Booked more than a month ahead for a couples massage. We waited because they were running behind and then we didn’t end up in the same treatment room ( as what couples massage are suppose to) but in separate rooms. I do not feel like I received a “spa” experience. The place is connected to retail store, not spacious nor relaxing waiting area. Felt a bit rushed in and out. No one offered me water before or after the massage. I didn’t even see the therapist after getting dressed as she rushed into her next client. Overall, massage was ok. But the setting does not make me feel relaxed nor serene.

I purchased jewelry from this store and it tarnished the day i bought it. It was expensive and i’m embarrassed by the quality… literally tuned my finger green as I walked out of the store. do better

Had an excellent hot stone massage. They focused on the areas requested and were very professional.

Defiantly well worth. I had George for my massage and he was the best. It is expensive but you pay for what you get and that is a great tailored massage. He was kind, professional and well experienced as a masseuse. Highly recommend

Went to Serenity Spa for a couples massage and was extremely disappointed. First, the massage therapist was about 10 minutes late taking us back to the room. Second, the room was chilly with no real ambiance. Third, the oil was cold, I’ve had many massages and not once has the oil been cold. Fourth, the massage ended about 6 minutes early. Fifth, we both walked out thinking we needed to go to another place to have a “real” massage. Sixth, if you are going to charge $440 for a 50 minute couples massage, it needs to be 50 minutes. I couldn’t believe that after being charged an exuberant amount the front desk receptionist actually suggested we go to their store and could save 15% if we showed them our receipt. Like we hadn’t already paid enough for an extremely bad experience. All in all, I definitely would not recommend this place and am sorry I did not read the reviews first.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I felt it was necessary for this one. For what this place charges for a massage it sure did seem like their massage therapists were not very experienced. Went for a deep tissue massage for my back and let the guy know I have screws and rods in my lower back from a lumbar fusion. I’ve had deep tissue massage before, but this felt like I had offended the guy over something and I ended up coming out of that massage feeling worse than before. I gave it some time and waited to see if I felt better the next day but I’ve gone 2 nights with no sleep now due to how bad my back feels. My wife also had a massage and felt the same way after. Both therapists were very awkward like this was all new to them as well. If you’re going to charge over $400 for a couple’s massage, then you better bring your A game. Sadly, this just seems like a “tourist massage” place and you would be better off shopping around at other spas that will provide much better service.

We had a wonderful couples massage here after skiing, Stephon was my masseuse and he did a great job - all my aches from skiing in heavy powder were worked out. Room was quiet and had a nice fire place. I highly recommend.

Treated myself to a long overdue facial. Arrived early to enjoy the steam room and sauna.Meera was my aesthetician,she was extremely knowledge on skin and using the right product on mine. My facial was Amazing and so was she!I Highly recommend, the spa and Meera!

The message took approx 40 min, we were charged almost 400 USD for 2 people. We chose CBD massage, but I cant tell the difference between a regular and CBD oil massage, as this was our first time trying CBD massage. My husband liked the massage given by the male therapist, which is why I give 2 stars instead of 1 star.

Do not recommend. overpriced mediocre massage. the room was cold, i told the masseuse to focus on my back, head, and feet, and she didnt do my feet at all. she barely used her hands, felt like she was just rubbing cold oil on my back for 90% of the time. didnt use her thumbs, mostly her arm. then to top it off she put OIL on my FACE which was aggravating especially as someone with acne prone skin. this was not worth the money at all. she also focused on my arms a lot when i didnt even want that massaged? go somewhere else

Dont waste your time or money. Paid $440 for a 50 minute couples hot stone massage. The only thing we got was an oil rub down and our bodies rubbed with hot stones. This should be called a hot stones body rub because there was no massage in sight and I wouldnt have minded the price if I actually got a massage. The worst part was my neck and back were really tight and needed to be worked. Well, they werent worked at all but they sure did work me. You know its bad when half way through your massage you think to yourself, when we leave here we re gonna go get a massage. In my opinion, the only massage here is their grubbing little hands massaging a few hundred dollars out of your wallet.

Had a couples massage with Stephan and George - they were both amazing!! Strong hands and addressed all the issues. Thank you so much! Highly recommend!

