The venue is a typical concert hall. Beer, Booze, music and energy! Just saw The lords of Acid play and the sound was great! Bar staff was pretty cool,,,A few of their staff members have a macho man complex and should learn how to chill or maybe just get laid and stop being D!@&$!!🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️💯(edit: Beware the bartenders. I had 1 who added to his tip and I was only able to find out after I checked my bank account! )
Went here the other night for a reggae concert, The Expendables. Concert was good - really enjoyed the bands. However, drinks were seriously overpriced! $24 for two Modelo Especial tallboys. If I had known they were that much I wouldnt have purchased any drinks. Parking, across the street was $20. That was a lot too, but the venue is in a kind of sketchy area so I paid it to have my car parked in a more secure location. Dont know that I would go to this venue again for a show at those prices.
This is my first time to this venue and my best friend and I came to 2 shows here within a week of each other. The DOK show was the first time. They had security at the door and burgers on the deck 😻 idk if roots kitchen is there all the time but they are worth tracking down! Yummy jalapeno cream cheese burger. Also, great atmosphere, plenty of space, and a parking lot right across from the doors 20$ same as the text to pay down the road. Second show was even better in a hidden part of the venue. This felt special and the VIP OTEP experience was incredible. The sound in this place left me without hearing 🤣 thats what I live for🤘 The set up was cute with all the art, and the bartender was a very cool dude we met at the BBQ shop down the road beforehand so we felt super welcome going to the bar and seeing his face! He even took an on the fly cocktail request 🤣 thanks yall for a great vibe ✨
This was a pretty good venue! The layout was a bit weird but made enough sense to do what was most important! I felt it was mostly well ventilated and the fans running at full speed were a blessing when the middle of the event came around! The security and staff were very professional and efficient! I obviously wish there were more basic amenities available such as free water but thats a bit more on the wishful thinking side of things.
Dont trust these snakes here. I bought one drink there for 12 dollars. They without my permission refunded my purchase and then charged me 216 dollars and then refused to refund me my money. I wish I could give them no stars. Dont give your money to thieves.
Upon arrival at the Rock Box. The staff was very friendly they spoke to you like a human should calm and explained how to get into the venue and their process. This a very cool place and everything was awesome. I will most definitely be back when another band that I like stops here. Keep up the great work Rock Box staff!!!
The parking was expensive! The beer was expensive! The bands were great! We saw a band called Victim-Blame, they were very very good and had a lot of crowd participation!!! Great guitarist!! Dont know who he is, but he did a really good job!! Rock on my dude! They have a show at the Vibe at the end of this month. I think the 28th. The vibe is next-door definitely going to see them again!!
Well, it kinda goes without saying. This is one of the only venues that hold concerts for most bands in San Antonio. I have to admit the outside staff is rather rude. A lot of 5 give a gate open time and make you wait over 30 more minutes in the sun, heat, rain, and cold. They dont care when they can just let the paying customers in. It just happened to us on Saturday. The only other downside is they charge like 14$ a beer or something like that, its crazy might as well get a mix drink. Another thing I never understood about this place is that you cant bring vapes or cigarettes in. You can take them to the back and smoke them after you are let in... makes no sense. They renovated some recently, so I guess thats a plus.
