Santa Fe Excellent Massage

The ladies here are super nice and very professional. If theyre busy, they lock the front door, which feels very secure. The massage itself was incredibly relaxing. I got the shiatsu, and I highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable. This is an excellent (lol) business that I will be returning to.

One of the best massages I have ever had. The first woman to take deep tissue to heart. Both women were very friendly, professional, and we greatly enjoyed the couples massage.

Very friendly and helpful. Was my first time getting a massage, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. And nervous about being undressed. The Two ladies made me feel comfortable and relaxed.

I saw all the 5 Star reviews and thought I’d give them a try. Unfortunately I was displeased with the professionalism. The music she chose was interrupted by commercials plus her phone rang in the other room and she went to answer it to make an appointment for someone else. Also I wasn’t happy with the fact that they use lotion instead of massage oil and it smelled, well, like lotion. Not my favorite scent. Fortunately she used some hot towels at one point to wipe off the lotion. Mind you this was supposed to be a Swedish massage but it ended up beep a Deep Tissue. It was the least relaxing massage I have ever had. I discovered the next day (and now 3 days after) that it was much like being rolfed. She worked my back so hard that my back muscles have been in pain ever since the massage. Ugh! I won’t be going back and wonder why they get so many 5 Star reviews.

Im convinced the women are not licensed. Dont waste your time or money. We booked two deep tissue massages. We arrived on time and had to wait 15 minutes. Both therapists did not use any strokes applied for deep tissue. At best you could call it a heavy cream applying stroke session. My therapist even applied the cheap cream to my face without asking which triggered a heavy allergic reaction. (my face is swollen and deep red) When we told them that we dont think that they are real therapists and asked for their certificates they just looked at each other. We did extensive research and came to this location because of the almost perfect reviews. Dont be fooled. They either purchased the business or are hired by a crude business person. I considered pressing charges for this careless behavior but decided to just move on. We paid them for the massages (no tip) but would never come back.

Really good deep tissue massage. The ladies knew what they were doing and worked very hard to make sure we enjoyed every minute of the massage.If you don’t want lotion in your face just let them know before starting the massage, instead of giving an unfair one star review here.Will definitely be coming back!

After a week of skiing I found this place on Yelp and went in blind. Happy to report she gave me one of the best massages I’ve received, listened to my sore areas and focused on my back like I asked. Great pressure and attention to muscle groups. Def a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone.

The massage was great. It was my first experience with traditional Chinese treatments and it really got into my spre spots. The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable (I was visiting from a different state)

The ladies here give the best massage I have had. I have had many massages from lots of spas, and these ladies do the best job. I bought my daughter and her boyfriend massages for Christmas for our ski trip. We all enjoyed the wonderful care and attention these ladies give to making you feel better. Small, private, beautiful. I got an hour long Deep Tissue massage and my only regret was not getting an hour and a half.Lu Shi was wonderful, very attentive, and I walked out feeling like a million bucks. I will absolutely be back on a regular basis. Thank you!

My husband and I came out to Santa Fe for our anniversary the end of October. We had a baby with us so we had to take turns. I had Julie. She was absolutely AMAZING at what she does. I was skeptical as I always am but trust me, you wont be disappointed. My husband and I both cant wait to come back!!

Blows Massage Envy (where I cannot seem to get it appointment, even though I’m a member) and the likes away!Very professional, clean and well equipped.My therapist Lucy was MORE than AMAZING! A perfect combination of intense deep tissue, using knees and even waking on my back.. with great skill! …and a soft but firm touch that was perfect for relaxation. I feel great ! So I wrote this review right when I got home to help others find this great place!I highly recommend Lucy, and this establishment.Oh. BTW. There’s a “menu” of massage types. If you like Swedish or whatever more than deep tissueThey have it handled.

