Came with family who have come before. Omg, this place was amazing. Definitely put this place on your list to check out. We came during an ice storm, so the place wasnt packed. Staff was great, welcoming, and very attentive. Our food came out super quick but was definitely not rushed. All the dishes we had were absolutely delicious.
Legit mexican seafood here. Big platters, and crazy cocktails with shrimp sticking out and chili sauce smothering the rim. They specialize in coconut bevvies with seafood sticking out. The shrimp cocktail is PACKED with shrimp and delicious. The assortment of hot sauces on the table are a choose your own adventure novel of flavors that go good with everything - even the beers. Bad acoustics in the place make it crazy loud. The lighting is like a Kmart and the wait staff are kinda cold. That said: I love this place.
Best authentic Mexican food in Snohomish. The best if you like seafood, but meat dishes are excellent too. Everyone is very friendly and happy to help you practice your Spanish! Many of them are working to learn English. Authentic food and atmosphere. You know its good when the majority of the people around you are speaking Spanish. Amazing, simple, delicious margaritas...yum!!!
We went here last night to celebrate my cousins birthday 🎂. Our waitress was friendly. And the food is a little expensive, but we really enjoyed the music. They had karaoke. And later on some live music. We had a lot of fun dancing. They also sang happy birthday to my cousin 2 times, which was great! We took our own cake, and they provided plates and forks. I ordered the filete empanizado and I really liked it. They also have security at the door, which is nice. Overall I really enjoyed it.
First off let me say, easily some of the BEST authentic Mexican food I’ve had in Washington. Service was extremely fast and knowledgeable. The staff was very friendly and personable. Vibes were an all time high. From the atmosphere to the music to the food everything was hitting the right notes. 10/10 will be going back and will be referring to friends and family. Thank you so much for the great times and amazing memories!
Very disappointed with the service I received. I ordered 4 tacos on Uber eats and when I showed up the lady told me they didn’t have the pork taco so I would have to call Uber to refund that one. I was only given 3 out of the 4 tacos so I kindly asked if she would be able to just swap out the pork taco for any other kind of taco to which she replied “no no I’m too busy.” Important to note that there were only 3 tables seated in the restaurant, and it didn’t appear overwhelmingly busy. As I was clarifying how to contact Uber eats for this refund, she just walked away. Also, Food was okay, nothing special. I won’t be back here.
Worst customer service ever. I was the only person in the restaurant between 6 and 7 PM on Monday and it was empty. I asked about carnitas and the worst bartender Ive ever dealt with said we dont have any but Ill check. She walked around for a minute, never said anything about them besides when I asked again and she said I said we dont have any. Um you said youd check. Then she says do you want the drink or not Im busy. Really? With what Im the only person in the restaurant. Then she made my drink in 35 seconds then started stocking bottles under the bar. Didnt mention food they do have just a drink. I sat there a minute then proceed to express I feel very crossed right know and she says oh yeah, do we have a problem here? Which sent me over the edge and actually pissed me off at this point. I replied yes we do have a problem and says I need to pay for my drink. I said no I didnt even taste it and got up and walked out telling her as I leave you are not a nice person. Just because of this horrible bartender Im never coming back and honestly hope they close down and a place worth going to takes its place.
Great service. Bartender very nice & welcoming. We ordered the 6 on the beach & it was excellent for the price. The only complaint i have is about the veggies, fruit & oysters. The mangos & cucumber are clearly out of season, the cucumbers were very bitter & could not eat them. Mangos were not ripe & a bit hard and green. As for the oysters they did not taste fresh & were a bit warm. Would return for drinks & maybe shrimp ceviche.
Was our first time in Cocos and Im was surprised with all the options everything looked delicious our food was really taste, our Margaritas well made, the chilean girl who attended us was really funny and patient even when we werent very sure about which dish choice. Obviously were going again.
Food: it is great!! If you are into seafood this is the place to be. It is very flavorful. If you are not a seafood fan their is other yummy options.Environment: weekdays are very busy and crowded and loud. But if you enjoy music then weekdays it is. They have karaoke.Weekdays are usually slower so they are quiet and not as crowded wich is nice if you want to hear the people talk at your table talk lol.Service: on weekends it can be a little frustrating because it can be a bit of a wait, but it is worth it.Overall it is great honestly.
Very Very expensive! Steak was so tough you could hardly cut it with a steak knife! Service was lousy! Had to ask for silverware! Highest priced item was $200. Awful!!!!