Yes, parking is overpriced... Drinks are overpriced... typical of enjoying a concert. However, the music sounded great, and the bands played with hardcore energy... but this is a rating for the venue, not the bands.1. Red Shirt Security at the door was professional when it came to pat downs and tickets. I didnt feel like I was getting manhandled by a C.O. They have a list of rules at the door relating to bags, I.D.s, age restrictions, etc. So, no excuses.2. Bartenders were quick serving drinks and had the best personalities. They take I.D.s seriously and dont over sell alcohol. I saw a couple of stumbling drunks get cut off quickly and without hesitation. Good for the bartenders! Responsible and professional.3. Black Shirt Barricade Security are some senile old men looking like they came from the retirement home or pulled out the gutter of some 80s timeframe with s#!tty attitudes. Fake tough guys playing bouncers because they lack significance. The crowd started getting wild, as it does at any metal show, and these cranky old men yelled to calm down. If youre scared, take yourself to bed, grandpa. 3 of these guys are doing pilates mid-show for a bad back and could barely help the crowd surfers get down. The bands had to constantly acknowledge them to keep them awake all night.4. Exiting the venue was swift and easy. After the show is over, get to the merchandise stands or get out. Red Shirt Security was still attentive and helping injured people through the crowd.5. Stayed late to get a couple of drinks next door, and when I came out to my car, it was safely where I left it. However, nobody was attending the parking lot anymore. It was not the best environment because the lot was already polluted with graffiti and pretty dark. Take your chances, I guess.I might return for another show depending on whether or not the band plays at a nearby city because this Vibes Center fails the Vibes Check with crowd security.
Staff was friendly and helpful, but the building itself is not great. The different halls are uneven with each other and no signs on wall or markings on the ground to indicate that you need to step up/down, making a tripping hazard. The lower level has exposed holes in the wall that we saw rats crawl in and out of. The bathrooms had rat droppings in them, and half of the stall doors didnt close properly or even have locks or hand soap.
Be careful when using your credit card and keep your receipt. Bartender added an extra $100 tip to my tab and Rockbox wont return emails or calls.
Staff seemed friendly and organized, the security was also good for safety concerns. The set up was nice and thank god for the giant fan in the venue, ppl even took their kids, so pretty safe. Would definitely go back.Since the venue isnt huge finding parking is pretty easy, theres lots under the overpass for $5 or free in other surrounding areas.
This venue runs very strictly. They pat you down and search you at the entrance. If you have anything fun on you, they make you get rid of it. If they catch you inside smoking anything, they kick you out. I did appreciate the security who managed the mosh pit, but was it necessary? One of the bands selling shirts up and left without telling the people waiting in line for 30 mins. It wasnt bad but wasnt the best either
What an amazing experience. 5 stars is too low. Bobby and the security team were amazing. Saw me coming with a cane and my current health condition and they got me in, got me too a designated area, and got us out with no issues. Those guys were amazing. Thank you Rock Box and the security team!
Great show last night! But heads up to all the stoners, DO NOT TRY to smoke WEED INSIDE this venue. They are tight on security!! Butttt other than that great drinks from the bar, great sound, and patio area for cigarette smokers. Also they took my pepper spray away from me and told me to pick it up after the show but I forgot to 😔
Hear me out. Get some fan misters or big industrial fans for the big side of the venue. this place is HAWT. I never once left a show drenched as bad as I was.
$20 parking, $12 beers. Wear comfy shoes. No where to sit except maybe 10 seats and super far from stage. My back hurts today from standing for hours last night on the concrete.Weird layout. Restrooms were disgusting and smelled horrible. Not friendly staff. Good security.
Sick bartenders who made us whatever drink they had ingredients for. Dont fauny them for not having something obscure yall. They made us the best experience possible.
Only went for the Twilight event and honestly it was very nice. The person at the front door was super friendly and inside was super spacious so the vendors had ample space.
Went to see Hush for the first time and enjoyed it! Will definitely be going back! Like that there were plenty of bathrooms and very clean.
Went to go see the ginger Billy. The only downside that was constantly talked about in the area that I was sitting was that we paid for VIP and ended up five rows back. Really clean venue really nice employees first time there even though Ive been in San Antonio for a really long time but it looks like it was a pretty good night club maybe. The only thing was that seating issue everything else was great!
We went for an “emo night” old school rock and metal music from early 2000s, the venue was fine and music was nice but it almost cost 100$ just to walk in for a “concert” with no live performers.Drinks were extremely expensive as well almost 15$ for a tall boy lone star. I also didn’t like the fact that if you do vape you can’t bring it in, but they are fine with you smoking cigarettes. It’s an obvious money grab, if prices were reasonable I wouldn’t mind going back, but it just seemed like everybody was blaming someone else when I asked about pricing.
