I went there last night and was not impressed at all.First and foremost, if Im paying for a ticket, then Im paying for the comedians to make ME laugh. None of the comedians were funny, yet they took it out on the crowd and kept criticizing people in the audience for not laughing. The host even snapped at a guy for looking at his phone, and the last comedian snapped at a guy who didnt have a smile on his face.Like I said, Im paying for YOU to make me and the rest of the audience laugh. If theyre not laughing, then its probably because your boring storytelling about mundane crap in your life isnt striking a chord with us. When you beg for laughs, then youre just receiving sympathy laughs. Maybe theyre being censored, or maybe theyre trying to avoid hot button topics, but this was the night after the presidential debate. Those two clowns gave the internet memes for months to come, so how come none of the comedians even touched the subject?Drinks are super pricey as well. I only drank soda water, and my date drank some rum and cokes. For something like 3 drinks each, the tab came out to $58. FIFTY EIGHT DOLLARS!! For water! The doormen were cool and nice, as were the servers. We werent even offered a menu for food, though, so I dont even know if they were serving anything but drinks. Im from the South Bay, so my normal go-to is the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach. Ive never had a bad night there, so Ill be sticking to that and avoiding The Laugh Factory. As far as seating goes; they didnt even fill the premium section. That should have been a red flag for me, but I figured there must have been something else going on that night. After the show, I realized people probably just dont like going there.Plus, parking is awful.Improve your game, and dont take your lack of talent out on the crowd. Youre there to entertain us, and no... we are NOT being entertained.
The service here was so great! Took my little sister here for her birthday, and Katrina, along with the rest of the staff, went above and beyond to accommodate and make her feel special! Thank you so much Katrina, youre the real rockstar!
The customer experience at Laugh Factory is absolutely diabolical. We’ve been on a couple dates there and I think the final nail is in the coffin. For some reason the management has locked in and doubled down on uncomfortable and illogical customer service practices. My boyfriend and I are super kind, reasonable and fun people. This was our experience.Positive first:MOST OF THE COMEDIANS WERE SUPER FUNNY AND GOOD. We laughed a lot and liked many of the acts.Negatives:-They made me “check” my small backpack and just casually asked my first name and then when I came to pick it up it was just sitting open out on the counter, unlabeled and literally anyone could have grabbed it (they didn’t ask for my ID or name when I took it, no one was even looking)-They seated us in the front row, which neither of us wanted, saying that with general admission we have to sit where they seat us. We kindly requested to move just one row back, and she said that it’s policy we have to sit where they seat us. We totally understand the comics prefer people close up to keep a vibe, and we’re not trying to sit in the back or separate from people, just one row so we don’t feel targeted or put on the spot during the show. She said no. We asked to upgrade our tickets so that we could pick our seat. She said no!! To more money? Wild. Why on earth would you *want* your guests to be uncomfortable? And when they offer you more money to stay and support and preserve their comfort but still turn them down?? Also! The reason we got the front row is because we were early. They seat front to back. So you are also being punished for being respectful and on time. We were targeted and talked to by every single comic. All audience members are different and some people DO NOT like being in the front or talked to during performances.-General admission prices are not cheap by any means, each ticket was $30 on a Sunday night. So for our $60 plus strict two drink minimum for each person, this is easily over $100 to not be able to respectfully request to not be berated and absolutely SHOVED into the first row, elbow to elbow with the other uncomfortable guests beside us. Literally touching! The tables are tiny, the chairs are tiny and on top of one another. Every guest we were nearby complained, rearranged their tables and were talking about it.-The server working the room was coming up and talking to guests that the comic was specifically talking to in the middle of jokes. Multiple times it ruined the flow of the joke and the room, one comic even mentioned it. The server never acknowledged and clearly did not care at all.-Our server forgot my partner’s drink 3 times, and also went to hand us someone else’s drink.-Each and every comic made jokes about how empty and uncomfortable the room was, even though we’ve just been forced to all sit together and made fun of for coming out on a Sunday.-Every time the host comes out or the house manager comes on mic they force you to scream louder and louder, which makes you feel like a dumb idiot preschooler being told what to do by their teacher.-The only snack available is chips and guacamole (do not get the salsa, it is like ketchup). The drink list and preparation are basic. For a “no outside food and drink” policy, offer some enjoyable options. The venue is forcing the customer and the comics to hold the massive weight of their shortcomings in practices and training. As an audience member you *feel it*. The room was mostly empty, as it was the last time we came. The comics were bummed and joked about it constantly. We love going to comedy, we love supporting long beach, we love to eat and drink. If we’re showing up like that- What are you doing wrong? If you’re not selling tickets and the customers aren’t happy, why are you doing all this??THE SYSTEM ISN’T WORKING BABES- Get some new management!
Be warned, parking is terrible. That has nothing to do with the comedy club. The employees outside were Nice and funny. I arrived before my tickets and had to wait outside. Theyre very nice about the whole situation. The club was clean and large with not much of an audience because I was there on a week night. Some comics knocked it out of the park. Some did not. We had a great time and I would recommend this to anyone. Im sure I will be back
We went on a Sunday night for my nephew and nieces 21st bday. Not very crowded but still had a great time. Saw 5 comics and all were good and even a few that were fantastic. The guy that plays the guitar was outstanding with impressions spot on! Strong drinks, you get your moneys worth. I only gave four stars because when we went on Sunday the only menu options they had for food were chips with guac or chips with salsa, and I wanted FOOD. But had a great time. Worth the price. Note they do not have their own parking lot so you will walk from the Pike Parking structure. Thanks Laugh Factory!! Thanks for the laughs! We needed them!
