Hideaway Pacific Beach

This place is amazing. The great service started when we called to inquire about the wait time. They didnt answer, but called us back stated they were sorry to miss our call and wanted to see how they could assist us. We came here while on vacation. This was absolutely amazing. They were busy but didnt have to wait long. We lucked out and was able to enjoy happy hour. Everything we had we enjoyed. The kids loved the rigatoni and the pepperoni pizza. Such great quality meat and sauce and pairing the pizza with their hot honey is a great taste. The garlic shrimp and the blue fin poke were amazing hands down. You wont be disappointed with these dishes. The avocado topping has a great amount of heat and the creamiest one Ive had. The lobster roll was good. I wish there was more meat to bread ratio but still great flavor, and the filling is cold, which I prefer, but no hot butter, which it needed. The only opportunity to improve would be for gluten-free options for being in CA little to no options. Our waiter Mario gave excellent customer service and even put up with my mother and her shenanigans. All of the staff were very nice and the place is super clean and despite being busy I did not feel cramped in by the other tables. This is an amazing place and close to the beach. We are gonna come back before our vacation is over to enjoy it again, and possibly every time we visit PB.

Cool place, great food. The layout inside is different but it definitely works.Our waitress was on point with the food recommendations. The Margarita and Mojito were great as well.

Woow such insane atmosphere for opening day. Never have I seen so many beautiful people in one place. The thing I liked right away is how the staff was very accommodating. The managers were on the go and taking care of patrons. Very young crowd with a tiny mix of older couples. I came solo just to peak thru. I tried getting a seat at the bar, but it was too jammed packed. I will definitely come back when things hopefully calm down a bit hehe.

Absolutely stellar place. Very accommodating staff esp with our toddler. Drinks stiff and flavorful. Lots of smiles around and good vibes. Beautiful restaurant very light and airy/modern. Food was delicious. A cleaner diet would do well with the half chicken for sure! We had 2 lobster rolls, the lobster Mac n cheese (lots of lobster!), the chicken, and the ahi poke (the wasabi cream was INSANITY), and a few drinks. Cant wait to come back. Best dining experience in our week in the neighborhood!Ps - the truffle Parmesan fries are the best Ive ever had by some margin. I dont even know how. I will be thinking about them for a while.

The food was amazing, service was awesome. We were nervous being so new that the food and service wouldn’t be that good just yet. Everything was top notch! Very impressed and the atmosphere is great! We needed this in PB!

We sat at 1 of the 2 bars, Jasmine was our Bartender, absolutely amazing at what she does, I have never seen someone make so many different delicious cocktails! She was so friendly, great at multitasking and her service was impeccable. The food was amazing and great portions for an affordable price, my new favorite hang out!!!

Went there with my wife over the weekend. W had a wonderful time there the staff was awesome. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with questions and suggestions. The whole place beautiful they have done a great job!All the best Dustin and Katie

I came with a couple of my friends and we all loved the food. The atmosphere, and the service was amazing. The drinks were very good and cute. We had a great time and will be coming back soon! I do recommend the lobster mac & cheese and the slow roasted rotisserie half chicken!

My kids and I were looking for a place to eat and we happen to find this place. We arrived as they were just beginning to open so the place was empty but within the hour they were almost completely full. We really liked the decor and the service. Our waitress was Paige and she was terrific as were all of the other employees that came by often to check on us. We enjoyed our meal so we would definitely come back again.

Love that this new gem came to PB! Everyone is so sweet and considerate when you come in. Lewis is a super star! The food and drinks are wonderful, you’ll have to give it a try :)

Pros:- Food was good and servers were kind. Bouncer was nice and professional too.Cons:- Too much light for a bar, too much noise for a restaurant. It’s trying to be both.- Really confusing to get in, there’s 2 lines and we were in the bar line. Eventually we got in and sat next to someone with food at the bar. No one came, so we asked someone and they said we have to reserve a table. So we went out and waited and eventually did get a table, but it was chaotic.

San Diego’s take on Santa Monica’s Bungalow. Lots of cool details with the decor (loved seeing a photo of Blink 182) and the staff was great.The gin cocktails had a good mix of strong to sweeter.My only qualm is I can’t get on board with the style of lobster roll mostly because they’re calling it New England (Old Bay ain’t New England) but appreciate the split top bun!

I had the lobster mac and cheese. There fattie fries with the spicy aioli were great crips hot and fat. The lobster mac needs more cheese. I wont complain as it was HH price, same size after HH. This place is loud though. It was packed with young people and tourists. They have a pinball machine which I loved. The server Tilly was excellent. They validate parking for 2.5 hours. This place is huge. 2 outdoor patios and 3 bars. The vibe is great. I will definitely be back after tourist season as I am a local.