Nice venue! I genuinely love this place. Male bartender is so sweet, provided water and is overall so considerate. Female bartender was really rude for no reason! I tried to be polite but she brushed me off, such a mood killer. I don’t recommend her if you’re getting a drink, she’s just there for the money.
Really cool spot! Very clean. Awesome location! Not too much traffic around.
Upon my first visit here, I ultimately came to the conclusion that this venue is pretty adequate for any type of show. I was there to see the legendary GORGUTS. Their set was great; they never perform poorly. The sound was good, the beer was surprisingly affordable ($6 for a Shiner) compared to other venues, and the venue had some good space. The only downside is that the venue, or the promoter, gave the incorrect set time for Gorguts and I walked in almost 10 minutes late. That is not cool. They need to stick to the set times.
This girl was rude she was upfront checking everyone in talking down to everyone especially me, shouting, and when she aske do you have anything in your pockets I showed her and said No she aggressively grabbed and twisted my body without my permission may i add. I dont mind the pat down but you do not grab people its called assault!!! Anyways she should be told something, othe than that I had a good time .
Always clean and feel safe going to events here! Security is constantly walking around, checking on people, and they check all bags and pockets before you can even enter the venue!
Great place to catch live music. Enjoy it every time I am there.
Came here to see the band DIIV on a Monday night, youd think on such a low demanding night drinks would be somewhat cheap… Beer is 12 dollars… Any Wells are 8. Outrageously expensive considering most venues dont charge more than 10 dollars for a beer, they have the audacity to charge 12.Parking? Also expensive, 20 dollars with cash or cash app, your choice of how to get ripped off. Either get ripped off or park a few blocks away where there is metered parking or along a sidewalk.Overall, the place works for shows, but the staff were also really on edge, which I guess makes sense due to keeping the environment safe and all. Just dont expect to be greeted with a smile is all, lol.Dont intend to come here again unless a band I enjoy performs here, but I hope for the good of my own wallet they dont haha.
Hidded safe and definitely gets the job done , owner is totally cool ....
I enjoyed the events. I literally dont know anything else about normal operations
Not worth going the drinks are way overpriced as well and the parking was overpriced too it was 25$
I was expecting it to be kinda cube-like, but it was more rectangle-y. And it could use some more chairs. A pretty fair share of us metalheads are getting pretty old and the concrete floors, while awesome, are kinda hard on the knees.
Amazing! The sound was a bit steely but, it was well laid out, and spacious. 2 full bars and a small drink station at the back. Large restrooms near entrance and on opposite end both were decent and not disgusting like most venues. Smoking area outside. Plus not sure if this was typical but there was a good truck right outside as well. The only thing I thought was upsetting, was 20 dollar parking? But again, I dont know if thats typical either. But over all very cool place, great experience, and most importantly friendly staff!
Nice venue! Full bar, spacious open standing area, didnt get too hot even in 105° weather. I think its the vibes event center as well?
This is a very nice venue very close to my home. My sisters and I went to The Rock Box for the celebration of San Antonio aka 210 Day (Friday 2/10/23) to see San Antonios favorite duo Mojoe. The alcoholic drinks were good and there was a food truck outside. I enjoyed the band that played for all the performers and I enjoyed the other singers as well. Especially Greg G The Golden Child aka Go Head Greg!
$25 at the door, cash only, per person and atm charges almost $4 on top of what your bank charges. They stop the music at 12 AM and its difficult to find trash cans inside so some people leave their trash on the floor. The production of the shows and the vibe isnt worth $25 cover, they got some regular led color changing lights for the stage and then a really poorly placed spotlight that blinds you every so often standing too close to the stage. The dj takes requests and says multiple times theyll play it, but they never did even though they did 2 extra songs at the end of midnight. They did have a small cute lil place to take pics set up for the theme night though. Im sure its a great place to go if youre under 21 with no expectations, but as an adult, its not really it.. just a night filled with a bunch of disappointing decisions on the upper staffs part.