Let me preface this review by saying I hardly ever write negative reviews online or anywhere for that matter. My wife and I were staying at the Marriott Grand Residence and the concierge recommended this place for a couples spa. Serenity Spa had advertising in the lobby of the resort hotel as well. We had an appointment booked for 4pm but called at 4:10 as soon as our 1 hr wait in the Gondola back down the mountain line ended and we got cell service back to our phones. We were on hold while the person who answered the phone talked to their manager to see if we could come for 30 minutes instead of the hour we booked. That was denied because they did not think we would make it and we were charged full price (over $200) for not calling before 4pm to let them know we were running late. Nothing else mattered to Serenity. No discount for a rescheduled booking, no partial refund, just a repeated line we are sorry but it is our policy. I own a small service business myself and when people explain a situation that warrants a little break in the up front cost I try to give the client some kind of break especially if it was out of their control. Metaphorically this business just slams the door in your face and says NO WAY! We spent a lot of money on our recent trip and loved S. Lake Tahoe, Heavenly so this lousy experience is no way going to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I just want prospective customers to beware that you could have a lot of money on the hook with Serenity Spa and if you dont call right on time they dont mess around. There is nothing serene about it.

I had a aromatherapy massage from Joseph. It was absolutely amazing. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep. The whole staff is incredible friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Not worth the money. We booked two SEPARATE massages, one Swedish and one deep tissue. They put us together in the same room... Fine. But both therapists just kind of rubbed us down with oil for 50 minutes and said goodbye. The oil was cold, the room wasnt private (only a curtain right next to the shop), and the massage wasnt anything more or less than I can do for myself. The only reason Im giving them two stars instead of one is because they were very nice and cordial. I would not recommend this place.

I would give 0 stars if it were an option... except that the staff was so dang sweet.The massage... was not good, even dangerous at one point. The only, nearly therapeutic moment became dangerous when the massage practitioner tried to twist my neck in a chiropractic maneuver that left me in worse shape than I went in... one which she was surely under qualified to attempt.The rest of the time I’m not sure what was happening... the practitioner was barely touching me. I paid $40 extra for deep tissue but honestly I’m glad she didn’t try. At the very most, I left covered in oil.😬

These people are unbelievable! The level of their greed is so high I did it see likes of it before. I booked a massage for my wife and myself at the Marriott. Twenty minutes after I booked it my wife started to feel sick with food poisoning. I called to cancel but they said that they will keep half of the charges. I argued with them that I was just at their office to book this but they said that they have turned away customers who wanted that appointment and that I had to pay. This is while they had openings all afternoon when I asked for their availability. When we went for the massage they had no other customer either. They won’t hesitate to make money off of you even if you are sick.I persuaded my wife that the massage might not be as bad of an idea as it seems and she felt a bit better too by the time our appointment was so we got the massage. After that, the combination lock in the locker I put my clothes didn’t open and they informed me that this happens a few times a day and I am one of the unlucky guys. I had to wait 45 min for the hotel security to arrive apologizing and mentioning again that this was not my fault but the locks were bad and this was a frequent experience for their customers. If they know the love vid are bad and if this happens a few times a day, shouldn’t they have a bit of respect for their customers and for themselves and fix the locks?!!!They ruined the last night of our vacation and the money they made from us was indeed bad money!

Youd figure for the amount of money they charge they would atleast have a decent looking room. The beds were old and bent that when you lay down on them youre not laying straight. The therapist dont have any type of training and dont seem to know what they are doing at all. Do your research and go elsewhere. Im sure theres a better and cheaper spot in the area.

The massage was very poor quality. The room was cold and only a light sheet to go on top and no eye covers or heat. I would encourage the manager to have a massage from everyone that works there. It’s the worst laying on the table and feeling like your masseuse doesn’t know what she’s doing.

The front desk attendant was the best part of their outfit.After arriving early as told to fill out the intake form , we waited about 25 min , our one masseuse was late. We had a 50min couples massage.My masseuse mistook me for another intake form , but explained i was hetting a hot stone massage, when in fact it was not. So i corrected. Then she went on to ask about prob areas, as i addressed in form i filled out, but told her again.She never actually worked on amy on the three areas , neck , lower back and shoulder i asked.She apparently thought my face, and calves were the problem areas. Anyone, super disappointed! Massage was late to start , early to finish, and highly disappointing. Way overpriced for a mediocre service at best.

