I visited this place for the first time and let me tell you, theres nothing that I can compare it to. The atmosphere is incredible. The staff did a great job in creating an immersive environment. Everyone was having an amazing time and looked extremely happy to be there.The food was okay, with an outstanding presentation, but not too different from Karinas. Large portions are a plus. I would suggest chips and salsa as courtesy like every other Mexican seafood restaurant.Overall, the team has done a fantastic job in creating a very unique experience, and just for that, I will be coming back. I have already shared my experience with family and friends.

Gorgeous food - really tasty and filling. We ordered fish tacos and chicken burrito to share and it was good portions and presented beautifully.My only slight issue was the service wasnt the best. No-one told us to use the QR menu and they werent keen on taking our order.However, I would return and recommend.

The food was excellent. The bartenders were very slow, not engaging, and literally stood there wiping glasses instead of serving us. The decor is really good! Maybe with the different employees, It would be a totally different experience.

Great place to gather with friends! Banda live on Saturday was great. It gets loud after 10 p.m. I enjoyed my appetizers, my food, cocktail, and atmosphere.

Everything was delicious. The green aguachile was nice and flavorful. The camarones cucaracha were fried with a light breading and the dipping sauces were great. The tuna tartar was over avocado with a delicious black salsa. The quesabirria tacos were also great. The food was one of the best I’ve had in San Diego. Authentic flavors with modern presentations. Great atmosphere and service. Room for improvement: the micheladas are way too expensive being almost as much as the cocktails.

We come here to celebrate my sons birthday andfor a very long, long time, I havent enjoyed a party of flavors on the food as I have tonight at this place, flavor that reminds me of my moms kitchen.Service was excellent, and the environment, for me, was more than I expected, I guess because I love the live music that was playing at the time, of course, this can vary person to person.

Food was pretty good . But service was horrible with no asking of refills or getting the orders there together . By the time we got our last meal everyone was done eating . Then had to look for waitress for our check

This place was a vibe! They had a live banda playing when we got there. We sat what felt like an exclusive venue! Something I would like to rent out for a birthday party! (Which I’m going to find out if they do!)The drinks were amazing. All the margaritas flavors were amazing but I got to say the watermelon was so refreshing. AND THEY WERE BOGO FREE!

You approach the restaurant and it is just a place to try out. The service was swift to seat you down but the service is despicable. I waited 15 min to get my drink order in and additional 23 minutes to even receive the drink. I didn’t even have the waitress return for food. I just asked for the check and leftDo not waste your time coming here

Went with wife and friends. We ordered an assortment of foods. Salsa, guac and chips were fantastic. I ordered the TAMPIQUEÑA LOGAN for my meal. Steak was tender, delicious and well seasoned. All around a good meal. One of the owners came by and ordered a sample of the cucumber margaritas on the house. He also showed us around the disco area and the outdoor patio. Will be going back for food drinks and late night fun in the future.

Prices are good for the delicious food. Ordered Molcajete. Four people can eat from it. And delicious.

Sat us down and ignored us completely for 20+ minutes until we googled better places to eat. Is the best case racism or incompetence?

Bartender Christina stole money from my credit card I already gave her a 35.00 tip she then preceded to add and additional $20 tip claiming she didn’t do it when I went back to speak to the manager the food was ok but there is no way I would ever go back or recommend coming to a place where people that have credit card info etc are stealing.

Food is decent. Ordered the pork belly and sushi and it was good. The only complain is the service and price for some items. Ordered a fountain Pepsi and was charged $4.50!!! Insane taking into consideration it was from the fountain and a small cup. The price on the drinks is off the roof for the flavorless drink ($20-$22 a drink for a Paloma and mangartini). I don’t even pay that in a downtown club and the flavor was nasty and couldn’t even taste the alcohol.

Wanted to try something new and not sure how I feel about it. It was really dead when we came in which is ok as long as the service is good. When we arrived we greeted immediately and seated. Once seated we were greeted with a smile by the server. We began asking questions to which she let us know that she had only been there a week so didn’t know all the answers to the questions being asked. It’s ok to be new so that wasn’t the issue. My issue was that we asked for an appetizer and she offered to bring chips and we said sure. It’s a Mexican restaurant so we didn’t think anything of it. It came out and the salsas were delicious as was the guacamole; which I was surprised about since we didn’t ask for guacamole. We ordered the rest of the food and although I had to send back the steak because it wasn’t cooked to requested temp, which was corrected quickly, everything was tasty. When we got the check I noticed we were charged $13 for chips and guacamole. I wouldn’t normally mind paying but I wish it wasn’t made as if it was included and then charged. I didn’t complain and paid for it but it just seemed as a very deceptive way to increase the bill.

Bartender should know when enough is enough and if you decide to kick someone out because they are now acting irrational make sure you offer at least to call an Uber specially a womanMy wife got mugged outside by 2 guys in this car the had taken her glasses, wallet and cell phone so girls be careful and bartender stop serving when you see they’ve had enough

I’ll start off with saying the food was alright. It’s basically a copy of King and Queen Catina’s menu. My party and I arrived around 5pm and we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. Everything came out separately and towards the end one of our friends still had not received their burger. Before the burger even came out we had asked our server if they could just put it in a to go box because we all just wanted to get out of there. They still plated his food regardless, which they made us wait an extra 15min just for a box. The atmosphere overall was eh, the servers weren’t friendly at all, not once did they come check on us after served our drinks. Never tried to give us more water or anything at all. Definitely would not be returning.

Came here for lunch, delicious cocktails, and Groovy House Sunday. The Table Side Mezcaleria was AHMAZING! Perfect blend of liquors, smokiness, and just a tad sweetness (not too much). Wish we ordered two of those! Also enjoyed the pork belly bites (generous portions!) and the tuna tartar (delicious!). Service was super nice, attentive, and quick. Staff was super hospitable! Glad we stopped by!