The people at the front tried to get my friends and I to throw our vapes away. They said that the policy was on their site but when I looked I couldn’t find anything. We got 3 tickets for emo night for $80 and went to a different bar because it was such a ridiculous policy. What a waste of money. Make sure to put that on the tickets next time.
Great first time at this venue. Good security but still relaxed. Good view and layout. Great sound. Decent parking too. 🤘
Venue is neat, though I recommend getting a ride, the parking around the area is iffy and/or expensive. The venue was a good size, but the drinks were on the pricey side, $8 for well rum and soda and $10 for Bacardi and soda. Over all decent.
Unprofessional employees. Instead of asking my sister to simply throw her vape away, the door woman called her a “stupid bitch” and said none of us can go inside the venue. I’m highly disappointed with this staff, I used to go here all the time.
Will never go back. Worst concert venue I have ever been to.
If you’re new here it can be confusing trying to find the place. The drinks are expensive and the staff are ok. Other than that it’s a decent venue
Very nice staff. My work rented this venue for a private concert and they were all very kind. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Bartender was good and fast. Venue is on the smaller size but more than enough for 100+ people. Limited parking.
Went to one of my very first concerts here and was not disappointed. It gets VERY hot and humid but its almost part of the experience. Staff was very friendly and there is a spot on the floor for everyone to enjoy, whether you like laying back or being up by the stage.
Worst venue ever. Drink selection was extremely lacking options. No rules posted on their website saying ypu cant bring a vape with you. Horrible acoustics. My vape pen is now ruined because they took it and removed my cartridge that has the magnetic piece to make the entire thing work.I will never patronage this venue again. Not even if Davey Suicide is playing there. Stay far away as you can.
Very awesome venue, went to see one of my favorite bands and tickets were insanely cheap. Smaller place which I liked, has a much more personal feel and you dont have to fight for a view of the stage. Bartenders were friendly and drinks were good. Im sure ill be going back to this place again and looking forward to it.
Went to see tdwp here last night and had so much fun!! Easy access to plenty of restrooms, and outside area for smokers & a giant fan that kept the air circulating! The staff was friendly and organized. Would definitely come back!
Really enjoy it here and the price isn’t bad as well as the drinks! 10/10 we will be coming back!
I went here for a Shrek rave and it was nicely executed. The process to get in was very efficient, I dont think we waited in line for more then 10 minutes. As a woman I felt very safe here. I would definitely return!
I paid to have a VIP seating area. There was no one verifying VIP wrist bands, so I had to keep kicking people out of my table. Very frustrating and definitely took away from my experience. The venue itself is spacious and the restrooms were clean but toilet paper was not being refilled. Beer was highly over priced.
I attended a Stranger Things event here. The space is open and I think they used it well to display the various artists fares. Fea performed and they were amazing as usual, although one of the back-up vocalists was a tad louder than the lead singer-tragic, but always a blast to see my favorite locals kill a set.
The acoustics were good. Its spacious but cozy. The drinks were a bit overpriced but I guess thats to be expected at a concert.
Awesome live music venue with great sound system. Long bar with several lines, small seating areas but large standing are for several hundred. Saw Dirty Honey, they put on a great show!
This review based on seeing a comedy show!!! The venue is pretty cool and looks like it would be great to see some live music, but for a standup comedien it was too big. Doesnt have a good feel for a comedy show.
Interesting place for a special event or concert venue.
Fully convinced the front staff blue haired lady straight up steals people’s vapes. For some reason she left early and didn’t tell anyone where she took the vape pens. It’s whatever but she probably does this to everyone who tells her they have a vape. Super scummy venue that likes to treat customers and bands like trash. That’s probably why they’re empty on Saturday nights.