Admittedly, i did not get a seafood dish, which is the idea of the restaurant. The prices to me seem exorbitant for the quality that you get, I ordered the regular street tacos for $23, and a good portion of the steak pieces were cartilage. The amount of rice and beans that I got on the side seemed smaller than average for your typical Mexican restaurant. As for the tacos themselves, they had some sort of seasoning that made the tortillas somewhat soggy and difficult to hold on to. They also left stains on my fingers. This in itself is not a complaint, but something to keep in mind.My party and I ordered a pitcher of Modelo for $18, but the tap was dry. Instead, we got bottles, two each, four modelos total up to $24.The staff was friendly, but nothing exceptional. For a single plate of street tacos, two shots, and four bottles of Modelo, my tab was just over $80.Overall, its a nice atmosphere, all right staff, but the food is Far Over priced.
Food and service is good but mixed drinks are garbage doesnt even taste like any alcohol in them always have to order a extra shot and still doesnt taste good, way too loud not a place to be if you want to have a conversation.
I really want to like this place, but sadly it is some of the worst mexican food Ive had in Washington. The tacos were soggy, the beef has tons of gristle, the fish was so overcooked it was chewy and dry.The portions are large for price, but without quality it is worthless. The service is ok, I had to request salsa and chips, because I never received it. And it took some persistence to be acknowledged to get the check.
The seafood isn’t fresh. The oysters taste terrible. I have had oysters and have never had any taste like this. Service isn’t good.
I’m from Vegas so coming here definitely feels like back home! Their food is 💯 and Imelda is great! 10/10 recommend Coco’s!
Good food and Mexican ambiance! While I do agree with some of the other reviews, not enough to give them a one star. They’ve been open for just over one week; give them a break! Definitely don’t show up starving because there will be a wait to be seated, there were also a couple of large groups ahead of us so food took a while to arrive, but they did warn us about it when we ordered. Didn’t mind the wait as we sat eating chips and sipping on our specialty drinks while listening to live Mariachi. I would stick to their specialty, which is mariscos/ seafood, since we enjoyed the flavor better than the beef/ chicken. In all, we were there about 2.5 hours from the time we arrived, got seated, ordered, were served, ate and left. I agree that I had to go look for someone to take our name down, that they’re a bit unorganized and working super fast paced but I mean, they’re busy! We did appreciate having like 3-4 people ask us if we had been helped already while we waited. They kept apologizing for the wait and checking in on us. The music can get pretty loud in there, I feel like they need better lighting and ventilation as the smoke from all the delicious meals was all over the restaurant. Overall, you’ll love it or hate it but the seafood was delicious! I’ll give them a few more months before we come back to see if they’ve figured out a rhythm. 👍🏼
Best Hispanic food around. I come from S. Florida and one thing I miss the most is the authentic food. This place comes the closest.
Very fun atmosphere -Service is great. They try their best to accommodate everyone they can and are very attentive. The food was great! I was shocked at how incredible and unique the menu options are!I am looking forward to going back again!Great place to eat!
I expected it to be noisy but with no sound dampening, children running around and large family’s enjoying themselves it is a lot. The food was pretty good, over cooked shrimp w/ shells and veins. Staff is friendly if you can communicate, did not follow up with request and brought the wrong check with someone’s card. Maybe just get take out.
Coco mariscos is a really good restaurant especially for mariscos. The waiter Emma was great
Deeeelicious, Authentic and Superior Mexican food!! This place has delicious and beautiful food!! When you order a Feast from their menu, bring your family!! They also have quite a selection of whiskeys, I was impressed!! Great Service from happy employees, that says alot!! Definitely going back, I suggest you try it too!!
I went to the restaurant on the thirteenth of July with my wife and daughter. We were seated immediately and the staff all around were nice and kind to everyone. Our host was so kind to our daughter, and the food was amazing and you can tell that the chefs were working hard for our enjoyment. It was so good I had to order seconds! When we left that night my daughter couldn’t stop talking about when we could come back so she can experience that all again. If you’re looking for a nice restaurant for a date or for friends/family this is the place to go!
I finally had a chance to try this place. I had heard good and bad reviews and really wanted to have my own opinion. Was not busy at all for a Thursday evening and was immediately greeted and sat. We ordered a couple beers while we reviewed the menu. Instantly was a bit shocked at the prices until we got to the affordable page which seemed reasonable. Fajitas sounded quite tasty and the price was about the same as it would be elsewhere. Our orders were done fairly quick. First the chicken fajitas came out and looked, smelled and tasted amazing. Then the seafood fajitas arrived and the same for them.Looking at our two platters of fajitas, first impression is wow, this is a meal. My buddy devoured his meal in minutes but took me a bit more time to deconstruct my platter without making a complete mess. The whitefish (I am assuming was tilapia) was seasoned well and tasted all right. I then made my way to the shrimp which was a little disapointing as they were still in the shell and not deveined also, very bland. I then noticed a good sized piece of octopus and excited to try it. I was immediately disappointed with the texture and could tell it was way overcooked and lacked much flavor. The deeper I got into my platter, the more you could taste a dirty, burnt and bitter grill. So, my overall experience was, a bit disappointing.Pros: great service, quick meal delivery, large portionsCons: less than marginal food prep (with the seafood fajitas), you could tell that much of my platter was precooked/boiled then, seered on a dirty grill. Lastly, a menu with very expensive meals. Im definitely happy we went with a less expensive meal to discover the less than average quality of seafood and prep.I give a 3 star review of the food but, that is because of the chicken fajitas.I hope the owner/manager sees this review and recognizes it as constructive criticism and an opportunity to improve instead of provide excuses like on many other reviews.