We really like the food here. Everything is good. The last two times we have been, the music has been RIDICULOUSLY loud. We almost left this evening. The band is great and the music that is played when the Mariachi band leaves is good but I can’t express enough how loud it is. Whoever decides the music volume must be deaf or dumb and I don’t mean to be funny. People walked out because of the noise level. Thankfully we had a server who sat us in the back to wait on our family because we have started coming regularly and she recognized us. Mariana is super sweet and very attentive. If it weren’t for her, we would have walked out tonight. If you go, ask to sit in her section!

Upscale tacos.We ate dinner here while visiting San Diego for a conference. The Uber ride did not inspire confidence since we had to cross a bit of an industrial area to get there. We were so glad we did!We had three of us and shared a series of taco dishes. Each better than the last and the accompanying sauces were especially delicious.The wait staff was very attentive, helpful, and seemed really invested in our enjoyment of the evening. Our waiter even ran out after us when he discovered we left behind a credit card. A great experience and highly recommended.

Horrible experience. If I could put negative stars on this app I would. The service was bad. The moment we sat on the table, the table was dirty. The food came out an hour and a half after we ordered. We never heard from the waiters about our food, or reaching out to us for refills on waters. When we got our food, we lost our appetite. The food was cold, they didn’t ask if we needed anything else (sauces, napkins, etc), some plates didn’t look presentable or tasteful, and some got their food while others were waiting. When we ask for the check or a box to go, I thought they forgot about us because we didn’t get anything after 15 more minutes of sitting and waiting. They say that DMVs are horrible because of the rude workers and the wait times but this place surpassed it.

We went early evening on a Sunday. The food was spectacular!! The service? PERFECT!! The atmosphere was fantastic… once we moved our table the 2nd time! It was band night so it was LOOOOOOOUUUUUUDDDDD!!!! And I mean bones vibrating loud. Don’t get me wrong, the music sounded amazing! It was just sooooo much louder than we could possibly imagined! You can’t even hear your own thoughts!! Lol!! The staff completely understood and moved our party to a quiet room on the other side of the restaurant and were soooo cool about it! As long as you’re prepared for the live music, you’ll have a wonderful time here!

We were there at an odd time on a Sunday, between brunch and dinner. The bartender was accommodating, and we were enthralled with the mariachi preparing to perform. We had to move along, so I cant comment on their performance but assume the best. Beautiful restaurant.

Food and drinks were good. The bar staff did not know anything about mezcal. The decor of the place is very nice. But heres the part that could be the deal-breaker for me, there were not a lot of people in the place the afternoon we were there, and the three employees that were there were pretty useless. Our server finally came around and gave us some decent service, but the bartenders were not interested in helping us at all.

If I could give 0 stars I would, BUT I can’t so I’ll give it a 1. They sat us down pretty quickly but food took forever to arrive. Not only did it take forever but it ALL arrived separately. My boyfriends food came last and ended up getting a to go box right away. That’s how separate all of our food arrived to our table. Food over all was okaaaay.

Great tasting food! Service was mediocre and the music was WAYYYY too loud. Dial the music down a couple of notches and it will still be heard, not overpowering.

This place is incredible! The tuna tartare is what dreams are made of. My cousin, who lives out of town brags about the food. Karina, our waitress was charming and very attentive. We could not be happier!! Absolutely our weekend go to joint.

The food and presentation was excellent! REAL Mexican authentic food. Service was perfection, just as you expect at any good Mexican restaurant. We ordered alot of dishes and everything was exceptional. Chef came out to greet us and was very attentive throughout our entire meal. I highly recommend La Divina!

This place was phenomenal! We came for my wifes 40th Bday and they made It extra special. The food and drinks were delicious and our server Tony took great care of us. Manuel also went out of his way to cater to our every need. The pork belly hit the spot and we shared the camarones Coasta Azul. Definitely coming back again soon.

Wow my home city with top notch service waitresses were very attentive. Birthday celebration was top notch and good prices excellent food! Got to experience the Dj and live banda what an experience! Went with my friends and service was terrible. Food took sooooo long my friend got a burger and it took a hour and a half to get to him. The whole group finished eating and he still didn’t get it. Didn’t ask if we needed water or napkins. Ones we got the burger we asked for it to go. He had it and it wasn’t even good.

Didnt have the pleasure of tasting their food, I was there with some friends for drinks and dancing. It was Thursday night they had male dancers it was so much fun, great atmosphere and amazing service.

New upscale Mexican restaurant in Logan Heights, by Mercado Northgate. For lunch, I ordered the Cucumber Margarita ($14) which was good but only had one shot of a no-name tequila. I also ordered their California Burrito ($16). You can have it with pork belly or carne asada. I ordered pork belly and was very disappointed. It was NOT pork belly, but bland, regular cut pork. I didnt even finish the burrito. The salsa seemed off, as well. They spent a lot in renovation and the hostess was touting that the place comes alive at night, with music and night club. So maybe go for the night life, not necessarily the food or drink. 2.5 ⭐ 😑

This was overall the best experience yet there is Dj, and Banda our servers are super polite our server was (Karina) and the food is amazing you have to try it.

They get zero stars. Worst service ever. The manager sat us down and we had to waited 20 min before I had to go up to the manager and ask for some water and a menu. He brought us a beer and a mix drink but no menu. Waited another 20 min and still no waitress came up to offer us a drink or menu so we left. Worst place and service ever

It is a fraud, they charge you 60 to go in to see the group and they send you to another track where you cant even see the group and there are no tables. They want you to only consume what is on their list of specials and if you order a bottle you have to be carrying it without have a table
