The guy that runs this place is a total douche bag. I went in there earlier today with my girlfriend and after the guy rudely insisted we purchase a disposable vape that she picked out the box and looked to make sure the vape she wanted was inside, (it was still sealed in a plastic bag and the seal was as not broken in any way shape or form) the shop keeper rudely insisted that we had to buy it now. Then he proceeded to answer a phone call while we were waiting to be helped further, and like ANY OTHER store, my girlfriend took the vape out to test it and make sure it worked properly and immediately discovered that it was already leaking and the vape juice was literally leaking out of the mouth piece you could hear it right after you took a hit. I tried to show the shop keeper this while he was on the phone ignoring us, and he proceeded to tell the person on the phone that some people were in there trying to “hustle him”. This guy was absolutely rude, and he also attempted to sell us narcotics while we were there of which we repeatedly told him we were not interested. This tweaker should not be working in a CUSTOMER SERVICE JOB. This place is garbage, stay away if you don’t want to waste your money or your time.

I was able to find the Mighty and the Plenty from Storz and Bickel here at Illusions, at their location at 3205 Midway Dr, it’s on the right hand side of the Seven Eleven, it’s a little hard to find but just look for the black banner with Champ on it!

This was always my favorite smoke shop and all the employees are so great! I’m so excited that they’re back on the map now and getting their new shop going! Definitely worth a trip if you’re in the area!

Ive been going to the shop consistently over 3 years and never had a better time finding exactly what I was looking for. The shop is always changing, whether it be cosmetics, products or vibez one thing remains and its quality customer service from Joey or the illusions team members. Always a great experience.Edit: I just recently purchased the V30 3000 puffs ignite and it’s been working like a dream, I definitely need grab a few more next time!

Love this shop! Its conveniently located on the corner of of balboa and convoy. Im never in there longer than I need to be. I always get the best service as soon as I walk in. Joey the owner is a very nice guy and always has a positive attitude and remembers your name when you go there. He also has EVERYTHING you need and never seems to run low on inventory which is important for someone like myself who hates ordering online and waiting for a package to arrive. I came to the shop and bought a Puff Plus. After I left the store I realized the puff was not working correctly so I returned to the store, and the worker was very nice and understanding. He replaced my puff bar for no cost. This store is superior when it comes to products and employees.

Was in there late night on January 2nd around 11pm. Super awesome staff in there was very friendly and helpful. I lived in this area a few years ago having moved from the Midwest and my biggest gripe with San Diego in general was poor customer service and employee attitude and let me tell you what, I can easily say this was single handedly the most pleasant customer service experience I’ve had in the greater San Diego area in all 4 collective years of having lived here.I don’t remember the dudes name but was very quick to be friendly and joke around and take his job seriously where most employees may have greeted and ignored or simply ignored until addressed. Whoever he is should probably get a raise because whatever you’re paying him isn’t enough.Invest in your employees and it pays off

Got a disposable Bang that didnt work. The owner made things right and swapped it for a rechargeable disposable Bang Flow which I actually like a lot better! He doesnt even get credit back from Bang so I appreciate him so much but make sure you try them in store.

I love the selection of puff bars they have here and the owner’s super chill as well. There’s also a freakin dog named champ that works here as well, probably the best part!Just got the chance to try the easy oval disposable. I still like puffbar champs better. The exit oval is much stronger vape but the flavor on the puffbar is better for the lush ice.

I walked in and the guy said Ill be in the back if you need anything without even asking if I did. So I said I actually could use some help and tried to ask about tanks and he without knowing what I had said we do t have anything for you. So I asked about O rings and he said they didnt carry them even though I saw them in the case. Here I was ready to spend my tax refund at this store and the clerk clearly had no interest in doing his job. I will not be returning and Ill be spending my wad of cash I set aside somewhere else.

Glass on my vape smoke Electronics damage so I have to look around I went couple places I didnt see when I search on Google Map I found this place customer service was great . I asked her I need glass only probably cost a V10 $15 no problem Plus the flavor . She told me they dont have glass for my vibe and I was very desperate for smoking. I was thinking spending twenty bucks I spent sixty bucks I have to buy a new one after she talked to me. WOW. incredible selection of water pipes, hookahs, all kinds of cigarillos, and amazing service. I went in and bought a vape and wasnt capable of getting it to work so i went back to the location and talked to the owner and within 5 minutes i had everything i needed and more. The whole staff even invited me to sit and watch the basketball game with them, i will definitely be back for more of my daily necessities.

Entering the shop I was greeted as tyho Id been there 1000 times, yet it only bout the 6/7th. but the owner Joey did remember me an my likes. very comfortable an the t.v. s music an the VERY large selection of everything you could have need for attracted me into returning. and yes I do tell all my friends that its the place to go, EVERYONE . really like the place, only I do wish they still sold the sage sticks that they once did, where can I get them again????