My group of 6 went to Laugh Factory. They had 2 lines forming on the outside. We had premium tickets. So myself and a friend was dropped off at the door to get in line, while 2 others left to find a place to park. It was a nice distance away. The last 2 people were meeting us there. I went to the front of the line to ask an employee which line is for the premium tickets. We went back to the end of the proper line. Both lines were long, but once they started letting people in, our line moved rather quickly. A hostess told us to pick where we wanted to sit, so we did. The rest of our crowd finally made it. The tables were kind of small. The place, including the bathrooms, was clean. Not much of selection as far as food. We ordered nachos, but they were pretty spicy to the point that we could barely eat it! Drinks were ok. It is a 2 drink minimum. The comedy that night was very funny and entertaining! We were all very happy with the lineup. I advise eating before or after the stand-up. There were several places to eat at close by and easy walking distance. We had a nice meal afterward. I think the only negative is finding somewhere to park CLOSE to The Laugh Factory. Ladies, if youre wearing heels, have your driver drop you off in front of the place or bring a pair of comfortable shoes with you!
The infamous laugh factory! Almost guaranteed to have great laughs. It was my first time in the long beach location. Admittedly, it is much better decorated than the Hollywood one (see pictures). The comedians are mostly above average. Most sets involve 5-6 comedians so that most likely you’ll at least be able to connect with the jokes of 1-2 of them. There’s usually a pretty big line and seating is not always guaranteed which can make for a not-so-great experience. There is a 2 drink minimum which I really don’t get but for some reason tends to be the norm. The crowd sometimes gets too vocal which is not always the best experience. Overall I enjoy it but there’s massive room for improvement.
The Long Beach location does a horrible job of starting on time. The website tells you to get to the club very early (30 to 60 minutes) before your shows start time....but 20 minutes after the shows start time, everyone was still waiting outside. I finally got to my seat 30 minutes after the scheduled start time. The show started finally about 45 minutes after the scheduled start time.BY THE TIME YOU SIT DOWN, YOU HAVE BEEN STANDING FOR OVER AN HOUR!If you like standing in line unnecessarily, then this is the place for you.The other laugh factory locations arent like this. SKIP THIS COMEDY CLUB.
Lets just say that this place is legendary, and Im glad I had the opportunity to cross this off my bucket list. Visiting on a Sunday night meant a cross section of 5 different comedians; the type youll might see on TV in 5 years and look back fondly on when you saw them when they were just kicking off their careers.I wonder why places like this charge more for drinks instead of charging less and work on volume. I would have been happy to drink 3 more, but the prices make it hard to stomach.
Great time tonight! Comedy was great, all the comedians interacted with the crowd very well, none of them were roasting anybody hard. The venue was clean, plenty of room and the seating is set up great in my opinion. Drink prices are ok. 2 alcohol drinks 1 bottle water 1 red bull and a appetizer was $40 bucks.
90 % of the food choices are no longer available. Good thing we opted to eat before the show. My friend had suggested we just eat there but I suggested otherwise and to just some small items and dessert there. Well, they only had chips and salsa and no dessert, nothing hot like fries. Please remove the menu or update it.
Show was great but the service was below average. Our section was waiting over an hour for drinks and chips while everyone else was being attended to right away. And then our server forgets our drink and only came by once during the 2 hours. He than tried to charge me for the drinks he forgot to give us.
Its way too hot in the theater! 🥵 They said that the AC was on but it honestly wasnt. We were sweating just sitting in our seats. Being VIP we had priority seating but were compelled to move to the back closer to the doors so we can catch some fresh air, then we had a hard time hearing what was said because the staff was coming in and out the whole time talking to each other.. other than that it was a cool show.
Was nice and easy getting in and seated after short wait in line. Drinks were not good, but are strong and not a rip off, like $8. Seats are crammed but you can find a corner nook or something if youre big, you have some options. Park across the street in a garage. Cost $22 to park. That will keep me away except occasionally.
I originally planned to purchase tickets online to watch Paul Rodriguez, but decided to wing it and just stop by to see if the location sold tickets in person. Luckily, someone was able to help with purchasing tickets in person. We shared that we’re staying at the Hyatt, across the street & the worker shared that the hotel had a bogo code for buy one get one free! Sweet right! Upon arrival, we enter and get seated, & the show begins. There is a two drink minimum, so plan on spending anywhere from $30-50 for two people on drinks. We got margaritas and whiskey sours. The drinks were okay. The reason for the two stars is because we were told that Paul Rodriguez would show up that night, and he didn’t. The crowd wasn’t informed that he wasn’t going to show so we were left wondering what happened… point is, transparency would have been appreciated.
Got some good laughs here but they don’t have the chips and guacamole and mandatory 2 items minimum per guest
It was a good experience. Me and my girlfriend went to see Tiffany Haddish.I suggest arrive 45 minutes to an hour early before the doors open specially if a well known performer is scheduled. We had to sit on the second level and there was a two drink minimum, alcohol or non-alcoholic beverage. The server didnt come to us until 40 minutes before the show was over to let us know the bar was open. We didnt purchase any drinks.
Great place! Wish they served food
If the manager ask where would you like to be seated, they should also tell you it’s no cash for ordering drinks. Card only! I didn’t have my cards with me to enjoy the show. I had CASH! So embarrassing to me to have to change my seats..
This was definitely a cheeks hurt sort of laugh night! Willie Macc was by far the best—man is hilarious. Waitress was killing it for how many of us she had to serve. Cabernet was great wine and the white Zinfandel was a good sweet one! Also made a killer White Russian. Fun place, started 15 minutes late but it was a good time!!
They dont accept cash here! They have a two drink minimum which is fine with me because I planned on drinking way more than that anyway... But they wouldnt accept cash to pay for the drinks. They should at least say that on the ticket or the website or something because I Looked, and it doesnt say that anywhere! So lame!
Great stand-up comedy and lots of laughs here. The building is old and definitely needs renovated/remodeled, but the layout gives it a vintage vibe and feel. The servers come to your seat and are very accommodating, mostly because of the two drink minimum requirement with the ticket purchase, but it works. Id definitely go again, especially since the entertainment is always changing headliners, and it was a good experience.