The acoustics were awesome in this venue, as were the sound guys. The show was high energy and lots of fun. There is so much space, its a good show venue for a standing show. Being from ATX, we were looking for a better beer selection, but the bar staff was awesome. We had a little trouble at the door with our pre -purchased tickets, but eventually made it in. It made for a really fun night.
Extremely rude staff..security personnel pushing minors and being a**holes.Stealing vapes from people. Acting like theyre FEDERAL AGENTS when they cant even get a high school diploma 🤣 oh, and the ridiculously overpriced beer!!! Female bartender ignoring people. WTH do these people think they are.
They have great bands that come and play here. Gets really hot and stinky since a bunch of people like to get mixed up in the mosh pit. Just be careful of your surroundings because you never know if you will get mixed up in it unintentionally. Staff is great and fast to react to disturbances. I paid $3 for a flat Diet Coke. Not my go to venue but I’ll only be here if it’s a band I HAVE to see.
Just know they dont let you vape inside haha. Otherwise this place is very nice venue. Very clean, floors are safe just a bit slippery! Drinks are good and bartenders are ways very courteous:)
Great venue; great drinks. Don’t go here if you plan on being hungry during the night. The food is absolutely horrible. They serve Sam’s club freezer burnt French fries and Rico’s nuclear waste queso. I can’t speak about the chicken on the stick because they were out and they were also out of hamburgers. I starved the whole night and consequently got wasted.I’ll definitely be back but I’m sneaking in my own snacks.
Came for a concert for Philip and The Illegals. The place was just right for the event just wished the drinks were good. Beer was slightly chill but not cold enough and the whiskey and coke was mostly coke. Recommendation pre game before hand. Other than that i loved the cleanliness inside and the fans to keep it cool!!! Still had a good time.🤘💋
Great venue, not to small or to large. Sound was amazing and staff was friendly.
Music sounded great but they need their security to beef it up some. They werent keeping the entrance/exit clear of people cause they were too busy watching the show themselves. Before covid they always made sure that isle was clear for people to get out of the music venue into the merch/bar area. In case of an emergency it would be hard to get through to it.
Its a nice venue, but not allowing vapes in at all is a bit ridiculous, especially when I saw multiple people smoking inside and no one doing anything about it. If you try to bring a vape in they make you throw it away.
Clean, friendly, and safe for all. Attended a concert with my daughter. Security was visible and friendly. Crowd of people very nice and respectful
The bartender was a real b. And was very rude, the music was rocking and the staff at the door were very chill but the bartender chic made it in to a bad night She needs to get fired, she was rude to every one. Made every one get a bad vibe some one tried to complain but got ignored
This venue got white macho men who have incestuous relationships in the boonies then show up to the city on playground rules running the joint worst venue in san antonio
The color 8 was one of the best openers Ive seen in a long time and strawberry girls played ALL THE BANGERS. The sound for the most part was excellent alto I dont think the sound guy wanted to hear anyones vocals tonight for some reason. He should re evaluate his job!
This place is adequate at best. Came to see Steel Panther and Stone Sour. Took nearly an hour to get in... They couldnt even handle the 1200 people they sold tickets to. Inside it was impossible to get a drink... They dont have nearly enough bar space. I recommend you skip any show of size here.
They steal your money if you use a card at the bar. I bought 2 waters. My bill was $4 and I tipped the bartender $2 making my total $6. When the payment finally went through I was charged $10. Bartender also made a comment about the vendors selling a bunch of “crap”. Bathrooms were disgusting. Definitely won’t be back.
I bought one beer and that was $6 plus $2 tip and they charged me $15 for something at the rock box .Cool place to watch bands, but not a good place for your credit card. Absolutely ridiculous! Theft . Smh. Pay with CASH ONLY! You’ve been warned .
Even through it wasnt too big the atmosphere with everyone just headbanging made it feel so good. Its decently noticeable from the curb and has easy access in and out. Bar is big and has a good inventory. The interior is well made and the outside looks ok but then again its not suppose to be pretty since its a bar
Got kicked out because we accidentally backed up into a security guard while dancing, he took that personally and grabbed us from the back and did not stop till we got outside. The staff is terrible.