Everything is great except the food, its good, even great but nothing exceptional. All the Mariscos or cured seafood have an aftertaste i cant describe almost like the lime juice is going sour, but they top off with fresher juice. All the other hot food is what youd expect from washington mexican places... fine. Nothing to write home about. Prices are getting a bit ridiculous too.We have also visited during the Night scene, it basically becomes something of a club, pretty fun but beware there is a $20 door fee per person not including drinks or food.
Authentic! Takes you to another world. South American Beaches from the food to the music and Fiesta feelings you get when walking in! Seems like it would be a great place to come on a weekend evening.
This place was extremely delicious with large portion sizes! Our server Valeria had the best personality. Definitely recommend this place, if you love seafood! Also, my husband ordered their taco salad and the shell was freshly made with all fresh ingredients. I’m definitely returning!
Cool place the quesadilla was okay but not worth 18$
I was so excited to try this place for my birthday dinner, but unfortunately, it was some of the worst food Ive ever eaten. I love Mexican food AND seafood, so this place LOOKED really amazing. The atmosphere and music is great and the presentation of the food is beautiful, unfortunately, its only aesthetically pleasing. My fiance got shrimp fajitas, and they came out sizzling hot, as fajitas do....but they did not deshell any of the shrimp. So, he had to wait for his meal to cool down and then spent an additional 10 minutes pulling the shells off all his shrimp before he could even begin to eat. I got Coco Loco, and it came in a hallowed out coconut (which was very cute and I loved that) but the crab was fake imitation crab, the muscles were small, rubbery and full of sand, the majority of my food was just onions, and I can only describe the sauce as warm bland mayonnaise. For the prices of our food, wed hope for real seafood at the very least or to not need to continue to prepare it ourselves by deshelling 700 degree shrimp by hand. Really expensive for some really bad food in a pretty package. Id much rather have an edible meal than a cute looking display. More time should be spent on how the food actually tastes instead of how it looks on the plate.
Large portions, EXCELLENT FOOD!! I don’t say that lightly, and have a hard time finding Mexican restaurants that aren’t insanely Americanized. This place is worth the visit. I felt like I was in Los Angeles, in a good way. The portions are really large, the prices seem expensive at first, but you’ll be getting SO much food. Our party of two ordered 3 things, it was way too much. The Mango Tower alone could have fed 3 people. If you like seafood, you’ll love this place. But their tacos are on par too.
Very fresh Sea Food with authentic Latino flair. Live bands Friday and Saturday. Maria Lola is just a wonderful server from Valparaiso Chile Who is always there to recommend only the very best seafood from the southern seas!
I never give poor reviews... but boy this place had terrible food rotten avocados the old dry beef was so gristly, old and tasteless. It made me nauseated to eat even my children who love tacos, couldnt even eat of one bite....🤢🤮 we had to return the dishes and they still charged us for it 🤔😡 We will never eat here again. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a -5.... Taco Bell has better burritos
Got food poisoning and puked all night long. Service is terrible and we had a group for a birthday party and everyones food came out like 15-20 minutes apart like theres only 1 chef in the back. Aswell we had yo send some food back because of how over cooked it was I will never be back and will not recommend this place🤬🤬
For my experience, food was not good at all. Very insipid, expensive, and not worth my money. Server was nice but wasnt at our table much. The only reason I am rating this place a 3 stars is because of the mariachi.
My husband and I look forward to Taco Tuesdays here. Kind, friendly staff and spacious, clean atmosphere. The $1.50 tacos are wonderful and the margaritas are the best weve had in the area plus they are 1/2 price on Tuesdays. They dont charge for chips and salsa either. Since my husband makes delicious Mexican meals and amazing salsas at home, he is super picky about paying someone else to cook for him. We have tried Mexican food trucks and restaurants all over Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and B.C., Canada. However, I can hardly get him to go out for dinner when we are near home... but he is now willing to go for tacos and margaritas at Cocos! I would give them 5 starts if they had more choices for salsas. Id pay extra for a sampler of salsas/sauces brought to the table! Im spoiled as my husband makes lots of salsas/sauces when we have people over: red (one mild and one extra spicy) salsa, green salsa, pico, guacamole, and the most amazing salsa macha ever!