Let me start by saying I NEVER get massages on vacation, because therapists are a crapshoot, and honestly I don’t want to waste my money. But visiting Santa Fe from the east coast this week I was in the need of a self care massage and decided to gamble at a local place. Saw excellent reviews about this place and made an appt with Lucy. OMG, this lady was incredible. Dare I say probably the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever gotten!?! She was professional, thorough, knowledgeable and experienced. 90 minutes of pure bliss and relaxation. She’s a tiny lady, and you’d otherwise think the session could be a flop. No sir, she did things to my muscles and joints that have never been done. She was so good that I brought her card to my hotel receptionist and told her about my experience. Encouraged her to pass this information into any guests or any of her local friends wanting a massage. The location is unassuming, a no frills location without high end amenities. But it’s clean, and served its purpose for me, an AWESOMELY relaxing massage. I felt like a million bucks afterwards and the next day. Check her out, you’re welcome! 💥💥💥

The place is pretty good. While it is obviously not a fancy high end spa, it is more than decent value for your money. There is also no one pressuring you into monthly service agreements or anything annoying like that.

Accommodated a last minute couples massage for my boyfriend and I. We were traveling and had a really uncomfortable bed that caused both of us a lot of pain but the massages were absolutely amazing and will allow us to enjoy the remainder of our trip without being in pain! After skiing for 3 days, my body was sore, barely able to move my neck. I made a last minute appointment for a deep tissue massage with Lucy. She was very knowledgeable, I didn’t have to say much about where was hurting, she simply took care of me. That was a true full body massage with lots of stretching, hot towels and pressure if you need it. She was very sweet too. Simple, clean and calm place. If you’re looking for a fancy and super quiet spa, there’s not for you. But if you’re looking for an old school real massage, there is the place. About to send my husband there. Thank you, Lucy!

I had been experiencing alot of pain and sore muscles and came in here for a 60 minute massage. I was so relaxed and rejuvenated. Very clean and welcoming environment. Hosts were very kind. My masseuse was gentle and got all the tweaks undone.

Thankful I have found Judy at Excellent Massage. I stand all day and was in need of a good deep tissue massage. I have been seeing Judy now for over 2 years and will continue to give my business. One star because most elements of the massage felt good, and the second star because the massage therapist was very apologetic for the MANY interruptions.For me, a massage should help my body, number two I should leave feeling relaxed and pampered. I have had many different styles. Some painful, but intended and effective at working out knots and releasing muscle tension. I told her I work very hard physically and am almost always sore. She used interesting techniques. After working on some knots and using interesting techniques, I never got that softening, comfortable release of muscle tension I usually do and I felt like it wasnt really tailored to my body after someone experienced shouldve gotten a feel for what I needed. I was overall unhappy about... the cell phone ringing, her answering, her leaving to talk to someone several times, someone walking in the room twice without knocking, and through the thin walls, heard another unhappy (yet polite) client that sounded like they double booked the (only?) room. She was apologetic they were understaffed, and I tried to be understanding, but their office issues should not be part of my massage experience. They did not have me fill out any forms or ask ANY medical history or concerns.The room was nice, though simple, and the music was relaxing, but did not drown out sounds at the front desk, including her conversation whenever she left the room during my massage.They prefer cash because they get charged for credit cards, so they should tell clients when they book the appointment.I was hoping later yesterday or this morning my body would feel better and at least there was some benefit and it wasnt money and time wasted. Nope. I will not return.

Please don’t waste your time or money at this establishment. I paid for a couples massage and what I got was a nightmare. When we arrived the area where we were to be massaged was dirty as if had not been cleaned in days. The sheets were dirty and the area was dusty which triggered my allergies. Even though I had a couples massage booked there was only one massage therapist there when we arrived. We waited for 30 minutes for a therapist to “come from home” After the massage I can say for certain this man was not licensed.He applied no pressure to my neck and back and at one point had all his body weight on my lower back. Lucy offered to have me come back and do my massage but I opted to just count it as a loss and move on. I will never return, even for a free massage. Ruined my Anniversary, not so Excellent 👎🏾

I called hoping to get a massage due to a migraine, and they fit me in the same day. The quality of deep tissue massage I received from Lucy was top notch. She was kind, thorough, and strong. I feel so much relief. Highly recommend!!!