Saw head pe was a great experience
Great little music hall, staff is friendly drinks at the bar are very reasonable for a venue
I’ve visited the rock box before in the past and have never had a problem. Last night was a little different. It was different enough for me to decide I will NEVER spend another penny to support this establishment ever again. And unfortunately this is mostly credited to the bouncers and wait staff. During our time at the rock box on September 19th, we encountered 2 different events of being to “rowdy” for moshing and security did nothing to encourage patrons of the lesser “rowdy ness” to go to the back of the venue where moshing did not occur. Also, when ordering drinks at the bar, prices changed. One time I paid $18 for 3 tequilas which you would think would be equivalent to $6 a shot. But then other times I paid $10 a shot..... same bartender different prices..... this is my opinion, if you want to rock out do not go to the rock box. Do not spend your time or money here.
I have seen cannibal corpse and deicide, both times were great! Drinks are a little overpriced, but overall a great place to enjoy a fun night.
I have gone to the rock box multiple times but tonight Sept 19 I was a rock show and like ALL ROCK SHOWS there was MOSHING which is absolutely acceptable and most of the time encouraged my the band!!! But when there are people up front trying to start fights because the scene around them is too rowdy and security does nothing to defuse the situation is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE, YOUR SORRY EXCUSE FOR A STAFF NEEDS IMPROVEMENT
Staff was awesome like always. Started to rain as we were waiting g on doors they loved everyone up under cover
Great place to play with your band. BEAUTIFUL PLACE. TREMENDOUS HI TECH SOUND SYSTEM.Can be rented out for Concerts to Wedding Receptionist. Talk to Michelle. Shes the owner.YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE THE DRESSING ROOMS FOR THE BAND.HAVE TO SEE TO BELIEVE
HOT HOT HOT, no ac, piss poor lighting, the lights are behind the band so you really cant see them all that well. The only seating they had at the main stage cost $60, who the hell pays $60 for a small table and cheap chairs? The bartenders were very nice and attentive, the bathrooms are a whole other story. The place did have a good sound system, Queensrych sounded great. They also opened the doors and hour late, we stood outside in 95 degree heat for over an hour. I dont think I will ever go back again.
Great big venue for bands. Looks to be mainly for standing room only by the stage. Had about a dozen tables with a few chairs in the back. Mixed drink selection at the bar but I only stuck with beer during this visit
Bathrooms are very nice, place is spacious. Drinks were pretty expensive but it was during a concert so not sure if that made a difference. Good drinks and plenty of bartenders.
It was awesome clean restrooms but need trash can in stalls. For my first time it was a good experienceHad a good time with Saxon concert. Beer was good and the Jack and coke AWESOME DUDE
Watched an excellent metal concert, sounded great. Parking in empty lot across street. Drinks werent over priced. Staff friendly enough.
Saw DragonForce last night. Venue is clean, staff friendly, crowd was quite chill and surprisingly diverse. Sound quality was frankly stellar. AC and fans kept the brutal summer heat at bay. Just remember its SRO unless you spring for vip seating. Well definitely drive in from Austin again.
Always a vibe going here. Park under the bridge if you can. Way cheaper and only a short 5 minute walk to the venue
HOT AF during a concert, but great service. The concert was amazing!!!!? Cant wait to go back!
Nice little venue decent drinks, My Life With The Trill Kill Kult was great..
Awesome show was the best concert and met Scott Stapp he was a genuine person friendly and down to earth..drove from Brownsville for Metallica and luckily made his concert next day also...just awesome and will make his concert in Edinburgh Tx in August
Trash venue. If you want to have your vape stolen By the staff and never return them (even though he said he would at then end of the show) then this is the venue for you. Staff snatched vapes out of the hands of 10+ people and never returned them. Thieves! Bring your property here at your own risk. Dude that took them disappeared, called the staff that was left after the show and said he threw them in the trash. People had $100+ Box mods, just stolen. It’s an outdoor venue btw, so this whole situation is rediculous. I won’t be returning, but clearly the staff doesn’t care about their patrons. Trash thieves!