All 5 sets were funny funny funny big crowd too❤️loved Malik standing ovation
Really poor how long people have to wait in line when they say doors open at 7pm. Bad way to treat people. 7.25 and we are still waiting to be let in.
I had a cool time and the comics were funny. Went on Latin night. Paul Rodriguez performed for like an hour!!! Unfortunately, this place looks rundown and old. Bathrooms reminded me of high-school bathrooms. Drinks were strong enough. Not a big snack option... chips, salsa, guacamole and cheesecake.
I have been to various Laugh Factory locations and I have always had a good time and I have to say that this Long Beach location is the worst ever. Especially the male and female staff at the front door and the Female manager that was very rude to everyone And had the I dont care attitude and Was very Disrespectful when she speaks to you or anyone else. She obviously she needed to be retrained in customer service. Im sorry to say that this place was such a let down it was dirty and hot Which was a comment that everyone was saying. Its sad because I am an actor with a pretty big following and I dont think I will recommend this place or ever be back here again and I will recommend to my friends and everyone I know that they should not come back here again. Thanks
Always a fun time when we visit this funny place Great staff and comedy shows 😄
We went to the early show on a random Friday without paying much attention to who was performing. We both had a fantastic time! Two drink minimum -- pretty standard coast to coast -- and they have soda for those who dont drink alcohol. Watch for last second free tickets to early shows and its a damn bargain.
Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. The facility is clean. Not happy with the selection of snacks available, chips and salsa or nachos. There is a two drink minimum per person which is not unusual. Comedic performances were good but of course this varies each night depending on the performer.
Cant beat a Wednesday night out at LB Laugh Factory. The place was not crowded, so seating was your choice. The 2 drinks minimum includes a choice of $6 bottled beer; a bargain in my book. And the comedy was laugh out loud funny with the exception of maybe one of the many comedians we saw.
It was a good experience. Paul Rodriguez is there every Wednesday.Fyi
Great time. 1st time was awesome for a first date. Happy Valentines
Overall the experience just ok.Bad: We went thinking Paul Rodriguez would headline but didnt find out until seconds before final act he couldnt make it.Understand things change but doesnt change the facts that was a massive let down. Drove from central California to see a comedy legend and didnt get that chance then to find out so quickly and played off like they didnt care to tell us. Other cons, definitely stuffy no air flow. Heard so much about the laughing factory brand in general and its reputation this one def seems to not live up to the hype and prestige the brand has. Drinks just ok.Good: Standard 2 drink minimum. The comedians that did perform were good and interacted with the crowd. The waitress for being slammed did their best and tried to keep up. If you park in the correct spot they will validate. Didnt know before hand.
Comedians were good, props to them. Unfortunately, our night was ruined by the 2 minimum drink requirement and how it is enforced. Servers hassle a lot and they will interrupt you during the show to ask/serve you and other people. As speakers of languages other than English, this was extremely frustrating because we need to pay attention while we watch otherwise we lose track of what people are saying and once we are lost we cant understand the bit. This happened with the four comedians. Also, I ended up with a ridiculous total for the things I purchased for the night and have no clue what I was charged for because the menu has no price list on it for anything but cocktails. All cocktails were 15 USD for what we could figure they charge the same for water and beer. Sorry, not coming back.
Had a great night here with a group of friends. Although it was a spontaneous, last minute decision, tickets were available and very reasonable. (One of the perks of it being in Long Beach) Very good staff and service. Great view of the stage no matter where you are seated. Also very funny people performed, so lots of laughs throughout!
I have been to the Long Beach, CA Laugh Factory on more than one occasion. Some days it offers superb shows - other days - meh. The array of comics is outstanding and because of that they can have a great night of talent , while other nights the comics are just so-so. NOTE: This place has a two drink minimum and food is minimal. Unlike other clubs nearby - this one does not offer an opportunity for dinner to be served while watching the show. That was fine, as there are plenty of places nearby to grab a bite to eat before or after the show. Four star rating for the good nights. 2 stars for the so-so nights.
Nice venue. Went on a Thursday night and it was a small crowd. Tickets were $22.00 and you need a two drink minimum. Non alcoholic drinks are $4.00. Will repeat.
We had an excellent time. All the comedians were great, especially the guitar playing comedian. I got to do better remembering names!
A small enough venue to feel intimate, but not overly crowded.Drink prices are decent, which is really surprising for downtown Long Beach. Service was great and the comedians all had their different flavors of fun!Would come again. (not for the easily offended)
The visit was okay however the comedians were somewhat themed for that particular evening we visited. I would not order any of the appetisers which it was only chip and dip options. However chips were stale and cold. Maybe it was from the previous show to cut down on cost.
🤢🤮Extremely disappointed. I got sick and threw up after having a gingerale here last night. I know my body extremely well. Ill save the details. But I know for a fact it was because they either dont wash the cups/hands and/or they handle cash/cards and cross contaminate the drinks. This place is a health risk and needs to be shut down.
Great comedians, easy to find venue. The two drinks minimum makes it pricier than we expected but still had a lot of fun!
We had a really good time. All of the comedians were great. We went on a Saturday, the 7:30 show. For us, the service was great as well! I was nervous because I read reviews that said waitresses didnt come around enough. Im not sure if it was because of the day/time, but we ordered food and 3 rounds of drinks and everything came out pretty quickly.
A very fun evening! Comedians were awesome! Highly recommend!
This is a pretty legendary club... In Hollywood. We went to the one in Long Beach and had a really great time there, too. Tickets can be had for cheap or free if you look, so dont get wrapped up on ticket price. There is a two drink minimum per person in the club. There drink prices are fairly reasonable for the location and type of venue. The staff are nice and they hustle, but if there club is busy it can take a while to get your drink. They do serve food as well, but the menu is limited. The quality is determined by who you see, but they get some talented folks here. You can park in the structure by the outlets, and they do validate a bit of the cost. This is totally worth checking out; it makes for a great evening out!