Went there today with my wife for lunch we drove 35min to get there.. It was our second time and we are definitely going back again. Yvonne was our server and she was very polite and generous... Obviously it will be a longer wait when its full, just like our first time but we didnt mind. It was worth the wait. Good food.
The food here is an experience! But you gotta love seafood because all the coolest items are mostly seafood. Also its very spicy. First time I ate here I couldnt eat everything because it was too spicy for my taste. So I now ask then to reduce the heat for me so I can taste the beautiful meal.I highly recommend this place!
Just wanted to pass the word about how amazing this place is, first time going there and it’s a vibe as soon as you walk in the door it has this outdoors beach type of look,, the best part of my visit there was the costumers service they provided in my point of view was really good,,, Maria Lola and Isabella beautiful by the way oh and the cook shoutout to chef they all helped me out choose the right thing thanks you guys… so gooo and give it a try don’t sleep on them trust me 🤘🏼👍🏼
New place for me and I was blown away. The guacamole is chunky style and the best Ive had at a restaurant. Service was shower than you may like, but the servers are friendly and courteous. Just take your time and enjoy your meal.
I can honestly say that I believe everyone gets different service depending on the time of day theyre there. I was there earlier today...not super busy and with enough waiters. Our waitress was very attentive the first 15 mins there. But once we got our food we had to be calling other waiters over to help us for utensils, refills etc. Our waitress, (a bit older with blond hair) didnt even seem like she enjoyed her job. When she would bring us things she would just hand us whatever it was she brought and not say a word...Besides their service, the food was good, definitely not worth 30 something bucks for a dish but its not something you can find at any restaurant so cant complain.
Delicious food and the service was excellent. The only thing they missed was having more Agua frescas available. Other than that I will definitely go back and recommend it. 👌
The Carne flavor was delicious! This is a place you go when you want to zone out, eat some good food, have a drink and not talk, lol. The music is fun, loud, and its nice to just have a relaxing night.
I’m seeing all these 1 star reviews and it is definitely ridiculous. Obviously the wait is gonna be long if a lot of people are coming in and enjoy their time here . They had a mariachi come in and it was beautiful. I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes the Mexican culture and loves seafood . My food was great and the people were very kinda and kept up with our table and everyone looked happy . And my family was happy . I’ll definitely be coming back !
I will never comeback this place was gross there food was raw it was also expensive for bad food it took forever just to get drink and then food was even longer and when we ask for a checked it’s took about 15 mins but than we needed a box it took longer. Food raw customer service bad.
Would give 0 stars if possible. Service is horrible. The hostess and servers look like they dont even enjoy their job. Had to send my food back because it was cold. I waited so long to even get it in the first that I didnt even want it back at that point. The rest of my family was disappointed with their food as well. Will never go back. Save yourselves your time and money! The only positive thing I have to say about this place is they play good music.
Service was pretty good (it was a late afternoon), but the food was nothing to call home for--instead, I should have gone home! :). First, it was a bit cold when it arrived at the table. The food was pretty bland and for the price ($17.99), it wasnt what I expected (theres really good advertising through FB, thats why I was there). Added two regular beers, and the whole thing, plus your 15% for tip ended up being around $45. I wouldnt recommend it.
This place deserves five stars!!!! The seafood was fresh the price was affordable and the taste is authentic! Not just the food that’s incredible the service is fantastic. The staff was so friendly and understanding :) 10/10 would go there again!
Place was decent bigNice ambient to beMy only concern was that they’re hygiene of the place was terrible 😢 kind of feel sick after eating everything and seeing what they’ve done1st of all something from my plate was Raw after I have taken a couple bite of it and let them know and they just took it from my plate and went to put it back on the grill 🤮 how many times have they done this? What if someone had some kind of infection or disease 🦠2ndly I saw the person wiping down tables drop the wash cloths multiple times and still wipe down surfaces with itThis people need to be retrained
* ordered tacos, 1 of each type.* meat was VERY tough. Gristle.* tortilla was hard to chew* generous portions* kind peopleWe will be back to try other food items besides tacos. We will not be back for tacos.
Today after having a full day of football we stopped in this restaurant and the the services and food were amazing.Valeria was a waitress and I have to say best services I ever had!!!We are definitely coming back!
Very expensive and they don’t even have avocados, which is important for this type of food. The rice was plane and bland. The restaurant was empty and the food took forever and they don’t offer chips and salsa while you wait.
This restaurants owner is a truly remarkable individual. They were patient enough to explain their menu to us. He suggested the most incredible food ever. If anyone is in the area, I strongly recommend Cocos Mariscos.