Great venue, very clean. Great sound quality. Went for Badflower on 03/23/23 and it was a great time.
Great place for shows and markets. We go support the Monsterama Market every last Sunday of the Month! Great finds and great local vendors and artists. Bar and food available
If I could give 0 stars I would!! Made a $15 charge for drinks and automatically closed out after that 1 purchase. Come to find out the bartender added a $40 tip onto my tab!! ALWAYS CARRY CASH WHEN GOING TO THIS PLACE!!!
The rock box is a POS. They are vapenazis, the woman that pat me down was aggressive, and I watched security bullying teenagers jumping around to music. 0/10 would not fx with again or recommend.
If youre into Rock and Metal Music this is the place to hang out! Live bands on the weekends with small cover charge. It has 2 bars, pool tables and darts in this scenic Riverwalk bar. 🤘👍
Awesome rock bar in the middle of downtown San. Antonio. Great layout, could use a few more tall tabletops with barstools. And play a variety of music in between bands instead of just one group the whole break.....Great Metal band venue...
Saw Upon a Burning Body and it was a great show. Our bartender Monica killed it tonight. Only bartender that could run a line. Worth every dollar i tipped!
Always a great time! 2 venues, top San Antonio promoters... awesome sound and enjoy some drinking! Lets rock to every genre of music here! 🤘🤘🎶🎶
They changed their name to The Rock Box recently, and the staff is incredibly nice. Drink prices are cheap, and the music is great. One of the best venues in SA.
This venue Rocks!! My daughters first concert was such a great success! She can’t wait for the next show. Good people, crowd was really rockin too!
Great venue!!! Spacious with friendly staff. Parking was easy to get in and out even with a sold out show.
Great building, wide open spaces and plenty of friendly staff. Went there for a concert to see Stryper and it was great. The location isnt all appealing but once inside you dont even remember where the location is.
It was my first visit to the Rock Box and I had a great time! Excellent small venue, placing almost everyone in attendance in close proximity to the bands.
I love the lady who helped us get a VIP section!! She was so sweet!! Great venue too! Not too big and not too small.
The place is cool. Music and sound are great. BUT: drinks are ridiculously over priced and security is super tight and rude.
It was my daughters first live venue and the turnout and support for her was amazing so I give the place 5 stars for sure!
Pretty much love here every weekend lol. So much fun , clean and security is getting better now with us now!
I have worked for alot of establishments threw out the years but this place is one of the best we are encouraged to allways make sure the costumers is satisfied there is a great team there that is fully capable of maintaining and servicing the capacity and volume of guest that visit the establishment are security staff is very friendly and understanding very rarely do we get a complaint of any kind bartenders are very knowledgeable and very professional you can not go wrong here this place got there stuff together
Went to see Geoff Tate Operation Mindcrime and while I think the venue has possibilities the sound was horrible. Not sure who is responsible for the equipment and set up but you couldn’t hear the vocals from any of the 4 bands. Would be hesitant to see any other bands there until they figure out the acoustics.
Great venue. The bands were awesome, the staff were great! Had tons of fun. Will definitely be back.
Cool venue but i witnessed them mistreating a lot of vendors at an event they hosted.
It was OK. Saw a couple of tribute bands here. Its BYOB but didnt know until we got there. Sound is pretty good.
This is the worst venue Ive ever been to. Awful layout...and NO A/C. Went to the sold out Breaking Benjamin show tonight and people were passing out before the show even started. Then you guys come and start selling people water before the show! Luckily Breaking Benjamin started tossing out water and said they would never play there again.I will NEVER go to this venue again...unless Tool ever plays there....which luckily wont happen.
Nice place to see good music artists not a bad seat in the house had a great time. Cant wait to return
Well worthy of any rockin night. Great venue to check out and band playing.....if you get the chance to go to a concert, do it.