Nice club. Nice staff. Safe, friendly and inviting atmosphere. The drinks were small but strong, snacks were tasty. It has a small intimate experience to really feel like part of the show and a great location downtown near the pier. Plenty of parking nearby. I required additional services while on the premises and the staff was comforting, accepting and accommodating to my special needs. The lighting and seating were comfortable and they took all expected covid precautions as well. Great club. Nice show. Highly recommended stop in any Long Beach tour, be you a local or a visitor.
We had a great time at the Laugh Factory! The comedians on Saturday night were absolutely hysterical, and we laughed until our sides hurt. The venue is close and intimate, and everyone has a great seat. We’ll definitely be back!
This location does not accept cash so that messed up my evening due to the two drink minimum. But all the artists were excellent...!!!
I personally don’t drink being forced to purchase alcohol to remain in my purchased seat
My husband and I had a great time. The customer service was great. Our waitress, Tiffany, was attentive and kind. I just didnt like that they only had 2 appetizers to choose from and we only saw 3 comedians instead of the 4 that was promised.
Great staff, waitress and door man are cool as hell. They validate parking too! Only one complaint: not much of a menuChips, pigs in a blanket and thats it. Hope they expand their menu. Very cool place to watch comedy.
The fact that they force you to buy 2 minimum drinks is so dumb! What if I forgot my card and I had no cash it’s so ridiculous.1. I don’t drink alcohol and 2. I’m not thirsty. Not coming back here. The manager was ridiculous to spend $4 on a small water bottle and get 2 drinks
Before the show even started this was a great experience. We visit the area from SLC, UT and have made the Laugh Factory part of our stay. This time, I screwed up and order our tickets for 2 weeks before we arrived in town. The guys at the door said, “No problem, we’ll just get a manager.”After I explained my error to the manager, Sophia, she promptly handed us over to the hostess for seating. Great comedy we expected, but the service and hospitality are exceptional. Thank you again Sophia.
Unfortunately, as amazing as the experience was coming here, this establishment has lost my business. My Husband and friends went on Saturday and as previously checked on their website before purchasing tickets, it was nowhere established they would ask for vaccines proof. I am not for or against the vaccine but the idea behind mandating the audience if they want to have a little fun and show proof of this is ridiculous. Considering the low number of attendees, does not make any sense. Also, it would be great to inform the public of this mandate (on your website) before purchasing and having a NO REFUND policy. It was nice while it lasted.IF YOU ARE NOT VACCINATED, do not bother to come. Give your business to someone else like other establishments that do not ask for this “mandate” that restricts people of their rights.
Went to the sold out show for George Lopez. All the comedians were flippin hilarious. However sadly the service was terrible!! They sent out an email saying it was a sold out show and to arrive 1 hour early to get your seats and drinks. So we did but the waitress for our section didn’t showed up late, right at showtime 😡At the end we only saw our waitress twice. The first time was a hour AFTER showtime to take our order. The second was at the end to give us our bill. So Lame!
The comedians were fantastic. The acoustics are horrible. The drinks were expensive as was the entry fee. The service on the floor was slow, and there are no snack options other than chips and salsa from the store. To be fair there appeared to only be two servers. Im so happy that the venue has opened. Please bring some names to the venue, it will help draw us comedy club freaks back!!!@
Had a fun night a couple weeks ago. They have a two drink minimum policy, which means any drink and not just alcohol. Our server was very nice to us and made sure we had everything. I enjoyed my first time at this historical establishment and I look forward to my future visits!
Good comedians but waited outside in queue for an hr before being let in. Time on web and ticket said 9.45pm, arrived at 9.15 as it said first come first served for seats, so wanted to try get good seats, didnt get in until 10.15pm, show started around 10.20pm and finished around midnight. VIP tickets got you in early but there was plenty of seating so Id recommend either showing up at the time specified or 15min later. You can order food and drink inside, had a decent selection, not many desserts though. Need to buy min 2 drinks per person.
Visited laugh factory on July 24, 2021 for the George Lopez secret show.Doors opened at 6 for VIP and 630 for GA.I got there around 615 and got to our seats at 645. So not too bad. Opening act was promt at 7.After 10 minutes of being seated our waitress finally came around.I asked to place a food order along with our 2 drink min. I was told she was not taking food orders. ?? What do you mean!?Basically she said they are so understaffed with waitresses that they dont have time to do drinks and food.We placed our drink order and had to give her our card for payment at that time.We waited and waited, the Opening act did great, the 2nd comedian went up and we laughed and laughed... now the headliner George Lopez comes on and we still didnt have our drinks.I noticed that the waitress was bringing each person their 2 drinks at the same time rather than 1 at a time.Is that why its taking so long? I dont know but I got my drinks close to George finishing his performance.Once the show was over, I did see some people barely getting their drinks. My mind was blown.Wow. At this point why do you even serve them??? Its so rude to let the whole show finish and youre barely bringing out their drinks. I understand you agree to a 2 drink minimum. But thats also under the assumption that youd get them during the show..Well once the show was over, we couldnt just get up and leave. Oh no. She never gave us back our debit card. We waited 10 minutes along with half the crowd to get out card back..We still tipped well because ultimately she hussed her bum and did the best she could. So at this time, I would not recommend visiting the laugh factory. They either need to hire more people, or not oversell their attendance to give the waitresses a fair chance.
Had the most horrible experience with this place tonight was so excited to come out and see Paul Rodriguez when I was thrown out for not having money to buy drinks I paid priority wasted myLast $60 to get in and get thrown out because I had no money to buy alcohol I seriously couldn’t believe it even Paul Rodriguez himself seen it was not cool and great man he returned my money! Seriously so disappointed in this place poor customer service seriously trash!!
Great location down by the Pike in Long Beach with funny comedians. Its a cozy joint which means there really isnt a bad seat in the entire place. Not sure if they serve food but there is a two drink minimum (Reasonably priced) oh dont worry they are not the watered down type either. They usually have some kind of special, like 2 for 1 deals and there is valet parking too.
