100 plus pedicure. One of our providers was in the hugest rush and did a bad job on the polish and rushed off for a hair cut. It was definitely the worst pedicure we had ever had. Then to go check out for $900 it was just the wrong way to end the service. I would recommend everything except that. It really was that disappointing. Seriously no massage at all.
My spa experience was the best! I had an amazing massage from Ana Sophia - it was perfection from start to finish!!! I highly recommend asking for her and I cannot wait to go back... :)
Not a bad massage but average. For the price I would expect more. I was asked if there was any particular areas I wanted worked on. I said upper back and calves, the therapist barely touched my calves.
The Grand Spa at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City is renowned for its excellence, offering a wide range of rejuvenating treatments in a calming escape within the city. It is the only spa in the area to have been awarded the Forbes Five-Star certification, reflecting its commitment to providing exceptional services. With extended hours, a variety of services including massages and facials, and special packages for couples and locals, The Grand Spa is a premier destination for relaxation and wellness.
Mere seconds after being given our lockers, in walked a man with makeup on who stood right next to my friend’s locker. All the women just froze because no one felt safe to change anymore. He then excused himself into the private changing area before stopping back at the locker and exiting the women’s locker room. I fully support equal rights for everyone, but if you’re going to allow all sexes in the locker rooms, at least give us a forewarning and don’t say it’s a women’s locker room/area. Make me sign a waiver so I can acknowledge that you allow women AND men in the women’s locker room. If you’re trying to be inclusive, make me aware first and let me have a choice to privacy. I don’t recall anywhere on the waiver I signed notifying me there wasn’t a separation in changing areas, even though throughout the spa there is signage and even different floors for the “men’s” and “women’s” lounge/locker rooms. Earlier this year, I was unknowingly recorded by a man in what I thought was a women’s fitting room, so when I was about to undress in a women’s locker room, it was rather jolting to suddenly see a man standing right next to us.The massage was top notch, but the other experience to start the day was upsetting and concerning. Please create a safe space for everyone and be forthcoming with your policies.
The Grand Spa goes above and beyond to achieve their guest’s satisfaction. I’m especially impressed with how management remedied an unexpected situation that was at no one’s fault. They are also responsive to feedback (just read the reviews) and dedicated to making things right. I applaud their integrity and the spa experience The Grand Spa offers.
I was taken here as a treat, and boy, was it!!!! My massage therapist was amazing! I wish I could remember her name! She asked if I had problem areas and then worked them while still being so great with her flow! She even incorporated scalp massage into my whole session, which was great! The signature sent was perfect, as was the sauna. Hope to come back again!
We had an amazing time here! Prices for services are much higher than others Ive been to, but they really offer next-level services and experiences! The staff is so polite, friendly, and attentive. The serene spaces are beautiful and help you feel even more relaxed. Would love to come back again, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
I’m a local but if were to stay at this hotel, the spa, and the massages from Sophia would be my #1 reason. The aesthetic atmosphere at the spa is stunning in every way. And the customer service all around is 10/10. Management is top notch. But please know that Sophia’s massage skills are on another level. And she’s a genuinely kind person. I highly recommend her if you want an ultimate self care experience.
My wife and I spent the afternoon at the spa. We each received massages and were very happy with both of the people that treated us and everyone at the spa. Nancy and Jolene both were fantastic! Easily the best massage experience I have had. The facility is flawless. We will be back.
Darlene, my esthetician, was AMAZING. She was so nice and pleasant and personable and fun...and her skin is incredible. My husband and I got the express facials and they were great. Lindy did his, and he was very pleased with his first facial. Gorgeous spa with a nice indoor pool and hot tub. Highly recommend.
Big fans hear of the Grand Spa. It’s a lovely indulgence. The environment is tranquil and the staff are overwhelmingly friendly without being obtrusive. The massage therapists are excellent. They listen to your needs and put you at ease. Brooke is especially skilled and a delight to work with. The Men’s facilities are great. The steam room is committed to sweating you out in no time. The 17 head shower is ridiculous in the very best way. Highly recommend the Grand Spa.