The enchiladas with red sauce were a little dry. We ordered drinks and our server said it may be too busy for them to make them which was kind of odd/disappointing. They ended up making them and they were good but I’m not sure if I would go back.
Too loud.... you would have more customers if it was not as loud. Not All people like the noise while they try to have a conversation over a meal. Too bad also, as the seafood you served was excellent, but the environment was not sociable, so we wont be back.
Had the worse experience, not a family friendly place, service is bad, and food is DISGUSTING, they take for ever to take your order and when they bring the food to your table the food is cold. Theres a lot of alcohol/drug issues. I highly dont recommend this place at all especially if you have kids never take them there. My kids were traumatized by the environment. The other thing is food is very expensive for a family of 5 you are looking to spend 250-300 dollars and its not worth it at all.
The place was packed. The staff was friendly and always checking in that we had what we wanted. The food was good. IIkoved that there were lots of chili sauces. We enjoyed the lively atmosphere, the multigenerational crowd, the karaoke and watching people be so happy and friendly with each other. As busy as the place was, they kept the tables busses and cleaned up fast. The noise level may not work for everyone but we enjoyed it.
This place was by far one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. The portions are huge, food is absolutely amazing and the service was excellent. My group came from Tacoma and we will happily drive over an hour away just to come back, j would absolutely recommend this place.
Wait staff were friendly but service was very slow. We ordered the fajitas coco with flour tortillas but received corn tortillas. The shrimp in the fajitas had not been peeled so we had to peel sizzling hot shrimp to eat them. The margaritas are large but very weak. My wife said she couldn’t taste any tequila in her second margarita but they did add extra jalapeños perhaps to cover up the lack of tequila. The place looked promising but we won’t be back.
New owners are amazing! The food is not just beautifully plated but the flavors are delicately married with a fantastic atmosphere! The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely going to make it a regular dining experience!
Pictures of what you order is not what you get. Food was not good, oysters were off, would not go back.In response to the restaurantWe did not clean the plate, we actually left uneaten oysters, because the oysters were served at room temp and some of them had foam stuff on them that looked questionable, lots of shell in the oysters, plus we did not finish everything completely. We received 4 tortillas for a meal that was meant for two and then charged extra for 4 more tortillas just to try and finish the meal. Yes we did try to eat as much as we could because the meal cost 85 dollar. Re only got assistance from waitress when we called for her, even though it was not busy.
Good looking menu- bad food. At least dont get take out here. Ordered Tacos Carbon- Which here means steak bits with nothing else in spicy taco shells. Every 5th piece was unchewable gristle. Gross and I love lime juice on steak. The fries AND the nachos were limp and soggy. And what we got is not exactly what we ordered. At $55 for 2 adults and 1 kid it is way overpriced and all 3 meals were disappointing across the board.
Such a bad place to come have a family dinner! So disappointed, so much promotion for not knowing how to cook and how to attend a client! If you’re going to open a restaurant make sure your employees are trained or have experienced in retail! Would absolutely not recommend! Also they take forever just to even bring your drinks!!! They don’t know anything about running a seafood and bar restaurant it’s so annoying! Maybe they should’ve took more time to open to get more organized all the waitress are all over the place such bad service.
Ordered food to go. Wait was 45 minutes. Perhaps if they hadnt overcooked the chicken we would have received our order a little faster. Heres a couple of tips. When chicken is sliced this thin, 4 minutes on each side is plenty. What we got was dry, and leathery. Also for being a seafood restaurant, I expected more from the shrimp tacos. Never put cheese on a shrimp taco and try using some seasoning such as a pinch of paprika, cumin and maybe a splash of lime if youre feeling fancy. Im not going to touch the asada burrito. Maybe my 15yr old son will eat it; he eats just about anything! The bar selections looked awesome though!
Food and drink were great. Service was quick and thoughtful. Definitely will be going back!!
Great Mexican food and drinks. The place was packed on a Sunday. So, plan on a little bit of a wait when you come. The service was also excellent even though there was a wait for both food and drinks. I dont fault the servers because there was not an empty seat in the whole place. Our bartender/waitress was kind enough to give us a drink on the house and she also told my wife they would try to make one of her favorite soups (caldo de queso) the next time we visit. Well definitely come back and Im looking forward to trying the Molcajete Coco next time.