Went in and got 2 fuego bars. When I opened the second one there was juice all of the bar. I cleaned the bar off and when i ripped it it wouldn’t stop ripping. Went in and switch it out easily :) super good customer service

DONT USE YOUR CARD!Read review for: Shady business exposed.They prefer to take debit or cash and will give you a hard a time for using credit. A recent review of my bank records showed something weird the day that I purchased:1) Box of 60 Fumari Coals (MSRP $10-12)2) Khalil Mamoon Clay Bowl (MSRP $6-8)3) Khalil Mamoon Tray (MSRP $5)Being said, I was understandably confused when my grand total was $38.60, since $10.00 is a pretty steep markup from what should have been MAX $25.00 before taxes. I am not a frequent customer here though so I neglected to argue it and went my own way.It gets worse though...Reviewing my bank account, on that day I went to see them I have a charge of close to $50.00 on my card. They added an additional $10 to my sale after I left the shop. Now Ive paid $50.00 instead of $25, a 100% ripoff. I will NEVER be shopping here again. These guys are running a scam operation here and I will never again take part.

Prices are constantly changing and way too high. None of their employees know what theyre talking about amd cant even answer the most basic of questions. Went here for about six months and the staff has changed completely at least twice.

Worst vape shop ever. Totally over priced and cheap fake stuff. I went in there for a snow wolf and the guy wanted to charge me $120 and $80 for a cheap battery charger. Owner is a dick wasted my time and gas right down the St I got all that stuff and batteries and a tank for way less and I didnt feel belittled for not knowing everything about the industry. I am smart enough to know when I am being taken advantage of and lied to. If you have a choice of going here or not going to a vape shop dont go. Worst place I have been to by far. Also smelt alcohol on the owners breath completely unprofessional drinking on the job what the hell. Also know for a fact they sell to underage people.

Holy heck that was a bad experience. The guy who worked there completely ignored me when I came in, instead choosing to focus on some prank show on their TV. It took his co-worker coming in to break his trance before he decided I was worthy of his attention. I asked for two things: A V12 Prince coil and some menthol juice. Firstly hes all unsure about which juice is which, and grabs two boxes hesitantly saying I think these are menthol (To his credit, the boxes had ice cubes on them). I didnt want to deal with anymore nonsense as I had already been there for 20 minutes so I grabbed the one that had a more appealing flavor description. He did not ask me what nicotine level I wanted, despite me asking for 3mg and I had to ask him twice until he switched out the 12(!) mg box he handed me for the proper one. After that I asked for the coil. I explained I was using the full size V12 Prince and that I prefer the mesh coil. He didnt ask me what ohm rating I wanted, just grabbed the first box he saw that said V12 on it. I explained I just needed a single coil (as they had singles) and also explained that I wanted a specific ohm rating (0.12 for the curious. Pretty solid in the V12). He reaches into their singles basket and grabs not one but two different V8 coils (which look nothing like the V12 coils) and tries to give those to me, but I show him the picture on the box (he has still been kind of distracted by the TV this whole time) and he eventually fishes out a proper one (0.15 ohm but at this point Im nearing the 40 minute mark and my lunch break is almost over). Exasperated I decide Ill go with that one and proceed to pay. I was rather shocked when I saw how expensive they were compared to other vape shops. For one bottle of juice and a single coil my bill was over $40. I will never be returning to Illusions and I highly recommend you try one of the other fifty vape shops in Clairemont Mesa instead.

I went in for a vape device specificly for smoking cessation. The service was great, and they were very knowledgeable. They didnt try to upsell me into a giant cloud maker, they listened and showed me the different products and prices and eventually (without pressure) paired me with the perfect device. A very satisfying experience all around.

Illusion has recently moved to a new location, but its right down the street from the original! 4488 convoy, San Diego CA is the new address for those who are curious. If youre looking Nat Shermans then look no further; seriously I felt like I looked for them at a dozen other smoke shops and couldnt find them. Also they made me write this review after I was done shopping but its chill (lol), the staff were helpful and nice regardless.

The person working was disgustingly rude. I tried to buy something and he told me i couldnt buy it,for some unknown reason he wouldnt say. Also he took his mask off and on multiple times during my visit. I felt dirty just being in this shop. Really disappointing.

I went to Illusions vape shop yesterday to get new coils for my tank and the female employee asked what kind of coils do I need? I told her Im not sure can you take a look at it? She examined it very carefully and gave me the coils I needed (which did not fit my tank at all by the way). I trusted her because since she works there, she would be an expertise at these kind of things.I went back to try to exchange it but she said since I asked for these specific coils, she can not give me a full refund or exchange due to their policy(1) I did not asked for this specific coil. (2) I gave her my tank for her to look at what type of coils I needed.Today I went back and did the same exact thing but this time it was a male employee and this time he knew what type of coils I needed right away and told me they were out of stock for now. That being said, I now have coils that do not fit my tank at all and also wasted my money...Never comming back here again until the owner knows how to hire employees who know their products-Thanks Illusions vape smoke shop

Great smoke shop have some of the best vapes and a lot of cool new juices I havent tryed! They helped me fix my old vape and hooked me up with a great deal on a new one. The have a lot of cool water pipes and hookahs. I love the workers there always really nice!

Its 9:30. The open sign has been up since I got here at 8:45 and no sign of employees or the owner. They are supposed to open at 9 but I guess they forgot.Totally unprofessional, and have effectively wasted my time, gas, and money.