Ive been to this spa three times (have never stayed the night at the hotel) and it is truly an incredibly special place. They think of all the tiny details. Here are a few of my favorite and less favorite things.-Incredible Massage. Ive had a different massage therapist each time and they were all amazing but Id have to say Sofia is my favorite. Before coming here I had only ever gone to small massage places and Im not sure why but the difference in quality was pretty astounding. I think its to do with how relaxing of an environment it is and how well-trained they are. I got the two-hour massage last time and it was unreal and worth every penny.-Sauna. I really like the sauna before a massage to get the muscles heated up and start relaxing. Get there 30 minutes early to unwind and try out the sauna. Its awesome.-Steam Room. This one is great for some post-massage chilling and the weird smell people talk about in other reviews is eucalyptus and I really like it!-Mens-only relaxation area. They have this place with comfortable lounge chairs that I like to sit on after a massage and have a snack. I dont know if they always have the same snacks, but I hope they dont change them. They have granny smith apples, granola bars, dried fruit, and hot tea that you can make yourself. Its all super yummy and I just love it. They do have an area where you can hang out with ladies if youre with one but I really appreciate having a dudes-only space. They have two tvs that are usually on ESPN. The TVs are always muted and easy to ignore.-Amazing showers. I always bring a clean change of clothes to get into after I shower so that way I feel fresh. The showers are great and one has like 50 heads and its a cool experience. I always end my shower by turning them all on cold so its like an ice bath and that feels awesome.-Spacious lockers. The lockers are great and the locker room never feels crowded. The most Ive ever seen is like four dudes in there at once.-Awesome Staff. Customer service is always great and theres always someone to walk you to your locker after you check in. It just feels like they really care about your experience and that you get situated.-Amenities everywhere. They have ice water in the locker room and room temp water in the relaxation area. Lotions, mouthwash, hand soap, actual towels to dry your hands, hair dryers, and they give you a personal razor, shave cream, and a comb. The robes feel amazing even if they are huge on me. Luxurious towels everywhere. Im sure Im missing things but thats a pretty good list. Here are a couple of things that I think they could improve/I didnt love.--The Pool/Hot Tub. It is shared with the rest of the hotel. This isnt a huge deal for me but the first time I went, the pool was packed with people and was noisy which threw off the whole zen thing for me. Not complaining but I never go to the pool or hot tub anymore because I think of the spa as my escape time. Im sure its not always like that though.--Tight Slippers. I think they recently changed their slippers and I liked the old ones more. These new ones were tight on my feet so I didnt like walking around in them. Next time Ill ask if they still have the old ones or a larger size or something.--Massage Upsells. I dont love that two of the three massages have started with a pitch to upsell for CBD oil or something. I dont like having to say no and would rather not have to make another decision. I think a pretty good solution to this would be to put a brochure in my locker with the CBD oil info on it and the price to upgrade. I dont know or care what CBD oil does and dont want to waste my precious massage minutes going over the pros and cons of different oils. However, I am in marketing and totally understand that upselling is key. So, I think a postcard or something would have convinced me to upgrade while being surprised with it put me on the defense and I instinctively said no.On the whole though, still 10/10. Already made an appointment to go back in two months.
Brought a wedding party yesterday. One of my bridesmaids was treated very poorly by the staff, despite repeatedly going the extra mile for me as the bride. After a $1000+ spend for my party, I would have hoped Grand Spa would want to retain our business. Can’t recommend.
My robe had a used bandaid with blood in it! The message was a joke! Very disappointed with the Grand Spa this time around. Good thing is that they offer 20% off for these experiences.