This place is more popular than water bar and shore club combined. The nearby competitors are bummed to be losing business so I wouldn’t trust all the reviews. For the most part it is a younger crowd and has a relaxed atmosphere and doesn’t feel like a night club (which is why I think it’s popular)

Came here on a Friday evening and the place was packed! Hung out in the bar area and had a delicious rose sangria and truffle fries. Bartenders were super busy and people started just sitting in reserved patio areas and there was nothing said about it. I would come back with a reservation as this is definitely a hotspot!

Honestly top 3 places ive eaten sit down in PB. ask for kane as your server he was so chill and was so helpful with drink recs, and we got two mini kegs for our group. today is my birthday and i am so glad my friends said we should try this place out and took us here. music is bumping too.

Cool restaurant at first but seems very unorganized there are way too many hosts just standing at the front entrance and I’m not too sure what my server was doing we sat down and the server took our order then we never saw them again? the busser pretty a much did everything ? Good food I guess. Line at night is ridiculous all you have to do is say you know one of the creepy managers and they’ll put you in the vip line if you t_ts

Got a chance to try new spot here in PB. Location has turned over quite a few times over the past years, with the most recent being gringo’s. I think these guys figured it out. Great concept for location, ambience was perfectly on point with the theme and overall vibe. Layout was improved drastically, opening the flow and feeling of the space as a whole instead of being compartmentalized and the center room feels like a really big air b&b/rental beach house that one might split with large group of fam and friends. You can tell the concept put a lot of thought and A LOT of $ into the details which absolutely pays off and makes a statement that clearly brands the concept through continuity as seen in, decor, furnishing, electronics, fire pits, custom small wares including vessels and paper products like the coasters made to look like surf wax logos. Good looking staff and seems like it is the new spot to work. Menu aligns with current trends. Much longer review then intended but why not. Only thing I could say negative was that all of the food was super salty but it might have been a one off but true for all the dishes we tried but Dishes are usually salty- lots of Parmesan reggiano, chimichurri, hanger steak marinated in soy sauce so I still give them 5 stars. I have a feeling this place will be here for quite a while and hope they do ! Makes me feel good about living in PB. ✌🏼

Newest best bar in pacific beach! Very good drinks vibes and music. Get there early on weekends long lines for dancing.

It had an opening pub vibe. The food was good. It was very loud during happy hour but then the ambiance was better. Will come back!

Great hamburger and fries. Also the tempura cauliflower was excellent.

Food was great and Kane really helped us navigate the menu, he was great! Atmosphere 10/10 and can’t stress enough how helpful our server was in our experience.

The bouncer/ managers outside are super weird… I left at the exit because I ordered an Uber and my phone died, so my friend that was still inside handed me her phone to order another uber. I was waiting to see the driver information on her phone so I could wait and sit on the sidewalk and the bouncers kept harassing me and telling me to stand in the line or leave. Confused I walked to the opposite side and then they followed me and harassed me some more even after i explained I had just left and was using my friends phone to Uber. Find something better to do with your time then harrass a customer trying to get home safe and responsibly, that’s actually super lame. I work downtown at one of the busiest bars and the security would never act like this. Maybe he was new or something or power hungry and likes to intimidate girls, idk but he probably won’t last long there as I saw him being petty to some other customers also

We had a great experience here. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was delightful. The pizzas are really good. Highly recommend!

Another facelift on a Pacific Beach landmark location... Ever since the old ox... That location deserves a superstar set up...Nice Beach decor build-out... A nice restaurant by day..... And then sneaky turns into a raging night hot spot at night.... Wish I was 22 again..... Lol

Simple meals perfectly executed at the highest levelHad a burger where the bun burger and toppings were perfectly cooked and beef mashed potatoes and asparagus perfectly seasoned.Worth the price tag

This is a great new place in Pacific Beach! Its a bar, restaurant and lounge with great decor and a really inviting, comfortable vibe. Very similar to Tower 12 in Hermosa Beach. Great food and a great ambiance. Love this place!

Pretty bad I was there as a guest of the DJ and one of the largest NFT artists in the world and stepped outside to take a phone call and tried to get back in at 1am and they wouldnt let me back in not even to close my tab. Wont be coming here again. Ill just order another card that was just ridiculous!

We went for opening night and had the pleasure of having Mario as our waiter. Food, atmosphere and service were top notch. We will definitely be going back.

The food might be great but they need to work on their organization/lines because it was a chaotic mess that resulted in a whole club full of frustrated, aggressive people. i would wait to check this place out until theyve established themselves a little more.

Incredibly long line. Arrived at 11PM and by 12:30AM I was still not in the bar. Also a $10 cover and it’s not even that packed inside lol. Overpriced drinks. Forget this place.

Super long wait, once we got in there the security guard threw my friend out, apparently the managers friends came and started to pick a fight with him while he was just trying to get a drink.After that the server handed me my drink but they were holding it wrong and the drink got on their fingersUghhhWhat a let down to pb