2/2020 Drove over an hour from Seattle after seeing some delicious looking photos on Facebook, and we were not disappointed. We came on a week day with our 2 children and were seated right away. Service was amazing and the restaurant is very clean. What we really came for: THE FOOD! We got a ceviche and a molcajete. They do not skimp on the seafood! Everything that is served has so much flavour. The ceviche was stuffed with seafood and had such a unique and deliciously fresh taste. The molcajete was outstanding! All I can say is that they know how to season their food. We all left stuffed and happy. This is our new favorite restaurant and we will be making the hour drive more often to get a taste of what Coco has to offer! Thank you!!!UPDATE 10/11/20: Came back again today. The food is still AMAZING 👏 SERVICE WAS THE BEST! Food was fresh and came to our table fast and we all left happy, full and with leftovers for dinner 😋
The food was amazing. The waitress Maria Lola was an excellent server. She ensured that everyone was well taken care of. Excellent service!
Excellent! The seafood choices were so many and so large, they are meant to be shared. We had a shared dish with shrimp, pork, beef and chicken asada and a sausage mix. Came with a side of rice, refried beans and tortillas. The presentation was good and the service friendly and timely. Want to go back.
Such a delicious & unique restaurant! This is no rice and beans Mexican restaurant; this is the delicious ceviche (many varieties) and great seafood-platters-to-share that you might be lucky to encounter at a beach resort. Love this place. Great staff too!
Won’t be coming back here again. The first time I went to this place the carne asada was literally half the size of your hand . 2nd time “last night” we went in a group of 14 I asked to split the check and was told she would only split the check for one person. What upset me the most was that she said “it’s a big group so I can’t split the check you would have to ask the other groups to pay you back ”my self working at a restaurant it takes less than 5 minutes of your customer service “your job” to split the checks and I didn’t think they handle it professionally. Won’t be coming back . Ps . My agua chiles were fire.
Terrible place. Worst service ever, mediocre excuse for Mexican seafood, overall bad establishment. Their tables are so jammed up together, music is extremely loud - at the end our ears felt like they were going to burst, you can barely order your food and if you plan on having a conversations at your table forget it, it just wont happen. Food that is not supposed to be cold comes out cold, not eveyone at our table got their drinks we had to ask for them multiple times, and even then we did not get them I had to get up and ask the cashier for water because our guests had nothing to drink.I would not return and most definitely would not recommend it to anyone. And its too bad because by their google photos they seem to have potential to be good.
After crawling through Snohomish with this weeks Highway 9 reroute, I stumbled upon Cocos with much hunger and little time for lunch. The lunch menu is a bargain and offers the expected offerings, but with mariscos in the name and a decidedly seafood-focused menu, I opted for fish tacos. The presentation was understated (no limes, light pico de Gallo) but maybe thats because the friendly staff know more about authenticity than I do: my fish tacos tasted like the sea and I cleaned that plate. Sometimes road work detours can lead to magic.
Super awesome place, the foods awesome, and one of my all time fav top three wet burrito’s. The cook knows how to roll them so you get steak beans and rice in every bite. Some places just lop it in and roll it for a complete mess, but this place sets the bar
Whoa... This restaurant really made a turn around in terms of quality and flavor. This place is honestly the best Mexican restaurant in Snohomish and is well deserving of your money. Get yourself a Mangoenada while youre there and enjoy talking with your family or watching whatever theyve got on TV. The Tacos were on point, and my wife loves the Chimichanga, saying its the best shes ever had, of all time. We will definitely be coming back for some of those higher ticket items!
Worst place, food was cold and old. Customer service was horrible. Piña Colada was literally just a ball of ice no liquid. Would not go again and not recommend. I was highly disappointed on top i had placed a reservation and when i showed up they said they didnt have my spot on hold they were able to give me a table so i appreciated that. Later Waitress 40mins after being seated finally offered water and chips with salsa. Then took order. My husband got his glass bottle coke after like 15mins. Order was also wrong. And food was served like 15-20mins apart from eachother.
Came in attempting to eat there but the two ladies they have there are super rude and do not know how to properly greet people. They had just literally opened and they already starting their day off wrong. I hope they find friendly staff and I will attempt to come back.
Abysmal service and over priced for how little you get. Our cocktail shrimp orders had 4 shrimps and spoonfuls of cilantro. The coco infiel is definitely cheating you. The drinks were more ice than actual drink. I know that you usually get a bit more ice but this was ridiculous, especially considering the price.
The worst restaurant ever, the food was unsanitary, bad luck gave the opportunity of waiting even more because there weren’t the two drinks we wanted, as we left the horrible place my son became to have a stomachache and later on vomited, a one day later it ended up with diarrhea that went to spread to the whole family. One more thing, well actually two, The meat is so under cooked, I took a bite it was as if it was frozen. Secondly the performers/musicians/Singers get drunk at the bar mid-song, waste your time here
Granted we came during at an odd time, 4pm. we ordered a meat platter and it was... ok. the beef had a funky pungent smell and flavor to it but the chicken, shrimp & pork tasted fine. This is a salty food & cold beer kind of place. I think they are selling a party atmosphere cuz the food wasnt very exciting. Id come again to try some other platters like the ceviche, but it wont be anytime soon, itll be when we just so happen to be in the area again.