My boyfriend and I randomly grabbed a couples massage while we were in town skiing. They gave us a tour and showed us around to the womens area and mens area. In the Womens area they had a eucalyptus steam room and sauna with a salt cave like wall. Our couples massage was the best massage ever. First they showed us how to use the 17 or 18 head shower that we could use for 15 minutes prior. We got the CBD massage and it really helped us relax even deeper. The therapists really paid attention to problem areas and we’re super attentive. I wish I remembered their names. We were given amazing hotel made macaroons. In the waiting area they had lots of yummy snacks, tea, and fruit which was really nice. The only complaint I have is that the pool/hot tub area is available to hotel guests and when we went there were screaming kids and it wasn’t very relaxing. The hot tub wasn’t very warm either. For the amount of money we paid-If they had separate hot tub, or cold plunge area (or both) we would give a 5 star. We are going to make this an annual trip but hopefully they’ll figure something out about hot tubs/pool
The spa was quiet and serene and a good place to relax. The relaxation room where we waited for our massages was very peaceful but although water and tea were listed, none were available. We finally had to go ask someone for water. My massage was excellent and relaxing. I added on the scalp massage with oil and trust me it was worth it. Sadly, after massages we were told that there was no food available to order in but when we checked a second time about an hour later we were told we could have ordered room service before 2pm and by then it was 2:10, that was disappointing since we had asked the same person earlier and were told no. We used the pool which was beautiful but couldnt order drinks at the pool, bummer. Overall it was a good experience and Id definitely go back.
Massage was excellent. Salt sauna and huge shower are lovely. Facilities are a little cramped - the relaxation waiting areas are small and get crowded easily. Other patrons will talk loudly, especially if there is a large group. It would be nice if there was a group room where they could visit freely, or a completely silent room set aside.
My husband and I scheduled a couples massage and we were not disappointed! Scott was my massage therapist and before he started we talked about my style and what I would prefer. He was literally spot on with my requests and was very professional. If I lived closer I would try to see him regularly! My muscles are rejuvenated. The atmosphere was very relaxing and tranquil and the couples room was very nice as well. Definitely on the expensive side. Probably a once in a lifetime experience as far as expense goes. If you want to have a wonderful and relaxing couple of hours with your partner, or even alone, you will not regret spending the money! Bonus! All the scents they use are so nice and not over-bearing.
You will never regret getting a massage from Scott. Never. Ever.
Hands down the best spa in the state. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and every masseuse is amazing. I have never had a bad experience here and I highly recommend this spa for a day of pampering.
The spa was nice and clean. The 17 head shower was really cool! The couples massage was ok- super expensive for what they were. The reason I am giving a 2 star review is because my card was charged 3 times for the service and I was told to “dispute it with your bank”. So just a PSA, look at your bank/ card statements because this seems shady and they do not seem like they want to help resolve this at all. The service was definitely not worth the $2,400 they charged my card.
My sister, mom and I splurged for a relaxing day at the spa and super glad we did. The staff was amazing from the front desk attendants to the girls in the locker rooms to the masseuses, and the overall atmosphere was just superb for a spa. I had never had a facial before, so I picked the express facial! It is the perfect starter facial and I loved it! Cant wait to book a longer Facial. My facialist was Shelly and she was super attentive and walked me through the process since it was my first one. My face felt AMAZING! After the Facial I had a wonderful massage from Katherine. After the treatments, we went to sit by the pool, which is just a little oasis in the city. You have no idea you are right downtown in the city. The staff at the pool were so friendly and attentive as well. Recommend trying some of the drinks and small plates. Treat yourself to Grand Spa Day you wont be disappointed.
I was not looking forward to my trip to Salt Lake City, so I decided to treat myself & my husband to a massage & haircuts at the Spa. The Grand Spa turned my begrudging trip for family obligations into a romantic weekend get-away and an enjoyable experience I cant praise enough:Things had been so chaotic with the pandemic it was VERY last minute I made the appointments, but Hannah was so helpful in recommending a time that worked for us (and even had a great suggestion of spreading out our appointments over the weekend so we could come in again for a nice steam & swim). COVID protocols were A+ (without ruining the experience - a hard balance), our hair cuts looked great, and service providers were so welcoming it just melted all my stress away. As for the service, at the mere mention of how my husband liked a particular hair product after our cuts, Todd went up to the salon and gave us containers of the product to use for the wedding we were attending the next day! Above and beyond, and as I told the manager Richard, who checked in on how we enjoyed our experience, I would happily recommend the Grand Spa to anyone.Note: Super LGBT+ friendly
I love this spa. My fiancé always takes me here for a spa day on my birthday. I love everything about it. We have done the couples massage and facial. They do such a fantastic job. I also love the indoor pool. It’s worth every penny in my opinion.