If you’re looking for an excellent massage at half the price of a Four Season’s massage, this is the place. Although the space isn’t super fancy, it was clean and comfortable. The two Chinese ladies were just lovely. They were so kind and thorough. We both left feeling more relaxed. Always happy to support a local business!

I went to see Li about two months ago, I was in horrible lower back pain. Li was an amazing, caring, and honest person. She genuinely cared about me, I could immediately tell she has compassion for me and the pain I was in. She freed up her schedule so that I could come at a convenient time for me. I have really never experienced a massage as she gives, it is quite amazing and the best massage I have had in my life. It is now about two months later since Ive been going to her and my back is so much better. I feel so much better. Anyone struggling from back pain understands it affects every moment of your life. It is horrific. Li helped me turn the corner from feeling extreme pain to recovering with healing massages from her and her staff. I would highly recommend Santa Fe Excellent Massage. You will not be disappointed! I plan to continue my massage treatments as preventive therapy and for deep relaxation.

Weve gone a total of three times over the past 6 months and have never been disappointed. The amount of care put into the massage is excellent. Although each time has been a different masseuse, each one has left me feeling amazing. Other reviews have indicated bad reviews but this family owned business cares about their level of service. THIS IS THE PLACE you’ve been looking for. Hole-in-the-wall, unassuming, with Chinese/Thai modalities. Judy was thoughtful and thorough working the kinks on my back for a solid hour, paying attention to my needs and pain tolerance. Frankly, I’ve never had such personalized attention to my sore areas, from any masseuse. Also: I had called around town to try to get appointment but everywhere was booked up, even places that promised same day or walk in appointments. Santa Fe Excellent Massage took me in with next day appointment.

I tried many Chinese massages in town, but never could get the good result, so I tried this Santa Fe Excellent Massage yesterday.I was feeling relief from the pain after 90 min. massage! Massage therapist, Li, is wonderful. I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with her in Santa Fe following an 18-hour drive. Her years of experience and skill are obvious in her treatment. She is also very knowledgable and kind and gave me suggestions to help me continue to feel better. I highly recommend Li if you want a strong skilled therapist. She provides other types of massage as well and Im sure is excellent at all.

This is the most amazing massage in Santa Fe! Li and Michael have helped heal me many times. I went like 3 weeks ago. They messed up my appointment time by an hour (had to wait an hour) and told me about the mistake when I arrived. I was ok with it, mistakes happen and I had the rest of the day off...but the massage itself was awkward and I felt exposed during draping.I am an LMT and honestly doubt the woman that worked with me was an LMT or had any formal bodywork training. She seemed to be mechanical...like robotic, didnt seem to have any anatomy knowledge, pressure was on and off, no flow. I felt bad because she was friendly and seemed to genuinely want to help alieveate pain but it was not what I expected and I think could be dangerous if someone is looking for specific help with muscle pain.

I have been frequenting SF Excellent Massage for over a decade and would highly recommend it as a local location for all of your massage and reflexology needs. Li has always helped me to relieve the tension and stress in my body and, consequently, my mind. She is very knowledgeable about the body, pressure points, traditional and eastern remedies, etc. The environment and the rest of her staff are always very welcoming and professional. I always leave feeling refreshed, relieved and rejuvenated!

Here, you can get a truly therapeudic massage in which the therapist is also an intuitive healer. Li is kind and goes the extra mile to help her clients reach their optimal state of health and well-being. I went in after battling a virus and her treatment reflected the expertise of someone who has been practicing for centuries. Yes, I realize that sounds lofty. But thats how I viewed my first session with her, especially following the treatment. Felt completely pain free and rejuvenated. Did I mention that she offers her services for an incredible value, keeping her fees affordable for those of us requiring regular treatment? Her clients travel from out of town to see her, and I feel so fortunate to have found her here at home in Santa Fe. I couldnt recommend Li more highly!