Well organized, nice venue, and good production. My two issues were that the seats are extremely uncomfortable to the point that I struggled to stay seated the 2 hours and that the drinks are overpriced.
Comedians were great! Celebrated my birthday and had a great time! Two drink minimum. Waitress was quick, ordered a lagunitas ipa.
Its fun. Youll get a good laugh from some pretty decent comedians! Great date spot. I would have a few drinks somewhere around and catch the late show. VIP tickets? Ehhh only if you want to be up close in the front, other than that you have access to upstairs which isnt all that. Youll have a good time !
Went Saturday night, Oct 30. Comedians were so funny. My stomach hurt during the first guy’s bit. Jason (something) - so dang good. The last guy was a pretty angry dude. He kind of brought down the mood. Not angry funny, but angry angry. Oh well. The rest were spot on. I’ll be back.
I came here to see a specific comedian perform months ago. I had been to this venue a number of times before. Normally I get tickets at the door, but on this particular comedian, they were pre-purchased. This was also the first time I was seated in the upper balcony. The view from up isnt bad, but the service is atrocious. Not once did I receive a drink offer. The waitress on the balcony was only serving half of the upstairs so the side I was sitting on received NO service. I didnt have to worry about the two drink minimum and neither did the staff care. To be honest, it ruined the night. My brother was far more upset and it felt like we were segregated from the evening. Needless to say my brother and I have not been back since. Ive let two free admissions vouchers expire because I dont want to guess whether or not Ill be served. I have since grown to traveling to Hollywood. The Comedy Store has amazing service! It really sucks though because I live minutes away, have downtown parking and still refuse to go back to Laugh Factory.
Venue is nice and spacious. Easy to see from every seat. Main complaint is that we showed up at 9:10 because doors for the late show opened at 9pm. Stood in line outside and didnt get let inside until 9:50 for a show that was supposed to start st 9:45pm. They were rushing to get started and we didnt get our two drinks (minimum) until the 2nd comic went onstage. As a result there was almost no energy in the room. Unimpressed.
Not impressed, not spanglish, spent more on the drinks and chips with cuacomele than the actual entrance. Didnt find it at all funny, been to a few comedy clubs, wasnt what expected. No Paul Rodriguez representing
Theres valet parking curbside or public meters that take credit cards, but only for 2 hours. Lots of places to catch a bite before the show. 2 drink minimum...no grabbing nibbles as part of deal - has to be liquids just not strictly alcoholic. Theres general and priority seating, but club is intimate so its up to you to be ringside or hang back. No heckling.
Love this place. Katrina Sophia DJ Mal and the whole staff make the audience and comedians feel like they are at home.
Not the blast and packed room experience we expected, but the variety in acts connected with the small audience and we all had a good laugh.
Mediocre drinks, great comics, old but decent venue, excellent servers, you get a great shot for relatively cheap
Love comedy venues. This is a great place had a wonderful time! Wished there had been more patrons there was only 25 of us and the comedians were great! They need a ton more support
Show time was 945 (recommended to get there around 9), after 10 we were told it would be at least another 20 minutes and no one had been let in, with the line half way around the block.. My girlfriend and I decided to go home rather than be let in an hour after the showtime.Where can we get a refund?
Pretty decent venue located at the Pike in Long Beach. Saw some pretty hilarious Comedians Adam Ray and Eric Schwartz. It was on a Saturday Night where they could have any comedians show up famous or not. It was a great show and really good lineup. Tickets are only $17 general admission if you buy them online. General admission is not guaranteed seating though unless you buy VIP. Just get there early enough and youll get a seat. The only 2 downsides are the parking garage that Laugh Factory validates for is a bit of a walk, so if you or your party has mobility issues there is a curbside area to pull up right in front of the door and drop people off. The other downside is the 2 drink minimum rule. You have to purchase 2 drinks alcoholic or not. We had 1 alcholic beverage and then ordered a water. They bring you an overpriced bottle of water to squeeze more cash out of you. Overall not bad though.
Caught a burlesque show here.Very interesting show, fun, and friendly. The music was great. seats were a bit uncomfortable but the venue was great.Affordable drinks, parking was easy at the paid lot.
Well, I went into the line for the performance knowing what to expect because I’ve been watching Laugh Factory on Instagram for so long I’d wanted to come to see a live show for about two years. My grandma and I checked online for any age limits there may have been and we couldn’t find any so we decided to go. When we got there the man at the door asked for tickets and ID’s so I showed him my ID and ticket and he let us in. We sat down and ordered drinks (of course I got non alcoholic beverages). The first comedian went up and left and then the second one went up and she was really good and I liked her a lot. I ended up saying I was almost 16 and she was fine with me being there and so was my grandma. After about 5 minuets my waitress came up to me and asked me for my ID. She said the manager wanted to see it and the manager came back with my ID and said I had to leave immediately. We made it to the door and the comedian lady was upset that I had to leave. We paid for our drinks already but the manager said we wouldn’t have to pay for drinks but we never got our money back. The door man flipped out and got upset and passively blamed us for going in the first place. I would plan to go back but maybe when I’m 18 and probably alone.
Kind of disappointed with menu offerings (overpriced, stale chips, cheap prepackaged salsa, lousy drink menu). Went with a friend who couldnt stand for long periods (with handicap placard) and they wouldnt allow early seating or even offer a chair, had to pay $60 to upgrade tickets so she could sit down. The three (of four on program) comedians who showed up were good, and I do not blame them for the experience. Will not go again.
It was a great show and funny but no air conditioning so made it uncomfortable waitress was prompt and polite
Great line up Sunday night. Laugh with my girls for my birthday was just what the laugh factory gave up. Our stomachs hurt from laughing so hard! FYI they do require vaccine cards, which is not on there online information.