My mother and I needed some serious R&R and decided to go to the Grand Spa. We both got 60 min massages and were thrilled with our experience. Our therapists Shaun and Jennive were amazing, we highly recommended them both! After massages we were able to relax in the common area drinking tea and eating light snacks, we both fell asleep on the couch bundled up in blankets. It was very relaxing with a great atmosphere. Following our relaxation we decided to do the sauna and then the experience shower(18 head shower, you need to do this!). It was great being able to take our time, no rush from any of their team, they simply took care of our every need.
Got a quick fix massage because, lets be honest, the palace is pricey. It was worth it, though! There is a lounge with tea and snacks, there is a sauna and a steam room, you get access to the pool and jacuzzi, they have a 7 shower head shower (turn the knobs all the way around for it to get warm haha), and they have hair stations with blow dryers, curling irons, combs, and hairspray. So, I recommend either coming early to use the amenities or stay after your massage or what have you. My massage was at 3 and we stayed until 6 doing everything. It was fun and relaxing! My gal pal and I loved it!If youre female and choose a male to massage you, youll have to go through the male locker rooms, as the massage tables are separated by gender. Female massage staff are in the female locker room, male staff are in male locker room.If you come as a couple, there is a common room lounge for you two to be together as well as a couples massage room. If you do the sauna and steam rooms however, those are separated in the locker rooms.Lastly, when youre done and checking out back in the lobby, they will validate your parking.
I booked a massage after reading the reviews while I was in town. The massage was subpar, the staff was unfriendly, and I’ll definitely be booking somewhere else next time I’m in town. You’d think with the rates they charge, they’d provide 5 star service, disappointed that’s for sure.
Seriously the massage I received today was not a Forbes massage, very fast and not impressive or relaxing at all. It was my first time there, I left with the the will to go another place to relax. Okay
O.M.G. I LOVE this spa! I actually schedule business trips here intentionally just to go to the spa!!! When coworkers are going out on the town Im in the spa for hours, only take a break for a light lunch or nap 😊The decor and the atmosphere is impeccable. The amenities are numerous and out of this world. The 17-head shower is a must, like a luxurious body car wash.Staff are top notch. Products are enticing and reasonably priced for a high end spa. Please bring back the eucalyptus in the steam room though. Pro tip: try a sample or bring your own of any kind of essential oil or hair or face masks, its even encouraged, for use in sauna, steam room etc.The co-ed Tea lounge is cozy!! Light snacks and tea, music, and interactive mesmerizing zen accessories.
The spa in general is fantastic but my haircut and beard trim was horrible.Ive had better service in half the time and half the price at Sports Clips. I came in to the spa having a wonderful time in an incredibly relaxing environment until it was time for my haircut. I sit down and see the stylist was not confident in knowing terms that are very popular in mens style like a high fade up to the part line. So first of all, I didnt get the style I asked for. The entire time I was slapped to get hair off my face and head instead of using a brush like at Fantastic Sams which costs less than the cash tip I gave not wanting to embarrass the stylist that treated my wifes hair wonderfully. Before this, we were called DINKs (double income no kids) which is not her business and insensitive to a couple if they were having trouble conceiving. There was no use of a straight razor at a 5 star spa, which Ive never been to a basic barber that doesnt do that. The hot towel treatment included a massage that strangely focused on my ears and covered my mouth and nose over a joke about dentists to my wife which she was laughing at because she was watching something so comical. We go to dinner and I come back to see I have a cut in my forehead. I cant imagine where that came from.
Its such a beautiful and Awesome experience. Made me feel like I was away on vacation in Europe or something. The staff were Amazing. It is pricy and recommend spending a whole day there to get the best out of what you are paying. You have access to the pools, sauna, steam room etc. The private areas for each gender was super as of it were a hotel room in itself. Absolutely recommend it and my husband and I will be going back when we can afford it lol.