I am taking the time to review my experience with Li, massage therapist extraordinaire! I have had some issues with my spine and sciatica and I have finally found relief! I have tried physical therapy as well as other things without success. I was finally able to reduce my limping and chronic pain after several truly excellent massage treatments. Li understands human anatomy but more importantly has an amazing ability to be able to read problems within the body. She knows and focuses on the areas that need attention even if you do not! I never believed a massage could be so therapeutic! I highly recommend a visit to Li for a treatment you will not soon forget.

She also has other massage therapists at her studio which also makes it nice when you want to try something new. I got a massage here in 2017 and it was awesome. When I returned to Santa Fe in May the first thing I did was get another massage at Santa Fe excellent Massage. It was outstanding! I travel quite a bit and get massages in other states and other countries. In my opinion this is the best massage.

My boyfriend and I came here for a couples massage. We were greeted by a friendly woman and an older man who took us to an extremely sunny back room. When they started the massage we were asked what level of firmness we preferred, but never any questions about troubled areas/injuries. About 10 minutes into the massage, the man who was massaging my bf left the room to talk to another employee at the front desk. When he came back in, his cellphone started ringing. At some point, another employee walked into the room and they were all discussing something or another. Over the course of 5-10 minutes, the door to our room was left open and employees kept walking in and out (my bf wasn’t bothered by any of this, but I was laying completely naked and uncovered and it made me feel really uncomfortable). Eventually, and without any explanation, another woman took over for the man massaging my bf. As time went on, I finally started to feel relaxed.And then my ladies cellphone started ringing loudly. She never bothered to reach over and silence it or turn it off. At one point I thought that maybe it was my phone that I had accidentally left on, but I poked my head up and it was her iPad ringing. And then it happened again later on! I couldn’t believe it.The massage itself was pretty good. She knew what she was doing and worked out a lot of knots that I didn’t even realize I had. Because of this, I wasn’t even going to write a review, I was just gonna let everything go. But when we went to pay afterwards we were surprised to find out that they ONLY TAKE CASH! No where on their website or in their store does it mention this. NO WHERE. And no one bothered to tell us!!! That is really important information to communicate to your customers. People don’t usually carry a couple hundred dollars of cash in their pockets, especially during these COVID days. So, we had to walk 3 blocks to the Wells Fargo and walk back to pay them.During our walk to the bank, I decided to take another look at their website on google and it even says ACCEPTS CREDIT CARDS!!So all in all, the massage was good, the ambiance was awful, not relaxing at all.If you just need a quick sports recovery massage at a decent price, then this place is fine. But if you are looking for any kind of relaxation, then this is not for you.

The best massage in Santa Fe! Ive been with four different therapists, and theyre all amazing.For all of the spas in Santa Fe, rarely do you find one where the health benefits are highlighted as much as the relaxation benefits, and thats 100% the case here. I tell everyone to go here!

Most of the places were overpriced and asked credit cards to reserve the place. Here the price was moderate and worth every cent. The message was great(according to my girlfriends words and she is usually picky).

If you seek a regular massage there are many choices in Santa Fe, however, if you need true body work (healing), this is the place. Li is from China and brings with her much of the in-depth knowledge of the human body and how to manipulate many areas to create healing, alignment and pain relief. I am extremely athletic and she has helped me immensely with a compressed disk I suffered from a mountain bike crash in British Columbia years ago - more so even than some of the so-called great chiropractors. She is the real deal, no spiritual froo froo, just incredible knowledge, strong hands and great intuitive feel. Truly as good as it gets.

The massage I received was aggressive and unsettling. The room and massage table were dirty. And the woman who took my payment at the end was very very rude. Will not go back, and do not recommend.

Li is AMAZING! I had lots of issues from depression and PTSD, as well as abusing my body when I was younger. She does deeply therapeutic work and really gets things moving. She also gives me lots of good nutritional advice along with small lifestyle changes that have improved my quality of life overall. Only see her if youre really ready to improve.