Should go more! Good time in a comfortable setting with really no bad seats in the house. 2 drink min and my beer was warm so check that but otherwise a great comedy experience
This particular location is without any major acts which leads me to believe they willing closing soon. My recent visit was for a decently big name who apparently canceled many weeks earlier and, although we were told they notified ticket holders, I never received notification. Looked the act up and he is scheduled to perform and has been performing no where near this location. Something is fishy here. GO TO A COMEDY CLUB THAT HAS ACTS SCHEDULED THROUGH THE YEAR.
Good show saw mardi gra. Good experience. They only serve drinks. chips & salsa & No food or snacks. But will definitely go back. Staff very friendly
We got there late and still sat us far with no tables to place our 2 drinks minimum, I get it I was last just f.y.i. if someone gets there late also theres no food serve here otherwise its just like any other place, friendly staff but I guess u come here to laugh and munch on something as well with ur 2 drink minimum.
Absolutely ridiculous venue.. don’t go to this one .!!!! Wait in line for a hour . Mixed up entry process… fine print in terms that may not allow you in… don’t believe me fine out the hard way !!! I will never going back again. Me and party also noticed the black people are being checked for vaccine cards while they just ask white people there name and let them in .. Long Beach laugh factory straight BS.
Amazing show and location 🤩 our waitress was great, only downfall was no service kitchen. I suggest visiting one of the many available restaurants around the laugh factory before your showtime.
You can have a great laugh at this place. We saw a celebrity try to get into stand-up. He was OK. The headline comedian was hilarious! Later after the show, everyone who was on stage sat a table. They would chat with people, sign autographs, and they let you take pictures with them. Almost as if they were regular everyday people like us... unusual right? Lol
Five star comedy, one star service. The two drink minimum really killed the night for me as I’m pregnant and they had very minimal nonalcoholic drink options, but I was forced to buy them even though there wasn’t one thing on there that I was excited about drinking. And then I had to pee the whole show since they made a pregnant lady buy two drinks, and I couldn’t enjoy the comedy. I already bought the tickets, and forcing people to spend more on drinks than tickets is BS. Won’t be back.
Funny stuff, decent menu. Some of the reserved seats are crappy, so, you might as well save the $10 and get general admission. Also, please, we are there to hear the professional comedians, not the wannabes in the audience.
The host was so funny. The second comedian has some problems with people in the front row. They kept talking and interrupting him. Security handled everything smoothly and the show went on. Hands up for the Laugh Factory for handling things professionally. Over all we had a great time.
This is my go-to comedy club and as with any comedy show with an unknown lineup, it can be a hit or miss. Im happy to say though that most of the comedians I have seen here were pretty entertaining. There is a two drink minimum, and they make them pretty strong. If you are looking for free tickets, you can always join their facebook page. On certain days, they will have free ticket giveaways...usually on Thursdays. Ive also received complimentary tickets from Red Cross for donating blood.
Overall good, accommodations very nice, the personal working excellent communications, kind, and helpful. The last 2 comedians were not that good, the last one kept on talking about how good Columbia is which I have personal experience working in that area and others outside of the USA and her view is exactly opposite of mine. Our country is not perfect but we have freedoms because of our constitution that no one else has. Example is try being an illegal in Mexico and see what type of life you have, you dont get any money or services.
Great venue...great drinks ...great Comics
The comedians were great! The drinks are a bit expensive but strong (2 drink minimum per person) The food was not good. Next time I go I plan to eat beforehand.
Long Beach Laugh Factory is a fantastic venue. The service is awesome and the talent is above par. The Rainbow Pop show on the last Wednesday of every month is the best show to see. The comedians are super hilarious and its a guaranteed good time!
Went with a client and his family we were very disappointed two of the comedians one guy who said he was on the hangover and another large blonde woman not funny very vulgar inappropriate nobody laughed at these two...The last guy was amazing Italian Mike Marino loved him!! the 1st 2 comics were pretty funny dont remember their names 1 guy was from Australia he was funny drinks overpriced We sat at 1 of the bench seats very uncomfortable they need to rethink their seating plan for people that are in their stablishment over an hour sitting straight up hurt your back after a while
Here right now. First thing waitress did was ask my husband for his credit card to hold. When we asked why, she said some people sneak out b4 buying 2 drinks and this is how they keep you from leaving b4 buying ur 2 drinks, by holding your credit card hostage. We requested his 2 and my 2 and asked for his card back. She wouldnt have gotten my card. The show was totally ruin. We will NOT be back.
I go once a month for Latino comedy night and absolutely love it. Guaranteed to laugh and what’s better than a good laugh after a rough day. Highly recommended.
This last Friday I was there with 5 of my friends and we were asked if we wanted regular admission tickets for $20 or VIP tickets for $30, so we figured VIP to have good front seats. As soon as we walked in we were seated on the last roll so I informed the waitress that we had all purchased VIP tickets. She informed me that there were no more front seats available so she was seating us there. I asked the waitress why they would be offering VIP tickets if there are no front seats available and she said she didnt know so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager explained that at their club VIP means that you get to pick any seat you want at the club not that you get front seats. Well since we couldnt get front seats and we couldnt pick the seats we wanted i asked if we could exchange the tickets for regular admission tickets and she said no. I dont understand why they would offer VIP tickets if only the very back seats are available, which is where I always sit when I pay regular admission. We asked to speak to a supervisor and she said she was the supervisor. This club should have a more people friendly supervisor because the whole time we were talking to her she was really arrogant and had a smirk on her face like we were taking up her time. This situation had me upset the whole time i was there and i didnt enjoy my self. To top it off one of the comedians booked for that night never showed up and i was also overcharged a couple dollars on the drinks i bought with my visa card. I signed a receipt for a certain amount which i still have, but when i checked my bank account app the next day it had a diffrent amount. So I suggest you keep your receipt and check your bank statement. Horrible customer service.
The 1st three comics were very good, the two white comics were too Racially insensitive to everybody else that wasnt white. Me and my party were Horrified at their performance.