Very cold inside and the music was pretty loud for a lunch time, but good food and service. My husband didnt care for the margarita saying it was too sweet, but this bartender was just filling in the day we went.
The food and ambiance was sooooo amazing! But the service super lacked. Our server “bombón” (that was her name on the ticket) left me so upset! The bartender on the other hand was soooo amazing. If I’d just had a different service the whole experience would have been so much better
2 star for the service. The food was not good. The siete mares dish soup was tasteless. The price did not reflect what was expected. The vegetables we not cooked. (Maybe this is the way is done. I am not sure).I personally will not eat here again.
Hello! I am one of the mariachis that work here & i love this restaurant! The atmosphere is very welcoming and energetic, which is always nice while working! The employees are super nice & the service is pretty good :) i also love the food!
This place is absolutely excellent! Great vibe, great people, great drinks!!
The best ceviche shrimp delicious seafood ever. The waitress Xiomara was so nice and kind.
Personally the food and drinks are overpriced but the mariscos were good and also the taco al carbon was amazing no complaints there only thing is for the carne asada plate I think they use diesmillo (cheap alternative) instead of real carne asada which is a dry meat once cooked overall I probably would go again but not often due to how expensive some plates are and now I know whats good and bad to get there. If you do go I recommend trying the al carbon taco
Such a bad place to come in here for dinner wit the family. Food isn’t that good. Don’t waste your money here. There is better choices out there. This place is more for people that like to party drink. It’s just a disaster. Just not a professional service.
Came all the way from Othello to try this restaurant. Food was delicious what made it even better was our server Maria Lola, she was always aware of us and took great care of us, amazing service, very pleased!!!
Went there with family, terrible experience. Waitresses have no idea how to to their job. They stand together like a herd of lost and confused cattle. Maybe if they had more than one chef making all the food art, it wouldnt take 1hr to get a burrito... That came out wrapped in tin foil...¿really?
I went there this afternoon and this is By FAR THE WORSE!!! Mexican food Ive had in my life. The mariscos are OLD!!!! Service is a nightmare. You would assume by the menu selection food would be good. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!
Excellent service and a huge menu. I wasnt a fan of ceviche before coming here. The fish, shrimp and octopus were so fresh I could close my eyes and be on the beach in Cabo or Cozumel again...
If i could give negitive star i would. There for over 45min, order food and drinks when we first showed up. Never got a drink not even water. Then waitress said we dont have that food to then come back and say they did. We even went to the bar to try to get our drinks. We order 3 shots, bartender walked away to find out what the well was. Gone for 5min. Then came back. We said we were going to leave unless u can pour our shots. Still couldnt pour the shot with 2 bartenders now. So we just walked out. Never got anything. Worst service EVER. By the way there was 1 couple then 1 guy sitting at the bar. Thats it. Then 3 people working up front.
The food was fantastic. Wonderful and friendly atmosphere. Service was great and the staff are super friendly. Ill definitely take my family there again.
Fantastic food, will return!
It is a good place to eat at, lots of seafood! Of course they still have a small variety of non-seafood dishes, but keep in mind it primarily is seafood. If you dont like loud places then maybe this isnt the place for you though.
Most of the menu is overpriced. Who is going to order a whole Octopus including the head. I got a chicken burrito and I could tell they cooked it in the same pan as the seafood! Yuck!!!!
A very nice place with good music and great service ... the food was great I loved the molcajete. the waitress Adriana was very patient and pleasant.
Nice food, friendly people. Karaoke isnt my thing, so I probably wouldnt go back during Karaoke time. But family loved it.
Very disappointed, very bad service with all three employees .. they served everyone around my family except my family . took forever on drinks and food . they only served my brother his food . they were getting very aggravated. when we told them we were leaving . after waiting TWO hours … 👎🏼
Good food fair prices. Ladies pay attention when you go to the restroom the signs i👩🦰/🧑🦰 but is actually the opposite ladies to the right and gentlemen to the left 🤪😅 someone didnt notice until was in the bathroom
The service is bad The food needs more attention I really I asked for for all attention I need I was management at restaurant but I dont recommend need to working more hard to be professional
This place is awesome! The food is great, the vibe is amazing, and the customer service is outstanding! 2 thumbs up! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some great seafood!
Tasteless and expensive! We ordered fish tacos, aguachile and cóctel de camarón. All of them were gross. Definitely not worth the price at all.
They have the best margaritas and food!!!Maria Lola is a great sever, very friendly and excellent service.