Ive been going to the Grand Spa for a couple of years. Its always been great but the staff has really improved! The younger woman that greeted me and showed me around was eloquent, and helpful. The woman that did my pedicure was very thorough and even got me snacks while my feet were moisturizing. Also, I love their callous remover as well- its the best Ive encountered in spas across the US.
Unfortunately this time I was very disappointed. In the steam room there was a big spider. My massage therapist either was texting (she would use one hand and just slightly push in an area for quite some time) or high/falling asleep. I was on my back and she was using both hands but hardly rubbing at all and would just stay in one place. It was almost as if she would wake up and then she would start actually start rubbing. The wooden rugs were so wet under them I slipped and pulled a leg muscle as I stopped form falling downWhen I told the girl at the front desk all of this she just said oh Im sure the spired wasnt relaxing. Im sorry that was your experienceUNIMPRESSED...ITS GOING DOWN HILL
Superb spa experience! Excellent to get spoiled in downtown SLC, all day hotel parking validation included and unlimited same day use of the spa facility. The couples massage was also excellent. Super friendly staff, highly recommended!
As Little America hotel guests from the UK we were very impressed by the professional and comfortable experience from start to finish! We were greeted and even personally escorted in the elevator to and from treatment area to pool. I had a male masseuse who was very respectful and also listened to and attended to my back pain- further recommending ways in which to help my condition from home. My daughter had a facial whereby the technician actually listened to her description of skin type and helped with her skin breakout. Wish I’d made a note of staff names to thank you personally!
I had a gift card to The Grand Spa so I had my hair cut and colored today. The spa/salon is so beautiful and the employees are all so nice. I felt immediately pampered. Natasha did an AMAZING job and shes so easy to talk to. I had a tri-color weave and she took the time to make sure every strand was properly colored and blended. I have very fine hair so color can damage it tremendously but my hair feels soft, the colors blend and I couldnt be happier! I have found my new salon. Its really not much more expensive than a higher end salon and WELL worth the money. As an added bonus, you have the opportunity to use the spa amenities for the day. Thank you!
Amazing spa! Everything I could have wanted in a relaxing day spa. It was so nice to be able to spend half the day there unplugged and relaxing. My massage was incredible as well! Highly recommend!
This was a super fun experience for me and my girlfriends! There was a bit of a rough start but Tony cleared everything up and made it right. The staff was super friendly, the Pedicure was relaxing and all the tools used were sanitary and clean. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub! Would highly recommend!
We had a three year over due mother/daughters spa day with massages, facials and manipedies. For the most part we felt pampered and enjoyed all services. There was a pretty ugly glitch that happened though. I had booked the services three weeks in advance, and specifically asked for all female practitioners. The daughter, whose birthday we were celebrating, was the last to get picked up by her masseuse.. and it was a male. She nervously followed him to the mens floor, into the mens lockerroom and finally the treatment room. When the masseuse came in she apologized and said she was uncomfortable with having a Male masseuse. A confusing scramble happened...the front gal insisted that I didnt specify all felmales... I absolutely did as I always do, then told my daughter it would still cost 50% without any service, when she asked if she could swap out services, the gal said no, then finally arranged a 25 minute massage, I think for full price. I was furious at the way she handled it with my daughter and went to the main desk. There were 2 gentlemen there who listened to my plight and asked if they could book her a different day but we had flown from Texas and couldnt. First they said they would comp her massage, which was kind (but expected) and asked if they could make it right and I said I didnt know how since we were flying out. Then they offered to comp all of our massages. COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED and very generous. They couldnt do more to fix the problem, so I was grateful and we left happy. We will do it again someday. Thank you to the two gentlemen and the female needs some lessons on customer service.
The staff and service was absolutely lovely. I got a pedicure and my only complaint was that I did not get a very thorough massage. Would definitely return to try other services though.
Not sure why the pedicure was so expensive they didnt really do anything special and caused some pain. The staff was very kind though! If youre going to spend money at the spa Id say for sure go for the massage or facial, those are awesome. You can get nail services for half the price with more bells and whistles nearby outside of the hotel.
