I like the outdoor patio but was bummed by no sound for the sports broadcast over the TVs. My BLT was very very dry. It was handed to me without any questions of whether I wanted anything else, no napkins, just here is your cracker texture BLT. The Bourbon old fashioned I had was made well, thus more stars. When youre exhausted and looking forward to a good meal and some sports this may not be the place to go. The bathroom toilets are Sus. With a bigger crowd it would be clog city.

Jacks would be great if they had food. RN, the only food available is from a nearby restaurant. The drinks are good. The patio ia top notch. There are plenty of screens and restrooms. Parking is street only. There is a parking lot behind the Foster Freeze, but I dont think its public. The bartenders are cool. Fallon made our Old Fashions perfectly.

I will say food quality here is above average.Portion is big but lacking in flavor.We order non alcohol drink , one appetizer and two of main fishes total around $90

Jacks is a mood. Chill But lively. The atmosphere goes with the crowd. Drinks are good and they are affiliated with jtown pizza, so food options are great. Ive always had a pleasant experience here.This is a regular place I meet up with my friends to have a guarantee good night out.

Clean, modern, and open early for sports (soccer, EPL, F1). Great selection of liquor with reasonable prices. Kitchen doesnt open until 11am. This is my go-to spot for watching F1 (start times can be 6am or 7am PDT).

Its been at least 10 years since Id visited Jacks, so I popped in real quick because I was in the area. I ordered a couple of beers and a whiskey from Monica the bartender and I must admit this place looks better than before with the remodeling and outdoor patio. It was how I like a bar to be, dimly lit, sports on Tvs and music playing. I would definitely stop by again when I get a chance.

Great little sports bar and patio located just north of Japan Town in San Jose. I visited for the world cup final, and the place was packed at 8am. Walking distance to both the wienerschnitzel and frosters freeze, making it a great place to chill and go out for fast food.

Food, drink, Atmosphere was great! Will go back!!! Best pizza Ive had in many yes. I THINK FOOD WAS FROM J-TOWN PIZZA.

Great place if you want to be charged 2 dollars per each refill of watery soda from the tap and 20 dollars for a terrible (and really small) pizza

Nice dive bar with a big patio and a chill vibe. This is the bar I go to whenever I fly out of SJC and have time to kill -- very quick drive to airport from here.

Great service. They didn’t have the drink I wanted, but an employee gave me a great alternative suggestion. Tables and bathrooms were clean. Everyone was relaxing and enjoying the game on a busy Friday night. I’d love to come back.

I just came back from Jack’s, and it was my very first time here and I was with my friend to celebrate her birthday. I asked for something light and the awesome bartender made me a delicious drink that I cannot even remember its name. I had two drink and asked for water multiple times, and the bartender named K or Q was absolutely an amazing and patient person. He was professional, fun, social, and knew what the client wanted and needed. I am definitely going back there 🖤 I did not order food, so I cannot rank it. Overall experience was a joyful one 🙂

Its your basic, overpriced bar. If you were coming in expecting anything else, youre a fool. The staff is 5*. The drinks are expensive, but i enjoy the atmosphere. If i wanted a cheap drink, i would stay home and drink right out the bottle

That was my initial review before I had I bartender (Some older lady I dont know her name.) come out to my car to tall me I could not lay back and chill my car parked in front of the bar( in a perfectly legal spot) after I had just been to the same bars owener bar, just down the street.. by the way I was parked in public parking and I was a customer!. Wow crazy bar lady came out again to harass me, and slammed my car door! I asked for owner number and was ignored she just walked inside. She tried to play victim after I got mad because she slammed my door, so one locals came out I explained the situation and even he agreed I wasnt doing wrong.

Tucked away but when you find it you will be happy they have an amazing patio great staff, great drinks and great food, I should just say Great!!! if you are reading this looking for a place to chill....you have found it

Good selection, good service. What is more though, this place has the best patio in San Jose. Hands down. Come give them your money.

Always pass by this place. Finally stopped in, didnt know it was owned by a former grad of our school. Great drinks, nice bartender, need to buy a shirt next time we go in! Need to bring our teacher event here.

A great sports bar and gem in Japantown. We came here to avoid the crowds of downtown bars. Great service and ordered pizza from JTown Pizza. Outdoor space with tvs for sports and outdoor lighting.

Very low quality! People like this just take up space and drive up the price of rents...this place is so sad....i can see why most of the dispomania group has closed down...maybe this is their last stand

A new staff member was way too eager to strictly enforce the rules. We were told to throw away the leftover food we had with us (closed up in a couple bags) or leave. We left, and won’t be coming back.

$10 a beer, and when its crowded youll not have the opportunity to get one. The menu consists of terrible take-out from a restaurant nearby that they also own. This used to be a regular hangout but Ill never darken their door again.