Got food poisoning and there service was terrible ill never be back that was the worst first time experience Ive ever had at a restaurant
Its been super busy the last fews times i have been here. But the food is good! Not cheap but you pay for what you get and i havent been disappointed.
The service is great and they have music at night which is also nice. The food is not good, beers are just price like any other restaurant.
This place is going to get someone sick, the owner needs to just throw in the towel, they cant even afford to heat the restaurant. I was served obvious recooked Carne Asada that ended up looking like beef jerky, hard as a rock and who knows how old it was.
We drove all the way from Seattle,Not exactly what they announced on tv.terrible service service!! Waitress had bad attitude!! Overcrowded, mediocre food for this price point!!
The food absolutely the best... I recommend Cocos Mariscos & Bar to everyone come enjoy family time live music always very satisfied and will recommend to you all.... Best Seafood Restaurant 👌🏻
Wonderful time as always, great place for families, food is always amazing, Valerie gave my 7 month old daughter and I wonderful service!
Food bland and chewy. Service was extremely slow. Not impressed at all, boyfriend could only eat half and isnt feeling good from fish. And there was only one other table.
Great place!!!! First time here and my family and I had a great time . Really enjoyed the music. Long line but worth the wait
The food was perfect. Fresh and reasonably priced. We will return
Very very disappointing with the visit at this place it was a party of 10 people and I got a good server that was trying to help us her name it was Yuri she was trying her best but her boss a blonde hair lady she looked like she didn’t wanna be there so grumpy and making faces. And didn’t try to help the girl with the food not even with the bills
Horrible service and the place was empty on a taco Tuesday night and also 1 server . Didn’t even offer chips or salsa and also out of every drink that I ordered.
Really good staff, my food got to me in time and tasted delicious, 10/10 would recommend.
Horrible service food was over seasoned on some dishes and had no flavor at all like the tacos were bland same with fajitas was constantly forgotten about throughout or visit and there was only 2 or 3 tables including us not planning on returning total nightmare of a experiance
Food was good, but the service was terrible and it wasn’t even busy during the time we were there. Our waitress never came by to ask if we needed anything and we had to ask for our drinks a second time.
Food was great but there is absolutely no space to dance is a restaurant but there is grups the play music at night.
Great food, nice staff, only downside is the music is so loud you have to lean in and shout to have any conversation.
Not the best and very expensive for what they are giving you. Also my waitress forgot to bring out a few itmes from my order and tried to charge me for them.
Friday night security are the best 👌🏼 they should get a raise
Terrible no customer service the waitress was very unprofessional one.thing it was a little boy doing the work the waitress was supposed to be doing.i give him the tips . but I would never go back
This place is amazing. The food is great & drinks are prefect. Expensive but worth it.
Soso food , not my style of Mexican food but music for 20 bucks cover charge ? My oh my mmm fun at least once lol
Soo good!!! Great selection of seafood and l well as tradicional favorites! Great service too!
Food took a little longer the usual restaurants, most of the waitress look friendly ours was not the best until she saw the tips. They had mariachi that sunday!! =)
I will definitely be back, I had to wait a little bit for my food, but it totally worth it.. it was so delicious!
Awesome vibe and dishes. Had a fish quesadilla here even though its not part of the menu
Good service and yummy food. Kid friendly as well.
Went there on a Saturday night, music was so loud I had to shout to get my order heard. Food took forever and when I got it, it was cold and not what I ordered.
Great place..Amazing selection of food and over all excelent service.
Seafood with a great vibe, live mariachi on Sunday and extremely busy.
I will try it again when they have live music, perhaps. The street tacos were decent for a Taco Tuesday.
This place amazing, very delicious food, music and everything. Loved
Waited more than 1 hr to get my food, food is good but they need to get more staff to help cuz they take forget to serve
The food is good but the employees poor attitude they don’t look like they enjoy to be at work so they should just stay at home then period no questions asked
The place is a little small but the food is very good and prices are very affordable
Good food. Great staff. Decent pricing.
Great service there might be a wait sometimes but its worth it the food is great and service is great
Great place !! I highly recommend it to anyone . Long wait but worth the time !
They have Great food and service. Like that they have live music on weekends
Fun place for great seafood and karaoke. Happy to have a bar on this side of Snohomish!!!

Awesome Mexican seafood and live music! Cant beat that! Definitely come back.
Really noise place but the food was ok just take forever to serve you.
Amazing place to chill and hang out, enjoyed our time there tremendously
Terrible service, horribly slow, took 20 minutes to get water, food was sub par
Great food and authentic latino bar environment
Best Mariscos placeService, food, price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Its pretty decent place to go eat lunch.

Lousy example of a Mexican restaurant brings shame to the culture.