Great venue, good sound system, they bring lots of awesome bands to my city. Thank you very much Pete for originally opening this venue as 210 Kapones.
Great venue. Cant wait for my next event here.
Great venue to go too.
Cool spot.nice venue for shows.up close & personal. Best show with project pat this past weekend.he tore it down.showed San Antone plenty love.beers reasonable price.
Great atmosphere, drink a bit pricey but the entertainment is worth every penny
Good setting, drinks arent too expensive and theres plenty of room to stand, sit and mosh. However, I do wish that there was more seating available
Had a bad experience I could not bring my vape in but cigarettes and weed were no problem there beer is extremely over priced and staff is rude acting like theyre police searching people before they go in
I really liked the way the bar & venue was setup. But the restrooms broke & we had to use unisex ones. But I really liked the V. I. P lounge
Great place. The venue was clean.Sound system and lighting system was fantastic. I highly recommend.
Excellent concert venue. Friendly staff. It can get very hot, especially if its overly crowded.
Nice venue.... was surprised that not more came out to see British Lion, Steve Harris side project. Still sounded very good and venue was very intimate
They always have great rock artists perform there. They also gave out 3 sets of tickets to another show in between performer sets. I was impressed.
Always enjoy the drinks, atmosphere, meeting new bands like Jessikill great band, Jessica has an outrageous voice, hell the whole group is Badass!
Really cool place!
Nice smaller venue. You can see some pretty popular bands here without spending too much.
This place is very comfortable and cool. Its very interesting that it shares the same building as the Pyscho Asylum haunted house when in season. LoL
Badass venue for live music!! Would definitely recommend if youre a local band needing a venue or a patron.
This is one of the best bars in town. The acoustics are good for the main building. Cheap drinks and a great atmosphere.
Event drinks were a bit overpriced at $13 a cocktail with long bar lines, otherwise a fun time
This is a great intimate concert venue. Im not a fan of being in a crowd of a few thousand people so this venue is just right for me.
Great venue for live music! So much fun, the perfect combination between an underground show and a main stage show.
One of biggest stages Ive played at... yet
Kindly include on our tickets that vapes wont be allowed, I had to throw mine away.
Tons of awesome bands of many genres come through including my friends bands Becoming Sons and Relent. Also seen Red here too. Bar available as well.
Enjoyed watching Dunwich Heroes during Weeb Wednesday...Hope to see them play again at the Rockbox!!
My favorite venue to see bands at. Staff is great. Wish the beer selection was a bit better.
Decent venue with decent sound. Very expensive drinks
Had an awesome time that night. By the way great place and friendly staff for a concert.
If you music and your favorite band or artist is playing at this joint and want to eat and have good vibes all around then this is the place to be!!!
Pro tip: they dont allow vapes inside. Great venue
The workers were so sweet. Since Im just 13 and was the youngest one at a crazy concert they made sure that I was safe!
Great Venue, seen some awesome shows here.
Great live music venue that alot great band have played
Their website is useless. It just links to their Facebook. I dont use Facebook. You could take the time to write a sentence or two on the website if youre going to bother having a website.
Beautiful venue. Fantastic bar staff! We will definitely be back.
An enjoyable venue have gone to two shows while Ive been in San Antonio and I plan on going no more I recommend this venue for sure!
Lines were long for drinks, but they had a selection! Met the owners mom, she was super awesome.
Went to the 10th Annual Tim Burton Ball and it was awesome !!!!! Definitely will attend this venue again ❣💯
Fun bar- good music. Me and my friends had a good time. A bit overpriced.
They need to lower the VIP area so people behind can see up frontOther than that its a pretty nice place to go enjoy the live music
Love the band , biggest problem iam a older disabled man there is no place to sit. They should put in more tables and chairs.
Amazing venue the bands are amazing. I bring my daughter with me and they always keep an eye for her while shes rocking out.