The masseuse was one of the best. Swedish massage with CBD oil made me feel like a million bucks. No sore muscles the next day either.

Go see Stephan he is the best massage therapist I have ever seen. He understands the body so if you need specific work i would highly recommend him

Super disappointed... seemed like a tourist massage. My boyfriend and I got a couples massage and We could tell the therapists were laughing during the massage.. very unprofessional. Before our massage I asked the lady where the bathroom was and she replied “over there I think”.... was not worth the $$ or time. I thought the massage rooms would be tucked away from the store but they were not private at all... could hear people in the store talking... just overall really disappointed

The spa is a wonderful experience! Massage therapists are excellent - best Swedish massage Ive ever had. The facial made me feel 10 years younger! If youre staying at the Marriott, make sure to make this a part of your vacation; the rejuvenation you will experience is priceless!

Hot rock massage was great after a day of snow. Good focus on the areas I said were sore.

My fiancée and I both enjoyed separate massages! I had a very kind lady, cant recall her name, and my fiancée had a gentlemen. My massage therapist was perfect for my liking, she was gentle but worked on my muscles that needed it most and I left feeling amazing. We both added the CBD oil and im thankful we did! My fiancée said his massage therapist was great as well and he knew exactly how to help him with his neck injury. The guys at the front were also great! Definitely a great spot to get you feeling relaxed!

We had a fantastic couples Swedish massage. I followed that up with a Pumpkin Luxury Facial with Meeri. Best facial in a decade. Highly recommended.

First rule of running a massage studio .... The therapist is to meet the client to do the intake...we were required to be 10 minutes early...they still wet to physically in the building 10 minutes after our massage was supposed to start. Completely disrespectful.

Bought a hat here, 3 minutes later tried to return it only to be met with a very stern no return policy...even though I was not informed of no returns. She showed me the sign, which was VERY small. I can understand if I was gone for a while, but this was by far THE worst response from any business I have ever experienced. Shame on you.

My husband and I had a wonderful couples messages. The only thing is you can hear the sounds from the strip, even with the calming music in the background. Also it’s a little pricey compared to other spas in South Lake.

Service: very thorough and good conversationPrice: steeepWarning - buyer beware (before buying): one or more masseuses are unvaccinated (one claims she is immunized having got COVID-19 twice: Aaron Rodgers style 😌) The owner charges an arm and a leg for sessions, though The endorsing resorts nearby (both Marriotts - grand residence, timber lodge to blame) look the other way while recommending it as part of their ecosystem and are ready to disown knowledge of lack of hygiene. The local civic are complicit as the resort town has to let its citizen make a living (with those willing to get services). By the same token Marriotts pretend to enforce within their scope...though loosely.What beats me is what dares them to stay unvaccinated in a high-contact profession.That sets me to question the owners commitment to other hygiene (cleaning sheets, bed after every client...etc)

Recently bought a spray tan for my mom for Mothers Day and treated myself as well. Awesome experience, felt very comfortable and relaxing. Will definitely return!!

The worker that massaged my mum, was quite literally high and didnt listen to the requirements we asked. The deep tissue massage was just her putting lotion/oil on.

I booked 2 facials and a massage in person. When we showed up for the appointment they only had one facial booked. After finding out they didn’t schedule the appointment correctly, I asked to cancel. They said they had to charge me. The staff and manger was very rude and unprofessional!

Great ambiance! I got a massage here but I can’t remember the masseuses name. Either way the massage was one of the best I’ve had and highly recommend this place!

I often got to serenity to purchase oils, stones, massage services etc. Yesterday, I visited this place and the employee was rude. His customer service is not the greatest and I know this from previous visits. Yesterday, his response to a question I asked was so rude and unprofessional.

I love this place and the essential oils but the way they treat their customers is unacceptable. If youre staying at a local hotel go to the resort spa in lieu of going here.