For my husbands birthday we went and had the couples massage. We had access to all of the spa amenities for the entire day so we went about an hour early and enjoyed the beautiful indoor pool and hot tub as well as their steam room and sauna. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. When we were taken to the couples room there were chocolates made by their pastry chef and a raspberry elixir waiting for us. We were given about 10 minutes to enjoy that before our massage. It was sooo romantic and the massages were one of the best we have ever had, which is saying alot because my mom was an incredible massage therapist for 20 years so I grew up with the best. It was relaxing and luxurious and we felt very comfortable the entire time. Our experience was amazing and we will go back for another special occasion in a heart beat! Thank you!
This was a really fun and relaxing experience. I highly recommend the couples massages. It was even romantic and at the end we enjoyed the pool at the hotel for a little while.
Worth every excessive penny spent on this couples experience my husband and I booked. Arrive early to use the facilities. The staff is incredibly welcoming and talented at their craft. Definitely will return when I can stomach the price tags again.
Just 3 stars because my most recent experience (express facial) was very poor. The esthetician did 3 or 4 extractions on me 2 of which were on my nose. Theres always some redness following extractions but its been a week now and my nose feels bruised and I have red swell on the tip of my nose. I spoke to a friend who works at Kura door and she told me the tech was likely to strong with her hands and ruptured or popped it under the skin causing a small infection under the skin.I called The Grand Spa four days after my facial and the first attendant I spoke with told me that she knew who did my facial and she is known to have strong hands but just laughed it off - she told me she would call the tech and see what her recommendation is to help ease the pain, swelling, and redness. I never got a call back. I called again, and a different attendant called me back ~4 hours later letting me know that I can go buy a certain oil to help and next time to go elsewhere and get a laser treatment on my nose to help. This was disappointing client care to say the least. With that said, I find the Grand Spa to have well kept facilities, great massages, top of the line amenities and for the most part, great client service. Client care is lacking. This is a great place to pamper yourself especially if youre local - I think its a hidden gem most dont think about when scheduling some pampering. I will definitely be returning but never again for a facial. I hope my nose starts to clear up but its still in pain and continues to remain discolored. In the future, I think there could be much more done for a concerned client with what looks like and feels like a welt in the center of their face. If you have a facialist that is KNOWN by the staff to be rough/strong with their hands this should be disclosed to the client. If a client patiently and politley calls concerned - you should be bending over backwards to help your client out. Especially at a Forbes rated spa - provide the treatment and/or product to help them, offer a credit/refund, or express concern at the very least.
The valet attendent Indiana was very professional and very welcoming he was able to answer all my questions and was very polite and made me feel important and welcome a great way to start my stay at this amazing hotel thank you so much Indy your amazing!!!
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a relaxing evening out. We called ahead and asked about the day use for the spa. We were not told that the pool and hot tub for the spa were family use. It is a beautiful spa, but not a spa atmosphere. There is a steam room and sauna in the Mens and womens locker rooms but none that are in a common area. As a couples night out we did not have any together time that was relaxing. Expected more from a hotel of this caliber.
So disappointed on the guest relations. I witnessed the girl at the front desk of the spa, mistreat a couple who was leaving after their spa treatments. She loudly barked at them, if they needed to be checked out. When they finally realized she was talking to them, they responded they had already paid for their services. I then accompanied my daughter and friend up to the pool. I went back down to return to my room to get my bathing suit, when I was loudly told I couldn’t leave them alone. I responded they were 16, and she said anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied. I explained I was going to get my suit and she said they would need to get out. I have no problem with the policy. It seems there could have been a better approach to informing me of it. As I sat at the pool, I watched a woman go back and forth from the hot tub to pool and swim with her flip flops on. Is there a policy in place for that? Very disappointed!
Relaxing, sophisticated spa with most of the elements youd find in a high-end day spa. The layout is a bit confusing, and the relaxation areas are very brightly lit for their purpose. However, the eucalyptus mint in the steam room was spectacular, and my mom and I each had fantastic massages. As someone who has written luxury spa SOPs, I could tell theyre following a set very effectively.