The LA staple. A legendary place with comedians are born! I love it here. Its simple, fun and a good time. Great experience watching jokes bomb but everyone here is for the good fun! Love it!
Rude ass door man wouldnt let in a 45 year old in because no Id?? However a lady after told the same man she didnt have her I.d. and I watched her walk right in. He saw that and told us to come here and we said nevermind we sold our tickets. Because Im a white bald man and he was black I guess he assumed Im a kkk member. If he only knew I am on chemo and this was my first night out in 6 months, with my sister no less. If he hadnt let the young lady in I wouldnt even have complained. But wow!! I hope this place shuts down!!!
This weekend was our 13th wedding anniversary, so we both decided unanimously to go to the Long Beach Laugh Factory. We always sit VIP in hopes to avoid being the butt of any jokes. We were seated at our seats and the show was in full swing. We decided to have our drinks and I ordered a glass of Cabernet (from the menu) and 3 glasses of Perrier. When the waitress returned with our receipt, she had charged us $6/each for the Perrier and $25 for one glass of Cabernet.Convinced that the waitress must have simply made a mistake in calculating our bill, I asked her about it and pointed out the $25 charge for the one glass of wine. In attempting to speak, she basically presented as dishonest! She, first, claimed that my wife ordered the Merlot for me and as if to blame her for the error. However, I reminded her that my wife did not order for me. I ordered for myself; and did so after looking at the menu. I ordered Cabernet. Nonetheless, this waitress insisted that we ordered Merlot and that the cost of the Merlot I was served was $25/glass.In an attempt to prove that I ordered Merlot, she left our table to retrieve a menu. My wife and I watched as she proceeded to go from table to table looking at menus. In the meantime, my wife and I looked over the menu at our table. What we saw was one section in which various kinds of (probably house) wines were listed including Cabernet (but not Merlot) all for about the same price (>$10), and another section below with other kinds of wine options that were somewhat higher in price. However, Merlot was not listed within this section either AND even among these more expensive wines, none was $25/glass. Merlot was not even on the menu. When the waitress finally returned to our table, she did acknowledge that Merlot is not on the menu at which I was looking, nor was it on any menus that she looked at while away from our table. However, she also went to claim that there was some sort of new menu (which no one seemed to be able to show me) on which the $25/glass Merlot was listed. At this point, I asked to speak with someone else. It was beyond me that this waitress could not see how charging me for something that I did not order, that is not on the menu and apparently cost more than anything on the menu is unethical and maybe even illegal and worst of all extremely insulting! While I felt and still feel that my concerns were simple, obvious, clear, easy to understand and reasonable, trying to explain this to the waitress and the manager proved futile. In all honesty, I initially assumed that the waitress’s and managers inability to address the situation was a result of comprehension challenges as opposed to an intention to rip me off. However, once I experienced the manager, her adamance and unwillingness to communicate with me, it became clear that all they wanted was the money. They seemed indifferent about my concerns, about customer satisfaction and, in fact, seemed unmoved by the scene that began to brew in the back of the club regarding all of this while comics were still performing. I was truly disappointed. For me, it was not about the money, it was the principle. In the end, I just paid the incorrect bill, with the overcharge for the wine and left feeling disgusted.I will not be going back ever again which is very sad because my wife and I really enjoy the laugh factory.
Great place to come see tomorrows big names. Tonights show had funny comedians. The crowd was small. I say there were about 30 -35 people in the audience.
I had a good time. The comedians were funny service was good. Just dont sit in the front and talk! Lol. The comedian on stage will get on you...🤣😂🤣
Lovely place with the best talent... .we laughed so hard we cried! Some of our favorite comedians we saw there are Tiffany Haddish, Chris Redd, Chaunte Wayans and Tehran. If you go to their website BEFORE 6PM you can buy discounted tickets. Also, if you follow the comedians on instagram or facebook, they can put you on their list for free.Theres metered parking on Ocean cleaning 9pm. Theres also a parking lot where you can ferry validation from the movie theater. You can also valet for $10 I think but call to double-check.Bathrooms get packed after the show so go before or if you cant help it, during acts...but avoid going at the end.
Great venue. Very well organized. The comics where quite clean and rediculiously hysterical. Great value for $20. Plenty of time following the first show to take on the town.
Dont go they ask for a vaccine like its 1909 cant come in with out it i will never spend my money on a place that does this its rediculous and doesnt make sense . When purchasing no statement about vccine
The comedians are off the hook! The drinks were ok. I ordered a Moscow mule, the first one was aight..... the second was super strong. The drinks and food suck! The comedy is great.
First time at this location and I have to say its pretty big compared to the one in Las Vegas, there is a 2 drink minimum it can be non alcoholic, I always have 3 drinks anyway, the waiter was nice and the doormen were nice as well, the crowd was mixed age which is good, we had a great time the comedians were hilarious, we will be back thank you
Love this place. Guaranteed a good laugh. 2 drink minimum and it doesnt have to be alcoholic so definitely worth it. I find that this location is less crowded so I like that.
BEWARE, if you pay cash, they take and hold your license. They did not return it to my husband at the end of the night. We called the next day, they had the license and said they would mail it to the address on the license. When it never came, I called back. They said their protocol for this is that they drop your license (without an envelope) all by itself into a US post box and Thats how you do it the manager says. What???? I called the post office...any non-mail items they find in any boxes are sent to their lost and found until someone claims their things. They could not find my husbands license. I called the Laugh Factory back to let them know so this does not happen to anyone else. No apologies just okay Ill tell my manager. I am so angry and shocked.
I laughed so hard that my stomach muscles were sore after I left the building!! Two thumbs up and what a great manager who runs the place, I cant recall her name but she is fabulous.
Comedians were really good. Food service was non existent due to lack of employees but otherwise great. I visited May 15, 2022.