First timer, stopped for one before picking up a friend of a friend at the SJ airport.The bartender is sharp, a bit of an old timer vibe from him, in a great way. Jovial and engaged, he pours a good pint, but havent had a cocktail yet, so Ill reserve one star until Ive had the full experience.Id like to have more time to enjoy this place so I can give it the fifth star, if it deserves it.

Great place for watching sports. Friendly people. Worked closely enough with another business to provide food all the same as if they had their own kitchen. Bartender made sure all the TVs were playing some relevant. And switched them up immediately after one event ended. Top of my list for this area.

Love going to this place. Its a hole in the wall place mostly known for locals. Staff and people that gol there are very friendly and welcoming. Place is clean along with the restrooms. Prices for drinks are very reasonable. Theres a newer jukebox if you like listening to music. Plenty of TVs for sports. There is also a back patio where you can hang out or play games. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a chill place or go on the weekends if you like socializing.

Fun, clearly neighborhood bar. Lots of interesting and entertaining regulars. Food was a step above, specifically the sandwiches. Decent draft beer selection, more bottles/cans. They even have Hamms, if one is so inclined.

Awesome vibe and location. Bartenders are friendly, prices are reasonable, ambiance is great. Outdoor patio with Cornhole and Jenga. Plenty of screens playing sports, with a huge soccer following as well. My only worry about sharing this review is making it too busy!

I moved to the Northern San Jose/Japantown area a little over a year ago now, and Jacks has become my local bar. Great service and equally amazing atmosphere 👌

Been here a few times in the last several months. The inside bar gets packed on some weekends, and there is a large selection of beers and strong spirits. Last time I visited, I went to the back patio bar for the first time. It is a big area with picnic tables, a bar, and even bar games - some other patrons were playing corn hole.

This was a fun stop, glad to have spotted it while driving by. There was an active crowd and a full house when I was there. Appeeciate how welcoming the staff and regulars were to having an obvious outsider around. The cover was to be expected with the band. Ill come back next time Im around the area for sure.

I went to this dive bar to enjoy football game with friends. The locals or regulars at this bar are not friendly people. We didnt agree with a call the refs made and their comment to us was, if your that kind of fan go watch the game someplace else. So we did and spend our money elsewhere too!!!!I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Go a Harley Davidson biker bar, Mean bikers are mush better people than the ones that hang at this bar.

This is a cool and laid back bar. The crowd here is very chill so the overall vibe is relaxed. Music isnt loud so youre able to hear the conversation youre having!! Bartenders are friendly. They have white claws

Cozy neighborhood bar with an enormous heated outdoor space in the back--dogs allowed, complete with yard games. Friendly, laid back staff, and of course, its always a plus when they play womens rugby on TV

Frist time there I always wanted to go there but never had time, but I made the time today I love it but felt a little Concern about to many people in there an no mask 😷 next time Ill sit outside and see how that work out. the Service needs to be a little better had to wait about 15 minutes to get a drink at the bar and there wasnt that much people when I got there so I left an came back and the place was packed so I just left if I had to wait 15 minutes for a drink an it wasnt that busy hate to see how long I have to wait for a drink when its busy otherwise the place was ok 👍

Extremely small little dive bar. Popped in on a Friday night and had some drinks. They charged us $9.50 each for Well Vodka / Tonics! It was a joke! Mostly ice and tiny glasses. Much better options in the area!

Its a cozy place with good service... Its very small for sports bar, so it can get packed quickly. Oh but they show the soccer games , something most other bars dont get it at all

I went to this bar because I got an email about their Taco Tuesday nights and it seemed to be a promising time. There really isnt any parking available directly around their building so I can do park on the nearest street to them. When I went in, it looked really dive bar type with the main bar taking up almost half of the rooms size. The rest was filled with bar stools and tables with a wall mounted juke box player. I was able to get a drink within the first minute I entered partly because I was only the 5th person there. While I was sitting down,I saw something moving on the floor from the corner of my eye and I thought it was a napkin being blown across the room but when I looked again, it was a RAT!!! This RAT was immediately pushed out with a broom by one of the staff. Ive never been here before but that was just my experience with this place. I wish it could have been more of a pleasant one but it was not.

The hub for Bay Area Arsenal fans to watch matches early morning. So my bias and 5 stars for the place should be expected. They make a mean Irish coffee to set you up for the matches.

Ok everyone. Great beers but no more cheese steaks. The bartender was knowledgeable on the beers bright and helpful.The goldfish and pretzels are still on the house.

The drinks are not that great, and the bartender outside needs to learn that bloody Marys are supposed to have lemon, or lime in them. Only garnish for my drink was one olive.