The remodel is amazing, updated and clean design. The amenities available to you as a guest here are unparalleled to what youll find anywhere else in Salt Lake, from the sauna, experience showers, indoor pool, food options, etc, the list just goes on. Highly recommend Justine for her amazing facials, but anyone you get will be great, the staff really is the best of the best.
I cant speak for the massages and whatnot. My mom and I went to get the Grand Spa Manicure/Pedicure combo. While the facilities were positively dreamy (!), the mani/pedi was not great. The people who did the manicures and pedicures were very nice, but there was little-to-no massage. That is supposed to be the best part!!! And I have had much better paint jobs at walk in salons. My mom and I were staying at the hotel for my bridal shower, so we thought wed make a day of it with our manis/pedis, but for that price, we shouldve gone to a walk in salon nearby. This cost 5x what it would have cost anywhere else and the quality of work was subpar.
My aunts and I came to this spa for massages. One of them got a prenatal massage and said it was incredible, best in the state. We all enjoyed the ambience and every staff member was professional and kind.
I come here multiple times a year when I’m visiting! It is one of the best spas in Utah and they have amazing facilities! Don’t forget to check out the 17 head shower.
Have never had a hair experience this bad, even when I was younger and would go to junior stylists. With it being my first time, I decided to splurge and go to one of the best salons I could think of. I went in with medium/dark brow virgin hair (had never colored it before) and wanted to add some grey to change it up. I showed her the photo I was aiming for and very clearly explained I wanted to be medium/dark brown with hints of silver. Natasha shared she had been doing hair for 13 years so I trusted her, WRONG!! The bleach was left in my hair for way too long, and when she toned it there wasnt even any brown?? I was just blonde! The bleach damaged my hair horribly, whenever I brush it chunks fall out now. I cried after all this but decided since I paid so much money, I would go back to get it fixed 3 days later. Wrong again because she still didnt fix it, I was still blonde and now I had orange in my hair too. I finally, 3 weeks after religiously rubbing oils and conditioning masques in my hair daily, I went to Studio h2O Salon in a desperate attempt to fix it but because I looked horrendous. Because there were already so many colors in my hair, they had to tone it red and then go back dark. They said in time (2-4 months) I can get to this ashy brown I wanted but theyre still undoing the damage this salon caused. Worst $250 I have ever spent.(I included some photos of my hair for reference, the one in the angel costume was original hair, I was going for the ashy brown, and ended up with the blonde photo). Do not recommend this hair studio at all.
Just amazing! The service is always top notch, the facilities are wonderful and the massages are excellent. They have incredible heated massage tables. And we love their indoor pool!
The best spa in Salt Lake City, hands down! The experience shower is to die for and all the attendants are thoughtful, professional and kind.
Love this place! Wish I could afford to come more often, but definitely worth the annual treat.
Beautiful facilities and I had an incredible massage by the very talented Bella. Make sure to request Bella when you visit Grand America spa!
Great service and the staff is very professional.
The honey lotion and the 17-head shower are amazing. Great staff and management.
Couples massage, fun experience and the therapists are all so good! Been three times with my husband and never disappointed.
Beautiful spa! Great massage and the whole experience was perfect!
This was an awesome way to cap off a week of hiking/camping in Utah.
Never been, but it’s probably amazing. 5/5
Best massage yet.
It is pricy, but fancy. Worth the price if one wishes to treat herself
QuietLess people than Korea town spaVery relaxing environment
Was the best massage Ive gotten in the past 3 yrs.
Expensive, but 1st class experience.
Pricey, but the best spa experience in Utah
Terribly overpriced. Unreasonable. There should be a locals discount or for those staying at the hotel.
Visited the pool in the spa area with our family and had a great time.

Absolutely wonderful!!
Love the experience
Awesome place
Perfection
Excellent service, very pleasant atmosphere and the massages really give us total relaxation, it was a surprise gift from my son for my 50th birthday, the reservation was for the two of us to be together on that special day, as a mother with her son! The only serious observation when booking to participate was that we should wear a swimsuit to enjoy the pool, since that is why we could not enjoy that beautiful pool! By the way, I dont speak English and a lady named Petra was very kind to give me a tour of the facilities!