This place is REALLY REALLY AMAZING. I’m been there Friday night with my husband for his birthday. We enjoyed it very much. Not expensive and excellent show.
Never have i found a place so therapeutic to the soul as the laugh factory. You cannot go wrong here , all the comedians will make you laugh and you will enjoy you whole experience here. Kinda wish the hot chocolate didnt cost me 6bucks tho.
We had a great time everyone treated us teally well. I probably should have spent more money in support of the club and all the employees. Oh and to support yhe comedians. great times
Pretty awesome place to enjoy stand up with friendly service. Two drink mandatory minimum, alcoholic or non alcoholic, great energy, lots of space. All around fun spot to go to!
Staff is very friendly, comedians are funny, and drinks are always great!
This location has really gone downhill, they no longer serve food and the drinks are very washed down most of the employees are new and don’t know what they’re doing, this was our last time here, will definitely not be coming back.
What a joke as a latino I was insulted. Bree at the front door tried to charge us 4 times the entry fee into the venue. A list in which we were already on the list coming to see a booked comedian as their guess. The sad part as a latino I was coming to support the Latino show and she was clealry acting with a smug attitude and clearly racist.
Worst locale ever. Mandatory 2 drink minimum spoils the night if you dont have a designated driver. Had 4 vip ticket vouchers, made reservations for two then phoned ahead if I could bring two more people since I had 4 vip total but was given half off because reservations werent made ahead of time despite the fact that the show wasnt sold out. Worst experience ever. Never going back to this place again.
My husband and I had an absolute fantastic time tonight!! We are only in town for the week and we will definitely be back!!!
The Manager was very rude about the 2 drink policy
Always a great time here. All comedians were great as always. Service was fast. Drinks were great.
Good comedians and long sets. Only complaint was the 2 drink per person minimum. What if you dont want to drink that much?
I got this ticket to the laugh factory and it was really funny its only about 25 to $30 to get in depends if youre paying for VIP I also found that the price is inside werent as bad as I thought they would be you do not have to buy an alcoholic drink the two-drink minimum also includes Pepsi the food was definitely an A-list
We thought we were buying tickets for this location and arrived to find out our tickets were for Hollywood the location was happy to accommodate us looking forward to lots of laughs.
Bought tickets but they wouldn’t let us in cause one of us (a group of 8 people) forgot their ID. We asked for a refund but the managers wouldn’t give us a refund even though we just bought the the tickets a second ago. Worst customer service ever. DO NOT GO THERE.
Overall a great show, and well worth stopping in even if youre only mildly interested
First comedienne wasnt funny at all, second and third comedians were pretty good. 2 drink minimum when you buy your ticket...
Love it here!! I was able to see Tiffany Haddish before she made the Girls trip movie here! Love to laugh and this is my go to place for a stress-free laughable night!!
Great acts great waiters great venue...plus it was my first time at a comedy show and absolutely loved it
Entertainment was good the service was great I just think that we could have been spaced out a little bit more other than that perfect.
The atmosphere was great, the down fall is that they pushing the 2 drink minimum. I felt like they where forcing me to get A DUI
It fills up fast so be there early , was fortunate to see Paul Rodriguez.
I have been in different laugh factory, last night was the worst night ever, out of all the comedian 1 was good.Long Beach laugh factor was bad.
They require you to bring your vaccination card or recent Covid test. Didn’t see that on the website so we weren’t prepared. Bummer.
It was really fun! Two drinks minimum per person. Really big inside.
We had an amazing night laughing the night away. Enjoyed the comedians and the host. Place is clean and serve was nice.
The laugh factory is the most consistently good night you can have Im LA. The staff is wonderful, and I have been going for years.
Nice venue with a good layout for enjoying comedy shows. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the show was awesome.
Comics were terrible on this friday night. Stood out in the cold for 45 min before they let us in. Couldnt even get a drink until the show was already half over.
I drove over 1 hour to see acomedian perform, Drew Lynch. No show! We even called to verify his attendance. Very disappointed . I dont recommend this venue for a comedy performance!
Its a nice venue. They could do better in the booking department.
Unlike other comedy clubs that practically stack their customers on top of each other, entry of space. Good service. Funny comics. Parking!
Great line up.... But pre game before you get there. Drinks were very weak.
If you need to get out and have a good laugh the Laugh Factory is still a place to consider. Sit back, have a couple drinks and enjoy.
Very nice spot first time here will definitely return.
I love this place. My husband and I always dip our date night here 🫶🏻
There club itself is nice, the performers were 85 South Show there were soo funny... the club should have them out again..
Seen Brownish posted by Eric Rivera, absolutely loved it, havent been here in years I was just what I needed.Laughter is the cure All.
Nice sized arena. Small enough to still feel intimate but big enough to seat a decent about of people (about 40-60 people)
Had a great time service was great. Anywhere you sit you can see the show
Went on Thursday night with 7 acts. five acts would grade D+, 1 act women, C+ the main act A-. An hour and a half show. For money and time, Dont go during the weekday. Line-up was weak for the money I spent.
We had a terrible experience with the waitress staff that seated us, she was rude and so mean to us so we will never come back.
The show was good, very entertaining and funny. Bad the fact that they make you pay 2 drinks per person.
Always a great time there, save time and buy tickets online and remember two drink minimum!
Good entertainment, had a great time. Only drawback is the 2 drink minimum on top of ticket price.
Great comedians and great service. Nice size place. Anywhere you end up is a good seat.
Two drink minimum. Dont sit in front the comics will get you! Great time.
Dirty that drink seem like theyre made with cheap alcohol and just gross
This place is awesome every single time i come, i had a great anniversary here.. thank you to all the comedians...
Had a blast! Everyone was amazing from front door, to waitstaff to comics
Very funny comedians..fun atmosphere..staff very friendly ...Great tasting hamburgers ..we had a great time
Comedians arent funny, service isnt good. Food was good and reasonably priced.Wont recommend this branch of laugh factory, nor coming here again.
